#3 Franklin, 62 vs. #6 Westford Academy, 60 – Final – Freshman Jay Dieterle tied a career-high with 24 points to pace the Panthers’ offense. Senior Kevin Gill broke the tie with a layup with 15 seconds to play. Senior Tim Prunier had 12 points and also came away with a big steal in the final minutes to prevent an easy basket from WA. Franklin will play #7 Framingham on Saturday at 5:00 at WPI.
Girls Basketball
D1 South
#4 Attleboro, 32 vs. #5 Wellesley, 43 – Final

#6 Mansfield, 40 @ #3 Newton South, 37 – FinalMeg Hill had a career-high 24 points for the Hornets. Jackie Carchedi added nine points for Mansfield and Caroline Maher hit two clutch free throws in the closing seconds. Mansfield will face No. 2 seed Bishop Feehan in the D1 South semifinal.
D2 South
#15 North Attleboro, 46 @ #2 Oliver Ames, 47 – Final – The Tigers host No. 7 seed Notre Dame Academy on Saturday.

#6 Foxboro, 75 vs. #11 O’Bryant, 28 – Final – Cassidy Harrison led a balanced offensive attack with a team-high 15 points, Ashley Sampson and Grace Tamulionis each had 13 points and Hailey Maling added 12 points. The Warriors travel to No. 3 seed Falmouth on Saturday.

#6 Mansfield, 72 vs. #11 Brockton, 38 – FinalThe Hornets, who jumped out to a 15-0 in the first quarter, were led by sophomore center Meg Hill, who finished with 16 points and eight rebounds. Jackie Carchedi chipped in with 15 points and eight rebounds and Caroline Maher added nine points. Mansfield advances to face No. 3 seed Newton South on Thursday.

Boys Basketball
Mansfield, 75 vs. Cohasset, 52 – Final – Junior Matt Ehrlich connected on six three pointers en route to a career-high 30 points. The Hornets tied a program record with 15 three point field goals. Sophomore Tyler Boulter added 15 points and Max Boen had 11 points. 
Girls Basketball
Oliver Ames, 69 vs. Brockton, 42 – Final – Kaitlyn McCarthy led all scorers with 21 points and was named MVP of the Norwell Invitational tournament. Junior Niyera Mitchell had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Francesca Calabraro scored 12 points and was named to the all-tournament team.
Mansfield, 50 vs. Dartmouth, 32 – Final – Mansfield held a 20 point lead at halftime and cruised to win the Roundball Classic. Julianna Newell was named the tournament’s MVP while Caroline Maher – who broke the program record with her 134 career three pointers – was named a tournament all star.
Milford, 52 @ Taconic, 33 – Final – Kate Irwin led the Scarlet Hawks with 13 points and Nicole Dahlgren added 12 points in the win. 
Stoughton, 54 vs. Whitman-Hanson, 56 – Final
Hockey
Taunton, 4 @ Attleboro, 6 – FinalTaunton scored three goals in the second period to take the lead in the game that was restarted with Attleboro ahead 2-1. The Bombardiers scored four times in the third to pull out the win. P.J. Elliott and Sam Larkin each scored two goals and had two assists for Attleboro, which also got goals from Jake Parker and Mitchell Caruso. Taunton goals were scored by Kyle Smith, Nick Terry, Tyler Pietrzyk, and Dylan Nichols.
Canton, 2 vs. Medfield, 3 – Final (SO) The game counts as a tie for MIAA purposes. Jim Jenkins opened the scoring in the first period and Jackson Maffeo made it 2-0 in the second, both assisted by Shaun Kirby. Medfield scored two goals in the second to tie it and the game stayed tied through the third period and two overtimes. The Warriors won 2-1 in the shootout to claim the Joe Quinn Tournament title. Justin Slocum made 30 saves in the loss. 
Franklin, 2 vs. Marshfield, 3 – Final (OT) – The game counts as a tie for MIAA purposes.
Girls Hockey
Franklin, 4 vs. Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake, 2 – Final – Franklin scored four goals in the third period to rally for a win.

