Colin Levis gave the visitors the lead in the 31st minute but Mansfield freshman Dylan Buchanan was crediting for the tying goal, with the Bombardiers have an own goal.

Franklin, 0 @ King Philip, 2 – FinalKing Philip scored inside the first and last five minutes of the match to earn two points at home and keep its postseason hopes alive. Senior captain Ian Zimmerman gave the hosts the lead in the third minute, finishing off a cross from classmate John Cullen. Cam Lawrence added the insurance tally in the 75th minute, scoring on a volley on an assist from Gavon Fox. Aidan Lindmark made four saves to record the shutout.

Milford @ Sharon – Postponed to Saturday, 10/20 at 6:00.

Girls Soccer
Mansfield, 3 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalMansfield’s Steph Kemp found the back of the net twice while Sydney Mulkern capped the scoring, leading the Hornets to a shutout win on the road. Bryn Anderson had two assists while Katy Garvin added one helper for the Hornets.

Foxboro, 1 @ Walpole, 0 – FinalFoxboro used an early second half goal and solid play from its defense and goalies to pick up a win on the road at Walpole and stay unbeaten on the season. Lizzy Davis had the lone goal, scoring an unassisted tally early in the second half.

King Philip, 1 @ Franklin, 1 – FinalAfter a scoreless first half, Ally Stanton broke the deadlock midway through the second half off an Avery Snead assist. Erin Quaile equalized for Franklin just four minutes later off a Carly Alston assist. Breanna Atwood made nine saves and Taylor Butler made five saves for the Warriors, as both teams earned a point.

Stoughton, 1 @ North Attleboro, 8 – FinalAshlyn Gaulin scored four times to help the Rocketeers clinch a spot in the state tournament. Kayla Pasquel had a pair of goals and an assist and Abi Slaney scored the first two goals of her career. Lily Cameron had a pair of assists, while Haley Ferrin, Emma Gaulin and Lydia Santos each had one assist in the win. Stoughton sophomore Ashley Camilo scored on an assist from Hannah Papagno.

Sharon, 0 @ Milford, 2 – FinalCassie Probert and Juliana France each scored their third goals of the season for the Hawks to help the team earn its third win of the season. Olivia Marshall had the clean sheet for Milford, her third this fall, making seven saves in the win.

Attleboro, 4 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalIn her third varsity game, freshman Emelia Westwater scored her first varsity goal, and then scored another as the Bombardiers netted a win on the road. Anna Beck and Emma Briggs also scored for Attleboro in the victory.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalTaunton goalie Emma Sheehan made seven saves in net to help the host Tigers earn a draw.

Volleyball
Oliver Ames, 3 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 0 – Final Oliver Ames went on the road and picked up a 3-0 sweep (25-13, 25-18, 25-11) over Bridgewater-Raynham to qualify for the state tournament. Sadie Homer had 29 digs for the Tigers, Jordan Bosse added 14 kills and three aces, and sophomore Sarah Morley had a balanced defensive game for the Tigers.

King Philip, 0 @ Walpole, 3 – FinalKing Philip went on the road and fell to Walpole. Catherine Waldeck had five kills and two blocks and Shayla Weitzman added nine digs for the Warriors.

Franklin, 1 @ Xaverian, 0 – FinalFranklin scored the game-winning goal midway through the second half to earn its second win over Xaverian this season. Senior Ethan Bowen converted a pass from junior Lucas Moura in the 60th minute to help the Panthers grab two points.

Sharon, 1 vs. Wellesley, 2 – FinalSharon’s Daniel Lilienfeld put the hosts up midway through the second half but Wellesley scored two goals in the final five minutes to steal the win. Ethan Kantor had a strong game in net for the Eagles.

Milford, 3 vs. Blackstone Valley, 0 – Final Milford built a 2-0 advantage by halftime and added an insurance tally in the second half to beat Blackstone Valley. Lucas Da Silva put the hosts up 1-0 off an assist from Tiago Carvalho. The Hawks doubled the lead late in the second half when Leo Coelho set up Joao Vitor. Walisson de Oliveira converted a penalty kick in the second half to cap the scoring. Tiago Filadelfo and Zach Browne had strong games on defense for Milford.

