Field Hockey
Taunton, 0 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – Attleboro controlled the attack and that resulted in a 3-0 win at home over Taunton. After a scoreless first half, the Bombardiers finally broke through in the third with a goal and then tacked on two more in the fourth to secure the win. Marley Young scored once and assisted on both of the other two goals, scored by Nora Desrosiers and Stella Krawiec. Alyvia Bessette also had an assists in the win while Siobhan Landers and Jordan Mooney were big play makers the whole game in the midfield.
North Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – Holding a one-goal lead at halftime, Franklin scored three goals in the third quarter to pull away from the visiting Rocketeers. Haley Wernig scored just over five minutes into the second quarter for the only goal of the first half. Less than a minute into the third quarter, Wernig scored her second on an assist from Kaitlyn Carney. Midway through the third quarter, Payten Crandall extended the lead to 3-0 off a feed from Emily Carney, who then scored with just one second left in the quarter to make it 4-0. Wernig completed the hat trick midway through the fourth off a pass from Crandall. Devon Barry (two saves) and Megan Sullivan (two saves) combined for the shutout for Franklin.
Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 9 – Final – King Philip junior Kelly Holmes recorded three points to lead the Warriors to a win at home over Milford. Holmes had a pair of goals and one assist while seniors Charlotte Raymond and Sammy Simeone and junior Meg Dowling each scored their first career goals. Haley Bright and Samantha Sweetman combined for the shutout in net for KP.

Stoughton, 0 @ Foxboro, 9 – Final – Foxboro jumped ahead with a three-goal lead at halftime and then doubled its advantage with a three-goal third quarter and never looked back for a big win. Senior Jenny Gallagher scored a hat trick for the Warriors, including a pair in the first half as well as a third quarter assist. Val Beigel, Mary Collins (two assists), Ella Campbell, Mya Waryas (assist), and Fiona Dunn each scored once for the hosts. Kerry Driscoll, Samantha LaFarge, and Catarina Melo played well defensively for the Black Knights while new goalie Bella Iacobucci stepped up huge for the visitors with some excellent saves.
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Canton, 2 – Final – Maggie McCready’s goal early in the third quarter proved to be the game-winner for the Bulldogs, who picked up a key division win over Oliver Ames. Audrey Koen scored late in the first quarter on a pass from Izzy Digirolamo to give the hosts a 1-0 lead that they held onto through halftime. OA’s Erin Cottam finished off a pass from Julia Maclaine to cut the deficit in half in the third quarter. Olivia O’Rourke had a strong game in net for the Tigers.
Volleyball
Oliver Ames, 3 @ Canton, 1 – Final – Oliver Ames overcame a one-set deficit and won three straight to earn a key win on the road over division rival Canton, 3-1 (19-25, 25-20, 25-14, 25-16). Junior Sarah Hilliard was a handful on the outside, landing 21 kills on the outside along with three aces. Sophomore Addyson Smock added four kills and two blocks, sophomore Clare Kavoulis recorded 27 digs, and Maddie Homer had 27 digs. For Canton, Sally Hoban had five kills and a block while Fatima Sidibay continued to bring the energy with a strong performance at the net for the Bulldogs.
Stoughton, 3 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final
North Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Franklin had a strong overall performance, recording 30 kills and 20 aces as a team in a 3-0 (25-7, 25-8, 25-14) win over North Attleboro.
Milford, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip had a dominant performance at the net that resulted in a 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-14) sweep against visiting Milford. Sami Shore had a great performance with 17 kills, Ahunna James added 11 kills, five digs, and three aces, and Emily Sawyer recorded 10 kills, three blocks, and two aces. Junior Ava Kelley notched seven digs defensively for KP.

