Glebus carried the ball 209 times for 1,517 yards this season and led the league with 21 rushing touchdowns for the Warriors. He averaged 7.26 yards per carry in an offense that was predicated on running the ball and regularly faced defenses that were stacked up at the line to prevent the run.
“Great vision and ability to cut; makes people miss but also has a great stiff arm to run through tackles,” said KP coach Brian Lee, when asked what makes Glebus so tough to bring down.
Lee added, “Everyone knew he was getting the ball every play, and they still couldn’t stop him. But in the end it was his dependability and toughness that made him so special.”
In addition to his offensive numbers, Glebus added 37 tackles, a sack, and a team-high two interceptions as a cornerback. His work on both sides of the ball were a major reason that the Warriors finished the season 10-1 (5-0 in the league), won the program’s first outright league title, and reached the Division 2 South final.
“Mark was a constant threat for the Warriors,” said HockomockSports.com Managing Editor Josh Perry. “He proved his worth against Attleboro in the final game of the regular season when he sat most of the game with an injury but asked back in and then went out and scored again. When he was on the field, you expected him to make something happen.”

Lynch stepped in for the Hornets this season after injuries had depleted the running back corps. He finished the season with 810 yards in eight games and averaged 20 carries per game as Mansfield’s go-to back. His eight rushing TDs were in the top 10 for the league’s running backs.
“Brian really played above and beyond expectations and went from being a sub to being our go-to running back,” said Mansfield coach Mike Redding. “He was the difference for us this year after all the injuries at running back.”
Redding added, “He certainly has a bright future for us moving forward and he has a real nice compliment next year in the backfield with Connor Finerty returning; real nice one-two punch.”
Honorable Mentions: Bobby Mylod (North Attleboro), John DeLuca (King Philip), Tyler McGovern (Attleboro)
Under Lee, KP has been a dominant defensive team that focuses on dominating the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. This year, the Warriors held two teams scoreless, allowed only four teams to reach double digits, two to hit 20-plus points, and allowed 105 points in 11 games.
In five Hockomock games, KP outscored its opponents 161-50 and held three teams to single digits. The Warriors won four of the five league games by at least 19 points.
“There is an attitude and toughness about KP and that goes directly to the coaching staff,” said HockomockSports.com Managing Editor Josh Perry. “The Warriors are also constantly adjusting on defense and attacking from different angles and it’s makes it very difficult to game plan against them.”
Lee and the Warriors also won two playoff games and advanced to the program’s first D2 South final.
Honorable Mentions: Joe Todd (Milford), Dave Bohane (Canton), Greg Burke (Stoughton)
