Baseball
Sharon, 1 @ Archbishop Williams, 2 – FinalLuke Meixel pitched well for the Eagles and the top of the lineup combined for five hits but Sharon couldn’t overcome a pair of early runs from the Bishops. Meixel allowed just two runs on five hits and four walks, striking out eight in a complete game. Offensively, Palash Raina (run) and Harry Librot (two doubles) each had two hits in the win while Drew Yaffe had one hit for the Eagles.

Softball
Foxboro, 14 vs. Newton South, 7 – Final

Mansfield, 6 @ Norton, 13 – FinalMansfield rallied twice to cut the deficit down to a couple of runs but each time the Lancers pulled away to land the win. Jill Koppy roped a two-run double in the third and Molly Kucharski singled in Liv Madeira to help the Hornets get on the board in the third inning. Trailing 9-3 going into the fifth, Mansfield plated three more runs to get back into the game. Kucharski singled Madeira home again, and Allie Koppy had a two-out double to bring in a pair of runs to make it 9-6, but the hosts pulled away in the fifth and sixth innings. Molly Crowley, Avery Lake, and Callie Lake also had a hit for Mansfield.

Sharon, 5 vs. Ursuline Academy, 9 – FinalIn the first of a two-game series against Ursuline in a two-day span, the Eagles suffered a 9-5 setback. Manasa Josyula tossed a complete game for Sharon with 13 strikeouts, Isabella Zelenchuk and Sammy Dunham each had two RBIs, and Maddie Hu drove in one run.

Boys Lacrosse
Canton, 8 @ Marshfield, 10 – Final Canton was deadlocked at halftime with Marshfield but the host Rams won the second half to get the win. Cam Conley led Canton with a hat trick while Pat Drury played well with eight stops in net.

Milford, 15 vs. Southeastern, 5 – Final

Sharon, 16 vs. Cardinal Spellman, 3 – Final

Girls Lacrosse
Franklin, 8 vs. Bishop Guertin (N.H.), 7 – FinalKaitlyn Carney completed her hat trick with five minutes to go to break a tie game and help Franklin score a win over New Hampshire’s top team in Bishop Guertin. The first half finished level at 6-6, and each team scored just once in the first 15 minutes of a low scoring second half. Carney’s goal gave the Panthers the lead, and a yellow card to the visitors allowed Franklin to kill out the clock. Carney also had an assist and was strong on draws (seven controls). Katie Peterson also had three goals for Franklin while Lindsay Atkinson scored twice and Katie Ryan found the back of the net once. Julia Flynn also had some key draws while Peyton Crandall had a standout performance defensively with four caused turnovers.

Stoughton, 5 @ Hull, 14 – FinalFour Black Knights recorded a point but Stoughton dropped a game on the road at Hull. Morgan Groppi (one assit, four draw controls) and Amanda Reid each scored a pair of goals, Casey Groppi added a pair of assists, and Hazel McBurney scored once. Jordan Coleman played well in net with eight saves.

Girls Tennis
King Philip, 5 @ Dighton-Rehoboth, 0 – FinalKing Philip swept all five matches, including four in straight sets, to take down host Dighton-Rehoboth. Ahunna James (6-1, 6-0) and Shea Mellman (6-0, 6-0) rolled at first and second singles, repsectively, while Caroline Freese overcame a one-set deficit to win in a super tiebreaker (5-7, 6-1, 10-6) at third singles. The senior tandem of Carlie Burns and Priya Riar landed a 6-0, 6-1 win at first doubles while senior Lauren Casper paired with Jaelyn Dang for a 6-0, 6-3 win at second doubles.

Milford, 1 vs. Natick, 3 – Final
