Milford, 39 @ Taunton, 73 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery of this game.Taunton opened with a 22-point first quarter and started the second quarter on a 15-0 run to create plenty of separation in a win over visiting Milford. Junior Trent Santos scored all nine of his points in the opening quarter as the Tigers staked a 22-14 lead after one. Both Josh Lopes (16 points, five rebounds, five assists) and Isiah Seldon (nine points, five rebounds) scored five points as Taunton pulled away with a 15-0 spurt over the first six minutes of the second. Nigel Choate added 12 points off the bench for the hosts while Tyler Stewart finished with 11 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Darling led the Hawks with nine points.

Mansfield, 51 @ Franklin, 44 – FinalMansfield set the tone defensively in the first quarter and then held off a late surge from Franklin to earn a season sweep over the Panthers. The Hornets limited the hosts to four points in the first quarter and carried a 25-14 lead into halftime. Mansfield’s advantage grew to 37-25 going into the final frame before the Panthers got going and clawed back into it, cutting the lead down to 47-42 with under two minutes to go but Mansfield held on for the win. Senior Matt Boen had a team-high 16 points, seven rebounds, and four steals, Jack Colby added 11 points and nine rebounds, Matt Hyland had nine points and six boards, and Brendan Foley chipped in with eight points and 10 rebounds.

Foxboro, 42 @ North Attleboro, 31 – FinalAfter being held to just 25 points through three quarters, Foxboro exploded for 17 in the fourth to pull out the road win. Both teams played tough defense through three quarters, with the Warriors holding a slim 25-24 lead, but Foxboro found the range and secured the season sweep. Katelyn Mollica and Erin Foley both scored a dozen points for the Warriors. Lydia Santos topped North’s scorers with nine points, while Ava McKeon and Siobhan Weir each scored seven.

Franklin, 63 @ Mansfield, 47 – FinalFranklin jumped out to a 15-3 lead after one quarter and never allowed the Hornets to climb back into the game to stay perfect on the season. Olivia Quinn was the leading scorer for the Panthers for the eighth time in eight games, finishing with 20 points. Elizabeth Wilson had a season-high 16 in the win. Ashley Santos (14 points) and Kayla Vine (11) both hit double digits for the Hornets.

Taunton, 30 @ Milford, 38 – FinalThe Hawks used a good defensive performance and strong third quarter to earn a second straight win against the Tigers. The game was tied at 8-8 after the first quarter, but Milford pulled ahead by three heading into halftime. Milford outscored the Tigers 12-5 in the third (with all 12 points coming from the three-point line) to stretch the lead to double digits. Taunton won the fourth, 11-9, but it wasn’t enough to make a comeback. Emma Lawrence knocked down four of Milford’s nine threes and finished with a game-high 12 points. Brooke Ferreira added 10 points and Jillian Michelson had nine. Sonya Fernandez paced the Tigers with nine points.

Boys Hockey
Mansfield, 1 @ Franklin, 7 – FinalFranklin exploded for six goals in the second half to skate away with a big win over Mansfield. The Hornets opened the scoring but Justin Abely leveled the scoring on a power play chance with Dylan Marchand and Declan Lovett recording assists. In the second half, Dom Lampasona scored a pair of goals while JT Dwyer, Ben Jarosz, Adam Quinn, and Marchand scored once. Lovett, Marchand, Ryan Sicchio, and Joe LeBlanc all finished with two assists in the win while Gary Mandia made 15 saves in net.

Boys Basketball
Milford, 38 @ Attleboro, 47 – FinalAttleboro staked a lead through a quarter of action and overcame a poor free throw shooting night (10/24) to earn a win. Senior Justin Daniels netted nine of his team-high 14 points in the opening quarter to help the Bombardiers get off to a strong start. The Bombardiers got key three-pointers in each quarter to help key the Hawks at bay. Sophomore Trevor White (10 points) in the second, Evan Houle (eight points) and Alec Eaton (six points) in the third, and Houle again in the fourth. White added six points in the final frame for Attleboro, who led 21-16 at halftime and 32-24 after three quarters. Milford senior Ben Blanchard scored all of his team-high eight points in the first half.

