Attleboro, 5 @ Sharon, 4 – FinalAttleboro scored three runs in the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie, and then stranded the tying run at second in the bottom half to earn a win on the road at Sharon. Junior Max Amaral earned the win, pitching six-plus innings while senior Anthony Deyesso got the save, getting a strikeout to strand the run at second. Offensively, the Bombardiers had nine hits, paced by junior Tim Callahan’s (RBI) three hits. Senior Mason Houle (two RBI) added two this while junior Lorenzo Wilson (RBI), junior Ryan Morry, and junior Alvaro Espinal (walk, HBP) each had one hit.

Taunton, 9 @ Canton, 3 – FinalTaunton senior Josh Lajoie allowed just one earned run on two hits, striking out seven in 5.2 innings of work to help the Tigers earn a win on the road. The Tigers scored three runs in each the sixth and seventh innings to pull away from the Bulldogs. Junior Jared Roderick paced the offense, knocking in three runs on a pair of hits and a run scored while sophomore Danny MacDougall had two hits and two RBI.

Franklin, 18 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final (6 inn.)Franklin senior Ben Guzman, junior Cody Trotin, and senior Gerard Collins combined to throw a no-hitter as the Panthers improved to 11-0 and qualified for the state tournament. Guzman allowed one unearned run on three walks and five strikeouts in five innings of work, Trotin struck out two and walked three with one earned run allowed and Collins fanned two in a scoreless seventh inning. Senior Jake Macchi paced the offense, knocking in six runs on three hits and scoring once. Seniors Scott Elliott and Alex Haba each had three hits, an RBI, and a run scored for Franklin.

King Philip, 4 @ North Attleboro, 2 – FinalKing Philip erased a 2-0 deficit, plating three runs in the fifth and adding an insurance run in the top of the seventh to record a win on the road at North Attleboro. Senior Terry Murray earned the win, allowing one earned run in 5.1 innings of work, striking out four. Senior David Morganelli got the save, striking out two in 1.2 scoreless innings of relief. Offensively, senior Tim Crowley had a pair of hits and knocked in a pair of runs, junior Robbie Jarest had two hits, an RBI, and a run scored, and junior Chris Sawyer added two hits and a run.

Mansfield, 8 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalMansfield exploded for five runs in the top of the first inning, building a lead it never relinquished in a win on the road at Stoughton. The Hornets tacked on three more runs in the top of the seventh. Offensively, Dan Saraceno (run) and Kyle Moran (two runs, RBI, walk) each had three hits for the Hornets. Mike Hargadon knocked in four runs and scored once on two hits. Junior John Carney was terrific on the mound, limiting a strong Stoughton team to just two hits while striking out 10 in six innings of work.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Milford, 7 – FinalJunior Colby Pires allowed just one run on three hits in five innings of work to lead the Scarlet Hawks to a win over visiting Oliver Ames. Pires struck out three to earn the win. Offensively, senior Tyler Almeida went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored and senior Justin Applebee had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Oliver Ames senior Jake Erlich was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.



Softball
Sharon, 0 @ Attleboro, 11 – FinalAttleboro belted out 17 hits as a team, including three home runs, to beat visiting Sharon. Senior Jordyn Lako had memorable performance, sending the first pitch she saw over the center field fence for a leadoff homer in the bottom of the first. Lako added another home run and a double, finishing with three hits. Junior Makenzie Killough (three hits) blasted a three-run homer in the fourth inning while Senior McKenzie Bergdoll also added three hits for the Bombardiers. Sophomore Lora Woyton, freshman Meghan Gordon, and sophomore Brenna Morse each had two hits. Junior Emily Gittle allowed five hits while striking out 10 to earn the win.

