Mansfield, 1 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final (8 inn.)Mansfield notched its fifth straight win and qualified for the state tournament behind a complete game shutout from sophomore Connor Sheehan. Sheehan struck out a career-high 10 batters in eight innings of work, allowing just four hits and two walks. Zach Peterson knocked in Matt Farragher (2-for-4) with a double in the top of the eighth for the lone run. Kevin Dow went 3-for-3 for Mansfield as well. Attleboro’s Eoin Kelleher had another solid outing on the mound, allowing just the one run in eight innings of work with two strikeouts. Matt Callahan had two hits for Big Blue.

Milford, 8 @ Canton, 4 – FinalMilford’s offense exploded for five runs in the third inning to extend its lead to six and tacked on two more in the sixth before holding off a seventh inning rally from Canton. Alex Macek got the win, tossing 6.2 innings with no runs allowed, five strikeouts and six hits. Ryan Goncalves went 2-for-4 with two runs, Anthony Arcudi was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs and Luke Allegrezza had two hits and two RBI. Canton’s Kevin Monagle went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Stoughton, 8 @ Foxboro, 0 – FinalStoughton senior Justin Hutchinson needed just 88 pitches to toss a complete game shutout on the road at Foxboro. Hutchinson allowed just four hits, struck out five and didn’t issue a walk to earn the win.

Taunton, 1 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin emerged from another pitcher’s duel with a close 2-1 win over visiting Taunton. FHS junior Jason Ulrickson tossed a complete game, scattering five hits, issuing one walk and striking out five to earn the win. Taunton’s Tyler Medeiros also allowed five hits with just one talk, striking out seven in six innings of work. Tyler Gomes had a double and a run scored for the Panthers while Ulrickson accounted for the other run. Sophomore Alex Haba was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Cam Lupien brought the Panthers’ other run home with a sacrifice fly. Taunton’s Christian Simoes was 2-for-3 and scored on an RBI double from Joe Manchester.

King Philip, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 6 – FinalOliver Ames broke a tie game open with five runs in the bottom of the second inning, giving sophomore Tom Parker a lead he wouldn’t relinquish in a complete game effort. Parker allowed just three hits while walking two and striking out a pair. Both Alden Newman and Kyle Gagliardi went 1-for-2 for the Tigers, each scoring a run and each knocking in one as well.

North Attleboro, 7 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalAfter allowing the first four batters to reach, North Attleboro’s Matt Iaconis settled in to toss a complete game with just one run allowed and two strikeouts to help the Rocketeers pick up a win on the road. After North went up 1-0 in the top of the first, Sharon rattled off three straight singles and tied the game on a hit batter. From there, Iaconis escaped the bases loaded jam with three straight outs. He allowed just four hits the rest of the way and didn’t issue a walk. North tacked on two runs in the top of the second, three in the third and one more in the fifth. John Brennan went 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI, Kyle McCarthy was 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI, Zach DeMattio went 2-for-3 including a triple and Aidan Harding had a pair of hits and an RBI.

Softball
Attleboro, 3 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalAttleboro rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh inning to turn a 2-1 deficit into a one-run victory. Jenna Gittle led off with a double to start the seventh inning and hits from Emily Gittle and Ashley Macia pushed across the tying and winning runs for the Bombardiers. McKenzie Bergdoll earned the win, tossing a complete game with seven strikeouts, allowing just four hits. Mansfield scored both of its runs in the second inning. Liz Mackin led-off with a single and, after a sacrifice bunt, scored on a single by Sarah Cahill. Caty DeMassi singled in the second run. The Hornets loaded the bases in the final frame but could not push across the tying run.

Canton, 1 @ Milford, 19 – Final (5 inn.)Milford junior Emily Piergustavo notched her 100th career hit, one of 18 that the Hawks belted out. Piergustavo went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs while Maggie Farrell went 4-for-4 with a triple, four runs scored and two RBI and Jess Tomaso went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs, four RBI and a towering home run to left. Kaitlyn DeCapua added two hits, two runs and an RBI, Shannon Cormier had two hits, including a double, and two RBI and Emily Hartman launched a three-run home run. Kelley Reichert earned the win, scattering five this with five strikeouts in a complete game effort.

Foxboro, 1 @ Stoughton, 2 – FinalGina Carafa struck out 10 Foxboro hitters, including her 100th strikeout of the season, and scattered four hits to pick up the win. Nikki Coppola drove in both of Stoughton’s runs with a two-out single in the third and Shannon Flaherty was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate for the Black Knights. Foxboro cut the lead in half in the sixth inning when Kelly Fisher drove in Kelly Mccarthy with a sac fly off a great running catch by Alessandra Loffredo.

