Canton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 3 – Final – North Attleboro’s offense exploded for three goals, snapping Canton’s seven game unbeaten streak. Gabe Pinhancos opened the scoring in the 12th minute, finishing off a cross from Zach Matracia to put North up 1-0. Leo Charlebois doubled the lead, converting from the penalty spot after Andrew Fontaine drew the foul inside the area. Pinhancos got his second of the game in the 53rd minute, taking a through ball from Conor Danahey to put the Rocketeers up 3-0. Shawn Watters made six saves in net and North head coach Geoff Burgess said John Brennan was huge defensively for Big Red.

Foxboro, 1 @ Sharon, 2 – FinalSharon scored once in each half to pick up a key division win against Foxboro. Jake Teven opened the scoring in the first half, scoring an unassisted goal from just outside the area to put the Eagles up 1-0. Andrew Reyes-Jones doubled Sharon’s lead, converting a long throw from Tyler Hippler to make it 2-0. An own goal with three minutes to play put Foxboro on the board.

Taunton, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalCullin Anastasia scored inside the opening 10 minutes off an assist from Sam Hyland to set the tone for the Hornets. John Cooney doubled the lead in the 52nd minute, scoring off an assist from Max Gurnon and James Chotkowski iced the game in the 72nd minute off an assist from Anastasia. Nick Ferraz notched his first career shutout with four saves. Head coach Steve Sheridan had high praise for Sam Nugent, Ethan Brill-Cass, Harry Braidt, Jalaj Singh, Jake Tuleja and Gurnon for their defensive play.

Franklin, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final Kevin Hall scored the lone goal of the game in the second half on an assist from Noah Scafati to help the Panthers earn the win. Freddie Beckmann recorded the shutout in net for Franklin.

Stoughton, 1 @ Milford, 0 – FinalStoughton’s Marco Antunes scored his first goal of the season early in the second half as the Black Knights beat Milford. Noah Schulze served in a free kick that Antunes was able to eventually latch on to. Matt Gallagher recorded his second straight shutout of the year. “Milford was excellent and made us play hard for the win tonight,” Stoughton head coach Aaron Salter said. “Marco Antunes was excellent and so was my defense.” Milford head coach Brian Edwards said Andre Oliveira and Marcello Panno put in great performances in midfield for the Scarlet Hawks.

Girls Soccer
King Philip, 3 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalKing Philip freshman Avery Snead scored a pair of goals in the first 20 minutes of the game to lead the Warriors, who qualified for the postseason with the win. Snead converted a pass from classmate Chloe Layne for the game-winner in the eighth minute and doubled the lead in the 19th minute, netting a through ball from Julia Massarone from 10 yards out. Riley Magane iced the game on a shot from just inside the area off an assist from Skylah Caruso.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Canton, 1 – FinalRiley Duserick gave Canton a lead in the first half but North Attleboro’s Aine Mendonca leveled the scoring before the break, scoring on a free kick. North Attleboro head coach Bill Wallace said Haley Guertin, Rachel LaBonte and Emily Chiasson played well for the Rocketeers.

Sharon, 2 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalAlex Rabb scored a pair of goals, putting Sharon ahead 1-0 just over 10 minutes into the game and then netting the game-winner on a free kick from 30 yards out just before halftime. Ally Filipkowski notched the assist on Rabb’s opener. Foxboro’s Kristen Bortolotti scored on a penalty kick in the first half for the Warriors.

Mansfield, 2 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalHannah Reiter netted a pair of second half goals to lead Mansfield to the win on the road.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 0 – FinalRegan Benton had the shutout for Oliver Ames in Net. OA head coach Britt Sellmayer said Zoe Chazan, Dana Lowney and Kiana Lozzi had strong games for the Tigers.

Milford, 6 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final Gabbie Riley and Maggie Boyle each scored a pair of goals while Julianna France and Sydney Morrison each netted one goal to lead the Scarlet Hawks. Olivia Marshall notched the shutout in net for Milford.

Volleyball
Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final King Philip defended its home court with a 25-16, 25-13, 25-19 sweep of the visiting Bombardiers. Kat Kmetz led KP with 16 service points while Carly Adams had 14 service points and Sydney Phillips finished with 12 service points and had a strong game at the net. Emma Lopez had six kills and Liv Balduf finished with four kills and 10 service points for the Warriors.

