Jake Dunkley led the Bombardiers with 21 points while senior Berlyns Abraham added 12 points and Lucas Boucicaut had 10 points and five assists. Andrew Milliken chipped in with nine points and Nate Douglas had eight points.

Canton, 67 vs. Archbishop Williams, 38 – FinalJunior Tony Harris grabbed a double-double as Canton ran away with a big win over Archies to begin 2017. Harris had 13 points and 15 rebounds to pace the Bulldogs while sophomore Devin Foster scored 15 points and junior Austin Maffie finished with 11 points.

Franklin, 57 @ Catholic Memorial, 58 – Final

North Attleboro, 70 @ King Philip, 64 – FinalNorth Attleboro had a strong first half by King Philip chipped away to tie the game in the second half. North Attleboro was able take a 54-52 lead into the fourth quarter and then hold onto a 66-64 lead with 1:28 to play. Jonny Friberg led the Rocketeers with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Tom Reynolds added a career-high 16 points. Seniors Brent Doherty (13) and Kyle McCarthy (12) combined for 25 points. King Philip’s Seth Sullivan scored a career-high 26 points while sophomore Kyle Layman had 16 points.

Oliver Ames, 63 @ Barnstable, 56 – Final Facing an 18 point deficit in the fourth quarter, Oliver Ames scored 35 points in the final quarter to earn head coach Don Byron his 400th career win. Junior Jack Spillane scored 19 of his career-high 31 points in the fourth quarter to spark the large comeback. Senior Dylan Mahoney scored 15 points and sophomore Jake Erlich had 12 points for the Tigers.

Taunton, 78 vs. New Bedford, 55 – FinalTaunton senior Tommy MacLean dropped a team-high 16 points as the Tigers swept the season series against the Whalers. Lens Esquil and Lou Vendrell each added 12 points in the win while freshman Dante Law finished with 10 points.

Attleboro, 76 vs. Bishop Feehan, 47 – FinalA pair of freshmen made an impact as Attleboro swept the season series against Feehan. Qualeem Charles had 10 points and seven rebounds and Bryant Ciccio had 12 points and five rebounds. Senior Jake Dunkley led the Bombardiers with 19 points and six rebounds.

Franklin, 64 vs. Malden Catholic, 70 – Final

Milford, 69 vs. Tantasqua, 46 – FinalAnthony Arcudi dropped a career-high 22 points to pace the Scarlet Hawks to a win. Zack Tamagni added 13 points while Shane Cosquete finished with nine points. Junior Kayden Kelley scored 10 points and hauled in a career-high 21 rebounds. Milford will face Waltham in the final of the Scarlet Hawks Classic on Thursday at 7 p.m.

King Philip, 59 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 58 – FinalKing Philip overcame a seven point deficit in the first half to take a five point lead by half. The Trojans came back to seize a three point advantage after three quarters. KP was able to build a four point lead late and hold on. Sophomore Kyle Layman had 18 points, eight rebounds and five blocks to lead the Warriors while Justin Vine added 17 points and Will Weir had 12 points.

North Attleboro, 57 vs. Reading, 42 – FinalThe Rocketeers jumped out to an 18-9 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Up 33-21, Big Red used another dominate quarter, outscoring the Rockets 17-4 in the third. Junior Chad Peterson led the way with a career-high 15 points while Jonny Friberg added 14 points and Kyle McCarthy finished with 13 points.

Oliver Ames, 58 vs. East Boston, 36 – FinalOliver Ames deployed a zone defense and then pounced with a press in the second quarter to pull away from East Boston. The Tigers outscored East Boston 21-4 in the second quarter and 13-5 in the third quarter. “We used the press and we played zone,” OA head coach Don Byron said. “We got pretty active – tops on that list was probably Welch, he gets his hands on a lot of stuff in the zone. We ran out on that pretty well and we were able to compound things a little bit by jumping into the press once we scored.” Jack Spillane led OA with 12 points and 11 rebounds, Dylan Mahoney had 12 points and five rebounds and Matt Muir finished with 10 points and five rebounds.

Sharon, 52 vs. Arlington Catholic, 33 – FinalSenior Ricardo Ripley scored all of his team-high 14 points in the second half to lead Sharon to the win on the road at Wilmington. The Eagles only allowed 13 points in the second half and won the fourth quarter 17-6. Jimmy Fitzhenry also had 14 points in the win while Jayvon Monteiro scored 11 points.

Taunton, 73 vs. Hope (RI), 49 – FinalFreshman Naz Kenian scored a career-high 16 points as Taunton rolled past Hope. Junior Malik Charles chipped in with 14 points for the Tigers.

Girls Basketball
Attleboro, 60 vs. Cranston West 35 – FinalSarah Deyo led the way for the Bombardiers with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Julia Strachan, Sam Pierce, and Jordyn Lako each added 10 points for Attleboro.

