Boys Basketball
Canton, 54 vs. Pentucket, 51 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game. – Canton senior Devin Foster poured in 28 points and hauled in nine rebounds to help the Bulldogs snap a two-game skid and pick up a non-league win over Pentucket. Foster scored 13 of those point in the second quarter, a period in which the Bulldogs outscored the Sachems 17-6 to build a nine-point lead at half. Canton led 35-28 heading into the final quarter and had an eight-point lead with under a minute to play before Pentucket hit some three-pointers, including one just before the buzzer, to shrink the deficit. Ryan Lentol (five rebounds) and Eric Mischler each added seven points for the Bulldogs.

Mansfield, 74 vs. Lynn English, 64 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game. – Mansfield held high-powered Lynn English to just 21 first half points, building a 19-point lead by halftime, and then held on as the Bulldogs made a second half comeback bid. After taking a 15-11 lead after one, Mansfield poured in 25 points in the second quarter to take a 40-21 advantage into the halftime break. Lynn English responded with 23 points in the third quarter to cut the deficit to eight (52-44) to start the fourth but the Hornets never let it get closer than four points in the final frame. Damani Scott came off the bench and scored a team-high 20 points and hauled in 12 rebounds, sophomore Matty Boen added 16 points, four boards, and four assists, and junior Sam Stevens finished with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Girls Basketball
King Philip, 61 @ North Attleboro, 44 – Final – Faith Roy scored 13 points and Shannon O’Connor added 12 to lead the Warriors to their seventh win of the season. Amanda Kaiser scored 20 points to pace the Rocketeers.