Oliver Ames, 6 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – Oliver Ames found the back of the net three times in each half to secure a big win on the road at Attleboro. Junior Erin Cottam led the charge for the Tigers, scoring four goals and assisting on OA’s other two, which were both scored by Kayla Kenney. Julia Maclaine registered two assists and Megan Crabtree had one in the win. For Attleboro, Nora Desrosiers and Siobhan Landers each scored once with Marley Young assisting on both.
Foxboro, 2 @ King Philip, 2 – Final – King Philip twice erased a one-goal deficit in the third quarter to earn a 2-2 draw against visiting Foxboro. After a scoreless first quarter, the visitors took the lead when Cam Collins took a pass from Val Beigel and found the back of the net with less than a minute to go in the first half. King Philip came back to tie it on a goal from Leah Santoro to make it 1-1, but Foxboro got its second of the game off the stick of Jenny Gallagher with 2:17 left in the third. Before the buzzer, the hosts pulled level yet again as Mara Boldy found the back of the net to make it 2-2. Charlotte Raymond, who also had an assist, and Abby MacDonald had strong performances while Haley Bright made seven saves in net for KP.
Sharon, 0 @ Franklin, 12 – Final – Franklin senior Shaw Downing scored four goals in the first quarter and finished with five overall and one assist as the Panthers rolled to a big win at home. Sydney Rogan added two goals, Ella Aldred, Kaitlyn Carney (four assists), and Sophia Cuneo each scored once, and both Chloe Essam and Maeve Rolston netted their first career goals.
Mansfield, 0 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Taunton and Mansfield battled back-and-forth for 60 minutes but ended in a stalemate as both teams earned one point from the draw. For Taunton, Jasmine Lucier made four saves in net to record the shutout while the defense of Thal Nogueira, Bridget MacDougall and Sydney Moreton, along with Kaysie DeMoura in midfield, played well for the Tigers.
North Attleboro, 9 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Katherine Giroux, Carly Sanda, and Sophia Tombros all played well for the Black Knights.
Canton, 6 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Canton went on the road and earned their fifth straight win to open the season, this time a 6-1 decision over the Scarlet Hawks. Izzy Digirolamo had a huge day offensively for the Bulldogs with four goals. Milford senior goalie Stella Portes made 24 saves in net.
Volleyball
Canton, 3 @ Milford, 1 – Final – The Bulldogs bounced back from a one-set deficit to win three in a row and grab a 3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22) win on the road at Milford. Jess Wright was everywhere for the Dogs, finishing with 21 kills, 10 digs, and an ace. Fatima Sidibay was a force at the net with seven kills and four blocks while Zoe Scibelli was a calming force on defense with 12 digs and three aces.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – After dropping the first set by double digits, Attleboro stormed back to win three straight and secure a 3-1 win (12-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-17) over visiting Oliver Ames. The Bombardiers picked up key contributions from Sadie Whitmarsh, who notched 15 digs, and Addie Shelton, who added seven kills in the win. Natalie Brojek dished out 25 assists and Julia Leonardo did it all for the Bombardiers with 20 digs and 18 kills. For Oliver Ames, senior Mary Derba had eight kills, sophomore Clare Kavoulis added 33 assists and three aces, Maddie Homer had 23 digs and 28 serve receptions, Sarah Hilliard added 14 kills, and Addyson Smock finished with seven kills and three assists.

Boys Cross Country
Mansfield, 19 @ Canton, 41 – Final – Mansfield swept the top three spots to earn a win on the road over Canton at Pequitiside Farm. Junior Talon Johnson was first overall followed by senior John Sylvian and junior Sam Taylor. Canton junior Sam Vail clocked in a personal best 19:26 as the Bulldogs’ top finisher, while sophomore Max Mateo also had a strong showing for the hosts.