Monday’s Schedule & Scoreboard – 02/15/16

Boys Basketball
Attleboro, 45 @ Dartmouth, 58 – Final Berlyns Abraham led the Bombardiers with 12 points and five boards while Lucas Boucicaut added 11 points and Jake Dunkley chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.
Foxboro, 53 vs. Marlborough, 54 – Final – Marlboro converted two free throws with 12.9 seconds to play to take the lead and the win. Senior Alex DuBrow finished with a team-high 18 points while classmate Jason Procaccini added 15 points for the Warriors. 
Franklin, 74 vs. Brighton, 83 – Final – Tim Prunier scored a team-high 22 points and was named to the Comcast/Arbella All Tournament team. Paul Mahon added 15 points, Connor Goldstein scored 13 points and Kevin Gill finished with 11 points.
Mansfield, 69 vs. Weymouth, 42 – Final – Mansfield was led by senior Kyle Swansburg, who scored 14 points. Tyler Boulter added 12 points and Matt Ehrlich had eight for the Hornets, who broke the game open with a 13-2 run to close out the third quarter. The Hornets, who had 13 players score on Monday, will face Cohasset in the Round Ball Classic final on Thursday.
Milford, 54 vs. Lexington, 40 – Final – A strong second half helped Milford turn a one point lead at halftime into a double-digit win. Dwight Anderson notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds while sophomore Kayden Kelley scored 10 points and hauled in 16 rebounds for a double-double as well. Zach Tamagni chipped in with 13 points. Milford advances to the finals of the 1st Annual Scarlet Hawks Classic to play Tantasqua at 7:00 on Tuesday.
North Attleboro, 62 @ Bishop Feehan, 60 – Final – With just over two minutes to play, Ridge Olsen drained a three as the shot clock expired to give the Rocketeers a 58-57 lead. With a minute to play, Mario Bresko got to the rim to go up 60-57. North Attleboro hit a pair of three throws down the stretch to close the game and hand Feehan its first loss of the season. Olsen finished with 17 points and Bresko had 15 points while junior Brent Doherty scored a team-high 19 points. 
Oliver Ames, 60 vs. Cardinal Spellman, 64 – Final – Junior Dylan Mahoney netted a team-high 15 points while classmate Carter Evin added 14 points and Nick Welch finished with 13 points.
Sharon, 62 vs. Belmont, 63 – Final
Taunton, 80 vs. New Bedford, 69 – Final
Girls Basketball
Canton, 53 vs. Norton, 37 – Final – Emma Murphy led the Bulldogs with a team-high 14 points, Meg Hunter added 11 points and Hannah Jerrier chipped in with 10 points.
Foxboro, 69 vs. Ursuline Academy, 36 – Final – Ashley Sampson led the way with 12 points and Shannon Smally chipped in with nine points for the Warriors. Foxboro will play Hanover on Tuesday night at 6:30 in the tournament finals.
Mansfield, 51 vs. Walpole, 39 – Final – The Hornets finished the game on a 10-0 run to pull out the win. Caroline Maher led Mansfield with 11 points, including six in the fourth. Juliana Newell added 10 for the Hornets while Jen Peel had six points and six assists. Mansfield will play Dartmouth in the final on Thursday.
North Attleboro, 40 vs. Bishop Feehan, 50 – Final – The Rocketeers led Feehan 20-18 at the half. Emily Peters was the top scorer for North with 10 points and Samantha Taggart added nine.

Taunton, 38 @ New Bedford, 28 – Final – Senior Alyssa Gibson led Taunton with 14 points, sophomore Hanna Moniz chipped in with eight points and senior Jordan Wade added six points for the Tigers.

Mansfield, 3 vs. Lincoln-Sudbury, 3 – Final – Mansfield lost in a shootout for the tournament’s purpose but the game finishes as a tie in the MIAA standings.

