Canton senior Ruairi Ritson picked up right where he left off a year ago, winning his bracket at the Kevin Curtis Invitational to kick off the new season. Ritson had five pins, including one in just seven seconds, to take the crown at 190. In the finals, Ritson fell behind 2-0 after the first round but got a takedown and a fall at 3:37 to win. Canton finished seventh as a team with heavyweight Effrem Gnepo taking third overall, going 4-1 in his wrestling debut. Anika Valluri (113), Jacob George (120), and Max Kupferman (145) each finished fourth.
