Taunton, 5 @ New Bedford, 0 – FinalTaunton scored two runs in the top of the fourth and then put the game away with three more runs in the top seventh to beat New Bedford. The Tigers had nine hits as a team with Andrew Gomes (two RBI) and Tyler Medeiros (RBI) each recording two. Josh Lajoie pitched six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts to earn the win.

Mansfield, 16 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 1 – FinalMansfield’s offense used 12 hits, four walks and took advantage of four Trojan errors to pick up a big win on the road. Mansfield broke open a scoreless gae with four runs in the fourth and added seven more in the fifth. Although the Hornets had 12 hits, only one player – Tyler Dalton (three RBI, two runs) – had more than one hit. Ten other Hornets each had one hit with Chris Jenkins and Kyle Moran providing two RBI and a run scored each. Connor Sheehan earned the win, striking out seven with just two walks and three hits allowed in five shutout innings of work.

Softball
North Attleboro, 5 @ Attleboro, 1 – FinalBella Erti struck out 13 and walked just one, while going 2-for-3 at the plate with a homer and two RBI, leading North to the Blue-Red Cup title. Abby Gallagher also went 2-for-2 and drove in three runs, while Olivia Capobianco had two hits and scored two runs and Emily Nardelli, Ashley Cangiano and Katherine Munley each had a hit.

Franklin, 0 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 3 – FinalFranklin had the same amount of hits as Bridgewater-Raynham but couldn’t string them together to find a run. Both teams had five hits but the Trojans cashed in on a couple of unearned runs. Jackie Cherry had two hits for the Panthers while Maggie Hobby had one and made two nice catches in foul territory behind the plate. Emily Valentino allowed five hits while striking out four.

Mansfield, 8 @ Duxbury, 4 – FinalThe Hornets opened the game with three runs in the first, added three in the fifth and scored a pair of insurance runs in the seventh to pick up the road win. Mady Bendanillo drove in the first run with a double and scored on a double by Felicity McMullin, who scored on a single by Caty DeMassi. In the fifth, Kara Bendanillo again got it started with a single and Megan beat out a bunt to put two on. Mady Bendanillo doubled again, driving in two more runs and then she scored on a sac fly. In the seventh, Letendre and Mady Bendanillo singled and moved up into scoring position on good base-running. McMullin plated one run with a slow roller on the infield and Bendanillo scored on a wild pitch.

Taunton, 14 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – FinalTaunton’s Kelsey White had three hits and knocked in four runs while sister Alexa tossed a complete game with six strikeouts and no walks as the Tigers beat OA. Alexa White scattered five hits while allowing just one earned run to improve to 3-0. Jaylin Couto (home run, four RBI, three runs) and Jaime Brown (RBI) each had two hits for Taunton while Kya Enos (two RBI) and McKenzie McAloon (three runs, two stolen bases) had one hit apiece. For OA, Caroline Mahoney was 2-for-4 with a single, a solo home run and two runs scored, Katie Mills was 1-for-3 with two RBI, and freshman Grace Simone had a single and a run scored.

Boys Lacrosse
Franklin, 12 @ Canton, 5 – Final – Franklin built a 7-1 lead after 24 minutes of play and never looked back to finish its regular season with a win on the road over Canton. Eric Civetti netted seven goals and had three assists while Jake Davis scored a hat trick and had two helpers for the Panthers.

Daniel Lilenfeld added a goal and two assists for Sharon.

Canton, 1 @ Franklin, 20 – FinalKatie Jones led Franklin’s offense with four goals and two assists as the Panthers picked up a win at home. Lilly Kolb added two goals and an assist while Haley DeStefano found the back of the net twice for the Panthers.

North Attleboro, 12 vs. Old Rochester, 16 – FinalNorth Attleboro was tied 7-7 at the half but Old Rochester broke the game open with a strong second half. Kayla Moulin made 11 saves in the game, including the 300th of her career. Camille Pizarro scored five goals, Julia Dakin had three and Mackenzie Rosenberg had a pair for North.

Sharon, 18 vs. Cardinal Spellman, 2 – FinalLydia Chase led the Eagles with five goals and an assist, while Emma Eberhardt played provider with six assists. Sabrina Robbins had a hat trick, while Mia Lappen, Abbi Solomon (two assists), and Jenna Goldstein all scored two goals apiece. Maeve Barbera added one goal.

Stoughton, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final

King Philip, 4 vs. Bishop Feehan, 1 – FinalKing Philip dominated doubles play, losing a combined five games and winning both matches in straight sets to defeat Feehan. Sean Desroches and Nate Ihley won 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles and the team of Nick Ihley and Aidan Ignatius notched a 6-1, 6-3 win at second doubles. Nick Putney prevailed with a 7-6, 3-6, 6-4 win at second singles and Jack Cannon lost just one game (6-0, 6-1) in a victory at third singles.

Sharon, 2 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s Ben Pfeffer and Vikram Senthilakumaran emerged from an epic three-set match at first doubles with a win to clinch a victory for the Rocketeers as well as a perfect league record. Pfeffer and Senthilakumaran won 6-7 (3), 7-6 (4), 7-6 (3) to clinch the Davenport title for Big Red. With North’s win, Sharon’s run of 38 straight years with a league title comes to an end. Richard Bermudez won 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (1) at first singles and Christian Bermudez picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles. Sharon sophomore Danujan Thirumavalavan won 6-2, 6-0 at third singles and the team of Ashwin Sreevatsa and Arie Chinnappan picked up a 6-1, 6-3 win at second doubles for the Eagles.

Taunton, 5 @ New Bedford, 0 – FinalTaunton picked up its 14th win of the season with a sweep of New Bedford. The Tigers didn’t drop a single game in singles play as Francois Hennaux (first singles), Brett Beaulieu (second), and Charlie Fiske (third) each won 6-0, 6-0. Dylan Kullas and Mike Briggs won 6-0, 6-2 at first doubles and Kyle Dennehy and Trevor Hart paired up for a 6-0, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Girls Tennis
Foxboro, 1 @ Martha’s Vineyard, 4 – FinalFoxboro’s Sophia Prinos picked up a win at first singles but the Warriors fell to Martha’s Vineyard. Prinos earned a 7-6 (6), 6-4 win for the Warriors’ lone point.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – FinalSharon defended home court with a sweep of North Attleboro, winning all five matches in straight sets. Nupur Shukla won 6-0, 6-3 at first singles, Lulu Yuan earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles and Katie Merport recorded a 6-0, 6-3 win at third singles. The Eagles’ first doubles team of Emily Wen and Sachi Bhasin won 6-1, 6-0 while Rithika Neti and Sophia Fein picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at second doubles.