Franklin, 0 @ Taunton, 12 – Final (5 inn.)Taunton’s offense got off to a strong start, plating a pair of runs in the first inning then blowing the game open with six runs in the second. Jaime Brown went 4-for-4 and scored four whiles while Kya Enos (two hits) knocked in four runs. MacKenzie Handrahan knocked in three runs on a pair of hits, McKenzie McAloon added two hits and eighth grader Hannah Aldrich hit her first career home run for the Tigers. Courtney Fisher struck out four without issuing a walk, allowing just one hit (fifth inning) and two total base runners.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ King Philip, 12 – Final (5 inn.)King Philip junior Jess Bonner collected three hits and knocked in three runs and junior Elise Pereira knocked in three runs on a pair of doubles to pace the Warriors’ offense. Hailey McCasland added two hits while Jenn Hutnyan (two hits, three RBI) threw four scoreless innings, striking out eight. Victoria Ziner, Lexie Campbell and Kayla Georgeu each had a hit for OA.

Sharon, 2 @ North Attleboro, 8 – FinalFreshman Bella Erti allowed two unearned runs in the first but retired 18 of the final 19 hitters that she faced to seal the win for North and book a place for the Rocketeers in the state tournament. Erti allowed one hit and struck out 13, while adding a pair of hits at the plate. With the game tied at 2-2 in the fourth, Abby Gallagher drove in two with a single. Abby Warren, Olivia Capobianco, and Gallagher each reached base three times and Meg Barlow added a pair of hits.

Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 2 @ North Attleboro, 12 – FinalNorth Attleboro senior Zach McGowan registered six points, completing a hat trick with his 100th career strike. Owen Costello added three goals and an assist, Colin Young scored once and had two helpers, and Tommy Lindstrom and Jack Dakin each found the back of the net once and registered two assists. Hunter Sarro, Damien Curtis and Jason McNeany (nine face off wins) each scored once and Andy DeMattio had one assist. Dan MacDonald turned away 11 shots in net for the Rocketeers.

Canton, 1 @ Franklin, 7 – FinalFranklin built a 5-1 lead by halftime and shut Canton out in the second half in a low scoring frame. Franklin sophomore Jacob Alexander won all 12 face offs that he took in the game while classmate Nitin Chaudhury notched a hat trick to pace the Panthers’ offense. Eric Civetti scored twice, Chase Tanner and Jack Platner each found the back of the net once and Sam Arsenault recorded two assists. Packie Watson, Kyle McEniry and Pat Morrison each had one assist and Connor O’Rourke made six saves in net.

Foxboro, 4 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalKing Philip’s Conor Khung intercepted a pass just above the restraining then launched a pass from the face off circle, finding John DeLuca, who tucked away the game-winning goal with 17 seconds left to hand KP a close win over visiting Foxboro. Tim Watson and Nate Minkwitz each scored twice while Paul Macrina made 17 saves to keep Foxboro at bay.

Mansfield, 14 @ Milford, 4 – Final

Taunton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 16 – FinalJunior Jack Lang and freshman Sandro Masciarelli each notched a pair of goals as Oliver Ames rolled to a big win. Seniors Mike Young, Robbie Almeida and Liam Brown, junior Ryan Bennett, sophomore Colin Bourne and freshman Sam Stevens each scored once for OA.

North Attleboro, 16 @ Attleboro, 2 – FinalKenzie Rosenberg scored five goals to lead the Rocketeers to the win, including the 150th goal of her career. Chloe Olsen scored three goals and had three assists for North and head coach Mike Vitelli said that Kayla Moulin played will in goal.

Franklin, 15 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCaroline Lounsbury paced Franklin’s offense with four goals while Lauren Bissanti notched a pair of goals for the Panthers. Mairead Goguen notched a goal and an assist and Annie Walsh (two goals, assists) had seven draw controls.

King Philip, 6 @ Foxboro, 15 – FinalMeg Curran scored four goals to lead the way for the Warriors, while Jackie Brion and Caroline Boudreau each scored hat tricks. With the win, Foxboro clinched the outright Davenport division title, its sixth straight league championship.

Milford, 6 @ Mansfield, 15 – FinalThe Hornets had nine different goal scorers and booked a place in the state tournament with their ninth win of the season.

