Attleboro, 3 @ Mansfield, 17 – FinalMansfield raced out to a big lead by halftime and never looked back against the visiting Bombardiers. Aidan Sacco found the back of the net four times while senior Hunter Ferreira had three goals and three assists.

Foxboro, 14 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – FinalFoxboro senior Louis Piccolo had his hand in half of the Warriors’ goals in a win on the road at Oliver Ames. Piccolo scored five goals and added two assists to pace the Warriors’ offense while Brendan Tully had three goals and one assist and Bobby Yerardi added three goals and a pair of helpers. Eric LeBlanc, Owen Gallagher, Shane Kilkelly, Frankie Ireland, and Colin Bourne each scored once for the Tigers while Steve Heino made 20 saves in net.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Franklin, 11 – FinalFranklin pitched a second-half shutout to pull away from visiting North Attleboro. The Panthers led 5-2 at halftime but went on to score six unanswered in the second half to earn the win. Senior Eric Civetti scored a team-high five goals along with two assists, freshman Matt Lazzaro scored twice and had two helpers and Jake Davis chipped in with two assists. Senior goalie Connor O’Rourke made seven saves in the win.

Boys Tennis
Taunton, 5 @ Coyle & Cassidy, 0 – FinalTaunton picked its first win of the season with a pair of singles players winning in straight sets without dropping a game. Senior Francois Hennaux notched his first win at first singles (7-5, 6-0) while junior Brett Beaulieu and Mike Briggs each won 6-0, 6-0 at second and third singles, respectively. The team of Charlie Fiske and Dylan Kullas took a 6-3, 6-3 decision at first doubles while Kyle Dennehy and Trevor Hart earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles.

Boys Volleyball
Taunton, 3 vs. Durfee, 1 – FinalTaunton moved to 4-0 on the season with a 3-1 (22-25, 25-7, 25-11, 25-15) win over visting Durfee. Senior Collin Hunter paced the attack with a team-high 11 kills along with three blocks and an ace. Taunton coach Toby Chaperon noted Alex Tavares (three kills, four blocks) played well at the net for the Tigers and both Gage Kingman and Jason Khang had excellent games defensively. Lens Esquil added nine kills, five blocks, and an ace for Taunton.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalOliver Ames senior Sam Burr allowed just four bases runners in six innings of work, striking out two to earn the win. The Tigers did the majority of their damage in the first inning, scoring four runs and adding one more in the fourth. Mitch Goulet went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Alden Newman had two hits, a stolen base and an RBI for OA.

Sharon, 2 @ North Quincy, 0 – Final (8 inn.)

Softball
Attleboro, 1 @ Taunton, 11 – FinalTaunton belted out 16 hits as a team and senior Courtney Fisher struck out a season-high 11 batters as the Tigers secured a win under the lights at Jack Tripp Field. Eighth grader Hannah Aldrich led the way with four RBI on two hits, including a triple, while Jaime Brown, Liana Duarte, Kya Enos and MacKenzie Handrahan all had two hits and an RBI in the win. Katie Van Zandt drove in two more runs for the Tigers. Fisher allowed just three hits in the win.

Foxboro, 1 @ King Philip, 10 – FinalWith the win, KP clinched the outright Kelley-Rex division title. It is KP’s 10th league title in the past 11 seasons. Click here for photos from the game.

Franklin, 0 @ Bishop Feehan, 1 – FinalFranklin junior Jackie Cherry and sophomore Ally Shea both played well for the Panthers according to FHS coach Kate Fallon-Comeau.

Mansfield, 4 @ Holliston, 0 – FinalSarah Cahill gave up only four hits to pick up the shutout. Mackenzie Burke drove in the first run in the first inning and Mady Bendanillo made it 2-0 scoring on a dropped third strike. In the seventh, Mansfield doubled its lead when Mady Bendanillo sinlged home her sister Kara and Megan Letendre scored on a groundout. Kara Bendanillo went 3-for-3 on the day to lead the Hornets offensively.

Oliver Ames, 6 vs. Walpole, 9 – FinalOliver Ames jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning but were forced to bring around a sixth run in the fourth inning to knot the game 6-6. Walpole went on to score one run in the sixth and two more in the seventh to secure the win. Victora Ziner had a double and a run scored while Katie Abreu, Caroline Mahoney and Kayla Georgeu each knocked in a run and scored. Stoughton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 6 – FinalNorth Attlebor freshman Bella Erti fanned 10 batters while allowing six hits to lead the Rocketeers to a win. Olivia Capobianco cleared the bases with a double, Liz Morehouse and Kristina Murphy had two hits apiece and Ashley Cangiano and Katherine Munley each scored a pair of runs. Karly Estremera, Bri Ferrandiz, Shannon Flaherty, Jordan Lyons, Nikki Coppola, and Haley Stone had hits for the Black Knights and head coach Tim Norton said Loffredo had a good game in the field as well.

Sharon, 0 @ Milford, 6 – Final (3 inn.)Milford’s Jess Tomaso connected for a pair of singles and knocked in a run as Milford notched a win at home as the away team. Emily Piergustavo added a triple, an RBI and a run scored and Kate Irwin had two RBI. Ali Atherton struck out four in two innings of work.

Stoughton, 1 @ North Attleboro, 14 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s Andy DeMattio deposited a hat trick and added one assist to lead the Rocketeers to their final league win of the season. Jack Dakin, Nick Ward, Jason McNeany (12 face off wins), Jack Connolly and Tommy Lindstrom each had two points, scoring once and recording an assist. Dan MacDonald scored once and had two assists while Damien Curtis, Owen Costello, Hunter Sarro, Zac Doucette and Ramssey Francois each scored once.

North Attleboro, 16 @ Norton, 5 – FinalNorth had 12 different goal scorers to beat Norton. Camille Pizarro was the top scorer for North with three goals.

Taunton, 13 vs. Coyle & Cassidy, 1 – FinalDelaney Powell capped off the season for Taunton with five goals and an assist to lead the Tigers to a seventh win on the season. Abbey Kingman added two goals and two assists and Bre Conlon and Annie Tate also had a pair of goals apiece. Hannah Moniz and Rosemary McGrath also scored for Taunton.

