Rhines tossed 6.1 innings and helped his cause offensively with three hits. Chirs Sawyer and Dan Antunes also had three hits apiece for KP.

Sharon, 0 @ Stoughton, 8 – FinalStoughton senior Will Eckhart had a dominant performance on the mound, tossing a complete game shutout to lead the Black Knights to a win. Eckhart allowed six hits, no walks, and struck out seven – including striking out the side on the top of the seventh to end the game. Stoughton’s offense had 14 hits on the day and scored four runs in the fifth inning. Matt Hadley went 4-for-4 with a double, Ruben Gonzalez added three hits, Robbie Seaman went 2-for-3 with a triple, and James Genest had two hits and knocked in two runs.

Mansfield, 19 @ Sharon, 0 – Final (5 Inn.)Mansfield closed out its season with a 19-hit day, winning in five innings on the road. The Hornets scored eight runs in the second and seven more in the third to put the game out of reach. Sarah Cahill picked up the shutout, allowing only five hits. Caty DeMassi had a big day at the plate, going 5-for-5 with a pair of RBI and Megan Letendre went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Grace Benton drove in three and had two hits, as did Kara Bendanillo and Kerran Holmes. One of Holmes’ hits was a two-run homer in the third and she finished the day with four RBI. Mady Bendanilo, Katie Dardinski, Sydney Woods, Emma Roche, and McKani Copparini all had one hit in the game for the Hornets.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Sharon, 12 – FinalSabrina Robbins scored the 250th point of her career to lead the Eagles to a win in the season finale. Robbins finished with five goals and an assist on the day. Emma Eberhardt had another big day as well with three goals and five assists, while Maeve Barbera had two goals and an assist and Mia Lappen had a pair of goals. Rose Wald also hit a milestone for Sharon with her 200th career save. Eagles coach Shara Ginthwain noted that Bridget McManus and Lili Ross both had strong games in defense. Oliver Ames’ Chloe Kilkelly and Olivia Piazza each scored their 100th career goals for the Tigers.

Girls Tennis
Milford, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – FinalNorth Attleboro capped its regular season with a victory, earning its 13th win of the season with a sweep of Milford. Emily Chiasson (second singles) and the first doubles team of Azka Siddiq and Leah Marceau each won their match 6-0, 6-0. Senior Jordan Willis prevailed with a 6-2, 7-6 (3) win at first singles, Tara Nair emerged with a 7-5, 7-5 win at third singles, and the team of Shurobhi Nandi and Haley Strom won 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles for Big Red.

Canton, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalOliver Ames’ Liz Nuss opened the scoring on an assist from Hannah Stryke, but Canton scored three unanswered goals to earn the win. The Bulldogs tied the game before halftime and then added two in the second half.

Sharon, 0 @ Franklin, 12 – FinalFranklin freshman Natalie Stott scored her first two career goals to help the Panthers pick up a win. Senior Bella Trask notched her first points of the season with two assists and junior Emma Diphillipo recorded her first assist of the year.

North Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalKing Philip scored a pair of goals in the first three minutes of the second half, turning a one-goal game into a big lead. Christina Hathaway opened the scoring on a beautiful reverse sweep on a feed from Alli Meehan to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead at halftime. Meehan, Hathaway and Liz Furfari all scored in the second half to help King Philip pick up the win.

Stoughton, 0 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalTaunton senior Kya Enos scored a hat trick, accounting for all of the scoring in the Tigers’ 3-0 win over visiting Stoughton. Enos opened the scoring just over seven minutes into the game and gave Taunton a 2-0 lead with just over 12 minutes left in the first half. Enos completed the hat trick with just under nine minutes to play.

Volleyball
King Philip, 3 @ Walpole, 0 – FinalKing Philip avenged its lone loss of the reason, beating Walpole 26-24, 25-22, 25-22. Walpole beat the Warriors in the opening game of the season but since then, KP has rattled off 13 straight wins. Sydney Phillips paced the offense with 22 kills and eight digs, Michaela Palumbo added eight kills, and Julianne Rando finished with five digs and 10 service points, including two aces. Kat Kmetz added 11 service points and two kills and Olivia Atkins chipped in with eight digs.

