Franklin, 2 @ Newton South, 0 – FinalFranklin scored once in each half to earn a massive road win against a fellow Div. 1 title contender. Olivia Costa opened the scoring in the first half, finishing a feed from Tori Carmignani. Kelly O’Connor scored from a Katie Ewald corner in the second half to secure the points in a hard-fought, physical matchup. Rachel Welch made eight saves for Franklin. Newton South came into Tuesday’s game as the third-ranked team in D1.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 2 @ Canton, 1 – FinalAttleboro scored its biggest win of the season, going on the road and knocking off Hock powerhouse Canton. Audrey Koen scored in the first quarter to give the Bulldogs the early advantage but Siobhan Landers answered off a corner in the second quarter to bring the Bombardiers level. Landers found the back of the net again in the third and Siany Ortez (12 saves) and the Attleboro defense pitched a second half shutout to close out the win. Alyvia Bessette, Marley Young, and Jordan Mooney each had an assist in the win. “A collective massive team win today,” said Attleboro head coach Jess Pink. “There was no one player that stood out as the defense worked together to secure the win and resist a lot of Canton pressure at the end of the game. The middies fed the offense and came up with some big block tackles to maintain position.”

Franklin, 13 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalFranklin’s Kaitlyn Carney recorded a hat trick and both Shaw Downing and Haley Wernig scored a pair of goals in a big win on the road.

King Philip, 2 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final King Philip scored less than a minute into each the first and second quarter and that proved to be enough in a close battle on the road at Mansfield. Sophomore Makenzie McDevitt opened the scoring just 57 seconds into the contest, and KP took a 1-0 lead into the second quarter. This time, it took just 19 seconds for McDevitt to find the back of the net and double the advantage. Mansfield made a game of it when Emma Redding scored at 11:32 of the second quarter, finishing off an assist from Kristina Kipp on a corner. The Warriors applied a lot of pressure in the second to try and add to its lead, but couldn’t solve Mansfield goalie Lily Danehy (18 saves) again.

Milford @ Oliver Ames, 3:45

North Attleboro, 8 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalAfter scoring twice in the first quarter, North Attleboro exploded for five goals in the second quarter in a big win on the road at Sharon. Ava Spencer scored the opener goal midway through the first quarter and finished the game with a pair of goals and a pair of assists. Caroline Folan and Julia Puccio (one assist) both added two goals while Madison Folan and Ella Luistro each scored once. Olivia LeBlanc scored a fourth quarter goal for Sharon.

Taunton, 0 @ Foxboro, 7 – FinalFollowing a scoreless first quarter, Foxboro staked a 3-0 lead by halftime and then exploded for four goals in the fourth quarter to secure a big win. Ella Campbell scored a pair of goals just two minutes apart, finishing off a pass from Mary Collins for the first goal of the game three minutes into the second quarter, and then scoring unassisted at 10:24. Mya Waryas added an unassisted goal with just over two minutes to go in the first half to make it 3-0. Paige Curran extended Foxboro’s lead 90 seconds into the final frame and then Collins scored a hat trick in the final 12 minutes with Kaelin Connors, Campbell, and Mia DiNunzio each recording an assist.








Volleyball
Taunton, 3 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final Taunton overcame a one-set deficit by winning three straight to secure a 3-1 (20-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-21) win on the road at Foxboro. The Warriors jumped out to a lead with a win in the first set but the Tigers evened the match at 1-1 and then took a very close third set to gain momentum in the win. Sayla DePinra had a big game for the Tigers with nine kills and one block, Hayley Krockta added eight kills and 12 digs, and Morgan Smith chipped in with five kills and a pair aces. Courtney Martin had a good serving game with nine aces along with eight digs, and Anna Abouzeid had a strong all-around performance with 25 assists, seven digs, six aces, and four kills. For Foxboro, Juliana Pettigrew (15 kills, seven digs) and Ava Kirk (nine kills, three blocks, two aces) paced the offense while Shannon McElhinney (18 digs, seven aces) and Gianna Dunne (11 digs, ace) anchored the Warriors’ defense.

Milford, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames defended its home court, recording a 3-0 sweep (25-12, 25-19, 25-22) over visiting Milford. Senior Maddie Homer recorded 19 digs, junior Sarah Hilliard notched 13 kills, sophomore Ava Barth had a big day serving with 18 service points, and junior Paula Romero had a strong game for the Tigers.

