2025 Hockomock League Girls Lacrosse Preview
Attleboro
2024 Record: 11-8
2024 Finish: Reached Div. 1 Round of 32
Coach: Kerri Beland
Attleboro is coming off the two best seasons in program history, having made back-to-back playoff appearances. Former player Kerri Beland will take charge of the team this spring (after being the assistant coach the past two seasons) and will be looking to build on recent success by bolstering the schedule to be better prepared for the playoff competition.
The attack should be a strength for the Bombardiers this season with the team’s top scorers from last year returning. Senior Isabella Cavallini (Bentley) has been one of the league’s top playmakers for a couple of seasons and she will run the attack again this year along with junior Amelia Collins, who has been a standout scorer each of the past two years. The midfield also returns a strong core of players who can impact the game at both ends of the field. Senior Ryann Mooney and juniors Makenah Stokes and Abigail Titmas add athleticism in the middle of the field, with Stokes also a big factor on the draws.
Attleboro’s defense will have a few new faces this season after graduating three starters. Senior Ashley Cordeiro will be the leader at the back and classmate Peyton McAuliffe has been among the league’s top goalies for the past two years. Junior Sofia Sprovieri will take a bigger role in defense. Junior Jordyn Riley will be a newcomer to watch in midfield and senior Kaya Hannon will add another scorer up front.
“With our mix of experienced players and new talent, our season is filled with excitement,” Beland said. “These girls have shown up each day ready to compete and build on the success this program has had the past few seasons. The skill, athleticism, and lacrosse IQ are all there – at the end of the day it’s who wants it more and from what I’ve seen so far this preseason, this team is ready to go.”
Canton
2024 Record: 10-8
2024 Finish: Reached Div. 2 Round of 32
Coach: Jess Powers
Canton has finished second in the Davenport division in each of the past three seasons, but the Bulldogs come into this spring with a lot of new faces, including on the bench where former player Jess Powers takes over as the team’s third coach in three years. With three of the team’s top four scorers and three starters on defense lost to graduation, Powers will have a relatively inexperienced group to get ready for the new season.
This is still an athletic group and that speed and aggressiveness will be a strength of the team. Junior Nora Giannacopoulos will be the focal point of the attack. The reigning HockomockSports.com Underclassman of the Year gives Canton a creative playmaker to run the offense through. Senior Izzy Digirolamo adds experience up front and sophomore Cassidy Lyons could be poised for a breakout season. Sophomore Shannon Lane and junior Deanna Kolokithas add two quick, athletic weapons in midfield and attack.
The defense will be a work in progress at the start of the season, as it’s an almost entirely new group at the back. Junior Michaela Dickie returns this spring and she will be the anchor and leader at that end of the field. The midfield group will also be counted on to help out in transition and defense while new players get up to varsity speed. In goal, senior Ashley Balunas and junior Sammy Gardner will split time to start the year.
Powers said, “This team will look to establish a new identity while continuing to build on the success of previous seasons. We have a great group of players with a lot of potential and I’m excited to see what they accomplish this year.”
Foxboro
2024 Record: 15-7 (Davenport champions)
2024 Finish: Reached Div. 3 Final Four
Coach: Kathleen McCullough
After winning a 12th consecutive Davenport division title and reaching the Div. 3 Final Four for the second year in a row, Foxboro returns 15 players to try and continue its run as one of the league’s perennial powers. With seven seniors and seven juniors on the roster, the Warriors have plenty of experience to call on to make another tournament run.
The key to Foxboro’s attack is senior Cate Noone. The Furman-commit and reigning HockomockSports.com Player of the Year is the creative fulcrum for the Warriors and a consistent threat on draws. Junior Addie Riley is coming off a breakout sophomore season in which she led the team with 76 goals and the Warriors expect her to be an impact player at both ends of the field. Sophomore Chloe McGarry is looking to take a big leap after a 47-point freshman season. Junior Lily Kelley is a new addition to the attacking unit this season.
The defense should remain a strength this season. Senior Hannah Higgins (Hobart William Smith-commit) is a rock at the back and the leader of the defensive group. With senior Audrey Campbell (Norwich-commit) back in the cage, the Foxboro defense has plenty of stability and experience to lean on.