Boys Basketball
Taunton, 61 @ Attleboro, 64 – Final – A back and forth fourth quarter ended with a big three from Jake Dunkley and a key free throw as the Bombardiers scored their first win over Taunton since Valentine’s Day 2013. Dunkley finished with a game-high 20 points while Kyle Murphy, Andrew Milliken and Lucas Boucicaut each had 12 points. Carlos Borrero led Taunton with 17 points while Jose Mercado added 13 points. 

Sharon, 59 @ Canton, 50 – Final

Oliver Ames, 39 @ Foxboro, 47- Final – Jason Procaccini’s 15 points was a game-high as Foxboro grinded to a win to clinch at least a share of the Davenport division title. It marks the program’s first ever Davenport title and first league title since 2003. Charlie Ryan had 12 points for Oliver Ames. 

Mansfield, 55 @ Franklin, 51 – Final – Franklin rallied from a 15 point second half deficit to get within two in the final minutes but a big shot from Mansfield’s Matt Ehrlich and key stops sealed the win for the Hornets. Tyler Boulter had a team-high 12 points while Sam Goldberg had 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Matt Ehrlich (four rebounds, four assists) and Christian Weber each had nine points, Nick Baskin had six and Max Boen had five points and four assists. Franklin sophomore Connor Peterson scored 21 points and hauled in nine rebounds while freshman Jay Dieterle netted 18 points. 
King Philip, 38 @ North Attleboro, 49 – Final – Mario Bresko led the Rocketeers with 12 points.
Stoughton, 53 @ Milford, 59 – Final – Dimitry Torres once again led the way for the Scarlet Hawks, dropping in a game-high 21 points. Zack Tamagni added 13 points while Anthony Arcudi chipped in with 19 points. Dwight Anderson had nine points and 10 rebounds while Kayden Kelley added 10 rebounds. Stoughton sophomore Cam Andrews had a team-high 18 points. 
Girls Basketball
Canton, 43 @ Sharon, 67 – FinalCharlotte Ransom scored 19 points and six rebounds for Sharon. The Eagles also got a career-high 18 points from Emma Eberhardt and 16 points and five rebounds from Alyssa Piazza.
Foxboro, 40 @ Oliver Ames, 55 – FinalNiyera Mitchell came off the bench for OA to score 15 points and pull down 17 rebounds, both of which were game highs. Kayla Raymond added 11 points and 10 rebounds and Francesca Calabraro scored 11. Ashley Sampson was the top scorer for Foxboro with 15 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, and Cassidy Harrison added 12.
Franklin, 38 @ Mansfield, 44 – FinalMeg Hill and Caroline Maher led the way for Mansfield with 12 points apiece. Lauren Rudolph was the top scorer for Franklin with eight points.
North Attleboro, 60 @ King Philip, 35 – FinalCaroline Collard and Ashley Ahern each scored 13 points for the Rocketeers. Riley Dalzell led the Warriors with 13 points.
Milford, 59 @ Stoughton, 41 – Final – Christine Pye was the top scorer for the Hawks with 14 points, while Jill Powers chipped in with 10.
Attleboro, 63 @ Taunton, 30 – FinalEmily Houle scored 31 points to lead the Bombardiers and is now only 21 points away from 1,000 for her career.

Ryan Sullivan tied a career-high with 16 points, Brandon Teixeira had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds and Elson Lopes added 11 points and five assists. North Attleboro’s Jonny Friberg had a career-high 23 points and added 13 points while Brent Doherty had 20 points. 
Girls Basketball
Milford, 29 @ Mansfield, 56 – FinalCaroline Maher led the Hornets with 14 points, while Olivia Broyles added a career-high 12 points. Katie Irwin was the top scorer for the Hawks with 11 points.
Stoughton, 26 @ North Attleboro, 45 – FinalSamantha Taggart and Caroline Collard were the top scorers for North with nine points apiece. Ashley Ahern added seven and Emily Schromm six points for the Rocketeers, while Emily Peters chipped in with 13 rebounds.