Mansfield, 52 vs. Marshfield, 47 – FinalJen Peel had 18 points and five assists to pace the Hornets. Meg Hill added 12 points, 12 rebounds, and eight blocks and Ann Maher had 10 points for Mansfield. The Hornets will play Duxbury in the final of the Holiday Tournament on Wednesday at 5:45 p.m.

Milford, 60 @ Hudson, 31 – FinalKate Irwin was the top scorer for the Hawks with 23 points and Jess Tomaso chipped in with eight points.

Oliver Ames, 48 vs. Needham, 42 – FinalOliver Ames rallied from a halftime deficit to tie the game but the Rockets reestablished a lead (31-26) at the end of the third. The Tigers seized the lead early in the fourth quarter and held on. Kayla Raymond led the Tigers with 18 points while Niyera Mitchell had nine points and a career-high 19 rebounds. The Tigers will host Walpole in the final of the Sure Rivard Tournament.

Hockey
Attleboro, 3 vs. Ludlow 5 – Final

Wrestling
Lowell Holiday Tournament (Canton, Foxboro, Franklin, Stoughton) – After the first day, Foxboro is in eighth place with 79 points and Franklin is in 11th with 69.5 points. Wrestlers that made the quarterfinals include Foxboro’s Adam Lanctot (106), Canton’s Justin Dickie (113), Franklin’s TJ Remillard and Foxboro’s Phil Dure (126) and Foxboro’s Matt Kelley (132).

Marshfield Tournament (Mansfield, North Attleboro, Oliver Ames, Sharon) – North Attleboro is in third place with 111.5 points with 10 wrestlers moving onto day two. Mansfield is just outside the top 10 with 66.5 points (13th place) with six wrestlers moving on. Wrestlers that advanced to the semifinals include North Attleboro’s Brady Folan and Mansfield’s Antonios Sevastos (106), Sharon’s Yosef Ellis-Rech (126), Oliver Ames’ Liston Funai (132), Mansfield’s George Glaropoulos and North Attleboro’s Nick Gould (152), Mansfield’s Vinnie Holmes (170) and North Attleboro’s Brad White (220).

Attleboro, 72 @ Oliver Ames, 76 – Final – Oliver Ames created an early cushion and used that to fend off a late charge from Attleboro. Senior Tim Kelley and junior Carter Evin each scored 21 points for the Tigers with Dylan Mahoney adding 10 points. Attleboro’s Andrew Milliken had a team-high 20 points and added five rebounds, Jake Dunkley added 17 points and six rebounds, Lucas Boucicaut had 14 points and sophomore Nate Douglas chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Taunton, 63 @ Canton, 51 – Final – Jose Mercado led all scorers with 23 points for Taunton. Canton sophomore Tony Harris had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs.
King Philip, 44 @ Foxboro, 64 – Final – Foxboro used a 15-0 run in the third quarter to create the separation against the Warriors. Three different Foxboro players registered in double figures for scoring, led by Alex DuBrow’s 15 points. Mark Clagg added 13 points and Jason Procaccini had 12 points. Kyle Layman led King Philip with 14 points and Will Weir added 11 points.

Franklin, 55 @ Sharon, 41 – Final – Franklin turned a four point deficit at halftime into a nine point lead by the end of the third quarter. Sophomore Connor Peterson had 15 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, Tim Prunier had 13 points, seven rebounds and four steals and freshman Jay Dieterle added 13 points and four rebounds. 
Girls Basketball
Canton, 60 @ Taunton, 46 – Final – Emma Murphy scored a career-high 24 points in the win for the Bulldogs. Hannah Jerrier added 14 for Canton and Meaghan Hunter had six.
Foxboro, 60 @ King Philip, 42 – FinalCassidy Harrison was the top scorer for the Warriors with 20 points and Ashley Sampson chipped in with 19.
Franklin, 45 @ Sharon, 33 – Final – Alyssa Piazza led the Eagles with 11 points. Sharon also got eight points from Charlotte Ransom and seven from Veronica Wallace.
Oliver Ames, 44 @ Attleboro, 56 – FinalEmily Houle scored 30 points to lead the Bombardiers. Sarah Deyo added 15 points and 11 rebounds for Attleboro. Oliver Ames was led by Francesca Calabraro, who scored 11 and Hannah Carroll added 10.
Hockey
Canton, 5 @ Attleboro, 1 – FinalMatt Lazaro scored his 100th career point for Canton in the win. Dan Creavin scored the lone goal for the Bombardiers and goaltender Tim Gile made 26 saves.