Canton, 0 @ Taunton, 11 – FinalSophomore Kelsey White and freshman Olyvia Mendonca combined to toss a two-hit shutout as the Tigers recorded a win over visiting Canton. White allowed one hit without issuing any walks, striking out nine in four innings while Mendonca fanned two, allowed one hit and no walks in three scoreless innings. Offensively, sophomore Hanna Aldrich three hits, including two doubles, two runs and two RBI while junior Rylie Murphy drove in three runs on two hits. Senior Alexa White added two hits, including a double, and two runs scored and sophomore McKenzie McAloon drove in two runs with a double.

Foxboro, 1 @ Franklin, 13 – FinalFranklin exploded for six runs in the fifth inning and tacked on four more in the sixth to pull away from the visiting Warriors of Foxboro. Senior Ally Shea had three hits and knocked in two runs while sophomore Gabby Colace drove in three runs on three hits. Junior Sarah Jackson and senior Tara Hartnett each had an RBI for Franklin.

North Attleboro, 7 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalAnnabelle Hebard had three hits, including a two-run homer, and drove in four runs to power the Rocketeers to their first win over KP since 2003. Alex Moulson chipped with two hits, including a solo homer, and Abby Gallagher had two hits and three runs scored. Bella Erti threw a complete game, striking out six and allowing just three hits and a single earned run.

Stoughton, 6 @ Mansfield, 5 – FinalThe Black Knights scored six runs in the sixth inning to come from behind and pull out a road win. Mansfield jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, with the runs brought in by a Caty DeMassi RBI fielder’s choice and a single by Ella Verheggen. The Hornets added a fourth run in the fourth on a one-out double by Sarah Cahill and an RBI-single from Megan Letendre. Stoughton jumped ahead with six runs on eight hits in the sixth inning. Jordan Lyons led off with her first of two singles in the inning, Nicole Baker singled and Lexi Baptista (3-for-4) drove in both with a two-run triple. Brianna Ferrandiz singled to drive in Baptista, Nikki Coppola followed with a single and Sydney Menz drove Ferrandez in with a two-out single. Karly Estremera (two hits) launched a double to score Coppola and Menz. Mansfield cut the down to one thanks to a run-scoring triple by Kara Bendanillo and a fielder’s choice off the bat of Letendre. The Hornets left 11 runners on base in the loss. Baker struck out nine to earn her eighth win of the season for Stoughton. “It was a great team effort today, to stay in the game down for five innings and come back to win,” said Stoughton coach Deb Parker. “I’m proud of this team, they work hard and never give up!”

Milford, 6 @ Oliver Ames, 8 – FinalOliver Ames played a clean game defensively to earn a win over Milford. The Tigers got contributions throughout the lineup with sophomore Grace Simone going 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI, Katie Abreu went 2-for-4 with two runs, and Katie Mills had two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Colleen Larson pitched 5.1 innings for the Tigers, allowing four runs with three strikeouts. Freshman Bella Berg struck out one and allowed two runs in 1.2 innings of relief. Lucy Creedon went 3-for-4 for Milford with a double, two runs and two RBI while Amanda Wenckus added two this, an RBI, and a run scored.

Boys Lacrosse
Oliver Ames, 9 @ Canton, 6 – FinalOliver Ames coach Ben Devlin raved about the defensive work of seniors Matt Saba, Tyler Campbell, Shane Murphy and Cullen Gallagher and said junior Nick Gillis played great in net to help the Tigers score a win on the road at Canton. Shane Kilkelly, Remi Creighton, and Sandro Masciarelli each scored twice to pace the OA offense.

Attleboro, 1 @ King Philip, 15 – FinalKing Philip seniors Andrew Sajdak and Colin DeVellis combined for 13 points as the Warriors ran away with a win against visiting Attleboro. Sajdak had four goals and three assists, DeVellis scored a hat trick and had three helpers, junior Matt Minkwitz added two goals and two assists, junior Matt Meehan scored twice with one assist, and Senior Robbie Tartaglia, Sam Mattson and Andrew Longobardi (first career goal) each scored once. Andrew McKinney made seven saves in net.