Boys Tennis
King Philip, 3 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalKing Philip’s second doubles pairing of Aidan Ignatius and Marco DiStefano rolled to a straight set win over Franklin just this past Friday. Trailing 1-4 in the second set against a new Franklin duo, the pair rallied and earned a 6-2, 6-4 win and clinching the Warriors at least a share of the Kelley-Rex title. It marks KP’s first league title since 2013. Cole Ginter (first singles, 6-4, 6-1) and Martin Matous (third singles, 6-2, 6-0) also picked up wins for KP. Franklin’s Eli Brooks won 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 at second singles and James Johnston and Derek Wu earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at first doubles.

Sophomore Brett Beaulieu won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, junior Mike Briggs recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles and senior Eric Gwozdz prevailed 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 at third singles. The team of sophomores Dylan Kullas and Charlie Fiske capped the win with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at first doubles.

Milford, 0 @ Foxboro, 5 – FinalFoxboro lost a total of three games in singles play and just five in doubles play in a clean sweep of the visiting Scarlet Hawks. Sophia Prinos (first singles) and Lexi Nelson (second singles) both won 6-0, 6-0 while Julia Muise took a 6-0, 6-3 decision at third singles. The team of Kayla Prag and Olivia Dantona won 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles and sophomore Kendall Milender and senior Jacey Nicklas notched a 6-4, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Franklin, 1 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalKing Philip didn’t drop a game at second or third singles and swept doubles play to earn the win and set up a winner-take-all situation on Wednesday against Taunton for the Kelley-Rex title. KP’s Erin Regnier (second) and Meghan Sepich (third) won 6-0, 6-0 in their respective singles matches. The team of Megan Davenport and Carly Adams won 6-2, 6-2 at first doubles and Corinne Palumbo and Lucy Barnard won 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles. Franklin senior Hannah Sweeney earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at first singles.

The Hornets swept singles play with Paulina Martin earning a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, Sarah Doyle taking a 6-2, 6-0 victory at second singles and Elizabeth Elsner notching a 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 win at third singles. Chloe Peters and Tessa Garufi earned Mansfield’s fourth point with a 6-2, 6-3 win at first doubles. The team of Olivia Groebe and Kristin Bloumbas picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at second doubles for OA.

Sharon, 3 vs. Martha’s Vineyard, 2 – FinalSharon scored an impressive win over two-time defending D3 State Champion Martha’s Vineyard to move to 17-0. The Eagles will look to complete a perfect regular season on Saturday against Milford. Nupur Shukla won 6-0, 6-3 at first singles, Emily Zhang took a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles and Lulu Yuan prevailed 6-4, 6-4 at third singles as Sharon swept singles matches.

Taunton, 5 @ Coyle & Cassidy, 0 – FinalTaunton won all five matches in straight sets to sweep the season series with city rivals Coyle. Olivia Sweeney won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles, Jordan Pagliuca recorded a 6-1, 6-3 win at second singles and Jillian Pagliuca took a 6-1, 6-0 decision at third singles. The team of Emily Moor and Ashleigh Eason continued their impressive campaign with a 6-1, 6-0 win at first doubles and Caroline Hebert and Jordan Martin prevailed 6-4, 6-0 at second doubles.

Attleboro, 2 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalFor the second straight year, an Attleboro pitcher fired a no-hitter under the lights at Community Field in the annual Blue-Red Cup game. Sophomore Eoin Kelleher tossed his first career no-hitter, striking out three while allowing five walks. Attleboro senior Matt Callahan provided the offense, hitting his first career home run in the second inning. North tied the game when Kyle McCarthy walked, advanced to second on a ground out and came on an infield error. Callahan gave Big Blue the lead back in the top of the seventh with his second career home run.

Franklin, 8 @ Framingham, 4 – FinalFranklin junior James Leofanti allowed just two runs in five innings of work in his first career start to earn the win. Leofanti allowed four hits, walked two and struck out four while Ben Guzman struck out three in two innings of work in relief. Offensively, Ryan Hodgkins collected four hits, including a double, while scoring one run and knocking in another. Josh Macchi had two doubles, a run and an RBI, Tyler Gomes had two hits and two runs and Jake Noviello reached base three times, scored once and had three RBI.

Attleboro, 2 @ North Attleboro, 9 – FinalNorth Attleboro swept the season series with the Bombardiers and claimed the Blue-Red Cup with the win. Liz Morehouse had three hits for the Rocketeers, while Meg Barlow, Olivia Capobianco, and Abby Gallagher each had two. According to head coach Bill Wallace, Abby Warren and Andrea Miceli both played well defensively for North and Bella Erti gave up two unearned runs, while striking out eight in six innings.

Foxboro, 0 @ Milford, 15 – Final (5 inn.)Milford scored 14 runs in the first inning off of 11 hits in a big win over Foxboro. The Scarlet Hawks totaled 18 hits as a team with Jess Tomaso (three-run home run, double, five RBI), Maggie Farrell (two RBI), Emily Hartman (double, RBI) and Ali Atherton (triple, two RBI) each recording three hits apiece. Atherton earned the win, striking out six with two hits allowed.

King Philip, 3 @ Newton North, 4 – FinalElise Pereira allowed just one earned run but the Warriors fell to Newton North for the second time this season. Newton North went up 2-0 before KP cut the lead in half. Newton North extended it to 4-1 before KP cut it to one run again but the Warriors couldn’t complete the comeback. Nicole Carter had a two-run double for KP while Sydney Phillips had an RBI single and Hailey McCasland contributed with two hits.

Mansfield, 5 vs. Needham, 3 – FinalSarah Cahill picked up the win for the Hornets, striking out nine and scattering five hits, as Mansfield swept the season series with the Rockets. Mackenzie Burke was 3-for-3 on the day for Mansfield and her single started a three-run rally in the third. Kara Bendanillo and Megan Letendre followed with singles and Mady Bendanillo drove in a pair another single. Liz Mackin drove in the third run with a sac fly. Mansfield added two in the sixth, with Kerran Holmes scoring on a passed ball and Kara Bendanillo driving in Burke.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Braintree, 10 – FinalOliver Ames’ Victoria Ziner collected three hits, including two doubles, and knocked in three runs to pace the Tigers offense. Kayla Georgue launched a solo home run while Lizzie Miller and Sarah Tetrault each had a hit and scored a run.

Taunton, 16 vs. New Bedford, 0 – Final (5 inn.)Taunton senior MacKenzie Handrahan was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, knocking in a pair of runs and freshman Hannah Aldrich went 2-for-3 with four RBI to lead the Tigers. Jaime Brown and Bekah Lajoie each went 3-for-3 with an RBI and Hailey Medeiros was 2-for-2 with a pair runs batted in. Eighth grader Kelsey White allowed just one hit in three innings of work, striking out five while freshman Jaylin Couto struck out four without allowing a hit in two innings.