Girls Soccer
Foxboro, 2 vs. Walpole, 0 – FinalFoxboro scored a goal in each half and used a staunch defensive effort to beat Walpole and stay unbeaten on the season. Lizzy Davis opened the scoring off a cross from Jordyn Collins in the first half, and Kenzi Fraser scored a late unassisted goal to seal the victory. Alex Stamatos had a standout game, anchoring a strong defensive performance from the Warriors.

Milford, 1 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro held off a “spirited” Milford team to win a game that tight throughout. Ashlyn Gaulin scored the opener on an “olimpico” 10 minutes into the game and then assisted on a Kayla Pasquel goal three minutes later, doubling North’s lead. Milford cut the lead back to one in the second half, but the Rocketeers secured the two points when Lydia Santos headed in an Alex Moulson free kick with three minutes left to play. North coach Bill Wallace said that Emma Gaulin had a strong game in midfield.

Golf
Stoughton, 191 @ King Philip, 166 – FinalKing Philip’s Kayla Schuberth earned match medalist honors as the Warriors fended off the visiting Black Knights. Schuberth carded a match-low round of 39, Nate Ihley and Jared Curran each shot 42 and Raymond Mullin shot 43. Luke Bainton led Stoughton with a team-low round of 43.

Jordyn Collins set the tone inside the opening minute, taking a pass from Lizzy Davis and scoring to put the visitors ahead. Kenzi Fraser, Kailee McCabe, Katie Hunter, and Katelyn Mollica (from Kaitryn Franchino) all scored once for the Warriors.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Braintree, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro bounced back from a loss to Foxboro with a solid non-league road win. Ashlyn Gaulin scored the game’s only goal when she followed up her own shot that had caromed off the crossbar and she tapped in the rebound. North coach William Wallace praised the play of Kayla Pasquel, Haley Ferrin, Lydia Santos, and Bri Westcott in the middle of the field. Emma Noreck earned the clean sheet in goal.

Franklin, 4 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalCassi Ronan set up a pair of goals in the first half and the Panthers scored two more in the second half to beat Attleboro. Ronan assisted on Regan Paterson’s goal that put the Panthers up 1-0, and then set up Victoria Quinn as Franklin took a 2-0 lead into half. Sara Carney and Stephanie Bell each scored unassisted goals in the second half and Anna Jardine made four saves in goal for the shutout.

King Philip, 6 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalMeghan MacDonald, Alli Meehan, and Nicole Connor all scored in the first half, helping the Warriors build a 3-0 lead that it never relinquished in a win over Oliver Ames. Abby Nixon had an assist on MacDonald’s opening goal with 12:49 left in the first half. Meehan set Connor up with 4:41 left in the half, and then switched roles for a 4-0 lead less than three minutes into the second. Meehan finished with three goals and an assist and sophomore Olivia Kulesza added a late goal for KP. Oliver Ames sophomore Brynna Courneen scored her first goal of the season off a penalty corner in the second half.

Mansfield, 0 @ Taunton 0 – FinalTaunton goalie Emma Sheehan made 10 saves to help keep the contest equal.

Canton, 3 @ Milford, 1 – FinalAfter splitting the first two sets, Canton won a close third game and went on to finish the match with a 3-1 victory (25-15, 18-25, 25-23, 25-16). Erin Devine has a great night for the Bulldogs, finishing with 12 kills and six blocks. Taylor Harris added nine kills, two blocks and 12 digs, Nicole Brown continued to impress with 22 assists, five kills, three aces and 11 digs, and Emily Morrison and Megan McDonough (five aces) combined for 19 digs.

Foxboro, 1 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final

King Philip, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalKing Philip went on the road and recorded a 3-0 sweep (25-7, 25-21, 25-20) against Oliver Ames. KP middles Catherine Waldeck (12 kills, two blocks) and Nicole Coughlan (seven kills, five blocks, two aces) both had strong games for the Warriors while, Kat Kmetz added 12 digs, two kills, and a pair of aces, and Shayla Weitzman finished with 14 digs, four aces, and 13 service points. For Oliver Ames, senior Jackie Raymond had eight aces, senior Sadie Homer finished with 36 digs, and junior Allie Kemp had 16 assists.

