Milford, 9 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalAttleboro held a pair of leads, up 4-2 and then again up 5-4 but Milford stormed back to get the win. Kevin Cambrola earned the win in relief for the Scarlet Hawks, shutting down the Bombardiers’ offense. Ryan Goncalves, Alex Macek and Luke Allegrezza each had two hits for Milford while the Hawks capitalized on five Attleboro errors and seven walks.

Canton, 0 @ Taunton, 15 – Final (6 inn.)Taunton scored five runs in the first inning to set the tone and tacked on runs in all other innings except one to beat Canton. Christian Simoes had an impressive day at the plate, going 4-for-5 with four runs scored and three RBI to pace the Tigers’ offense. Jimmy Hoye was 4-for-4 with two RBI and two run scored, Joe Manchester was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, Billy DaRosa had two hits and two RBI and Matt Machado had two hits and two runs scored. Sophomore Griffin Tomaszycki tossed a six inning shutout in his first career start, allowing six hits while recording six strikeouts.

Foxboro, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final (8 inn.)Oliver Ames rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to send the games to extra innings and won with an infield hit an inning later. Senior Cam Johnson came through with the tying hit, driving in Mitch Goulet (walk) and Kyle Gagliardi (single) to tie the game. In the bottom of the eighth, Alden Newman led off with a single, moved to second on a hit batter, moved to third on a sacrifice and beat the tag at home on an infield hit from Gagliardi.

Stoughton, 3 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalFranklin sophomore Jake Macchi delivered a double in the bottom of the sixth inning, knocking in classmate Alex Haba for the go-ahead run to break a 3-3 game and give the Panthers the lead. Bryan Woelfel earned the save with a scoreless seventh inning. Junior Jason Ulrickson earned the win following a tremendous outing, striking out 10 while allowing just four hits and two walks. Jake Lyons added a double and a run scored for Franklin. Ruben Gonzalez was 2-for-3 with a walk, run scored an RBI and Evan Gibb had a two-run double to tie the game for Stoughton.

Sharon, 4 @ King Philip, 10 – FinalKing Philip’s offense erupted for six runs in the sixth inning to break open a tie game. With the Eagles and Warriors knotted at 4-4, King Philip’s bats came to life to plate the go-ahead run and tacked on five more. Chris Wing tossed a complete game, striking out six with three earned runs allowed. Wing also collected two hits at the plate while Stephen Murray went 3-for-3 and Will Weir went 2-for-2.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Mansfield, 5 – FinalNorth Attleboro got off to a good start wtih a run in the top of the first inning but Mansfield with three runs in the bottom half and never surrendered the lead. Big Red came back to tie the game in the top of the third, but Mansfield plated what turned out to be the game winning run in the bottom half. The Hornets tacked on an insurance run in the sixth. Kyle Moran (2-for-3, run) doubled in Colin Gibbons (two runs, RBI) for the game-winner. Zack Peterson also went 1-for-3 with two RBI for Mansfield. Nolan Dousa earned the win, striking out eight with three earned runs allowed.

Softball
Attleboro, 0 @ Milford, 12 – Final (5 inn.)Milford junior Emily Piergustavo continued to dominate at the plate, collecting three hits for the third straight game to pace the Hawks. Piergustavo was 3-for-3 with a double, home run, two runs scored and two RBI. Kaitlyn DeCapua (1-for-2) had two RBI, two runs and a walk, Kelley Reichert also knocked in two runs, Maddy Bonvino (double) reached base three times and Shannon Cormier knocked a run in for Milford. Ali Atherton allowed just two hits while striking out six in a complete game effort to earn the win.

Taunton, 15 @ Canton, 0 – Final (5 inn.)Courtney Fisher retired nine consecutive hitters, including four on strike outs, as the Tigers defeated Canton. Jaylin Couto allowed two hits, but struck out six over her two innings in relief. Jaime Brown (triple, RBI), Liana Duarte (three RBI), and MacKenzie Handrahan (double, RBI) each had two hits, while Couto blasted a three-run home run to lead Taunton’s offensive attack.