Boys Basketball
Attleboro, 57 @ Sharon, 73 – Final – Attleboro cut a 10-point Sharon lead at halftime down to two in the third quarter but the Eagles were able to pull away. Sharon hit 12 three pointers between three players – senior Matt Lowerre hit five, sophomore Jimmy Fitzhenry hit four and senior Tyler Smith had three. Fitzhenry finished with a game-high 20 points and Lowerre had 17 points. Attleboro junior Jake Dunkley had 19 points and nine rebounds and sophomore Nate Douglas chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds. 

King Philip, 66 @ Canton, 53 – Final – King Philip stormed out to a 20-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. Senior Ben Smith his six three pointers for a game-high 18 points, freshman Kyle Layman had 15 points and eight rebounds, junior Noah Goodwin had 13 points and junior Pharoah Davis had 12 points. Canton senior Griffin Jerrier scored a team-high 13 points for the Bulldogs. 

Mansfield, 51 @ Foxboro, 69 – Final – Foxboro used an 11-0 run in the middle of the second quarter to create separation while its defense prevent Mansfield from gathering any momentum offensively. Foxboro senior Alex DuBrow scored a game-high 22 points and had eight rebounds, senior Rob Lowey had 16 points and eight rebounds and senior Jason Procaccini added 14 points and five rebounds. Mansfield junior Sam Goldberg had 10 points to lead the Hornets. 

Franklin, 83 @ Stoughton, 63 – Final – The Panthers held a six point lead at halftime (41-35) as the two teams combined for over 75 points in the first half. Franklin had a 23 point third quarter and added 19 more points in the final quarter. Sophomore Connor Peterson had a game-high 16 points while senior Tim Prunier and freshman Jay Dieterle each added 15 points for Franklin. Stoughton senior Brandon Teixeira had a team-high 14 points for the Black Knights. 

Taunton, 62 @ Milford, 50 – Final – Milford held a four point lead at halftime and at the end of the third quarter but Taunton won the fourth quarter 29-13 to get the win. Taunton junior Tommy MacLean scored 20 points in the win for the Tigers. Milford sophomore Kayden Kelley had 14 points and 15 rebounds, Dimitry Torres added 11 points and Dwight Anderson had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Scarlet Hawks. 

North Attleboro, 74 @ Oliver Ames, 70 – Final – Brent Doherty scored a career-high 28 points to lead the Rocketeers. North Attleboro held a 20 point lead at halftime (44-24) but Oliver Ames stormed back with 25 points in the third quarter and 13 more in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime tied 62-62-. Doherty connected on seven three pointers and went 3/4 from the free throw line in overtime. Sophomore Mario Bresko finished with seven points, including a key three pointer in overtime. Junior Jonny Friberg scored a career-high 18 points and had 10 rebounds for North. Oliver Ames’ Carter Evin scored 21 of his career-high 26 points in the second half to help OA get back into it. Tim Kelley added 23 points and senior Shawn Cardoza had nine points for the Tigers. 
Girls Basketball
Canton, 38 @ King Philip, 56 – FinalThe Warriors turned the game around with a 22-4 second quarter. Shannon O’Connor was the top scorer for KP with 10. Sam Madden and Julia Lerouix each scored nine for the Warriors. Canton was led by Emma Murphy with nine points.
Foxboro, 45 @ Mansfield, 49 – Final – Jen Peel was Mansfield’s top scorer with 14 points. Juliana Newell added 10 points and pulled in 12 rebounds and Meg Hill grabbed 14 boards. Cassidy Harrison had a game-high 19 points to lead the Warriors.
Stoughton, 35 @ Franklin, 55 – FinalOlivia Adiletto was the top scorer for Franklin with 13 points. Lauren Rudolph added 11 for the Panthers, who had 10 players on the score sheet. Stoughton was led by Alecia Quinones with 11 points.
Milford, 40 @ Taunton, 44 – FinalThe Tigers rallied in the fourth quarter, outscoring Milford 14-7, to pick up their first win of the season. Alyssa Gibson led the way for Taunton with 13 points and nine rebounds. Jordan Wade added nine and Kia Pate had 10 rebounds. Milford was led by Katie Irwin with 12 points and Nicole Dahlgren added 10.
Oliver Ames, 49 @ North Attleboro, 52 – FinalThe Rocketeers were led by forwards Caroline Collard and Emily Peters who combined for 24 points. Julia Feid added 13 for North. The Tigers were led by Kayla Raymond with 15 points.
Sharon, 35 @ Attleboro, 75 – Final – Emily Houle scored 33 points and added seven steals to pace the Bombardiers to a big win. Sarah Deyo chipped in with 19 points and 10 rebounds and Sam Pierce added another 10 points. Emma Eberhardt was Sharon’s top scorer with 14 and Veronica Wallace added 11.

