Attleboro, 1 @ Taunton, 9 – FinalTaunton grabbed the lead with two runs in the third inning and then broke the game open with a four-run fifth inning and a three-run sixth inning. Tyler Medeiros and William DaRosa each knocked in three runs to pace the Tigers offense while Medeiros earned the win on the mound. Medeiros pitched six innings, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while fanning nine batters. Chris Gomes added three hits and three runs and Jacob Crawford had two hits and three runs scored for the Tigers.

Canton, 0 @ Stoughton, 7 – FinalStoughton senior Ryan Sullivan pitched five scoreless innings to earn his third win of the season. Justin Hutchinson went 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple, two runs scored and two RBI. Matt Gallagher and Jack Connelly each pitched a scoreless inning of relief for the Black Knights.

Foxboro, 2 @ North Attleboro, 5 – FinalNorth Attleboro plated three runs in the third inning and added two more in the fourth inning to beat Foxboro. Junior Zach DeMattio had a big day at the plate, knocking in four runs and scoring the fifth. In the third, Nick Sinacola (infield hit) and Nate Pearce (single) reached before DeMattio brought both home with a double. DeMattio scored the third run when John Brennan drew a bases loaded walk. In the fourth, Sinacola had another single and DeMattio launched a two-run home run. Sinacola earned the win on the mound, striking out five in four innings of work with just two hits allowed. Peter Cohen allowed one run on two hits and two walks in three innings of relief.

Franklin, 5 @ King Philip, 0 – FinalFranklin junior Jake Noviello tossed a complete game shutout, striking out three while scattering five hits and three walks to earn the win. Offensively, Cam Lupien had a team-high three hits and added an RBI while both Tyler Gomes and Alex Haba had two hits and two runs scored. Franklin clinched the Kelley-Rex division title outright with the win.

Stoughton, 10 @ Canton, 5 – FinalStoughton took a 5-0 lead in the opening innings only to have Canton rally to tie the game in the fourth. The Black Knights regained the lead in the top of the sixth when Alessandra Loffredo beat out an infield single on a two-out grounder that plated Taylor Levine. Karly Estremera went 3-for-4 for Stoughton, scored three runs, and drove in a pair. Brianna Ferrandiz and Jordan Lyons each had two hits and Gina Carafa picked up the win with six strikeouts.

North Attleboro, 11 @ Foxboro, 12 – Final (8 inn.)North Attleboro’s Meg Barlow (three hits) and Bella Erti (two hits) each had a double and home run but the Rocketeers fell in extra innings. Olivia Capobianco also had three hits and Kristina Murphy and Sam Courtemanche each had two hits for North Attleboro.

King Philip, 6 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin took a 2-1 lead heading into the final inning but KP rallied for five runs to earn the win. Ally Shea scored both runs for the Panthers while Alexx Niss and Clara DeCarvalho each recording an RBI. Olivia DiGiacomo added two hits for Franklin.

Foxboro, 9 vs. Xaverian, 11 – Final

Mansfield, 8 vs. St. John’s Shrewsbury, 19 – FinalMansfield was within two at halftime, trailing just 7-5, but the Pioneers pulled away in the second half. Cullen Murphy and Josh London played well defensively in front of Jack Munroe, who played well in net. Sam O’Connell and Hunter Ferreira paced the Hornets’ offense.

Attleboro, 9 @ Norton, 8 – FinalAttleboro junior Ali Wall netted the game-winning goal with just four seconds left to lift the Bombardiers over Norton. Kyra Lyons, Mish Logie and Emily Patton each recorded multiple goals in the win.

North Attleboro, 8 vs. Walpole, 14 – FinalChloe Olsen and Kenzie Rosenberg each recorded a hat trick but Big Red fell to Walpole. Kaylin Moulin made 12 saves in goal while Emily Schromm and Olsen each had five draw controls.

Taunton, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalTaunton lost just two games in singles action and two more in doubles play in a clean sweep on the road. Olivia Sweeney won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles, Jordan Pagliuca notched a 6-0, 6-1 victory at second singles and Jillian Pagliuca grabbed a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. Taunton’s first doubles team of Ashleigh Eason and Emily Moor won 6-0, 6-0 at first doubles and Caroline Hebert and Jordan Martin secured a 6-1, 6-1 decision at second doubles.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalCanton swept singles play and took one more win in doubles play to beat Stoughton. Emma Sokolovsky won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles, Jamie Cree recorded a 3-6, 6-3, 14-12 win at second singles and Kiki Kavaras grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of Julia Burkowsky and Jena Moyle prevailed 6-4, 6-4 at first doubles. The second doubles match did not finish due to rain.