Mansfield, 0 @ Brockton, 3 – FinalThe Hornets fall on the road to Brockton, dropping a 23-25, 23-25, 18-25 decision to the Boxers. Meg Hill had nine kills, Julia Harrison had eight digs, and Katie Dardinski and Jolie O’Neil each finished with 10 service points.

Stoughton, 3 vs. Cardinal Spellman, 0 – FinalStoughton’s Val Whalen paced the Black Knights’ offense with 14 kills while junior Molly Turner played well all around with 10 assists, 13 digs and five aces.

Stoughton, 184 @ Canton, 154 – FinalCanton clinched its first ever Davenport division title, and its first league title since 2002, with a win over visiting Stoughton. Bubba McNeice’s career-low round of 38 earned co-medalist honors with Joey Vaughan. Jack Goyetch, Chris Lavoie, Danny Powers and Thomas Singleton all shot 39 for the Bulldogs. Stoughton’s Brendan Campbell had a team-low round of 40.

Mansfield, 169 @ Oliver Ames, 148 – FinalOliver Ames junior Nolan Donze earned match medalist honors, carding a low-round of 35 to lead the Tigers past visiting Mansfield. With the win, OA clinches its second straight Kelley-Rex title and sixth straight league crown. Mark Bissonette carded a round of 37 while Tate Hadges and Ryan McGarry each fired a 38.

Sharon, 1 @ Milford, 1 – FinalMilford scored the go-ahead goal midway through the second half but Sharon found the equalizer with just three minutes to play to earn a point on the road. Wallison de Oliveira put the Hawks up in the 60th minute but Michael Bauer cleaned up a loose ball in the area to knot the game. Sharon nearly had the winner in the final minute, but Milford keeper Luke Capobianco made a key say. MHS head coach Brian Edwards added Tiago Carvalho played a great game in the midfield for the Hawks.

Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 2 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalSamantha Tichelaar extended her goal-scoring streak to four games, while Megan Flanagan and Alex Wapenski each added goals to make it back-to-back wins for the Tigers. Khy Camaro, Emma Silvia, and Kasey Colvin each had assists in the win and Grace Pimenta made five saves.

Stoughton, 2 @ Canton, 7 – FinalFreshman Olivia Rodman scored a hat trick and recorded an assist for the Bulldogs to keep Canton in a tie for second place in the Davenport. Fellow freshman Elisa Diletzia added a brace for Canton. Sarah Collins and Morgan McCabe also scored in the win. Chinazo Odunze scored the first for the Black Knights off a Mackenzie Manning assist and Manning scored the second from the penalty spot.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalAshlyn Gaulin had a hat trick for the Davenport leaders and Haley Ferrin added the fourth. Haley Guertin had a pair of assists, while Rachel Labonte and Kayla Pasquel each added one. According to North coach Bill Wallace, Emma Noreck led a “strong defensive effort” and he noted the solid play of Emily Chiasson, Lauren Dow, Sam Hawkins and Julia Tolfa. Lizzy Davis had the lone goal for the Warriors and Foxboro coach Katie Stalcup said that Alex Stamatos had a “great game” in the Foxboro defense.

King Philip, 4 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalKing Philip scored four times in the opening 20 minutes of the game and held on after Franklin scored two to halve the deficit before the break. Avery Snead scored twice and assisted on another, while Chloe Layne added a goal and an assist. Emma Corcoran had an assist and Ally Stanton added the fourth goal for the Warriors.

Mansfield, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalEmily Vigeant scored a penalty kick that turned out to be the game-winner for the Hornets. Stephanie Kemp had the other goal for Mansfield.

