Milford, 3 @ Canton, 4 – FinalCanton junior Paul Cocoran netted his second hat trick of the season, including a pair of goals in the second half that helped the Bulldogs build a three-goal lead. Milford opened the scoring when freshman Leo Coelho netted his first career goal but Canton responded with a pair of goals in a two-minute span. Corcoran tied the game in the 21st minute and Simon Cruz gave Canton the lead in the 22nd minute. Cocoran added goals in the 56th and 64th minutes to go up 4-1. Milford sophomore Jordan Borges made it a two-goal game in the 75th minute and sophomore Walisson de Oliveira brought the Hawks within one in the final minute.

King Philip, 5 vs. Bishop Feehan, 1 – Final King Philip scored four goals in the second half to break a tie game and pick up two points at home. Tyler Mann put the Warriors up 1-0 on an unassisted tally in the ninth minute. Feehan tied the game midway through the first half. Mann completed his hat trick with a pair of goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half, making it 2-1 in the 44th minute on a feed from Anthony Bozza and 3-1 just two minutes later on a feed from Connor Mullins. Thomas Lugten scored a pair of goals in a five-minute span, with junior Justin Willson and freshman Evan McEvoy picking up assists.

Stoughton, 2 vs. Norwood, 1 – Final Tyler Melo and Fabio Ponce de Leon each had a goal for the Black Knights to earn Stoughton its first win of the season.

King Philip, 6 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalKing Philip junior Alli Meehan recorded a hat trick to pace the Warriors on the road. Senior Christina Hathaway netted a pair of goals and Dana Truini scored once for King Philip.

Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 9 – FinalSophia DiCenso led the way for the Warriors with a hat trick. Jackie Brion, Molly Murphy, Lily Daly, Annie Murphy, Lindsey Morris, and Lily Behn also scored for Foxboro.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin junior Anna Jardine had a strong game in net, making nine saves, including a gutsy slide tackle and a beautiful diving save – both in the second half – to help the Panthers preserve the win. Juniors Cassi Ronan and Regan Paterson each scored once in the first half for Franklin. FHS head coach Lisa Cropper said junior Annie Walsh played an outstanding game, creating numerous offensive chances and stopping OA from mounting an attack. Oliver Ames goalie Caitlin Grant made eight saves in net.

Mansfield, 1 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalSenior Kya Enos netted a hat trick for the second straight game and junior goalie Emma Sheehan made 12 saves to help the Tigers earn an upset over visiting Taunton. Diana Brens had two assists while Liana Duarte had one helper in the win. THS coach Mike Fox praised the defensive play of Jillian Pagliuca, Jocelyn Pagliuca, and Kathryn Robinson.

Milford, 1 @ Stoughton, 2 – FinalStoughton’s Haley Apotheker scored a pair of goals to help the Black Knights defend its home field and earn a win over visiting Milford.

Volleyball
Canton, 0 @ Milford, 3 – FinalMilford picked up a key division win at home, taking it 25-19, 25-18, 25-23. For Canton, Taylor Harris and Hannah Jerrier combined for 14 kills while head coach Pat Cawley praised the defensive play of Julia Minichiello.

Foxboro, 0 @ Stoughton, 3 – FinalStoughton earned a dominant win in the first game but had to orchestrate a comeback to win a close second game. The Black Knights completed the sweep with a convincing third game win, 25-5, 26-24, 25-10. Val Whalen took control in the first set, rattling off 16 service points, including six aces. Sophomore Mykiah Simpson paced the offense with five kills in the opening set. Whalen finished 16 kills, 18 digs, and eight aces while junior Molly Turner added 21 assists and six aces. Seniors Vicky Ramos and Haley Stone played well defensively for the Knights.

Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalFranklin mounted a late comeback in the second half to help sweep the Tigers on the road. Junior Lauren McGrath (four aces) put the Franklin offense in motion with 30 assists while Meaghan Maguire had 10 kills and two blocks and Lauren Lockhart chipped in with eight kills. Sharon, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro earned the sweep, defeating Sharon 25-14, 25-20, 25-12. Seniors Amelia Murphy (13 kills) and Kezie De La Cruz (nine kills) led the Rocketeers to the win.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final King Philip defended home court with a convincing 25-14, 25-11, 25-14 win. Sydney Phillips led the way with 15 kills while Michaela Palumbo added four kills. Julianna Rando (eight digs) and Elise Pereira (seven digs) paced the Warriors’ defensive effort.