Today’s games are listed below. The list is updated with all changes we have received.

Baseball
Stoughton, 6 @ Canton, 3 – FinalFor the second straight game, Stoughton rallied from a deficit and plated the game-winning runs in the seventh innings. Jackson Maffeo’s three-run home run put the Bulldogs ahead 3-0 but Stoughton chipped away, tying the game with two runs in the sixth and went ahead with three runs in the seventh. Ryan Sullivan and Jack Connelly each had a single in the sixth and both came around to score to tie the game. Nick Hardy doubled to lead off the top of the seventh, advanced to third and came home on a double from Sullivan. Luke Johnson followed with a two-run double to put Stoughton up 6-3. Justin Hutchinson earned his seventh win of the seven, tossing three hitless innings with seven strikeouts. Hutchinson struck out the side in the sixth and retired the side in order in the bottom of the seventh.

Foxboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalMansfield’s Colin Gibbons launched a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Hornets a close win over Foxboro. Mansfield took the lead in the bottom of the second when Anthony DeGiolamo (1-for-2) drove in Cullin Anastsia (2-for-3). Foxboro tied the game in the top of the third when Anthony Mollica knocked in John Cronin. Gibbons finished with two hits in the game. Connor Sheehan earned the win in a complete game effort, allowing just four hits while striking out four.

King Philip, 1 @ Sharon, 3 – FinalSharon junior Max Tarlin tossed a complete game and the Eagles’ offense did all of its damage early to notch a non-league win over KP. Tarlin allows five hits, five walks, one earned run and struck out seven in a complete game effort to earn the win. After Ben Stamm battled for a single, junior Drew Naisuler (2-for-3, double) launched a two-run home run to put the Eagles head. Aiden Arnold (2-for-2) followed that with a triple and scored on a single from Danny Emerman. SHS head coach Kee Arguimbau said senior Jake Marglous played incredible defense at catcher for the Eagles.

Milford, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – Final

Softball
Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 13 – FinalNikki Coppola went 4-for-4 with two triples and four runs scored and Karly Estremera went 4-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI to power the Black Knights offense. Gina Carafa had three hits and three RBI and got the win with six innings of work, striking out nine. Shannon Flaherty also had a pair of hits and drove in two for Stoughton. Canton was led offensively by Molly Loughran, who was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles.

Franklin, 9 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalFranklin scored three runs in the third and added three more in the sixth inning to beat Foxboro in a game continued from Sunday (rain). Franklin held a 1-0 lead when the game resumed. Olivia DiGiacomo (four RBI) went 3-for-4 and put an exclamation point on the day with a bases-clearing double in the sixth inning. Kylie Bouzan added two hits and scored a pair for runs for Franklin. Jackie Cherry pitched four innings, retiring the side in order in the first, second and third innings. Emily Valentino pitched the last three innings and recorded three strikeouts. FHS head coach Kate Fallon Comeau said Tara Hartnett played excellent defense at shortstop.

King Philip, 3 @ Milford, 6 – FinalHolding a 3-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth, Milford tacked on three runs and then held off King Philip’s late comeback attempt. Shannon Cormier went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a run scored and an RBI, Kaitlin DeCapua had an RBI single, Maddy Bonvino had two hits, including a double, and a run scored and Emily Piergustavo reached base four times and scored one run. Ali Atherton (three strikeouts) earned the win, escaping a pair of jams in both the sixth and seventh innings. King Philip’s Hailey McCasland, Jenn Hutnyan, Jess Bonner and Nicole Carter each had two hits apiece for the Warriors.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Walpole, 13 – Final Lexie Campbell had a pair of hits while Victoria Ziner (double), Caroline Mahoney and Katie Mills had recorded one hit for the Tigers.

Taunton, 24 @ New Bedford, 0 – Final (5 Innings)Taunton booked its place in the state tournament with a dominating win against the Whalers. Courtney Fisher and Jaylin Couto combined on a one-hitter and struck out 11 batters. Kya Enos went 3-for-3 with four RBI and homer, Rebekah Lajoie went 5-for-5 with five RBI and a homerun and eighth grader Hannah Aldrich drove in four for the Tigers. Katie Van Zandt (three RBI) and Alexa White also hit homers for Taunton.

