Logan McAndrew

I am a student at Oliver Ames High School in Easton, Massachusetts, and a member of the Hockomock LEAP Program. I am a three-sport athlete, competing in soccer, wrestling, and lacrosse, and I serve as a junior captain for the lacrosse team.

A two-time Hockomock League champion, I am also a Division Two state champion in soccer. My athletic experiences have helped shape my leadership, competitiveness, and commitment to my teammates.

Academically, I hold a 4.09 GPA and have taken five AP courses during my high school career. I am involved in three after-school clubs and serve as vice president of one. I am also a member of the Best Buddies program at my school, which supports students with special needs by creating opportunities for inclusion, interaction, and shared activities.

I give back at the youth level by volunteering as an assistant coach for fifth- and sixth-grade lacrosse in my town’s youth program. Coaching younger athletes has strengthened my communication skills, patience, and sense of responsibility.

Through LEAP, I hope to continue developing skills that will benefit me in the future. One area I want to improve is having important conversations when situations are not always positive. I believe LEAP will help me become a stronger leader both on and off the field.

Being surrounded by others who also want to lead will help me grow my mindset and push myself to improve. I strive to do the best I can in all aspects of my life, not just on the field, but also in the classroom and my school community.
