Oliver Ames, 5 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalOliver Ames senior Sam Burr allowed just four bases runners in six innings of work, striking out two to earn the win. The Tigers did the majority of their damage in the first inning, scoring four runs and adding one more in the fourth. Mitch Goulet went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Alden Newman had two hits, a stolen base and an RBI for OA.

Sharon, 2 @ North Quincy, 0 – Final (8 inn.)

Softball
Attleboro, 1 @ Taunton, 11 – FinalTaunton belted out 16 hits as a team and senior Courtney Fisher struck out a season-high 11 batters as the Tigers secured a win under the lights at Jack Tripp Field. Eighth grader Hannah Aldrich led the way with four RBI on two hits, including a triple, while Jaime Brown, Liana Duarte, Kya Enos and MacKenzie Handrahan all had two hits and an RBI in the win. Katie Van Zandt drove in two more runs for the Tigers. Fisher allowed just three hits in the win.

Foxboro, 1 @ King Philip, 10 – FinalWith the win, KP clinched the outright Kelley-Rex division title. It is KP’s 10th league title in the past 11 seasons. Click here for photos from the game.

Franklin, 0 @ Bishop Feehan, 1 – FinalFranklin junior Jackie Cherry and sophomore Ally Shea both played well for the Panthers according to FHS coach Kate Fallon-Comeau.

Mansfield, 4 @ Holliston, 0 – FinalSarah Cahill gave up only four hits to pick up the shutout. Mackenzie Burke drove in the first run in the first inning and Mady Bendanillo made it 2-0 scoring on a dropped third strike. In the seventh, Mansfield doubled its lead when Mady Bendanillo sinlged home her sister Kara and Megan Letendre scored on a groundout. Kara Bendanillo went 3-for-3 on the day to lead the Hornets offensively.

Oliver Ames, 6 vs. Walpole, 9 – FinalOliver Ames jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning but were forced to bring around a sixth run in the fourth inning to knot the game 6-6. Walpole went on to score one run in the sixth and two more in the seventh to secure the win. Victora Ziner had a double and a run scored while Katie Abreu, Caroline Mahoney and Kayla Georgeu each knocked in a run and scored. Katie Mills added two RBI and Lexie Campbell plated Lizzie Miller for OA’s sixth run. Click here for photos from the game.

Stoughton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 6 – FinalNorth Attlebor freshman Bella Erti fanned 10 batters while allowing six hits to lead the Rocketeers to a win. Olivia Capobianco cleared the bases with a double, Liz Morehouse and Kristina Murphy had two hits apiece and Ashley Cangiano and Katherine Munley each scored a pair of runs. Karly Estremera, Bri Ferrandiz, Shannon Flaherty, Jordan Lyons, Nikki Coppola, and Haley Stone had hits for the Black Knights and head coach Tim Norton said Loffredo had a good game in the field as well.

Sharon, 0 @ Milford, 6 – Final (3 inn.)Milford’s Jess Tomaso connected for a pair of singles and knocked in a run as Milford notched a win at home as the away team. Emily Piergustavo added a triple, an RBI and a run scored and Kate Irwin had two RBI. Ali Atherton struck out four in two innings of work.

Canton, 6 @ Abington, 9 – Final

Stoughton, 1 @ North Attleboro, 14 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s Andy DeMattio deposited a hat trick and added one assist to lead the Rocketeers to their final league win of the season. Jack Dakin, Nick Ward, Jason McNeany (12 face off wins), Jack Connolly and Tommy Lindstrom each had two points, scoring once and recording an assist. Dan MacDonald scored once and had two assists while Damien Curtis, Owen Costello, Hunter Sarro, Zac Doucette and Ramssey Francois each scored once.

North Attleboro, 16 @ Norton, 5 – FinalNorth had 12 different goal scorers to beat Norton. Camille Pizarro was the top scorer for North with three goals.

Taunton, 13 vs. Coyle & Cassidy, 1 – FinalDelaney Powell capped off the season for Taunton with five goals and an assist to lead the Tigers to a seventh win on the season. Abbey Kingman added two goals and two assists and Bre Conlon and Annie Tate also had a pair of goals apiece. Hannah Moniz and Rosemary McGrath also scored for Taunton.