Attleboro, 16 @ Milford, 4 – FinalAttleboro’s Zach Viau scored a team-high five goals while Andrew Milliken netted four to lead the Bombardiers past Milford in a non-league game. Trevor Koppy made 16 saves in net for Big Blue.

North Attleboro, 8 @ Bishop Feehan, 4 – FinalFeehan jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first quarter but the Rocketeers rattled off a 5-0 run during the second quarter to seize control and never look back. Jason McNeany (two goals) won 10 face offs while Dan MacDonald turned away an impressive 21 shots while also grabbing five ground balls. Zach McGowan had two goals and seven assists, Jack Dakin added two more goals, Owen Costello scored once and had an assist, Tommy Lindstrom had one helper and Colin Young finished with one goal.

Foxboro, 17 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalFreshman goalie Sara Addeche recorded her first varsity shutout in the win and Foxboro had 11 different goal scorers in the game.

Mansfield, 19 vs. Dartmouth, 5 – Final

Oliver Ames, 7 @ Sharon, 12 – Final – With Friday’s win over OA, their 11th of the season, the Eagles set a new program record for wins in a season. Alex Rabb scored four goals to lead the way for Sharon, while Emma Eberhardt and Sabrina Robbins each had hat tricks and Anna Crosby had a pair of goals. Liv Piazza scored four goals for the Tigers and Ari Waldorf made 19 saves.

Taunton, 8 vs. New Bedford, 10 – FinalEighth grader Alana Tavares scored five goals and assisted on another but it wasn’t enough for the Tigers against New Bedford. Lorna Li made 14 saves in defeat.

Attleboro, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – FinalNorth Attleboro dropped just three games in singles play and four total in doubles play to earn the clean sweep of Attleboro. Zac Pfeffer won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, Barsomo Nuay took a 6-0, 6-1 decision at second singles and Andrew Harris notched a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles. The team of Daniel Zhang and Ben Pfeffer won 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles and Keigan Beaugh and Brendan Hurd won 6-2, 6-1 at second doubles.

Franklin’s Eli Brooks won 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-5) at third singles and the team of James Johnston and Rohan Herur won 6-4, 6-1 at first doubles.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Brockton, 2 – FinalOliver Ames junior Joseph Lorizio prevailed from a third set tiebreaker with an 11-9 edge, handing the Tigers the win over Brockton and their first win of the season. OA also won both doubles matches in straight sets.

Sophomore Brett Beaulieu won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, junior Mike Briggs won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and senior Eric Gwozdz notched a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. Baseball
Franklin, 4 @ Attleboro, 3 – FinalFranklin senior Steve Ferguson scored what turned out to be the winning run on a squeeze play in the top of the seventh and the Panthers held off a late surge from Attleboro to earn the win. Franklin scored two runs in the top frame to go up 4-1. Jake Noviello went 6.1 innings for Franklin, striking out nine with four hits allowed to earn the win. Bryan Woelfel picked up the last two outs to earn the save for Franklin. Offensively, Jake Lyons had two hits, including a double, and scored a run, Ryan Hodgkins belted an RBI triple and scored a run and Cam Lupien knocked in a run. Attleboro’s Matt Callahan had two hits, scored a run and drove in two, Dylan Maskell had two hits and an RBI and Tyler Davis reached base four times, stole two bases and scored once. Tyler McGovern was the tough luck loser on the mound, tossing a complete game. “He pitched well, made it tough for us,” said FHS head coach Zach Brown.

Foxboro, 9 @ Canton, 7 – FinalColin Thoener did it all for the Warriors, tossing a complete game and knocking in a team-high four RBI in a close win over Canton. Thoener scattered seven hits, walked two and struck out five to earn the win while going 2-for-4 at the plate with four RBI. AJ Bubencik also had a strong day offensively, going 3-for-4 with three runs and a stolen base and sophomore Anthony Mollica had two hits, three RBI and two stolen bases.

Mansfield, 8 @ King Philip, 5 – Final (8 inn.)Kevin Dow (2-for-4) knocked in Cullin Anastasia (2-for-3, RBI) for the winning run in the top of the eighth and Aidan Cahill brought in two more insurance runs — Max Boen (2-for-2, RBI) and Matt Farragher — as Mansfield escaped with an 8-5 win in extras at King Philip. Mansfield took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first but KP responded with two in the bottom half. The Hornets tacked on single runs in the second and third to make it 5-2, but KP cut into the deficit with a run in the third and tied the game with two runs in the fifth. Mansfield’s Kyle Moran earned the winning, tossing 3.1 innings in relief with just two hits allowed and two strikeouts. Stephen Murray knocked in two runs for KP while Will Weir (2-for-4, two runs) and Ben Furfari (2-for-4) each knocked in one.

Milford, 2 @ North Attleboro, 9 – FinalNorth Attleboro junior Peter Cohen shined in his first ever varsity start, allowing just one run on four hits and no walks, striking out five to lead the Rocketeers to a big division win. Offensively, the Rocketeers had nine hits, scoring two runs in the first, five in the second and tacking on single runs in each the third and fifth innings. Zach DeMattio (three RBI) belted a two-run home run in the first and John Brennan had a solo home run in the third.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Taunton, 8 – FinalTaunton junior Christin Simoes had two hits, including a home run, and knocked in a pair of runs as Taunton prevailed against OA. OA took a 1-0 lead in the first, only for Taunton to respond with two runs in the bottom half. Taunton added three more in the third to take a 5-1 lead. OA didn’t go quietly, tying the game with four runs in the fourth but Taunton added three more in the sixth to get the win. Jacob Crawford added two hits and Matt Machado had one hit and an RBI for Taunton. Tyler Medeiros earned the win on the mound, tossing a complete game with seven strikeouts and four earned runs allowed. Oliver Ames’ Cam Johnson went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI and Sam Burr added two hits as well.

Sharon, 3 @ Stoughton, 4 – FinalStoughton overcame a one run deficit with the tying run in the third and then the go-ahead run in the fifth to edge out the Eagles and clinch their second straight Davenport title. Senior Josh Roos delivered the big hit for the Black Knights, connecting for a one-out triple in the fifth and came on a sac fly from Ruben Gonzalez for what turned out to be the winning run. Gonzalez also scored the tying run in the third, scoring on a passed ball after singling and stealing second. Stoughton took the lead with two runs in the first on Luke Johnson’s two-out two-run triple. Johnson also earned the win on the mound, going six innings with three runs allowed on eight hits, three strikeouts and one walk. Evan Gibb pitched a scoreless seventh inning for the save.