Boys Lacrosse
Canton, 8 @ Mansfield, 10 – FinalMansfield goalie Sean Powers turned away 12 shots and Sam O’Connell accounted for four points as the Hornets clipped Canton. Tommy Donnelly and Mike Zampine had strong games on defense in front of Powers. O’Connell scored a hat trick and had one assist while Aidan Sacco scored twice and Cullen Murphy, Hunter Ferreira, Joe Cox and Brad Grant each had a goal and an assist. Danny DeGirolamo also scored once for Mansfield.

Martin Matous won 6-3, 6-2 at second singles and Marco DiStefano recorded a 6-2, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of Sam Collela and Ryan Gemelli prevailed 6-3, 6-3 at first doubles and Aidan Ignatius and Jake Webster won 6-2, 6-2 at second doubles. Canton junior Jake Wolicki earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at first singles.

Sharon, 4 vs. Bishop Feehan, 1 – FinalSharon picked up an impressive non-league win, sweeping doubles play and notching two wins in singles play to beat the Shamrocks. The team of senior Alex Romantz and sophomore Danujan Thirumavalavan won 6-1, 6-7, 6-2 at first doubles and Ashwin Sreevatsa and Alberto Olivei won 6-4, 6-3 at second doubles. Fred Bondar notched a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles and junior Andre Olivei recorded a 6-4, 6-3 win at third singles.

Taunton, 5 @ New Bedford, 0 – FinalTaunton recorded its third straight win with a rout of New Bedford. Sophomore Brett Beaulieu won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Mike Briggs recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles and Eric Gwordz won 6-0, 6-2 at third singles. The team of Charlie Fiske and Dylan Kullas prevailed with a 6-0, 6-1 win at first doubles and Kyle Dennehy and Alex Pugh won 6-0, 6-3 at second doubles.

Torey Lussier won 6-3, 6-1 at first singles, Bri Aronne won 7-5, 6-1 at second singles and Anna Nelson emerged from third singles with a 6-1, 6-4 victory. The team of Taylor Palermo and Merri Piazza nothched a 7-5, 6-7 (3-7), 7-5 win at first doubles and seniors Brooklyn Palermo and Cam Liberatore won 6-0, 6-3 at second doubles.

Canton, 3 @ Milford, 2 – FinalCanton swept doubles play and earned a win at third singles to edge Milford on the road. Kiki Karavas won 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 at third singles to help the Bulldogs clinch the match. The team of Julia Burkowsky and Jena Moyle won 7-5, 6-2 and Stelina Michaelidis and Sarah Hernandez won 6-1, 7-5 at second doubles. Milford’s Julie Rabinowitz won 7-5, 6-1 at first singles and Allison Buckenmaier won 6-2, 6-2 at second singles.

The team of Emily Moor and Ashleigh Eason won without a blemish, picking up a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles. Callie Hebert and Jordan Martin recorded a 6-1, 6-2 win at second doubles. In singles play, Olivia Sweeney (first) won 6-1, 6-0, Jordan Pagliuca (second) won 6-3, 6-1 and Jillian Pagliuca (third) won 6-3, 6-2.

Milford, 78 @ Canton, 58 – FinalCanton’s Muhammed Sambo and Cordell Smith each qualified for states but the Bulldogs fell to Milford. Sambo came in first in the 200M at 23.1 while Smith finished first in the high jump (5’10). Gerry Sullivan also came in first for the Bulldogs, clocking in at 2:11.9 in the 800M. Canton swept the 400M hurdles with John Guenthner coming in first (1:01.1), Matt Floyd (1:03.6) coming in second and Riley McDonnell (1:04.00) taking third.

Girls Track
Milford, 78 @ Canton, 58 – FinalCanton’s Bronwyn Mahoney and Sarah Collins each won a pair of events but Milford prevailed with a win. Mahoney took first in the shot put (29’6.5″) and discus (68’8″) and Collins won the 400M hurdles (71.5) and the 800M (2:34.5). Andrea McNeil was first in the one mile (5:57.4) and second in the 800M (2:37.3) and Jimisha Williams crossed first in the 200M (28.0).