Oliver Ames, 10 @ Foxboro, 5 – FinalKatie Mills, Victoria Ziner and Katie Abreu each had multiple hits and played a big role in Oliver Ames’ offensive outburst to beat Foxboro. Mills went 4-for-5 with three RBI scored, Ziner went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a home run and Abreu was 3-for-4 with a run scored for the Tigers. Lizzie Miller added two hits and a run scored, Caroline Mahoney had two hits and Rachel Han went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Kayla Georgeu earned the win, allowing seven hits while striking out five.

Franklin, 12 @ Stoughton, 2 – FinalFranklin junior Jackie Cherry retired the final six batters on strikes and notched a career-high 12 strikeouts to help the Panthers earn a win on the road. Offensively, Tara Hartnett had three RBI, Meg Caron had a pinch-hit two-run single and Alexx Niss went 2-for-4 with a triple and scored three runs. Taylor Levine and Alessandra Leffredo each drove in a run for the Black Knights and Nikki Coppola had a pair of hits.

King Philip, 12 @ Sharon, 0 – Final (5 inn.)King Philip junior Elise Pereira made her mark on both sides of the ball in the Warriors’ win. Pereira allowed just two hits in a complete game effort while striking out 10 batters. At the dish, she had two hits, including a three-run home run for KP. Meg Gorman (double) had three hits while Betsy Walsh and Sydney Phillips each had two hits apiece.

Mansfield, 4 @ North Attleboro, 7 – FinalNorth Attleboro freshman Bella Erti scattered seven hits, struck out five and walked two, while allowing no earned runs to earn the win for Big Red. At the plate, Erti had a solo home run and a double, finishing with two RBI. Sam Courtemanche was 3-for-3 while Meg Barlow and Kristina Murphy were both 2-for-3. Abby Gallagher added three RBI for the Rocketeers and Ashley Cangiano picked up an outfield assist, throwing a run out at home from center. Kara Bendanillo drove in the first Mansfield run with a bases loaded walk in the fourth and Megan Letendre singled in a second. The Hornets added two more in the fifth on an overthrow and a wild pitch. Letendre and Marissa Staffer each had two hits for Mansfield, which finished with eight as a team.

Franklin, 10 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalFranklin limited King Philip to just one goal in the first half and scored five goals in each frame to pick up a key division win. The Panthers raced out to a 5-1 lead after the first two quarters. Eric Civetti scored a game-high four goals and had one assist, Sam Arsenault scored once and had three helpers, Packie Watson notched two goals and one assist, Chase Tanner found the back of the net twice and Nitin Chaudhury had one goal and one assist for Franklin. FHS head coach Lou Verrochi praised the work of sophomore Pat Morrison, saying “he was a beast in close defense.” Connor O’Rourke made eight saves in net and sophomore Jacob Alexander won 13 of 18 faceoffs for Franklin.

Foxboro, 13 @ Hingham, 12 – Final (OT)Sophia DiCenso scored six goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to lead the Warriors to a non-league road win. Meghan Curran scored a hat trick and Sara Addeche made eight saves in the win.

Franklin, 5 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final Franklin lost just one game in doubles play and won all five matches in straight sets to beat Stoughton. James Johnston and Derek Wu won 6-0, 6-0 at first doubles and Tyler DiPalma and Rahul Hosdurg notched a 6-0, 6-1 win at second doubles. Rahul Herur won 6-2, 6-3 at first singles, Eli Brooks didn’t lose a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles and Dan Angermeier won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles.

King Philip, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – FinalIt was another strong performance for the Eagles, who won all five matches in straight sets. Senior Griffin took a 6-2, 6-0 decision at first singles, junior Fred Bondar notched a 6-3, 6-0 win at second singles and junior Andre Olivei recorded a 6-4, 6-4 win at third singles. The team of senior Alex Romantz and Alberto Olivei won 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles and sophomore Danujan Thirumavalavan and senior Sammy Kirshenbaum won 6-3, 6-3 at second doubles.

Mansfield, 3 @ North Attleboro, 2 – FinalMansfield edged out Big Red by sweeping all three singles matches. Senior Benny Lin won 7-5, 6-1 at first singles, sophomore Luke Nickerson took a 6-0, 6-4 decision at second singles and senior Gus Daganhardt prevailed with a 7-6, 6-1 win at third singles. North Attleboro won both doubles matches with senior Daniel Zhang and junior Ben Pfeffer taking first doubles 6-2, 6-2 and Andrew Harris and Vikram Senthilakumaran winning 7-5, 6-2 at second doubles.