Attleboro, 24 @ Milford, 36 – Final
Franklin, 39 @ Taunton, 17 – Final – Taunton swept the top three spots to clinch a win at home over visiting Franklin. Sam Denis crossed the finish line first while Brayden Cali and Andrew Cali took second and third place, respectively, for the Tigers.
Girls Cross Country
Mansfield, 15 @ Canton, 48 – Final – Mansfield had the top five runners to earn a sweep on the road at Pequitiside Farm against Canton. Junior Anna Moore won the race, followed by senior Alexis DiVasta, sophomore Sierra Wojick, senior Devin Anderson, and freshman Alex Petrova to round out the top five. Johanna Bouwmeester was Canton’s top runner while freshman Honesty Johnson had a big personal best and finished fourth for the Bulldogs.
Foxboro, 43 @ Oliver Ames, 17 – Final
Sharon, 27 @ Stoughton, 32 – Final – Stoughton took second, third, and fourth but a first place from Sharon’s Sara Lessard and six straight finishers from fifth on helped the Eagles clinch the win. Stoughton’s Lilly Branco was second overall followed by teammates Elaine McCarty and Julie Richardson.
Attleboro, 39 @ Milford, 19 – Final
Franklin, 19 @ Taunton, 42 – Final – Taking four of the top five spots, Franklin ran away with a big win on the road at Taunton. Junior Alex Batla won the race in 21:21 with sophomore Fiona Morrison just three seconds back at 21:24 to take second. After Taunton’s Colby Dunham (21:27) took third, Franklin senior Ashley Tighe was fourth (21:34) and sophomore Abby Baker (22:29) was fifth. Senior Artemisia Saparoff rounded out Franklin’s scoring by taking seventh (22:57). Taunton’s Emersyn DePonte was sixth overall at 22:54.
Golf
Stoughton, 168 @ Milford, 154 – Final – Milford junior Anthony LaPierre had one of his best rounds of the season, firing a one-under par round to lead the Scarlet Hawks past Stoughton. LaPierre carded a one-under round of 34 to earn medalist honors at Hopedale Country Club. Jacob Hipolito added a 39 and Nate Lawrence chipped in with a 40 for the hosts. For Stoughton, David Monaghan shot a 39 and Mason Page finished with a 42.
Sharon, 192 @ Foxboro, 166 – Final – Foxboro’s Patrick Callahan carded six pars and one birdie on his way to a medalist round in the Warriors’ win over Sharon. Callahan finished with a 37 on the front nine at Foxboro Country Club to lead the way for the hosts. Reese Curreri (three pars, one birdie) added a 41, Zac Georgantas (five pars) finished with a 42, and Louis Carangelo (two pars) came in with a 46. James Spoto shot a team-low round of 43 for the Eagles.
Canton, 172 @ Mansfield, 168 – Final – Sophomore Will Riley proved to be a vital addition to the Hornets’ lineup on Tuesday, shooting a medalist round to lead Mansfield past division rival Canton. Riley, who was added to the starting lineup late in the day, was a co-medalist along with Canton’s Huck McCready as both sophomores fired a 40 on the day at Norton Country Club. Junior Jason Friedman added a 42 for the Hornets while junior Cody Nieratko and sophomore Brendan Vokey each shot a 43. For Canton, Joey Ryan chipped in with a 41, Brian Middleton added a 44, and Teddy Shuman carded a 47.
Oliver Ames, 163 @ Taunton, 183 – Final – Oliver Ames returned home from Segregansett Country Club with a non-league win over Taunton in a crossover clash. Senior Michael McGinnis and junior Sean Kearns shared medalist honors in the win after both finished the day with a 40. Senior Daniel Paul and junior David Rodgers rounded out the scoring for OA with at 42. Sean Murphy had a team-low round of 44 for the Tigers while Noah Faidell added a 45.
Franklin, 159 vs. St. John’s Shrewsbury, 152 – Final – Franklin came up just short in a non-league challenge against visiting St. John’s. CJ Steel and Caden Sullivan each shot a 39 for the Panthers.

Canton, 0 @ Milford, 2 – Final – Milford scored once in each half to down the Bulldogs for their first victory of the season. Arthur Tome put the hosts ahead, converting a pass from David Desa to make it 1-0. In the second half, junior Nick Ribeiro iced the game with a goal with just over two minutes to go.
Foxboro, 2 vs. Norton, 1 – Final – Foxboro senior Matt Angelini set up a goal in each half to help the Warriors claim a win against non-league foe Norton. Angelini blasted a low shot from atop the area that was saved, pushed off the post and out but junior Alex Penders was first to the loose ball and touched it in for a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute. Just after halftime, Angelini intercepted a pass in the attacking third and laid off a pass for Jacob Tessier, who beat the keeper from distance to make it 2-0 in the 48th minute.
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – Franklin scored back-to-back goals in a short span to earn a win over Oliver Ames, the first victory of the young season for the Panthers. Terry O’Neill was first to a loose ball in the box, pouncing on it to make it 1-0, and shortly after, Tyler Powderly found the back of the net. OA cut the deficit in half on a goal from senior Michael Haikal off an assist from Clide Neau.
King Philip, 0 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final – Carson Dameron scored the only goal of the game to lift North to the win. The sophomore pressured the KP center back, stole the ball, and scored on the break for his first career goal. Givany Carney also played well up top for North, keeping the KP defense on its toes. Brody Rosenberg and Joe Shephard played well on defense to help the Rocketeers keep a clean sheet.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Braintree, 0 – Final – North closed out a three-game week with a hard-fought non-league road win. Steph McKenna scored the lone goal of the game early in the second half. She took a pass from Autumn Hewitt and found the back of the net from 15 yards out. Haley Sinacola also came close when she hit a 35-yard free kick off the bar. Maddie Ferrin recorded her second clean sheet of the week and North’s defense of Lily Adams, Charlotte Moynihan, Caroline Ferrin, and Summer Doherty all played well.
Stoughton, 1 vs. Norwood, 2 – Final – Morgan Cook scored off an Isabella Rodrigues assist for Stoughton’s lone goal of the game. Emma Tran also played well in multiple positions for the Black Knights, who were missing a few players for the non-league game.
King Philip, 1 vs. Bishop Feehan, 6 – Final
Sharon, 3 vs. Milton, 3 – Final – Amanda Hu scored a late equalizer to earn a point for the Eagles, who twice came from a goal down in the draw. Olivia Soby opened the scoring for Sharon. After Milton scored twice to take the lead, Wendy Wooden leveled the scores. The Wildcats regained the lead but Hu fired in a shot from distance to tie it up in the closing minutes. Sofia Goclowski had a pair of assists.
Field Hockey
Milford, 0 @ Canton, 4 – Final – Ellie Bohane scored twice to lift Canton to the victory. Erin Lane and Maggie McCready each scored once for the Bulldogs.
Franklin, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final – Franklin built a three-goal advantage by halftime and tacked on one more in each of the third and fourth quarters to secure a win on the road over OA. Kaitlyn Carney scored a pair of goals while Shaw Downing, Payten Crandall, and Haley Wernig also scored, which was the first varsity goal for Wernig. Wernig and Crandall also had assists while Megan Sullivan had five saves for the shutout.
North Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 4 – Final – KP’s defense was dominant throughout, allowing only one shot on goal. Seniors Lily Brown and Molly Piller stood out for the Warriors on the defensive end of the field. Mara Boldy got the winner, scoring in the second quarter off an assist from Makenzie McDevitt. Boldy then added an assist, setting up Margo Reilly. Kelly Holmes added a third, assisted by Christina Gifun, and freshman Abby MacDonald closed out the scoring with her first career goal. Boldy added her second assist of the game on KP’s fourth.
Stoughton, 5 vs. Brockton, 0 – Final – Zofia Bangs scored a hat trick to power the Black Knights to their first win of the season. Mia Allie and Isabella Iacobucci also scored once apiece.

