The team of Sophia Fein and Sachi Basin prevailed 7-5, 7-5 at first doubles while Lauren Glass and Makaila Cheung secured a 6-3, 6-1 decision at second doubles.

Attleboro, 5 @ Sharon, 4 – FinalAttleboro scored three runs in the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie, and then stranded the tying run at second in the bottom half to earn a win on the road at Sharon. Junior Max Amaral earned the win, pitching six-plus innings while senior Anthony Deyesso got the save, getting a strikeout to strand the run at second. Offensively, the Bombardiers had nine hits, paced by junior Tim Callahan’s (RBI) three hits. Senior Mason Houle (two RBI) added two this while junior Lorenzo Wilson (RBI), junior Ryan Morry, and junior Alvaro Espinal (walk, HBP) each had one hit.

Taunton, 9 @ Canton, 3 – FinalTaunton senior Josh Lajoie allowed just one earned run on two hits, striking out seven in 5.2 innings of work to help the Tigers earn a win on the road. The Tigers scored three runs in each the sixth and seventh innings to pull away from the Bulldogs. Junior Jared Roderick paced the offense, knocking in three runs on a pair of hits and a run scored while sophomore Danny MacDougall had two hits and two RBI.

Franklin, 18 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final (6 inn.)Franklin senior Ben Guzman, junior Cody Trotin, and senior Gerard Collins combined to throw a no-hitter as the Panthers improved to 11-0 and qualified for the state tournament. Guzman allowed one unearned run on three walks and five strikeouts in five innings of work, Trotin struck out two and walked three with one earned run allowed and Collins fanned two in a scoreless seventh inning. Senior Jake Macchi paced the offense, knocking in six runs on three hits and scoring once. Seniors Scott Elliott and Alex Haba each had three hits, an RBI, and a run scored for Franklin.

King Philip, 4 @ North Attleboro, 2 – FinalKing Philip erased a 2-0 deficit, plating three runs in the fifth and adding an insurance run in the top of the seventh to record a win on the road at North Attleboro. Senior Terry Murray earned the win, allowing one earned run in 5.1 innings of work, striking out four. Senior David Morganelli got the save, striking out two in 1.2 scoreless innings of relief. Offensively, senior Tim Crowley had a pair of hits and knocked in a pair of runs, junior Robbie Jarest had two hits, an RBI, and a run scored, and junior Chris Sawyer added two hits and a run.

Mansfield, 8 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalMansfield exploded for five runs in the top of the first inning, building a lead it never relinquished in a win on the road at Stoughton. The Hornets tacked on three more runs in the top of the seventh. Offensively, Dan Saraceno (run) and Kyle Moran (two runs, RBI, walk) each had three hits for the Hornets. Mike Hargadon knocked in four runs and scored once on two hits. Junior John Carney was terrific on the mound, limiting a strong Stoughton team to just two hits while striking out 10 in six innings of work.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Milford, 7 – FinalJunior Colby Pires allowed just one run on three hits in five innings of work to lead the Scarlet Hawks to a win over visiting Oliver Ames. Pires struck out three to earn the win. Offensively, senior Tyler Almeida went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored and senior Justin Applebee had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Oliver Ames senior Jake Erlich was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.



Softball
Sharon, 0 @ Attleboro, 11 – FinalAttleboro belted out 17 hits as a team, including three home runs, to beat visiting Sharon. Senior Jordyn Lako had memorable performance, sending the first pitch she saw over the center field fence for a leadoff homer in the bottom of the first. Lako added another home run and a double, finishing with three hits. Junior Makenzie Killough (three hits) blasted a three-run homer in the fourth inning while Senior McKenzie Bergdoll also added three hits for the Bombardiers. Sophomore Lora Woyton, freshman Meghan Gordon, and sophomore Brenna Morse each had two hits. Junior Emily Gittle allowed five hits while striking out 10 to earn the win.

Canton, 0 @ Taunton, 11 – FinalSophomore Kelsey White and freshman Olyvia Mendonca combined to toss a two-hit shutout as the Tigers recorded a win over visiting Canton. White allowed one hit without issuing any walks, striking out nine in four innings while Mendonca fanned two, allowed one hit and no walks in three scoreless innings. Offensively, sophomore Hanna Aldrich three hits, including two doubles, two runs and two RBI while junior Rylie Murphy drove in three runs on two hits. Senior Alexa White added two hits, including a double, and two runs scored and sophomore McKenzie McAloon drove in two runs with a double.

Foxboro, 1 @ Franklin, 13 – FinalFranklin exploded for six runs in the fifth inning and tacked on four more in the sixth to pull away from the visiting Warriors of Foxboro. Senior Ally Shea had three hits and knocked in two runs while sophomore Gabby Colace drove in three runs on three hits. Junior Sarah Jackson and senior Tara Hartnett each had an RBI for Franklin.

North Attleboro, 7 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalAnnabelle Hebard had three hits, including a two-run homer, and drove in four runs to power the Rocketeers to their first win over KP since 2003. Alex Moulson chipped with two hits, including a solo homer, and Abby Gallagher had two hits and three runs scored. Bella Erti threw a complete game, striking out six and allowing just three hits and a single earned run.