King Philip, 3 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalKing Philip opened with a dominating first set and never looked back in a sweep on the road at Mansfield, 3-0 (25-8, 25-16, 25-16). Seniors Emily Sawyer (seven aces) and Sami Shore (two aces) paced the offense with nine kills apiece, seniors Ahunna James (nine digs, four kills, three aces) and Olivia O’Neil (four kills, four digs) both had strong all-around games, and junior Ava Kelley anchored the defense with eight digs. Elyssa Buchanan had four kills and a block for the Hornets while Lauren Rubicine (seven digs) and Gabrielle Moore (eight digs) played well defensively for the Hornets.




Boys Cross Country
King Philip, 24 @ Milford, 31 – FinalKing Philip’s Nate Sylven took first overall and the Warriors had five of the top eight runners to get a win on the road over Milford. Sylven won in 17:02 while Owen Mackenzie (18:59), Eliot Davis (19:12), and Max Miller (19:13) took fourth, fifth, and sixth overall, respectively for KP. Paxton Hubert (19:34) rounded out the scoring for the visitors, taking eighth overall.

Canton, 38 @ Oliver Ames, 19 – FinalThe top harrier for the Bulldogs was Luke Darling, who took fourth overall with a time of 18:59. Also running strong races and career bests for Canton were Austin DiBiasio (20:05) and Maks Alves (20:16), who finished seventh and ninth, respectively.

Mansfield, 15 @ Stoughton, 48 – FinalMansfield took the top five spots on its way to a sweep of Stoughton. Junior Talon Johnson won his fourth race of the season, finishing in 18:00 while sophomore Ben Dury took fourth place in 19:12.

Girls Cross Country
King Philip, 21 @ Milford, 34 – FinalKing Philip took four of the first five spots, and five of the top seven on its way to a win over the Scarlet Hawks. Sydney Kalil continued her winning ways for Milford but the next four runners to cross were from KP: Kate Buban taking second overall (20:32) followed by Rachel Bailer, Leah Burke, and Keira Evans. Bridget Swezey (seventh) and Kat Precobb also ran well for the Warriors.

Canton, 50 @ Oliver Ames, 15 – FinalCanton’s top runner was Johanna Bouwmeester, running 24:04. She was followed by a strong pack of Bulldogs including Klara Redquest, Tahlia Weaver, Honesty Johnson, Nishka Baduamanda, and Tema Mazonson.

Mansfield, 26 @ Stoughton, 30 – FinalMansfield’s Anna Moore picked up her fourth win of the season as the Hornets secured a close victory over Stoughton. Senior Alexis DiVasta was fourth and sophomore Sierra Wojick took sixth for the Hornets.

Attleboro, 43 @ Taunton, 16 – Final

Franklin, 18 @ North Attleboro, 45 – FinalFranklin’s Alex Batla and Fiona Morrison took the top two spots and rounded out its scoring with five of the top six runners to clinch the Kelley-Rex division title. Batla won in 20:45 with Morrison crossing at 20:46. Vivienne Loukota, Katie Sweeney, and Carli Walbert took fourth, fifth, and sixth overall, respectively, to give the Panthers the win.




Golf
King Philip, 145 @ Stoughton, 177 – FinalKing Philip junior Ethan Sullivan fired a medalist round to lead the Warriors to a win on the road over Stoughton at Easton Country Club. Sullivan carded a 35, Gavin Croke and Cam Hasenfus each shot 36 on the day, and freshmen Jason Silva and Evan Regan each carded a 38. For Stoughton, James Spector shot a 40 and Joe Rush finished with a 43.

Oliver Ames, 162 @ Mansfield, 158 – FinalMansfield earned its biggest win of the season, handing Oliver Ames its first loss of the season and clinching a share of the Davenport division alongside the Tigers. Nate McClean had a great performance at Norton Country Club, firing a 37 to earn medalist honors in the win. Cody Nieratko and Brendan Vokey each finished at 40 for the day and Davon Sanders, who had an eagle on the ninth hole to help clinch the win, finished at 41. Sean Kearns, David Rodgers, and Daniel Paul all shot a 40 for Oliver Ames while Ryan Smith chipped in with a 42.

Taunton, 175 @ Franklin, 150 – FinalFranklin won its final division match of the season to finish tied in first, clinching a share of the Kelley-Rex division crown along with King Philip. Jack Hagerty had a pair of birdies and finished with a medalist round of 36 to lead the Panthers. Matt Cacciapaglia (two birdies), Brendan Collins (one birdie), and CJ Steel (one birdie) each came in with a 38 for Franklin. Logan Letourneau led the way for Taunton with a 41.

