1. Taunton19-1The final regular season showdown with KP lived up to all the billing, as it went to 10 innings before the Warriors walked off with a split of the season series. Taunton responded with a rout of Feehan and remains the team to beat as it begins its title defense next week.
2. King Philip20-2Sarah Cullen finally ended a thriller with Taunton, walking things off in the 10th inning and securing the Warriors a share of the league title. They have now won 13 of the last 16 league titles, including twice sharing the crown with Taunton. KP is another favorite in D1.
3. North Attleboro15-5Head coach Bill Wallace earned his 300th career win and Kelly Colleran extended her record for strikeouts in a season with her 300th, as North won three times in three days to close the regular season. After a first Final Four appearance last year, North looks ready for another run.
4. Attleboro12-8Six of Attleboro's eight losses this season came against the top three teams in these rankings, including a 3-1 loss to North last week. After dropping the season finale against Natick (in eight innings), the Bombardiers can turn their attention to making another run in the D1 tournament.
5. Franklin 9-11The Panthers split a pair of games with Milford in the final week and then closed the regular season with a win over Mansfield. Franklin is another team whose record looks worse because of the teams above it in these rankings (1-7 against the top 4) and could make noise in the playoffs.

On the edge: Oliver Ames (9-11)