Canton, 3 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final Canton dropped the second set but rebounded to get the next two for a 25-17, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20 win. “It was a gritty, hard fought battle,” Canton head coach Pat Cawley said. Nicole Poole dished out 21 assists and added six kills and six aces to lead the Bulldogs. Emma Murphy had seven kills six blocks and two aces, Cassie Loftus had her best all around match of the season according to Cawley with five kills and some impressive defensive play. Julia Panico controlled Canton’s defense with 15 digs.

Foxboro, 2 @ Sharon, 3 – FinalSharon won the second and third sets but had to battle all the way to the fifth set to earn the win over Foxboro. Sharon junior Jess Allan led Eagles’ offense with 10 kills along with seven aces. Junior Naomi Topal added nine kills and six aces, senior Faythe Gomolka tallied 17 assists and Cori Jermyn had five aces, six digs and four blocks.

Taunton, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalMansfield picked up the sweep, 25-19, 25-19, 25-19, at home against Tainton. Chloe Peters had 14 service points and 20 assists, Jess Haradon had 11 digs and eight service points, Meg Hill added 11 kills and Lexi Gardner chipped in with six service points .

Franklin, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – FinalFranklin picked up a big division win in five sets on the road at Oliver Ames. Erin Skidmore led the Panthers with 12 kills while adding 23 digs and a pair of aces. Maddie Kuzio also had two aces while leading Franklin with 31 digs. Lauren McGrath had 31 assists to go along with an ace and Maggie Doyle had six kills and five blocks.

Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalCaitlin Donahue scored a hat trick, netting two goals in the first half as KP held a 4-0 lead by the break. Liz Furfari and Alli Meehan each scored once for the Warriors.

Franklin, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final Franklin punched its ticket to the state tournament with an impressive win on the road. Sophomores Annie Walsh and Cassi Ronan each had scored two goals and grabbed an assist to lead the Panthers. Senior Kayla Marshall added a goal and senior Caroline Lounsbury had an assist. Franklin sophomore goalie Christina Lucini made four saves to get the win in net. Franklin head coach Lisa Cropper said Dana Lewandowski and Kate Morse had outstanding games through the midfield and on defense.

Stoughton, 5 @ Milford, 3 – FinalOlivia Schlehuber scored a pair of goals for Stoughton, while Kayla Oliviera, Mia Russell and Julia Russell scored once to pace the Black Knights.

Golf
Sharon, 167 @ Oliver Ames, 146 – FinalOliver Ames’ Brady Allbritton and Mark Bissonette shared medalist honors, both shooting 36 for the Tigers. Nolan Donze and Thomas Walsh each shot 37 for Oliver Ames. Sharon’s Andrew Glover and Max Avratin each shot 41.

Canton, 165 @ Attleboro, 178 – FinalCanton’s Joey Vaughan earned match medalist honors after shooting a low-round of 40 for the Bulldogs. Danny Powers shot a 41 and both Jackson Maffeo and Matt Minichiello carded a round of 42. Attleboro’s Corey McKenna shot a team-low 41 on the day.

Milford, 169 @ King Philip, 180 – FinalRyan Tomaso earned match medalist honors, shooting a round-low 36 for the Scarlet Hawks. Anthony Arcudi shot a 40 for Milford while Danny McLoughlin carded a team-low round of 41 for KP.

Canton, 0 @ Notre Dame Academy, 3 – FinalThe Canton Bulldogs gave the defending State Champions a run for their money but ultimately fell 21-25, 18-25, 21-25. “They were definitely the hardest hitters we’ve seen this year,” head coach Pat Cawley said of the undefeated Cougars. Erika Lum played good defense leading Canton with 16 digs (along with three kills) and Julia Panico added 11 digs. Cawley had high praise for setter Nicole Poole – “she was awesome, making something out everything no matter where the pass.” – finishing with 18 assists and two kills. Casey Shea had a big night on offense with seven kills and no errors and added four blocks while Emma Murphy had three blocks and three kills.

Franklin, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalFranklin middles Meaghan Maguire and Maggie Doyle “were dominant at the net” according to Panther head coach Kate Horsmann. Maguire registered a pair of kills and five blocks while Doyle had two aces and three blocks. Erin Skidmore had four aces, 16 service points, eight kills and four digs for the Panthers while Ellie Wisniewski chipped in with five kills and Maddie Kuzio had 18 digs and an ace.