Softball
Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalFranklin got all three of its runs within the first two innings and junior Jackie Cherry did the rest in the circle, tossing a complete game shutout. Franklin freshman Anna Balkus singled, stole second and used two wild pitched to come home. Ally Shea also scored in the first inning for the Panthers. In the second inning, Cherry helped her own cause, reaching in the second and having courtesy running Emma DiPhilippo scoring the Panthers’ third run. In the circle, Cherry allowed just two hits, issued two walks and struck out five.

Canton, 5 @ Foxboro, 10 – Final

North Attleboro, 3 @ Milford, 6 – FinalNorth Attleboro cut into MIlford’s 3-0 lead with a pair of runs in the top of the third but the Scarlet Hawks had an answer, tacking on two runs in the bottom of the fourth to pick up the win. The teams traded single runs in the sixth inning. Junior Emily Piergustavo paced Milford’s offense, going 4-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI and two runs scored. Kate Irwin (1-for-3) added three runs, Jess Tomaso had two hits and an RBI and Maggie Farrell reached twice and knocked in one run. MHS head coach Steve DiVitto said Maddy Bonvino “played an exceptional defensive game at second base.” Kelley Reichert picked up the win, going six innings, scattering five hits and striking out one. Ali Atherton earned the save, striking out two in one inning of work. For North Attleboro, Meg Barlow had two hits and a a run scored and Ashley Cangiano drove in pinch runner Kat Munley.

Canton, 18 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalCanton senior CJ Martin netted first career goal and then went on to add two more to record a hat trick in the Bulldogs’ big win. Brian Albert and Alec Raguso also scored their first career goals while Connor Proctor and Matt Mackay found the back of the net for the first time this season.

Foxboro, 5 @ Franklin, 9 – Final – Franklin raced out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter and used that strong start to take down Foxboro. The Panthers gained a 7-3 edge by halftime but were blanked in the third quarter by Foxboro’s defense and the Warriors cut the deficit to three at 7-4 entering the fourth. But Franklin recovered and won the fourth quarter 2-1 to prevail with a win. Eric Civetti had three goals and three assists, Packie Watson also netted a hat trick and had one assist and Nitin Chaudhury had one goal and one assist. Chase Tanner and Jake Davis each added one goal while sophomore Jacob Alexander notched 15 wins at the face off X.

North Attleboro, 12 @ Mansfield, 6 – FinalNorth Attleboro built a commanding 7-2 lead by halftime and never looked back to notch a key road win and clinch the Davenport division outright. Jason McNeany won 10 of the 15 face offs he participated in to help give Big Red the possession edge. Jack Dakin scored a team-high five goals and added two assists, Zach McGowan (two goals, two assists) totaled four points and McNeany finished with a pair of goals and one assist. Owen Costello also recorded four points for the Rocketeers while Colin Young scored once and had one assist, Tommy Lindstrom added two assists and Hunter Sarro notched one helper.

The team of James Johnston and Derek Wu continued their strong season with a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles while Dan Angermeier and Tony Calderone won 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles.

KP’s team of Ryan Gemelli and Marco DiStefano earned a key 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 win at first doubles to seal the win. Taunton, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalTaunton’s first doubles of sophomores Dylan Kullas and Charlie Fiske emerged victorious from a 10-set super tie breaker to complete the Tigers’ clean sweep. Kullas and Fiske won 6-7, 7-5, 11-9 while the team of junior Kyle Dennehy and freshman Alex Pugh won 6-2, 6-4 at second doubles. Franklin’s first doubles team of Madison Derby and Julia Hogan won 6-4, 6-3 and juniors Jillian McLaughlin and Alexa Katsaros notched a 7-5, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Stoughton, 6 @ Canton, 3 – FinalFor the second straight game, Stoughton rallied from a deficit and plated the game-winning runs in the seventh innings. Jackson Maffeo’s three-run home run put the Bulldogs ahead 3-0 but Stoughton chipped away, tying the game with two runs in the sixth and went ahead with three runs in the seventh. Ryan Sullivan and Jack Connelly each had a single in the sixth and both came around to score to tie the game. Nick Hardy doubled to lead off the top of the seventh, advanced to third and came home on a double from Sullivan. Luke Johnson followed with a two-run double to put Stoughton up 6-3. Justin Hutchinson earned his seventh win of the seven, tossing three hitless innings with seven strikeouts. Hutchinson struck out the side in the sixth and retired the side in order in the bottom of the seventh.

Foxboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalMansfield’s Colin Gibbons launched a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Hornets a close win over Foxboro. Mansfield took the lead in the bottom of the second when Anthony DeGiolamo (1-for-2) drove in Cullin Anastsia (2-for-3). Foxboro tied the game in the top of the third when Anthony Mollica knocked in John Cronin. Gibbons finished with two hits in the game. Connor Sheehan earned the win in a complete game effort, allowing just four hits while striking out four.

King Philip, 1 @ Sharon, 3 – FinalSharon junior Max Tarlin tossed a complete game and the Eagles’ offense did all of its damage early to notch a non-league win over KP. Tarlin allows five hits, five walks, one earned run and struck out seven in a complete game effort to earn the win. After Ben Stamm battled for a single, junior Drew Naisuler (2-for-3, double) launched a two-run home run to put the Eagles head. Aiden Arnold (2-for-2) followed that with a triple and scored on a single from Danny Emerman. SHS head coach Kee Arguimbau said senior Jake Marglous played incredible defense at catcher for the Eagles.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 13 – FinalNikki Coppola went 4-for-4 with two triples and four runs scored and Karly Estremera went 4-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI to power the Black Knights offense. Gina Carafa had three hits and three RBI and got the win with six innings of work, striking out nine. Shannon Flaherty also had a pair of hits and drove in two for Stoughton. Canton was led offensively by Molly Loughran, who was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles.

Franklin, 9 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalFranklin scored three runs in the third and added three more in the sixth inning to beat Foxboro in a game continued from Sunday (rain). Franklin held a 1-0 lead when the game resumed. Olivia DiGiacomo (four RBI) went 3-for-4 and put an exclamation point on the day with a bases-clearing double in the sixth inning. Kylie Bouzan added two hits and scored a pair for runs for Franklin. Jackie Cherry pitched four innings, retiring the side in order in the first, second and third innings. Emily Valentino pitched the last three innings and recorded three strikeouts. FHS head coach Kate Fallon Comeau said Tara Hartnett played excellent defense at shortstop.