Oliver Ames, 16 @ Taunton, 10 – FinalChloe Kikelly scored four goals while Liv Piazza, Sofia Masciarelli and Emalyn Duvall each recorded hat tricks in Oliver Ames’ win on the road. Alex O’Connor added two goals, Sarah Stevens scored once and Ari Waldorf recorded 18 saves for OA. Taunton was led by Abbey Kingman’s hat trick and two goals apiece from Delaney Powell, Alana Tavares, and Kayla Phillips. Lorna Li made 15 saves in defeat.

Rahul Herur won 6-1, 6-2 at first singles, Eli Brooks took second singles 6-2, 6-0 and Rohan Herur won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles. The team of James Johnson and Derek Wu notched a 6-1, 6-1 win at first doubles and Tyler DiPalma and Rahul Hosdurg walked away with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at second doubles.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalKing Philip emerged with a sweep, dropping just two games total against Oliver Ames. Cole Ginter (first singles), Blake Ginter (second singles) and Martin Matous (third singles) each won 6-0, 6-0. The team of Ryan Gemelli and Sam Colella won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles and Marco DiStefano and Jake Webster notched a 6-0, 6-1 win at second doubles.

With a 4-1 win, the Eagles clinched at least a share of the Davenport division title, stretching its historic streak to 38 years, dating back to 1980. Griffin Fein won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles, Andre Olivei recorded a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles and sophomore Danujan Thirumavalavan won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. The team of Alex Romantz and Andre Olivei won 6-0, 6-0 at first doubles for Sharon. North Attleboro’s Andrew Harris and Vikram Senthilakumaran won 5-7, 6-4, 10-3 at second doubles.

Mansfield, 4 @ Attleboro, 1 – FinalMansfield swept singles playing, dropping just one game, and won one doubles game without losing a game to beat Attleboro. Paulina Martin (first) and Sarah Doyle (second) won 6-0, 6-0 in singles play while Elizabeth Elsner notched a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. Mansfield’s fourth win came via a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles by Chloe Peters and Tessa Garufi. Attleboro’s Katie Furtado and Brooklyn Palermo won 6-2, 6-4 at second doubles.

Milford, 4 @ Canton, 1 – FinalMilford swept singles play and added another win at first doubles to pick up a win on the road. Milford’s Julie Rabinowitz won 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 at first singles, Allison Buckenmaier won 6-0, 6-3 at second singles and Caitlin Carafella recorded a 6-3, 6-3 win at third singles. Becca Ricci won 6-3, 6-0 at first singles, Erin Regnier won 6-0, 6-0 at second singles and Meghan Sepich recorded a 6-0, 6-3 at third singles. The team of Megan Davenport and Carly Adams won 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles and Corinne Palumbo and Gracie Jarest recorded a 6-3, 6-0 win at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – FinalSharon earned a sweep and also earned at least a share of its third straight Davenport division title with a win over North. Sophomore Nupur Shukla won 6-0, 6-3 at first singles, freshman Emily Zhang won 6-0, 6-0 at second singles and junior Lulu Yuan won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. The Eagles also won both doubles matches with Katie Merport and Emily Wen winning 6-4, 6-3 at first doubles and Rithika Neti and Sophia Fein taking a 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) win at second doubles.

Taunton, 3 vs. North Quincy, 1 – FinalTaunton snapped a two game skid with a big win at home at North Quincy, prevailing 25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 25-22. Lance Law did it all for the Tigers, recording 17 kills, 10 digs, six blocks, two assists and an ace in the win. Lens Esquil added 12 kills and four blocks, Malik Charles had 19 digs, eight kills and three blocks and Nate Grant finished with 49 assists in the win.

Canton, 3 @ Milford, 11 – FinalMilford scored two runs in the first and another run in the second, but really broke the game open with eight runs in the fifth inning. The Scarlet Hawks erupted for 14 hits as a team with five players recording at least a pair of hits. Aidan Wilde and Zack Tamagni each had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored for Milford. Nate Irwin got the win, striking out four in five inning sof work with one earned allowed on five hits.

Foxboro, 0 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalStoughton took advantage of a lead off walk in the second inning, turning it into the lone run of the game. Sophomore Evan Gibb drew the walk and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly from Ruben Gonzalez. Stoughton senior Ryan Sullivan threw a complete game shutout, scattering three hits with just one walk, fanning three batters for the win. Foxboro’s Aaron Wentling had a strong outing on the mound, allowing just five hits while striking out five in six innings of work.

Oliver Ames, 9 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalOliver Ames overcame an early 2-0 deficit, taking a 3-2 lead in the third inning. The Tigers then tacked on three runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings to create a big lead. Kyle Gagliardi went 3-for-5 with an RBI to lead OA while Alden Newman was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Head coach Joe Abarr noted Newman also had a terrific game defensively as well. Senior Sam Burr threw 6.1 innings, striking out three without issuing a walk, giving up three earned runs on eight hits.

