Attleboro, 2 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Attleboro scored early in the opening quarter and added a key insurance goal early in the final quarter to earn a win on the road at Taunton. Marley Young opened the scoring just under four minutes into the game, taking a pass from Siobhan Landers and finding the back of the net to establish a 1-0 lead. After back-to-back scoreless quarters, Stella Krawiec scored off of a pass from Young less than five minutes into the fourth to make it 2-0. “I’m really proud of the girls for playing their game and using great passing skills around an aggressive Taunton team,” said Attleboro head coach Jess Pink. Attleboro’s Siany Ortez made seven saves in net for the shutout.
Franklin, 10 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Franklin came out of the gate flying with five first quarter goals and never let up on its way to a win over the Rocketeer. Kaitlyn Carney was nearly unstoppable, scoring four of her five goals in the opening 15 minutes of play while Emily Carney had the other goal. Haley Wernig, Shaw Downing, Ella Aldred, and Sydney Rogan also scored for the Panthers. North scored just past the midway point of the second as Caroline Folan scored off of an assist from Francesca Spencer. Julia Puccio orchestrated the goal by knocking down a Franklin aerial and started the counter with Spencer. Gracie Leary (six saves) and Eman Farid (12 saves) played well in net for North. Devon Barry and Megan Sullivan each made three saves for Franklin.
King Philip, 8 @ Milford, 0 – Final – King Philip juniors Mara Boldy and Kelly Holmes each recorded four points to help the Warriors earn a big win on the road over Milford. Boldy scored a hat trick and had one assist while Holmes found the back of the net once and notched three assists. Meg Dowling added two goals, Nikki McDonald scored once and added one helper, and Makenzie McDevitt added a goal for KP.
Sharon, 0 @ Mansfield, 4 – Final – Mansfield got off to a great start with four goals in the opening half and that was enough to earn a win over visiting Sharon. Rose Maher opened the scoring less than a minute into the game, converting a pass from Ava Adams at the 56-second mark to make it 1-0. Lola Varricchione (from Danni Cuzzi) and Maher added to Mansfield’s lead with first quarter goals while Liv Barry made it 4-0, finishing off a pass from Ella Palanza in the second quarter. Lily Danehy earned the shutout in net for the hosts.

Canton, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Canton came storming back to win the third set to keep the match going, but Oliver Ames closed it out with a hard-fought fourth set to take a 3-1 (25-16, 25-19, 11-25, 25-20) win over the Bulldogs. OA senior Maddie Homer recorded 31 digs to eclipse the 1,000-dig mark for her career. Sophomore Clare Kavoulis dished out 37 assists, junior Sarah Hilliard landed 18 kills, and senior Courtney Raymond recorded 27 service points to go along with eight aces and five kills. Jess Wright and Sally Hoban combined for 17 kills, 16 digs, and five aces while Liana Lamparelli played well for the Bulldogs with 11 digs, three aces, and a pair of kills.

King Philip, 3 @ Milford, 0 – Final – King Philip bounced back into the win column in a big way, earning an emphatic 3-0 (25-15, 25-6, 25-19) win on the road at Milford. Senior middle Emily Sawyer landed a team-high 17 kills along with a pair of aces and a pair of bocks, senior Ahunna James recorded 11 kills and eight digs, senior Sami Shore added five kills, and senior Olivia O’Neil had five kills and four digs. Junior Ava Kelley chipped in with eight digs for KP.
Sharon, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – After running away with the first set, Mansfield prevailed in a very competitive second set that went down to the wire and went on to finish the match in the third for a 3-0 (25-8, 26-24, 25-12) win over Sharon. Lilly Verheggen (three aces) led a balanced offense for the Hornets with eight kills while Elyssa Buchanan added seven kills, Lily Campbell added six kills, and Lexie Scibilia chipped in with five kills and seven blocks. Jackie Zelic anchored the defense with 14 digs, Ella Mahoney (six aces) and Gabrielle Moore (five aces) both had strong games serving, and Keira Fitzpatrick orchestrated the offense with 14 assists.

Oliver Ames, 8 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames sophomore Casey Milliken recorded a hat trick less than 15 minutes into the game to lead the Tigers to a big win on the road. Milliken finished with five goals on the day and added one assist for OA, who staked a 4-0 lead at halftime. Mike MacAdam, Mike Morais, and Jake Williams each scored once in the win. Ryan Linhares notched two assists while Jason Zalis, Joey Carney, and Andrew Martins each had one assist.
Sharon, 2 @ Canton, 1 – Final – Sharon senior Adam Eastman scored a beautiful goal in the second half to give the Eagles a crucial two points on the road at Canton. Rishi Shetty opened the scoring for the visitors, finishing off a service from Miguel Vasconcelos for the lone tally of the first half. Canton senior Jake McCabe buried the equalizer early in the second half but Eastman’s free kick to the upper 90 proved to be the difference. Rhys Davis anchored an outstanding defensive effort by the Eagles and senior Matt Baur had a strong outing in net.
King Philip, 1 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – Franklin turned it up a notch in the second half and exploded for four goals after the break to take a big win on the road and stay two points clear in the Kelley-Rex division title race. Sophomore Garrett Scagliarini recorded his first assists to junior Michael Fernandez-Martin for the only goal of the opening half. After the break, Trey Lovell scored a pair of goals — the first assists by Max Tobin and the second by Scagliarini, while Fernandez-Martin grabbed an assist to Wyatt Herndon. Noah Cain (from Josh Dunlop) capped the scoring for the hosts.