Sharon, 50 @ Canton, 49 – FinalSharon junior Will Hippler stepped in and drew a charge with 0.3 seconds left to secure a win on the road for the Eagles. Senior Matt Baskin sank a pair of free throws with 7.5 seconds left to put Sharon ahead. Canton had to go the length of the court but Hippler helped off his man, got into position and drew the charge to win the game. The Eagles built a double-digit lead by halftime (22-11) but Canton had a big third quarter, sparked by eight points from Lanse Dorcelus (11 points) and seven points from Steve Burbank (11 points) to get within three, 38-35, going into the fourth. Eric Mischler scored six of his team-high 15 points in the fourth to help Canton seize a lead, going up 48-45 late after a pair of free throws. Hippler also hit a key three in the fourth quarter while Baskin finished with a season-high 20 points, including 13 in the second half. Kiran Chandrasekaran chipped in with 11 points for the Eagles.

Girls Basketball
Attleboro, 55 @ Milford, 33 – FinalThe Bombardiers pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring Milford 19-9 in the frame, to secure a second straight win over the Hawks to open the season. Meghan Gordon followed up her career-high on Tuesday with 19 points to pace Attleboro. Gabby Bosh also hit double digits, scoring 11, and Emma Reilly added nine points. Kayla Goldrick chipped in with eight. Attleboro coach Marty Crowley said, “It was great to go on the road and pick up a win.” Emma Lawrence led Milford with eight points and Brooke Ferreira and Emily Croteau each had six for Milford, which kept the game close through three quarter on senior night.

Canton, 62 @ Sharon, 19 – FinalThe Bulldogs jumped out to a 20-1 lead after one quarter and extended the lead to 27 by halftime, rolling to a third win of the season behind a strong defensive performance. Kiara Cerruti powered Canton to its early lead, scoring 11 of her game-high 19 points and knocking down three of her five three-pointers in the first. Sydney Gallery scored 13 and Fay Gallery added 10. Tayla DeGraw chipped in with eight points for the Bulldogs. Sharon was led by Trinity Payne’s seven points.

King Philip, 31 @ Franklin, 66 – FinalFranklin picked up a big win over one of the contenders for the Kelley-Rex crown. Olivia Quinn scored in double digits for the third straight game, finishing with a game-high 18. Kayleigh Houlihan and Brigid Earley each had a dozen points in the win. Jackie Bonner scored 10 points and Cat Spellman added eight points for KP.

North Attleboro, 50 @ Stoughton, 17 – FinalFor the second night in a row North got off to a great start and earned a sweep of Stoughto. After scoring the first 23 points on Wednesday, the Rocketeers went into halftime on Thursday leading 28-3 thanks to its high pressure defense. Eleven players scored for North. Amanda Kaiser and Summer Doherty both scored 14 points and Kaiser added 11 rebounds. Taylor McMath had a solid game on the block, scoring six points and grabbing eight boards.

Girls Soccer
King Philip, 4 @ Milford, 2 – FinalElla Pisani’s hat trick helped the Warriors rally from a one-goal deficit and pull out the road win. Pisani scored once in each of the last three quarters, with Ava Tormey, Charlotte Majer, and Paige Varvarigos recording the assists. She also assisted on Majer’s second quarter goal, as KP came back from a 1-0 deficit at the first break. Dani Atherton scored both goals for the Hawks, putting Milford ahead in the first and adding one in the third quarter that kept it a one-goal game heading to the final 20 minutes, before Pisani’s third of the day sealed the points for the visitors. Catherine Madden and Brooke Ferreira had the assists for Milford and head coach Lou Colabello said that Brianna Franzini played well in the loss.

Field Hockey
Mansfield, 2 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final

North Attleboro, 0 @ Canton, 7 – Final

Foxboro, 5 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalFreshman Valerie Beigel and sophomore Dylan Rappoli each scored twice as the Warriors went on the road and earned a win over Stoughton. Freshman Mary Collins also scored in the Warriors’ win while Haley Nelson found the back of the net for the Black Knights.