Mansfield, 3 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalMansfield fell behind 2-1 but battled back to win the fourth set, and went on to win the decisive fifth set for a win over Taunton (16-25, 25-23, 24-26, 25-17, 15-7). For Mansfield, Greenly Kelly had nine kills, four blocks and 14 service points, Sam Sternberg added 15 digs and 10 service points, Olivia McGrath had a nice game with 13 kills and 10 service points, and Katie Dardinski chipped in with nine digs and 13 service points.

Foxboro, 173 @ Oliver Ames, 153 – FinalOliver Ames picked a pair of wins, including a divisional victory, by beating Foxboro and Taunton in a tri-match at Pine Oaks. Nolan Donze paced Oliver Ames with a 36, Liam Barry shot 38, Ryan Bock carded a round of 39, and Justin Shapiro finished with a 40.

Franklin, 3 @ Attleboro, 1 – FinalFranklin senior Tim Duval scored a pair of goals and assisted on another to lead the Panthers to a win on the road. “It was a well played game, our kids played really well together tonight,” said Franklin head coach Fran Bositis. Junior Lucas Moura set Duval up for his first goal, and Duval assisted on classmate Ethan Bowen’s goal.

Milford, 2 @ Canton, 1 – FinalMilford junior Walisson de Oliveira opened the scoring in the first half and assisted on what proved to be the game-winner in the second as the Hawks picked up a key win on the road to pull into a first place tie in the Davenport division. de Oliveira capitalized on a loose ball behind the defense, chipping the keeper in the 15th minute to put the Hawks up 1-0. In the 71st minute, de Oliveira flicked himself in, got a touch past the keeper and Joao Vitor Neiva slid and pushed the ball across the line. Canton struck just two minutes later when Paolo Ruggeri converted a nice shot from outside the area to cut the deficit in half.

King Philip, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalIn a back-and-forth contest, Oliver Ames scored the game-winning goal inside the final 10 minutes to grab two points at home, bouncing back from its first loss of the season. Senior Sean Flaherty found the back of the net after Haendal Louhis flicked on a throw in from Harry Ahearn. Senior Jacob Lerman and Drew Nikla combined for the shutout for the Tigers, each making a big stop. Lerman thwarted a breakaway in the first half while Nickla came up with a big save without allowing a rebound on a cross in the final minutes.

Mansfield, 7 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalMansfield raced out to a 5-0 lead by halftime and never looked back, beating Taunton to qualify for the state tournament. Junior Raffi Marzella scored a pair of goals in the win while classmate Robert Healey had two assists. Junior Colin Caridi, freshman Dylan Buchanon, and senior Ethan Brill-Cass each had a goal and an assist.

Stoughton, 0 @ Sharon, 3 – FinalSharon broke into the win column with a 3-0 decision over visiting Stoughton. Bryce Nathan had the game-winning goal and also recorded an assist for the Eagles. Nathan opened the scoring in the 25th minute, converting an assist from Antonio El-Khoury. Sharon made it 2-0 before the break when Brian Higgins took a feed from Andrew Ableman and found the back of the net. Nathan set up Victor Schneider for a goal in the second half. Stoughton sophomore Nolan Gerome made 16 saves for the Black Knights.

Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalFranklin scored three times in the final 20 minutes to secure a win in a physical division game. Sabrina Addi opened the scoring for the Panthers and Franklin took advantage of the Bombardiers pushing forward after an equalizer to score two more. Hailey Toolin added the second off an assist from Sydney St. Marie and Anna Blakus sealed the win in the final minute off an assist from Calen Frongillo. Tayla Drape made 10 saves for Attleboro, while Breanna Atwood made four to keep a clean sheet.