Taunton, 3 @ Durfee, 0 – FinalTaunton went on the road and swept the Hilltoppers (25-18, 25-17, 25-16) to improve to 16-0 on the season. Ricardo DaFonseca set the offense in motion with 40 assists while Lens Esquil and Lance Law had 13 kills apiece. Collin Hunter and Malik Charle chipped in with six kills each.

Franklin, 5 vs. Framingham, 3 – FinalJason Ulrickson picked up his second win in relief in as many days to help the Panthers pick a non-league win over Framingham. Ulrickson struck out six while allowing six hits, one walk, and an unearned run in 4.2 innings of work. Jake Macchi had a strong day offensively, going 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Scott Elliott, Steve Luttazi, and Jake Noviello (RBI) all had one hit and a run scored. Mike Langmeyer and Evan Wendell each had a hit and an RBI for the Panthers.

Mansfield, 8 @ Bishop Feehan, 1 – FinalMansfield scored single runs in each the second, third, and fourth innings and then blew the game wide open with a five-run fifth inning. The Hornets had 10 hits on the day with Sam Nugent (triple, RBI) and Justin Pena (RBI, two runs) each contributing two. Cullin Anastasia (double) added two RBI and a run scored. Sophomore John Carney earned the win, scattering five hits over six innings of work with two walks, four strikeouts and just one run allowed.

Foxboro, 20 @ North Attleboro, 12 – FinalNorth Attleboro coach Colleen Carchedi praised her team’s play against the league champs. North goalie Kayla Moulin made 15 saves and Mackenzie Rosenberg and Camille Pizarro each scored hat tricks in the loss.

Mansfield, 16 @ Taunton, 5 – FinalAnn Maher and Katy Garvin each recorded six points as the Hornets picked up a big win on the road. Maher had four goals and two assists while Garvin finished with a hat trick and three helpers for Mansfield.

Sharon, 19 vs. Ursuline Academy, 15 – FinalThe Eagles trailed by four at halftime, but dominated the second half, outscoring Ursuline 11-3, to pick up the win. Emma Eberhardt scored eight goals and had two assists for the Eagles and Abbi Solomon scored five as well. Sabrina Robbins scored three goals and had an assist, Maeve Barbera scored two goals, and Jenna Goldstein scored once for Sharon, which won 26-of-36 draws as a team.

Franklin, 1 vs. Hopedale, 4 – FinalFranklin’s first doubles team of Tyler DiPalma and Derek Wu won in straight sets but the Panthers fell to Hopedale. DiPalma and Wu earned a 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 win.

Stoughton, 5 @ Brockton, 0 – FinalStoughton freshman Waseem Sablon and junior Erik Anderson both won in straight sets without losing a game to beat the Boxers. Sablon and Anderson each won 6-0, 6-0 while LJ Ferrandiz picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at third singles. Hassan Khan and Chu Chu Ikoro won 6-2, 6-3 at first doubles and Brendon Buckley and Mike Veliotis won 6-0, 6-0 at second doubles.

Taunton, 5 vs. New Bedford, 0 – FinalFor the second straight day, the Tigers notched a convincing win over a team from the Big 3, this win qualifying Taunton for the state tournament for the second straight year. Francois Hennaux (first singles), Brett Beaulieu (second singles) and the team of Charlie Fiske and Dylan Kullas (first doubles) all won 6-0, 6-0. Mike Briggs picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at third singles and Kyle Dennehy and Trevor Hart earned a 6-2, 6-1 win at second doubles.

Stoughton, 76 @ Canton, 60 – FinalDespite losing to the Black Knights, the Bulldogs had some memorable performances. Cordel Smith set a new school record in the 200M with a time of 22.0, Colin Messiner was a double winner, taking first in the 1 Mile (4:44.3) and the 2 Mile (10:49.2), and Marquise Montes won the triple jump (40’11.5″), the long jump (20’3), anchored the winning 4×100 relay team, and took second in the 100M (11.1).

Girls Outdoor Track
Stoughton, 82 @ Canton, 54 – FinalCanton had a pair of double winnners but fell to Stoughton. Sarah Collins won the 400M hurdles (66.7) and the 800M (2.38) while Bronwyn Mahoney won the discus (95’8″) and the shot put (30’6″) for the Bulldogs.

Attleboro, 1 @ Franklin, 2 – Final (8 Inn.)Franklin senior Colby Fitzgibbons laced a two-out single into left center field to drive in Shane O’Neil as the Panthers walked off with a win over Attleboro. Fitzgibbons had two hits on the day, Steve Luttazi had an RBI, and Jake Macchi had a hit and a run scored for Franklin. Bryan Woelfel struck out 10, walked one, and scattered six hits in 6.1 innings of work. Attleboro threatened with runners on first and third in the top of the seventh but Jason Ulrickson (1.2 IP, win, 2 K) made an appearance in relief, getting a strikeout and then Attleboro was caught trying to steal home. Attleboro’s Matt Callahan (two hits) reached base four times, Alvaro Espinal had two hits and an RBI and Ryan Morry had a hit and a run scored. Eoin Kelleher allowed just four hits while striking out six.

Canton, 5 @ Foxboro, 10 – FinalFoxboro exploded for six runs in the fourth inning to break open a 3-3 game and never looked back to beat the visiting Bulldogs. Robert Theriault had a big day for the Warriors, going 3-for-4 with three RBI while Joe Freitas (RBI, two runs) and Joe Cavaleri (run) each had two hits. Chad Bearce added a double and an RBI for Foxboro. Steve McLaughlin struck out four, walked four, and allowed six hits in four innings of work while Sean Yoest struck out four and allowed five hits in three innings of relief. Canton’s Matt Pigeon went 3-for-3 with two runs, Nate Quan had three hits and two RBI, and Jake Aronson had two hits and an RBI.

King Philip, 1 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalMansfield was limited to just one hit but cashed in on its opportunities to beat King Philip. Sophomore Chris Jenkins drew a walk in the third inning, stole second and came around to score on two passed balls. Jenkins reached on an error in the fifth and came around to score after a throwing error on Michael Hargadon’s bunt. Sam Nugent executed a safety squeeze to bring Hargadon home from third. Connor Sheehan earned the win, striking out seven with one walk and six hits allowed in a complete game effort. KP’s David Morganelli was the tough-luck loser, allowing just one hit with seven strikeouts and four walks in a complete game. Liam Rohan had a hit and a run scored for KP.