Boys Tennis
King Philip, 3 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalKing Philip’s second doubles pairing of Aidan Ignatius and Marco DiStefano rolled to a straight set win over Franklin just this past Friday. Trailing 1-4 in the second set against a new Franklin duo, the pair rallied and earned a 6-2, 6-4 win and clinching the Warriors at least a share of the Kelley-Rex title. It marks KP’s first league title since 2013. Cole Ginter (first singles, 6-4, 6-1) and Martin Matous (third singles, 6-2, 6-0) also picked up wins for KP. Franklin’s Eli Brooks won 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 at second singles and James Johnston and Derek Wu earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at first doubles.

Taunton, 4 vs. Coyle & Cassidy, 1 – FinalTaunton recorded its second victory of the season over in-city rival Coyle. Sophomore Brett Beaulieu won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, junior Mike Briggs recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles and senior Eric Gwozdz prevailed 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 at third singles. The team of sophomores Dylan Kullas and Charlie Fiske capped the win with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at first doubles.

Girls Tennis
Milford, 0 @ Foxboro, 5 – FinalFoxboro lost a total of three games in singles play and just five in doubles play in a clean sweep of the visiting Scarlet Hawks. Sophia Prinos (first singles) and Lexi Nelson (second singles) both won 6-0, 6-0 while Julia Muise took a 6-0, 6-3 decision at third singles. The team of Kayla Prag and Olivia Dantona won 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles and sophomore Kendall Milender and senior Jacey Nicklas notched a 6-4, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Franklin, 1 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalKing Philip didn’t drop a game at second or third singles and swept doubles play to earn the win and set up a winner-take-all situation on Wednesday against Taunton for the Kelley-Rex title. KP’s Erin Regnier (second) and Meghan Sepich (third) won 6-0, 6-0 in their respective singles matches. The team of Megan Davenport and Carly Adams won 6-2, 6-2 at first doubles and Corinne Palumbo and Lucy Barnard won 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles. Franklin senior Hannah Sweeney earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at first singles.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalMansfield is tournament bound following a 4-1 win over Oliver Ames. The Hornets swept singles play with Paulina Martin earning a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, Sarah Doyle taking a 6-2, 6-0 victory at second singles and Elizabeth Elsner notching a 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 win at third singles. Chloe Peters and Tessa Garufi earned Mansfield’s fourth point with a 6-2, 6-3 win at first doubles. The team of Olivia Groebe and Kristin Bloumbas picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at second doubles for OA.

Sharon, 3 vs. Martha’s Vineyard, 2 – FinalSharon scored an impressive win over two-time defending D3 State Champion Martha’s Vineyard to move to 17-0. The Eagles will look to complete a perfect regular season on Saturday against Milford. Nupur Shukla won 6-0, 6-3 at first singles, Emily Zhang took a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles and Lulu Yuan prevailed 6-4, 6-4 at third singles as Sharon swept singles matches.

Taunton, 5 @ Coyle & Cassidy, 0 – FinalTaunton won all five matches in straight sets to sweep the season series with city rivals Coyle. Olivia Sweeney won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles, Jordan Pagliuca recorded a 6-1, 6-3 win at second singles and Jillian Pagliuca took a 6-1, 6-0 decision at third singles. The team of Emily Moor and Ashleigh Eason continued their impressive campaign with a 6-1, 6-0 win at first doubles and Caroline Hebert and Jordan Martin prevailed 6-4, 6-0 at second doubles.

Taunton, 4 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalTaunton’s offense plated its first run in the top of the first inning, added two more in the fourth inning and tacked on another insurance run in the seventh inning to record a win on the road. Christian Simoes went 2-for-3 for the Tigers with an RBI and a run scored while Matt Machado (run) and Tyler Medeiros (RBI) each went 1-for-3 for the Tigers.