Stoughton, 6 @ Mansfield, 5 – FinalThe Black Knights scored six runs in the sixth inning to come from behind and pull out a road win. Mansfield jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, with the runs brought in by a Caty DeMassi RBI fielder’s choice and a single by Ella Verheggen. The Hornets added a fourth run in the fourth on a one-out double by Sarah Cahill and an RBI-single from Megan Letendre. Stoughton jumped ahead with six runs on eight hits in the sixth inning. Jordan Lyons led off with her first of two singles in the inning, Nicole Baker singled and Lexi Baptista (3-for-4) drove in both with a two-run triple. Brianna Ferrandiz singled to drive in Baptista, Nikki Coppola followed with a single and Sydney Menz drove Ferrandez in with a two-out single. Karly Estremera (two hits) launched a double to score Coppola and Menz. Mansfield cut the down to one thanks to a run-scoring triple by Kara Bendanillo and a fielder’s choice off the bat of Letendre. The Hornets left 11 runners on base in the loss. Baker struck out nine to earn her eighth win of the season for Stoughton. “It was a great team effort today, to stay in the game down for five innings and come back to win,” said Stoughton coach Deb Parker. “I’m proud of this team, they work hard and never give up!”

Milford, 6 @ Oliver Ames, 8 – FinalOliver Ames played a clean game defensively to earn a win over Milford. The Tigers got contributions throughout the lineup with sophomore Grace Simone going 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI, Katie Abreu went 2-for-4 with two runs, and Katie Mills had two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Colleen Larson pitched 5.1 innings for the Tigers, allowing four runs with three strikeouts. Freshman Bella Berg struck out one and allowed two runs in 1.2 innings of relief. Lucy Creedon went 3-for-4 for Milford with a double, two runs and two RBI while Amanda Wenckus added two this, an RBI, and a run scored.

Boys Lacrosse
Oliver Ames, 9 @ Canton, 6 – FinalOliver Ames coach Ben Devlin raved about the defensive work of seniors Matt Saba, Tyler Campbell, Shane Murphy and Cullen Gallagher and said junior Nick Gillis played great in net to help the Tigers score a win on the road at Canton. Shane Kilkelly, Remi Creighton, and Sandro Masciarelli each scored twice to pace the OA offense.

Attleboro, 1 @ King Philip, 15 – FinalKing Philip seniors Andrew Sajdak and Colin DeVellis combined for 13 points as the Warriors ran away with a win against visiting Attleboro. Sajdak had four goals and three assists, DeVellis scored a hat trick and had three helpers, junior Matt Minkwitz added two goals and two assists, junior Matt Meehan scored twice with one assist, and Senior Robbie Tartaglia, Sam Mattson and Andrew Longobardi (first career goal) each scored once. Andrew McKinney made seven saves in net.

Foxboro, 8 @ Mansfield, 9 – Final (OT)Mansfield scored three goals in the final 1:12 of play to tie the game and then scored 16 seconds into overtime to stun Foxboro with an overtime win. Senior Aidan Sacco (three goals, assist) scored back-to-back goals to bring the Hornets within one and sophomore Nico Holmes (two goals, assist) scored with 10 seconds left to send the game into overtime. Holmes won the overtime face-off and found senior Connor Quirk (two goals) for the game-winner for the Hornets. Sophomores Jake Quirk and Matt Copponi each scored once for the Hornets, who trailed 5-2 at half and 7-5 entering the fourth. Senior Pete Conley had three goals and three assists while junior Shayne Kerrigan scored twice for the Warriors.

Stoughton, 5 @ Milford, 12 – FinalSophomore Evan Hazard made nine saves in net and senior Ryan Hazard paced the offense with four points as the Scarlet Hawks defeated visiting Stoughton. Hazard had three goals and an assist while senior Josh Ligor and senior Brendan White each scored two and had one helper.

Girls Lacrosse
King Philip, 18 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalJess Sullivan and Caroline Klim each scored four goals to power the Warriors to a big road win. Sullivan also added three assists to complete a seven-point day. Lily Brown scored three goals and had an assist and Olivia Tormey had a pair of goals and a pair of helpers. Mackenzie Mazur had two goals and an assist, while Julia Marsden, Jenna Hitchen, and Ali Wilson each found the back of the net once. Caroline Watson recorded five saves for KP.

Canton, 12 @ Oliver Ames, 17 – Final – Oliver Ames avenged a non-league loss to Canton from earlier in the season, earning a win in the league meeting against the Bulldogs. The Tigers had six players register points, led by senior Olivia Piazza’s six goals and one assist. Junior Ella Hogan added five goals, sophomore Emma Pereira scored three goals, and junior Olivia Carroll, junior Sam Cathie, and sophomore Emma Sharkansky each scored once in what OA head coach Nicole Lang called “a great overall team effort.” Senior Maddie Kullen made 13 saves in the win.

Mansfield, 13 @ Foxboro, 20 – FinalMansfield kept it close until the final 10 minutes when the Warriors went on a big run to close out the game and stay unbeaten in the league. Katy Garvin scored six times for the Hornets and Maggie Danehy added three goals. Kerry McCabe, Lauren Whitman, Annemarie McCoy, and Hayleigh Crawford all scored once for Mansfield.