“We are looking forward to the 2025 season as we have several returning players that have watched develop and step up this preseason,” said Foxboro coach Kathleen McCullough. “We hope to use some of our veterans as ‘utility players’ providing flexibility and versatility for the team. Our team is focused and ready for the challenges ahead.”
Franklin
2024 Record: 12-10 (Kelley-Rex champions)
2024 Finish: Reached Div. 1 Round of 32
Coach: Kristin Igoe Guarino
Franklin has dominated the Hockomock League for more than a decade. The Panthers have won 122 straight games in the league going into this season (a run that stretches back to 2012) and have won 14 straight league titles. The Panthers were in transition last spring, with a relatively inexperienced team learning the ropes, and many of the players seem poised for breakout seasons.
The attack returns all but one starter and the coordination and communication built last year should pay dividends. Seniors Julia Flynn and Sophia Sacchetti are quick, athletic midfielders who will be key players on the draw and getting the team into the attack. Senior Gabi Caonsigli is coming off her best scoring season and could be among the league leaders this year. Junior Vera Hansen is another impact player in midfield and Franklin will hope that sophomore midfielder Callie Joyce and freshman attacker Clara Blongstainer will step in and produce right away this season.
On defense, Franklin will be led by senior Maeve Grasso. Coming off a terrific season, Grasso will keep the team working as a unit at the back along with classmate Hannah Blongstainer. Senior Maisie Streeseman and freshman Codi Lai will battle for the starting goalie position and both should see plenty of minutes this season.
“We return a strong core group of players who have a year or two of playing experience under their belts,” said Franklin coach Kristin Igoe Guarino. “Last year was more of a developmental year for us, and now this season we are looking to make bigger strides and win some more out of league games. I am looking forward to another great season!”
King Philip
2024 Record: 15-7
2024 Finish: Reached Div. 1 Round of 16
Coach: Matt Custodio
New head coach Matt Custodio inherits a roster filled with experience to try and match last year’s 15-win season and berth in the Div. 1 Sweet Sixteen. With six seniors who are all committed to play at the next level, King Philip will go into the new season with hopes of not only being one of the league’s best teams but to end Franklin’s 12-year dominance of the Kelley-Rex division.
Defense is the foundation that the Warriors will build on. Senior Sierra King will be the leader at the back along with classmate Kaitlyn Parish, who returns in goal after being one of the best shot stoppers in the area last season. Juniors Katie McGann, Ashleigh Whitbread, and Lauren Obara will all step into the defensive unit and Custodio expects the defense to set the tone for the team and enable the talented attacking group to do its work on the other end of the field.
Senior Makenzie McDevitt is the team’s standout attacker and top returning scorer. The BU-commit has been one of the league’s most dynamic attackers for a couple of seasons and will be KP’s top creative force. Seniors Emily Heslin, Sammy Cloutier, and Abby MacDonald will all chip in with goals while giving KP additional cover in transition and in the defensive half of the field.
“This is a very special group of players and seniors who have high expectations of themselves,” Custodio said. “If we can do all the little things successfully, we know that our end goals will fall into place.”
Mansfield
2024 Record: 11-7
2024 Finish: Reached Div. 1 Round of 32
Coach: Katy Garvin
Former Mansfield star Katy Garvin had an impressive first season on the bench for the Hornets, as they won 11 games, tied for second in the Davenport division, and returned to the state tournament. With 11 seniors coming back this spring, Garvin is hoping the Hornets can quickly fill some of the holes from graduation and once again challenge Foxboro at the top of the league standings.
Senior Ella Palanza will be the lynchpin in midfield for the Hornets. The three-sport standout delivers plenty of energy and athleticism to contribute on both ends of the field, while also being the top returning scorer from last year. Sophomore Sadie Jablonski returned from injury late in basketball season so will be a big addition in midfield with classmate Sophie Clang. Senior Lily Niosi and sophomore Caitlin Niosi will lead the way in attack with juniors Maddie Boyle and Tessa Johnson giving the Hornets experience up front.
In defense, the Hornets will be steady with seniors Carys Colby, Paige Carrow, Vail Dubeau, and Lyla Nappa. Junior Lana DiSangro will return in goal after a breakout sophomore campaign.