Golf
Taunton, 179 @ Attleboro, 174 – FinalAttleboro’s Kyle DelSignore eached match medalst honors with a low-round of 39 and was the difference between the Bombardiers and Tigers. The two teams matched on cards two, three and four – meaning DelSignore’s five-stroke win on the top card was the difference.

Canton, 157 @ Mansfield, 173 – FinalCanton sophomore Chris Lavoie fired a 36 at Norton Country Club, earning match medalist honors for the first time and helping the Bulldogs stay unbeaten. Danny Powers added a 39 for the Bulldogs while Brendan Loomer led Manfield with a round of 40.

Milford, 191 @ Foxboro, 178 – Final

Stoughton, 174 @ Oliver Ames, 139 – FinalOliver Ames senior Mark Bissonette birdied the first two holes of play, finishing with a low-round of 33 to earn medalist honors. Ryan McGarry and Eric LeBlanc added rounds of 35 while Matt Kelley fired a 36 at Pine Oaks.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Attleboro, 1 – FinalAttleboro sophomore Michael Russo scored the equalizer inside the final five minutes to help the Bombardiers take a point against unbeaten North Attleboro. The Rocketeers took the lead in the first half in the 34th minute. Jeff Gale flicked on a free kick service from Gabe Pinhancos and Zach Matracia buried his volley to put Big Red up 1-0. The Bombardiers tied the see-saw game in the 77th minute, heading in a free kick from junior Aidan Lancaster.

Canton, 1 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin scored two goals in the first half, both on assists from senior Andrew DiLeo, to beat visiting Canton. The Panthers took the lead inside the first five minutes when DiLeo set up junior Nick Barry for the game’s opener. DiLeo then assisted on junior Tim Duval’s game-winner, coming at the half-hour mark of the first half. Canton cut the deficit to one just before half.

Foxboro, 2 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalFoxboro junior Shane VandenBoom scored on both sides of halftime to lift the Warriors to a win on the road. VandenBoom opened the scoring in the 20th minute, converting a chance from Ryan Kelley. The junior then iced the game, doubling the lead in the 75th minute.

Stoughton, 0 @ King Philip, 10 – FinalKing Philip built a 6-0 lead at halftime and never looked back in a big win over visiting Stoughton. Senior Tyler Mann and junior Anthony Bozza each scored a pair of goals, Zac White notched two helpers and senior Thomas Lugten had two assists and one goal. Senior Eric Woolson added a goal and an assist in the win.

Sharon, 2 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalMansfield raced out to a two-goal lead but the visiting Eagles battled back to earn a point on the road. Sean Lanzillo put the Hornets up 1-0 on a feed from Sam Hyland and senior Cullin Anastasia doubled the lead on an assist from Luke Savoie as Mansfield took a 2-0 advantage into halftime. Sharon cut the deficit in half when sophomore Brian Higgins netted one on a clearance off a corner kick in the 55th minute. The Eagles scored the equalizer 10 minutes later when sophomore Michael Baur scored on a free kick from just over 20 yards out.

Milford, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – FinalOliver Ames senior Cam Vella opened the scoring in the 18th minute, dispossessing a Milford player at midfield and making a darting run on goal before finishing from outside the box. The Tigers doubled its lead moments before halftime when James Gillespie won possession on the sideline and connected with Brandin Osborne, who found Nathaniel Cardoza on a run into the area for the finish. Gillespie nodded home OA’s third goal on a throw from Chris Lawrence in the 45th minute, Niko Byron made it 4-0 with his first career goal, converting a rebound off Lawrence’s shot and senior Jack Galas converted a penalty kick for his first career goal in the 75th minute. Milford senior Jacob Balzarini scored his first career goal, burying a half-volley on a corner kick.

Girls Soccer
North Attleboro, 2 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final North Attleboro broke a tie game with just under three minutes to play to grab two points on the road. Ashlyn Gaulin continued her strong season, scoring the game-winner in the 78th minute on an assist from Leah Jetter. North Attleboro took the lead when Haley Guertin opened the scoring on a feed from Kayla Pasquel. Attleboro equalized with just under two minutes to play in the first half. North Attleboro head coach Bill Wallace added that Aine Mendonca, Felicity Monfils, Haley Ferrin and Emma Gauin all played great two-way soccer.

Taunton, 0 @ Foxboro, 6 – FinalLizzy Davis scored a pair of goals and Lily Sykes added a goal and an assist for the Warriors. Katie Huether, Shaina Abbott and Mia Oglia also scored for Foxboro and Warriors coach Katie Stalcup said that Alex Stamatos and Sykes both had great games.