Girls Tennis
Milford, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalAll matches were competitive but Milford prevailed with a sweep, winning all five in straight sets. Julie Rabinowitz won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles, Allison Buckenmaier won 6-3, 7-5 at second singles and Caitlin Carafella won 6-1, 6-3 at third singles. The team of Victoria Beyer and Daniella Arojo won 6-4, 6-4 at first doubles and the team of Ashlyn Oliveri and Angela Pillarella won 7-5, 6-1 at second doubles.

Canton, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – FinalTaunton first singles player Olivia Sweeney won her 58th career match, setting a new program record as the Tigers swept Canton. Sweeney won 6-0, 6-4 while Jillian Pagliuca won 6-3, 6-0 at second singles and Vanessa Rosa won 6-2, 3-6, 10-6 at third singles. The team of Emily Moor and Ashleigh Eason won 6-1, 6-0 at first doubles and the team of Jordan Martin and Caroline Hebert won 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles.

Foxboro, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalFoxboro won all five matches in straight sets to bounce back from just its second loss of the season. Junior Sophia Prinos won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, senior Lexi Nelson won 6-0, 6-2 at second singles and junior Kayla Prag took a 6-3, 6-4 decision at third singles. The team of juniors Morgan Krockta and Olivia Dantona won 6-3, 6-1 at second doubles and sophomore Kendall Milender and senior Jacey Nicklas earned a 7-5, 6-0 victory at second doubles for the Warriors.

Stoughton, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalFranklin seniors Madison Derby and Julia Hogan won a tightly contested match at first doubles in a 10 set tiebreaker to punctuate the Panthers’ win over Stoughton. Derby and Hogan won 7-5, 5-7, 10-6 while juniors Hailey Strier and Jillian McLaughlin won 6-3, 6-1 at second doubles. Hannah Sweeney didn’t lose a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles and senior Anja Deric won 6-0, 6-2 at second singles. Stoughton senior Ally Swartz won 6-4, 6-0 at third singles for the Black Knights.

Sharon, 5 @ King Philip, 0 – FinalSharon’s three singles players didn’t lose a single game in a dominating performance on the road. Nupur Shukla (first singles), Emily Zhang (second singles) and Lulu Yuan (third singles) each won 6-0, 6-0. The team of Katie Merport and Emily Wen won 6-3, 6-1 at first doubles and Rithika Neti and Sophia Fein teamed up for a 6-2, 6-1 victory at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro won all five matches in straight sets with its first doubles pair winning without dropping a game. Katie Demontigny and Azka Siddiq won 6-0, 6-0 at first doubles for Big Red. Emily Chiasson won 6-1, 6-1 at first singles, Jordan Willis won 6-0, 6-1 at second singles and Gabby Duva recorded a 6-2, 6-4 win at third singles. Hana Hershey and Shiobhi Nandi capped the win with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at second doubles.

#2 Taunton, 4 vs. #18 Somerset Berkley, 1 – Final – Taunton bounced back from allowing a run in the first inning, plating four unanswered runs to get the win. Jordan Wade and Aimee Kistner each had a pair of hits, including a double apiece, and an RBI. Kya Enos and Katie Van Zandt each went 2-3 with a double and a run scored and Amber Wainwright hit a solo home run. Kistner got in the win, tossing a complete game by scattering four hits and striking out four.

#8 Milford, 9 vs. #24 New Bedford, 2 – Final – Maddy Bonvino (2-3) and Jess Tomaso (1-3) each knocked in a pair of runs as Milford’s offense continued to roll. Kate Irwin went 3-3 with a run scored and a pair of stolen bases and Emily Piergustavo was 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Ali Atherton tossed six innings, striking out five while scattering three hits and one earned run.

#14 Taunton, 2 @ #3 North Attleboro, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s Jhanavi Kapadia and Emily Chiasson battled through an epic three set match at first doubles, overcoming a first set loss to get a 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 win to give the Rocketeers the edge. In a match that took nearly four hours, Kapadia and Chiasson dropped the first set to Taunton’s Ashleigh Eason and Emily Moor before battling back in a tremendous match. Jordan Willis won 6-1, 6-0 at second singles and Allie Grinavic won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles to complete the win for North. Taunton’s Olivia Sweeney won 6-3, 6-2 at first singles and the team of Jillian Pagliuca and Caroline Hebert won 6-4, 6-1 at second doubles.

