The Hornets scored once in the first (Sam Martin RBI single to score Conner Zukowski, who had a leadoff double) and twice more in the second (a two-out, two-run double from Aiden Jones) for a 3-0 lead. That was enough support for Curtis but Mansfield tacked on two more in the fifth inning on an RBI single from Jake Maydak and an error. Will Lund had a strong day at the dish, going 2-for-3 with a run scored for Mansfield.
