Fiona Trendell is a dedicated student-athlete at Canton High School whose leadership, character, and commitment to service have made her a standout member of her school community. A junior multi-sport varsity athlete in volleyball and softball, Fiona is known for leading with positivity, resilience, and purpose both on and off the field and court.

Her coaches and peers consistently recognize her as someone who elevates the people around her, an athlete who leads by example, communicates with confidence, and approaches every environment with a spirit of teamwork.

In volleyball, Fiona has earned a reputation as the kind of leader who does the quiet, essential work that holds a program together. From setting up the gym to supporting younger athletes, she models responsibility, humility, and pride in her program.

Her coach describes her as a rare blend of vocal encouragement, consistent work ethic, and empathetic leadership, someone who brings energy to every practice, steadiness to every challenge, and joy to every game. She is equally impactful in softball, where she embraces accountability, positivity, and team culture as the foundation of success.

Regardless of circumstances, Fiona is known for cheering loudly, competing passionately, and motivating her teammates through both tough moments and high-pressure situations.

Beyond athletics, Fiona is deeply involved in leadership roles throughout Canton High School. She serves on the Student Council Executive Board as an elected delegate, coordinating major school events, fundraisers, and spirit initiatives.

As a Link Leader, she guides and mentors incoming freshmen, helping ease their transition into high school and remaining mindful of the example she sets for younger students. She was also selected by her school administration to present to eighth graders about entering high school, an experience that reinforced her commitment to being a positive role model within the community.

Fiona’s service extends further through her work as Treasurer of the CHS Red Cross Club, where she organizes fundraisers, assists with blood drives, and supports humanitarian efforts in collaboration with the American Red Cross.

Outside of school, she works at Goldfish Swim School as a swim instructor, lifeguard, and deck assistant, roles that demand responsibility, safety awareness, and strong communication skills.

Academically, Fiona is a high-achieving student, maintaining High Honor Roll status with a 4.8056 weighted GPA and earning the CHS Century Club Award for academic excellence.

Her teachers and coaches frequently highlight her reliability, flexibility, creativity, and ability to thrive under pressure. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, as well as the National Honor Society chapters for Science, Math, English, and French.

Driven by a genuine love of sports, a commitment to her teammates, and a desire to uplift those around her, Fiona embodies the values of the Hockomock LEAP Program. Her leadership is grounded in character, fueled by positivity, and oriented toward service, making her a strong role model within Canton High School and an impactful representative of student-athlete leadership across the Hockomock League.