Milford, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalJuliana France scored a pair of goals and Ashleigh Starks had one for the Hawks to end the team’s three-game winless streak and move Milford within a point of second place in the Davenport. Sharon coach Brad Furnival said that his team had its fair share of chances, including a Sabrina Robbins free kick that struck the bar, but that the Eagles “weren’t clinical enough. He added that the second Milford goal was “fantastic,” a 25-yard half-volley into the top corner.

Canton, 2 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalCanton’s Maggie Malloy and Kaitlyn Goyetch each found the back of the net as the Bulldogs held off Stoughton in a tight affair. Allie Howe scored Stoughton’s lone goal of the game.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalOliver Ames erased a pair of one-goal deficits in the second half to earn a draw on the road. The Tigers took the lead behind a goal from Hannah Stryke, assisted by Kayla Lozzi, but Mansfield stormed back with goals from Ann Maher (unassisted) and Brooke Downey (from Heather D’Ambra) to take a 2-1 lead at the break. Lozzi tied the game before D’Ambra put the Hornets back up on a feed from Emily Ierardo. Stryke netted her second of the game, on an assist from Maggie Woods, to tie the game. OA goalie Caitlin Grant made 11 saves in net.

Sharon, 0 @ Milford, 9 – FinalShannon Cormier netted four goals to lead the Scarlet Hawks to a big win over visiting Sharon. Danielle Fokas added three goals and Colby Bowers netted her first career goal in the win.

Canton, 0 @ Stoughton, 3 – FinalStoughton defended home court with a 25-19, 25-19, 25-14 win over visiting Canton. Senior Val Whalen led the Black Knights with 16 kills while senior Vicky Ramos had a strong game on the outside with five kills. Juniors Hanna Holden and Molly Turner combined for over 30 assists. Nicole Brown paced Canton with 20 assists and four kills, Taylor Harris had nine kills and Megan McDonough played great defense with 13 digs and a pair of aces.

Foxboro, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro got stronger as the match went on, notching a 25-17, 25-12, 25-6 sweep against visiting Foxboro. Tori Melanson had a strong day at both the net (seven kills) and serving (five aces) while Amelia Murphy finished with eight kills. Kezia De La Cruz had her best serving performance of the year, finishing with nine aces to go along with five kills.

Franklin, 1 @ King Philip. 3 – FinalIt was a strong team performance for King Philip, picking up a 25-17, 25-17, 20-25, 25-20 win over Franklin. Sydney Phillips led the way offensively with 18 kills, four digs and two blocks while Michaela Palumbo added nine kills and 10 service points and Grace Ely chipped in with six kills and two blocks, Kat Kmetz had a strong day serving with 19 service points while Elise Pereira had four aces and seven digs. Rachael Veilleux had a strong all-around day with 34 assists and 12 service points, including five aces.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalTrailing 8-7 in the deciding fifth set, Mansfield’s Katie Dardinski (11 service points) served six straight points to put the Hornets ahead for good. Mansfield won the match 17-25, 25-22, 25-22, 17-25, 15-9. Meg Hill had a strong day at the net with 23 kills while Lexi Gardner added nine kills and 20 service points. Julia Harrison added seven kills and 12 digs for the Hornets. For Oliver Ames, sophomore Ally Kemp had 35 assists to go along with five kills while Katie Flynn (14 kills) and Kayla Raymond (nine kills, six blocks, four aces) paced the Tigers’ offense. Junior Sadie Homer finished with 19 digs and three aces for OA.

King Philip, 172 @ Mansfield, 163 – FinalMansfield junior Jake DiSangro and freshman Nathan Morreale each carded rounds of 40 to lead the Hornets to a key division win over King Philip. Freshman Brian See added a 41 while senior Brendan Loomer carded a round of 42 in the win.

Milford, 176 @ Stoughton, 186 – FinalMilford’s Riley Lynch and Stoughton’s Brendan Campbell shared medalist honors, each carding a round of 42. Milford’s Andrew Fauerbach added a 44 in the Hawks’ win.

