Canton, 5 @ Sharon, 4 – Final

Foxboro, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – Final – Oliver Ames’ Zach Sato, Kevin Geary and Michael Mulrean combined to limit the Foxboro Warriors to five hits to get the Tigers’ 10th win of the season. OA scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth behind a Chris Pearsons single and a two-run double from Matt Mancini. Kyle Gagliardi and Pearsons each had two hits for the Tigers.

King Philip, 9 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – Click here for a recap of the game.

Mansfield, 2 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Click here for a recap of the game.

Stoughton, 1 vs. Whitman-Hanson, 2 – Final – Stoughton’s Ryan Sullivan pitched well, going the distance, allowing just two runs on six hits with three strikeouts. Jack Connelly drove in the Black Knights’ only run while Luke Johnson went 2-2 with a walk.

Softball
Attleboro, 2 @ North Attleboro, 8 – Final – Amelia Murphy fanned 13 batters to help North Attleboro claim the Blue and Red Cup. Mycala Moody was 2-3 with two RBI, Kaylea Sherman and Gina Miceli each had an RBI single, Tess Munley added an RBI, Jordan Sharpe two hits and Carolyn Wallace made a nice play with a pick at first, helping the Rocketeers prevent a pair of runs.

Sharon, 3 @ Canton, 12 – Final – Sarah Reissfelder had a trio of triples and seniors Caitlin McCarthy, Rachel Dooly, Colleen Phelan, Aoife Omahony and Gab Matthews each had hits for the Bullldogs.

Oliver Ames, 10 @ Foxboro, 15 – Final

King Philip, 3 @ Franklin, 0 – Final – King Philip’s Kali Magane allowed just one hit while retiring 14 batters via strikeout to lead the Warriors to a shutout win. Meghan Gorman had a pair of hits and used excellent base running to score a run for KP.

Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 6 @ Bishop Feehan, 17 – Final

Canton, 8 @ Milton, 4 – Final – Freshman Mike Shaw led Canton with a pair of goals and had one assist and freshman Griffin Roach scored his first career goal in his first varsity game.

King Philip, 5 @ Westwood, 9 – Final – King Philip outscored Westwood 4-0 in the fourth quarter but their rally fell short against the Wolverines. Paul Macrina made 16 saves in the cage for the Warriors while Sam Agricola (three goals), Tim Watson (goal, assist), Harry Fallon (goal) and Colin Devellis (goal) paced KP’s offense.

Mansfield, 9 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 5 – Final

Milford, 5 vs. Worcester, 17 – Final

Taunton, 1 @ North Attleboro, 9 – Final Taunton’s Kyle Hebert scored off an assist from Andrew Wellington.

Oliver Ames, 10 vs. Pembroke, 6 – Final – Senior Jake Aronson made 11 saves in net and sophomore Owen Gallagher recorded five points as the Tigers punched their ticket to the postseason. Gallagher had four goals and one assist, senior middie Max Bamford had a pair of goals and assists, sophomore attack Eric LeBlanc scored two goals, senior middie Connor Howe scored once and senior middie Aidan Connly found the back of the net once and added one assist.

Girls Lacrosse
Attleboro, 8 vs. Bishop Feehan, 20 – Final

Foxboro, 21 vs. Norwood, 10 – Final

Oliver Ames, 10 @ Pembroke, 8 – Final – Ariana Waldorf pushed aside 18 saves in the cage for Oliver Ames, who held off Pembroke. Erin Fitzgerald led the offense with four goals and one assist, Hannah Friend scored twice and Abby Duvall had a goal and an assist. Sam Lang, Carly Cidado and Kendall Clifford each scored once for OA. The Tigers’ defense was led by a strong effort by Katie Davenport.

Sharon, 14 @ Shrewsbury, 13 – Final

North Attleboro, 19 @ Taunton, 1 – Final – Kenzie Rosenberg netted four goals, including her 100th career goal, for the Rocketeers. Sophomores Camille Pizarro, Julia Takin and Julia Tolfa each scored twice for the Rocketeers. Chloe Olsen also chipped in with three assists for North.

Boys Tennis
Attleboro, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final – North Attleboro senior Mitchell Dyer battled to a 7-5, 6-3 win at first singles, senior Jake Fontes didn’t lose a game in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at second singles and senior Ben Lacasse won 7-5, 6-0 at third singles. Seniors Jeff Yao and Nick Lockavitch won 6-1, 6-4 at first doubles and seniors Duncan Pickett and Ben Scott won 6-2, 6-4 for Big Red.

Canton, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – Final The Eagles completed yet another undefeated league season with a sweep over Canton. Griffin Fein won 6-3, 6-3 at first singles but both Fred Bondar and Tilak Mehta had to battle back from a lost set to get wins. Bondar prevailed 5-7, 6-1, 1-0 (10-4) at second singles and Mehta won 6-3, 6-7, 1-0 (10-4). Adam Dobbin and Alex Romantz didn’t drop a single game in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at first doubles and Andrew Tarnoff and Jing Huang won 6-0, 6-3 at second doubles.