Mansfield, 3 @ Sharon, 5 – FinalSharon junior Max Tarlin impressed on the bump, tossing six innings with just four hits allowed to earn the win. Tarlin allowed two unearned tuns, walked just one and struck out six for the Eagles. Sharon scored once in the second and then exploded for four runs in the third inning. Aiden Arnold (RBI, run) and Jake Teven (run) each had two hits for the Eagles while Spencer Singer (RBI, run), Drew Naisuler (run), Ben Schwartz (RBI), Danny Emerman (two RBI) and Jake Marglous (run) each had one hit. Mansfield’s Zack Peterson (two RBI) and Kevin Dow (home run) each went 1-for-3 for the Hornets.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Milford, 1 – FinalOliver Ames sophomore Matt McCormack made an immediate impact in his varsity debut, coming on in relief to pick up the win for the Tigers. McCormack came on with the bases loaded and just one out, but escaped the jam with a pair of strikeouts. The sophomore threw 3.2 innings, collecting the win by allowing just one hit while striking out four. OA head coach Joe Abarr praised the defensive work of sophomore Chris Pearsons (six putouts, run) at third base. OA took the lead in the fourth inning when Kyle Gagliardi singled with two outs, stole second and came home on an outfield error. Milford tied the game in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI single from Alex Coady. OA scored the winning run in the sixth, with Pearsons scoring on a passed ball. Alex Macek threw a complete game for Milford, allowing just four hits with seven strikeouts and two unearned runs allowed.

Softball
Foxboro, 1 @ Taunton, 12 – FinalTaunton scored in every inning and picked up a seventh win of the season. Courtney Fisher went the distance in the circle, striking out three. Jaime Brown, Liana Duarte, Kya Enos, and Hannah Aldrich each had three hits for the Tigers and Hailey Medeiros had two hits. Duarte drove in three runs and Medeiros and Aldrich each had two RBI.

Stoughton, 0 @ King Philip, 14 – FinalElise Pereira tossed six shutout innings for the Warriors, striking out 11 in the process. KP hit three homers and pounded out 13 hits on the day. Meghan Gorman went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI, Betsy Walsh went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI, and Paige Kuchy went 2-for-3 with a solo homer. Stoughton only managed three hits – a double by Jordan Lyons and singles from Gina Carafa and Alesandra Lofredo.

Sharon, 3 @ Mansfield, 9 – FinalThe Eagles held a 3-0 lead into the sixth inning before the Hornets rallied with nine runs to pick up the victory. Mady Bendanillo started the rally with a walk and Liz Mackin reached on an error. Sarah Cahill, who picked up the win an struck out nine, singled in the first run and Marissa Staffer followed with a single that plated two and tied the game. Caty DeMassi had an RBI on a fielder’s choice to give the Hornets the lead and Megan Letendre doubled home two runs. Mady Bendanillo came up for a second time in the inning and capped the scoring with a three-run homer.

Milford, 9 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalShannon Cormier collected a pair of hits and knocked in three runs to pace Milford to a win on the road. Cormier also had a stolen base while Emily Piergustavo went 3-for-3 with two runs and a stolen base. Kelley Reichert (1-for-3, home run) earned the win, tossing a complete game with no earned runs allowed. OA’s Katie Abreu went 2-for-3, Lexie Campbell was 2-for-4 and Victoria Ziner had a hit and scored a run for the Tigers.

Taunton, 5 @ Mansfield, 18 – FinalMansfield used eight different goal scorers to pick up a division win. Ann Maher led the way for the Hornets with five goals and Maire Foley added four. Hannah Sternburg made 10 saves for Mansfield. Alana Tavares had a hat trick and Delaney Powell a pair of goals for the Tigers.

Ashleigh Eason won at second singles, taking the first set 6-3 before Foxboro retired due to injury. Jillian Pagliuca won 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 at third singles for the Tigers. The team of Emily Moor and Callie Hebert won 6-2, 6-0 at first doubles and Vanessa Rosa and Jordan Martin won 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles. Foxboro’s Lexi Nelson won 6-2, 6-3 at first singles.

Ferrara won 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 at second singles and Olivia Groebe and Emily Gordon battled for a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) win at second doubles. OA’s first doubles team of Tori Wyman and Kristin Bloumbas notched the team’s first win with a 6-1, 6-3 decision at first doubles. Milford’s Julie Rabinowitz won 6-3, 8-6 at first singles and Caitlin Cafarella won 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 at third singles for the Hawks.

