King Philip, 3 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalKing Philip fended off a challenge from Attleboro in the opening set and went on two win two more to get a 3-0 win (25-23, 25-17, 25-8) on the road, clinching at least a share of the Kelley-Rex division title before its showdown with Franklin on Thursday. Samantha Asprelli served 11 straight points in the final set to clinch the win while Sami Shore (10 kills), Ahunna James (nine kills), and Emily Sawyer (seven kills) paced the Warrior offense. Julia Leonardo led the way for Attleboro with 10 kills.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalAfter splitting the first two sets, Oliver Ames won two straight tight sets to close out the win on the road over Foxboro, 3-1 (25-5, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22). Senior Hadley Rhodes dished out 27 assists while Maddie Homer recorded 27 digs for the Tigers. Sophomores Sarah Hilliard (18 kills) and Claire O’Rourke (10 kills, seven aces) paced the offense while junior Megan MacDonald had a strong defensive performance.

Sharon, 0 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCanton honored its seniors and that group led the Bulldogs to a win over visiting Sharon, 3-0 (25-11, 25-13,25-16). All nine seniors contributed to the win led by Syd Gallery with seven kills and a block while Katie Dever, Amaiah Christian and Talya DeGraw each added four kills. Kelly MacDonald, Ella Lewis, Anna Verille and Jess Vo played well on defense. Taylor Reynolds distributed the well, adding 25 assists.

Milford, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalFranklin took care of business against visiting Milford, setting up a league title showdown with King Philip on Thursday. The Panthers won three straight (25-17, 25-20, 25-12) to sweep the Hawks. Taylor Lacerda had a strong showing with eight kills, five digs, and four aces. Franklin will host KP on Thursday and have a chance to earn a share of the division title with a win.

Taunton, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final Mansfield strengthened its playoff rating with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-20, 25-9) win over visiting Taunton on Senior Night. Calysta Robyn recorded five aces and a kill while Christina Lydon dished out 11 assists for the hosts. Julia Kelly (10 kills) and Nicole Santos (four kills, three aces, two blocks) also played well in the win.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalHolding just a one goal lead at halftime, Canton found the back of the net three time after the break to pull away from Stoughton for a win on the road. Senior Lily Carlino put the Bulldogs on the board, a 1-0 advantage that Canton took into half. Senior Payton McDonough, junior Ellie Bohane, and sophomore Payton England each scored in the second to give Canton a 4-0 win.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final

Franklin, 7 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalFranklin’s Kaitlyn Carney scored a first quarter hat trick and the Panthers never looked back in a win over Taunton. Haley Wernig opened the scoring less than a minute in and Carney followed with three straight before the first 15 minutes expired. That score held over the next two quarters before Ella Mahoney scored in the fourth and Shaw Downing (who also had three assists) scored back-to-back goals to get to 7-0. Payten Crandall had an assist for the Panthers.

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalThree different Warriors scored and King Philip picked up its 11th win of the year with a 3-0 decision at home over Mansfield. Senior captain Molly Piller scored her first career goal off an assist from Kelly Homes while sophomore Mara Boldy (from Holmes) and freshman Makenzie McDevitt (from Sydney O’Shea) also scored for KP.

Sharon, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – FinalGeorgia Costello scored a hat trick and Ava Costello had three assists as Oliver Ames picked up a win at home over Sharon. Julia Maclaine opened the scoring in the first quarter (from Ava Costell) and Georgia Costello followed with back-to-back goals, one in the second and one in the third. Erin Cottam (from Georgia Costello) stretched the lead to 4-0 before Georgia Costello completed the hat trick in the fourth. Sharon goalie Natalie Kessler had a very strong performance in net. Also playing well for OA were Lily Gaskill, Lauren Mularczyk, and Emilee Welch.