King Philip, 3 @ Milford, 6 – FinalHolding a 3-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth, Milford tacked on three runs and then held off King Philip’s late comeback attempt. Shannon Cormier went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a run scored and an RBI, Kaitlin DeCapua had an RBI single, Maddy Bonvino had two hits, including a double, and a run scored and Emily Piergustavo reached base four times and scored one run. Ali Atherton (three strikeouts) earned the win, escaping a pair of jams in both the sixth and seventh innings. King Philip’s Hailey McCasland, Jenn Hutnyan, Jess Bonner and Nicole Carter each had two hits apiece for the Warriors.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Walpole, 13 – Final Lexie Campbell had a pair of hits while Victoria Ziner (double), Caroline Mahoney and Katie Mills had recorded one hit for the Tigers.

Taunton, 24 @ New Bedford, 0 – Final (5 Innings)Taunton booked its place in the state tournament with a dominating win against the Whalers. Courtney Fisher and Jaylin Couto combined on a one-hitter and struck out 11 batters. Kya Enos went 3-for-3 with four RBI and homer, Rebekah Lajoie went 5-for-5 with five RBI and a homerun and eighth grader Hannah Aldrich drove in four for the Tigers. Katie Van Zandt (three RBI) and Alexa White also hit homers for Taunton.

Canton, 8 @ Mansfield, 10 – FinalMansfield goalie Sean Powers turned away 12 shots and Sam O’Connell accounted for four points as the Hornets clipped Canton. Tommy Donnelly and Mike Zampine had strong games on defense in front of Powers. O’Connell scored a hat trick and had one assist while Aidan Sacco scored twice and Cullen Murphy, Hunter Ferreira, Joe Cox and Brad Grant each had a goal and an assist. Danny DeGirolamo also scored once for Mansfield.

Milford, 78 @ Canton, 58 – FinalCanton’s Muhammed Sambo and Cordell Smith each qualified for states but the Bulldogs fell to Milford. Sambo came in first in the 200M at 23.1 while Smith finished first in the high jump (5’10). Gerry Sullivan also came in first for the Bulldogs, clocking in at 2:11.9 in the 800M. Canton swept the 400M hurdles with John Guenthner coming in first (1:01.1), Matt Floyd (1:03.6) coming in second and Riley McDonnell (1:04.00) taking third.

Girls Track
Milford, 78 @ Canton, 58 – FinalCanton’s Bronwyn Mahoney and Sarah Collins each won a pair of events but Milford prevailed with a win. Mahoney took first in the shot put (29’6.5″) and discus (68’8″) and Collins won the 400M hurdles (71.5) and the 800M (2:34.5). Andrea McNeil was first in the one mile (5:57.4) and second in the 800M (2:37.3) and Jimisha Williams crossed first in the 200M (28.0).

Attleboro, 3 @ Foxboro, 4 – FinalFoxboro junior Joe Freitas’ third hit of the game broke a tie game, handing the Warriors the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Freitas (3-for-3) slapped a two-out RBI single to bring the game-winning run home for Foxboro. The Warriors held a 3-1 lead until Attleboro tied the game with two runs in the top of the third. Foxboro’s Colin Thoener tossed a complete game to earn the win, allowing just one hit and no earned runs. He struck out seven.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Canton, 1 – FinalCanton scored an unearned run in the first and that was all that junior Robbie Wilkinson needed, as he tossed a complete game shutout and allowed only four hits on 76 pitches, striking out two. Sophomore Tom Parker was just about as good on the hill for the Tigers, allowing no earned runs and only four hits in the loss. Sam Burr accounted for two hits for the Tigers.

Franklin, 4 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalFranklin junior Bryan Woelfel tossed a complete game shutout and senior Jake Lyons had three hits to pace the Panthers past Sharon. Woelfel earned the win by going the distance, allowing just four hits, two walks and retiring seven batters on strikes. Lyons had a double and a run scored while Ryan Hodgkins had two hits and a run scored and Tyler Gomes went 1-for-1 with a walk and a sacrifice fly.

King Philip, 8 @ North Attleboro, 7 – FinalKing Philip’s offense got off to a strong start with five runs in the first inning but had to rally when the Rocketeers put up seven straight runs. North tied the game with five runs in the second and went up 7-5 on two runs in the fourth. KP tied the game up with two runs in the fifth and knocked in the winning run in the sixth inning. KP totaled 11 hits as a team with Will Weir going 3-for-4, Ben Furfari added two hits and Jeremy Rhines recording two RBI. Jack Webster earned the win in relief while Dan Antunes picked up the save, tossing two innings without giving up a hit.

Mansfield, 12 @ Milford, 4 – FinalMansfield’s offense wasted little time to get going, scoring two runs in the first inning and then adding on three runs in each the second, third and fourth innings. The Hornets tacked on their final run in the sixth. Colin Gibbons had the big day at the plate for Mansfield, going 2-for-4 with five runs knocked in, Anthony DeGirolamo was 2-for-2 with a pair of walks and four runs scored, Matt Farragher had four hits and three runs scored and Max Boen recorded three hits and scored three runs. Kevin Dow earned the win, allowing just one earned run in five innings of work. David Simmons was solid in two innings of relief, allowing just one hit with three strikeouts.

Taunton, 3 @ Stoughton, 4 – FinalStoughton scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to prevail with a win over Taunton. The Tigers held a 3-1 advantage heading into the final inning but the Black Knights rallied to load the bases. Senior Ryan Sullivan came through and a bases-clearing double to walk off with the win. Ruben Gonzalez knocked in Stoughton’s first run with an RBI double while Pat Hagerty was 2-for-2 with two runs scored for the Black Knights. Justin Hutchinson earned the win in two innings of relief, allowing two hits and retiring three batters on strikes. Tyler Medeiros had a strong outing for the Tigers, striking out six with four hits allowed and just one run in six innings of work.

Canton, 8 @ Oliver Ames, 11 – FinalOliver Ames surged ahead to take a 9-7 lead in the fifth inning and tacked on two insurance runs in the sixth to beat Canton. Lexie Campbell was 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored, Caroline Mahoney went 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI, Rachel Han had a home run and scored a pair of runs, Kayla Georgeu had one hit, two runs and two RBI and Alyssa Gavin added an RBI.