King Philip. 63 vs. Barrington, 35 – Final – King Philip won the second quarter 21-6 to create the separation. Junior Noah Goodwin had a game-high 17 points, freshman Kyle Layman had 11 points and six rebounds and senior Ben Smith had nine points and four rebounds. 
Hockey
Attleboro, 3 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalMark Sheehan gave the Black Knights the lead just 15 seconds into the game (assisted by Carter Gerome and Sean Doherty), but Attleboro tied it with five minutes remaining on a goal by P.J. Elliott. Will McKenzie scored the eventual game-winner two minutes later shorthanded and Keigan Larkin scored an empty net goal (assisted by Evan Andrews) to wrap up the win. Attleboro held a 51-15 advantage in shots. Stoughton goalie AJ Scott had an “outstanding” game in goal according to head coach Dan Mark.

Attleboro, 62 @ Stoughton, 64 – Final – Stoughton senior Brandon Teixeira hit his fifth three pointer of the game with 13 seconds left to put the Black Knights ahead. Teixeira finished with a game-high 27 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Cam Andrews added 15 points and three steals and Cam Gomes had nine points and five rebounds. Attleboro’s Jake Dunkley had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Lucas Boucicaut had 15 points on over 71% shooting and Andrew Miliken added 12 points and eight rebounds.

Mansfield, 72 @ Canton, 47 – Final – Matt Ehrlich scored a team-high 21 points and Phil Vigeant added in 13 points and four assists for the Hornets. Sam Goldberg chipped in with eight points, five rebounds and four assists. Canton’s Woanyen Mahn had a team-high 10 points. 

Taunton, 57 @ Foxboro, 51 – Final

Franklin, 50 @ Oliver Ames, 48 – Final – Kevin Gill scored a turnaround jumper in the paint off an assist from Sam Harrell with just 0.8 seconds left as Franklin completed a big second half comeback. After being down as much as 14, the Panthers rallied for a big third and fourth quarters. Tim Prunier had a team-high 14 points for Franklin. Tim Kelley had a game-high 15 points for Oliver Ames and Dylan Mahoney added 10. 

King Philip, 63 @ Milford, 66 – Final – Milford’s Dwight Anderson recorded a double-double with a game-high 15 points and 10 rebounds while Dee Torres added 15 points and Nate Davila had eight points. King Philip freshman Kyle Layman also had a double-double with 20 points and 25 rebounds. 

North Attleboro, 55 @ Sharon, 69 – Final – Ricardo Ripley was the top scorer for the Eagles with 18 points while Matt Lowerre hit three three pointers and finished with 11 points. Mitchell Sirota and Adam Banks had strong games and combined for 23 points. Brent Doherty led North Attleboro with a game-high 21 points. 
Girls Basketball
Canton, 24 @ Mansfield, 49 – FinalCaroline Maher led the way for the Hornets, who led 43-14 going into the fourth, with 13 points. Jackie Carchedi had a solid overall game for Mansfield with seven points, six rebounds, and seven steals.
Foxboro, 68 @ Taunton, 36 – Final – Ashley Sampson led the way for the Warriors with 25 points. Cassidy Harrison added 11 and Carolyn Will had 10 for Foxboro.

Oliver Ames, 58 @ Franklin, 47 – Final – Kayla Raymond had a double-double for the Tigers with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Niyera Mitchell added 14 points to pace the Tigers, who outscored Franklin 24-10 in the fourth quarter after trailing by six with four minutes to go. Francesca Calabraro added 10 points and Sam Bamford has six of OA’s 12 steals. Franklin was led by Lauren Rudolph with 10 points and Aubrie Kutil and Margaux Welsh each had seven.
Milford, 41 @ King Philip, 37 – FinalKate Irwin led the Hawks with 18 points and Jill Power added nine points for Milford.
Sharon, 44 @ North Attleboro, 57 – Final – The Rocketeers were led by Caroline Collard with 13 points. Ashley Ahern added 11 points and six assists, while Emily Schromm had 10 for North. Sharon was led by Alyssa Piazza with a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds and 13 points from Charlotte Ransom. 

Stoughton, 58 @ Attleboro, 49 – Final – Jess Greer led Stoughton with 14 points and sophomore Val Whalen chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four different players scored in double figures for the Black Knights. 
Hockey
Attleboro, 3 vs. Littleton/Bromfield, 2 – Final (2 OT)Attleboro won the game on a goal by P.J. Elliott on the first shift of four on four play in the second overtime for the Bombardiers who advance to the tournament’s championship game. Elliott also had the tying goal in the third period. Jack Flynn scored Attleboro’s first goal on the power play. The game counts as a 2-2 draw in terms of tournament qualification.
Taunton, 6 vs. Durfee, 1 Final – Zack Albert and Jordan Hoey scored a pair of goals while Jake Roberts added one and Jack Patneaude scored his first career goal. Mike Volkmann had three assists and Cam Pitts made 14 saves in net for the win.