King Philip, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – Final

Girls Tennis
North Attleboro, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final

Sharon, 5 @ Canton, 0 – Final – Sharon completed an undefeated regular season with the sweep. Lulu Yuan and Nupur Shulka both swept 6-0, 6-0 at first and second singles, respectively, while sophomore Emily Wen won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles. Pooja Puttigampala and Katie Merport didn’t lose a set in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles and Sydney Gordon and Sophia Fein won 6-3, 6-2 at second doubles.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final – Neither Diana Prinos or Lexi Nelson lost a game, winning at first and third singles, respectively, for Foxboro in the win. Sophia Prinos picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles and the team of Michaela McCarthy and Julia Muise won 6-4, 7-5 at first doubles. Oliver Ames’ Claudia Ferrara and Rachel Stryke won 6-2, 6-3 at second doubles.

Franklin @ King Philip, 3:30

Taunton, 2 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Needing a win, Mansfield’s three singles players carried the Hornets to a berth in the state tournament. Paulina Martin picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at first singles, Kathleen Giffels won 7-5, 6-3 at second singles and Sarah Doyle notched a 6-1, 6-3 win at third singles to clinch the win. Taunton’s Ashleigh Eason and Emily Moor won 6-2, 6-4 at first doubles and Caroline Hebert and Jillian Pagliuca won 6-1, 6-2 at second doubles for the Tigers.

Baseball
Attleboro, 1 @ Bishop Feehan, 5 – Final – Junior Matt Callahan gave up three runs on five hits over four innings in his first varsity start. The Bombardiers managed only five hits, two of them by John Burns. Jon Dunn scored the lone Attleboro run on a fielder’s choice by Brendan Galvao.

Franklin, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – Final – Sophomore Jake Noviello struck out six in six innings of work, scattering five hits to get the win. Matt Foley, Ryan Hodgkins, Joe Corsi and Tyler Gomes each knocked in a run for Franklin. Oliver Ames’ Josh Minuskin was 2/3 with an RBI and a run scored and sophomore Matt Muir had a pair of hits and reached base three times total. 

Softball
Attleboro, 2 vs. Bishop Feehan, 6 – Final

Taunton, 12 vs. New Bedford, 0 – Final (6 inn.) – Aimee Kistner tossed a no hitter, fanning nine batters and issuing just one walk. At the plate, Kistner was 2/2 with a double and a pair of RBI, Kya Enos was 3/4 with two RBI, Jordan Wade was 2/2 with a double and two RBI and Liana Duarte was 2/4 with a triple and two RBI.

Oliver Ames, 7 vs. Whitman-Hanson, 11 – Final

Girls Lacrosse
Oliver Ames, 10 @ Whitman-Hanson, 9 – Final – Ariana Waldorf shined in goal with 14 saves for the Tigers as OA held off a late push from Whitman-Hanson. Abby Duvall and Sam Lang each scored three goals, Sofia Masciarelli scored twice and Carly Cidado had three assists. Erin Fitzgerald had a goal and an assist while Hannah Friend had one goal and Kendall Clifford had an assist. Head coach Craig Gardner credited Cidado, Sarah Lewis, Cassie Gavin, Katie Davenport and Olivia Piazza with strong defensive games.

Franklin carried that momentum into the second half as Diana Griffin doubled the lead just 30 seconds into the second frame. Head coach Lisa Cropper said freshman Annie Walsh scored a “beautiful top shelf” goal off a “sweet” pass from classmate Cassi Ronan to make it 3-0. Sam Jones made six saves, including two “incredibly athletic” diving saves with three minutes left to keep the lead. 

#11 Oliver Ames, 0 @ #3 Sandwich, 1 – Final – Oliver Ames goalie Cassie Gavin made eight saves while head coach Janice Sundell said Katie Davenport, Erin McCormick and Christina Boudreau played well on defense.

Will Peoples drilled a shot off the crossbar and in off a pass from Noah Schulze to level the game but GNBVT regained the lead 3-2. The Black Knights pushed numbers forward and went to three in the back and the Bears found the back of the net one final time.

#3 Foxboro, 5 vs. #19 Dedham, 1 – Final – Foxboro advances to the D3 South Quarterfinals and will host #6 Rockland on Sunday, 11/8 at 3:00.

Alexis Stowell and Meghan Doherty scored in the final 10 minutes to wrap up the win. Franklin advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will host #11 North Attleboro on Sunday, 11/8 at 4:00. 

#12 Mansfield, 4 @ #5 Bridgewater-Raynham – Final – Jen Kemp scored a pair of goals while Jackie Carchedi had a pair of assists and also scored one goal. Katie Bongarzone also chipped in with a goal as the Hornets got the win at the road. Mansfield advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will travel to #4 Needham on Sunday, 11/8 at 2:00. The Mansfield boys will play Needham before at 12:00.

#4 Franklin, 4 vs. #20 King Philip, 0 – Final – Kelsey McPhee opened the scoring off an assist from Annie Walsh in the 11th minute. In the 23rd minute, Cassi Ronan added a goal off an assist from Taylor Reutlinger. Diana Griffin scored an unassisted goal and assisted on a goal by Walsh in the second half. Abby Campbell made 12 saves for KP. Franklin advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will host #5 Dennis Yarmouth on Sunday, 11/8 at 1:00. 