Nicole Carter also knocked in a pair of runs in KP’s win. Elise Pereira came on in relief and provided two scoreless innings for the Warriors. Ashley Cangiano had a pair of triples and drove in a pair of runs and Sam Courtemanche went 3-for-4 for the Rocketeers. Olivia Capobianco had three stolen bases and two runs scored for North.

Piergsutavo was 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored while Kaitlyn DeCapua also had four hits, scoring once and knocking in three runs. Maggie Farrell was 3-for-3 with a double and two runs score and Maddy Bonvino had two hits, including a triple and an RBI. Kelley Reichert struck out four in a complete game effort to earn the win while also helping the offense with a three-run home run. Sarah Cahill and Caty DeMassi each had a hit Hornets.

Stoughton, 1 @ Taunton, 4 – FinalEighth grader Kelsey White gave up one unearned run and just four hits in her first varsity start. White struck out nine and walked none in a complete game win. Stoughton took the lead but Taunton tied it in the third with a single run and then took the lead in the fifth on an single by Hannah Aldrich that plated pinch runner Alexa White. A leadoff double in the sixth by McKenzie McAloon started a two-run rally that sealed the win for the Tigers. One run scored on an grounder by Jaime Brown and the second on a single by Kya Enos. Stoughton was led offensively by Karly Estremera with two hits and the team’s lone run.

Nick Ward, Paul Yeomans, Max Fontes, Zac Doucette and Dan Conroy each tallied a goal for the Rocketeers while Jack Connolly had an assist. Jack Puccio (six saves) and Jake McNeany (five saves) split the game in net for North.

Franklin, 15 vs. North Andover, 5 – FinalFranklin sophomore Annie Walsh had a standout performance, netting a team-high six goals to pace the Panthers. Jordan Jette had four assists to go along with one goal, Erin Walsh scored a hat trick and had one helper, Caroline Lounsbury also netted a hat trick and Kelsey MacCallum scored a pair of goals and added one assist. FHS head coach Kristin Igoe Guarino said Halle Atkinson had a strong game in the midfield with two draw controls and two ground balls.

King Philip, 21 @ Taunton, 4 – FinalKatie Crowther led the way for King Philip with six goals and the Warriors had 14 different players tally at least one goal. Caroline Watson made eight saves in net for KP while Christina Hathaway scored her first goal. Olivia Tormey and Caroline Klim each scored two goals in the win. Alana Tavares and Delaney Powell each scored a pair of goals for the Tigers and Lorna Li made 19 saves in the loss.

Mansfield, 14 @ Oliver Ames, 10 – FinalOliver Ames’ Kendall Clifford found the back of the net five times and Chloe Kikelly scored a hat trick but the Tigers fell just short to Mansfield. OAHA head coach Abby Tepper said Katie Davenport, Sydney Hedrick, Grace McCallum and Dimitra Efremidis all played great defensively. Ari Waldorf made 15 saves in net for the Tigers.

Grant also had two kills and three blocks while Lance Law had a team-high 15 kills and had one block. Lens Esquil had five blocks as well as 13 kills while David Fusiecki had 10 kills and 11 digs.

Big Blue scored on a bases-loaded walk, a two-run error and Dylan Maskell came through with an RBI single to give Attleboro a 4-2 lead. Matt Callahan (two hits) delivered an RBI triple in the sixth inning for Attleboro. Sophomore Eoin Kelleher earned the win with a complete game effort, allowing five hits while retiring five batters on strikes.

Softball
Taunton, 11 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalTaunton senior Courtney Fisher tossed a perfect game, retiring all 21 batters that she faced, in the Tigers’ win. Fisher struck out eight and made a terrific play, snagging a line drive up the middle with one out in the seventh, to preserve the perfect game. THS head coach Dave Lewry said Hannah Aldrich also made a great play in the first, playing a bad hop grounder off her chest and gunning the runner out at first. Jaime Brown was 2-for-2 with a walk and two RBI, MacKenzie Handrahan went 2-for-3 with an RBI, freshman Jaylin Couto went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a home run and eighth grader McKenzie McAloon had two hits, a stolen base and an RBI for the Tigers.

Franklin’s Jake Noviello also threw a complete game, allowing just two earned runs while striking out six. Ryan Hodgkins went 2-for-2 with a run and two stolen bases while Jason Ulrickson also notched two hits.

King Philip, 0 @ Mansfield, 9 – FinalMansfield senior Nolan Dousa needed just 70 pitches to finish a complete game shutout and the Hornets’ offense got off to a strong start early on to beat King Philip. Dousa tossed 54 of his 70 pitches for strikes, allowing just four hits and striking out for to earn the win. Mansfield scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning, added single runs in the third and fifth and then tacked on two more in the sixth. Zack Peterson (run, RBI) and Kyle Moran (two runs) each had a pair of hits for Mansfield. Aidan Cahill (1-for-3) and Cullen Anastasia (1-for-2, run) each knocked in a pair of runs for the Hornets. King Philip’s Ben Furfari had a pair of hits for the Warriors.

North Attleboro, 7 @ Milford, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro broke a 3-3 tie with a run in the fifth inning and then tacked on three more insurance runs in the seventh inning to pick up a key division win. Nick Sinacola picked up the win for Big Red, tossing a complete game with three strikeouts. At the plate, Sinacola went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored. John Brennan had a two-run single in the fourth inning that tied the game 3-3. Nick Crawley had a two-run hit in the seventh to tack on North’s final two runs. Milford’s Anthony Arcudi was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI and Aidan Wilde was 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Taunton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames senior Sam Burr tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just four hits and didn’t issue a walk to help hand Taunton its first loss of the season. Burr struck out three in the win. Kyle Gagliardi was 2-for-3 and turned a double play in the third inning to help OA escape potential danger. Evan DeMartinis was also 2-for-3 while Nick Zwerle was 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Stoughton, 13 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalJustin Hutchinson was dominant through the first four innings to earn the win and classmate Matt Gallagher completed the shutout with three innings of work with just two hits allowed. Hutchinson allowed just one hit in his four innings of work while striking out seven. Offensively, Ruben Gonzalez had a pair of hits, two runs scored, three stolen bases and four RBI to pace the Black Knights. Ryan Sullivan, Pat Hagerty, and Michael Batte each had two hits for Stoughton.

Softball
Franklin, 1 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalAttleboro’s McKenzie Bergdoll impressed in the circle and Jordyn Lako played a big role in the offense as the Bombardiers beat Franklin. Bergdoll allowed just two hits in a complete game effort to earn the win. Lako went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI. Attleboro freshman Mishayla Cullhane took over at catcher in the first inning after an injury and head coach Mark Hoemr said “she did a great job for her first game behind the plate.” Homer added Attleboro’s solid play in the infield made a big difference for the Bombardiers.