Freshman Tatum O’Brien recorded four points to lead the Bombardiers to a big win that pulls them back to .500 on the season. O’Brien opened the scoring in the first half, cutting in from the right wing and firing a left-footed shot into the top corner. A few minutes later, O’Brien doubled the lead cutting in from the opposite win. Jamie Davies made it 3-0 for the hosts before the break, running in behind the Milford defense and poking the ball past the onrushing keeper. Milford kept pressing in the second half. Serena Borges hit the bar with a free kick and Dani Atherton’s run down the right and cross into the middle picked out Ava Baglione but the freshman’s shot slammed back off the bar. The Hawks got on the board and with the same combo, Atherton from the right finding Baglione who took a touch in the six, turned, and scored. Attleboro finished the game with a flurry. O’Brien played a ball into the middle for classmate Jordyn Riley and she clipped a first-time shot over the keeper with the outside of her foot. O’Brien wrapped up her hat trick with a left-footed shot that snuck into the bottom corner.
Mansfield, 1 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final – Meghan McCann scored the game’s only goal in the final three minutes of the first half and it was enough for the Hornets to split the season series with the Warriors. Alexandra Fernandes assisted on the goal. Olivia Salisbury came through with a save on a Foxboro breakaway late in the second half to preserve the win.
Franklin, 2 @ King Philip, 1 – Final – KP had a strong first half but was unable to find a way through Franklin goalie Rachel Welch, who made a series of big saves. The Panthers were able to turn things around a little after the break and scored twice to split the season series and move three points clear of the Warriors in the division. Alli Powderly scored the opening goal for Franklin, finishing an assist from Selene Hammad. Anya Zub headed in a long free kick from Norah Anderson for what turned out to be the game-winner. KP pulled one back with five minutes to play. Mikayala Thompson scored off an assist from Rachel DeFlaminis.
North Attleboro, 4 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – North Attleboro scored less than a minute into the second half to double its lead and tacked on two more in the final half hour of play to get a win on the road. Emma Pratt cleaned up a rebound off of a shot from Caroline McKenna to give the visitors the advantage in the 7th minute, a lead the Rocketeers carried into halftime. In the opening minute of the second half, Clara Giuliano converted a cross from Grace Norack to make it 2-0. McKenna then set up Amelia Maier in the 50th minute, and Haley Sinacola capped the scoring by heading in a cross from Sophia Bostock in the 76th minute. Cali Melo, Ava Uhl, and Juliana Matos has strong performances for the Tigers. Goalie Hayleigh Porter made 10 saves in the loss.
Stoughton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final – After the Tigers edged the first meeting by a goal, the two teams played out a scoreless draw in the game at Muscato Stadium. The draw ended OA’s 10-game win streak that went back to the season opener at Franklin. Jenna Nelson, Molly Capace, and Sophia Byron all had strong games for the Tigers.
Canton, 2 @ Norwood, 0 – Final
North Attleboro, 3 @ Dartmouth, 1 – Final – North staked a one-goal advantage in the opening quarter then scored once in each the third and fourth quarters to earn a 3-1 win on the road over Dartmouth. Sophomore Madison Folan scored off of an assist from older sister Caroline Folan on a corner midway through the first quarter, and that was the only goal from either team in the first half. Caroline Folan set up both of North’s second half strikes, first linking up with Francesca Spencer at 4:35 of the third and then with Julia Puccio at 8:31 of the fourth to make it 3-0. North’s defensive diamond of Ella Luistro, Rory McGinley, Maddie Bailey, and Ava Mckeon kept the net safe and started the Rocketeers’ runs on offense while Ava Spencer, Emily Burnham, and Kelsey Thompson played well in the midfield.

Jess Wright had another strong outing with nine kills, 12 digs, and two aces, Kaitlin Bigham and Fatima Sidibay were strong at the net with a combined five blocks, and Zoe Scibelli ran the defense with 12 digs and three aces.