Foxboro, 8 @ Mansfield, 9 – Final (OT)Mansfield scored three goals in the final 1:12 of play to tie the game and then scored 16 seconds into overtime to stun Foxboro with an overtime win. Senior Aidan Sacco (three goals, assist) scored back-to-back goals to bring the Hornets within one and sophomore Nico Holmes (two goals, assist) scored with 10 seconds left to send the game into overtime. Holmes won the overtime face-off and found senior Connor Quirk (two goals) for the game-winner for the Hornets. Sophomores Jake Quirk and Matt Copponi each scored once for the Hornets, who trailed 5-2 at half and 7-5 entering the fourth. Senior Pete Conley had three goals and three assists while junior Shayne Kerrigan scored twice for the Warriors.

Stoughton, 5 @ Milford, 12 – FinalSophomore Evan Hazard made nine saves in net and senior Ryan Hazard paced the offense with four points as the Scarlet Hawks defeated visiting Stoughton. Hazard had three goals and an assist while senior Josh Ligor and senior Brendan White each scored two and had one helper.

Girls Lacrosse
King Philip, 18 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalJess Sullivan and Caroline Klim each scored four goals to power the Warriors to a big road win. Sullivan also added three assists to complete a seven-point day. Lily Brown scored three goals and had an assist and Olivia Tormey had a pair of goals and a pair of helpers. Mackenzie Mazur had two goals and an assist, while Julia Marsden, Jenna Hitchen, and Ali Wilson each found the back of the net once. Caroline Watson recorded five saves for KP.

Canton, 12 @ Oliver Ames, 17 – Final – Oliver Ames avenged a non-league loss to Canton from earlier in the season, earning a win in the league meeting against the Bulldogs. The Tigers had six players register points, led by senior Olivia Piazza’s six goals and one assist. Junior Ella Hogan added five goals, sophomore Emma Pereira scored three goals, and junior Olivia Carroll, junior Sam Cathie, and sophomore Emma Sharkansky each scored once in what OA head coach Nicole Lang called “a great overall team effort.” Senior Maddie Kullen made 13 saves in the win.

Mansfield, 13 @ Foxboro, 20 – FinalMansfield kept it close until the final 10 minutes when the Warriors went on a big run to close out the game and stay unbeaten in the league. Katy Garvin scored six times for the Hornets and Maggie Danehy added three goals. Kerry McCabe, Lauren Whitman, Annemarie McCoy, and Hayleigh Crawford all scored once for Mansfield.

Franklin, 20 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalFranklin junior Kelsey MacCallum scored her 100th career goal as the Panthers rolled on the road. Freshman Jill Fenerty dominated in the midfield for Franklin with five draws and two ground balls while sophomore Ali Socci netted her first career goal for Franklin.

Milford, 11 @ Norwood, 13 – FinalMilford cut a four-goal deficit down to one but couldn’t overtake the Mustangs on their home field. Emily Haley and Annie Flanagan each scored three goals, Riley Campbell and Sophia Bucal both scored twice, and Elena Bon Tempo found the back of the net once for the Hawks, who got back into the game behind some timely saves from Savannah Rosado and draw control from Annie Flanagan.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Sharon, 15 – FinalThe Eagles dominated the center circle, winning 17-of-21 draw controls, to sweep the season series with North Attleboro and jump into second place in the Davenport division. Rose Wald made nine saves to help secure the win. Emma Eberhardt scored four goals and assisted on two others, while Bridget McManus added four goals and one helper and Jenna Goldstein recorded a hat trick. Mia Lappen (one assist) and Maeve Barbera each scored twice for Sharon.

Boys Tennis
Sharon, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalSharon didn’t drop a game in any of the three singles matches and won both doubles matches in straight sets to defeat Attleboro. Senior Danujan Thirumavalavan (first singles), junior Alberto Olivei (second), and freshman Rueman Bhattacharyya (third) each won 6-0, 6-0. Sharon’s first doubles team of Max Brody and Max Chen earned a 6-1, 6-0 win while Alex Aspel and Jake Ross prevailed 6-3, 6-1 at second doubles.