Franklin, 162 @ Attleboro, 167 – FinalAttleboro’s Corey McKenna and Franklin’s Bryan Woelfel earned co-medalist honors at Highland Country Club, but Matt D’Errico’s round of 40 and Gerard Collins and Jack Paterson both for 42 to help the Panthers earn the win. Sharon, 165 @ Oliver Ames, 137 – FinalOliver Ames’ Thomas Walsh birdied on five of his last six holes to shoot an incredible four-under-par round of 30 to lead the Tigers to a win. Walsh sank a 20-foot put on the last hole to finish at 30. Walsh’s round, which may be a school record, was complemented by Ryan McGarry’s par round of 34, Mark Bissonette’s round of 36 and Eric LeBlanc’s round of 37.

Juniors Annie Walsh and Regan Paterson each scored once and added one assist in the win. Panthers goalie Christina Luccini made nine saves in the win while FHS head coach Lisa Cropper said Jill McLaughlin did “an outstanding job in the midfield.”

Hayleigh Crawford opened the scoring, putting the Hornets up 1-0 on an assist from Ann Maher just before the midway point of the first half. KP tied the game five minutes into the second half when Dana Truini converted a centering pass from Alli Meehan. Kristina O’Connell netted the winner on an assist from Crawford. Mansfield goalie Kayla Hunter made 21 saves in net.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalOliver Ames had three different players score in its win on the road. Liz Nuss, Maggie Woods and Maura Kiernan each found the back of the net while Kayla Lozzi had two assists. Caitlin Grant made nine saves in net for Oliver Ames. For Taunton, Diana Brens scored on an assist from Lauren Torres.

Nicole Brown led Canton’s offense with 18 assists, four kills and one block while Hannah Jerrier added 10 kills. CHS head coach Pat Cawley said Angie Elias and Nyah Claiborne played well off the bench.

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip earned a sweep against the visiting Hornets, cruising in the first game before edging Mansfield in the final two (25-13, 25-23, 26-24). Sydney Phillips led the way with 22 service points, including four aces, and led the offense with 14 kills. Michaela Palumbo added 12 kills, Rachael Veilleux finished with 32 assists and Julianne Rando had six digs. For Mansfield, Meg Hill had eight kills and four blocks, Julia Harrison added six kills and Greenly Kelly finished with five kills and three blocks. Junior Katie Dardinski had eight service points for the Hornets.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalAfter dropping the opening game, Oliver Ames rallied for three straight wins to earn the victory on the road (24-26, 25-17, 25-20, 25-23). OA head coach Chelsea Cunningham praised senior Caroline Cavanaugh, saying she was “the glue on and off the court.” Sophomore Ally Kemp finished 30 assists, junior Sadie Homer had 22 digs, senior Emma Petrillo added 14 kills, and senior Kayla Raymond finished with 11 kills, four blocks and three aces.

Sharon, 1 @ Stoughton, 3 – Final – Stoughton bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 25-22 win over Sharon. Senior Vicky Ramos and sophomore Mykiah Simpson had strong games from the outside while junior Molly Turner added 17 assists for the Knights.

Golf
Foxboro, 171 @ Milford, 170 – FinalMilford’s Andrew Fauerbach earned co-medalist honors, carding a team-low round of 39 to help the Hawks nip the Warriors. Foxboro’s Logan Sloan shared medalist honors with a 39 of his own. Milford’s Riley Lynch and Foxboro’s Noah Hicks each carded rounds of 42.

Franklin, 166 @ Mansfield, 162 – FinalMansfield senior Brendan Loomer and freshman Brian See both carded rounds of 38 to lead the Hornets to a close win over Franklin. Senior Madison Haughey and freshman Joseph Gormley added rounds of 43 for the Hornets.

Stoughton, 179 @ North Attleboro, 150 – FinalAll four of North’s top golfers finished with rounds under 40 in middle course at Heather Hill. Dylan Kane fired a one-over-par round of 36 while Matt Wanless, Marcus Costa and Jillian Barend each shot 38 on the day.