North Attleboro, 6 @ Milford, 2 – FinalNorth Attleboro went on the road and clinched at least a share of the Davenport division title with a win over Milford. Big Red’s offense got off to a strong start with two runs in the first inning behind a Nick Sinacola RBI double (Brendan McHugh single, run) and a Zach DeMattrio triple and passed ball. Sinacola added another RBI in the third with a single that plated Aidan Harding. Milford cut the deficit to two with a run in the bottom of the third when Justin Applebee scored on a single from Matt Shaver. North responded with two runs in the top of the fourth when Nate Pearce drove in a pair with a double. Big Red added an insurance run in the sixth when Sinacola (three hits) singled and eventually scored on another double from Pearce. Aidan Wilde added an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh for Milford. Peter Cohen pitched a complete game for North, scattering six hits while striking out three.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalOliver Ames did all of its damage offensive during the second inning, plating all five of its runs in the frame. Jacob Levine (2-for-4) and Mitch Goulet each had two RBI hits in the inning while Jake Erlich had two hits and had a strong game behind the plate for the visiting Tigers. Michael Mulrean struck out nine with just two walks in 5.2 innings of work without allowing an earned run. Jakob Roberts was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Logan Lawrence added two hits for Taunton.

Stoughton, 7 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalStoughton’s Zak Paquette needed just 80 pitches for the complete game shutout, allowing four hits with one walk and five strikeouts. Evan Gibb (2-for-3, three runs, stolen base) and Mike Nazzaro (2-for-3, RBI) led the Black Knights’ offense.

Softball
Franklin, 4 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalFranklin junior Jackie Cherry struck out nine in a complete game shutout to lead the Panthers to a win on the road. Franklin scored a pair of runs in the first, built a 3-0 lead in the second and tacked on an insurance run in the seventh inning. Ally Shea went 2-for-2 with an RBI and Maddy White reached base twice, scored once, and had an RBI. Franklin’s Peyton Arone helped end an Attleboro threat in the fourth, making a catch in left and getting a double play at second.

Foxboro, 10 @ Canton, 5 – Final

Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 12 – Final (6 inn.)King Philip’s Jess Bonner launched a pair of home runs and Faith Turinese threw a no-hitter as the Warriors blanked Mansfield. Bonner finished with five RBI, Allison Kuchy had a three-run home run, and Hailey McCasland contributed three hits for KP. Turinese didn’t issue a walk and struck out seven in a complete game effort.

Milford, 5 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalMilford junior Emily Hartman had a day to remember at the play and senior Emily Piergustavo set a new program record in a win on the road at North. Hartman went 3-for-4 with a double and a three-run home run, finishing with five RBI. Piergustavo had two hits, including the 144th of her career to set a new Scarlet Hawk record. Kate Irwin (double, triple) and Maddie Bonvino each added two hits. Kelley Reichert earned the win, allowing just five hits with four strikeouts in a complete game. North scored its lone run in the fifth inning when Olivia Capobianco drove in Andrea Miceli with a single.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 9 – FinalJaime Brown had two hits and knocked in three runs and Kya Enos added two hits and an RBI to lead Taunton past OA. McKenzie McAloon also had two hits, including a double, while scoring two runs. Jaylin Couto struck out nine with two walks and five hits allowed in seven innings of work. OA scored three runs in the first inning with Caroline Mahoney (1-for-3, RBI, run) knocking in Lexie Campbell (2-for-4, run) on a double to right center. Katie Abreu and Rachel Han each knocked in a run in the first inning as well.

Sharon, 0 @ Stoughton, 12 – Final (6 Inn.)Stoughton’s offense belted a season-high 19 hits while Gina Carafa allowed just two hits in six innings of work for the Black Knights. Jordan Lyons led the offense by going 4-for-4, Brianna Ferrandiz was 3-for-4 with an RBI, Karly Estremera had a two-run double, and Val Whalen and Sarah McGrath each had two hits and an RBI.

Girls Lacrosse
Canton, 11 @ Taunton, 10 – FinalMaggie Connolly and Leah McClellan both had hat tricks for the Bulldogs, as Canton pulled out a second straight one-goal win. Connolly also had an assist. Kaitlyn Goyetch scored twice and assisted on two other goals, while Molly Colburn and Caroline Tourgee both scored twice and Alexa Maffeo had a goal and an assist.

Attleboro, 3 @ Sharon, 17 – FinalSharon coach Shara Ginthwain said that the Eagles “played great as a team” with six different goal scorers and assists on eight of the goals. Rose Wald made eight saves in the Sharon goal.

King Philip, 18 @ Milford, 2 – FinalLauren Anderson paced the Warriors with four goals and Caroline Klim had a hat trick and an assist. KP also got a pair of goal from Ali Wilson and single goals from Claire Lawler, Callie Sullivan, Victoria Tormey, and Christina Hathaway.

North Attleboro, 17 @ Mansfield, 19 – FinalKaty Garvin scored seven times and Hannah Sternburg made 15 saves as Mansfield pulled out an important win on senior night. Olivia Murray scored a hat trick and Ann Maher, Hayliegh Crawford, Lauren Whitman, and Emily Vigeant all scored two goals for the Hornets. Maggie Danehy also scored in the win. Katie Lindstrom scored nine goals for the Rocketeers in the loss.

The team of Tony Calderone and Shoumik Sompally prevailed 6-2, 6-1 at first doubles and Tyler DiPalma and Tyler St. Marie lost just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 decision at second doubles.

Nick Putney dropped just two games in a 6-2, 6-0 win at second singles and Jack Cannon earned a 6-2, 7-5 win at third singles for KP. Mansfield’s Luke Nickerson won 6-1, 6-4 at first singles.

Milford, 1 @ North Attleboro, 4 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s Alex Rinaldi and Sam Gallagher didn’t drop a game in their match at second doubles to help the Rocketeers beat Milford. Rinaldi and Gallagher won 6-0, 6-0 while Ben Pfeffer and Vikram Senthilakumaran won 6-2, 6-1 at first doubles. Richard Bermudez and Jonah Manso both won 6-0, 6-0 at first and second singles, respectively, for North. Milford’s Zach Austin won 6-3, 6-4 at third singles.