Senior Caden Mirliani nodded in a cross from classmate Jake McCabe minutes after the break for the only tally of the contest.
Taunton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – Taunton got a scoreless draw on the road at North to earn first-year head coach Dan Borges his first Hockomock point. North had a significant edge in shots but couldn’t convert any of their scoring chances, including a bid from Abi Pratt that hit the post and stayed out. Borges praised the play of Cali Melo and Christina DaCosta on the defensive end. Eighth grader Ashlyn Hebert earned her first career start and first career clean sheet in the Taunton goal.
Attleboro, 6 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Attleboro’s Marley Young scored once and recorded three more assists to lead the Bombardiers to a win over a gritty Stoughton squad. Siobhan Landers scored a pair of first quarter goals to set the tone for the Bombardiers while Alyvia Bessette, Nora Desrosiers, and Emilie Chartier each added one. Young added a penalty stroke in the fourth quarter for the visitors. For Stoughton, Katherine Giroux had an outstanding game offensively while Morgan Groppi and Nicole Reid also had strong outings.
King Philip, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – King Philip countered with three unanswered goals in the second half to take care of business on the road in Easton, earning a 3-1 decision over OA. Following a scoreless first half, the Tigers took the lead in the third quarter on a goal from Erin Cottam off a feed from Olivia Stevens. KP tied it before the end of the quarter and took its first lead going into the fourth, where they added a key insurance tally. Leah Santoro scored a pair of goals for the Warriors, Kelly Holmes added one, and sophomore Lucy Weineck added a strong all around performance in the win.
North Attleboro, 2 @ Mansfield, 0 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game – A pair of second half goals and a few key saves in the final moments helped North Attleboro secure a win on the road in a competitive contest at Alumni Field. North registered 11 corners in the first half but couldn’t solve Mansfield’s defense and goalie Lily Danehy. The Rocketeers finally broke through with just under five minutes to go in the third as Francesca Spencer kept the play alive near the touchline and dropped a pass into the middle where Julia Puccio was able slide a low shot into the net. North added a key insurance goal as the clock ticked under two minutes to go in the game as Puccio got her second, finishing off an assist from Caitlin Vacher. Puccio and Rory McGinley made key stops on Mansfield corners (six total) in the final minutes to prevent a look at goal. Eman Farid (six saves) made multiple saves with a minute to go to preserve the win. Gracie Leary (two saves) and Farid combined for the shutout for North.

Milford, 0 @ Sharon, 1 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this game – Sharon senior Alejandra Aguilar scored moments into the game and that proved to be enough as the Eagles fended off visiting Milford. Aguilar carried possession from midfield into the attack before sliding a lot shot into the back of the net just 16 seconds into the game. Sharon’s Natalie Kessler recorded the shutout in net.
King Philip, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final – King Philip bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-21, 25-23) on the road over Oliver Ames. Senior middle Emily Sawyer had 11 kills, four blocks, and four aces to lead the way for the Warriors. Senior Ahunna James added six kills, three blocks, and three aces, and senior Sami Shore recorded four kills and four blocks in the win. For Oliver Ames, junior Rachel Fleischman had a standout game defensively with 15 serve receptions, 12 digs, and three aces. Maddie Homer added 25 digs, Clare Kavoulis finished with 24 assists, and Sarah Hilliard recorded 14 kills.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Click here for a photo gallery of this match – After dropping the opening set, Mansfield rallied to win three straight — including a thrilling 26-24 win in the fourth set — to take down the visiting Rocketeers. Keira Fitzpatrick recorded eight digs and dished out 24 assists in a balanced attack for the Hornets. Elyssa Buchanan had 11 kills along with five digs, three aces, and two blocks, Lexie Scibilia added six blocks, five kills, and a pair of aces, and Lilly Verheggen finished with seven kills, four digs, and two aces for Mansfield.

Natalie Brojek set the offense in motion with 33 assists and had a stellar day at the service line with nine aces. Julia Leonardo (14 kills) and Addie Shelton (eight kills) led the charge offensively for the Bombardiers. For Stoughton, Patrik Oliviera and Jessie Queeney had strong defensive performances while Maya Ashu led the front row with a great offensive game.

Attleboro, 173 @ Mansfield, 155 – Final – Mansfield earned its first win of the season by taking down visiting Attleboro at Norton Country Club. Senior Drew Urban and junior Cody Nieratko shared medalist honors for the Hornets, each coming in with a round of 38. Nathan McClean added a 39 in the win and Michael Creedon finished with a 40 on the day. Leo Lombardo led the Bombardiers with a team-low round of 39.
Canton, 165 @ Oliver Ames, 149 – Final – Oliver Ames had six golfers come in under 40 in a key win over division rival Canton in a battle of Davenport heavyweights. Junior Sean Kearns was the match medalist, shooting a low-round of 36 to lead the way for the Tigers. Junior David Rodgers chipped in with a 37 while seniors Noah Isleib and Michael McGinnis each shot a 38 to round out the scoring for OA. For Canton, Huck McCready continued his strong start to the season with a team-best round of 39 and Brian Middleton added a 41 for the Bulldogs.