Taunton, 2 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalAttleboro erased a two-run deficit with four runs in the fifth inning and tacked on an insurance run in the sixth to hand Taunton its second loss of the season. Big Blue scored on a bases-loaded walk, a two-run error and Dylan Maskell came through with an RBI single to give Attleboro a 4-2 lead. Matt Callahan (two hits) delivered an RBI triple in the sixth inning for Attleboro. Sophomore Eoin Kelleher earned the win with a complete game effort, allowing five hits while retiring five batters on strikes.

Softball
Taunton, 11 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalTaunton senior Courtney Fisher tossed a perfect game, retiring all 21 batters that she faced, in the Tigers’ win. Fisher struck out eight and made a terrific play, snagging a line drive up the middle with one out in the seventh, to preserve the perfect game. THS head coach Dave Lewry said Hannah Aldrich also made a great play in the first, playing a bad hop grounder off her chest and gunning the runner out at first. Jaime Brown was 2-for-2 with a walk and two RBI, MacKenzie Handrahan went 2-for-3 with an RBI, freshman Jaylin Couto went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a home run and eighth grader McKenzie McAloon had two hits, a stolen base and an RBI for the Tigers.

Junior Mike Briggs won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles, senior Eric Gwozdz notched a 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 win at third singles and the team of sophomores Dylan Kullas and Charlie Fiske won 7-5, 6-4 at first doubles.

Canton, 5 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalCanton junior Jake Wolicki didn’t lose a game at first singles and the Bulldogs won all five matches in straight sets to beat Stoughton. Wolicki won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Jeevith Chandrasekar won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and Josh Diep notched a 7-5, 6-1 win at third singles. The team of Aidas Jakubenas and Dillon Anderson won 7-5, 6-1 at first doubles and Jake Troderman and Charles Malloy recorded a 6-0, 6-4 win at second doubles.

Olivia Sweeney (first singles), Jillian Pagliuca (second singles) and the team of Ashleigh Eason and Emily Moor (first doubles) all won 6-0, 6-0. Vanessa Rosa won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles and the team of Callie Hebert and Jordan Martin took a 6-1, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Canton, 40 @ Sharon, 95 – FinalCanton’s Sarah Collins was a double winner, taking first in the 400M hurdles (1:11.1) and in the 800M (2:33.5) Erika Lum was first in the high jump (4-10) and second in the 100M (13.1) and Bronwyn Mahoney took second in the discus (77-1.5) and second in the shot put (30-9.5) for the Bulldogs.

Mansfield, 55 @ Franklin, 81 – FinalMansfield junior Madison Haughey was a double winner, taking first in the high jump (4-9) and the 100M hurdles (16.8), junior Angela Corkery finished first in the triple jump (32-4) and second in the long jump (15-2) and freshman Lindsey Goulding won the javelin (78-9). Mansfield’s 4×100 team (Olivia Horn, Emily Quitzu, Angela Corkery, Alexis Kiyanda) and its 4×400 team (Cassidy McMahon, Emma Oldow, Audrey Martin, Caitlin Whitman) both came in first.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final (9 inn.)Attleboro’s Eoin Kelleher reached on an error to start the ninth scored the winning run at Mason Field when Rob Furtado draw a bases-loaded walk. Senior Dylan Maskell had a very strong outing for the Bombardiers, tossing eight innings with five hits allowed, no earned runs and five strikeouts. Kelleher pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win. Attleboro took the lead with two runs in the third but North clawed back with single runs in the fourth and fifth to tie the game.

Franklin, 12 @ Canton, 4 – FinalFranklin’s offense got going early, plating three runs in each the first and second innings to earn a win over the Bulldogs. Jason Ulrickson earned the win in four innings of work, striking out four with just one earned allowed. Ulrickson also knocked in a pair of runs to help the offense. Both Jake Lyons (three runs, RBI) and Ryan Hodgkins (two runs, two RBI) went 3-for-3 while Cam Benham had two RBI and Matt Foley chipped in with two hits and two runs scored.

Sharon, 3 @ Milford, 4 – FinalMilford senior Nate Irwin threw a complete game, scattering six hits along with one walk while fanning five batters to earn the win. The Scarlet Hawks scored single runs in the first and third and tacked on two more in the fourth. Sharon scored one run in each the first, fourth and sixth innings. Anthony Arcudi (1-for-3, two runs, RBI double), Ryan Goncalves (2-for-4, run) and Alex Coady (1-for-3, RBI double) paced Milford’s offense. Aiden Arnold went 2-for-3 with a double and Drew Naisuler was 2-for-3 with a run for Sharon.