Canton, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalIt was a total team effort from the Bulldogs in a win over neighboring Stoughton, earning a 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-14) sweep of the Black Knights. Jess Wright led Canton with 13 kills and three aces while Amaiah Christian, Fatima Sidibay and Katie Dever were all strong in the middle, combining for 11 kills and a pair of blocks. Sally Hoban was perfect in her serving debut with three aces. Kelly MacDonald, Ella Lewis, Zoe Scibelli and Jess Vo were strong in the backcourt for the Bulldogs.

Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalFranklin made it three straight wins by taking down Taunton, winning all three in straight sets, this time a 25-16, 25-13, 25-23 victory over the Tigers. Sophomore Taylor Lacerda had a strong all-around game with nine kills, nine digs, and three aces for the Panthers. For Taunton, Mikayla Cleary had a strong game with nine kills and a pair of blocks while Dani Lofgren (nine digs), Emily Machado (six digs), and Jess Foley (six digs) anchored the defense.

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip won its 16th straight match to start the season and kept its spot atop the Kelley-Rex division with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-17, 25-22) of Mansfield. Ahunna James (eight kills), Sami Shore (eight kills, four aces), and Emily Sawyer (six kills) paced the offensive attack for the Warriors. Sofia Riedel (five digs, three aces) and Samantha Asprelli (five digs) anchored the KP defense. For Mansfield, Julia Kelly had five kills and three aces, Nicole Santos added four aces, three kills, and three blocks, and Elyssa Buchanan chipped in with four kills and three digs to lead the offense. Christina Lydon and Izzy Flint each dished out nine assists, Lexie Scibilia finished with three blocks a pair of aces, and a block, and Jackie Zelic notched four digs.

Sharon, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalA day after rallying for a comeback win over Bridgewater-Raynham, Oliver Ames took care of business in straight sets with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-14) over visiting Sharon. Junior Brianna Monteiro had a strong all-around game in the Tigers’ win. Maddie Homer notched 20 digs, Hadley Rhodes finished with 17 kills and five aces, and Shannon Willard chipped in with 10 assists and a pair of aces.

Canton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalOliver Ames hit the post and hit the crossbar but couldn’t find the back of the net and the Tigers and Bulldogs of Canton took a point each. Mathias Taylor, Michael Haikal, Hector Bucio and Diego Rivera had great games for the Tigers while Sasha Priajinski earned his eighth shutout of the season in net.

Foxboro, 4 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final Foxboro scored twice in each half to pick up two points on the road over Stoughton. The Warriors scored in quick succession in the first half as AJ Carvalho opened the scoring in the 26th minute and then an own goal (credited to John Hollis) doubled the advantage just two minutes later. In the second half, Cam Barreira set up Alex Penders in the 60th minute for the 3-0 lead and then Barreira capped the scoring with a goal of his own off a feed from Jacob Tessier. Derek Axon notched the shutout in net for Foxboro.

Taunton, 1 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalKing Philip and Taunton traded goals, one coming in each half, and the Warriors and Tigers split the two points. Andrew Seropian gave the hosts the lead in the 12th minute, finishing off a pass from Stephen Griffin to make it 1-0. Taunton’s Riley Rebello equalized in the 49th minute, finishing a free kick to the back post to bring the Tigers level.

Milford, 2 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalMilford used a pair of first half goals to earn two points on the road, splitting the season series with Mansfield. Artur Tome opened the scoring with an assist to Bill Silva. Just minutes later, Eduardo Santana doubled the lead with the assist going to Tome.

Sharon, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalThe Rocketeers registered a pair of goals before the half hour mark and then put the game away with a third with just 10 minutes to go for a win over Sharon. Quinn Conley earned a penalty for the Rocketeers early in the match and Connor Ward buried the chance from the spot, putting the hosts ahead in the 10th minute. Junior Griffin Rodden doubled the lead in the 28th minute, taking a pass from Givany Carney and finishing. Jaad Ismail’s goal in the 70th minute secured the points for North as the senior finished a corner kick from Ward for a 3-0 lead.