Sharon, 164 @ Milford, 150 – FinalMilford returned home after a five-match road trip and secured a win at Hopedale Country Club, taking down visiting Sharon. Junior Anthony LaPierre fired a two-under par round of 33 to lead the way for the Hawks, earning match medalist honors. Jacob Hipolito added a 38 and Nate Lawrence finished with a 39 in the win. Sharon’s Dylan Cummings shot a team-low round of 39.

The Tigers had a well-rounded attack led by Aislinn Campbell (seven kills, two aces, one block), Hayley Krockta (six kills, three blocks), and Mikayla Cleary (five kills, one block, one ace). Anna Abouzeid dished out 14 assists to along with four aces and Emily Machado played well defensively with 12 digs and added a pair of aces. Taunton advances to face No. 3 seed North Andover on Saturday at 4:30.

Mathias Taylor, Michael Haikal, Hector Bucio and Diego Rivera had great games for the Tigers while Sasha Priajinski earned his eighth shutout of the season in net.

Foxboro, 4 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final Foxboro scored twice in each half to pick up two points on the road over Stoughton. The Warriors scored in quick succession in the first half as AJ Carvalho opened the scoring in the 26th minute and then an own goal (credited to John Hollis) doubled the advantage just two minutes later. In the second half, Cam Barreira set up Alex Penders in the 60th minute for the 3-0 lead and then Barreira capped the scoring with a goal of his own off a feed from Jacob Tessier. Derek Axon notched the shutout in net for Foxboro.

Taunton, 1 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalKing Philip and Taunton traded goals, one coming in each half, and the Warriors and Tigers split the two points. Andrew Seropian gave the hosts the lead in the 12th minute, finishing off a pass from Stephen Griffin to make it 1-0. Taunton’s Riley Rebello equalized in the 49th minute, finishing a free kick to the back post to bring the Tigers level.

Milford, 2 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalMilford used a pair of first half goals to earn two points on the road, splitting the season series with Mansfield. Artur Tome opened the scoring with an assist to Bill Silva. Just minutes later, Eduardo Santana doubled the lead with the assist going to Tome.

Sharon, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalThe Rocketeers registered a pair of goals before the half hour mark and then put the game away with a third with just 10 minutes to go for a win over Sharon. Quinn Conley earned a penalty for the Rocketeers early in the match and Connor Ward buried the chance from the spot, putting the hosts ahead in the 10th minute. Junior Griffin Rodden doubled the lead in the 28th minute, taking a pass from Givany Carney and finishing. Jaad Ismail’s goal in the 70th minute secured the points for North as the senior finished a corner kick from Ward for a 3-0 lead.




Girls Soccer
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Canton, 0 – FinalJunior Mary Cross scored the lone goal of the game as Oliver Ames claimed a key two points on the road over Davenport for Canton. Cross finished off a pass from Allison Evin in the first half for the lone goal of the game. Emily Meyers earned the shutout in goal for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 0 @ Foxboro, 7 – FinalFoxboro scored four times in the second half to break the game open and keep itself in a first-place tie with OA. Kailee McCabe and Jordan Carman each recorded four points for the Warriors. McCabe scored three times and added an assist, while Carman found the back of the net once and had a hat trick of assists. Lauren Miley scored a brace and DeAnna Hardiman got one. Shayla Ford had a solid game in defense for the Black Knights and Sivannah Marcy was a good outlet up front.

King Philip, 5 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalA day after she tallied a hat trick and five points, Ella Pisani added two more goals and another assist to lift KP to another road win. The Warriors pulled even on points with Franklin for the league lead, having played one more game. Pisani, Brooke Mullins, and Dani Lomuscio all scored in the first half to put KP comfortably ahead. Morgan Norrman, Eilish McGowen, and Pisani each had assist in the opening half. After the break, Pisani completed her brace and Kylie Menendez added the fifth. Paulina Baczkowski and McGowen assisted on the second half goals.