Franklin, 20 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalFranklin junior Kelsey MacCallum scored her 100th career goal as the Panthers rolled on the road. Freshman Jill Fenerty dominated in the midfield for Franklin with five draws and two ground balls while sophomore Ali Socci netted her first career goal for Franklin.

Milford, 11 @ Norwood, 13 – FinalMilford cut a four-goal deficit down to one but couldn’t overtake the Mustangs on their home field. Emily Haley and Annie Flanagan each scored three goals, Riley Campbell and Sophia Bucal both scored twice, and Elena Bon Tempo found the back of the net once for the Hawks, who got back into the game behind some timely saves from Savannah Rosado and draw control from Annie Flanagan.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Sharon, 15 – FinalThe Eagles dominated the center circle, winning 17-of-21 draw controls, to sweep the season series with North Attleboro and jump into second place in the Davenport division. Rose Wald made nine saves to help secure the win. Emma Eberhardt scored four goals and assisted on two others, while Bridget McManus added four goals and one helper and Jenna Goldstein recorded a hat trick. Mia Lappen (one assist) and Maeve Barbera each scored twice for Sharon.

Boys Tennis
Sharon, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalSharon didn’t drop a game in any of the three singles matches and won both doubles matches in straight sets to defeat Attleboro. Senior Danujan Thirumavalavan (first singles), junior Alberto Olivei (second), and freshman Rueman Bhattacharyya (third) each won 6-0, 6-0. Sharon’s first doubles team of Max Brody and Max Chen earned a 6-1, 6-0 win while Alex Aspel and Jake Ross prevailed 6-3, 6-1 at second doubles.

Canton, 1 @ Taunton, 4 – FinalTaunton won two matches in each singles and doubles action to secure a win over Canton in a competitive contest. Brett Beaulieu won 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 at first singles and Dylan Kullas took a 6-1, 7-5 win at third singles. The team of Trevor Hart and Alex Pugh prevailed 6-1, 6-3 at first doubles while Barrett Hodgson and Tyler Goddard won 7-6, 6-2 at second doubles for Taunton. Canton sophomore Minh Duong battled to a 7-5, 1-6, 6-2 win at second singles.

Foxboro, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalThe Panthers earned wins at first and second singles and swept doubles action to protect home court against Foxboro. Liam Marr won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles while Rohan Herur took a 6-0, 6-3 decision at second singles. The team of  Lucas Gulick and Vayshnav Malhotra won 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles for the Panthers while Saket Gandham and Shoumik Sompally earned a 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 win at second doubles. Foxboro’s Bo Canfield won 6-0, 6-2 at third singles.

North Attleboro, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip senior Marco DiStefano emerged victorious in a three-set battle at second singles to give the Warriors a win over North Attleboro in a battle of top teams in the league. DiStefano earned a 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 win, Nick Putney took a 6-2, 6-3 win at first singles for KP, and Nate Ihley and Zak Ryan won 6-4, 6-1 at first doubles. North Attleboro’s Sam Gallagher earned a 6-3, 6-1 win at third singles while Saketh Uppuluri and Justin Strom prevailed 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 at second doubles.

Milford, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalOliver Ames sophomore Yusaf Hameed won his second straight match, earning a 6-2, 7-5 decision at second singles for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 1 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalMansfield took two wins in singles action and two more in doubles competition to secure a win. Luke Nickerson won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles while Luke Devine picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win at second singles. The team of Max Bank and Sethu Odayappan won 6-1, 6-2 at first doubles while the team of Dheeraj Valluru and Sam Donnellan walked away with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at second doubles. Stoughton freshman Anish Sinha picked up a 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 win at third singles.

Seniors Nupur Shukla (first singles) and Sophia Fein (third) each won 6-0, 6-0 while sophomore Charlize Martinez pulled out a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles. The team of Lauren Glass and Sachi Basin earned the fourth point for Sharon, winning 6-3, 6-1 at first doubles. Attleboro’s Rena Danho and Jordan Bernardo picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win at second doubles.

Taunton, 2 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCanton emerged with a victory in a battle of two talented teams, taking two wins in singles play and one more in doubles action. Rachel Kupferman won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Natalie Keppler earned a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles, and the team of Kiara Cerruti and Lily Hazam prevailed 6-1, 6-2 at second doubles for the Bulldogs. Taunton’s Jocelyn Pagliuca won 6-1, 7-5 at third singles while Sam Martin and Brianna Fevrier picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles.

Pam Nelson (first singles) and Sarah Prag (second) each won 6-0, 6-0 while Paige Krockta battled to a 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 win at third singles. The team of Kendall Milender and Julia Muise notched a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles while Maggie McAuliffe and Kethry Milne teamed up for a 6-1, 6-2 win at second doubles.