North Attleboro, 13 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final (5 inn.) North Attleboro utilized some small ball to pick up its sixth win of the season. Bella Erti struck out two, allowed six hits and walked one in five innings of work in the circle to earn the win for Big Red. Liz Morehouse had a pair of hits and knocked in four runs, Meg Barlow went 3-for-4 and both Andrea Miceli and Erti had two hits. Abby Gallagher and Sam Courtemanche both knocked in a pair of runs for the Rocketeers.

Canton, 0 @ Franklin, 9 – FinalJackie Cherry and Emily Valentino combined for nine strikeouts in the shutout win over Canton. “It was a solid team win,” said head coach Kate Fallon-Comeau. “Everyone contributed and did their jobs.”

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Mansfield, 11 – FinalMansfield pounded out 14 hits as a team and got run support for Sarah Cahill early on in a division win. The Hornets played two runs in the first inning, scoring off a single from Kara Bendanillo and a double from Megan Letendre. Mansfield added four runs in the second, capitalizing on singles from Kerran Holmes (3-for-4), Caty DeMassi (two hits) and Liz Mackin (two hits). Mady Bendanillo (two hits) hit a solo home run in the fourth. Sarah Bradley also had two hits for Mansfield. Cahill struck out two, and gave up four hits while earning the win. For Oliver Ames, Katie Abreu was 2-for-3 with two RBI, Victoria Ziner (eight putouts) was 1-for-3 with two runs and Marissa Guarino (1-for-1)
and Lexie Campbell each scored once.

Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 11 vs. Norton, 6 – FinalAlex Banner (two goals, three assists) notched a team-high five points while Zach Viau and Andrew Milliken (assist) each recorded a hat trick to pace Attleboro past Norton. Trevor Koppy made 12 saves in net while Matt Potter had nine ground balls.

Foxboro, 5 @ North Attleboro, 6 – FinalNorth Attleboro scored three goals in the fourth quarter and kept the Warriors off the board to complete the comeback win. The game was tied 2-2 at halftime before Foxboro seized the lead with third goals in the third quarter. However, Big Red scored three unanswered goals, starting with Nick Moore and Jason McNeany (assist). Senior Colin Young scored the game-winner with under three minutes to play. Jack Dakin added two goals, Zach McGowan scored once and had two assists and Owen Costello had one assist. Dan MacDonald made 13 saves in net and also had one assist.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro prevailed with a sweep of rival Attleboro, taking all five matches in straight sets. Zac Pfeffer won 6-4, 6-2 at first singles, Barsomo Nuay won 6-1, 6-0 at second singles and Alex Rinaldi won 6-0, 6-1 at third singles. Daniel Zhang and Ben Pfeffer walked away with a 6-1, 6-2 win at first doubles and Andrew Harris and Vikram Senthilakumaran won 6-0, 6-0 at second doubles.

Canton, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – FinalFranklin’s Rahul Herur walked away with a win at first singles after a marathon battle with Canton’s Jake Wolicki. Herur prevailed 5-7, 6-3, 10-8. Eli Brooks took second singles 6-3, 6-2 and Rohan Herur won 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) at third singles. James Johnston and Derek Wu notched a 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles and Tyler DiPalma and Rahul Hosdurg won 6-3, 6-0 at second doubles.

Attleboro, 1 @ North Attleboro, 4 – FinalNorth Attleboro didn’t drop a game in either first or second singles play in a win over Attleboro. Emily Chiasson and Jordan Willis each won 6-0, 6-0 at first and second singles, respectively. The team of Gabby Duva and Katie Demontigny won 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles and Leah Marceau and Tara Nair notched a 6-4, 6-1 win at second doubles. Attleboro’s Anna Nelson recorded a 6-4, 2-6, 10-5 win at third singles for the Bombardiers.

Franklin, 2 @ Canton, 3 – FinalFranklin dropped just two games in winning first and second singles but Canton’s second doubles team prevailed in three sets to help the Bulldogs earn the win. Hannah Sweeney won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles and Anja Deric won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles for the Panthers. Canton’s team of Stelina Michaelidis and Sarah Hernandez battled back to win 6-7 (3-7), 6-2, 6-0 at second doubles. Kiki Karavas won 6-4, 6-3 at third singles and Julia Burkowski and Jena Moyle won 6-1, 6-2 at first doubles for Canton.

