Cole Hogencamp

Cole Hogencamp is a junior at Mansfield High School and a standout multi-sport student-athlete, competing in both lacrosse and football. Known for his discipline, competitiveness, and strong leadership qualities, Cole has earned recognition across the Hockomock League for his athletic excellence and commitment to improving both himself and those around him. With a weighted 3.9 GPA, he balances academic rigor with high-level athletic performance and active involvement in school initiatives.

Cole is a decorated lacrosse player whose achievements include being named a two-time Hockomock League All-Star, Hockomock Underclassman of the Year, Hockomock Player of the Year, a Boston Globe All-Star, Boston Herald All-Scholastic, and a USA Lacrosse All-American. These honors reflect not only his talent but also his work ethic, discipline, and ability to elevate team success.

Off the field, Cole strengthens his leadership through service to younger athletes as a lacrosse youth coach for the Mansfield Lacrosse Program. In this role, he coaches developing players, teaching advanced game concepts, emphasizing fundamentals, and building lacrosse IQ. He is also a Certified Senior Associate Lacrosse Official for the MIAA Youth Lacrosse League, demonstrating professionalism, fairness, and deep knowledge of the game.

Cole recently joined Active Minds, a student-led mental health awareness club where he helps promote wellness, support, and positive school culture. His involvement reflects his belief that leadership extends beyond athletics and into creating a supportive, healthy environment for his peers.

Cole’s leadership style has been shaped significantly by his athletic experiences. When his lacrosse team faced challenges with discipline and preparation, even as a younger player he took initiative to model the effort, focus, and intensity needed for success. By elevating practice standards and encouraging accountability among teammates, he helped contribute to the team’s improvement and postseason success. He is known for keeping teammates motivated through tough moments, supporting others when they struggle, and reminding them to stay confident and focused.

Driven, team-centered, and grounded in strong character, Cole aims to continue developing his leadership, communication, and service skills through the Hockomock LEAP Program. He is excited to grow as a student-athlete leader and looks forward to making a positive impact on the Mansfield community and the broader Hockomock League.