Milford, 1 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton bounced back from a tough second set and got its first win of the season, 25-22, 12-25, 25-16, 25-17. Taylor Reynolds ran the offense for the Bulldogs, dishing out 27 assists, while also chipping in with four aces and nine digs. Anna Verille had a big game defensively, recording 17 digs and also had four aces. Jess Wright sparked the attack with 14 kills (and added seven digs), while Sydney Gallery had a solid all-around game on the outside with eight kills and five digs.
Franklin, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final – OA won a close first set, 27-25, but then Franklin rolled over the next three sets (25-12, 25-13, 25-12) to pull out the win and stay perfect on the season. Cailyn Mackintosh dished out 21 assists and added eight kills. She also chipped in with four aces and 27 digs. Taylor Lacerda also had eight kills for the Panther and Brigid Earley had four kills and seven blocks. Addyson Smock had a pair of blocks for the Tigers and gave them an aggressive presence at the net. Hadley Rhodes led OA with 20 assists and five kills and Maddie Homer was strong in serve-receive and on defense with 27 digs and 32 receptions.
King Philip, 3 vs. Walpole, 0 – Final – King Philip continued its strong start to the season with a 3-0 sweep (25-13, 25-8, 25-10) at home over non-league foe Walpole. It was a strong all-around effort from the hosts with Sami Shore (10 kills, two aces), Liz Carey (four kills, 10 service points), and Emily Sawyer (five kills) pacing the offense. Stella Bailey (five aces, 17 service points) and Kiera Hagen (five aces) both performed well at the service line while Samantha Asprelli (six digs) was strong defensively.

Mansfield, 168 @ Franklin, 166 – Final – Franklin defended its home course to hand Mansfield its first loss of the season. Sophomore CJ Steel show the low round of the afternoon, carding a 38. That was one stroke better than Mansfield’s Cian Goulet. Caden Sullivan added a round of 42 and Ben Paterson and Caroline Woelfel each shot 43s for the Panthers. Cody Nieratko shot a 40 for the Hornets, who also got a round of 43 from Jordan Tavares and a 46 from Brendan Vokey.
Canton, 145 @ Oliver Ames, 152 – Final – Canton pulled out a win in the battle of unbeaten division rivals. Mike Leonetti was the medalist at Pine Oaks, shooting a 2-under round of 32. Will Gefteas had the second lowest round of the day, finishing with a 35. Conor Hunter added a 38 and Mekhala Costello and Charlie Cohen both shot a 40. OA was led by David Rodgers with a round of 37. Lucas Riley and Jake Kaplan both shot 38s and Carter Allbritton added a 39.
