Baseball
Franklin, 4 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – Franklin quickly erased an early deficit and used four pitchers to hold the host Hornets at bay in a 4-1 decision. Mansfield took an early 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly from Wyatt Bolduc (to score Matt DeShiro) in the bottom of the first inning but the Panthers plated three runs in the top of the second and never trailed again. Luke Sidwell drove in Ben Yuknis and Rex Cinelli on a fielder’s choice and Jase Lyons followed with an RBI single two at-bats later to hand Franklin a 3-1 lead. Yuknis (walk) came in to score on a ground out from Ethan DePaolo in the top of the sixth to add to the lead. Dillon Cashin got the win in relief for Franklin, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings with three hits allowed and one strikeout while Jake Shaughnessy was strong in the start, allowing one run on one hit and two walks, striking out one in three innings. Lyons and Austin Campbell (two strikeouts) combined for 1.2 scoreless innings after Cashin.

Softball
Taunton, 9 @ Bishop Feehan, 0 – FinalSam Lincoln shined in the circle and Taunton’s offense produced runs in every inning except the first in a convincing win over Bishop Feehan. Lincoln only allowed one hit and didn’t issue a single walk, striking out 15 in a complete game shutout. Offensively, the Tigers scored a single run in the second, fourth, fifth, and seventh, pushing across three runs in the third and a pair in the sixth. Ava Venturelli (home run), Kaysie DeMoura (RBI, two runs), Mia Fernandes (RBI, run), and Mia Torres (RBI, run) each had two hits to pace the Taunton offense.

Milford, 0 vs. St. Paul Diocesan, 14 – Final (5 inn.)

Mansfield, 5 @ Marblehead, 0 – FinalMansfield made it two wins in a row with a 5-0 shutout on the road at Marblehead. The Hornets scored once in the second (Allie Koppy RBI to score Jill Koppy) and once more in the third (Molly Kucharski single to score Reilly Slaney) and then extended its lead with three runs in the sixth inning: Kucharsky singled, Molly Crowley walked, and Allie Koppy and Dani Jameson both singled to make it 5-0. Jameson earned the win in the circle, scattering four hits and striking out seven in a complete game effort.

Girls Tennis
Milford, 1 @ Hopedale, 4 – FinalMilford’s second doubles pairing of Audrey Brannigan and Paige Caldon prevailed in three sets for the Hawks. Brannigan and Caldon split the first two sets but won a super tiebreaker to get the victory (6-3, 4-6, 10-3).