Mansfield, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalMansfield swept singles play and won all four of its victories in straight sets to knock off Oliver Ames. Senior Paulina Martin won 6-1, 6-1 at first singles, junior Sarah Doyle won 6-0, 6-4 at second singles and sophomore Elizabeth Elsner took third singles 6-3, 6-4. The team of senior Chloe Peters and sophomore Tessa Garufi won 6-3, 6-4 at first doubles. Oliver Ames’ Catherine Murphy and Ana Serjak won 7-5, 5-7, 6-2 at doubles.

Attleboro, 41 @ Mansfield, 91 – FinalMansfield senior Caitlin Whitman made the switch to the 400M hurdles and prevailed as the winner, crossing in 71.1. Whitman also anchored the 4×400 team that finished first. Senior Jordan Brill-Cass ran a PR in the 200M, clocking in a 26.3 while also participating on the winning 4×100 team. Sopohomores Val Buonora (800) and Maggie Riley (2 Mile) picked up wins as well.

Attleboro, 9 @ Canton, 4 – FinalAttleboro senior Tyler McGovern tossed four-plus innings with just one hit allowed, striking out six to earn the win. Sophomore Troy Van Vliet paced the offense, connecting for a pair of doubles, knocking in three runs and scoring two runs of his own.

Franklin, 5 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalFive different Panthers recorded a hit and junior Jake Noviello shined in his season debut on the mound to lead Franklin past North Attleboro. Noviello tosses six inning, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out seven. Bryan Woelfel struck out two in a shutout inning in relief. Noviello also recorded a hit and scored a run on offense. Sophomore Alex Haba went 1/3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored, senior Cam Lupien added a hit, a run and an RBI, senior Josh Macchi had a double and a run scored and senior Jake Lyons had an RBI and a hit for the Panthers.

Milford, 2 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalKing Philip senior Chris Wing tosses six innings, allowing just a pair of hits while retiring the side in order in each the second, fourth, fifth and sixth innings. Sophomore Jack Webster recorded the save. Offensively, the Warriors notched eight hits as a team with Collin Cooke (RBI) and Ryan Coulter each recording two. Ben Furfari knocked in a pair of runs and Webster also had an RBI.

Stoughton, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 6 – FinalOliver Ames scored a pair of runs in both the third and fourth innings while tacking on single runs in the first and sixth innings to open the season with a win. Junior Matt Muir went 2-for-4 with a pair of triples and a pair of runs scored while senior Kyle Gagliardi was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI. Sam Burr earned the win on the mound, scattering six hits over 6.1 innings with two runs allowed.

Franklin, 1 @ North Attleboro, 2 – FinalNorth rallied from a run down in the bottom of the seventh inning to open the season with a win. Sam Courtemanche led-off the inning with a double. Ashley Cangiano came in to run and scored on an Abbie Gallagher grounder. With the bases loaded, Meg Barlow (2-for-3) provided the walk-off hit with a double. Bella Erti threw a complete game for North with four strikeouts and five hits allowed.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Stoughton, 6 – FinalGina Carafa threw a five-hit shutout for the Black Knights, striking out eight and only walking one. Alessandra Loffredo provided Stoughton with offense from the nine-hole, hitting a two-run homer in the sixth. Victoria Ziner went 2-for-2 and reached base three times for OA.

Sharon, 0 @ Taunton, 19 – Final (5 inn.)The Tigers got off to a dominant start behind three, one-hit innings and six strikeouts from Courtney Fisher, who also went 3-for-3 with an RBI. Jamie Brown went 3-for-5 with a double, triple, and an RBI and Kya Enos, Jaylin Couto, Hannah Aldrich, and Rebekah Lajoie each had two hits apiece for Taunton. Lajoie drove in four runs.

Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 6 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – Final (2OT)Zach Thomas scored his second of the game with less than a minute to play to tie the game and junior Alex Banner netted the game-winner in double overtime to lift the Bombardiers past OA. Cam Littig added a pair of goals for Attleboro while senior Andrew Milliken scored once. Banner, Seth Lombardy and Zach Viau each notched an assist as well. Sophomore Trevor Koppy made 14 saves in net for the Bombardiers, who battled back from a 3-1 deficit at halftime. Head coach Kevin Koppy credited the play of defensemen Jim Nordberg, Matt Potter, Chris Reynolds and Tyler Koppy for holding the Tigers to just two goals in the second half. For Oliver Ames, Eric LeBlanc scored a pair of goals while Owen Gallagher, Jack Lang and Colin Bourne each scored once.