Boys Volleyball
Milford, 3 @ BC High, 2 – Final

Taunton, 3 vs. Quincy, 0 – FinalTaunton punched its ticket to the postseason for the first time since 2013 with a sweep of Quincy, 26-24, 25-19, 25-18. Lance Law had a team-high 12 kills as well as six digs, two blocks and an ace, David Fusiecki had nine kills, 10 digs and an ace and Nick Sorm chipped in with 11 digs, seven assists and four kills for the Tigers.

Val Whalen led Stoughton’s offense with 18 kills while Molly Turner had 14 assists. Christina Gelin, Riley Bagley and Whalen combined for over 70 digs. Canton’s Emma Murphy and Casey Shea each had nine kills and Emma Gobbi added four kills. Nicole Poole finished with 26 assists for the Bulldogs.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalMansfield defended home court with a 25-15, 25-20, 25-21 sweep. Emily Kleber paced Mansfield with 10 kills while Jess Haradon had 16 digs and nine service points and Chloe Peters had 28 assists.

Franklin, 1 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip notched a 25-21, 24-26, 25-13, 25-22 win over Franklin. Sydney Phillips had 17 kills and two blocks, Carly Adams added 21 assists and three kills, Amanda Loewen had seven digs, Emma Lopez chipped in with nine digs and Angela Vellante and Molly Croke combined for 11 digs. For Franklin, Maddie Kuzio had 39 digs, Erin Skidmore and Maggie Doyle each had eight kills and Meaghan Maguire notched six blocks.

Field Hockey
Taunton, 4 @ Attleboro, 1 – FinalTaunton had four different players find the back of the net to get the win. “The team played very well both offensively and defensively,” Taunton head coach Liz Hathaway said. “This was a total team victory and everyone brought their A game.” Kya Enos, Lauren Torres, Annie Tate and Lianda Duarte scored for the Tigers. Duarte, Torres and Enos each had an assist as well. Emma Sheehan earned the win in net with seven saves.

Franklin, 0 @ King Philip, 0 – FinalFranklin sophomore goalie Christina Lucini made 14 saves and junir Kate Morse had two saves herself as Franklin clinched the Kelley-Rex title. Franklin head coach Lisa Cropper said Kayla Marshall, Caroline Lounsbury and Dana Lewandowski all had strong defensive games for the Panthers.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Junior Matt Campbell scored his second goal of the season, putting Oliver Ames in the lead 20 minutes into the game. Senior Thomas McCormick iced the game for the Tigers, finding the back of the net in the final minutes of the match. Junior Cam Vella assisted on both of the goals while Jack Carroll earned the shutout.

Franklin, 2 @ Xaverian, 1 – Final Franklin rallied from a one goal deficit with a pair of second half goals to earn the win. Farley Asmath scored off an assist from Cam LeBlanc to tie the game while Kevin Hall scored the game winner for the Panthers.

Girls Soccer
Sharon, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – Final Francesca Calabraro scored four goals for the Tigers. Julia Roy had the other goal for Oliver Ames. Alex Rabb scored the opening goal of the game for the Eagles, who trailed 2-1 at halftime.

Volleyball
Attleboro, 0 @ Stoughton, 3 – Final

King Philip, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final – The Warriors of Foxboro gave the Warriors of King Philip a big test but KP emerged with a 25-19, 26-24, 28-26 win, one head coach Kristen Geuss described as “hard earned.” Sydney Phillips led KP’s attack with 13 kills while Emma Lopez chipped in six kills.

Franklin, 1 @ Milford, 3 – FinalMilford won 29-27, 25-15, 21-25, 25-13. Kelley Reichert led the Hawks with 11 kills and Ally Zagami had seven kills and 17 digs in the win.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 2 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Attleboro scored once in the first half and once in the second half, while keeping the Black Knights off the board until the final minutes of the game to get the win. Kate LeBlanc put the Bombardiers in front with an unassisted goal in the first half. LeBlanc doubled Attleboro’s lead in the second half on assists from Eliza Sabilla and Ally Pierce. Jackie Evangelista scored her first varsity goal for Stoughton.

Mansfield, 1 @ Canton, 0 – Final Caitlin Whitman had the lone goal of the game for the Hornets, scoring an unassisted tally midway through the second half.

King Philip, 1 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final – King Philip followed the game plan they set in place and executed across the field in a big 1-0 league win over Foxboro. Caitlin Donahue scored the lone goal of the game off of an assist from Liz Furfari.