Sharon, 0 @ North Attleboro, 8 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s offense got going early, plating a pair of runs in the first while tacking on single runs in the third and fifth innings. Big Red broke the game open with a four-run sixth inning. Junior Nate Pearce tossed a complete game shutout on just 74 pitches, allowing three hits while striking out four batters to earn the win. At the plate, Pearce was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and pair of RBI. Nick Crawley went 2-for-2 with a sacrifice fly, finishing with three RBI and Jeff Gale added three hits for the Rocketeers.

Softball
Mansfield, 5 @ Attleboro, 4 – FinalSarah Cahill picked up the win for the Hornets, allowing seven hits and had five strikeouts. Sarah Bradley went 2-for-2 to lead the Hornets offensively and Liz Mackin, Kerran Holmes, Hayley McGowan and Caty Demassi all had hits in the win. Amanda Giambanco made a big play in right to double up a runner on third to end the sixth inning.

Milford, 21 @ Canton, 0 – Final (5 inn.)Milford’s Ali Atherton and Maggie Farrell each knocked in five runs as Milford rolled to a big win. Atherton went 3-for-3 with a pair of triples and five RBI while Farrell was 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a triple and five RBI. Emily Piergustavo went 3-for-3 with a double, triple, two walks and five runs scored while Kate Irwin also went 3-for-3 with a double and four runs scored.

Stoughton, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – FinalHannah Davis provided a walk-off hit in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Foxboro the win in its delayed season opener. Jamie Gorham led off the inning with a base hit and was moved into scoring position by a Kelly McCarthy bunt. Davis ripped a hit to left to score the winning run. Kelly Fisher had two hits and two RBI for the Warriors and Emma Rohan went the distance for the win. Gina Carafa gave up only one earned run in 6-2/3 innings for the Black Knights.

Taunton, 10 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalCourtney Fisher allowed one earned run to pick up her fifth win of the season. Kya Enos had a home run and a double and drove in three runs for the Tigers, while Hailey Medeiros had a double, triple, and two RBI and Katie Van Zandt had a pair of hits. Eighth grader McKenzie McAloon added her first career varsity hit and RBI in the win.

King Philip, 6 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalOliver Ames scored in the first inning and loaded the bases in the second, but couldn’t add any more damage as KP picked up the win. OA’s Victoria Ziner was 2-3 with a pair of doubles and a run scored and Rachel Han had an RBI for the Tigers. Kayla Georgeu struck out two in a complete game effort for OA.

North Attleboro, 12 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalNorth Attleboro junior Amelia Murphy had a big day for the Rocketeers, tossing a one-hitter with nine strikeouts to earn the win while also hitting a home run at the plate. Andrea Miceli added three hits, Meg Barlow and Liz Morehouse each had two hits and Kristina Murphy had a three-run triple for the Rocketeers.

Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 1 @ Franklin, 19 – FinalEleven different players found the back of the net as Franklin rolled to its second league win. Four players scored their first career goals for the Panthers; sophomore Cam Sweeney had two goals and one assist, junior Scott Ehrenberg (5/8 on face offs) scored once and sophomores Ben Kolb and Aaron Mollo each netted one goal. Sophomore Jacob Alexander won 14 of 16 face offs. Junior Connor O’Rourke made five saves in net and sophomore Will Davis made three saves in the cage for Franklin.

Canton, 13 @ Milford, 2 – FinalCanton built a commanding 12-0 lead by halftime to pick up a win over the Hawks. Ryan Lodge led all scorers with four goals and three assists for the Bulldogs. Junior Joey Vaughan and freshman James Murphy each scored their first career goals in the win. Canton’s Jack Connolly, CJ Martin, and Dylan Cunningham split time in goal and each played well according to head coach Bill Bendell.

Stoughton, 2 @ Foxboro, 14 – FinalFoxboro’s Louis Piccolo scored four goals to pace the Warriors’ offense. Sam Blake added two goals while Brendan Tully had three assists.

King Philip, 7 @ Mansfield, 6 – FinalKing Philip scored the final two goals of the game, turning a deficit into a win over the Hornets. John DeLuca scored with four minutes to play to tie the game 6-6 and then with under two minutes to play, senior Tim Watson scored his goal of the game, which turned out to be the game-winner. Head coach Jamie Stefanini praised the team’s defensive effort, highlighting Connor Khung’s shutdown performance. Paul Macrina made 14 saves in the cage for the Warriors. Colin DeVellis added two goals for KP while Mike Curtain and Ben Palmer each scored once.