Foxboro, 17 @ Norwood, 2 – Final

North Attleboro, 7 @ Bishop Feehan, 6 – Final (OT) North Attleboro senior Colin Young scored his lone goal of the game in the overtime period to lift the Rocketeers. Tommy Lindstrom netted a hat trick while Zach McGowan added a pair of goals and one assist and Jack Dakin notched three assists. Nick Moore scored once and set up Young for the game-winner. Dan McDonald had 13 saves in the cage for Big Red.

Girls Lacrosse
Oliver Ames, 16 @ Attleboro, 2 – FinalEight different players found the back of the net as Oliver Ames cruised to a non-league win on the road. Kendall Clifford accounted for five goals while Sofia Masciarelli scored our and Liv Piazza had three goals. Ariana Waldorf recorded 13 saves in goal for the Tigers.

Canton, 6 @ Mansfield, 19 – Final

Franklin, 13 vs. Lincoln-Sudbury, 7 – FinalFranklin built a 6-3 lead by halftime and then continued its strong offensive showing in the second half. Sophomore Annie Walsh and freshman Erin Walsh each scored goal goals apiece and Caroline Lounsbury added a pair for the Panthers. Dana Lewandowski played well on defense with three ground ball and freshman Gianna Cameron made nine saves in net.

Sharon, 19 @ Milford, 6 – Final

Taunton, 16 vs. Norton, 8 – FinalDelaney Powell scored six goals and Alana Tavares added five for the Tigers, who opened the season with a non-league win. Annie Tate and Abbey Kingman both had hat tricks for Taunton and Lorna Li had 12 saves.

North Attleboro’s Barsomo Nuay won 6-4, 6-1 at second singles.

King Philip, 5 @ Milford, 0 – FinalAn experienced King Philip team opened the season with a sweep on the road at Milford. Cole Ginter won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Martin Martous won 6-0, 6-2 at second singles and Blake Ginter took third singles 6-1, 4-6, 6-4. Ryan Gemelli and Sam Colella teamed up for a 7-5, 6-4 win at first doubles and Jake Webster and Marco DiStefano took a 6-4, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Stoughton, 3 – FinalStoughton got wins at first and third singles as well as first doubles to earn the program’s first win in two seasons. Senior Stevens Bontemps won 6-2, 6-3 at first singles and sophomore Alex Bernstein picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win at third singles. The team of senior Jon Podesta sophomore Erik Anderson clinched the win with a 6-2, 7-5 win at first doubles. Oliver Ames junior Joseph Lorizio won 7-5, 6-1 at second singles and Greg Mueller and Michael Souza won 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 at second doubles for the Tigers.

The team of Taylor Palermo and Merri Piazza came back to claim a 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 win at first doubles. Canton’s Jamie Cree won 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 at third singles and the team of Stelina Michaelidis and Kiki Karavas won 6-2, 6-3 at second doubles.

Stoughton, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – FinalOliver Ames swept singles play and also got a win at second doubles to earn the win over Stoughton. Sarah Leger won 6-0, 6-3 at first singles, Claudia Ferrara won 6-2, 6-1 at second singles and Mandi Miller swept third singles 6-0, 6-0. The team of Kristin Bloumbas and Olivia Groebe won 6-2, 6-1 at second doubles. Stoughton’s Alex Soto and Amanda Gallant won 4-6, 7-5, 6-0 at first doubles.

Sharon, 5 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalSharon didn’t drop a single game in singles play and also won both doubles matches to get the sweep. Sophomore Nupur Shukla, freshman Emily Zhang and junior Lulu Yuan all won 6-0, 6-0 at first, second and third singles, respectively. The team of juniors Katie Merport and Emily Wen won 6-4, 7-5 at first doubles while junior Rithic Neti and sophomore Sophia Fein won 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles.

Taunton, 3 @ New Bedford, 0 – FinalTaunton notched its second won of the season with a 26-24, 25-18, 25-17 win on the road over the Whalers. Lance Law led the way with 10 kills, four aces, six digs and one block while Lens Esquil had nine kills and two blocks and Nate Grant had 30 assists, three kills and a block.