Canton, 1 @ Taunton, 4 – FinalTaunton won two matches in each singles and doubles action to secure a win over Canton in a competitive contest. Brett Beaulieu won 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 at first singles and Dylan Kullas took a 6-1, 7-5 win at third singles. The team of Trevor Hart and Alex Pugh prevailed 6-1, 6-3 at first doubles while Barrett Hodgson and Tyler Goddard won 7-6, 6-2 at second doubles for Taunton. Canton sophomore Minh Duong battled to a 7-5, 1-6, 6-2 win at second singles.

Foxboro, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalThe Panthers earned wins at first and second singles and swept doubles action to protect home court against Foxboro. Liam Marr won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles while Rohan Herur took a 6-0, 6-3 decision at second singles. The team of  Lucas Gulick and Vayshnav Malhotra won 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles for the Panthers while Saket Gandham and Shoumik Sompally earned a 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 win at second doubles. Foxboro’s Bo Canfield won 6-0, 6-2 at third singles.

North Attleboro, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip senior Marco DiStefano emerged victorious in a three-set battle at second singles to give the Warriors a win over North Attleboro in a battle of top teams in the league. DiStefano earned a 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 win, Nick Putney took a 6-2, 6-3 win at first singles for KP, and Nate Ihley and Zak Ryan won 6-4, 6-1 at first doubles. North Attleboro’s Sam Gallagher earned a 6-3, 6-1 win at third singles while Saketh Uppuluri and Justin Strom prevailed 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 at second doubles.

Milford, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalOliver Ames sophomore Yusaf Hameed won his second straight match, earning a 6-2, 7-5 decision at second singles for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 1 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalMansfield took two wins in singles action and two more in doubles competition to secure a win. Luke Nickerson won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles while Luke Devine picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win at second singles. The team of Max Bank and Sethu Odayappan won 6-1, 6-2 at first doubles while the team of Dheeraj Valluru and Sam Donnellan walked away with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at second doubles. Stoughton freshman Anish Sinha picked up a 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 win at third singles.

Girls Tennis
Attleboro, 1 @ Sharon, 4 – FinalSharon’s singles players dropped a combined three games and the Eagles added another win in doubles competition to defend home court against Attleboro. Seniors Nupur Shukla (first singles) and Sophia Fein (third) each won 6-0, 6-0 while sophomore Charlize Martinez pulled out a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles. The team of Lauren Glass and Sachi Basin earned the fourth point for Sharon, winning 6-3, 6-1 at first doubles. Attleboro’s Rena Danho and Jordan Bernardo picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win at second doubles.

Taunton, 2 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCanton emerged with a victory in a battle of two talented teams, taking two wins in singles play and one more in doubles action. Rachel Kupferman won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Natalie Keppler earned a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles, and the team of Kiara Cerruti and Lily Hazam prevailed 6-1, 6-2 at second doubles for the Bulldogs. Taunton’s Jocelyn Pagliuca won 6-1, 7-5 at third singles while Sam Martin and Brianna Fevrier picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles.

Franklin, 0 @ Foxboro, 5 – FinalFoxboro won all five matches in straight sets to defend home court against visiting Franklin. Pam Nelson (first singles) and Sarah Prag (second) each won 6-0, 6-0 while Paige Krockta battled to a 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 win at third singles. The team of Kendall Milender and Julia Muise notched a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles while Maggie McAuliffe and Kethry Milne teamed up for a 6-1, 6-2 win at second doubles.