Franklin, 2 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalFranklin senior Dana Lewandowski netted what turned out to be the game winner just five minutes into the first half as the Panthers picked up their seventh win of the season. Sophomore Annie Walsh scored with just under three minutes remaining to ice the game for Franklin. Franklin head coach Lisa Cropper said Kate Morse “did an outstanding job in the midfield” for the Panthers.

The win marks Oliver Ames’ fourth straight outright league title and fifth straight overall. Brady Allbritton and Nick Lombardi both shot 37 to lead the Tigers. Matt D’Errico carded a 40 for the Panthers and Bryan Woelfel finished with a 41.

Mansfield, 173 @ Sharon, 171 – FinalSam Fritz had the low score for Sharon with a 41, helping the Eagles edge Mansfield at Spring Valley Country Club. Jason Hindman was the match medalist, shooting a one over 37 for the Hornets.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalJames Chotkowski netted the game winning goal with just five minutes to play to lift the Hornets. Max Gurnon’s throw in was headed on by Kevin Bouck to Chotkowski, who finished for the lone tally of the game.

Sharon, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalCam Mullins scored a brace, both off corners, and Connor Mullins recorded three assists for the Warriors. Colby Koch, Tyler Mann (from Larsen Keys) and Cam McGovern also scored for KP.

Stoughton, 3 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin built a two goal lead in the first half but the Black Knights stormed back with three unanswered goals to grab the win. Farley Asmath and Nitin Chaudury netted goals off assists from Liam Kapples to put the hosts up 2-0. Stoughton answered as Noah Schulze scored on a free kick from 30 yards out and then tied the game before the break on Tyler Melo’s strike from outside the area. The Black Knights netted the game-winner with Melo finishing off a cross from Jordan Asnes. Stoughton head coach Aaron Salter said, “It was an excellent team performance today from every player.” Salter had specific praise for his back line as well as Melo and junior Brian Peoples.

Attleboro, 0 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Milford senior Sydney Morrison netted the lone goal of the game off an assist from Kristen Franzini to help the Scarlet Hawks edge Attleboro. Milford head coach Jay Mastaj said Maggie Boyle and Ashleigh Starks both played well for the Scarlet Hawks.

Mansfield, 2 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalHannah Reiter scored both goals for the Hornets, including the winner on a header off an Emily Vigeant corner with eight minutes remaining. Stephanie Kemp assisted the first Mansfield goal. Emily Schromm scored North Attleboro’s goal to tie the game at 1-1 in the second half off an assist from Haley Guertin. North interim head coach Bill Wallace said Aine Mendonca played well for the Rocketeers.

King Philip, 2 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalAvery Snead (from Maddie Smith) and Abby Baker scored the goals for the Warriors. Ally Filipkowski scored the goal for the Eagles off an assist by Alex Rabb.

Hannah Jerrier had a 10 kills with no errors, hitting an impressive .435. Casey Shea added seven kills with just one error, hitting .545. Julia Panico was “outstanding” in the back row according to Cawley, finishing with 20 digs. Erika Lum, Maria Mackie and Emily Lynch combined for 33 digs for the Bulldogs.

Senior Jack Citarell finished with a 40 for the Warriors but picked up birdies on both the fifth and sixth hole to help KP. Sebastian Ladoulis and Matt Stanton both shot 39 for KP. Jason Hindman led Mansfield with a 39.

Canton middles Casey Shea and Emma Murphy both had strong nights to lead the Bulldogs, putting down eights kills with just one error apiece, and combined for five blocks. Head coach Pat Cawley said Nicole Poole did a great job distributing the ball, finishing with 26 assists, 11 digs and three kills. Canton’s defense of Julia Panico, Maria Mackie, Erika Lum and Emily Lynch was strong throughout the night. Franklin’s Erin Skidmore had 13 kills, three aces and 10 digs, Maddie Kuzio finished with 34 digs, Lauren McGrath had 31 assists and Meaghan Maguire had six kills and a block for the Panthers.

Taunton, 3 @ Foxboro, 2 – FinalIn a seesaw affair, Taunton won the first, third and fifth set to earn the win, 26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-9. Taunton head coach Toby Chaperon said Emily Moor had a fantastic all-around game with 16 kills, 15 digs and six aces. Abby Waldron nine digs, eight kills and four aces and Kayli Fagan set up the offense with 31 assists.

Sadie Homer led OA with 16 digs, “dominating in the back row,” according to Correira. Bridget McCarthy had 31 assists and two aces, Kayla Raymond added11 kills, three blocks, two aces and Maya Fetcho had six kills and a block.

