King Philip junior Greyson Perachi has been selected as the HockomockSports.com Player of the Week, presented by Morse Insurance, for Sept. 22 through Sept. 28. Perachi is the fourth athlete chosen as Player of the Week for the 2025-26 school year.
Perachi scored a brace to help KP come from behind and beat Milford last week, which lifted the Warriors into a first-place tie with rival Franklin atop the Kelley-Rex division standings. He now has four goals and an assist on the season, which is tied for second on the Warriors in points.
“Greyson is a junior striker enjoying his first varsity season, he spent half of the season on the JV last year and most of the year in a back brace with fractured vertebrae,” said King Philip head coach Mike O’Neill. “That he could show up to tryouts this fall with so little experience and make the varsity squad is a testament to his skill. However, he has not just made the team. This September, he leads the team in goals scored (with six) and is second on the team in points with seven. He scored twice (including the game winner) in our 3-2 win over Milford last week. His play has been nothing short of amazing.”
Coming off a tough loss to Holliston over the weekend, KP grabbed the lead against Milford early in the second half. Just 36 seconds after the break, Perachi ran onto a pass from Braden Burns and fired it into the back of the net to make it 1-0. Milford answered back, including a goal after going down a man. In the final 12 minutes, KP took advantage of the extra player to rally and pick up the win. Nick Longobardi equalized and then Perachi pounced for the winner. A free kick from George Blakesley was flicked on by Longobardi and Perachi was in the right place to bury the chance.