Milford, 0 @ Canton, 4 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery from this game.Canton sophomore scored a pair of goals and had an assist as the Bulldogs notched a convincing win at home. Gilmore scored twice in the first half, both off of restarts. In the sixth minute, Gilmore scored an olimpico – a goal straight from a corner kick. Just 10 minutes later, she floated a free kick from 30 yards out on the left sideline into the far post for a 2-0 lead. In the second half, Gilmore set up Elisa Diletizia, who made a nice move to get free and slotted a low shot into the corner in the 42nd minute. Five minutes later, Lauren McCabe’s cross found Olivia Rodman at the back post and she blasted a shot just under the bar to make it 4-0.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Foxboro, 2 – FinalKatelyn Mollica scored once and assisted on the second goal for the Warriors, who jumped out to a 2-0 lead by halftime. The first goal came straight from a corner and the second came off a Mollica free kick that was headed home by Jordyn Collins. Alex Moulson scored her first career goal to cut the lead in half with eight minutes left off an Ashlyn Gaulin assist, but the Warriors held on for the win to keep hold of first in the Davenport division. Foxboro coach Katie Stalcup said that the defense and goalie Morgan Sylvestre had great games in the win.

Taunton, 0 @ Mansfield, 5 – Final Melissa Reef scored what turned out to be the game-winner for the Hornets and her midfield partner Bryn Anderson had a goal and two assists. Maria Sevastos added a goal and an assist, Steph Kemp had an assist, and Katie Miller scored her first career goal for the Hornets. Defender Emily Vigeant also got on the scoresheet off a Katy Garvin assist. Izzy Anslow made 12 saves for the Tigers.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalOliver Ames battled back from a goal down with a pair of second half goals to pull out the road win. Anna Tempestoso tied the game from the penalty spot and in the final minute Brianna Gibson added an “olimpico” to secure the full two points for the Tigers.

Sharon, 0 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalBrianna Buckley earned her first clean sheet of the season for the Black Knights.

Field Hockey
Stoughton, 3 vs. East Bridgewater, 0 – FinalStoughton earned a season sweep over East Bridgewater, beating the Vikings 3-0 for the second time this season. Allie Howe paced the Knights’ offense with two goals while Alanna McCormick had the other goal.

Franklin, 3 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalFranklin recorded a win o the road, knocking off Attleboro 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-11). FOr Attleboro, Jessica Matheson had eight digs and Chelsea Calcagni added six kills.

Attleboro, 182 @ Taunton, 190 – Final

Mansfield, 149 @ Oliver Ames, 148 – FinalOliver Ames’ Nolan Donze and Steve Heino both had strong outings, leading the Tigers to a one-stroke win over Mansfield. As the final pair, Donze carded a round of 36 while Heino shot 37. Thomas Walsh also added a 37 and Tate Hadges shot a 38 for Oliver Ames. Mansfield’s Jason See was the match medalist with nine pars, shooting a low-round of 34.

Sharon, 177 @ Foxboro, 169 – FinalFoxboro’s Noah Hicks earned match medalist honors with a low round of 40, helping the Warriors pick up a key division win over Sharon. Dylan Quinn added a 42 for the Warriors while Matt Hague (43) and Matt Lathrop (44) also scored for Foxboro. Sharon’s Max Brody had a team-low round of 42.

After the Eagles went up in the 45th minute, the Bombardiers quickly leveled in the 47th minute when Mike Russo scored on a breakaway on a pass from Aidan Lancaster. Eli Araujo scored the game-winner, heading in a pass from Will Halben, to give the Bombardiers two points.

Canton, 6 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalCanton senior Griffin Roach scored a first half hat trick as the Bulldogs rolled to a big win on the road at halftime. Canton built a 4-0 advantage after 40 minutes of work, and then both sides found the back of the net twice in the second half. Roach also had two assists while Paul Corcoran (goal, assist), TJ McCabe (goal assist), Colby Ciffolillo (goal), and Paolo Ruggeri (two assists) all found the scoresheet for Canton.

North Attleboro, 2 @ King Philip, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro scored once in each half while keeper Kyle Briere came up big on a pair of corner kicks as the Rocketeers blanked King Philip. Alessandro Gioria scored his first varsity goal on an assist from Alex Pfeffer, giving Big Red a 1-0 lead in the 31st minute. Late in the game, Alvaro Calvo iced the game, scoring in the 75th minute on an assist from Joe Hilf. Briere (eight saves) had his seventh shutout of the season.

