#15 Stoughton, 2 @ #2 Greater New Bedford, 4 – Final – Josh Mitchell put the Black Knights ahead with an early goal off an assist from Loubensky Lucas but GNBVT rallied to take a 2-1 lead at halftime. Will Peoples drilled a shot off the crossbar and in off a pass from Noah Schulze to level the game but GNBVT regained the lead 3-2. The Black Knights pushed numbers forward and went to three in the back and the Bears found the back of the net one final time.

#3 Foxboro, 5 vs. #19 Dedham, 1 – Final – Foxboro advances to the D3 South Quarterfinals and will host #6 Rockland on Sunday, 11/8 at 3:00.
Girls Soccer
D1 South
#3 Franklin, 3 vs. #14 Walpole, 0 – Final – Victoria Stowell broke the deadlock nine minutes before halftime with an “olimpico” straight from a corner kick. Alexis Stowell and Meghan Doherty scored in the final 10 minutes to wrap up the win. Franklin advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will host #11 North Attleboro on Sunday, 11/8 at 4:00.

#12 Mansfield, 4 @ #5 Bridgewater-Raynham – Final – Jen Kemp scored a pair of goals while Jackie Carchedi had a pair of assists and also scored one goal. Katie Bongarzone also chipped in with a goal as the Hornets got the win at the road. Mansfield advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will travel to #4 Needham on Sunday, 11/8 at 2:00. The Mansfield boys will play Needham before at 12:00.

#1 Mansfield, 4 vs. #16 Duxbury, 2 – Final – Caroline Maher netted all four of the Hornets’ goals in the win over Duxbury. Mansfield advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will host #8 Wellesley on Sunday, 11/8 at 2:00.

#4 Franklin, 4 vs. #20 King Philip, 0 – Final – Kelsey McPhee opened the scoring off an assist from Annie Walsh in the 11th minute. In the 23rd minute, Cassi Ronan added a goal off an assist from Taylor Reutlinger. Diana Griffin scored an unassisted goal and assisted on a goal by Walsh in the second half. Abby Campbell made 12 saves for KP. Franklin advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will host #5 Dennis Yarmouth on Sunday, 11/8 at 1:00.

#11 Oliver Ames, 2 @ #6 Somerset Berkley, 1 – Final (OT) – Nicole Walker set up senior Missy Krim for a breakaway chance in overtime and the senior co-captain buried it to give the Tigers the win. Walker scored the go-ahead goal in the first half off an assist from Hannah Friend before Somerset Berkley leveled it in the second half. Head coach Janice Sundell said Katie Davenport, Christina Boudreau and Sarah Stevens all played well defensively. Oliver Ames advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will travel to #3 Sandwich on Sunday, 11/8 at 3:00.

#21 Attleboro, 0 @ #5 Dennis Yarmouth, 2 – Final

#23 Canton, 2 @ #7 Norwood, 1 – Final – Caroline Hagan scored once in each half as the Bulldogs scored the upset on the road at Norwood. Canton advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will travel to #2 Walpole on Sunday, 11/8 at 2:00.

#15 Stoughton, 2 vs. #18 Diman, 0 – Final – Stoughton senior Josh Mitchell opened the scoring three minutes into the second half off an assist from goalie Kyle Silverman and Loubensky Lucas doubled the Black Knights’ lead 10 minutes later, finishing off a cross from freshman Fabio Ponce De Leon. Stoughton advances to the D2 South First Round and will travel to #2 Greater New Bedford (17-1) on Friday at 6:00.

#11 Oliver Ames, 2 vs. #22 New Bedford, 0 – Final – Missy Krim scored in the first half off an assist from Dimitra Efremidis and Nicole Walker added a goal in the second half. Head coach Janice Sundell said Katie Davenport played well on defense for the Tigers while Cassie Gavin made six saves.
#18 Stoughton, 2 @ #15 Barnstable, 3 – Final – Mia Russell and Courtney Campbell scored for Stoughton but Barnstable scored with just seven seconds left to escape with a win.

#19 King Philip, 1 @ #13 Plymouth South, 0 – Final (3OT) – King Philip kept Plymouth South off the board while Casie Curtin and Caitlin Donahue scored to lift the Warriors in a stroke off. KP advances to the D1 South First Round, where they will travel to #4 Franklin on Friday at 2:30.
#21 Attleboro, 3 @ #12 Dighton-Rehoboth, 0 – Final – Attleboro got a hat trick from Emily Houle and Quincy Harding assisted on a pair of them to help the Bombardiers advance. Attleboro will play #5 Dennis-Yarmouth on Friday at 2:30 in the D1 South First Round.

#23 Canton, 1 @ #10 Bridgewater-Raynham, 0 – Final – Lindsey Nolte scored midway through the first half and Taylor Carrington had a strong game in net for the Bulldogs. Canton advances to the D1 South First Round, where they will travel to #7 Norwood (13-4-1) on Friday at 2:30.

