Hockomock Schedule & Scoreboard – 04/02/14

Here are today’s Hockomock games.

Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 3 @ Milford, 9 – Final Brad White scored 2 goals and had 2 assists, Nick Mobilia had 2 goals and 3 assists and Spencer Lawson had a goal, 7 shots and played a solid game on both sides of the field according to head coach Jeff Bachey.

Mansfield, 5 @ Canton, 6 – Final – Canton’s Tommy Galvin scored the game-winner with 10 seconds left for the Bulldogs. Sophomore attack Ben O’Neill scored two goals and added an assist and Ben Lodge made nine saves in net for the Bulldogs. Canton head coach Bill Bendell said Matt Bagley dominated face-offs after the first quarter and praised his defensive effort.

North Attleboro, 6 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final – Sean Young scored three goals, including the final two of the game, Kyle Chretien scored two goals and Jake Rivello scored once while James Kummer had four assists. It’s the first time that North Attleboro beat Foxboro in program history.

Franklin, 13 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – Final Jack Vail picked up six points in the win via two goals and four assists and Austin Kent added four goals for the Panthers.

King Philip, 14 @ Sharon, 7 – Final  Brandon King, Johnny Piatelli and Brett McEvoy each scored four games and Piatelli added three assists. Nick Roberts notched a goal and Owen Mellick had a goal and an assist. Chris White had two helpers for the Warriors. KP goalie Peyton Rochon made 12 saves in net. Head coach Jacob Kravitz said Rochon played a “fantastic” second half and “stood on his head” as the teams were tied 5-5 at halftime. 

Girls Lacrosse
Milford, 20 @ Attleboro, 10 – Final – Milford gets its first Hockomock League victory. Gabrielle Vasile had six goals and an assist, Louisa Stansbury had five goals and three assists, and Olivia Overdahl had five goals and five assists for the Hawks. Milford goalie Samantha Faucher made 10 saves. 

Canton, 17 @ Mansfield, 17 – Final

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Franklin, 17 – Final – Emily Jeffries scored five goals, Marta Vesprille had two goals and six draw controls and Julia Bireley had a goal and three draw controls. OA’s Meg Bosse scored two goals and Abby Duvall scored one for the Tigers. Sydney Corsini made 15 saves in net. 

Sharon, 4 @ King Philip, 15 – Final – Julianne Piatelli scored four goals and had three assists for the Warriors, while Alicia Cuoco had two goals and three assists and Maria Woodall had seven saves. Samantha Ferris had two goals for Sharon and Mimi Ross had 10 saves.