Mansfield, 3 @ King Philip, 9 – FinalKing Philip scored five runs in the first to take control in the Kelley-Rex matchup. Jess Bonner had a standout day at the plate for the Warriors, hitting a pair of home runs and totaling five RBI. Jenn Hutnyan allowed just two hits in a strong game in the circle for KP. Meghan Gorman, Hailey McCasland and Elise Pereira each added a pair of hits in the Warriors’ win. Mady Bendanillo drove in all three Mansfield runs with a homer in the third inning, plating Sarah Bradley and Kara Bendanillo, and cut the lead to two. KP added four runs on five hits in the sixth to pull away.

Milford, 14 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalMilford’s offense was locked in, belting out 17 hits to pick up a key division win over North Attleboro. Jess Tomaso accounted for four of those hits, including a double, and finished with two RBI and two runs scored. Kate Irwin (RBI, two runs, stolen base) and Emily Piergustavo (double, triple, three RBI, three runs) each had three hits for the Hawks. Emily Hartman connected on a solo home run and Shannon Cormier launched a three-run home run to complete Milford’s big day on offense. Ali Atherton scattered five hits in six innings of work, striking out six, allowing one walk and giving up just one earned run.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Taunton, 13 – FinalTaunton rebounded from a two-game losing streak to pick up the league win. Courtney Fisher threw four innings to get her sixth win and eighth grader Kelsey White threw three scoreless innings in relief, striking out six while allowing just one hit. Eighth grader Hannah Aldrich had three hits for Taunton, while Kya Enos had a homer, a double, and drove in three runs. Jaime Brown (RBI), MacKenzie Handrahan, Katie Van Zandt (RBI), McKenzie McAloon (RBI), and Jaylin Couto (two RBI) all had two hits apiece for Taunton. For Oliver Ames, Sarah Tetrault was 1-for-3 with a run scored, Kayla Georgeu was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored. Colleen Larson was 1-for-2, putting Georgeu in scoring position for Victoria Ziner (1-3, RBI) to bunt Georgeu in for a run in the second.

Nitin Chaudhury added two goals and one assists and Johnny O’Glishen and Jake Davis each found the back of the net twice. FHS coach Lou Verrochi praised Pat Morrison, Wyatt Arsenault and Spencer Briggs for their defensive work in front of goalie Connor O’Rourke (one goal allowed).

Mansfield, 9 vs. Bridgewater-Raynham, 8 – FinalBridgewater-Raynham staked a 5-4 lead at halftime but Mansfield ramped up its effort on both ends of the field to get the win. Senior Cullen Murphy (goal and assist) provided the game-winning goal off an assist from Aidan Sacco) Sean Powers had another strong game in goal, recording 16 saves while Grant Milas and Tommy Donnelly had strong games in front of him. Offensively, Hunter Ferreira netted a pair of goals and recorded two assists, Danny DeGirolamo and Sam O’Connell each scored twice, Joe Cox scored once and had two assists and Murphy and Sacco each scored once and had once assist for the Hornets.

North Attleboro, 14 vs. Scituate, 6 – FinalNorth Attleboro picked up its biggest win of the season, knocking off Scituate at home. Big Red’s starters raced out to a 12-3 lead before the Sailors made a late push. Zach McGowan (one assist) and Jack Dakin (two assists) each scored four goals to pace the Rocketeers’ offense. Tommy Lindstrom set up three goals while LSM Max Fontes and Jason McNeany (14 face off wins) both scored twice. Nick Moore added one goal and one assist, Colin Young had one helper and Andy DeMattio scored once. Senior Dan MacDonald turned away 16 saves while also recording two assists for North Attleboro.

Senior Hannah Sweeney won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, senior Anja Deric won 6-3, 6-0 at second singles and junior Stephanie Schiavo won 3-6, 7-6, 10-6 at third singles. The team of seniors Julia Hogan and Madison Derby won 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 at first singles and senior Sarah Labo and junior Jillian McLaughlin won 6-1, 6-3 at second doubles.

Canton, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – FinalThe Warriors of Foxboro won all three singles matches in straight sets to defend home court. Sophia Prinos won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles, Julia Muise won 6-1, 6-0 at second singles and Kayla Prag picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of Olivia Dantona and Kendall Milender notched a 6-1, 3-6,6-3 at first doubles. Canton’s Stelina Michaelidis and Sarah Hernandez won 6-2, 7-5 at second doubles.

King Philip, 4 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalNeither of King Philip’s doubles teams dropped a single game and the Warriors also won two single matches in straight sets to pick up a win on the road. Freshman Erin Regnier won 6-2, 6-2 at second singles and junior Meghan Sepich won 6-2, 6-3 at third singles. The team of seniors Megan Davenport and Carly Adams won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles and the senior Corinne Palumbo and junior Lucy Barnard won by the same score at second doubles. Mansfield’s Paulina Martin won the first set 6-1 and then battled back from an 0-3 hole to win the second set 6-4 at first singles.

Taunton, 3 @ Milford, 0 – FinalTaunton earned its second sweep of Milford this season, notching a 25-21, 25-22, 25-23 win. Taunton head coach Toby Chaperon said sophomore Gabe Kingman had a strong game in the back row for the Tigers while Malik Charles had seven kills and three blocks. Milford senior Jack Winship notched 10 kills, nine digs and four aces while classmate Danny Zwonik had 27 assists and an ace. Sophomore Joao Boaventura added eight kills, six digs and two blocks and sophomore Zach Brown had four kills, three blocks and an ace.

Franklin, 11 vs. Falmouth, 6 – FinalFranklin coach Lou Verrochi said junior Eric Civetti was unstoppable and sophomore Jacob Alexander dominated in the face off X to pace the Panthers past a senior-laden Falmouth side. Civetti scored five goals and had two assists while Alexander won nearly 80% of the draws. Junior Connor O’Rourke made 10 saves in goal and Verrochi said Wyatt Arsenault, Patrick Morrison and Spencer Briggs played very well defensively. Verrochi added LSM Jack Platner, short stick defensive midfielder Will Harvey and Aaron Mallo all played well. Chase Tanner scored twice and added an assist, Sam Arsenault had a goal and an assist, Packie Watson notched two heklpers and Kyle McEniry, Nitin Chaudury and freshman Jake Davis each scored once.