Garvin said, “We have a great group returning this year and a roster full of competitors. We are aiming high this season and are excited for the tough matchups we will see in and out of the Hock. I am especially excited for our new group on attack and their ability to work off of each other to play team offense.”
North Attleboro
2024 Record: 7-12
2024 Finish: Missed postseason
Coach: Dawn Kafel-Forge
North Attleboro needed a few results to go its way last year to be in the state tournament picture under first-year coach Dawn Kafel-Forge. With just two players graduating from last season’s roster, the Rocketeers are hoping that the experience on the roster will help turn things around and make the playoffs a legitimate possibility.
Senior Ellie Regan will be the key to North’s success in attack. The team’s leading scorer last year, Regan had 55 goals and will hope that she can produce even more this spring. Sophomore Abby Wholey, Reese Hickey, and Addie Curran will try to build on promising rookie seasons and senior Sara Maciejewski gives North welcome leadership in the offense. Seniors Avery House, Lauren Inglese, and Bella McQuade give Big Red athleticism in the midfield and can make an impact on both ends of the field.
The Rocketeers will also lean on its seniors in defense, including goalie Brianna Burns, who had a breakout season between the pipes and emerged as one of the league’s most consistent shot stoppers. Seniors Grace Gouck, Carleigh Swenson, and Ava McDuff, and junior Grace Jordan provide a lot of stability in the defensive unit and that familiarity will help communication at the back.
Kafel-Forge said, “It’s a quick turnaround this year from preseason to our first game. We are pleased to see how the team is coming together. Our crew is focused, determined, and looking to improve our game week to week.”
Oliver Ames
2024 Record: 9-10
2024 Finish: Missed postseason
Coach: Fred Isleib
Oliver Ames narrowly missed out on a playoff spot last season, missing the tournament by just one game. The Tigers started the season well but had a difficult closing stretch and lost the final four games of the regular season (all against playoff teams, including league champs Franklin and Foxboro). After getting so close last spring, the goal this year is to take that next step.
The Tigers will need to replace some key players from last year’s roster, particularly four starting roles in midfield, but OA has 10 seniors coming back to form an experienced core that should be able to step up. Senior Deana Flaherty can fill in both in midfield and defense and, along with classmate Chloe Finch can give the attack a boost. Sophomores Kit Perron and Kyla Isleib impressed as freshmen and will be counted on to keep the attack firing.
Second-year coach Fred Isleib is excited for his defensive unit’s size and athleticism and the potential of sophomore goalie Olivia Magee, who is entering her second season as the starter and continues to improve each game.
“As a second-year coach, I feel like we are ahead of where we were a year ago,” Isleib said. “My message to the team, if we do three things it will be a successful season: Have fun, work hard, and compete.”
Sharon
2024 Record: 6-12
2024 Finish: Missed postseason
Coach: Aisling Lydeard
Sharon closed last season with a pair of non-league wins and the Eagles will hope they can carry some momentum into their first season in the Kelley-Rex division. Second-year coach Aisling Lydeard is counting on the experience built from last year to help push the Eagles forward.
In the midfield, senior Bailey Garte will be back to run the offense. A league all-star last season, Garte is a dynamic playmaker and will impact the game on both ends of the field. Joining Garte in the attack is a talented group of underclassmen. Sophomores Sarah Scappaticci, Lilian Bourgeois, and Ella Cummings are back after impressing in their rookie campaigns. Senior Serene Bien-Aime will be a key addition to the midfield, as she moves up from defense this season.
The defensive unit will be anchored by seniors Ava Jacobsen and Lauren McLoughlin, who both provide great leadership on the field. Sophomore Samantha Humphreys is back in goal and junior Fatima Houdroge will give the Eagles good depth in the cage.
Lydeard said, “We have a solid foundation as we head into the season and are focused on improving our draw control percentage and offensive opportunities, as well as refining our fast break defensive skills.”
Stoughton
2024 Record: 7-14
2024 Finish: Missed postseason
Coach: Alicen Flewelling
Stoughton made a big leap in its second season as a varsity program, winning seven games, including a pair of league victories, and the Black Knights want to build on that for even more success in year three. With seven returning seniors, Stoughton has some experience on its roster but will also have several young players getting their first taste of varsity action who will need to step into big roles right away.