North Attleboro, 11 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – FinalNorth Attleboro put on a dominant performance in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 7-1 to pull away and earn a league win on the road. Zach McGowan (three assists), Tommy Lindstrom (assist) and Colin Young each scored a pair of goals to pace the Rocketeers’ offense. Dan MacDonald and Jack Dakin each had a goal and an assist while Owen Costello and Andy DeMattio each scored once. Hunter Sarro and Nick Moore each recorded an assist. North Attleboro’s Jack Puccio (four saves) and Jake McNeany (five saves) split time in the cage for North.

North’s Gabby Duva and Azka Siddiq won 6-1, 6-2 at first doubles and Katie Demontigny and Hana Hershey rallied to win 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 (10-8) at second doubles.

Just before the half hour mark, James Chotkowski headed in a throw in from Gurnon to give Mansfield a 2-0 lead at half. Jackson Murphy capped the scoring for Mansfield in the 65th minute, finishing off a free kick from Sam Hyland. Jed Tolbert made six saves in recording his second straight shutout for Mansfield.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ King Philip, 0 – Final – King Philip peppered Oliver Ames but was unable to breakthrough as KP goalie Katie Vamosi stood tall. Vamosi came away with 14 saves on the day as she stifled KP’s attack (15 corners). OA head coach Abby Tepper also lauded the play of Dimitra Efremidis in the midfield.

Golf
Oliver Ames, 149 @ Mansfield, 172 – FinalBrady Allbritton shot a 34 at Norton Country Club to earn match medalist honors, leading OA to another win. Ryan McGarry added a 37 and Matt Kelley finished with a round of 38 for the Tigers. Brendan Loomer shot a team-low 41 for the Hornets.

Sharon, 176 @ Franklin, 156 – Final – Bryan Woelfel led the way for the Panthers, earning match medalist honors with a round of 38. Tyler Langevin and Matt Dao each finished with a round of 39. Corey Carter led Sharon with a round of 42.

Attleboro, 185 @ Taunton, 178 – Final – Mike Volkmann was the match medalist, carding a round of 37 to lead the Tigers; Justin Proto finished with a 38. Kyle DelSignore was Attleboro’s top finisher, carding a round of 44.

North Attleboro, 195 @ Canton, 194 – FinalIn a battle of the top two Davenport teams, the match was forced to a fifth card and Canton emerged with a one stroke victory. Tommy Dimock led the way for the Bulldogs with a round of 37, Matt Minichiello and Danny Powers both shot 38 and Jackson Maffeo carded a round of 40. North Attleboro’s Dylan Kane was the match medalist, finishing with a round of 36 while Robbie Congdon shot a 37 and Tyler Sincola shot a 39.

Boys
Attleboro, 35 @ Mansfield, 24 – FinalAttleboro’s David Seybert won the race in 17:04 but Mansfield used its depth to get the team win. Kalin Petrov finished first for Mansfield – second overall – in 17:21 while Patrick Heavey finished third in 17:41. Collin Rice (18:06) and Kevin Crawford (18:09) finished fifth and sixth and Nick Rispoli was eighth overall in 18:19. Attleboro’s Alex Boedecker (17:43) was fourth and Garrett Gillard (18:12) finished seventh overall.

Oliver Ames, 21 @ King Philip, 37 – Final – Brent Schwartz won his second consecutive race to lead Oliver Ames past King Philip. King Philip’s Jack Angelo finished third and Mike Griffin was fourth.

Canton, 20 @ Milford, 39 – Final

Franklin, 20 @ Taunton, 39 – Final – Franklin placed a trio of juniors in the top four places, including the top two finishers, to beat Taunton. Nicole Clermont placed first in a time of 21:05 while Kate Hartnett was second in 21:13. Ella Gutkowski finished in fourth overall, clocking in at 22:08.

Sharon, 30 @ North Attleboro, 25 – Final

Oliver Ames, 31 @ King Philip, 26 – Final – King Philip grabbed the top two finishers and had four of the top six finishes to edge Oliver Ames. Erin Quinn won the race for KP while Lucy Hamilton finished second. Nina Sitarski and Leia Quinn clocked in at fifth and sixth overall. Liz Peckham and Caroline McCarthy led Oliver Ames with third and fourth finishes respectively.

Stoughton, 8 @ Canton, 5 – Final – Stoughton’s Nico Parmeggiani improved to 5-0 on the season, tossing 5.1 innings with just three earned runs allowed. Pat Hagerty paced Stoughton’s offense from the lead off spot, going 3-4 with an RBI and a stolen base and Ryan Sullivan also added three hits, a stolen base and a run scored for the Black Knights. Joe Piana broke up a 2-2 game in the fifth inning with a two run single, Justin Hutchinson had a pair of hits and Doug Seaman (2-4, two RBI) helped cement the win with a home run in the top of the seventh.