King Philip, 4 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalKing Philip swept singles action and tacked on one more win at second doubles to earn a road win over North. Erin Regnier earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, Katarina Schneider took a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles, and Mia Valencia won 6-1, 6-3 at third singles. The team of Isabella MacMeans and Meghan Powers secured a 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 win at second doubles. North Attleboro’s Sam Martino and Haley Strom prevailed 6-3, 6-3 at first doubles.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Milford, 0 – FinalOliver Ames went on the road and won all five matches in straight sets to secure a victory over Milford. Sarah Leger won 6-0, 6-3 at first singles, Maura Kiernan picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles, and Kate McCormick earned a 6-2, 6-4 decision at third singles. The team of Eva Belanger and Morgan Vasiliou picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win at first doubles while OA’s second doubles team of Erika Mekler and Sarah Barron secured a 6-2, 6-2 victory.

Mansfield, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalMansfield picked up two wins in singles competition and two more in doubles action to beat the Black Knights. Lizzy Elsner (first singles) and Kate Martin (second) each won 6-1, 6-1, the team of Hannah Podolske and Sam Sternburg picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles, and Lauren Hobaica teamed up with Alex Burnham for a 6-1, 6-2 win at second doubles for the Hornets. Stoughton’s Jess Podesta rallied for a 2-6, 6-4, 12-10 win at third singles.

Boys Volleyball
King Philip, 3 @ Norton, 0 – FinalThe Warriors improved to 10-2 on the season with its second sweep of Norton of the season, winning 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-19). Jimmy Peterson and Eric Altobello each had eight kills to pace the offense while Mike O’Brien had five kills and a block in his first game playing middle. Kyle Desrochers (10 digs) and Max Armour (eight digs) anchored the defense while Alex Bernhard finished with 14 service points.

Milford, 3 @ Millis, 0 – FinalMilford picked up its 11th win of the season with a 3-0 sweep (25-16, 25-19, 25-16) on the road at Millis. Tiago Filadelfo paced the Hawks offense with seven kills and four digs while Zach Browne added nine kills and four digs.

Taunton, 3 vs. New Bedford, 0 – FinalTaunton defended home court, sweeping visiting New Bedford, 3-0 (25-8, 25-15, 25-20). Sophomore Tyler Stewart netted a team-high 13 kills and two blocks, Gage Kingman notched six kills, 13 digs, a block, and an ace, and Chris LaCourse chipped in with 23 assists and three blocks.

Taunton, 1 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalFor the second straight game, Taunton senior Jack Moynihan tossed a gem and this time the Tigers put a run on the board to get the win. Moynihan scattered six hits in a complete game shutout, striking out seven. Taunton scored the lone run of the game in the top of the sixth inning as Lucas Martins singled and came around to score on a base hit from Josh Lajoie. Attleboro’s Ryan Morry was also strong, allowing five hits and striking out three in a complete game effort for the Bombardiers.

Foxboro, 8 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalFoxboro junior Michael Devlin shined in his first start of the season on the mound and reached base four times offensively to pace the Warriors to a win over Sharon. Devlin scattered five hits and two walks in a complete game, allowing one earned run with four strikeouts. Offensively, he had one hit, three walks and scored two runs. Joe Cavaleri and James Kaeser (two hits) each added two RBI for Foxboro.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin junior Brennan Rivera allowed just one hit and faced the minimum, tossing his second straight shutout to pace the Panthers to a win over visiting Oliver Ames. Rivera fanned 12 batters and had the one hit erased on a double play against the next batter. Scott Elliott (run), Alex Haba (double, run, RBI), and Jake Macchi (RBI) each had a hit for the Panthers. Reid Latham was strong for the Tigers, allowing four hits over six innings while striking out nine. Latham also had the lone hit offensively for OA.

Mansfield, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip scored once in the second and tacked on two more in the third, holding on the rest of the way to beat Mansfield. The Hornets scored once in the fifth and made it a one-run game with a run in the seventh inning. KP sophomore Jake Silveria earned his first career win, tossing a complete game with just three hits allowed, two walks, and three strikeouts. Silveria also paced the offense with two hits and two RBI. Chris Daniels also had a hit and an RBI for the Warriors. Matt Scibilia and Nick Dumouchel each drove in a run for Mansfield.

Stoughton, 2 @ Milford, 3 – FinalStoughton tied the game at 2-2 with a run in the top of the sixth but the Hawks answered with a run in the bottom half to take the lead back and earn a win over the visiting Black Knights. Danny Corsini (2-for-3, run), Tyler Almeida (2-for-3), and Carter Scudo (2-for-3, run, RBI) had consecutive singles, the latter scoring the first. Corsini went five innings on the mound, allowing two runs on three hits and four strikeouts. Sophomore Mario Lee earned the win in relief, striking out one with one hit allowed in two scoreless innings. Jacob Kaplan had two hits for Stoughton while Kyle Gagnon and George Currier each scored a run.

Softball
Canton, 2 @ North Attleboro, 12 – FinalBella Erti struck out 11 and allowed only one earned run for the Rocketeers. She also had a pair of hits at the plate and drove in a pair of runs. Ashley Cangiano led the way offensively with four hits, while Annabelle Hebard (two RBI), Olivia Capobianco, and Emily Nardelli each had three hits. Abby Gallagher and Alex Moulson each had two hits in the win.

Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 12 – FinalAlli Small went 2-for-3 for the Eagles and Penny Rabatsky added a triple in the fourth inning.