Franklin, 6 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalFranklin scored all six goals in the second half, including four in the fourth quarter, to pull away from Taunton. The teams battled through a scoreless first half before the Panthers broke through just over a minute into the third. Amanda Lewandowski opened the scoring with an unassisted strike, adding two more in the fourth quarter for a hat trick. Kaitlyn Carney scored to make it 2-0 in the third quarter and Stephanie Bell tacked on two fourth quarter goals. Natalie Blasie had a standout play defensively, preserving the shutout for Franklin.

King Philip, 8 @ Milford, 2 – FinalKing Philip senior Grace Crocker led all scorers with her first hat trick with three different players setting her up for assists in a win over Milford. Isabell Crocker, Emma Naggar, and Charlotte Raymond each recorded an assist to Crocker while Paige Berdos added a pair of goals for KP. Kelly Holmes, Margo Riley, and Abby Nixon each found the back of the net once while senior Maddie Paradis picked up her second straight win in goal.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalOliver Ames scored twice in the first quarter and that held up the rest of the way as the Tigers picked up a win on the road. Haley Gilman (from Maggie Woods) opened the scoring just over five minutes in and freshman Erin Cottam (from Lily Gaskill) doubled the lead with just under three minutes left in the opening quarter. Haley Gilman and Ava Costello had strong performances for OA.

Golf
Mansfield, 145 @ Attleboro, 168 – FinalMansfield earned a win on the road at Stone-E-Lea to stay unbeaten in division action, setting up a two-match showdown against Franklin for next week. Ryan Dow led the way for the Hornets (8-0 in Kelley-Rex), firing a match-medalist round of 35. Nate Morreale and Joe Gormley each chipped in with a pair 36’s while Ryan Doherty carded a 38 in the win.

Oliver Ames, 169 @ Sharon, 175 – FinalOliver Ames senior Kosta Spiliakos earned match medalist honors, lead the Tigers to a close win on the road over Sharon. Spiliakos shot a match-low round of 39 while classmate Logan Domenico added a 41 in the win. Junior Jake Kaplan added a round of 44 and freshman Sean Kearns added a 45 for OA. Sharon’s Nathan Daley had a team low score of 40, Eric Carter added a 44, James Spoto chipped in with a 45, and Noah Glassman finished with a 46.

Milford, 32 vs. Hopedale, 29 – FinalFreshman Brooke Ferreira scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Hawks to their third non-league victory of the season. Jillian Michelson added six points, while Emily Croteau (13 rebounds) and Carley Ferreira (11 rebounds) dominated the glass.

Girls Hockey
Franklin, 7 @ Leominster, 0 – FinalFranklin scored four goals in the first period and never looked back in a big win on the road over Leominster. Freshman Molly Hurley (from Katelyn Brown and Maggie McCaffrey) and sophomore Emma Hunt each scored once in the first period while junior Katelyn Brown scored a pair of goals. Shaw Downing, Samantha Wong, Maggie McCaffrey, and Hurley had assists on Brown’s two goals. Libby Carter, Maddi Dolan, and Olivia Stoller also scored in the win for Franklin while Kelli Maple had a pair of assists. Gabby Colace made 16 saves for the shutout.

King Philip, 6 @ Walpole, 2 – FinalMakenzie Shandley and Morgan Cunningham each scored a pair of goals to lead the Warriors to a big win on the road. Sydney O’Shea and Avari Maxwell each scored once in the win.

Mansfield. 141.85 @ Franklin, 139.15 – FinalFranklin posted its best score in program history but came up just short against powerhouse Mansfield in a clash of two of the top programs in the league.

King Philip, 56 @ Canton, 32 – FinalCanton raced out to a 10-0 lead but it was all King Philip after that, the Warriors taking a lead by the end of the first quarter and pushing it to double figures by halftime. After an even third quarter, KP limited the Bulldogs to just three points in the fourth to finish the game strong. Seniors Chris Roy (12 points) and Owen Conlin each hit a pair of threes in the opening quarter to help KP rebound from the early deficit. Senior Alex Fritz scored 11 of his team-high 19 points in the second quarter to help his side build the lead.