Foxboro, 1 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Aaron Wentling dazzled on the mound, striking out seven in a complete game two-hit shutout effort for the Warriors. Foxboro’s lone run came via junior Cam Feldman with an RBI fielder’s choice.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Franklin, 6 – Final – North Attleboro plated four runs in the first inning but Franklin’s bullpen limited the Rocketeers to just three hits over the final 6.2 innings and the Panthers offense chipped away to get the win and qualify for the state tournament. Bryan Woelfel came in with one out and the bases loaded in the first and was able to limit the damage for Franklin. Woelfel went five innings, allowing two hits and one earned run while striking out three. Ryan Morse got the win, allowing just a hit in 1.2 innings. Franklin scored a run in the first, two more in the third and two more in the fifth to take a 5-4 lead. North tied the game in the top of the sixth but sophomore Steven Luttazi scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth for the Panthers. Sophomore Jason Ulrickson went 2-3 and knocked in a pair of runs, Mike Skaza was 1-1 with a pair of walks, an RBI and a run scored and Tyler Gomes went 1-3 with an RBI and a double. Ryan Hodgkins (2-4) scored twice for Franklin and Cam Benham scored once. Andy Katch went 2-3 for North while Zach DeMattio had two RBI for Big Red.

Oliver Ames, 10 @ Milford, 4 – Final – Senior Kevin Geary notched his first career win on the mound as the Tigers rallied from a 3-1 deficit to take the lead. Sophomore Matt Muir cleared the bases with a three run triple, giving the Tigers the lead. Chris Romero, Josh Minuskin and Ryan Adams each had three hits on the day for OA while Muir, Matt Mancini and Chris Pearsons each had two.

Softball
Mansfield, 6 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Mansfield senior Maddie Letendre tossed her first no-hitter of the season, striking out seven in the win. The Hornets took a 1-0 lead in the fifth and then tacked on five more runs in the sixth. Consecutive singles from Bri Homer, Jocelyn Reardon and Marissa Staffier resulted in the first run. In the sixth inning, Kara Bendanillo singled, Mady Bendanillo walked, Maddie Letendre had an RBI single, Rachel Carafa had a two RBI single, Reardon knocked in a pair with a double, Marissa Staffier knocked in another run and Megan Letendre singled.

Canton, 3 @ Stoughton, 7 – Final – Karly Estremera and Sam Tullis set the pace for Stoughton’s offense, each scoring two runs each. Estremera hit a triple and stole two bases including a delayed steal of home while Sam Tullis added a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the fifth. Gina Carafa pitched seven innings, striking out five while giving up one earned run.

Sharon, 1 @ Foxboro, 9 – Final – Foxboro celebrated its seniors with a hit parade, totaling 12 as a team. Emma Rohan struck out 10 while allowing just three base runners (two hits and a walk). Offensively, Kelli McCarthy went 2-4 with two RBI, Hannah Davis was 3-4 with a home run, a pair of doubles and three RBI, Kelly Fisher and Kayley Tran each went 2-4 while Chelsea Gibbons was 2-3 on the day for the Warriors.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – The Panthers used a suicide squeeze to score the winning run in bottom of the seventh for the win. Olivia DiGiacomo laid down a bunt with one out to score courtesy runner Kerry Blaney for the win. Maddie Connelly got things started in the final inning with a lead off double and moved to third on a single from Clara DeCarvalho (2-4, RBI double), who moved to second on the throw. A passed ball gave Franklin a shot to score the run but North was able to get the runner at home. After a walk to Alexx Niss (2-3, RBI double), DiGiacomo squeezed in the run. Before the winning run, Franklin rallied from a 4-2 deficit to tie the game in the sixth. Olivia Haba (2-3) led off with a single and pinch hitter Kim Moulton blasted a two-run home run to the game. Caroline D’Aprile got the win for Franklin, striking out five. Meg Barlow had three hits for the Rocketeers and Mycala Moody and Kaylea Sherman each had two.

Taunton, 2 @ King Philip, 0 – Final – Strong defense helped anchor Taunton’s season sweep over the Warriors. Taunton head coach Dave Lewry said Jordan Wade played great at shortstop and Meghan Navarro did the same at second base. Lewry also pointed to Bailey Clapp’s outfield assist in the fifth, throwing out a runner with Sarah Bagge applying the tag at home. Aimee Kistner struck out four, allowing three hits in a complete game shutout. Liana Duarte went 2-4 with a run scored and a stolen base, Jaime Brown was 1-3 with a double and Bagge went 2-3.

