Stoughton, 4 vs. Brockton, 2 – Final – Stoughton erased a 2-0 deficit with a five fifth inning to open the season with a win over neighboring Brockton. Sophomore Julie Powers led off the bottom of the fifth with a double and then scored on an RBI double from Maddie Hinds to cut the deficit in half. After a single from Camryn Whitman, senior Sydney Menz connected on a two-run double to bring in the tying and go-ahead runs. An infield grounder brought in the insurance run for the Black Knights. Kerry Driscoll earned the win in the circle, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out six.