King Philip, 4 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalKing Philip swept singles action and tacked on one more win at second doubles to earn a road win over North. Erin Regnier earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, Katarina Schneider took a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles, and Mia Valencia won 6-1, 6-3 at third singles. The team of Isabella MacMeans and Meghan Powers secured a 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 win at second doubles. North Attleboro’s Sam Martino and Haley Strom prevailed 6-3, 6-3 at first doubles.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Milford, 0 – FinalOliver Ames went on the road and won all five matches in straight sets to secure a victory over Milford. Sarah Leger won 6-0, 6-3 at first singles, Maura Kiernan picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles, and Kate McCormick earned a 6-2, 6-4 decision at third singles. The team of Eva Belanger and Morgan Vasiliou picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win at first doubles while OA’s second doubles team of Erika Mekler and Sarah Barron secured a 6-2, 6-2 victory.

Mansfield, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalMansfield picked up two wins in singles competition and two more in doubles action to beat the Black Knights. Lizzy Elsner (first singles) and Kate Martin (second) each won 6-1, 6-1, the team of Hannah Podolske and Sam Sternburg picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles, and Lauren Hobaica teamed up with Alex Burnham for a 6-1, 6-2 win at second doubles for the Hornets. Stoughton’s Jess Podesta rallied for a 2-6, 6-4, 12-10 win at third singles.

Boys Volleyball
King Philip, 3 @ Norton, 0 – FinalThe Warriors improved to 10-2 on the season with its second sweep of Norton of the season, winning 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-19). Jimmy Peterson and Eric Altobello each had eight kills to pace the offense while Mike O’Brien had five kills and a block in his first game playing middle. Kyle Desrochers (10 digs) and Max Armour (eight digs) anchored the defense while Alex Bernhard finished with 14 service points.

Milford, 3 @ Millis, 0 – FinalMilford picked up its 11th win of the season with a 3-0 sweep (25-16, 25-19, 25-16) on the road at Millis. Tiago Filadelfo paced the Hawks offense with seven kills and four digs while Zach Browne added nine kills and four digs.

Taunton, 3 vs. New Bedford, 0 – FinalTaunton defended home court, sweeping visiting New Bedford, 3-0 (25-8, 25-15, 25-20). Sophomore Tyler Stewart netted a team-high 13 kills and two blocks, Gage Kingman notched six kills, 13 digs, a block, and an ace, and Chris LaCourse chipped in with 23 assists and three blocks.

King Philip, 2 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final (12 Inn.)In a game continued from Tuesday, Attleboro earned a walk off win on a sacrifice fly in 12 innings to beat King Philip. In the bottom of the 12th, Robbie Furtado walked, stole second, moved to third on a single from Sam Larkin and scored the winning run on Troy Van Vliet’s sacrifice fly. Eoin Kelleher pitched three scoreless innings in relief on Wednesday, which started in the top of the 10th inning after the game was called through nine innings due to darkness on Tuesday. Ryan Morry had a strong outing, going 6.2 innings while Max Amaral tossed 2.2 scoreless innings in relief.

Sharon, 6 @ Canton, 21 – FinalCanton senior Matt Pigeon went 5-for-5 with an RBI and five runs scored to pace the Bulldogs to a big win over visiting Sharon. Matt Connolly added three hits, three RBI and two runs scored for Canton, which totaled 19 hits as a team. Paul Corcoran knocked in a team-high four runs on two hits and three runs scored.

Stoughton, 8 @ Foxboro, 4 – FinalStoughton pounded out 12 hits and scored at least once in each of the first five innings, including three runs in the fifth to jump out to an 8-1 lead over Foxboro. Junior George Currier led the way with three hits, an RBI, and a run scored while Robbie Seaman (RBI, two runs) and Michael Nazzaro (two doubles, RBI, run scored) each had two hits for the Black Knights, who had seven stolen bases on the day. Anthony Mollica and Joe Cavaleri each had two hits for Foxboro. Stoughton’s Evan Jackman earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs (one earned) in five innings of work with five hits, five walks, and three strikeouts.

