HockomockSports.com 1st Annual Charity All-Star Event
I am beyond excited to announce that this March, we will be running our first annual HockomockSports.com Basketball Charity All Star Event.
It has been a goal of mine since I launched this website in November 2011 that someday we would be able to host some sort of event of this nature. Over a year ago, the idea of an All Star game was brought to my attention and as my staff, family, friends and various coaches can attest to, it hasn’t escaped my mind. I started this website to promote the Hockomock League and the student-athletes that participate in it and this event has that exact same mindset.
We will be hosting a girls basketball All Star Game, a boys basketball All Star Game, and a three-point shooting contest for both the girls and boys, with 100% of proceeds from admission being donated to charity. Players will be selected by our staff and this is exclusively an event run by HockomockSports.com and has no direct affiliation with the Hockomock League and their All Star selections.
We fully intend to make this a competitive, fun event for the players and will be extending invitations to local college coaches to showcase the talent in this league.
Final details will be released in the near future, but as a disclaimer, any players that are still playing – the MIAA State Finals – will not be eligible to participate in the event.
I’m beyond excited to announce this and even more ready to announce the exact details when they are finalized.