Franklin, 56 @ Stoughton, 53 – FinalTrailing 40-29 after three quarters, Stoughton rallied to get within one possession but the Black Knights couldn’t find the tying bucket before the buzzer. Senior Obinna Ugwuakazi scored nine of his team-high 20 points in the third while Ahmad Jahed (eight points), Jake Queeney (seven points) and Brett Pendenza all hit threes in the fourth to give the Black Knights a chance at the upset. Franklin senior Chris Edgehill scored eight of his 12 points in the final quarter to help keep the Panthers ahead. Stoughton grabbed the offensive rebound after missing the mark on a shot to tie the game but the buzzer sounded before their second shot was released. Jack Rudolph scored 12 of his team-high 15 points in the first half as Franklin led 35-24 at the break.

Taunton, 78 @ Sharon, 60 – FinalSharon stayed within striking distance for a half but Taunton’s offense scored over 20 points in each the third and fourth quarters to pull away with a win on the road. The Tigers held a 17-9 lead after one and a 35-27 lead at the break before scoring 21 points in the third to create a double-digit advantage. Sophomore Trent Santos scored eight of his career-high 22 points in the third quarter, hitting a pair of three-pointers. Junior Josh Lopes added half of his 14 points in the third and junior Tyler Stewart scored 10 of his 18 points in the second half to help the Tigers pull away. Sharon senior Aidan Kane hit seven three-pointers on his way to a game-high 23 points.




Girls Basketball
North Attleboro, 51 @ Attleboro, 46 – FinalNorth went into the fourth quarter with a nine-point lead (39-30), but the Bombardiers stormed back to tie the game at 46-46. Amanda Kaiser (11 points) buried a clutch three-pointer in the final minute and North tacked on two more to secure the rivalry win. Eliza Dion led the way for the Rocketeers with 13 points and head coach Nikki Correia praised point guard Olivia Forbes for taking care of the ball all night. Meghan Gordon had a game-high 14 for the Bombardiers and Nyah Thomas added 12. North led 16-11 after the first quarter and built the lead to double digits in the second only for Attleboro to go on a 6-0 run to close out the half at 28-23. North adjusted its defense at halftime to push the lead back up to nine. Correia said, “The girls really did a good job on executing the game plan. A few mental breakdowns but again we were able to play through it.”

Canton, 75 @ King Philip, 77 – FinalIn a back-and-forth game, Canton had a chance to tie it but a last-second shot stayed out and the Warriors walked away with the narrow win. Kiara Cerruti scored a season-high 22 points to pace the Bulldogs. Fay Gallery scored 16 and Sydney Gallery had 14 points, while freshman Samya DaSilva set a new career-high for the second game in a row, scoring 14 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.

Stoughton, 31 @ Franklin, 77 – FinalFranklin continued its unbeaten season with a big win over a shorthanded Black Knights squad. Ali Brigham and Olivia Quinn each scored 16 points to lead the Panthers and Kaliegh Houlihan chipped in with 11. Shyanne Trinh was the top scorer for Stoughton with 12.

Milford, 35 @ Mansfield, 59 – FinalThe Hornets scored 41 points over the second and third quarters to break the game open and secure the win. Kayla Vine scored a career-high 20 points to lead Mansfield. Ashley Santos added 12 points and Becca Hottleman scored eight in the win. The Hornets made 11 three-pointers as a team. Jillian Michelson, Emma Lawrence, and freshman Brooke Ferreira each scored seven points for the Hawks, who continued to battle in the second half and outscored Mansfield 9-7 in the fourth quarter.

Sharon, 39 @ Taunton, 32 – FinalThe Eagles won on the road for the second time in three days. Kaitlyn Wallace scored 13 points to lead the way, while Ally Brown scored nine and Trinity Payne added six.

Attleboro, 166.5 @ Braintree, 125.6 – FinalAttleboro’s Andrae Butler took first in five of the six events, cruising to first in all-around action (48.4) as the Bombardiers landed a big win over Braintree. Butler took first on the floor, the pommel horse, the highbar, the parallel bars, and the vault while placing second on the rings. Attleboro’s Shawn Trombley, who was second in the all-around with a 41.1, finished top three in four events.