Milford, 15 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final (5 inn.) – Milford clinched at least a share of its fourth straight Davenport title, winning at least a share of the division ever since joining the Hockomock. Jess Tomaso was a perfect 4-4 at the plate, including a two run home run, and finished with five RBI. Kaitlyn DeCapua knocked in four runs on three hits, including a double, while Megan Jacques went 2-4 with an RBI. Kelley Reichert struck out four while scattering three hits for Milford. Jamie Gottwald went 2-2 with an RBI and a double for OA.

Foxboro, 6 @ Mansfield, 10 – Final – Mansfield built a 9-1 lead in the fourth quarter and held off a late push by the Warriors. Ryan Smith had two goals and two assists to lead the Hornets while Connor Finerty also found the back of the net twice. Josh Schafer, Sam O’Connell, Hunter Ferreira (two assists), Joe Cox, Billy Grant and Jon Reed each scored once for Mansfield. Sean Powers made 13 saves in net for the Hornets.

Franklin, 13 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final

North Attleboro, 6 @ King Philip, 8 – Final – King Philip built a 4-1 lead by the end of the first quarter and never trailed in a battle against North Attleboro. Senior Sam Agricola led the way offensively with three goals and an assist and junior Tim Watson potted two goals and had one assist. Harry Fallon had two helpers for KP while Anthony Truini, John DeLuca and Zach D’Amico (six ground balls) each scored once. Steven Eaton led the Warriors with 10 ground balls and KP head coach Jacob Kravitz praised the work of sophomore midfielder Nate Minkwitz (five ground balls) for his excellent defense.

Oliver Ames’ Erin Fitzgerald netted her 100th career goal for the Tigers in the game while Kendall Clifford also scored and Abby Duvall and Olivia Piazza each had an assist. OA’s Ariana Waldorf had 21 saves in net.

Junior Rahul Herur won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, at first singles and freshman Dan Barrow battled to a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win at third singles. Franklin swept doubles play with Tom Mancini and James Johnston winning 6-1, 6-4 at first doubles and Cam Piana and Jeremy Gan winning 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 at second doubles. North Attleboro’s Zack Pfeffer won 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 at second singles for Big Red.

Mansfield, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Mansfield kept its postseason hopes alive with a win on the road. Paulina Martin won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles, Kathleen Giffels won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and Sarah Doyle picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. Cathryn Heavey and Chloe Peters won 6-1, 6-0 at first doubles for Mansfield and freshmen Tessa Garufi and Elizabeth Elsner won 6-0, 6-1 at second doubles.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – The Bulldogs got a clean sweep in singles play and earned another win at doubles to beat Stoughton. Carly Scanlon won 6-2, 6-1 at first singles, Skyler Jabbour won 6-1, 6-0 at second singles and Jude Aboukhater won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. Canton’s Tiffany Ha and Sarah MacQuarrie won 6-0, 6-0 at first doubles. Stoughton’s Kathleen Lapommeray and Amanda Galant won 6-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7) at second doubles.

Sharon, 3 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final – Sharon clinched the Davenport division title for the second straight year, this time winning it outright. The Eagles swept doubles play while freshman Nupur Shulka rallied from a 1-5 deficit in the second set at second singles to secure the win for Sharon.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Franklin, 0 – Final – North Attleboro and Franklin battled under the lights at the new courts at FHS. North Attleboro’s Julia Mark won 6-4, 6-4 at first singles, Jordan Willis won 6-0, 6-2 at second singles and Allie Grinavic swept 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. The team of Jhanavi Kapadia and Emily Chiasson won 7-5, 6-3 at first doubles and Gabby Duva and Katie Demontigny secured a 6-3, 6-2 win at second doubles for the Rocketeers.

Milford, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – The Tigers swept singles play to secure a win over the visiting Scarlet Hawks. Riley Spillane won 6-0, 2-6, 6-0 at first singles, Valeria Tueme won 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 at second singles and Sarah Leger took a 6-4, 6-3 decision at third singles. Attleboro, 9 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Senior Tyler Stowe struck out six in six innings of work, allowing just two hits to earn the win. Will Carter went 2-2 with two RBI and a pair of stolen bases while Pat Collins also added a pair of hits and scored two runs. Head coach Matt Bosh noted the strong defense from Nate Tellier at shortstop.