King Philip, 5 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final Avery Snead scored two goals and set up a pair of goals for classmate Chloe Layne as the Warriors earned their 11th win of the season. Emma Corcoran and Ally Stanton assisted on the Snead goals and Jenna Midura scored an unassisted goal with two minutes remaining for KP. Melina Connolly made three saves to earn the clean sheet.

Mansfield, 1 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalStephanie Kemp scored the lone goal of the game in the first half off an assist by Erin Daniel. Sharon had its chances to equalize and was “unlucky,” according to head coach Brad Furnival, including a Sabrina Robbins free kick that struck the underside of the bar.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Milford, 0 – FinalSofia Masciarelli scored the lone goal of the game seven minutes in to the second half off an Erin Holmberg assist. Olivia Marshall played well in net, according to Milford coach Jay Mastaj, making four saves for the Hawks.

Field Hockey
Stoughton, 6 @ Brockton, 0 – FinalMeghan Foley scored two goals to pace the Black Knights to a season sweep of Brockton. Julia Russell, Jackie Evangelista, Haley Apotheker and Kamryn Oliveira each scored once for Stoughton. Kayleigh Marinelli had her first career shutout in goal.

Canton, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalFranklin picked up its eighth win of the season with a 25-15, 26-24, 25-12 sweep of visiting Canton. Lauren McGrath set the offense in motion with 31 assists, setting up Lauren Lockhart and Ellie Wisniewski (eight kills apiece). FHS head coach Kate Horsmann said Lauren Bissanti and Riley Marino both had strong serve receive and defensive games for the Panthers. Canton head coach Pat Cawley said freshman Angie Elias played well at the net while Sophia Connor had a strong game defensively.

Foxboro, 0 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalTaunton defended home court with a 25-13, 25-22, 25-18 sweep of Foxboro. Sam Reaume led the offense with 10 kills, five digs, two aces and a block while Kayli Fagan finished with 23 assists, five kills, three aces and three blocks. Sam Silviera chipped in with six kills for the Tigers.

Sharon, 1 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalMansfield rallied after dropping the first game to win the next three, grabbing a 19-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-12 win over visiting Sharon. Julia Harrison had eight kills and eight digs, Lexi Gardner added 18 service points and six kills and Jolie O’Neil had 16 digs and 12 service points.

Milford, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames edged out Milford in an incredibly close match, taking the first, third and fifth games to beat the visiting Hawks (25-18, 22-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-13). OA sophomore Ally Kemp paced the Tigers’ offense with 25 assists while senior Kayla Raymond finished with 14 kills and two blocks. Senior Emma Petrillo added eight kills and four aces, junior Sadie Homer added 15 digs and two aces and junior Grace McCallum was tabbed player of the game by head coach Chelsea Cunningham. “Her commitment to the back row was solid throughout the whole match and she held the team’s composure in the height of the match,” Cunningham said of McCallum.

Stoughton, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip picked up a big win in a crossover match with Stoughton behind a balanced attack. The Warriors, who won 25-16, 25-15, 25-19, got nine kills from Sydney Phillips (four digs, two aces, seven service points), seven kills from Grace Ely and five kills from Michaela Palumbo (nine service points). Elise Pereira added eight service points, four digs and three aces in the win.

Golf
Oliver Ames, 161 @ Franklin, 170 – FinalOliver Ames senior Ryan McGarry earned match medalist honors, carding a low-round of 38 to lead the Tigers to a win at Franklin Country Club. Nolan Donza, Matt Kelley, Mark Bissonette, Thomas Walsh and Eric LeBlanc all shot 41 for OA.

Canton, 173 @ Foxboro, 181 – FinalCanton punched its ticket to the MIAA state tournament for the eighth straight year, improving to 7-0 with a win over Foxboro. Jack Goyetch earned match medalist honors with a round of 41 while Thomas Singleton helped the Bulldogs with a round of 42. Joey Vaughan, Chris Lavoie and Niko Donovan each shot 45 for Canton. Logan Sloan, Matt Lathrop and Steve Foster each carded rounds of 45 for the Warriors.

Mansfield, 166 @ Attleboro, 164 – FinalAttleboro’s Ethan Johnson earned match medalist honors, shooting a low-round of 38 to lead the Bombardiers to a close win over Mansfield. Kyle DelSignore and Corey McKenna each added rounds of 41 while Taron Mills shot a 44. Freshman Brian Lee led Mansfield with a 40 while classmate Ryan Dow added a 41 for the Hornets.

Milford, 181 vs. Nipmuc, 156 – FinalAndrew Fauerbach had a strong day for the Hawks, shooting a team-low round of 39 for Milford.