Junior Casey Groppi will be the key for the Black Knights in attack. The St. Michael’s-commit spent most of last season in defense but will move back into midfield this spring and should see a big bump in her scoring stats. Seniors Lauren Mitchell and Madi Falcione will provide athleticism in midfield, while seniors Angie Berry and Ella Derby and sophomore Olivia Joumaa should contribute in attack. Senior Adalina Tucker will take over in goal in her first season on varsity and classmates Pamela Pereira, Lily Nourse, and Ruby Guglia and sophomore Jillian Falcione will provide cover in defense.
As expected from a still-young program, there are players who will be experiencing the sport at this level for the first time, including freshman Cailin McGowan, sophomore Morgan Derby, and juniors Faith Sekundaya and Mickaelle Pierre. Sophomore Julia Henein will make the jump from JV this season and Paige Enokian (attack) and Chloe Hannaford (defense) return as swing players to help Stoughton’s depth.
“Stoughton has been working hard at the start of this season to adjust to not having the six seniors from last season but we have a strong set of girls both new and returning to the sport!” said Stoughton coach Alicen Flewelling. “Going from zero varsity wins to six was a huge morale boost for our players and our program as a whole! We are looking forward to growing more as a team this year!”
Taunton
2024 Record: 0-17
2024 Finish: Missed postseason
Coach: Adilson Galvao
Taunton is coming off a difficult 2024 season. The Tigers were winless last year but, with all but four players returning for this spring, there is hope that they can turn it around and be more competitive this time around.
Offensively, Taunton will build around seniors Maddison Szala and Giovanna Guarino. Szala is the team’s top returning scorer after a 58-point season. The graduation of top scorer Cali Melo and transfer of Taryn Campbell will have an impact but senior Jayla Leonardo and junior Madison Cardoso give Taunton welcome dynamism and depth up front. Senior Caroline Vallarelli and junior Talia O’Leary will provide leadership and energy in the midfield. Senior Niyla Correia will boost the midfield, after moving up from defense.
At the back, sophomore Laila Brum will step into a key role this season and senior Savannah Sylvia returns from an injury to give the back line a big upgrade. Seniors Jaclyn Tokarz and Emily Lane complete a solid defensive group for the Tigers. Freshman Sydney Leavitt is the lone goalie returning from last year’s roster, after jumping on varsity as an eighth grader.
Taunton coach Adilson Galvao said, “With a strong core of returning starters and a senior class that raises the bar higher than ever, this season holds limitless potential. In my four years of coaching, this group has demonstrated the heart, commitment, and leadership that will propel us to new heights.”

Oliver Ames, 28 @ Mansfield, 72 – Final – Mansfield swept the shot put and the 600M and took the top two spots in the 2 Mile to earn a key win over Oliver Ames. Ben Fahy won the shot put with a big PR toss of 41’6 with Ramari Fernandez (PR – 40’1) and Will Smart (37’4.5″) rounding out the top three for the Hornets. In the 600M, Marco Germiniani ran away with the win followed by Matt Sullivan and Kyle Dickinson. Chamberlain Guthrie Jr. had another big night, winning two events: the 55M dash (6.80) and the long jump (21’2.5″), and also ran a strong second leg in the 4×200 to help that unit score a season-best time of 1:33.3. Joey Federline Jr. had a strong showing in the 2 Mile, crossing first in 10:43.72 with Sean Whittaker grabbing three points with a second place finish. For OA, Nolan Querzoli took a win in the 300M, Patrick Dunlap landed a victory in the 55M hurdles, and Landon Sarney crossed first in the 1 Mile race.

Oliver Ames, 55 @ Mansfield, 45 – Final – Down to the final events, Oliver Ames’ 4×400 relay team pulled out an three-second win to secure the win over Mansfield. The team of Bridget Hughes, Deanna Flaherty, Shelby Hodges, and Katie Sobieraj clocked in at 4:27.31 to take the win. Flaherty used a great final sprint in the 600M to take first overall in a very competitive race, Sobieraj also took first in the 100M, Braelyn Graham won the 1 Mile and added three more points with a second place finish in the 1000M, and Iole Apostoli added a win in the 2 Mile after claiming second in the 1 Mile. Grace Okocha placed in three events, highlighted by a win in the 300M, and Lavender Kozaka added a win in the long jump and second in the 55M dash.