Mansfield, 2 @ Milford, 0 – FinalTarynn Smith’s brace lifted the Hornets to a road win at Milford, getting Mansfield back on track and keeping it alive in the league title race. Olivia Salisbury made one stop to earn the clean sheet.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalEmma Pratt and Abbie Pratt each scored in the first half to put the Rocketeers in front. Autumn Simon scored early in the second half off a Sofia Goclowski assist to cut the North lead in half, but Emma Pratt added her second of the game to seal the two points. Haley Sinacola assisted on each of Emma Pratt’s goals and Caroline Ferrin had the assist on Abbie Pratt’s. North came close several times in the second half, with Steph McKenna, Autumn Hewitt, and Casey Butanowicz narrowly missing. Brayden Rice played well for the Rocketeers in midfield, while Meaghan Dowd, Summer Doherty, and Charlotte Moynihan had good games at the back. Leah Steinberg and Carmen Leonardi played well defensively for the Eagles.

Canton, 3 @ Fontbonne Academy, 1 – FinalCanton overcame an error-prone opening set to settle in, using a complete team effort to rally for a 3-1 win (23-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-15) on the road at Fontbonne. Talya DeGraw had an all-around good match for the Bulldogs with six kills and 27 digs, Katie Dever played well in the middle with four kills and two blocks, and Kelly MacDonald played strong in the backcourt and served well.

King Philip, 3 @ Walpole, 0 – FinalKP swept Walpole for the second time this season, winning 25-12, 25-15, 25-10 to stay unbeaten. Sami Shore led the way with 11 kills and four aces, while Ahunna James had eight kills and seven digs, and Emily Sawyer finished with seven kills and three blocks. Sofia Reidel had a strong service game with seven aces and Stella Bailey chipped in with four aces and five digs. Samantha Asprelli had another strong defensive match with eight digs.

Taunton, 3 vs. Durfee, 1 – FinalTaunton jumped out to a two-set advantage and took care of business in the fourth to win the match 3-1 (25-15, 25-15, 23-25, 25-14) after dropping a close third set. Angie Lynch had a great all-around game for the Tigers with eight kills, seven digs, four aces, and a block to lead the way. Mikayla Cleary added five kills, four aces, and four blocks while Anna Abouzeid dished out 18 assists and added three kills and a pair of aces. Dani Lofgren (14 digs and excellent serve receive) and Jess Foley (eight digs, three aces) both played well defensively for Taunton.

Milford, 3 @ King Philip, 1 – Final Milford built a two-goal lead by halftime and tacked on an important insurance goal in the second half to pick up two points on the road over King Philip. Eduardo Santana scored twice and assisted on the middle goal for the Hawks, who pushed their unbeaten streak to seven games. Santana opened the scoring on a pass from Dylan Borr and then set up Artur Tome to give the visitors a 2-0 advantage. Tommy Tommy Lomuscio cut the deficit in half but Santana secured the two points with his second goal, this one assisted by John Borges. Milford head coach Antonio Pinto praised his back line for a strong defensive effort.










Girls Soccer
King Philip, 8 @ Milford, 0 – FinalElla Pisani scored three times, all in the opening 17 minutes of the first half, and had five total points as KP rolled to a road win against a shorthanded Milford. Sarah Harper, Paulina Baczkowski, Heidi Lawrence, Eilish McGowen, and Alyssa Legere each scored once for the Warriors and Sara Cullen and Lauren Casper combined for four saves to record the clean sheet. Mikayla Thompson, Kylie Anderson, Addisyn Lamothe-Vaughn, and McGowen all added assists.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 1 @ Franklin, 8 – FinalFranklin exploded for four goals in the first quarter, including a hat trick from Shaw Downing, and never looked back in a win over Attleboro. Downing opened the scoring just over two minutes into the game and then scored twice more before the first quarter expired, assisted by Emily Carney on the second and Kaitlyn Carney on the third. Downing assisted on the other goal in the period, setting up Kaitlyn Carney. Haley Wernig also had a hat trick for the Panthers, scoring once in the second, third, and fourth quarters while also setting Kaitlyn Carney up for a goal.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Canton, 3 – FinalSarah Cunningham scored a pair of goals as Canton secured a key two points against Oliver Ames.

The Warriors had three different players score in the opening half with Sydney O’Shea opening the scoring off an assist from Mara Boldy, who had the third goal of the half off of a pass from freshman Makenzie McDevitt. Junior Lauren Barreiro had the middle goal of the first half on an assist from O’Shea. Senior back Lily Brown scored the final two goals for KP, the latter assisted by freshman Abby MacDonald.