North Attleboro, 155 @ Stoughton, 181 – FinalNorth Attleboro picked up a win at Easton Country Club with Marcus Costa’s medalist round of 36 leading the way for the Rocketeers. Dylan Kane (39), Colby Cameron (40) and Jillian Barend (40) also factored in for Big Red. Stoughton’s Brendan Campbell had a team-low round of 38 while Nick Szum added a 44.

Taunton, 194 @ Sharon, 175 – Final – Sam Fergenbaum led the way for Sharon, carding a team-low round of 41 while Max Brody added a 42 for the Eagles.

Juniors Annie Walsh and Regan Paterson each scored once and added one assist in the win. Panthers goalie Christina Luccini made nine saves in the win while FHS head coach Lisa Cropper said Jill McLaughlin did “an outstanding job in the midfield.”

Mansfield, 2 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalMansfield scored once in each half, netting the game-winner with just over 15 minutes to play in the game. Hayleigh Crawford opened the scoring, putting the Hornets up 1-0 on an assist from Ann Maher just before the midway point of the first half. KP tied the game five minutes into the second half when Dana Truini converted a centering pass from Alli Meehan. Kristina O’Connell netted the winner on an assist from Crawford. Mansfield goalie Kayla Hunter made 21 saves in net.

Milford, 0 @ North Attleboro, 6 – Final

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalOliver Ames had three different players score in its win on the road. Liz Nuss, Maggie Woods and Maura Kiernan each found the back of the net while Kayla Lozzi had two assists. Caitlin Grant made nine saves in net for Oliver Ames. For Taunton, Diana Brens scored on an assist from Lauren Torres.

Sharon, 0 @ Stoughton, 6 – FinalStoughton’s Lauren Berteletti and Julia Russell both found the back of the net twice while Kamryn Oliveira and Haley Apotheker each added single goals for the Black Knights.

Nicole Brown led Canton’s offense with 18 assists, four kills and one block while Hannah Jerrier added 10 kills. Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip earned a sweep against the visiting Hornets, cruising in the first game before edging Mansfield in the final two (25-13, 25-23, 26-24). Sydney Phillips led the way with 22 service points, including four aces, and led the offense with 14 kills. Michaela Palumbo added 12 kills, Rachael Veilleux finished with 32 assists and Julianne Rando had six digs. For Mansfield, Meg Hill had eight kills and four blocks, Julia Harrison added six kills and Greenly Kelly finished with five kills and three blocks. Junior Katie Dardinski had eight service points for the Hornets.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalAfter dropping the opening game, Oliver Ames rallied for three straight wins to earn the victory on the road (24-26, 25-17, 25-20, 25-23). OA head coach Chelsea Cunningham praised senior Caroline Cavanaugh, saying she was “the glue on and off the court.” Sophomore Ally Kemp finished 30 assists, junior Sadie Homer had 22 digs, senior Emma Petrillo added 14 kills, and senior Kayla Raymond finished with 11 kills, four blocks and three aces.

Sharon, 1 @ Stoughton, 3 – Final – Stoughton bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 25-22 win over Sharon. Senior Vicky Ramos and sophomore Mykiah Simpson had strong games from the outside while junior Molly Turner added 17 assists for the Knights.

Golf
Foxboro, 171 @ Milford, 170 – FinalMilford’s Andrew Fauerbach earned co-medalist honors, carding a team-low round of 39 to help the Hawks nip the Warriors. Foxboro’s Logan Sloan shared medalist honors with a 39 of his own. Milford’s Riley Lynch and Foxboro’s Noah Hicks each carded rounds of 42.

Franklin, 166 @ Mansfield, 162 – FinalMansfield senior Brendan Loomer and freshman Brian See both carded rounds of 38 to lead the Hornets to a close win over Franklin. Senior Madison Haughey and freshman Joseph Gormley added rounds of 43 for the Hornets.

Stoughton, 179 @ North Attleboro, 150 – FinalAll four of North’s top golfers finished with rounds under 40 in middle course at Heather Hill. Dylan Kane fired a one-over-par round of 36 while Matt Wanless, Marcus Costa and Jillian Barend each shot 38 on the day.

Attleboro, 2 @ Canton, 4 – FinalCanton senior Jake Verille opened the scoring and junior Simon Cruz added two first half tallies as the Bulldogs led 3-0 at the halftime break. Attleboro junior Will Halben pulled one back but Canton’s Griffin Roach found the back of the week to make it 4-1. Brandon Lewis added a second strike for the Bombardiers.

Mansfield, 0 @ Foxboro, 0 – FinalMansfield senior Nick Ferraz made eight saves in net for the Hornets to earn the shutout.