Stoughton, 57 @ Foxboro, 43 – Final – Stoughton swept both relays to secure a win over Foxboro. The 4×200 team of Belleya Frank, Faith Sekundayo, Anna Nakawagi, and Senai Whigman raced to a first place finish while the 4×400 team featuring Lindsey Mitchell, Neissa Francois, Neala Garrels, and Julie Richardson also took first. Franck added individual wins in the high jump and 55M hurdles, Whigman added key points by winning the long jump and taking second in the 55M dash, Mitchell and Briana Lozano went 1-2 in the 1000M, and Richardson added a second place finish in the 600M. Savannah Marcy took second in the long jump for the Knights.

Milford @ Franklin – Franklin ‘s Ella Chandaria won both the 55M hurdles and the 55M dash to lead the charge in the Panthers’ win. Sarah Dumas won the long jump and the 600M while the Panthers also got wins from Meghan Griffith (1 Mile), Gwen Holland (1000M), Maddie Bruno (300M), Lily DeForge (shot put), and Cailyn Bruno (high jump). Milford’s Lauren Flanagan took first in the 2 Mile.

Milford, 52 @ North Attleboro, 25 – Final – Eight of Milford’s nine wins came via pinfall as the Hawks earned a tough win on the road over North Attleboro. Dylan Wright (106), Robby Lyons (126), Francesco Furnari (144), Aidan Baum (150), Eder Gomes (165), Kevin Coelho (175), Luke Donis (190), and Owen Matthews (215) secured pins for Milford and Derek Marcolini (113) added a 13-4 major decision. Canton, 45 @ Oliver Ames, 55 – Final – Oliver Ames earned eight points from four events to open the season with a close win over Canton. The Tigers took the top two spots in the high jump (Nolan Querzoli, Patrick Dunlap), the 55M dash (Daniel Nowakowski, Lu Etienne), the 2 Mile (Brody Lake, Oscar Feodoroff), and the 1 Mile (Landon Sarney, Feodoroff). Dunlap added a win in the 55M hurdles, Lake took first in the 1000M, and Querzoli added a second win in the 300M. Mo Arugollu earned eight points for Canton by winning the long jump and taking second in the 600M, which was won by teammate Parker Allen. Mark McDonough added a win in the shot put (37-00.00) and Dan Krasylnykov took second in the 300M and third in the 55M dash. Sam Vail added a second place finish in the 55M hurdles.
Mansfield, 86 @ Foxboro, 14 – Final – The Hornets took two of the top three spots in all 10 events and won both relays to open the season with an impressive performance and a win over Foxboro. Mansfield swept the shot put (Ben Fahy, Ramari Fernandez, Samuel Rieth), the 55M hurdles (Santino Marrese, Alex Radchouk, KJ Mahoney), the 55M dash (Myles Brown, Chamberlain Guthrie Jr., Sirius Li), and the 1 Mile (Talon Johnson, Joseph Federline Jr., Luke DuBeau). Guthrie Jr. also won the long jump (21-01.50) while Mansfield picked up other wins from Aldric Scott (high jump, 5-06.00), Colby Quersher (1000M, 2:51.91), Marco Geminiani (600M, 1:28.41) and Enaam Bhuiyan (300M, 38.83). Foxboro’s Timmy Chase won the 2 Mile in 11:07.44 while Cooper Lawson took second in both the high jump and the 600M.
Sharon, 75 @ Stoughton, 25 – Final – Elijah Wisdom started the season with a bang, winning three events to lead the Eagles past Stoughton. Wisdom took first in the long jump (20-11.75), the 55M dash (6.80), and the 300M (37.14). The Eagles swept four events: the 2 Mile (Matteo Lozano, Isaac Tsymberov, Riley Newbold), the 55M hurdles (Tobiah Stessman, Cole Feifer, Hillel Preil), the 55M dash (Wisdom, David Bondar, Preil), and the 1 Mile (Alexander Blumen, Tsymberov, Alex Pinnix). Kathrik Pisupati (2:43.97) won the 1000M and Zach Connors (1:36.82) crossed first in the 300M. Stoughton’s Joshua Udeh won the high jump and Ethan Jiminez took first in the shot put.