Mansfield, 7 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalMansfield uses a five-run fourth inning to create the necessary separation in a win on the road at Frothingham. The Hornets took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third and added another single run in the fifth inning. Chris Jenkins had a team-high three hits out of the nine hole, adding an RBI and two runs scored for the Hornets. Dan Saraceno (RBI), John Carney, and Nick Dumouchel (two runs, RB) each had two hits for the Hornets. Carney got the win, allowing just four hits and two walks in six shutout innings, striking out eight. Nick Boudreau had a strong relief performance for the Tigers, allowing one unearned run on six hits, three strikeouts and no walks in 3.1 innings of work.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Milford, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro broke a tie game with a run in the top of the fifth and added an insurance run in the seventh to get a win on the road at Fino Field. The Hawks scored in the first and second innings to take a 2-0 lead but North Attleboro plated three runs in the top of the third to jump ahead. Jared Penta reached on an infield error, stole second, got to third on a ground out and scored on a Todd Robinson fielder’s choice. Brendan McHugh drew a two-out walk, stole second, scored on a Nick Raneri single to right. Raneri advanced to third on a Dennis Colleran double and scored on an infield single from Jake Palmer to make it 3-2. Milford tied the game in the bottom of the fourth but the Rocketeers jumped back ahead a half inning later. After North loaded the bases with no outs, Milford sophomore Mario Lee came in and limited the Rocketeers to just one run on an infield error. Milford nearly had the tying run in the bottom of the sixth but a terrific relay throw from Shawn Watters was in time for the out at home. Matt Seavey came on in relief for North Attleboro, getting two outs with the tying run at third.

Softball
Attleboro, 3 @ King Philip, 6 – FinalKing Philip erased a 3-0 deficit, plating three runs in each the fifth and sixth innings to secure a win over the Bombardiers. Paige Berdos and Ryan Stagg had singles to start the fifth and both scored on a single from Meg Gorman. Gorman stole home to tie the game 3-3. Gorman came up big in the sixth, knocking in Grace Kelley and Stagg, who had both singled. Faith Turinese pitched a solid game, striking out 6 with six hits allowed and one walk.

Taunton, 1 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin junior Sarah Jackson hit her second home run in as many games, this one a solo shot that broke a 1-1 tie to give the Panthers an upset win over Taunton, snapped the Tigers’ 28-game win streak dating back to last April. The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth when Hanna Aldrich drove in Jaime Brown (two hits, two walks). Ally Shea led off the bottom of the fourth with a single and moved to second on an infield error. Courtesy runner Molly Collins scored on a two-out single from Maddy White to make it 1-1. Jackson broke the tie with a solo homer in the bottom of the fifth. Jackie Cherry earned the win, allowing five hits while strikeout out four. Kelsey White was solid in the circle for Taunton, striking out six.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Mansfield, 12 – Final (5 inn.)Sarah Cahill tossed a five-inning shutout and Ella Verheggen paced the Mansfield offense with three hits and five RBI to help the Hornets extend their win streak to four games. Cahill allowed only three hits and struck out six. Kara Bendanillo also had a pair of hits for Mansfield. Katie Abreu hit a double and Emma Varella added a single for the Tigers.

Milford, 0 @ North Attleboro, 16 – Final (5 inn.)North Attleboro junior Bella Erti struck out 14, recording her 300th career strikeout, to lead the Rocketeers to a win over visiting Milford. Erti, Mandi Hanewich, Katie Daby, and Annebelle Hebard each had two hits to pace the North Attleboro offense. Abby Gallagher scored three runs and Alivia Byrne scored twice for North.

Boys Lacrosse
Stoughton, 2 @ Canton, 13 – FinalCanton scored less than a minute in, raced out to a 6-0 lead after a quarter, and never looked back in a win over Stoughton. Tommy Vaughan led the way with six goals and one assist for the Bulldogs. Griffin Roach, Andrew Canto, and Brendan Clifford each scored two goals and Dan Cohen added one as well.

Attleboro, 5 @ Mansfield, 14 – FinalMansfield built a 7-2 lead at halftime and carried that momentum in the second half to earn a win over Attleboro. Aidan Sacco and Brian Grant each scored once and had one helper and Jake DiSangro scored once for the Hornets. Joe Plath made seven saves in three quarters of play.