Stoughton, 0 @ Mansfield, 6 – FinalStoughton sophomore goalie Nolan Gerome had a spectacular first half, keeping the Hornets scoreless for the opening 40 minutes. But Mansfield’s offense finally broke through early in the second half on its way to a 6-0 win. Luke Savoie scored a second half hat trick (46th, 52nd, and 57th minute) with Luke Devine and Dylan Buchanan earning assists. Senior Ethan Brill-Cass (from Peter Oldow), Raffi Marzella (from Evan Eames), and Sam Nugent (unassisted) each scored in the second half as well.

King Philip, 0 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalThe North Attleboro defense put in a great performance to hold the league’s top attack off the board on Monday. North coach Bill Wallace praised Liz Smahi, Lydia Hershey, Morgan Silver, Olivia Bishop, Sam Hawkins and Brie Westcott for their “smothering defense.” Goalie Emma Noreck kept the clean sheet, including a pair of great saves in the first half. Ashlyn Gaulin scored the game’s only goal late in the opening half off a Haley Ferrin assist and the defense made the goal hold up over the final 40 minutes.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Milford, 1 – FinalGabi McLaughlin scored a pair of goals to lead the Tigers to a divisional crossover win. Erin Holmberg, Lauren Sellmayer, and Lauren Picanzi also scored goals for OA, while Cassie Probert had the Milford goal. Brianna Gibson had three assists for the Tigers.


Field Hockey
Attleboro, 2 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalJillian Pagliuca scored the game-winner for the Tigers with 13 minutes remaining in the game. The winning goal was assisted by Alana Tavares. Cierra Bartel and Lauren Torres also scored for Taunton, while Anna Beck and Alex Compton had the Attleboro goals. Taunton coach Liz Hathaway said that Jocelyn Pagliuca and Kathryn Robinson also played well defensively in the win.

Franklin, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalHannah Stryke opened the scoring with 10 minutes left in the first, but Franklin scored four times over the next half hour to get control. Sarah Carney tied the game for Franklin and Victoria Quinn scored twice (both assisted by Cassi Ronan) to give Franklin a 3-1 lead. Ronan then scored unassisted in the second half to extend the advantage to 4-1. The Tigers answered back with two goals in two minutes, one by Stryke (assisted by Kayla Lozzi) and the second by Maggie Woods (assisted by Emily Dionne) to cut the lead to just one. OA kept pressuring and had several chances to tie it but the Panthers held on for the win. OA coach Sharon Lawrence praise Lozzi for her overall performance. Franklin goalie Anna Jardine made four saves in the win.

King Philip, 4 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalThe Hornets nearly made it three straight wins against King Philip (after handing the Warriors their only two losses last year), but Alli Meehan’s second goal of the game (assisted by Nicole Connor) tied the game and kept KP unbeaten this season. Lauren Craig scored the first Mansfield goal off an assist by Hayleigh Crawford. Alicia Hottleman scored the next three for the Hornets, one assisted by Maggie Danehy and the other two by Becca Hottleman. Meehan scored twice and assisted on two others for KP. Meghan MacDonald and Claire Lawlor had the other two goals for the Warriors.

Volleyball
Attleboro, 0 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalTaunton defended its home court with a 3-0 sweep (25-21, 25-12, 25-11) over visiting Attleboro. Sam Silviera had 13 kills while Mckenzie Lucie had a strong game in the back row, recording six digs, four aces, and 22 service points. Jaime Brown also had a strong game for the Tigers with 25 assists, three digs, and two aces.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCanton won 25-11, 25-22, 25-14 and head coach Pat Cawley said that the entire team contributed to the win. Nicole Brown had another solid all-around game with 16 assists, 10 digs, an ace, and a kill for the Bulldogs. Megan McDonough had 12 digs and Taylor Harris and Erin Devine each had eight kills and two blocks.