Monday's Schedule & Scoreboard – 10/19/15

Boys Soccer
Franklin, 1 @ Mansfield, 2 – Final
Stoughton, 2 @ Norwood, 2 – Final – After trailing by two goals at halftime, Stoughton rallied to tie the game with a pair of goals in the second half. Jordan Asnes headed in a cross from Josh Mitchell to cut the deficit in half and then Asnes repaid the favor, connecting with Mitchell on a long throw in to tie the game.
Girls Soccer
Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – Victoria Stowell scored both goals for Franklin, both off of long-range free kicks that found the top corner. Rebecca Bornstein went closest for Mansfield with a shot off the bar with two minutes to play.
Stoughton, 2 vs. Norwood, 1 – Final – Emerson Sprague netted the first goal for the Black Knights off an assist from Shanel Ford and Samantha Tullis converted a penalty kick for Stoughton.
Volleyball
Taunton, 3 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – The Tigers qualified for the postseason with the win. Meghan Navarro had 18 service points, including five aces, and seven digs, Emily Moor had 10 kids and five digs and Lexi Natsis played well with 10 assists, 13 service points and a pair of aces.
Oliver Ames, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton picked up the 25-10, 25-15, 26-24. Elizabeth Hamilton led the Bulldogs with eight kills, nine digs and seven aces. Casey Shea had an effective day offensively, hitting .667 with no errors.
Milford, 3 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final – Milford had to battle back from being down 2-1 to force a game five and took the match 25-16, 20-25, 17-25, 25-16, 15-10. Kara Halpin had 13 kills, Jill Powers had eight kills, six digs and two blocks and Allie Collins had 21 assists.
Franklin, 3 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – Franklin took a close first set and then won games three and four to get the win (27-25, 16-25, 25-20, 25-22). Dayna McCue had 47 serve receives for the Panthers, adding 22 digs and four aces. Sam Campbell had seven digs and five aces, Alyssa Shea had 10 kills and four digs and Beth Neal had 16 assists, five kills and four aces. For Mansfield, Cathryn Heavey had 36 assists and 16 service points while Meg Hill had 11 kills and six blocks.
North Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip got the sweep 25-11, 25-22, 25-15. The Warriors got strong serving efforts as Emma Lopez had 11 service points in the first game, Liv Balduf had seven service points in game two, Carly Adams had eight service points in game three and Gwen Uyrus had seven service points in game three. Josie Rowean paced the offense with 16 kills while Micaela Murray had nine digs and Amanda Loewen had five digs.
Field Hockey
Milford, 2 @ Taunton, 1 – Final – Jessica Palmer setup Elena DelloRusso for Milford’s first goal in the first half and then double the Scarlet Hawks’ lead with a goal of her own early in the second half.
Attleboro, 2 vs. Dartmouth, 2 – Final – Attleboro rallied from a two goal deficit at halftime to earn a point against Dartmouth. Emily Houle scored off an assist from Grace Mayer and Hannah LaMothe had an unassisted goal for the Bombardiers.

Milford, 2 @ Stoughton, 4 – Final – Stoughton freshman Fabio Ponce De Leon notched his first career hat trick, scoring once in the first half off an assist from Josh Mitchell and then twice in the second half, the first a header off a corner from Noah Schulze and the final goal another header. Jordan Asnes converted a penalty to give Stoughton a 1-0 lead. Stoughton head coach Aaron Salter credited Milford goalie Mike Da Silva with some outstanding saves.
Girls Soccer
Foxboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Francesca Calabraro scored on a pair of headers in the second half, the second assisted by Zoe Chazan, and Kiana Lozzi tacked on a third goal with two minutes to play. Jalisa Allen made 11 saves for the Warriors. Carolyn Will had a free kick tipped over the bar by Regan Benton in the opening minutes of the second half with the game still tied 0-0.
Franklin, 2 @ North Attleboro, 0 – Final – Halle Atkinson and Jess Kroushl scored the goals for Franklin and both were assisted by Alexis Stowell. Head coach Tom Geysen credited his defense for the victory, extending the team’s clean sheet streak to 11 games to start the season.
Canton, 6 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Hannah Link scored a pair of goals, the first assisted by Shannon Foley and second by Riley Duserick, to lead Canton to the win. Lauren Fitzpatrick, Julia Hamilton, Leianna Brune, and Kendra Farrelly also scored for the Bulldogs.
Volleyball
Mansfield, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Mansfield got the sweep on the road. Juliana Newell had 14 service points, Meg Hill had 13 kills and Jess Haradon added 12 digs for the Hornets.

Milford, 0 @ Algonquin Regional, 3 – Final
North Attleboro @ Bishop Feehan, 4:45

Milford, 167 @ Attleboro, 166 – Final
Stoughton, 179 @ Canton, 159 – Final – Canton senior Steve Gorham and junior Shaun Kirby led the way for the Bulldogs, each shooting 39. Senior Jim Jenkins carded a 40 and seniors Joe Peccia and Griffin Jerrier each shot 41.
Mansfield, 157 @ Oliver Ames, 141 – Final – Ryan McGarry shot a one under 33 for the Tigers, Brian Lambert shot par at 34 and Steven Tasho carded a 35 as Oliver Ames finished the regular season undefeated. Jason Hindman shot a 38 for the Hornets.