Canton, 0 @ Foxboro, 5 – FinalFreshman Pamela Nelson prevailed with a 6-3, 6-4 win at second singles over Canton freshman Natalie Keppler in a battle of two of the best young players in the league to help Foxboro earn the win. Sophia Prinos won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles and Kayla Prag won 6-1, 6-3 at third singles. The team of Sarah Prag and Julia Muise earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at first doubles and Olivia Dantona and Kendall Milender picked up a 6-1, 6-3 victory at second doubles.

King Philip, 5 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalKing Philip won all three singles matches in straight sets in a sweep at Mansfield. Erin Regnier won 6-1, 6-1 at first singles, Meghan Sepich picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles, and Caitlin Gonser was victorious (6-2, 6-2) at third singles. Grace Ely and Mia Valencia prevailed with a 6-2, 7-6 (4) win at first doubles and Lucy Barnard and Katarina Schneider won 6-2, 6-0 at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Milford, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro earned its third straight 5-0 sweep, this time taking down Milford on the road. Jordan Willis won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles, Emily Chiasson didn’t lose a game at second singles, and Tara Nair won 6-1, 6-2 at third singles. Azka Siddiq and Shurobhi Nandi teamed up for a 6-2, 6-0 win at first doubles and Leah Marceau and Samantha Martino won 6-2, 6-2 at second doubles.

Taunton, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – FinalTaunton’s second doubles team of Amanda Pugh and Brianna Fevrier emerged with a win in a three-set thriller to help the visiting Tigers pick up a win. Pugh and Fevrier won 6-4, 6-7 (2), 6-2 to help Taunton win. McKenzie Lucie and Samantha Martin won 6-2, 7-5 at first doubles and Jillian Pagliuca picked up a 6-2, 7-5 win at first singles. OA’s Tate Hadges lost just two matches in a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles and Maura Kiernan picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win at third singles for the host Tigers.

Stoughton, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – FinalSharon’s Alysha Posternak played in her first varsity match, teaming with with Lauren Glass to pick up a 6-2, 6-2 win in doubles play. Eoin Kelleher tossed a complete game, scattering five hits to earn the win. Tim Callahan paced the offense, going 3-for-3 with two runs, two stolen bases, and an RBI. Jon Candiales, Dakota Kirby, and Mason Houle all had two hits for Attleboro.

Canton, 3 @ Mansfield, 14 – FinalCanton scored three runs in the top of the fifth inning to make it a three-run game but Mansfield exploded for eight runs in the bottom half to create a big lead. Mansfield scored two runs in the first, three in the second, and one in the fourth to build its lead. Tyler Dalton continued his strong week, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored, Kevin Dow had two hits, three RBI, and two runs scored, and Dan Saraceno had two RBI and one run. Connor Sheehan struck out nine with four hits and four walks allowed in four innings of work for the Hornets. Canton’s Jake Aronson went 2-for-4, including a three-run home run in the fifth inning.

Franklin, 5 vs. Catholic Memorial, 1 – FinalFranklin senior Colby Fitzgibbons went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate and classmate Bryan Woelfel tossed a complete game with just one run allowed to lead the Panthers to a win over CM. Woelfel scattered nine hits while walking just one, striking out eight. Fitzgibbons added an RBI and a run scored while Jake Macchi (two RBI, double), Steve Luttazi (double, run), and Jack Nally (double, run) all finished with two hits for the Panthers. Jake Noviello and Alex Haba each added a hit and a run scored.

Oliver Ames, 5 vs. Dighton-Rehoboth, 2 – FinalOliver Ames junior Sean O’Brien’s three-run double highlighted a five-run second inning for the Tigers. O’Brien (2-for-3, two doubles, run) cleared the bases to put the Tigers ahead while Mitch Goulet (2-for-3) and Chris Pearsons (double, walk, run) each had an RBI during the inning. Michael Mulrean (four strikeouts, one hit) and Matt Muir (two strikeouts, no hits) combined for four innings of relief.

Mansfield, 9 @ Canton, 6 – FinalCanton scored four times in the fourth inning to take a 6-3 lead, but the Hornets scored a pair of runs in the fifth to cut the lead to one and then took the lead with four runs in the seventh. Ashlyn Conley had a bases loaded double with one out in the seventh to bring in the go-ahead and eventual game-winning runs for Mansfield. Caty DeMassi added an insurance run with a deep sac fly to left and Ella Verheggen singled in the ninth run of the game and fourth of the inning. The Hornets had 16 hits on Thursday, including three from Kara Bendanillo and two each for Megan Letendre, Felicity McMullin, DeMassi and Verheggen. Mary Muldoon, Kerran Holmes, Grace Benton, and Sydney Woods also had hits in the win.

Luke Nickerson didn’t lose a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, Max Bank picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at second singles, and Nilay Pangrekar won 6-4, 1-6, 10-8 at third singles.

Jason Khang stepped up defensively with 11 digs while Ricardo DaFonseca paced the offense with 40 assists. Lance Law put down 18 kills and added a block, Lens Esquil added 11 kills and three blocks, and Collin Hunter played well at the net with six kills and a block.

Erti helped her own cause with a pair of hits, including a double, while Olivia Capobianco hit a home run, Ashley Cangiano had two doubles, and Annabelle Hebard added two hits. Katie Daby had a strong day at the plate, going 3-for-3, Andrea Miceli had a two-run double, and Emily Pastore had a hit and three runs scored.

Milford, 28 @ Sharon, 2 – Final (5 inn.)Emily Piergustavo went 3-for-3, including a grand slam, and scored four runs to lead the Hawks to a big win. Canton, 90 @ Foxboro, 46 – FinalCanton’s Cordel Smith won three vents and Marquise Montes took first in two more to lead the Bulldogs to a win. Smith won the 200M (22.8), the high jump (5’11), and the long jump (19’8) while adding a second place finish in the 100M (11.5). Montes was first in the 100M (11.3) and the triple jump (39’9). Colin Messinger took first in the 2 Mile (10:33) and second in the 1 Mile (4:46.7), Riley McDonnell took first in the 400M hurdles (62.3) and third in the 400 (55.3), and Steven Brady was second in the triple jump (36’10”) and third in the 400M (55.3). Canton’s 4×100 relay team (Gersom Rivera, Junior Sainvil, Lucca Terenzio, Montes) and 4×400 relay team (Gerry Sullivan, Chris Milne, Steven Brady, Shane Graham) each placed first.

Other first-place finishes for OA included Jason Windvogel (1 Mile), Matt Campbell (400M), Ethan Eckstrom (800M), Kyle Sarney (2 Mile), Jack Mills (Shot Put), Quinn Proudley (discus, javelin), and Kalil Mater (triple jump). OA’s 4×100 (Jared Boone, Chucky Akanegbu, Aaron MacDonald, Kalil Matier) and 4×400 relay (Zane Reservitz, Ethan Eckstrom, Matt Campbell, Jason Windvogel) both placed first.