Franklin, 16 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final (5 inn.)Franklin’s Emily Valentino allowed three hits, struck out five and issued one walk in a shutout performance, helping the Panthers win on the road. Maddy White paced the offense with three hits, a walk, two runs, and four RBI while Kylie Bouzan went 2-for-2 with an RBI for Franklin. OA sophomore Emma Varella had a pair of doubles while junior Katie Abreu also had a double for the Tigers.

King Philip, 3 @ Mansfield, 10 – FinalThe Hornets took the lead in the fourth inning, added two more runs in the fifth, and then broke the game wide open with six runs in the bottom of the sixth to secure a win over defending league champ KP. Kara Bendanillo drove in four runs and the Hornets pounded out nine hits as a team. KP jumped in front with a run in the first and the lead lasted until the fourth inning when Mady Bendanillo homered. Caty DeMassi singled, advanced to second on a sac bunt by Ashlyn Conley, took third on a passed ball, and then scored the go-ahead run on a grounder to second. Mansfield added to its lead with two runs in the fifth. Mary Muldoon led off the inning with a walk and moved to second on a sac bunt by Sydney Woods. Kara Bendanillo drove her in with a single and, after making her way to third, aggressively came home to score when a pitch got away. In the sixth, the Hornets’ offense put the game away. Conley, Ella Verheggen, and Casey Mousette hit three straight singles. Muldoon drove in a run with a walk, Woods reached on an error, and Kara Bendanillo cleared the bases with a double. DeMassi made it 10 runs with a two-run single. Sarah Cahill earned the win in the circle, striking out five. Mansfield coach Lori Letendre said, “Mansfield played with a lot of energy today and I’m so proud of the total team effort.”

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Foxboro, 9 – Final Foxboro held Oliver Ames scoreless in the first quarter and built a 6-2 lead at halftime that it never relinquished. The Warriors held the Tigers to just one goal in each the third and fourth quarters as freshman goalie Matt Tully made nine saves to help earn the win. Senior Pete Conley paced the Foxboro offense with five goals and one assist while junior Aidan Stapleton scored once and had two helpers. Senior Colin Bourne scored twice for Oliver Ames while junior Frankie Ireland netted one goal and had one assist. Junior Nick Gillis made 14 saves in net for OA.

Mansfield, 9 @ King Philip, 17 – FinalKing Philip senior Chris Longobardi won 22 face offs and senior Colin DeVellis recorded 10 points to help the Warriors knock off visiting Mansfield. DeVellis had seven goals and three assists, Robbie Tartaglia and Kevin Riggs each scored a hat trick, Andrew Sajdak had two goals and an assist, Sam Mattson recorded two helpers, and David Lawler and Matt Meehan each scored once. Junior Andrew McKinney made six saves in net. For Mansfield, Aidan Sacco (assist) and Connor Quirk each had a hat trick while Brady Kessler and Jake Quirk each found the back of the net once.

The Warriors also got a hat trick from Olivia Tormey, a pair of goals from Mackenzie Mazur, one goal from Ali Wilson and three assists from Victoria Tormey. Dana Truini also grabbed six draw controls for the visitors.

Junior Max Amaral pitched five innings for Attleboro, scattering three hits with one run allowed in his first varsity start. Senior Mason Houle paced the offense, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Troy Gamache (RBI), Bailey Camacho (double, run), Tim Callahan, and Robbie Furtado each had a hit for Attleboro.

Canton, 2 @ Franklin, 3 – Final (8 inn.)Franklin senior Cooper Ross drove in the game-winning in the bottom of the eighth inning, his second RBI of the game, to give the Panthers a walkoff win over Canton. Ross singled in classmate Alex Haba, who singled and stole second to get in scoring position. Canton scored in the first inning off an RBI double from Matt Pigeon but Franklin took the lead away with two runs in the bottom of the inning. Scott Elliott drew a one-out walk and moved to third on a double from Haba. Jake Macchi brought the first run home with a sacrifice fly, and Haba scored when Ross reached on an error. Brennan Rivera earned the win for the Panthers, striking out eight in a complete game effort. Rivera walked just one batter (the first of the game) and scattered four hits.

Other first place finishes for the road Tigers included Sean Flaherty (110M hurdles, 17.8), Kyle Sarney (2 mile, 10:34.8), Ryan Hilliard (triple jump, 41’0″), Jared Mileika (javelin, 139’0″), and Anthony DeCosta (discus, 108’1″).

Taunton, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip rallied from an 0-2 deficit to stun the visiting Tigers with a 3-2 (23-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-17, 15-12) win. “It was such a great game to watch I’m so proud of the boys,” said KP head coach Emily Tkowski. “The team had great chemistry and never gave up, as a coach I couldn’t ask for anything else.” Max Armour had 14 digs and added five kills while Kyle Desrochers paced the defense with 19 digs.

Attleboro scored scored once in the second, added three runs in each the third and fifth innings and put the game out of reach with a four-run sixth inning to walk out of Frothingham Park with an 11-1 over the Tigers. Senior Eoin Kelleher shined on the mound as well as at the dish to pace the Bombardiers. He went six innings, scattering four hits and striking out six with one run allowed. He added a double, an RBI, and a run scored offensively while Sam Larkin (two RBI), Tim Callahan (two RBI), and Mason Houle (double, RBI) each had a pair of hits for Attleboro.