#18 Franklin, 1 @ #2 Sharon, 4 – Final – Sharon won second and third singles as well as second doubles in straight sets without dropping a game to advance in the tournament. Nate Tellier went 2-for-3 with a double and Robbie Araujo had the game-tying RBI with a triple and scored the eventual game-winning run.

Canton, 6 @ Fairhaven, 0 – Final

Stoughton, 1 @ Milford, 2 – Final (10 inn.) – Milford’s Alex Macek and Stoughton’s Nico Parmeggiani went back and forth in a true pitcher’s duel, neither bending to send the game into extra innings. Macek allowed one earned run in seven innings of work, striking out six with four hits allowed. Parmeggiani allowed just one run in six-plus innings of work, striking out three. Tylor Renaud came on in relief for the Scarlet Hawks, tossing three scoreless innings of one hit baseball to get the win. Renaud then came through with the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 10th, knocking in sophomore Aidan Wilde (walk, stolen base) with a two out single into the gap in right center.

Softball
Oliver Ames, 8 @ Attleboro, 5 – Final OA’s Missy Krim went 2-4 with two runs scored, Jamie Gottwald was 2-3 with a double, a triple, two RBI and two runs scored, Katie Pursley was 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored, Caroline Mahoney was 3-4 with two RBI and Dalene Gomes squeezed in a run and hit in a run on a sacrifice hit to short, finishing with two RBI on the day.

Franklin, 3 vs. Bishop Feehan, 4 – Final – Franklin’s Clara DeCarvalho went 2-3 with an RBI while Olivia Haba, Rachel Cousineau and Julia Arms all played outstanding defensively in the outfield.

Mansfield, 3 vs. Holliston, 8 – Final – Mansfield’s Rachel Carafa knocked in two runs on one hit and Megan Letendre went 2-3. Mady Bendanillo, Maddie Letendre and Sarah Bradley each had one hit for the Hornets.

Mansfield, 1 @ Attleboro, 5 – Final – Attleboro starting pitching Nolan Kane was superb in six innings of work, allowing just one unearned run. Kane struck out four and allowed just three hits to get the win. At the plate, Dakota Kirby was 3-3 with a big two RBI double in the sixth inning and Nate Tellier had a pair of hits, scored one run and had a stolen base. Attleboro head coach Matt Bosh noted that Brandon Galvao played excellent defense at first base. Matt Callahan came in and pitched a 1-2-3 seventh inning for the Bombardiers.

Canton, 2 @ Stoughton, 13 – Final – Ryan Sullivan did it all for the Black Knights, picking up the win on the mound and helping his cause at the plate. Sullivan tossed five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and a pair of walks while striking out four. At the plate, he scored three runs and knocked in a pair of runs. Luke Johnson led Stoughton’s offense, hitting a triple with the bases loaded and finished with another triple a run scored and five RBI. Jake Gibb went 2-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored, Doug Seaman scored two runs, Justin Hutchinson drove in a pair of runs and Nick Quattrucci also had a triple.

Sharon, 4 @ Foxboro, 8 – Final – Darren Kelly and Jesse Galanti each reached base three times and came around to score three runs each to pace Foxboro’s offense. Nick Wright and Steve Couroupacis combined on the mound for seven strikeouts.

Franklin, 6 @ North Attleboro, 2 – Final – Franklin used a four run seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie and secure the win. With the bases loaded and two outs, Franklin sophomore Jake Noviello’s fly ball fell in the infield for a pair of runs and Mike Skaza followed with a two run single to create the separation. North Attleboro took a 1-0 lead in the first inning behind an RBI single from Ridge Olsen, scoring Kyle McCarthy (single). The Panthers tied it up in the top of the third when Ryan Hodgkins singled, stole second and was sacrificed to third. He scored on a sacrifice fly from Nick Santucci. Franklin took the lead in the top of the fifth when Tyler Gomes singled in Hodgkins (triple). The Rocketeers quickly tied things up in the bottom of the inning behind a home run from sophomore Zach DeMattio. Hodgkins finished 2-4 with a pair of runs, Jake Lyons was 2/2 with a run and Santucci finished with three walks, a run and an RBI. Jake Noviello went six innings, striking out a pair while allowing two runs on four hits. Jason Ulrickson closed the game out for Franklin. North Attleboro’s Andy Katch was stellar in 6.2 innings of work, striking out three.