King Philip, 33 @ Mansfield, 103 – FinalMansfield’s Mike Shannon, Jareme DiLorenzo, and Kevin McCree all won a pair of events to help the Hornets score a big win over King Philip. Shannon won the 400M hurdles (57.56) and the 400M (50.7), DiLorenzo was first in the 110M hurdles (15.3) and the long jump (21’2.5″), and McCree won the shot put (44’10”) and the discus (120′ 5″). The Hornets also swept both relays with the 4×100 relay (Khristian Conner, Greg Waters, Colin Eutsay, Joe Cappelletti) and the 4×400 relay (Dan Knight, Tyler King, Jack Rivard, Nick Horn) each taking first.

Canton, 70 @ Foxboro, 66 – FinalCanton freshmen Maddie Rousseau led the way with 18 points while Olivia Rodman notched 14 points in the Bulldogs win over Foxboro. Rousseau won three events, taking first in the 100M, qualifying for states in the 200M, and first in the long jump (15’4.25″) while taking second in the triple jump (31’3.5). Rodman won the 400M (64) and the triple jump (31’6″) while taking second in the 400M hurdles and third in the long jump. Sarah Collins added two wins (400M hurdles and 800M) while Bronwyn Mahoney won the shot put (31’10”) and discus (74’4″).

King Philip, 56 @ Mansfield, 80 – FinalMansfield celebrated Senior Day on Tuesday afternoon, with seniors Julia Harrison and Madison Haughey winning their final matches on the Mansfield High track. Harrison won the 100M and was a member of the winning 4×100 team while also taking second in the long jump. Haughey won the 100M hurdles, took second in the triple jump, and placed third in the high jump. Freshman Tessa Lancaster ran a 13-second PR in the mile to take first (5:38.5), junior Amanda Mangano was a two-time winner (200M, long jump), and junior Julia Hill had a 1’3″ PR in the triple jump to take first. Joining Harrison on the winning 4×100 relay team was Gabrielle Devlin, Emily Quitzau, and Samantha Hindman.

At the plate, Candiales helped his own cause with two hits, including a double, and two RBI while James Weir added two hits – a double and a triple. Troy Gamache and Sam Larkin each went 2-for-4 with two RBI while Lorenzo Wilson played well in his first start behind the plate.

Canton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – FinalOA scored once in each the first and second innings and then tacked on three more in the fourth inning in a win over Canton. Matt Muir pitched 3.1 scoreless innings in relief without allowing a hit while Cam Perron tossed two scoreless innings in his first varsity outing on the mound. Mitch Goulet and Michael Friel each had a double and a run scored for the Tigers.

The Hornets totaled 13 hits as a team lead by Chris Jenkins (two RBI) and Kevin Dow (two runs, RBI) each contributing three hits. Cullin Anastasia added two hits, two runs, and two RBI while Tyler Dalton and Jake Gerraughty each drove in a pair of runs. Milford’s Aidan Wilde went 4-for-4 with two runs and an RBI while Matt Nickerson was 3-for-3 with three RBI for the Hawks. Mansfield junior Matt Scibilia allowed just one hit in 2.2 scoreless innings of relief.

For Oliver Ames, Lexie Campbell was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Rachel Han was 2-4, and Kayla Georgeu had a triple and a run scored.

Mansfield, 7 @ Milford, 13 – FinalMilford scored in each of the first five innings to build a 13-2 lead against visiting Mansfield. Mansfield had nine hits as a team, including the first varsity hits for Emma Roche and Tori Farrington. Payton Ceglarski added an RBI single in what was a five-run third inning for Taunton. Enos (three hits) added another run with an RBI single in the fourth, and then drove in another run with a triple in the sixth inning. Aldrich (three hits) added another RBI in the sixth. Jaime Brown added three hits and McKenzie McAloon chipped in with two, including a double. Kelsey White allowed just two hits while striking out 10 in a complete game shutout. “She pitched a masterful game,” said THS head coach Dave Lewry.

Marcolini led off the eighth with a walk, stole second, and advanced to third. He came in to score the winning run on a sacrifice fly from Colby Pires. In a relief appearance, Marcolini tossed three scoreless innings with two strikeouts to get the win. Luke Rosa was the starter for Milford, allowing two runs in five innings with four strikeouts. Matt Swanson added two hits, including a double and a run scored, for the Hawks.

Oliver Ames, 13 @ Foxboro, 4 – FinalFoxboro held a 4-2 lead after an inning of play but OA chipped away and used five runs in the third inning to seize an 8-4 lead and never looked back. Jack Erlich went 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI and Mitch Goulet had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and four RBI. Nick Zwerle and Tom Parker combined for 6.1 innings of scoreless relief for the Tigers. Foxboro’s Chad Bearce was 2-for-4 with a triple while Joe Cavaleri and JT Burke each drove in a pair of runs.

Franklin, 14 @ Stoughton, 10 – FinalFranklin scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to break a 9-9 tie and emerge from Stoughton with a win on the road. JB Flores went 4-for-4, including a double and an RBI while scoring a pair of runs. Evan Wendell also had a strong day for Franklin with a pair of doubles, runs scored and four RBI. Jake Macchi added three hits and three RBI for Franklin while both Scott Elliott and Colby Fitzgibbons had two RBI apiece. Ben Guzman got the win in relief, allowing three hits and one run over three innings of work. Stoughton’s Matt Hadley and James Genest both went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored while Geroge Currier and Cian Swierzewski each drove in two runs for the Black Knights.

King Philip, 8 @ Sharon, 4 – FinalKing Philip tied the game in the fifth, took the lead in the sixth, and then tacked on three insurance runs in the seventh inning to complete a comeback from at Sharon. KP took a 3-0 lead in the second before Sharon pulled ahead with four runs in the third. Pat Limerick had three hits and one RBI, sophomore Chris Sawyer had two hits and two RBI, and Tyler Nault delivered with an RBI pinch-hit single for the Warriors. Terry Murray earned the win in relief, throwing three scoreless innings with one strikeout.

