Attleboro has named Nick McMahon as the new head coach of its golf program, the school announced in a press release.
McMahon is a 2020 graduate of Attleboro High, where he competed in basketball and baseball. He earned Hockomock League honorable mention recognition in basketball and helped guide the Bombardiers to a sectional final on the diamond during his senior season.
“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to join the Attleboro golf program,” McMahon said in a press release. “I look forward to working with our student-athletes to establish a culture built on dedication, discipline, and integrity. I am excited to get to work this fall and help our Attleboro golfers succeed on and off the course.”
McMahon was also selected as Attleboro’s Scholar Athlete as a senior.
“Coach Nick McMahon will be a great addition to our AHS golf team,” Attleboro athletic director Mark Houle said. “He has shown excellent leadership in various coaching positions at AHS, and our student-athletes will benefit from his support.
The Bombardiers, who play their home matches at Stone-E-Lea Golf Course, are coming off a third place finish in the Kelley-Rex division last year.