Canton, 2 @ Stoughton, 4 – FinalCanton jumped out to a 2-0 lead but Stoughton scored four runs, all on two-out hits, over the final three innings to earn the win. The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second and made it 2-0 in the top fo the fifth. In the bottom half, Robbie Seaman (2-for-3) connected for a two-out, two-run single to knot the score. The Black Knights added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead. Sophomore Brady Conlin (2-for-3) led off with a single and pinch-runner Jake Queeney came around to score on a two-out single from Mike Nazzaro (2-for-3). Zak Paquette then knocked in Nazzaro to make it 4-2. Paquette earned the win on the mound, tossing a complete game allowing six hits with two runs (0 ER), two strikeouts, and three walks.

Foxboro, 7 @ Milford, 8 – FinalMilford sophomore Carter Scudo put the ball in play and senior Matt Shaver scored from third as the Scarlet Hawks walked off with a win over visiting Foxboro. The Warriors held a 7-6 lead entering the final inning but were done in by three fielding errors in the bottom of the seventh. Scudo finished with a double, RBI, and a run scored while senior Tyler Almeida drew three walks and scored twice. Danny Corsini went five innings on the mound for the Hawks while Nick Marcolini earned the win in relief, allowing one hit and striking out one in two innings of work. Foxboro’s Michael Devlin went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, Brian Duncan added three hits, an RBI, and a run scored, and Joe Cavaleri and Sean Yoest each recorded two RBI for Foxboro.

King Philip, 1 @ Taunton, 0 – Final (10 inn.)Both King Philip starter David Morganelli and Taunton starter Logan Lawrence pitched into extra innings in a terrific pitchers’ duel on Wednesday afternoon. The Warriors were able to string together three hits in the 10th, the last being an RBI single from Morganelli to score Matt Munnafo for the winning run. Morganelli tossed 8.1 scoreless innings, striking out five while allowing five hits and two walks. Chris Sawyer earned the win in relief with 1.2 scoreless innings. Taunton junior Logan Lawrence pitched eight scoreless innings for the Tigers, scattering three hits and two walks while striking out seven.

The Tigers scored a run in each the first and second innings but the Bombardiers’ offense proved to be too much. Killough also had two doubles and finished with two RBI, Kayla Baptiste went 3-for-3 with two RBI, Jordyn Lako had two hits, including a triple and three RBI, Lindsay Perry had a double and two RBI, and Bergdoll added two hits and two RBI at the plate. OA sophomore Grace Simone was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Freshman Anna Balestino was 1-for-2 with an RBI while senior Colleen Larson scored the other run for OA.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 7 – FinalStoughton belted out 14 hits on its way its third win of the season, knocking off rival Canton, 7-4. Each player in the Black Knight recorded at least one hit with Karly Estremera leading the way with three. Jordan Lyons, Nikki Coppola and Lexi Baptista each had two hits for the Knights. Nicole Baker had another solid performance in the circle to earn the win. Canton’s Liz Bickett went 3-for-4 with a triple, a pair of singles, and two RBI for the Bulldogs.

Foxboro, 21 @ Milford, 5 – Final (5 inn.)Riley Martignetti had three hits and drove in five runs and freshman Peyton Feldman had three hits and three RBI from the lead-off spot to power Foxboro to a big win on the road. Camryn Willis also had three hits for the Warriors, while Morgan Sylvestre went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Emma Rohan went the distance in the circle to get the win. Foxboro coach Mark Maguire called it a complete team performance, as Foxboro got contributions throughout the lineup and all nine starters recorded at least one hit. Milford sophomore Carly Ferreira went 2-for-2 with two RBI, two runs scored and two triples while junior Amanda Wenckus smacked a two-run home run for the Hawks.

Franklin, 11 @ Mansfield, 6 – FinalMansfield scored three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to cut Franklin’s lead to just three runs (8-5) but the Panthers responded with three runs in the top of the seventh to secure the lead and a win on the road. Franklin jumped out to an 8-0 lead, with Gabby Colace (2-for-2, double, three runs, five RBI) putting the Panthers ahead with a two-run home run in the second inning. The Panthers added five runs in the second and one in the fourth for the 8-0 advantage. After Mansfield cut it to 8-5 through six innings, Franklin senior Jackie Cherry launched a three-run home run to give the Panthers breathing room. Ally Shea (double), Anna Balkus, Peyton Aronne (two RBI), and Maddy White (RBI, run) each had two hits for Franklin. Mansfield left runners on base in every inning but the fourth, including leaving the bases loaded in the first, third, and the seventh. Ella Verheggen went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI in the loss and the Hornets also got two hits apiece from Mary Muldoon and Sarah Cahill. Emma Roche came off the bench with her first hit of the year to start a sixth inning rally.