Taunton, 3 @ King Philip, 4 – Final

Milford, 10 @ Oliver Ames, 11 – Final (12 inn.) – In a back and forth affair, Oliver Ames was able to prevail in the 12th inning. Sophomore Mitch Goulet led off the inning with a single, was sacrificed to second and the Tigers walked off on an RBI single from sophomore Matt Muir. Muir and senior Chris Romero each had three hits for the Tigers.

Softball
Attleboro, 4 @ Mansfield, 6 – Final – Mansfield’s Rachel Carafa went 2-3 with an RBI, Maddie Letendre had two hits, Megan Letendre had an RBI and Kara Bendanillo and Jocelyn Reardon each had a hit for the Hornets. Maddie Letendre allowed just three hits while striking out nine for the win.

Stoughton, 3 @ Canton, 2 – Final – Gina Carafa pitched well for the Black Knights, giving up one run on five hits and striking out eight for the win. Offensively, Stoughton was led by Jordan Lyons, Jenni D’Andrea and Nicole Bodette, who got a pair of hits each. Bri Ferrandiz (RBI), Gina Carafa and Sam Tullis also got hits in the win for the Black Knights.

Foxboro, 5 @ Sharon, 8 – Final – Sharon junior Clara Cook threw a complete game, collecting 11 strikeouts and allowing eight hits. Offensively, Cook was 2-4 with a first inning RBI triple and a sixth inning RBI single. Senior catcher Rachel Usen and freshman Rebecca Clayman were also also 2-4, each recording a pair of singles. Sharon head coach Deb Parker said freshman Jody Goldenberg played an outstanding game in right field.

Franklin, 9 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Maddie Connelly and Alexx Niss each knocked in three runs as Franklin picked up a big win over division rival North Attleboro. Connelly went 4-5 with three RBI while Niss had a three-run home run along with three walks. Olivia DiGiacomo added a two RBI double, Clara DeCarvalho had three hits and Olivia Haba had three hits and an RBI. Caroline D’Aprile picked up the win, going five innings with five strikeouts. Emily Sawyer pitched the final two innings for the Panthers.

King Philip, 0 @ Taunton, 2 – Final

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Milford, 10 – Final – It was another perfect day at the plate for sophomore Emily Piergustavo, going 3-3 with a double and an RBI. Shannon Cormier went 2-2 with a pair of RBI and Maggie Farrell knocked in a pair and had a triple. Maddy Bonvino was 2/3 with a double and Jess Tomaso was 1/2 with a sacrifice fly. Ali Atherton tossed a complete game, striking out eight. Oliver Ames’ Rachel Han was 3-4 with a pair of singles, a double and two RBI. Victoria Ziner was 2-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Lexie Campbell (1-3, two runs scored) and Jamie Gottwald also scored for the Tigers on Han’s double.

Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 2 @ King Philip, 14 – Final – Ten different players found the back of the net for King Philip, who built a big lead and never let it go. Freshman Collin DeVellis led the Warriors with a hat trick and one assist while juniors John DeLuca and Ben Palmer each netted a pair of goals and had one assist. Freshman Robbie Tartaglia scored his first career goal in the win.

Canton, 8 @ North Attleboro, 7 – Final (2OT) – Ben O’Neill scored a team-high five goals, including the game-winner in the second overtime to give the Bulldogs a big league win. The Bulldogs trailed 6-4 at halftime but were able to limit Big Red to just one goal in the second half and overtime periods. Canton goalie Chris Albert was a big reason for that with 19 saves. Joe Mulkay, Dan Dillon and Mike Shaw each scored once and Shaun Kirby finished with three assists for Canton.

Milford, 1 @ Foxboro, 25 – Final – Louis Piccolo was in the giving mood on Wednesday, recording a career-high 10 assists in the Warriors’ big win. Piccolo also scored twice while Andrew Whalen scored four goals and had one assist, Trey Guerrini scored four goals and had two assists, Colby Nickerson notched a hat trick and Brian Buckner had one goal and one assist.