Girls Lacrosse
Franklin, 12 vs. Needham, 7 – FinalFranklin led by just a goal (6-5) at halftime but had a very strong second half to open the season with a win over the Rockets. Freshman Erin Walsh impressed in her debut, netting a team-high four goals to pace the Panthers. Classmate Gianna Cameron also had a solid debut in goal, registering 10 saves in net. Halle Atkinson added three goals and Kendall Reardon notched two goals and an assist. Head coach Kristin Igoe Guarino said senior Grace McDermott played well defensively with five caused turnovers.

Taunton, 4 @ Coyle & Cassidy, 1 – Final The Tigers opened the 2017 campaign with a victory over rival Coyle, taking wins at first and second singles and both doubles. Sophomore Brett Beaulieu won 7-6, 6-2 at first singles and junior Mike Briggs took a 7-6, 6-0 decision at second singles. The team of sophomores Charlie Fisk and Dylan Kullas won 6-4, 6-0 at first doubles and sophomore Trevor Hart and junior Kyle Dennehy teamed up for a 6-4, 6-3 win at second doubles.

Taunton, 5 vs. Coyle & Cassidy, 0 – FinalThe Tigers started the season with a clean sweep of rival Coyle at home on Thursday afternoon. Olivia Sweeney (first singles) and Jordan Pagliuca (second singles) both won 6-0, 6-0, while Jillian Pagliuca won 6-0, 6-1 at third singles. The teams of Emily Moor and Caroline Hebert (first doubles) and Jordan Martin and Vanessa Rosa (second doubles) each won 6-1, 6-0.

Taunton, 3 vs. Braintree, 0 – FinalTaunton picked up the sweep (25-22, 25-19, 25-21) over the Wamps to begin the season. Junior Lance Law paced the offense with nine kills, four aces and two blocks while adding 11 digs. Nate Grant finished with 20 assists and three kills and Lens Esquil had six kills, an ace and a block for the Tigers.

Attleboro, 6 vs. Bishop Feehan, 5 – Final (8 inn.) – Attleboro rallied from a five run deficit, scoring four runs in the fifth inning and tying the game with a run in the sixth inning. Tyler Stowe brought in the game-winning run, his third RBI of the day, drawing a walk in the bottom of the eighth with the bases loaded. Will Carter, Brent Cook, John Burns and Cam Hochwarter each had two hits apiece for Big Blue. James Weir came on in relief for Attleboro, tossing 3.1 scoreless innings without giving up a hit.

King Philip, 4 @ North Quincy, 1 – Final

Mansfield, 6 @ Bridgewater-Raynham, 4 – Final – The Hornets concluded the season by winning their fourth game in the last five, upsetting a tournament bound Trojans squad. Sophomore Tyler Dalton earned the win in six innings of work, striking out one. Jack Neureuter came on to get the save, pitching the seventh inning. Zach Peterson with 2-4 with a pair of RBI singles, Jake Tryder was 2-4 with an RBI single, Colin Gibbons had a pair of hits and an RBI and Max Boen went 1-3 with a squeeze bunt RBI.

Taunton, 10 @ New Bedford, 2 – Final – Sophomore Jacob Crawford broke open a scoreless game with a two-out, two-run double in the top of the fourth. Crawford, along with Kevin Griffin, Luke Figueira, Christian Simoes and Joe Manchester each had two hits. Max Bowden pitched four shutout innings for the Tigers, scattering three hits while striking out three.

Taunton, 3 vs. Dighton-Rehoboth, 2 – Final – Taunton experienced a taste of the tournament with a close win over a talented Dighton-Rehoboth team. Aimee Kistner knocked in Jaime Brown in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Tigers the walk off win. Brown’s lead off walk preceded a single from Jordan Wade. Kistner singled up the middle to bring Brown home for the winning run. Wade went 2-3, scoring the Tigers’ first two runs while Meghan Navarro was 2-3, recording Taunton’s first two RBI. Kya Enos went 2-3 while Brown reached base three times via a walk. Kistner earned her 14th win of the of the season, tossing a complete game, scattering five hits and striking out five.

Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 4 @ Canton, 14 – Final – Canton freshman Mike Shaw paced the Bulldogs’ offense with four goals and two assists for a team-best six points. Senior Nick Gustafson netted his first career goal while CJ Martin, a converted midfielder, made two saves in the cage in the fourth quarter.

Foxboro, 4 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – Foxboro did all of its scoring in the first half, building a 4-0 lead just before the midway point of the second quarter and held off King Philip the rest of the way. Anthony Truini set of both of KP’s goals in the second quarter while Sam Agricola had a goal and an assist and Harry Fallon found the back of the net twice. Conor Khung had a strong game defensively, Steven Eaton recorded seven ground balls and Paul Macrina made 12 saves in net for KP.

Franklin, 7 vs. Dover-Sherborn, 8 – Final

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Mansfield, 15 – Final

Taunton, 4 @ Bristol Plymouth, 8 – Final – Andrew Wellington netted a hat trick for Taunton while Tommy Joyce scored once. Kyle Hebert added a pair of assists for the Tigers.

Girls Lacrosse
Canton, 15 @ Attleboro, 9 – Final – Mary Nee and Mary Kent scored scored four goals apiece, leading the Bulldogs to a win. With the victory, Canton punched their ticket to the postseason.

Milford, 3 @ Franklin, 21 – Final – Sophomore Kate Morse found the back of the cage twice and had four draw controls for the Panthers. Abby Egan added two goals and two assists and Shannon D’Arcangelo registered a hat trick in the win.

Sharon, 7 @ North Attleboro, 17 – Final – Erin Holley totaled nine points and Hannah Caster recorded five assists for North Attleboro. Brooke Ebert recorded 15 saves in the cage for the Rocketeers.

Taunton, 12 @ Bristol Plymouth, 2 – Final – Taunton finished its inaugural season with a win on the road at BP. Abbey Kingman and Annie Tate each scored a hat trick to pace Taunton’s offense while Layne Kingman scored once and had four assists. Tatum Speicher, Lindsay Sneyd, Bre Conlon, Hannah Moniz and Alexis Bissonnette each found the back of the net once.

Mitchell Dyer won 6-2, 6-3 at first singles and Barsomo Nuay won 6-0, 6-1 at third singles. The team of Jake Fontes and Daniel Zhang won 7-6, 6-2 at second singles. Zack Pfeffer won 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (12-10) at second singles and the team of Jeff Yao and Nick Lockavitch won 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 1-0 (10-5) at first doubles for North Attleboro.