Annabelle Hebard paced North Attleboro’s offense by going 4-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI. Sharon made a defensive stand over the final minute to keep the Bulldogs out and hold on for the victory. Rowan Barnes had a goal and assist in the first quarter as Sharon jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Tommy Vaughan scored to cut the lead in half and then had a behind the back pass to David Allen for the tying goal early in the second. Vaughan then forced a turnover that led to a Chris Lavoie goal to put Canton in front 3-2, but Dan Lillenfeld responded immediately, catching the Bulldogs in transition, to tie it. In the final minute of the half, Griffin Roach and Matt Martin each scored to make it 5-3. Lillenfeld scored the lone goal of the third quarter to make it 5-4 and the Eagles tied it on a Drew Litner goal early in the fourth. Litner added his second to put Sharon ahead and Lillenfeld secured his hat trick with Sharon’s seventh. Roach got Canton back within one but Zack Waxman scored a man-up goal to double the lead. Vaughan got free for his second goal with two minutes left and Canton had possession in the final minute of the game but Adam Rabb made a big save and the Eagles held on.

Milford, 9 @ Attleboro, 8 – Final (OT)Milford’s Josh Ligor scored the game-winner in overtime to deliver the Scarlet Hawks a dramatic win on the road. Ryan Hazard paced the Hawks’ offense with five goals and an assist while Brendan White scored twice and Mike Demko had one goal. Milford coach Jacob Scordato said Danny Farrell and Jack LeBlanc had great defensive performances in front of Evan Hazard (22 saves).

Franklin, 20 @ North Attleboro, 6 – FinalFranklin senior Jacob Alexander won 21-of-27 faceoffs, helping the Panthers control possession in a 20-6 win on the road at North Attleboro. Matt Lazzaro paced the Panther offense with five seven goals and four assists, Jake Davis added five goals, Ben Greco chipped in with two goals and two assists, and Alexander added a pair of goals and assists in the win.

Mansfield, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 11 – FinalMansfield scored the first goal of the game but Oliver Ames rattled off seven straight to take a commanding lead at halftime and never surrendered that advantage. OA junior Shane Kilkelly scored three goals and assisted on four more while Colin Bourne had a strong game with four goals. Sam Stevens and Sandro Mascierelli each added a pair of goals while Nick Gillis made 13 saves in goal. Mike Reed scored twice and had an assist for the Hornets, Aidan Sacco scored once and had one helper, and Tom Norton and Brad Grant each scored once.

Girls Lacrosse
Attleboro, 13 @ Milford, 14 – FinalAnnie Flanagan scored five times and Emily Haley added four to lead the Hawks to a come from behind victory. Milford scored the game’s final four goals, including Flanagan’s winner with only 35 seconds remaining. Elena Bon Tempo and Riley Campbell each scored twice for the hosts, Sophia Bucal added one, and goalie Savanna Rosado made critical saves down the stretch to help the Hawks come out on top. Attleboro’s Kyra Lyons scored a game-high 10 goals while Rylee Fontes added two and Sydney DiLiddo added one for the Bombardiers.

Sharon, 8 @ Canton, 5 – FinalRose Wald made nine saves in goal and the midfield collected 13-of-15 draw controls, including a team-high six by Bridget McManus, to help the Eagles hold off Canton in a big Davenport matchup. The Sharon attack clicked today, with five of the eight goals coming off assists. Emma Eberhardt was involved in all eight goals, scoring five and assisting on three others. Jenna Goldstein scored twice, Cass Barbera added one, and Mia Lappen had an assist for the Eagles. Kaitlyn Goyetch scored a hat trick for Canton in the loss.

Foxboro, 14 vs. Bishop Feehan, 6 – Final

North Attleboro, 3 @ Franklin, 19 – FinalFranklin notched its third win of the season with a big victory at home over visiting North Attleboro. Annie Walsh led the way with five goals and two assists while Kelsey MacCallum scored six goals with one helper. Franklin coach Kristin Igoe Guarino said Hailey Toolin had a strong day in the midfield and on defense with three draw controls.

Oliver Ames, 9 @ Mansfield, 15 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery of this game. – Mansfield pulled away in the second half to earn the Kelley-Rex division win. The Hornets led 7-5 at the half and just 9-8 early in the second half but closed the game on a 6-1 run to seal the victory. Katie Garvin scored seven times for Mansfield and Hayleigh Crawford added four. Katie McCarthy made three saves in the win and the Hornets got strong play on draw controls by Lauren Whitman. Maddie Kullen had a big game for the Tigers to keep the game close and head coach Nicole Lang rued OA’s inability to capitalize on the offensive opportunities it created.

King Philip, 19 @ Taunton, 7 – FinalNine different players scored for the Warriors in a big road win. Caroline Klim led the way with five goals and Dana Truini added four for KP. Ali Wilson had two goals and Jessica Sullivan scored twice and assisted on a third, while Victoria Tormey and Jenna Hitchen each scored once. Three players scored their first varsity goals for the Warriors. Haley Izydorczak had her first two goals and an assist, Lily Brown scored her first goal and had an assist, and Julia Marsden opener her varsity account with a goal as well.

Stoughton, 2 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCanton freshman Suraj Ramanathan won his third match of the year at first singles, picking up a 6-0, 6-4 win to pace the Bulldogs to a win over Stoughton. Sophomore Minh Duong added a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles and the team of Tyler Duffy and Justin Luk were winners at second doubles won 6-1, 6-4 at second doubles for the Bulldogs. Stoughton freshman Anish Sinha won 3-6, 6-3, 12-10 at third singles while the team of Hassan Khan and LJ Ferrandiz secured a 6-0, 6-2 win at first doubles.