Franklin, 5 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Senior Alex Sullivan and senior Brayden Downing found the back of the cage in the first half as the Panthers built a 2-0 lead by halftime. Junior Kate Morse had a pair of goals off of corners with assists coming from Maddie Hinkley (her second) and Cassi Ronan. Caroline Lounsbury capped the scoring off an assist from freshman Maeve Ledwith. Senior Sam Hertzberg made a pair of saves, including one on a breakaway, to earn her first win. Shannon Cormier scored Milford’s goal in the game.

Taunton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 2 – Final – Taunton’s defense had a strong showing but couldn’t convert on the offensive end as North Attleboro picked up the win. Taunton received strong performances from Katie Van Zandt, Annie Tate, Liana Duarte, Bre Conlon, Jillian Pagliuca and Kya Enos.

Oliver Ames, 7 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames continued to roll to start the season with a big win on the road. Sarah Stevens and Dimitra Efremidis each netted a pair of goals for the Tigers with Kendall Clifford, Rachel Stryke and Shannon Cahill each scoring once. Kayla Lozzi had two assists in the win while Liz Nuss and Efremidis each had one helper.

Golf
Oliver Ames, 148 @ Stoughton, 181 – Oliver Ames picked up its second win of the season, defeating Stoughton at Easton Country Club. Brady Allbritton led the Tigers with a 36 while Nick Lombardi and Eric LeBlanc each shot 37, and Mark Bissonette and Matt Kelley each carded a round of 38. Stoughton’s Brendan Campbell shot a 43.

King Philip, 157 @ North Attleboro, 144 – Final – North Attleboro senior Robbie Congdon shot a one under par 34 at Heather Hills to lead the Red Rocketeers, who moved to 3-0 on the season.

Milford, 175 @ Foxboro, 182 – FinalRyan Tomaso shot 37 to lead Milford, while Matt Tierney lead Foxboro with a 41

Taunton, 175 @ Attleboro, 170 – Final – The Attleboro Bombardiers picked up their first win of the season in their home opener at Highland Country Club. Ethan Johnson led Attleboro, shooting a 40 while Kyle DelSignore and Corey McKenna each registered a round of 42. Taunton’s Mike Volkmann was the match medalist, shooting a 39.

Mansfield, 3 @ Foxboro, 2 – FinalKristen Bortolotti and Lily Sykes each scored in the first half to give Foxboro a 2-0 lead. But, Stephanie Kemp scored twice to tie the game for Mansfield in the second half and with six minutes remaining Hannah Reiter scored off a corner to give the Hornets the win.

Milford, 2 vs. Hopedale, 1 – Final – Freshman Juliana France off an assist from junior Leeanne Kibbee and Kristen Franzini from an assist by freshman Ashleigh Starks scored the Milford goals. Hawks coach Jay Mastaj said Nicole Dahlgren stood out defensively.

Field Hockey
Sharon, 0 @ Taunton, 7 – Final – Annie Tate netted a hat trick, Kya Enos and Liana Duarte each scored twice and Lauren Torres scored once for Taunton. Duarte also had two assists while Jillian Pagliuca, Diana Brens and Hannah Blackwell each had one helper. Taunton head coach Liz Hathaway said Katie Van Zandt, Bre Conlon, Jocelyn Pagliuca and Kylie Blackwell all played well defensively for the Tigers. Sharon junior goalie Lindsay Modes had a strong performance in net with double-digit saves.

Golf
Attleboro @ King Philip, 3:00

Foxboro, 176 @ Canton, 160 – Final – Canton senior Jackson Maffeo was the match medalist, shooting a 38 while junior Jack Goyetch carded a 39. Pat Duggan added a 41 for the Bulldogs. Foxboro’s Matt Tierney shot a team-best 39 and Colby Nickerson carded a 41 for the Warriors.

Sharon, 174 @ Milford, 164 – Final – Milford’s Ryan Tomaso and Anthony Arcudi tied for the team-best, each shooting a 40 on the day.

Stoughton, 182 vs. Hopedale, 173 – Final Stoughton seniors Cam Doherty and Josh Roos led the Black Knights, each carding a 44.