Sharon, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final

Franklin, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalOA won the opening set, but Franklin won the final three sets to stay unbeaten. The Panthers won 17-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-15. Sadie Homer set a career-high with 40 digs for OA, while Allie Kemp had 31 assists. The Tigers also got 14 kills from Jordan Bosse and seven kills and three aces from Jackie Raymond.

King Philip, 2 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalMansfield raced out to a 2-0 lead only for King Philip to storm back, winning the third set big and then edging the Hornets in a close fourth set. But the Hornets were able to close the win, earning a 16-14 win in the fifth set to get the victory (25-19, 25-17, 11-25, 24-26, 16-14). For Mansfield, Greenly Kelly had 10 kills, 10 service points, and five blocks, Olivia McGrath added 12 kills, Emily Dardinski chipped in with 11 kills, and Katie Dardinski finished with 11 service points and six digs. Catherine Waldeck led KP with 15 kills two blocks and Nicole Coughlan had a strong game, finishing with 14 kills, seven blocks, and two aces.

Milford, 2 @ Stoughton, 3 – FinalMilford rallied from a 2-0 deficit to force a fifth set but Stoughton held on to defeat the Hawks. For Stoughton, Sasha Hyacinthe had a strong game behind the line with 19 service points, Molly Turner and Mia Bennett combined for 40 digs, and Delaney Nagel and Hanna Holden each had seven kills to pace the Knights.

The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead but North Attleboro’s Joe Hilf tied the game on a cross from Gavin O’Malley. Canton tacked on two goals in the second half, finishing off a throw-in and a cross. Griffin Roach had two goals, TJ McCabe scored once, and Paul Corcoran recorded two assists for Canton.

King Philip, 1 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalMansfield senior Luke Savoie scored a pair of first half goals to help the Hornets inch closer to a playoff berth. Savoie opened the scoring just two minutes in, finishing off a throw in from Cam Eddy. Savoie then doubled the Hornets’ advantage in the 11th minute, scoring directly off a corner kick to make it 2-0. King Philip cut the deficit in half in the 62nd minute when Ian Zimmerman was able to pounce on a ball in the area after a service from Cam Lawrence. Mansfield goalie Cam Bovey made three saves in the win.

Julia Reyes scored once and assisted on another, while Jessica Gates had a pair of assists for Attleboro. Ashley Macia and Ashley Dame each scored once and Briley Harnois had an assist. Tayla Drape made three saves to keep the clean sheet.

Canton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 2 – FinalNorth Attleboro netted a pair of first half goals to defend home turf, picking up two points with a win over Canton. Kayla Pasquel scored from Lydia Santos, and Ashlyn Gaulin scored from sister Emma Gaulin for the Rocketeers. Bri Westcott and Sam Hawkins led the North Attleboro defense in front of Emma Noreck. North head coach Bill Wallace added that Haley Ferrin and Alex Moulson played excellent two way soccer at midfield.

Franklin coach Tom Geysen said that his team played well in the second half, hitting the bar several times. OA coach Britt Sellmayer noted that Brianna Gibson, Anna Tempesteoso, and Gabrielle McLaughlin all played well for the Tigers.

Sharon, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – FinalOliver Ames built a 3-0 lead at halftime and added two more in the second half to get a win over Sharon. After 20 minutes of scoreless action, sophomore Hannah Stryke scored three times over the final 10 minutes of the first half to put OA ahead. Stryke’s first two goals were assisted by Kayla Lozzi, and the third, with just under three minutes left, was set up by Georgia Costello. Haley Gilman (from Maggie Woods) and Costello (from Katherine McCarthy) scored in the second half for OA.

Volleyball
King Philip, 0 vs. Walpole, 3 – FinalKing Philip hosted Walpole on Friday afternoon but came up short, falling 3-0 to the Rebels (17-25, 18-25, 21-25). Catherine Waldeck led KP with nine kills and two blocks while Nicole Coughlhan had four kills and two blocks.

Mansfield, 1 @ Brockton, 3 – FinalMansfield grabbed a win in the first set but Brockton rallied to win the next three and the match (25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 16-25). Greenly Kelly had nine kills and nince service points, Katie Dardinski added seven digs and 12 service points, and Olivia McGrath chipped in with eight kills.