The Tigers got within one, down 5-4, in the second but KP rattled off three straight goals, including a final tally from Robbie Tartaglia (two goals) with under a minute to go that was set up by a tremendous defensive play by Sean Cullugh. Colin DeVellis led the way with three goals, Andrew Sajdak added two goals and an assist, and Brian McCarthy scored one and had one helper. Tyler Bartlett, Matt Minkwitz, and Kevin Riggs each scored once for KP. Shane Kilkelly led Oliver Ames with three goals while Nick Gillis had a strong game in net for the Tigers.

Lauren Whitman added six goals and Olivia Murray had a hat trick for the Hornets. Kerry McCabe, Grace Fernandez, Annemarie McCoy, Maggie Danehy, and Paige Peterson all scored once for Mansfield.

Franklin, 19 @ Sharon, 6 – FinalAnnie Walsh had nine points, five goals and four assists, to lead Franklin to the win. It was the third straight game that the Panthers had held an opponent to six goals or fewer. Kelsey MacCallum added four goals and Jackie O’Neil had a goal and three assists in the win. Franklin goalie Gianna Cameron made six saves. Sharon was led by Emma Eberhardt, who scored four of the team’s six goals. Jenna Goldstein and Bridget McManus each scored for the Eagles and McManus also had a pair of assists. Rose Wald came up with 12 saves against the Franklin attack.

Oliver Ames, 6 @ King Philip, 19 – FinalKP continued its strong start to league play with a convincing win on home turf. Olivia Tormey was the top scorer for the Warriors with five goals and a pair of assists. Mackenzie Mazur and Caroline Klim each had hat tricks and Jess Sullivan added a two goals and an assist for KP. Victoria Tormey (two goals) and Shayla Weitzman (goal and an assist) each scored two points and Haley Izydorczak, Dana Truini, and Lily Brown each had a goal. Weitzman also scooped five ground balls and Ava Tormey had a strong defensive game for the Warriors, according to KP coach Kourtnie Wilder. Caroline Watson had four saves in the win. Oliver Ames’ Olivia Piazza had two goals and three assists while Maddie Kullen made 15 saves in net for the Tigers.

The team of Lauren Glass and Maikala Cheung secured a 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 win at first doubles. Taunton’s Ogechi Ariguzo and Kayla Parrett earned a hard fought 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) win at second doubles.

Milford, 2 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalThe Rocketeers took two wins in singles action and one more in doubles play to defend home court against Milford. Tara Nair won 6-3, 6-2 at first singles and Olivia Wills earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at at third singles for North, while the team of Sam Martino and Hayley Strom picked up a 7-6 (7-1), 6-0 win at first doubles. Juliana France (second singles, 6-1, 6-4) and the team of Cristielly Prado and Ketny Sousa (second doubles, 3-6, 7-6 [7-5], 10-6) won for Milford.

King Philip, 3 vs. Keefe Tech, 0 – FinalKing Philip defended home court on Wednesday evening, earning a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-19, 25-15) over visiting Keefe Tech. Kyle Desrochers had a strong day serving with 13 service points and anchored the defense with a team-high eight digs. Max Armour added seven digs and Cam Corey (24 assists) added six digs. Eric Altobello (nine kills) and Jimmy Peterson (eight kills, five blocks) anchored net play for KP.

Taunton, 3 vs. Dighton-Rehoboth, 0 – FinalTaunton’s Alex Tavares (eight kills), Damir Santiago (seven kills), Tyler Stewart (six kills), and Gage Kingman (five kills) combined for 26 kills in a well-balanced attack, leading the Tigers to a 3-0 sweep (25-15, 25-21, 25-19) of Dighton-Rehoboth. Tavares also had a block and three aces, Santiago chipped in with a block, Stewart was strong with four blocks, and Kingman finished with 10 digs and two aces for the Tigers.