Franklin, 2 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro twice erased a one-goal deficit and scored the game winner with just two seconds left to open the season with two points. Franklin senior Connor O’Rourke put the Panthers ahead in the sixth minute, finishing a shot from distance. North tied the game in the 28th minute when junior Joe Hilf put home a rebound on a corner kick. An own goal put Franklin back ahead but North Attleboro tied the match in the 61st minute. Senior Gabe Pinhancos broke through in alone on goal, touched around the keeper and finished into the net. Hilf scored the winner at the death, putting his shot at the back post with two seconds left.

King Philip, 1 @ Milford, 0 – FinalMilford pushed King Philip to the brink but the Warriors found the game-winner five just five minutes go. Senior Cam Koch provided the winner as his shot from outside the area hit off the crossbar and back off the keeper and into the net. Milford head coach Bryan Edwards played the effort of defender Joey Madden and goalie Josh Orellana.

Taunton, 1 @ Sharon, 2 – FinalLiam Crowley put Taunton ahead just before halftime but the Eagles netted a pair of second half goals to grab two points. Marques Benton leveled the match in the 52nd minute, heading in a long throw from Tyler Hippler. Isaiah Stessman netted the winner in the 66th minute with a shot from distance.

Girls Soccer
Canton, 2 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalLilah Sullivan scored off a Riley Duserick assist to open the scoring for the Bulldogs and freshman Elisa Diletizia added a debut goal for Canton. Attleboro coach Steve Santos said that his team played well and created chances, but just couldn’t find the finish.

Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalChloe Layne scored a pair of goals and had an assist as KP scored four goals for the second straight game. Layne opened the scoring off a corner and Jenny Hinch made it two by finishing off a loose ball to the near post. Avery Snead scored off a Layne assist to make it 3-0 at halftime. Layne redirected an Emma Corcoran corner for her second and the fourth for the Warriors. Milford goalie Olivia Marshall made eight saves and Hawks coach Jay Mastaj said that Rachel LeBlanc had a solid game on defense.

Stoughton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalAbby Reardon, Sofia Masciarelli, and Erin Homberg scored goals for the Tigers and Sophia Cox and Abby Hodges had assists. Stoughton coach Tara Daniels said it was a “well-fought game” by the Black Knights. She added that senior Mia Greene created a number of chances from center midfield and goalie Emma Harrington played tough in goal.

Sharon, 0 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalEmily O’Gara had a goal and an assist for the Tigers. Maggie Sullivan had the other goal and Samantha Tichelaar had an assist. Grace Pimenta made three saves to earn the clean sheet.

Attleboro, 1 @ Canton, 8 – FinalCanton senior Andrea McNeil netted a pair of goals and registered a pair of assists in the Bulldogs’ big win.

Franklin, 1 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalFranklin freshman Victoria Quinn tied the game midway through the first half off an assist from freshman Amanda Lewandowski. FHS goalie Christina Luccini helped the Panthers preserve the tie with a stellar second half, making five her of nine saves in the second half. Franklin head coach Lisa Cropper also praised the play of junior Cassi Ronan and senior defender Jolie Bua.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Stoughton, 2 – FinalOliver Ames broke open a tie game at the half with a pair of second half goals to beat Stoughton. Liz Nuss led OA with two goals while Hannah Stryke scored one goal. Caitlin Grant recorded 11 saves in net for Oliver Ames. Haley Apotheker and Allie Howe scored for Stoughton.

Taunton, 4 @ Sharon, 2 – FinalTaunton led 1-0 at the break and netted three more goals in the second half to pull away from Sharon and earn the win. Kya Enos scored a pair of goals while Diana Brend Lauren Torres each netted one goal for the Tigers. Senior Liana Duarte and freshman Alana Tavares each registered an assist in the win. Sharon head coach Andrea Vandette said goalie Lindsay Moses played an amazing first half, turning aside 20 shots.

King Philip, 9 @ Milford, 0 – FinalKing Philip raced out to a 6-0 lead in the first half and never looked back in a shutout win on the road. Alli Meehan had a hat trick and two assists to pace the Warriors’ offense while Claire Lawler scored twice and Caroline Klim had two helpers. Liz Furfari (goal, assist), Dana Truini and Raegan Simeone each scored once while Christina Hathaway and McKenzie Mazur each had one assist.

North Attleboro, 171 @ Milford, 172 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s Dylan Kane earned match medalist honors, carding a low-round of 38 to lead the Rocketeers. Riley Lynch led Milford with a 40 and Will Middlecoat shot a 42.