Canton, 164 @ Franklin, 167 – FinalCanton’s Thomas Singleton was the lone golfer to shoot under 40 on Friday, carding a medalist round of 39 to help the Bulldogs knock Franklin from the ranks of the unbeaten. Tommy Dimock and Mike Gobbi each shot 41 for Canton while Chris Lavoie chipped in with a 43. Matt D’Errio led the Panthers with a 40, Quinten Faro shot a 41, Gerry Collins carded a 42 and Nolan Norton finished with a 44.

Paul Corcoran converted a sliding shot in the 2nd minute to give the visitors an early advantage but Nic Beigel brought Foxboro level, converting a penalty drawn by Matt Garcia. In the second half, Simon Cruz made a nice near post run in the 59th minute and hit a one timer to make it 2-1 in favor of Canton. But just four minutes later, Beigel grabbed his second with a nicely placed shot from outside the area.

Girls Soccer
Canton, 2 @ Foxboro, 2 – FinalFoxboro built a 2-0 lead but Canton scored twice in the final 20 minutes to earn a draw. Sophomore Katelyn Mollica put the hosts up 1-0 in the 10th minute, an advantage Foxboro took into halftime. Ten minutes into the second half, Kaitryn Franchino scored her second goal in as many games to make it 2-0. But Canton scored on a penalty kick in the 62nd minute and tied the game in the 71st minute to earn a point on the road.

Taunton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 9 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s Ashlyn Gaulin recorded four points and sister Emma Gaulin had three points as the Rocketeers rolled at home. Ashlyn Gaulin scored three goals and had one assist while Emma Gaulin scored once and had two helpers. Olivia Bishop, Lauren Pezzi, Lexi Sinacola, Tess Collins, and Emma Noreck all scored once for North Attleboro.

Alana Tavares scored both goals in the first half to give the Tigers the lead. Seniors Lauren Torres and Cierra Bartel each scored once in the second half for Taunton while Emma Sheehan made five saves in goal. THS head coach Liz Hathaway said Jillian Pagliuca, Jocelyn Pagliuca, and Kathryn Robinson all played well for the Tigers.

Oliver Ames, 2 vs. West Bridgewater, 1 – FinalOliver Ames scored once in each half to pick up a win over West Bridgewater. The Tigers had 13 corners and peppered the West Bridgewater net with 21 shots. Meaghan Rockey scored OA’s first goal on an assist from Maggie Woods. Rockey then set Maura Kiernan up for the game-winning goal at the midway point of the second half.

Boys Cross Country
Ocean State InvitationalMansfield’s Patrick Heavey earned a third place finish to help the Hornets take a third overall as a team. Heavey clocked in at 16:33.8 for third while Paxton Howard (17:30.9, 38th), Mike Mullahy (17:31.5, 40th), and Cullen Lancaster (17:32.3, 42nd) all had top 50 finishes for the Hornets. Oliver Ames was fifth as a team led by Zane Reservitz’s (16:51.1) 10th place finish and Rory McLaughlin’s (16:54.9) 12th place finish. North Attleboro senior Liam Monahan was 11th overall, crossing the finish line at 16:54.7. In the other varsity race, Foxboro’s Ryan Proulx finished in 17:33.1, taking 22nd overall.

Girls Cross Country
Ocean State InvitationalFoxboro had two runners finish in the top 10 of the Division 1 Varsity race, helping the Warriors earn a fourth place finish. Junior Abby Hassman was fourth overall at 19:28.4 while senior Lexi Quinn took seventh at 19:34.5. Lindsey Nelson was the third Warrior to cross, taking 17th overall in 20:41.4. In the Division 2 Varsity race, Mansfield girls were 20th overall. Senior Margaret Riley (20:50.3) and sophomore Tessa Lancaster (20:51.7) took 43rd and 44th respectively. North Attleboro was 22nd overall with junior Olivia Forbes having the top time, taking 80th in 21:41.1. Attleboro junior Shea Jamieson had the top finish of any Hockomock runner, clocking in at 20:41.1 for 37th.
