Girls Hockey
Canton, 5 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – Canton set the tone early with three goals in the opening period to earn a second straight win over Franklin. Lizzie Tassinari, Payton McDonough, and Ellie Roberts scored in opening frame for the Bulldogs. Franklin scored twice inside a minute in the second to get within one with Shaw Downing and Lyndsey Atkinson scoring back-to-back. Roberts added a second to give Canton some breathing room and Tess Khoury tacked on a late insurance goal.
King Philip, 3 @ Mansfield/Oliver Ames, 2 – Final – King Philip scored two unanswered goals in the third period to turn a deficit into a win in the second game against MOA in as many days. Freshman Kelly Holmes scored a pair of goals for the Warriors, who trailed 2-1 after two periods. Jennifer Daniels also scored in the win while Sydney O’Shea had two assists.