King Philip, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final King Philip kept its undefeated season going with a 3-0 sweep (25-16, 25-9, 25-10) over Taunton. Emily Sawyer led a balanced offensive attack for the Warriors with 14 kills while Sami Shore added nine kills in the win. Both Liv Carey and Ahunna James (three aces) added five kills in the win while Samantha Asprelli notched eight digs. For Taunton, Mikayla Cleary played well with eight kills, two blocks and an ace, Angie Lynch added four kills, two blocks, and an ace, and Anna Abouzeid had a strong game with 12 assists, two aces, and two kills.

Stoughton, 186 @ Canton, 140 – FinalCanton capped an undefeated season with a big win at home at Blue Hill Country Club, knocking off the visiting Knights of Stoughton, claiming their sixth straight Davenport division title. The Bulldogs had all four of their scorers share medalist honors as Mekhala Costello, Will Gefteas, Conor Hunter, and Mike Leonetti all came in with a 35 to lead the way. Anthony Hern followed a strong showing at Hocks with a 39 for Stoughton while Pat Smith added a 44.

Milford, 170 @ King Philip, 151 – FinalKing Philip clinched the Kelley-Rex division title outright with a win over Milford at Wentworth Country Club. Pat Reardon carded a medalist round of 36 to lead the way for the Warriors. Mike Matheson added a 37 while both Tim Hartwell and Jared Curran shot a 39 for KP. Anthony LaPierre had a great round for the Hawks with a team-low round of 37 while Nate Lawrence shot a 39.

Attleboro @ Dighton-Rehoboth, 3:00

Oliver Ames, 169 @ Foxboro, 168 – FinalFoxboro finished the regular season with one of its best wins of the season, taking down visiting Oliver Ames. Matt Fossella led the way for the Warriors with a team-low round of 41, Jack Rounds and Jack Watts each added a 42, and Dylan Pothier came in with a 43. OA sophomore Sean Kearns was the medalist with a round of 40, Jo Jo Gaultier and Jake Kaplan each shot a 42, and Daniel Paul finished with at 45.

Boys Soccer
Franklin, 1 @ Attleboro, 2 – FinalEsvin Morales set up the tying goal and scored the game-winner just minutes later as the Bombardiers rallied to take a win over Franklin. With the win, Attleboro moves into a first place tie in the Kelley-Rex division with Mansfield. Franklin opened the scoring just before the half hour mark. Tyler Powderly used his speed to get down the right wing and play in a cross. The initial ball was cleared but only as far as junior Max Tobin, who one-timed it into the top corner to put the visitors ahead. Attleboro’s best chance of the first half came in the 17th minute when senior Yianni Skordas forced a turnover and pushed forward, centering to Morales. Morales cut back to evade a defender and the keeper but his shot on goal was denied by Franklin senior midfielder Terry O’Neill. In the second half, Cashel Stuger played the ball to Morales, who turned and played a ball over the top of the defense and sophomore Alex Vecchioli finished the half volley from a step inside the area to bring the hosts level. Four minutes later, after Franklin was whistled for a handball, Morales stepped over the ball and placed a shot on frame while the Panthers were setting up the wall and it just beat the diving keeper for the game-winner.

Milford, 2 vs. Hopedale, 0 – FinalMilford scored a pair of second half goals to earn a win over local rival Hopedale. John Borges had two assists for the Scarlet Hawks, setting up both goals. First, Borges found Eduardo Santana to put the hosts in front and then Borges assisted on a goal from Chris Tocci.

Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 1 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalSenior Riley Fitzpatrick scored a pair of goals to lead the Panthers to a win at home over the visiting Bombardiers. Fitzpatrick had a beautiful header off a free kick from Norah Anderson and scored her other goal off a pass from Anya Zub. Zub had two assists in the win, setting up senior Stella Regan for the other Franklin goal.

Foxboro, 1 vs. Bishop Feehan, 1 – Final

Sharon, 4 @ Milford, 5 – FinalDani Atherton had a hat trick and an assist to lead Milford to a wild win over Sharon. It was Milford’s second win in the past three days. Paige Caldon added her second goal in as many games and Cailyn Paccico had one for the Hawks. The Eagles got two goals apiece from Wendy Wooden and Carly Pinnix. Olivia Soby had two assists and Sofia Goclowski had one for Sharon and Amber Marcus-Blank played well defensively.




Field Hockey
Attleboro, 5 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalMadison Ellis scored a hat trick to pace the Bombardiers to a big win on the road over Mansfield. Attleboro recevied a great defensive effort from Trinity Harrison and the Bombardiers transitioned from defense to offense smoothly due to the strong play of Jordan Croteau. Olivia Hillman had a strong game on the right side for the visitors and scored once.

