LEAP MEMBERS
Hockomock LEAP (Leadership Executive Ambassador Program) is a two-year, distinguished leadership program designed for student-athlete leaders in the Hockomock League. This collaborative initiative empowers student-athletes through leadership development, service, and peer impact.
Each Hockomock League school nominates two to three (no more than four) rising junior student leaders. Approximately 30 members will be accepted, representing all 12 schools in the league.
Identify and cultivate exceptional student-athlete leaders. Develop leadership, communication, and advocacy skills. Promote mentorship and positive culture. Empower student-athletes to lead service initiatives. Celebrate student voice and impact across the league. Prepare student-athletes for life after high school.
Focus on education and leadership training. Attend two in-person meetings (November and March) and four Google Meets. Participate in one Hockomock League Captains Conference during the winter or spring season.
Apply leadership skills through a home community event with your athletic director, such as captains trainings or coaches workshops. Participate in junior workshops. Help run and facilitate Hockomock League Captains Conferences. Be featured on HockomockSports.com and receive a certificate of completion, with potential college credit opportunities.
This program is designed for student-athlete leaders. Today’s student-athletes face growing demands, and LEAP equips participants with the tools to lead with purpose, resilience, and service both on and off the field. Members are recognized as leaders and make a meaningful difference in their schools and communities.