Girls Soccer
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Canton, 0 – FinalJunior Mary Cross scored the lone goal of the game as Oliver Ames claimed a key two points on the road over Davenport for Canton. Cross finished off a pass from Allison Evin in the first half for the lone goal of the game. Emily Meyers earned the shutout in goal for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 0 @ Foxboro, 7 – FinalFoxboro scored four times in the second half to break the game open and keep itself in a first-place tie with OA. Kailee McCabe and Jordan Carman each recorded four points for the Warriors. McCabe scored three times and added an assist, while Carman found the back of the net once and had a hat trick of assists. Lauren Miley scored a brace and DeAnna Hardiman got one. Shayla Ford had a solid game in defense for the Black Knights and Sivannah Marcy was a good outlet up front.

King Philip, 5 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalA day after she tallied a hat trick and five points, Ella Pisani added two more goals and another assist to lift KP to another road win. The Warriors pulled even on points with Franklin for the league lead, having played one more game. Pisani, Brooke Mullins, and Dani Lomuscio all scored in the first half to put KP comfortably ahead. Morgan Norrman, Eilish McGowen, and Pisani each had assist in the opening half. After the break, Pisani completed her brace and Kylie Menendez added the fifth. Paulina Baczkowski and McGowen assisted on the second half goals.

Mansfield, 2 @ Milford, 0 – FinalTarynn Smith’s brace lifted the Hornets to a road win at Milford, getting Mansfield back on track and keeping it alive in the league title race. Olivia Salisbury made one stop to earn the clean sheet.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalEmma Pratt and Abbie Pratt each scored in the first half to put the Rocketeers in front. Autumn Simon scored early in the second half off a Sofia Goclowski assist to cut the North lead in half, but Emma Pratt added her second of the game to seal the two points. Haley Sinacola assisted on each of Emma Pratt’s goals and Caroline Ferrin had the assist on Abbie Pratt’s. North came close several times in the second half, with Steph McKenna, Autumn Hewitt, and Casey Butanowicz narrowly missing. Brayden Rice played well for the Rocketeers in midfield, while Meaghan Dowd, Summer Doherty, and Charlotte Moynihan had good games at the back. Leah Steinberg and Carmen Leonardi played well defensively for the Eagles.

Canton, 3 @ Fontbonne Academy, 1 – FinalCanton overcame an error-prone opening set to settle in, using a complete team effort to rally for a 3-1 win (23-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-15) on the road at Fontbonne. Talya DeGraw had an all-around good match for the Bulldogs with six kills and 27 digs, Katie Dever played well in the middle with four kills and two blocks, and Kelly MacDonald played strong in the backcourt and served well.

King Philip, 3 @ Walpole, 0 – FinalKP swept Walpole for the second time this season, winning 25-12, 25-15, 25-10 to stay unbeaten. Sami Shore led the way with 11 kills and four aces, while Ahunna James had eight kills and seven digs, and Emily Sawyer finished with seven kills and three blocks. Sofia Reidel had a strong service game with seven aces and Stella Bailey chipped in with four aces and five digs. Samantha Asprelli had another strong defensive match with eight digs.

Taunton, 3 vs. Durfee, 1 – FinalTaunton jumped out to a two-set advantage and took care of business in the fourth to win the match 3-1 (25-15, 25-15, 23-25, 25-14) after dropping a close third set. Angie Lynch had a great all-around game for the Tigers with eight kills, seven digs, four aces, and a block to lead the way. Mikayla Cleary added five kills, four aces, and four blocks while Anna Abouzeid dished out 18 assists and added three kills and a pair of aces. Dani Lofgren (14 digs and excellent serve receive) and Jess Foley (eight digs, three aces) both played well defensively for Taunton.

Siobhan Landers paced the attack for the Bombardiers, netting a pair of goals. Jordan Mooney, Emma Briggs, Emelia Westwater, and Sarah McMahon all scored once for Attleboro.