Mansfield, 7 @ Franklin, 15 – Final – The Panthers built a six goal lead by halftime and stretched the margin to double figures (16-5) by the start of the fourth quarter. Austin Kent led Franklin with eight points, scoring five goals and adding three assists while sophomore Eric Civetti scored six goals and had one assist. Sam Arsenault added a hat trick in the for Franklin. Freshman Jacob Alexander continued his dominance at the X, winning 23/28 faceoffs. Franklin head coach Lou Verrochi touted the play of his defense in front of sophomore goalie Connor O’Rourke (six saves).

North Attleboro, 16 @ Canton, 2 – Final – Mackenzie Rosenberg led North Attleboro’s offense with five goals while senior goalie Brooke Ebert played strong with 20 saves in net.

Franklin, 18 @ Mansfield, 8 – Final – Julia Jette paced Franklin’s offense with four goals and one assist while Caroline Lounsbury and Annie Walsh each found the back of the net three times in the Panthers’ win.

Mansfield, 4 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – The Hornets swept singles play and won at first doubles to get the divisional win. Benny Lin picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at first singles, freshman Luke Nickerson won 6-1, 7-5 at second singles and Gus Daganhardt won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. Mansfield’s final point came from Danny Radev and Sam Cavicchi with a 6-1, 7-5 win at first doubles. Attleboro’s Khaled Hantash and Ahijah Joseph won 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 at second doubles.

Canton, 5 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final

Sharon, 5 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final – The Eagles won each match in straight sets in a big divisional test against the Warriors. Junior Griffin Fein won at first singles, sophomore Fred Bondar won 6-0, 6-2 at second singles and senior Han Cui took a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. Junior Alex Romantz and senior Adam Dobbin teamed for a 6-2, 6-0 win at first doubles and Tilak Mehta and Dahujan Thiru won 6-0, 6-0 at second doubles for Sharon.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – Franklin won three matches in straight sets and had to battle through to others to get the sweep. Junior Eli Brooks won 6-4, 6-2 at second singles and freshman Dan Barrow picked up a 7-5, 6-3 decision at third singles. James Johnston and Tom Mancini won 6-2, 6-1 at first doubles for Franklin. Junior Rahul Herur had to battle back after dropping the first set to win 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 at first singles. The team of Cam Piana and Jeremy Gan had to the same to get a 6-7, 6-0, 1-0 (10-8) win at second doubles for the Panthers.

Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – Final – King Philip handled business against the visiting Tigers, taking all five matches in straight sets. Cole Ginter won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles, Garrett Schneider won 6-3, 6-0 at second doubles and Blake Ginter won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles. KP’s Sam Colella and Ryan Gemelli won 6-2, 6-2 at first doubles and Justin Rohan and Jake Webster paired for a 6-0, 6-1 victory at second doubles.

Paulina Martin won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles and Kathleen Giffels won by the same score at second singles. Sophomore Sarah Doyle won 6-2, 6-0 at third singles. Mansfield senior Cathryn Heavey and junior Chloe Peters won 6-0, 6-0 and freshmen Tessa Garufi and Elizabeth Elsner won 6-0, 3-6, 7-6 (10-8) at second doubles.

Stoughton, 1 @ Canton, 4 – Final – Canton swept through singles play and added a fourth win via first doubles against rival Stoughton. Carly Scanlon won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Skyler Jabbour won by the same score at second singles and Jude Aboukhater won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles. The Bulldogs wrapped up the win behind a 6-2, 6-1 victory from Tiffany Ha and Sarah MacQuarrie at first doubles. Stoughton’s Becca Lawson and Alyssa McGillicuddy battled back for a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 win at second doubles.

Foxboro, 2 @ Sharon, 3 – Final – Sharon freshman Nupur Shulka won a three set thriller to clinch the match for the Eagles. Shulka dropped the first set but battled back for a 2-6, 6-0, 6-2 win to hand Sharon the win. The Eagles swept doubles play to help clinch the win. Pooja Puttigampala and Katie Merport won 6-0, 6-0 at first doubles and Michelle Cao and Rithica Neti won 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles. Foxboro’s Diana Prinos won 6-1, 6-1 at first singles and Sophia Prinos won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles.