Boys Soccer
Attleboro, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – OA senior Keegan Nutt scored a pair of goals in the first half and sophomore Nathaniel Cardoza added the team’s third in the second half.

Taunton, 0 @ Canton, 1 – Final – Pat Hession converted a penalty kick in the final minutes to lift the Bulldogs. Sophomore Abe Garber recorded the shutout in for Canton.

King Philip, 1 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final – Foxboro senior Devante Teixeira scored a pair of goals, one coming in each half. The teams were tied 1-1 at half. King Philip’s Joe Kellett scored a first half goal.

Franklin, 2 @ Stoughton, 4 – Final – With the game tied 1-1 at halftime, Stoughton found the back of the net three times in the second half to score the win. Loubensky Lucas put the Black Knights up 2-1 on a header off a long throw from Josh Mitchell and then Mitchell made it 3-1 with a shot from 25 yards out. Lucas capped Stoughton’s scoring with a long range shot to make it 4-1. Noah Schulze scored Stoughton’s first half goal off another long throw from Mitchell. Nick Parent and Brian Czuba scored for Franklin.

Mansfield, 0 @ Sharon, 2 – Final – James Dunlea gave the Eagles the lead in the 38th minute off an assist by Ben Stamm. Sharon was able to add an insurance goal in the final minutes when Dunlea set up Jake Goloboy to make it 2-0.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Milford, 4 – Final – Milford erased a deficit on two occasions as Justin Borges recorded a hat trick for the Scarlet Hawks. Marcello Panno had a pair of assists for Milford. Leo Charlebois and Matt Cosacarella scored goals for the Rocketeers and Gabe Pinhancos had a pair of assists.

Oliver Ames, 7 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Francesca Calabraro scored a hat trick for the Tigers and Kiana Lozzi chipped in with two goals and two assists. Lauren Wright and Abby Reardon also scored for OA.

Canton, 1 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Tessa Cudmore scored the lone goal of the game for the Bulldogs.

Stoughton, 0 @ Franklin, 9 – Final – Alexis Stowell had a hat trick and an assist for the Panthers, while sister Victoria scored one goal and had three assists. Emily Spath scored a pair of goals and Meghan Doherty, Jessica Kroushl, and Emily Mastaj all added goals.

Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final

Taunton, 2 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Taunton picked up a win in the first set before Canton notched two wins. Taunton fought back to force a fifth set but the Bulldogs were able to hold on for a 21-25, 25-19, 25-18, 22-25, 15-9 win. Elizabeth Hamilton paced Canton with 17 kills and 21 digs while head coach Pat Cawley said Olivia Devoe played “outstanding” on defense with 35 digs. Sarah Reissfelder and Rye Verille each added 13 kills while Nicole Poole had 43 assist and 15 digs. Cawley called it a great team effort from the Bulldogs. Tatum Speicher had 34 assists for the Tigers, Molly Sullivan added 20 digs and Meghan Navarro had 24 digs and three aces.

King Philip, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final – King Philip notched a 25-12, 25-12, 29-27 sweep on the road. Josie Rowean led KP with 15 kills, Amelia Murphy and Emma Lopez each added three kills, Micaela Murray had 10 digs and head coach Kristen Geuss said Angela Vellante had a good game defensively.

Franklin, 3 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Dayna McCue had 19 service points, 17 digs and 10 aces to pace Franklin to a 25-15, 25-10, 25-18 sweep on the road. Beth Neal had 12 assists, seven kills, a pair of blocks and an ace and Caroline Maguire added six service points, four kills and three blocks. Stoughton’s Bianca DeSousa had 13 assists, seven digs and five service points.
North Attleboro, 3 @ Milford, 0 – Final
Field Hockey
Attleboro, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 6 – Final – Oliver Ames scored four unanswered goals in the second half, turning a one goal lead at the break into a big win. Kendall Clifford, Dimitra Efremidis, Carly Cidado, Missy Krim, Hannah Friend and Ali Nolan scored for Oliver Ames.

Taunton, 1 @ Canton, 4 – Final
King Philip, 2 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final
Franklin, 0 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – The Panthers had a 12-2 edge in shots but neither side was able to break through. Franklin head coach Lisa Cropper said Seniors Taylor Reutlinger and Kenzi Pleshaw played well in the midfield for the Panthers. Stoughton head coach Dan Mark praised goalie Kara Ploss, saying she played outstanding in goal.

Mansfield, 6 @ Sharon, 1 – Final
North Attleboro, 1 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Nicole Fokas scored Milford’s lone goal of the game. Jessica Palmer, who head coach Emily Abbondanza-Luuri said had a strong game for the Scarlet Hawks, had the assist.

Canton, 23 @ Foxboro, 26 – Final – Foxboro’s Jason Reed won the race, finishing the league schedule undefeated.

Mansfield, 165 @ Attleboro, 174 – Final – The Hornets clinched their second straight Kelley-Rex division title and eighth since 2006. David Craig shot a 40 for the Hornets, Matt Chirichiello shot 41 and David Norris and Devon Barbero each shot 42.