Taunton, 0 @ Franklin, 9 – FinalFranklin scored three goals inside a six minute span in the first quarter to set the tone and the Panthers never looked back in a win over visiting Taunton. Kaitlyn Carney, Sydney Rogan, and Payten Crandall all scored for Franklin with the latter also assisting on the second goal. Carney went on to add three more goals, two assisted by Emily Carney in the third quarter. Shaw Downing and Haley Wernig also had first half goals while Sophia Cuneo tacked on a goal in the fourth quarter. Megan Sullivan had the shutout in net for the hosts.

King Philip, 2 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalAfter a scoreless first half, King Philip scored once in each quarter of the second half to get a win on the road over Mansfield. Sophomore Mara Boldy broke the deadlock with a goal midway through the third quarter and sophomore Kelly Holmes put the game away when she found the back of the cage with three minutes to play. Junior Haley Bright turned away three shots to earn the save while seniors Molly Piller, Christina Gifun, and Lily Brown all had strong games for KP. KP head coach Lisa Cropper praised the “outstanding game” of freshman Abby MacDonald, who made her first varsity start at left midfield.

Oliver Ames, 6 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalOliver Ames set the tone in its road game at Sharon with three goals in the first quarter, stretching the lead to 5-0 by the halftime break. Erin Cottam opened the scoring off an assist from Georgia Costello less than a minute into the contest and then doubled the Tigers’ advantage off a feed from Tyla Delamere. Costello then made it 3-0 with just under five minutes to go in the first quarter. Julia Maclaine and Ava Costello scored by halftime while Lily Gaskill had two first half assists. Georgia Costello (from Cottam) aded the final goal in the third quarter.










Volleyball
Attleboro, 3 @ Milford, 1 – FinalAttleboro erased a one-set deficit by winning three straight to earn a win on the road over the Scarlet Hawks, 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-18). Summer Pereira had a strong performance at the net with 12 digs, Natalie Brojek dished out 30 assists, and freshman Julia Leonardo finished with 14 digs and 18 kills. Gabby Bolduc and Tigin Bombardier both played well at the night for Attleboro.

Stoughton, 0 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCanton grabbed its second win in as many days, this time sweeping neighboring Stoughton, 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-12). Anna Verille had a standout performance for the Bulldogs, recording 12 digs, eight aces, and a kill. Taylor Reynolds dished out 21 assists while Kelly MacDonald had a perfect night at the service line and played solid defense.

Taunton, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalFranklin senior Cailyn Mackintosh did it all to lead the Panthers to a win at home, a 3-0 sweep (25-11, 25-9, 25-20) over Taunton. Mackintosh had 21 assists, 10 digs, four aces, and three kills in a strong all-around performance while sophomore Taylor Lacerda added 10 kills an an ace in the win.

King Philip, 3 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalKing Philip went on the road and earned a win in hard-fought battle, walking away with a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-16, 25-16). The Warriors had a balance attack at the net led by Sami Shore’s 10 kills, Ahunna James’ nine kills, and Emily Sawyer’s six kills. Samantha Asprelli added 11 digs to anchor the defense while Stella Bailey shined at the service line with 17 service points, including seven aces.

Boys Cross-Country
Franklin, 20 @ Attleboro, 43 – FinalAttleboro’s Lee Casstevens won the race but the next seven runners to cross the finish line were all Panthers. Casstevens crossed at 17:15 for first overall followed by Franklin’s Griffin Sieczkiewicz in second and Clancy Golden in third. Stephen Rontiris, Tyler Apicella, Michael Farrow, Connor Kucich, and Will Boozang all finished in order to round out the top eight spots.

King Philip, 46 @ Taunton, 17 – FinalTaunton senior captain Ryan Strawbridge ran a personal best time on his way to a first place finish at home, helping the Tigers win big on senior night. Strawbridge shaved seven seconds off his previous best, setting a new mark at 17:15 in the win. Sophomores Brayden Cali (17:16) and Andrew Cali (17:41) rounded out the top three for the Tigers, freshman Cam Dorr set a new PR by over 30 seconds for fifth overall, and junior Sam Dennis took sixth overall in his varsity debut. Junior captain Jack Pawlowski also set a new PR by over 30 seconds and took seventh overall.