Canton, 5 vs. Fairhaven, 3 – Final – Griffin Jerrier went the distance on the mound, striking out one and issuing just one walk to get the win. At the plate, Jerrier was 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Kevin Powers was 2-3 with a run scored and Joe Peccia was 2-3 with two RBI and a run scored. Jim Jenkins came through with a big hit in the third inning, knocking in a run for the Bulldogs.

Foxboro, 14 @ Dedham, 16 – Final – Jesse Galanti and Darren Kelly each had three hits for the Warriors and A.J. Cavossa added a pair of doubles and drove in three runs.

Milford, 1 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Jared Menzer tossed a complete game, scattering six hits and striking out four to earn the win for the Hornets. Jake Tryder went 2-2 with an RBI double and a run scored and Tyrone Pascual was 1-3 with an RBI triple and a run scored for Mansfield.

North Attleboro, 10 @ Central Catholic, 8 – Final – North Attleboro scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to break open a tie game and get the win. Brian Poillucci led off with a triple and scored on a single from Ridge Olsen. Brian Kleczkowski reached on a fielder’s choice and pinch runner Zach Levitsky advanced to second on a walk to Brett Cloutier. Pinch hitter Nick Pedro brought Levitsky home with a single and Bryan Harris plated Clouter with a double. Andy Katch tossed a complete game without issuing any walks, striking out five to earn the win. Sophomore Zach DeMattio paced the offense with three hits and four RBI while Poillucci also had a double in the game.

Taunton, 5 vs. Durfee, 4 – Final – Charles Hearrold III did it all for the Tigers on Tuesday morning. Hearrold III picked five innings, scattering five hits while allowing just one run. At the plate, he had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI. In the bottom of the seventh, he came home to score the winning run on a wild pitch.

Stoughton, 16 @ Milton, 3 – Final – Stoughton had 19 hits in the first game of the doubleheader, including a 3-3 day from senior Sam Tullis, who had a homerun, three RBI, and scored four runs. Nicole Bodette added three hits and six other Black Knights had a pair of hits apiece. Gina Carafa picked up her first win, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out five over four innings.

Stoughton, 6 @ Milton, 3 – Final – Freshman Karly Estremara began the game with a lead-off homer. She finished 3-3 on the day and a single shy of the cycle, while scoring three times, and recorded her fourth straight multi-hit game. Sam Tullis had three hits in both games of the doubleheader and Shannon Flaherty threw a compete game, allowing two earned runs and striking out six Milton hitters.

Boys Lacrosse
Franklin, 14 vs. Masconomet, 3 – Final – After leading by just a goal at the halftime break, the Panthers pounced in the second half. Franklin held a 4-3 lead at half before winning the second half 10-0. Senior Austin Kent had six goals and two assists and sophomore Eric Civetti scored five goals with one assist. Connor O’Rourke made seven saves in net while freshman Jacob Alexander had another huge game at the face off X.

King Philip, 8 vs. Hopkinton, 7 – Final – King Philip trailed for the majority of the game but took the lead with 1:09 left in the game behind a goal from Anthony Truini on an assist from freshman Collin DeVellis. Hopkinton leveled the game with 42 seconds to play but John DeLuca scored the game winner for the Warriors with 20 seconds to go off an assist from Harry Fallon. “I’m really proud of the way our team responded after losing tough game against Feehan to come back here and play a strong game against a strong opponent,” head coach Jacob Kravitz said. Sam Agricola had three goals and an assist for KP while Tim Watson scored once and had two assists, Fallon had a goal and an assist, Truini and DeLuca each scored once and Conor Khung came up from the defense to score a goal.

Mansfield, 7 @ Hanover, 8 – Final (OT)

North Attleboro, 10 @ Taunton, 0 – Final

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Pembroke, 12 – Final

Sharon, 9 vs. Medway, 15 – Final – Matt Cancian and Mark Bloom each scored hat tricks for the Eagles in the first half. Medway scored the opening seven goals of the second half to break open a 7-7 tie at halftime. Brett Listner, Craig Titus and Jack Lesser also scored for Sharon and Dan Spelfogel made six saves.

Hana Caster and Mackenzie Rosenberg each scored hat tricks for North. Abby Kingman scored both goals for the Tigers and goalie Lorna Li made 16 saves in the loss.

Taunton, 3 @ Norwood, 0 – Final – After dominating the first game, Taunton won a close second game and completed the sweep over Norwood in the third game. The Tigers won 25-12, 26-24, 25-18. Lance Law had 10 kills, three blocks and two aces and David Perry added eight kills and a pair of blocks. Lens Esquil contributed a strong all around game with 15 service points, five kills, four digs, three aces and three blocks for Taunton.
