Hockomock Playoff Schedule & Scoreboard – 02/26/14

Here are today’s Hockomock playoff games.

Game of the Week – D2 South Hockey
#10 Oliver Ames, 4 vs. #7 Milford, 2 – Final – Junior Michael Carroll scored twice and Tyler Provost and Matt Campanella each scored once. Milford’s Griffin Lynch scored once and assisted on Brad White’s goal.

Boys Basketball
D1 South
#3 Mansfield, 72 vs. #19 Weymouth, 52 – Final – Ryan Boulter scored 28 points and Rocky DeAndrade dropped 25 points in the win for Mansfield. Michael Boen finished with nine points and eight boards for the Hornets.

#6 Taunton, 82 vs. #11 Brookline, 84 – Final (2OT) – Senior Gerald Cortijo dropped a season-high 32 points in the loss for the Tigers and Corey Green added 17 points. Truly Kenku hit a three-pointer at the buzzer of the first overtime to send it into double overtime. Taunton is eliminated from the postseason.

D2 South
#8 Canton, 65 vs. #9 Sandwich, 55 – Final – Sam Larson scored 25 points for the Bulldogs, Tristin Morris added 18 points and Matt Kelley chipped in with 13 points. 

#10 Sharon, 84 @ #7 Randolph, 63 – Final – Brian Mukasa led the Eagles, scoring 28 points in the win, sophomore Matt Lowerre scored 15 points, senior Jimmy Fritzson added 15 points and four assists and Jordan Mello-Klein finished with 14 points. 

#15 Oliver Ames, 65 @ #2 Whitman-Hanson, 81 – Final – Ryan Carney led the Tigers with 34 points in the loss. Oliver Ames is eliminated from the postseason.

#16 Foxboro, 66 @ #1 Bishop Feehan, 76 – Final – Junior Cam Seeley recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds and senior Tim O’Halloran scored 13 points and  Mark Clagg and Derek Gilreath each added 11 points. Foxboro is eliminated from the postseason.

Hockey
D1 South
#5 Franklin, 7 vs. #12 Weymouth, 2 – Final – Mason Saunders, Joe Bourque (Alec Borkowski), Troy Donahue, Ryan Spillane, Vince Geromini (Saunders), Kyle Powers (2)(Borkowski), and DJ Shea scored goals for Frankin.

#10 Mansfield, 3 vs. #7 Norwood, 4 – Final – Billy Grant (Jared Collins and Kyle Hurley), Jared Collins (Evan Kershaw, Will Kelleher) and Kyle Hurley (Kershaw, Grant) scored for Mansfield. Mansfield is eliminated from the postseason.