King Philip, 3 @ Bishop Feehan, 0 – Final – Behind a pair of first half goals and a shutout defensively, King Philip opened the season with a win over Bishop Feehan. The Warriors opened the scoring just inside 20 minutes in as Dermott Amorim set up Brad Lynn to make it 1-0 in the 17th minute. KP went on to double its lead shortly before halftime as Will Bowen finished off an assist from Matt Crago. The Warriors put the game away in the 62nd mintue when Neel McGrath nodded in a service from Bowen.

Franklin, 2 @ Xaverian, 0 – Final – Connor Brown had a dream start to his senior season, scoring both goals for the Panthers and putting in a strong performance all game long. Junior Andrew O’Neill registered an assist on the second goal for the Panthers.
Mansfield, 0 @ Wayland, 4 – Final
King Philip, 1 @ Hingham, 1 – Final – KP started the season with a very impressive point on the road against top-ranked Hingham. With 11 minutes to play, Ella Pisani hit a long, diagonal pass to Ailish McGowen on the left and she hit a 35-yard shot over the keeper’s head. Makenna Norrman made eight saves, including several diving stops to preserve a point for the Warriors. Grace Lawler and Rihanna Mason had strong games in back for KP.
Mansfield, 0 vs. Bishop Feehan, 2 – Final – Feehan scored twice in the second half to pull out the win against Mansfield. A young Hornets roster battled with one of the highly-ranked teams in the state and showed that it can compete at that level. Goalie Olivia Salisbury made a handful of top-level saves and the center back pairing of Kara Santos and freshman Olivia Dunham also had a strong game against Feehan’s attack.
Milford, 2 vs. Norton, 2 – Final – Milford twice held a lead against Norton and walked away with a point in the season opener. Serena Borges put the Hawks ahead with a 30-yard free kick. Norton tied the game in the second half but Milford regained the advantage with 10 minutes play on Dani Atherton’s first goal of the season. With three minutes to play, the Lancers were able to score again to share a point apiece. Milford freshman goalie Chloe Murdock made 10 saves on her debut before leaving in the second half with an injury.
North Attleboro, 3 @ Dartmouth, 3 – Final – North Attleboro found the back of the net twice in the opening quarter but needed a goal midway through the fourth to earn a tie on the road at Dartmouth. The Rocketeers opened the scoring just under five minutes in when Ava Spencer finished off a pass from Caroline Folan. After the hosts tied the game, Spencer returned the favor to Folan on a corner to give North the lead back with less than a minute to go in the quarter. Dartmouth tied the game in the second and took its first lead in the third but Folan’s second goal of the game (assisted by Julia Puccio) with 7:44 left brought the Big Red level. Gracie Leary made five saves in net for North, Francesca Spencer had a strong performance on the right wing, and both Ella Luistro and Ava Mckeon played well defensively.
Sharon, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – Final – Caelyn O’Leary registered four points and Sophia Cabral scored a pair of goals as Taunton rolled to a big win in its first game of the season. O’Leary opened the scoring (from Jillian Emond) and then assisted on goals from Olivia Reposa, Cabral, and Ayla Jackson. Cabral also netted an unassisted goal to make it 4-0. Jasmine Lucier had the shutout in net while Thal Nogueira, Caroline Vallarelli, and Sydney Moreton played well for the Tigers.

King Philip, 151 @ Oliver Ames, 146 – Final – Oliver Ames won its second match in a row to start the season, this time knocking off a strong King Philip squad in a crossover contest. Seniors Michael McGinnis and Daniel Paul shared match medalist honors along with King Philip’s Cam Hasenfus as all three shot a 36 on the day. Juniors Lucas Riley and David Rodgers rounded out the scoring for the Tigers, each coming in at 37 for the day.
Franklin, 151 @ North Attleboro, 152 – Final – Franklin grabbed a pair of wins on the day, including a one-stroke win over North Attleboro in a huge division showdown. Tyler O’Brien hit back-to-back birdies on the final two holes to finish with a team-low round of 36 for the Panthers. Jack Hagerty and Brendan Collins both fired a 38 and CJ Steel and Liam Lewandowski both came in at 39 for the day. North Attleboro’s Tyson Laviano was the match medalist with a low-round of 35 at Wentworth Hills. Caiden Albergio added a 38 and Jordan Paradis shot a 39 for North.

Sharon, 184 @ Canton, 162 – Final – Canton broke into the win column by taking down visiting Sharon at Blue Hill Country Club. Sophomore Huck McCready had the best round of the day, firing a match medalist round of 38. Brendan Tourgee added a 40 for Canton while both Brian Middleton and Joey Ryan came in at 42. Sharon’s Dylan Cummings, Reid Nierman, Mihir Basil, and Patrick Dykeman all shot 46.