Hannah Jerrier led Canton with eight kills, Casey Shea shined at the night with five kills and five blocks and Emma Murphy added three kills and five blocks. Julia Panico was an anchor for Canton’s defense while Nicole Poole was the glue for the Bulldogs with 21 assists and 15 digs.

Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 4 – Final – After a scoreless first half, King Philip junior Tyler Mann netted a pair of second half goals and Larsen Keys and Nils van den Boogaard each scored once for the Warriors. Mann scored on an assist from Thomas Lugten to open the scoring and then converted a chance from Colby Koch. Larsen Keys earned a penalty kick and took it himself to net his second goal of the season. Senior Nils van den Boogaard netted his first career goal on an assist from Mark Kahaly to cap the scoring.

Alyssa Gavin added 14 digs, a pair of assists, and six aces from the back row, middle hitter Kayla Raymond added 13 kills, Emma Petrillo finished with nine kills, three digs and two aces and Maya Fetcho chipped in with eight kills and two blocks.

Alex Sullivan had three assists on Walsh’s goales while Brayden Downing had one. Downing also had a goal on an assist from Caroline Jackson, her first varsity point. Sophomore Cassi Ronan added a goal and an assist with Maddie Hinckley and Maeve Ledwith rounding out the scoring with a goal and an assist respectively. Senior goalie Sam Hertzberg picked up the shutout making three saves.

Canton, 0 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final Lily Daly scored the lone goal of the game, putting the Warriors ahead with a second half strike.

King Philip, 3 @ Mansfield, 2 – Final – Caitlin Donahue put King Philip ahead with a first half goal off an assist from Alli Meehan. The Hornets responded with a tying goal in the second half but Donahue scored twice more, one off an assist from Christina Hathaway and another from Meehan again. Mansfield scored in the final seconds for its second goal of the game.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Milford, 2 – Final After a scoreless first half, goals from Kaleigh Cole and Julia Feid put North Attleboro up 2-0 but the Scarlet Hawks rallied for a tie. Elena Dello Russo scored with just under eight minutes to play to cut into the deficit and Tina Capone scored with under a minute to play to tie the game. Emily Smith made 12 saves in the cage for Milford.

Asmath’s first strike in the 56th minute came off an assist from Hatim Brahimi. Asmath then earned a penalty in the final minutes and converted in the 78th minute for his second goal. Fred Beckmann earned the shutout in net.

Mansfield, 3 @ Sharon, 2 – Final – Mansfield scored a goal two minutes into the game and one in the final minute of the game to clip the Eagles. James Chotkowski scored early off a service from Max Gurnon but Sharon tied it before half. Mansfield opened the second half when James Cooney headed in a cross from Chotkowski three minutes into the second half but Sharon tied the game with just over three minutes to go. But Mansfield had an answer as Gurnon scored the game winner a minute later on cross from Jackson Murphy. Mansfield goalie Jed Tolbert made 10 saves in net for the Hornets.

Stoughton, 1 vs. Norwood, 0 – Final The Black Knights used a late second half goal to edge Norwood and earn their first win of the season. Matheus Santos took a feed from Jordan Asnes and beat Norwood’s goalie from the top of the area for his first career goal. Head coach Aaron Salter said goalie Matt Gallagher played excellent and deserved the clean sheet.

Katherine Munley also had a big defensive stop late in the game for North Attleboro. Katie Davenport and Katie Vamosi anchored Oliver Ames’ defensive effort while Dimitra Efremidis and Kendall Clifford played well in the midfield for OA according to coach Abby Tepper, who also noted the strong game by Morehouse.

Mansfield, 2 @ Canton, 3 – Final – In a battle between defending division champions, the match went the full distance. Canton emerged with a 25-23, 20-25, 12-25, 25-22, 15-9 win over the Hornets. Hannah Jerrier led the Bulldogs’ attack with 12 kills while Erika Lum and Cassie Loftus combined for 13 kills from the weak side. Nicole Poole put Canton’s offense in motion with 32 assists while Emma Murphy had an outstanding night defensively at the net with nine blocks. Head coach Pat Cawley also noted the strong defensive games from Maria Mackie and Emily Lynch. For Mansfield, Emily Kleber had seven kills, Julia Harrison has 11 kills and 12 digs and Meg Hill had 14 kills and six blocks.