Foxboro, 0 @ Canton, 1 – FinalCanton’s Ellie Bohane scored late in the fourth quarter to give the Bulldogs a win over Foxboro, stretching their unbeaten streak to eight. Bohane converted a pass from Sierra Abbott for the lone goal of the game while Carolyn Durand made key saves down the stretch to preserve the shutout.

Julia Kelly had a big game with 11 kills, five aces, and a pair of digs, Nicole Santos added seven aces and four kills, Lexie Scibilia chipped in with three kills, three blocks, and a pair of aces, and Christina Lydon and Izzy Flint combined for 21 assists. For Attleboro, Julia Leonardo recorded eight kills while Brianna Frissora had a great game at the net.

Foxboro, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final Canton bounced back from a tough five-set loss to Westwood with a clean 3-0 sweep (25-8, 25-17, 25-22) over visiting Foxboro. Jess Wright continued to lead the offense for the Bulldogs with 12 kills and added eight digs. Taylor Reynold dished out 22 assists to go with six aces, Syd Gallery added five kills and two aces, and Anna Verille continued to shine defensively with 15 digs and two kills.

Sami Shore, Ahunna James, and Emily Sawyer all played well at the net for KP in the comeback win while Samantha Asprelli and Gianna DeLorenzo anchored the back row in the win. Sofia Riedel had a big day at the service line for KP with 11 service points and three aces. For Franklin, Brigid Earley (two blocks) and Taylor Lacerda (22 digs) each had 14 kills while Lindsey Tarantola added nine kills and eight blocks.

Milford, 3 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalIn an incredibly close match, Milford prevailed with a 3-2 win (27-25, 25-22, 18-25, 22-25, 15-11). For Taunton, Hayley Krockta and Mikayla Cleary each had 11 kills while Anna Abouzeid dished out 28 assists.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalIn a match tighter than the final score shows, North Attleboro secured an important 3-0 win (25-22, 26-24, 25-20) win over Oliver Ames. For the Tigers, junior Maddie Homer recorded 25 digs, senior Hadley Rhodes dished out 26 assists to go along with five kills, sophomore Sarah Hilliard added 14 kills and 10 digs, and sophomore Claire O’Rourke chipped in with eight kills and three aces.

Foxboro, 157 @ Oliver Ames, 152 – FinalOliver Ames earned its 10th win of the season by taking down Foxboro in a close match at Pine Oaks. Senior captain Jake Kaplan shot a medalist round of 35 to lead the way for the Tigers. Junior Michael McGinnis and sophomore Aden Ashley each shot a 39 to count for the scoring for the first time in their careers. Sophomore Lucas Riley and junior Daniel Paul both added a 40 in the win.

Sharon, 171 @ Canton, 147 – FinalSophomore Mekhala Costello capped a tremendous week with another medalist round, this time a one-over par round of 35 to lead the Bulldogs to a big win at home over Sharon. The win clinches at least a share of the Davenport division title for Canton. Mike Loenetti added a 36 in the win, Conor Hunter chipped in with a 37, and Will Gefteas finished with a 39 for Canton. Eric Carter led the way for Sharon with a round of 41, Owen Kevorkian added a 42, and Nathan Daley, Noah Glassman, and James Spoto all shot a 44 for the Eagles.

Stoughton, 0 @ Franklin, 10 – Final – Highlighted by a five-goal outburst in the second quarter, Franklin continued to roll with another big win. Sydney Rogan scored the lone goal of the first quarter in the 10th minute before Kaitlyn Carney scored two in a row in the second to make it 3-0. Payten Crandall sandwiched a pair of goals around one from Raena Crandall while Emily Carney, Kendall Jones, and Ella Mahoney all had first half assists. Ella Aldred scored twice in the second half while Kaitlyn Carney and Emily Carney each scored once. Shaw Downing and Jill Finerty recorded second half assists. Megan Sullivan and Chloe Strassner combined for the shutout in net.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip carried a 3-0 lead into the final minutes of the game and held off a comeback bid from the visiting Tigers. Senior Margo Riley and freshman Makenzie McDevitt scored in the first half to help the Warriors build a 2-0 advantage by the halftime break. Riley tacked on another goal to push the KP lead to 3-0; McDevitt, Sydney O’Shea, and Christina Gifun all had an assist in the win. KP received strong defensive play from seniors Morgan Cunningham and Haley Izydorczak. OA’s Lauren Mularzcyk scored her first career goal to jumpstart the Tigers, who got a goal from Erin Cottam with five seconds to play. Both Ava Costello (assist) and Julia Maclaine had strong performances for OA.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery of this game – North Attleboro’s Julia Puccio scored a pair of second half goals to help the Rocketeers record a close win on the road at Taunton. After a scoreless first half, Puccio and Taunton’s Kaysie DeMoura traded goals in the third quarter. Caroline Folan help set up the game-winner, which saw Puccio fire a nice backhand shot while in traffic in front for the game-winner. Sophomore Gracie Leary made a pair of key kick saves in the final moments to help preserve the win. Em Gannon recorded nine saves for the Tigers.