Mansfield, 3 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalMansfield senior Kevin Dow had a dominating performance on the mound, throwing a complete game with just two hits allowed and no walked and one unearned run allowed to lead the Hornets to a win over previously unbeaten North Attleboro. Dow struck out nine and didn’t issue a walk to get the win. Offensively, Dow went 2-for-4 and had an RBI triple in the third inning that put Mansfield up 2-0. Dow then scored on an RBI single from senior Tyler Dalton. Mansfield took the lead in the top of the second when Cullin Anastasia scored. Zach DeMattio and Brendan McHugh (run) each had a hit for Big Red.

Milford, 12 @ Attleboro, 3 – FinalMilford plated six runs in the sixth inning to break open what was a two-run game to grab a win on the road. The Hawks took a 5-3 advantage into the sixth before exploding for six runs. Jess Tomaso (2-for-4, three RBI) hit a home run in the sixth for her 100th career hit. Emily Piergustavo added two hits, two runs, and four RBI, Maddy Bonvino went 3-for-4 with a double, triple, and two-run home run and Kate Irwin had three hits, three runs, and an RBI for the Scarlet Hawks. Kelley Reichert got the win in the circle, striking out nine. Attleboro leadoff hitter Jordyn Lako went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and MacKenzie Killough blasted a two-run home run in the third inning.

Canton, 0 @ Taunton, 13 – Final (5 Inn.)Taunton sophomore Jaylin Couto struck out 10 while allowing just two hits and one walk to help the Tigers notch a win over visiting Canton. Couto improved to 3-0 with five scoreless innings. North Attleboro, 7 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalNorth Attleboro broke open a two-run game with four runs in the last two innings to make it two wins in two days for the Rocketeers. Bella Erti struck out 11, allowing only four hits and no walks to pick up the win. Abby Warren and Olivia Capobianco paced the North offense with three hits apiece, while Ashley Cangiano and Katie Daby each had two hits. Katherine Munley came through with a couple of nice grabs in the field, according to North coach Bill Wallace, and Cangiano threw out her third runner attempting to steal in two days. Mary Muldoon drove in the lone Mansfield run in the second, singling in Caty DeMassi. Kara Bendanillo went 2-for-3 for the Hornets.

Eric LeBlanc, Owen Gallagher, Shane Kilkelly, Frankie Ireland, and Colin Bourne each scored once for the Tigers while Steve Heino made 20 saves in net.

Franklin, 4 @ Attleboro, 3 – FinalFranklin senior Steve Ferguson scored what turned out to be the winning run on a squeeze play in the top of the seventh and the Panthers held off a late surge from Attleboro to earn the win. Franklin scored two runs in the top frame to go up 4-1. Jake Noviello went 6.1 innings for Franklin, striking out nine with four hits allowed to earn the win. Bryan Woelfel picked up the last two outs to earn the save for Franklin. Offensively, Jake Lyons had two hits, including a double, and scored a run, Ryan Hodgkins belted an RBI triple and scored a run and Cam Lupien knocked in a run. Attleboro’s Matt Callahan had two hits, scored a run and drove in two, Dylan Maskell had two hits and an RBI and Tyler Davis reached base four times, stole two bases and scored once. Tyler McGovern was the tough luck loser on the mound, tossing a complete game. “He pitched well, made it tough for us,” said FHS head coach Zach Brown.

Foxboro, 9 @ Canton, 7 – FinalColin Thoener did it all for the Warriors, tossing a complete game and knocking in a team-high four RBI in a close win over Canton. Thoener scattered seven hits, walked two and struck out five to earn the win while going 2-for-4 at the plate with four RBI. AJ Bubencik also had a strong day offensively, going 3-for-4 with three runs and a stolen base and sophomore Anthony Mollica had two hits, three RBI and two stolen bases.

Mansfield, 8 @ King Philip, 5 – Final (8 inn.)Kevin Dow (2-for-4) knocked in Cullin Anastasia (2-for-3, RBI) for the winning run in the top of the eighth and Aidan Cahill brought in two more insurance runs — Max Boen (2-for-2, RBI) and Matt Farragher — as Mansfield escaped with an 8-5 win in extras at King Philip. Mansfield took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first but KP responded with two in the bottom half. The Hornets tacked on single runs in the second and third to make it 5-2, but KP cut into the deficit with a run in the third and tied the game with two runs in the fifth. Mansfield’s Kyle Moran earned the winning, tossing 3.1 innings in relief with just two hits allowed and two strikeouts. Stephen Murray knocked in two runs for KP while Will Weir (2-for-4, two runs) and Ben Furfari (2-for-4) each knocked in one.

Milford, 2 @ North Attleboro, 9 – FinalNorth Attleboro junior Peter Cohen shined in his first ever varsity start, allowing just one run on four hits and no walks, striking out five to lead the Rocketeers to a big division win. Offensively, the Rocketeers had nine hits, scoring two runs in the first, five in the second and tacking on single runs in each the third and fifth innings. Zach DeMattio (three RBI) belted a two-run home run in the first and John Brennan had a solo home run in the third.

OA didn’t go quietly, tying the game with four runs in the fourth but Taunton added three more in the sixth to get the win. Jacob Crawford added two hits and Matt Machado had one hit and an RBI for Taunton. Tyler Medeiros earned the win on the mound, tossing a complete game with seven strikeouts and four earned runs allowed. Oliver Ames’ Cam Johnson went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI and Sam Burr added two hits as well.

Sharon, 3 @ Stoughton, 4 – FinalStoughton overcame a one run deficit with the tying run in the third and then the go-ahead run in the fifth to edge out the Eagles and clinch their second straight Davenport title. Senior Josh Roos delivered the big hit for the Black Knights, connecting for a one-out triple in the fifth and came on a sac fly from Ruben Gonzalez for what turned out to be the winning run. Gonzalez also scored the tying run in the third, scoring on a passed ball after singling and stealing second. Stoughton took the lead with two runs in the first on Luke Johnson’s two-out two-run triple. Johnson also earned the win on the mound, going six innings with three runs allowed on eight hits, three strikeouts and one walk. Evan Gibb pitched a scoreless seventh inning for the save.

Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalFranklin got all three of its runs within the first two innings and junior Jackie Cherry did the rest in the circle, tossing a complete game shutout. Franklin freshman Anna Balkus singled, stole second and used two wild pitched to come home. Ally Shea also scored in the first inning for the Panthers. In the second inning, Cherry helped her own cause, reaching in the second and having courtesy running Emma DiPhilippo scoring the Panthers’ third run. Jenn Hutnyan paced KP’s offense with three hits, an RBI and a run scored while Hailey McCasland added two this and Faith Turnese contributed with a key pinch hit double. Mansfield’s Sarah Cahill had three strikeouts while giving up eight hits while Megan Letendre had the lone hit of the day for the Hornets.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Milford, 6 – FinalNorth Attleboro cut into MIlford’s 3-0 lead with a pair of runs in the top of the third but the Scarlet Hawks had an answer, tacking on two runs in the bottom of the fourth to pick up the win. The teams traded single runs in the sixth inning. Junior Emily Piergustavo paced Milford’s offense, going 4-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI and two runs scored. Kate Irwin (1-for-3) added three runs, Jess Tomaso had two hits and an RBI and Maggie Farrell reached twice and knocked in one run. MHS head coach Steve DiVitto said Maddy Bonvino “played an exceptional defensive game at second base.” Kelley Reichert picked up the win, going six innings, scattering five hits and striking out one. Ali Atherton earned the save, striking out two in one inning of work. For North Attleboro, Meg Barlow had two hits and a a run scored and Ashley Cangiano drove in pinch runner Kat Munley.

Stoughton, 12 @ Sharon, 0 – Final (6 inn.)Brianna Ferrandiz went 3-for-3 with three RBI to pace the Black Knights on offense, while Gina Carafa allowed only two hits and struck out nine in a six-inning shutout. Jordan Lyons added two hits and three RBI and Nikki Coppola drilled a three-run homer for Stoughton.

Canton, 18 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalCanton senior CJ Martin netted first career goal and then went on to add two more to record a hat trick in the Bulldogs’ big win. Brian Albert and Alec Raguso also scored their first career goals while Connor Proctor and Matt Mackay found the back of the net for the first time this season.

Foxboro, 5 @ Franklin, 9 – Final – Franklin raced out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter and used that strong start to take down Foxboro. The Panthers gained a 7-3 edge by halftime but were blanked in the third quarter by Foxboro’s defense and the Warriors cut the deficit to three at 7-4 entering the fourth. But Franklin recovered and won the fourth quarter 2-1 to prevail with a win. Eric Civetti had three goals and three assists, Packie Watson also netted a hat trick and had one assist and Nitin Chaudhury had one goal and one assist. Chase Tanner and Jake Davis each added one goal while sophomore Jacob Alexander notched 15 wins at the face off X.

North Attleboro, 12 @ Mansfield, 6 – FinalNorth Attleboro built a commanding 7-2 lead by halftime and never looked back to notch a key road win and clinch the Davenport division outright. Jason McNeany won 10 of the 15 face offs he participated in to help give Big Red the possession edge. Jack Dakin scored a team-high five goals and added two assists, Zach McGowan (two goals, two assists) totaled four points and McNeany finished with a pair of goals and one assist. Owen Costello also recorded four points for the Rocketeers while Colin Young scored once and had one assist, Tommy Lindstrom added two assists and Hunter Sarro notched one helper.

Taunton, 12 @ Canton, 14 – FinalEmily Fabbiano scored six goals to lead Canton to a come-from-behind victory, while Mary Kent added a hat trick and Kathryn Doody made 11 saves for the Bulldogs. The Tigers were led by Abbey Kingman’s five goals and four from Alana Tavares, while Lorna Li made 17 saves.

Eli Brooks moved up a spot and earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at first singles, Rohan Herur won 6-0, 6-0 at second singles and Tyler DiPalma, usually a second doubles player, notched a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles. The team of James Johnston and Derek Wu continued their strong season with a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles while Dan Angermeier and Tony Calderone won 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles.

KP’s team of Ryan Gemelli and Marco DiStefano earned a key 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 win at first doubles to seal the win. Mansfield’s Luke Nickerson won 6-0, 6-1 at second singles and the team of Gus Daganhardt and Stephen Zenack won 7-5, 3-6, 7-5 at second doubles.

Zac Pfeffer won 6-1, 6-3 at first singles, Alex Rinaldi moved up a spot and earned a 6-2, 6-1 at second singles and Alex Pfeffer prevailed from third singles with a 6-4, 6-2 win. The team of Daniel Zhang and Ben Pfeffer won 6-1, 6-4 at first doubles and Andrew Harris and Vikram Senthilakumaran notched a 6-1, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Taunton, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalTaunton’s first doubles of sophomores Dylan Kullas and Charlie Fiske emerged victorious from a 10-set super tie breaker to complete the Tigers’ clean sweep. Kullas and Fiske won 6-7, 7-5, 11-9 while the team of junior Kyle Dennehy and freshman Alex Pugh won 6-2, 6-4 at second doubles. Taunton swept singles as well with sophomore Brett Beaulieu (6-1, 6-1), junior Mike Briggs (6-2, 6-2) and senior Eric Gwozdz (6-2, 7-5) all winning in straight sets.

Hannah Sweeney (first singles) and Anja Deric (second singles) won in straight sets without losing a game while junior Stephanie Schiavo won 6-3, 6-1 at third singles. Franklin’s first doubles team of Madison Derby and Julia Hogan won 6-4, 6-3 and juniors Jillian McLaughlin and Alexa Katsaros notched a 7-5, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Sophia Prinos won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, Lexi Nelson recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles and Julia Muise walked away with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at third singles. The team of Kayla Prag and Olivia Dantona won 6-2, 6-1 at first doubles for Foxboro while Jacey Nicklas and Morgan Krockta prevailed 3-6, 6-3, 10-4 at second doubles.

Erin Regnier won 6-2, 7-5 at second singles and Meghan Sepich picked up a 6-2, 7-5, 10-5 win at third singles. The team of Megan Davenport and Carly Adams recorded a 6-4, 6-0 win at first doubles and Corinne Palumbo and Gracie Jarest won 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles. Olivia Sweeney won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles and Jordan Pagliuca notched a 6-1, 6-1 at second singles. Taunton lost just two games total in doubles play with Ashley Eason and Emily Moor (first doubles) and Caroline Hebert and Jordan Martin (second doubles) each winning 6-0, 6-1.

Stoughton, 6 @ Canton, 3 – FinalFor the second straight game, Stoughton rallied from a deficit and plated the game-winning runs in the seventh innings. Jackson Maffeo’s three-run home run put the Bulldogs ahead 3-0 but Stoughton chipped away, tying the game with two runs in the sixth and went ahead with three runs in the seventh. Ryan Sullivan and Jack Connelly each had a single in the sixth and both came around to score to tie the game. Nick Hardy doubled to lead off the top of the seventh, advanced to third and came home on a double from Sullivan. Luke Johnson followed with a two-run double to put Stoughton up 6-3. Justin Hutchinson earned his seventh win of the seven, tossing three hitless innings with seven strikeouts. Hutchinson struck out the side in the sixth and retired the side in order in the bottom of the seventh.

Foxboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalMansfield’s Colin Gibbons launched a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Hornets a close win over Foxboro. Mansfield took the lead in the bottom of the second when Anthony DeGiolamo (1-for-2) drove in Cullin Anastsia (2-for-3). Foxboro tied the game in the top of the third when Anthony Mollica knocked in John Cronin. Gibbons finished with two hits in the game. Connor Sheehan earned the win in a complete game effort, allowing just four hits while striking out four.

King Philip, 1 @ Sharon, 3 – FinalSharon junior Max Tarlin tossed a complete game and the Eagles’ offense did all of its damage early to notch a non-league win over KP. Tarlin allows five hits, five walks, one earned run and struck out seven in a complete game effort to earn the win. After Ben Stamm battled for a single, junior Drew Naisuler (2-for-3, double) launched a two-run home run to put the Eagles head. Aiden Arnold (2-for-2) followed that with a triple and scored on a single from Danny Emerman. SHS head coach Kee Arguimbau said senior Jake Marglous played incredible defense at catcher for the Eagles.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 13 – FinalNikki Coppola went 4-for-4 with two triples and four runs scored and Karly Estremera went 4-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI to power the Black Knights offense. Gina Carafa had three hits and three RBI and got the win with six innings of work, striking out nine. Shannon Flaherty also had a pair of hits and drove in two for Stoughton. Canton was led offensively by Molly Loughran, who was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles.

Franklin, 9 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalFranklin scored three runs in the third and added three more in the sixth inning to beat Foxboro in a game continued from Sunday (rain). Franklin held a 1-0 lead when the game resumed. Olivia DiGiacomo (four RBI) went 3-for-4 and put an exclamation point on the day with a bases-clearing double in the sixth inning. Kylie Bouzan added two hits and scored a pair for runs for Franklin. Jackie Cherry pitched four innings, retiring the side in order in the first, second and third innings. Emily Valentino pitched the last three innings and recorded three strikeouts. FHS head coach Kate Fallon Comeau said Tara Hartnett played excellent defense at shortstop.

King Philip, 3 @ Milford, 6 – FinalHolding a 3-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth, Milford tacked on three runs and then held off King Philip’s late comeback attempt. Shannon Cormier went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a run scored and an RBI, Kaitlin DeCapua had an RBI single, Maddy Bonvino had two hits, including a double, and a run scored and Emily Piergustavo reached base four times and scored one run. Ali Atherton (three strikeouts) earned the win, escaping a pair of jams in both the sixth and seventh innings. King Philip’s Hailey McCasland, Jenn Hutnyan, Jess Bonner and Nicole Carter each had two hits apiece for the Warriors.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Walpole, 13 – Final Lexie Campbell had a pair of hits while Victoria Ziner (double), Caroline Mahoney and Katie Mills had recorded one hit for the Tigers.

Taunton, 24 @ New Bedford, 0 – Final (5 Innings)Taunton booked its place in the state tournament with a dominating win against the Whalers. Courtney Fisher and Jaylin Couto combined on a one-hitter and struck out 11 batters. Kya Enos went 3-for-3 with four RBI and homer, Rebekah Lajoie went 5-for-5 with five RBI and a homerun and eighth grader Hannah Aldrich drove in four for the Tigers. Katie Van Zandt (three RBI) and Alexa White also hit homers for Taunton.

Canton, 8 @ Mansfield, 10 – FinalMansfield goalie Sean Powers turned away 12 shots and Sam O’Connell accounted for four points as the Hornets clipped Canton. Tommy Donnelly and Mike Zampine had strong games on defense in front of Powers. O’Connell scored a hat trick and had one assist while Aidan Sacco scored twice and Cullen Murphy, Hunter Ferreira, Joe Cox and Brad Grant each had a goal and an assist. Danny DeGirolamo also scored once for Mansfield.

Fred Bondar notched a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles and junior Andre Olivei recorded a 6-4, 6-3 win at third singles.

Torey Lussier won 6-3, 6-1 at first singles, Bri Aronne won 7-5, 6-1 at second singles and Anna Nelson emerged from third singles with a 6-1, 6-4 victory. The team of Taylor Palermo and Merri Piazza nothched a 7-5, 6-7 (3-7), 7-5 win at first doubles and seniors Brooklyn Palermo and Cam Liberatore won 6-0, 6-3 at second doubles.

Canton, 3 @ Milford, 2 – FinalCanton swept doubles play and earned a win at third singles to edge Milford on the road. Kiki Karavas won 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 at third singles to help the Bulldogs clinch the match. The team of Julia Burkowsky and Jena Moyle won 7-5, 6-2 and Stelina Michaelidis and Sarah Hernandez won 6-1, 7-5 at second doubles. Milford’s Julie Rabinowitz won 7-5, 6-1 at first singles and Allison Buckenmaier won 6-2, 6-2 at second singles.

Taunton, 5 vs. New Bedford, 0 – FinalTaunton lost just three games in doubles play in a big win over the Whalers. The team of Emily Moor and Ashleigh Eason won without a blemish, picking up a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles. Callie Hebert and Jordan Martin recorded a 6-1, 6-2 win at second doubles. In singles play, Olivia Sweeney (first) won 6-1, 6-0, Jordan Pagliuca (second) won 6-3, 6-1 and Jillian Pagliuca (third) won 6-3, 6-2.

Boys Track
Milford, 78 @ Canton, 58 – FinalCanton’s Muhammed Sambo and Cordell Smith each qualified for states but the Bulldogs fell to Milford. Sambo came in first in the 200M at 23.1 while Smith finished first in the high jump (5’10). Gerry Sullivan also came in first for the Bulldogs, clocking in at 2:11.9 in the 800M. Canton swept the 400M hurdles with John Guenthner coming in first (1:01.1), Matt Floyd (1:03.6) coming in second and Riley McDonnell (1:04.00) taking third.

Girls Track
Milford, 78 @ Canton, 58 – FinalCanton’s Bronwyn Mahoney and Sarah Collins each won a pair of events but Milford prevailed with a win. Mahoney took first in the shot put (29’6.5″) and discus (68’8″) and Collins won the 400M hurdles (71.5) and the 800M (2:34.5). Andrea McNeil was first in the one mile (5:57.4) and second in the 800M (2:37.3) and Jimisha Williams crossed first in the 200M (28.0).