Milford, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – FinalFoxboro earned a pair of wins in both singles and doubles action to pick up a 4-1 victory over visiting Milford. Sophomore Jason Kandula won 7-5, 6-4 at second singles and freshman Bo Canfield earned a 6-1, 6-4 decision at third singles for the Warriors. The team of senior Brian Gardner and junior Sean McAvoy won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles while junior Noah Hicks and sophomore Justin Neale prevailed 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles. Milford’s Brendan O’Shaughnessy won 7-6 (3), 6-7 (4), 10-5 in a hard fought match at first singles.

Rohan Herur was the lone singles winner for the Panthers, earning a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles. The team of senior Saketh Saripalli and freshman Vayshnav Malhotra won 6-0, 6-2 at first doubles and juniors Shoyaib Shaik and Shoumik Sompally prevailed 7-6 (3), 7-5 at second doubles. Mansfield’s Luke Nickerson won 7-5, 6-1 at first singles and Nilay Pangrekar scored a 6-0, 6-4 win at third singles.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Sharon, 4 – FinalNorth Attleboro sophomore Jonah Manso prevailed in a three-set match at first singles but Sharon picked up wins in the other two singles matches while sweeping doubles play. Sharon’s Max Brody and Max Chen earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at first doubles while Alex Aspel and Jake Ross prevailed 4-6, 7-6, 7-5 in a tight match at second doubles. Junior Alvaro Espinal knocked in Max Amaral with a two-out RBI single in the seventh for the winning run. Nick McMahon (3.2 innings) and Anthony Deyesso (3 innings, win) were stellar in relief for Attleboro.

Foxboro, 0 @ Taunton, 6 – FinalTaunton senior Jack Moynihan earned the win on the mound and had a strong day at the plate to lead the Tigers to a win over visiting Foxboro. Moynihan tossed six scoreless inning, scattering four hits and two walks while striking out six to earn the win. Offensively, Moynihan went 2-for-3 with two RBI while Logan Lawrence had three hits, including a triple, an RBI, and two runs scored for Taunton. Freshman Tom Marcucella had two hits for the Warriors.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – FinalOliver Ames scored two runs in the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie and added another run for insurance to secure a 4-1 win over visiting North Attleboro. Jake Erlich (two doubles), Jared Spillane (two runs), and Sean O’Brien (who had a great defensive game) each had two hits for the Tigers. Reid Latham earned the win for OA, allowing just four hits and striking out four in 6.1 innings of work. Nick Boudreau picked up the save for OA.

Attleboro, 7 @ Stoughton, 8 – FinalStoughton outlasted Attleboro in a tight game to earn its second win of the season. Karly Estremera had an impressive day at the plate, hitting three triples, scoring three runs and recording one RBI while Bri Ferrandiz added three hits and two RBI. Jordan Lyons, Nicole Baker, Nikki Coppola (two singles), Sarah McGrath, and Sydney Menz all contributed hits for the Black Knights.

Attleboro, 50 @ Mansfield, 86 – FinalMansfield’s Andrew Williams won a pair of events and took second in another, setting new personal bests in all three, to pace the Hornets to a win over Attleboro. Williams on the high jump (6’4) and the long jump (20’3″) while taking second in the 110M hurdles (16.7). Sophomore Anthony Comer was also a double winner, taking first in the 100M dash (11.0) and 200M dash (22.8.). Dan Knight (PR of 52.1), Tyler King, and Jack Rivard swept the 400M while Jason Windvogel (2:02) and Peter Oldow (2:06) went 1-2 in the 800. Patrick Heavey (4:40) and Pete Sullivan (4:41) finished first and second, respectively, in the 1 Mile.

Canton, 81 @ Foxboro, 54 – FinalCanton’s Deyontai Dennis won three individual events and was a member of a winning relay team, pacing the Bulldogs to a win over Foxboro. Dennis took first in the high jump, the long jump, the 400M hurdles, and anchored the Bulldogs’ 4×400 relay team. Tommy Pulcini was first in the shot put and second in the discus while Junior Sainvil took first in the triple jump and the 100M dash, and second in the long jump and 200M.

Attleboro, 42 @ Mansfield, 94 – Final – Mansfield’s Amanda Mangano took first in three individual events and was a member of the winning 4×100 relay team in the Hornets’ big win over Attleboro. Mangano won the 100M (12.6), the long jump (16-3), and the high jump (5-0) while teaming up with Alexis Kiyanda, Emily Quitzau, and Zoe Plante to win the 4×100 (52.3). Julia Hill was a double winner, crossing first in the 400M hurdles (71.6) and the triple jump (34-2). Freshman Katie Miller won the 800M (2:30.8) and freshmen Maria Sevastos (64.3) and Anna Darlingto (64.6)n took first and second, respectively, in the 400.

Canton, 51 @ Foxboro, 85 – FinalFor Canton, Maddie Rousseau won the 200, the long jump, and the triple jump while taking second in the 100. Sarah Collins was also a double winner for the Bulldogs, grabbing the top spot in the 400M hurdles and the 400M. Chloe Pennacchio was second in the 1 Mile, 2 Mile, and the shot put.
