Thanksgiving is all about tradition, so we decided to start a new one here at HockomockSports.
This year marks the debut of our Thanksgiving Hock 5 Top Plays, a chance to spotlight the biggest moments from rivalry week. We asked the entire Hockomock community to send in their best clips, and the response was incredible. From Wednesday night under the lights to Thursday morning across the league, you delivered some truly unforgettable highlights. Now, we’re excited to reveal this year’s winners and kick off a tradition we hope grows for years to come.
Thanksgiving Top Plays: Submission Rules
We are looking for the best football plays from Thanksgiving morning across the Hockomock League,
plus the Milford/Taunton game on Wednesday night. Coaches, players, parents, and fans are all
welcome to submit highlights.
Rules and Submission Info
- Eligible plays must come from Thanksgiving morning games or the Milford/Taunton game on Wednesday night.
- Submissions are due by 5PM on Thanksgiving Day.
- Send videos to any of our socials (@HockomockSports) or email info@hockomocksports.com.
- Videos can be direct uploads or links to YouTube or Hudl – please provide credit.
- Please include the players involved, the teams, and the game situation if possible.
- Our goal is to post our choices for the Hock 5 Top Plays (think SportsCenter Top 10) by the end of the night.
We’re asking everyone to submit clips by 4pm on Thanksgiving Day. Videos can be sent to any of our social media accounts @HockomockSports or emailed to info@hockomocksports.com
. Submissions can be full video files, links to YouTube, or Hudl clips — anything that allows us to easily watch and evaluate the play. Accessibility and simplicity are key; the goal is to make contributing to the Thanksgiving Hock 5 Top Plays as easy as pulling out your phone and sharing what you captured.
As for what to send, we’re looking for the types of plays that define holiday football in the Hock: explosive touchdowns, one-handed catches, perfectly timed interceptions, big hits, creative trick plays, and clutch fourth-quarter moments. Thanksgiving games bring emotion, energy, and unpredictability, and those characteristics often lead to standout highlights. A long run where a player breaks multiple tackles, a special-teams return that flips field position, or a defensive stop that seals a rivalry win — any of these could belong in the Thanksgiving Hock 5 Top Plays.
When submitting a clip, it helps to include basic context: who made the play, which teams were involved, and what was happening in the game at the time. This information helps us present the highlights accurately and gives viewers a full appreciation of why each moment mattered. High-quality video is ideal, but even cell-phone footage from the stands is welcome as long as the play is clearly visible.