Franklin, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final – The Rocketeers continued their undefeated start to the season with a sweep of visiting Franklin. Julia Mark picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win at first singles, Jordan Willis won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and Allie Grinavic won 6-0, 6-2 at third singles. The Rocketeers continued to win in doubles play with Jhanavi Kapadia and Emily Chiasson winning 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles and Gabby Duva and Azka Siddiq winning 6-2, 6-2 at second doubles.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Oliver Ames swept singles play and notched a win at second doubles to secure the win on the road. Riley Spillane used strong net play to pick up a 6-3, 6-1 win at first singles, Jackie Sulkala’s strong serves aided a 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and freshman Sarah Leger was resilient in a 7-6 (10-8), 4-6, 6-4 win at third singles. OA’s Rachel Stryke and Olivia Groebe won 6-2, 6-4 at second doubles. Milford’s Julie Rabinowitcz and Megan Cafarella won 6-4, 6-3 at first doubles for the Scarlet Hawks.

Franklin, 12 vs. Framingham, 4 – Final – Senior Nick Santucci made a splash in his first game of the season, knocking in five runs behind a three hit day. Santucci had a double, triple and a home run for the Panthers. Jake Lyons was 2-2 (and two walks) with three runs scored, Josh Macchi had three hits with an RBI and a run scored and Alex Bissanti had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI with a run scored. Sophomore Jake Noviello got the win on the mound, tossing six innings with eight strikeouts and just two works, allowing two earned runs.

Mansfield, 0 @ Braintree, 7 – Final – The Hornets were limited to three hits in the game with Tyrone Pascual having a double and Max Boen and Kevin Dow each recording a single.

Sharon, 1 vs. North Quincy, 2 – Final (11 inn.)

Stoughton, 3 @ Taunton, 6 – Final – Luke Figueira struck out 10 in six-plus innings of work to lead the Tigers to their second win in as many days. Figueira allowed three runs, all coming in the seventh, and just four runs. At the plate, the senior had a pair of hits and a run scored. Sophomore Joe Manchester had two hits, two RBI and a run scored and senior Brendon Mazerolle and sophomore Christian Simoes each added two hits, an RBI and a run scored. Mazerolle picked up his first save of the year, inheriting a bases loaded situation – the tying run at the plate – with no outs and was able to get out of the jam.

Softball
North Attleboro, 16 @ Canton, 2 – Final – North Attleboro’s Amelia Murphy tossed a two-hitter to earn the win and helped her own cause at the plate with a home run and a triple. Kaylea Sherman added a home run and a single, Jordan Sharpe went 4-5 with five RBI and Gina Miceli and Rylee Guthrie each added a pair of hits for the Rocketeers.

Franklin, 0 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 2 – Final

Milford, 11 vs. Hopedale, 3 – Final – Ali Atherton didn’t allow a run in six innings of work, scattering three hits and striking out eight to hand Hopedale its first loss of the season. Jess Tomaso was 1-2 with a home run, two RBI and a pair of walks and Meg Jacques went 2-3 with a double and three RBI. Maddy Bonvino went 1/2 with a double, an RBI and a walk and Emily Piergustavo was 1-3 with a sacrifice fly and two RBI.

Oliver Ames, 1 vs. Weymouth, 7 – Final – Freshman Kayla Georgeu pitched seven innings for the Tigers with eight strikeouts, allowing just one earned run. Offensively, Jamie Gottwald was 1-3 with a double and a run scored, Lexie Campbell was 1-3 with an RBI and Missy Krim was 1-2.

Taunton, 12 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final (5 inn.) – Taunton’s Katie Van Zandt had a pair of hits and knocked in three runs to pace Taunton’s offense. Jordan Wade went 3-3 with a pair of triple, two runs scored and an RBI and Aimee Kistner added a pair of hits and a pair of RBI. Kistner struck out six in four innings of work while Courtney Fisher struck out a pair in one inning of work. For Stoughton, Brianna Ferrandiz had a pair of hits and Sam Tullis and Gina Carafa each had one.

Franklin, 11 @ Andover, 10 – Final – Andover scored to get within one late and won the ensuing draw but Grace McDermott forced a turnover and the Panthers were able to run out the remaining 90 seconds to get the win. Kenzie Pleshaw led the way offensively with six goals, Julia Jette had two goals and two assists and Dani Lonati made seven saves in net.