Sharon, 0 @ Attleboro, 3 – FinalNatalie Brojek dished out 23 assists and Attleboro picked up a 3-0 (25-11, 25-25, 29-27) win at home for its seventh victory of the season, the most in over a decade. Brojek added four aces in the win, freshman Julia Leonardo was a force at the net with 16 kills, and Lilly Boedeker anchored the defense with nine digs.

Foxboro, 0 @ Milford, 3 – Final

Canton, 1 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalAfter splitting the first two games, Mansfield went on to win the final two sets to secure a 3-1 win (25-23, 22-25, 25-11, 25-20) over the visiting Bulldogs. Julia Kelly paced the offense with 15 kills, Nicole Santos added 10 kills and had a strong showing from the service line with six aces, and Lexie Scibilia added six kills in the win. Christina Lydon (20 assists) and Izzy Flint (17 assists) ran the offense for the Hornets. Anne Verille had another stellar showing for Canton with outstanding defense and aggressive serving while Fatima Sidibay and Amaiah Christian played well in the middle, combining for nine kills and four blocks.

Stoughton, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalIt was a day to remember for Franklin senior Cailyn Mackintosh, who recorded the 1,000th assist of her career and had a strong all-around game to lead the Panthers to a dominant sweep, 3-0 (25-7, 25-6, 25-7). Mackintosh finished with 24 assists along with seven digs, five kills, and four assists for the undefeated Panthers.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip prevailed in a tight second set that went down to the wire and went on to complete the sweep, 3-0 (25-17, 26-24, 25-11) of Oliver Ames. Stella Bailey had a big day at the service line with 14 service points, including five aces, while Samantha Asprelli added four more aces to go along with five digs. Sami Shore chipped in with four aces as well to go with eight kills and three digs while Ahunna James recorded a pair of aces and seven kills for the undefeated Warriors. For OA, sophomore Sarah Hilliard had a strong showing with 14 kills to pace the Tiger offense. Senior Hadley Rhodes added 20 assists and junior Maddie Homer finished with 15 digs and 18 serve receptions.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery of this game – Taunton saw its 1-0 lead disappear as North rallied to grab all the momentum with back-to-back close wins in the second and third sets, but the Tigers bounced back to win two straight sets and the match, 3-2 (25-21, 24-26, 24-26, 25-22, 15-12). Taunton had a balanced attack on offense led by Hayley Krockta (12 kills, six digs, four aces), Mikayla Cleary (11 kills, five blocks, two aces), and Angie Lynch (nine kills) while Aislinn Campbell had a big game at the net with seven blocks and six kills. Anna Abouzeid put the offense in motion with 25 assists as well as two kills and two aces while Jess Foley, Dani Lofgren, and Mia Fernandes all played well defensively with eight digs apiece.




Boys Cross-Country
Attleboro, 31 @ Mansfield, 26 – Final Mansfield took five of the top eight spots to earn a close win at home over Attleboro. Senior Collin Stevens paced the Hornet pack with a team-best time of 17:42 for second overall. Senior Chris Leonard (18:17) took fourth, sophomore Talon Johnson added key points with a fifth place finish (18:24), senior Riley Tremblay took seventh (18:55), and junior Clark Mackin rounded out the Mansfield scoring at 18:59 for eighth overall.

North Attleboro @ Canton – Postponed to Thursday, 10/7 at 3:45.

Stoughton, 34 @ Foxboro, 21 – FinalSenior Nick Olson crossed first and Foxboro took five of the top seven spots in a win at Payson Road against Stoughton. Olson won the race in 17:27, junior Brooks Stone took third overall (19:32), and junior Stephen Haney (19:37) was fourth. Senior Jared Ciora and junior Cooper Hassman rounded out the scoring for the hosts by taking sixth and seventh, respectively.