#11 Oliver Ames, 2 @ #6 Somerset Berkley, 1 – Final (OT) – Nicole Walker set up senior Missy Krim for a breakaway chance in overtime and the senior co-captain buried it to give the Tigers the win. Walker scored the go-ahead goal in the first half off an assist from Hannah Friend before Somerset Berkley leveled it in the second half. Head coach Janice Sundell said Katie Davenport, Christina Boudreau and Sarah Stevens all played well defensively.  Oliver Ames advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will travel to #3 Sandwich on Sunday, 11/8 at 3:00.

#11 Oliver Ames, 2 @ #6 Somerset Berkley, 1 – Final (OT) – Nicole Walker set up senior Missy Krim for a breakaway chance in overtime and the senior co-captain buried it to give the Tigers the win. Walker scored the go-ahead goal in the first half off an assist from Hannah Friend before Somerset Berkley leveled it in the second half. Head coach Janice Sundell said Katie Davenport, Christina Boudreau and Sarah Stevens all played well defensively.  Oliver Ames advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will travel to #3 Sandwich on Sunday, 11/8 at 3:00. 

#21 Attleboro, 0 @ #5 Dennis Yarmouth, 2 – Final

#23 Canton, 2 @ #7 Norwood, 1 – Final – Caroline Hagan scored once in each half as the Bulldogs scored the upset on the road at Norwood. Canton advances to the D1 South Quarterfinals and will travel to #2 Walpole on Sunday, 11/8 at 2:00.

Mansfield, 2 @ New Bedford, 0 – Final – Mansfield’s Emma Oldow scored both of the Hornets’ goals, with assists from Jen Kemp and Becca Bornstein. The Hornets outshot the Whalers by a large margin (25-2) while Lauren Whitman made one save to get her first career shutout.
Volleyball
Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Mansfield got the win at home 25-12, 25-16, 25-6. Mansfield head coach Melissa Heeden said all six of the team’s seniors — Alli Belanger, Cathryn Heavey, Kelsey Hernon, Sarah Mullahy, Juliana Newell and Colleen Riley – played well in the win. Hernon had seven service points, Mullahy had 17 service point and five digs and Riley added 12 service points and nine aces. 
Stoughton, 1 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Stoughton won the first set but Canton rallied back to win the next three and get the 16-25, 25-17, 25-11, 25-17 win. Elizabeth Hamilton led Canton with 14 kills and 15 digs, Sarah Reissfelder and Rye Verille combined for 13 kills and Nicole Poole had 33 assists. Head coach Pat Cawley said Olivia Devoe played great defensively and Kelly Dever hit .500 with six kills. Stoughton’s Ava Siegel had 14 service points, 12 digs and eight kills and Bridgette Whalen had 18 digs, 10 kills and seven blocks.

Foxboro, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – Final

Franklin, 3 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Franklin got the win on the road with a 25-17, 24-26, 25-22, 29-27 win. Maddie Kuzio stepped into the lineup and played terrific defense according to head coach Kate Horsmann and had 12 service points, seven digs and five aces. Beth Neal had 21 assists, 12 kills, three aces and a block, Aubrie Kutil had 13 kills and three digs and Dayna McCue had 12 digs, five aces and a pair of kills.

King Philip, 1 @ Taunton, 3 – Final – Taunton’s Tatum Speicher became the first player in program history to reach 1,000 assists, setting up the first kill of the fourth set, to lead the Tigers to a marathon win over King Philip. Three of the four sets went over the 25 point threshold as Taunton got the 30-28, 27-25, 20-25, 26-24 win. Speicher had 34 assists in the match, Emily Moor played well with 15 kills and four aces and Meghan Navarro and Molly Sullivan combined for 18 digs, 10 aces and 23 service points. King Philip’s Josie Rowean had eight service points in game one and finished with 18 kills overall, Gwen Uyrus had 11 kills and Micaela Murray added five service points in game three, including two aces.

Attleboro, 2 @ Mansfield, 4 – Final – Caitlin Whitman, Caroline Maher, Emily Ierardo and Mary Kate Kelly each scored once in the win for Mansfield. 
Stoughton, 1 @ Canton, 0 – Final – Kara Ploss made 10 saves to deny Canton an equalizing goal while Angela Connolly scored the lone goal for the Black Knights.

Foxboro, 7 @ Sharon, 0 – Final
Franklin, 3 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Senior Kelsey McPhee scored a pair of goals and Dana Lewandowski also scored once for the Panthers. Franklin head coach Lisa Cropper said Taylor Reutlinger and Kenzi Pleshaw also had strong games.

King Philip, 2 @ Taunton, 1 – Final – The Warriors scored once in each half to get the road on the win. Alli Meehan opened the scoring for KP with an unassisted goal in the first half and Caitlin Donahue added a second off an assist from Courtney Foley in the second half. 

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Olivia Powers scored a pair of goals for Oliver Ames and Carly Cidado and Sara Stevens each scored once. Head coach Janice Sundell said Hannah Friend and Katie Davenport played well for OA.Â