Mansfield, 23 @ Milford, 32 – FinalMansfield picked up its second win in a row to start the season, this time taking down Milford on the road. Collin Stevens was the Hornets’ top finisher, clocking in at 17:28. Sophomore Talon Johnson had a strong showing in his debut race, crossing the finish line at 18:34 for sixth overall.

Franklin, 15 @ Attleboro, 50 – FinalIt was a clean sweep for the Panthers with their five scorers taking the first five spots in the race. Abigail Baker was first overall followed by Fiona Morrison, Carli Walbert, Alex Batla, and Vivie Loukota to found out the top five.

King Philip, 27 @ Taunton, 28 – FinalTaunton had the top two runners but King Philip took the next four spots plus a ninth place finish to edge out Taunton by a point. Taunton freshman Emersyn Deponte tied the Tiger record for dual meet wins in a season by taking first in her second straight race, this time in 21:10. Classmate Colby Dunham was just seconds behind for second overall in 21:32. Also scoring for Taunton was junior Kiley Quinlan (22:16), junior Phylicia Dias (23:06), and eighth grader Tori Corrao (23:55).

Mansfield, 22 @ Milford, 33 – FinalMansfield sophomore Anna Moore won the race and the Hornets got key points following some great pack running in a win over Milford. Moore clocked in at 20:12 for first overall, followed by Milford’s Sydney Kalil (20:27), Mansfield’s Meghan Johnston (20:42), and Milford’s Jillian Araujo (20:47). After splitting the first four spots, Mansfield’s trio of junior Devin Anderson, senior Sophia Allen, and junior Alanna Conley finished in that order within a 10-second span to take the next three spots and help the Hornets get the win.

Stoughton, 194 @ Sharon, 175 – FinalSharon defended its home turf with a win over Stoughton at the Cape Club of Sharon. Eric Carter earned match medalist honors after shooting a 43 to lead the Eagles. Rosie Leonard, Chance Hanna, and Noah Glassman all shot 45 to round out the scoring for the hosts. Anthony Hern had the low-round for the Black Knights, shooting a 44 on the day.

Canton, 151 @ Franklin, 166 – FinalAll four of Canton’s scorers shot 40 or better on the road at Franklin Country Club, leading the Bulldogs to a non-league win. Conor Hunter was the match medalist, shooting a low-round of 35 to pace the visitors. Will Gefteas added a 36 in the win while both Mike Leonetti and Nate MacDonald shot 40. CJ Steel fired a team-low round of 40 for the Panthers, Brendan Collins and Tyler O’Brien each shot a 41, and Liam Lewandowski came in with a round of 44.

North Attleboro, 168 @ Foxboro, 170 – FinalNorth Attleboro did just enough on the front nine at Foxboro Country Club to take home a two-stroke victory over division foe Foxboro. Jake Gaskin continued his strong play this season, this time coming in with a one-under par round of 37 to earn match medalist honors. Dillon Harding added a 43 in the win while both Tyson Laviano and Aaron Levesque finished at 44. Foxboro’s Jack Rounds had a team-low round of 40 while Matt Sullivan was just a shot behind at 41. Matt Fossella added a 44 and Jack Watts chipped in with a 45.

Mansfield, 150 @ Oliver Ames, 151 – FinalMansfield returned home with a hard fought win, taking a one-stroke victory on the road at Pine Oaks against Oliver Ames. Hunter Tang fired an even par round of 34 to earn medalist honors for the Hornets, Cian Goulet added 38 in the win, and both Cody Nieratko and Ryan Doherty shot a 40. For Oliver Ames, senior captain Jake Kaplan had the team-low round of 36, both Jo Jo Gaultier and Daniel Paul shot 38, and Brendan Connelly and David Rodgers each finished at 39.

Taunton, 196 vs. New Bedford, 212 – FinalTaunton earned its first win of the season by knocking off New Bedford, splitting the season series with the Whalers. Loran Corcoran led the Tigers with a team-low round of 47 while Jack Gobin and Shawn Murphy each shot 48 for Taunton.