Taunton, 22 @ Milford, 38 – FinalTaunton continued its strong start to the season, improving to 4-0 with a win on the road over Milford. The Tigers took five of the top seven spots, including three of the first four, to get the win. Brayden Cali was the top runner for Taunton, taking second overall in 17:08. Sam Dennis clocked in at 17:12 for third while Andrew Cali took fourth overall (17:18). Ryan Strawbridge (17:25) and Cam Dorr (18:26) rounded out the scoring for the Tigers.

Girls Cross-Country
Attleboro, 48 @ Mansfield, 15 – FinalThe first five runners to cross the finish line were all members of the Mansfield Hornets, who knocked off Attleboro on a 5K course at the Plymouth Street Soccer Complex. Sophomore Anna Moore led the charge for the hosts, who had eight of the top 10 overall runners in the race. Moore clocked in at 21:48 for the win, senior Meghan Johnston took second (22:09), senior Alanna Conley crossed third (23:43),senior Sophia Allen was fourth (23:55), and junior Devin Anderson rounded out the scoring with a fifth place finish (25:02). Freshman Emily Quaglia was the top runner for Attleboro, crossing the finish line in a time of 25:59 for seventh overall.

Stoughton, 31 @ Foxboro, 24 – FinalFoxboro swept the top three spots all within a 30-second time span and that was enough to lead the Warriors to a win over the visiting Black Knights. Junior Casey Dahl won the race in 22:03 while classmates Aine Fitzpatrick (22:09) and Mabel Linck (22:30) rounded out the top three. Juniors Kyla Palmer and Sarah Howard took eighth and 10th, respectively, for the Warriors.

Taunton, 22 @ Milford, 38 – FinalTaunton freshman Emersyn Deponte set a new program record with her third dual meet win of the season and all five of the scorers for the Tigers clocked in a new personal records in a win over Milford. Deponte won the race in 20:27 with classmate Colby Dunham taking third overall just three seconds later. Kiley Quinlan (22:06) was fourth, Phylicia Dias (22:30) took fifth, and Jakhai Nicholson (24:36) earned ninth for the Tigers.

Franklin, 169 @ Mansfield, 164 – FinalMansfield kept its division title hopes alive with a close win over Franklin, splitting the season series with the Panthers. Senior Cian Goulet fired a team-low round of 38 to help the Hornets get the win at Norton Country Club. Seniors Ryan Doherty (41), Hunter Tang (42), and Jordan Tavares (43) rounded out the scoring for the hosts.

Milford, 174 @ Taunton, 190 – FinalJacob Hipolito and Anthony LaPierre each shot 42 to lead the Hawks to a win on the road over Taunton. Nate Lawrence added a round of 45 in the win and Tommy Donato added a 46 for Milford. Loran Corcoran and Nathan Fernandes both shot 46 to pace the Tigers.

Sharon, 163 @ King Philip, 154 – FinalKing Philip avoided an upset bid from Sharon to grab its 10th win of the season, staying undefeated on the year. Mike Matheson birded the fifth hole on his way to a match medalist round of 36 to lead the way for KP. Jared Curran birdied both the first and fifth holes to finish at 38 while both Pat Reardon and Ethan Sullivan shot a 40. Sharon’s Nathan Daley also birded the fifth hole and had a team-low round of 38. Eric Carter added a 40 for the Eagles and Owen Kevorkian shot a 42.

Canton, 156 @ Foxboro, 160 – FinalFoxboro nearly pulled off the upset of the season on the Front 9 at Foxborough Country Club but Canton came away with a close win to keep its lead in the Davenport division. Canton’s Will Gefteas and Mekhala Costello each shot a 38 on the day, sharing match medalist honors with Foxboro’s Dylan Pothier. Charlie Cohen and Nate MacDonald each added a 40 in the win. Jack Rounds shot a 39 for the Warriors and Louie Carangelo added a round of 40.

North Attleboro, 170 @ Oliver Ames, 155 – FinalSenior Jo Jo Gaultier fired an even par round of 35 as Oliver Ames picked up its eighth win of the season by beating North Attleboro at Thorny Lea Golf Club in Brockton. Jake Kaplan, David Rodgers, and Sean Kearns all shot 40 to round out the scoring for the hosts.