Attleboro, 82 @ Taunton, 18 – Final – Attleboro swept the top three spots in five events in a season-opening win over Taunton. The Bombardiers swept the long jump (Adrian Rivera, Matteo Bulato, Aidan Pantages), the 2 Mile (Owen Lacaillade, Camden Martin, David Fleury), the 55M hurdles (Max Crawford, Pantages, Josh Codella), the 600M (Austin Bowie, Jonathan Tracey, Jacob Blazek), and the 1 Mile (Lacaillade, Martin, Julian Veloz). Billy Badger added a win in the 1000M while Crawford secured a second win in the high jump. Alexander Susol (shot put) and Dmitrius Shearrion (55M dash, 300M) had wins for the Tigers.
Franklin, 65 @ North Attleboro, 35 – Final – Taking nine points from both the shot put and the 55M hurdles, and eight more from the long jump, Franklin took care of business in a win over North Attleboro. Jacob Bowser won the shot put with Cole Sidwell and Julian Rampino completing the sweep, and Quinten Hardt took first in the 55M hurdles followed by Jaret Schmidt and Peter Gubka. Aidan Thorne added a win in the long jump with Gubka taking second for eight more points. Hardt had another win in the high jump, Brad Morin won the 600M, and Andrew Scotland crossed first in the 1 Mile (5:02.25). Abraham Guir was a double-winner for the Rocketeers, taking first in the 55M dash (6.72) and the 300M (37.08) while Connor Peterson clocked in at 2:46.99 to win the 1000M.
King Philip, 30 @ Milford, 70 – Final – Milford’s Alolye Okhipo was a double-winner and the Hawks swept three other events to take down King Philip in the season opener. Okhipo won both the high jump and the 55M hurdles and Milford took the top three placements in the 55M dash (Yael Lopez De Victoria, Jarret Brown, Taylor Feliciano), the 300M (Ben Parson, Shawn Pierce, John Arruda), and the 1 Mile (Brendan Morin, Damian Chaplin, Andrew DiGiando). Andrew Fletcher (2 Mile) and Joseph Pezza (1000M) also had wins for the Scarlet Hawks. Sean Woods scored 11 points for the Warriors with a win in the long jump and second place finishes in the high jump and the 55M hurdles, while Nick Gallagher (shot put) and Luca Giardini (600M) also had wins for KP.

Canton, 47 @ Oliver Ames, 53 – Final – In the closest matchup of the night, Oliver Ames won both relays to score a close win over Canton. The Bulldogs led 47-43 going into the final two relays but OA took booth, including the clinching 4×400 relay by six seconds. OA’s 4×400 team of Deanna Flaherty, Kensie Graham, Bridget Hughes, and Braelyn Graham clinched the win after the 4×200 team of Grace Okocha, Lavender Kozaka, Julia Hansen, and Brie Antebi took a two-second win at 1:53. Okocha and Kozaka went 1-2 in the 55M dash to earn key points early, and Kozaka also earned key points by taking second in the long jump. Flaherty and Shelby Hodges took the top two spots in the 600M, Kensie Graham and Brynn Cushing were first and third, respectively, in the 1000M, Braelyn Graham took first in the 1 Mile (5:44.81), and Iole Apostoli and Madeline Stewart were the top two runners in the 2 Mile. Canton’s Kati Oliver and Chloe Dubuisson were both double winners with Oliver winning the long jump (16-08.00) and the 55M hurdles (9.89) while Dubuisson took first in the high jump (4-04.00), the shot put (27-04.00) and added three points with a second-place run in the 300M, which was won by Lianna Camille. Sally Hoban added key points in her first varsity meet, taking second in the high jump.
Mansfield, 58 @ Foxboro, 38 – Final – Buoyed by a sweep in the long jump and seven total first place finishes, Mansfield opened the season with a win over Foxboro. Chloe Guthrie had a strong showing with a pair of individual wins and was apart of the winning 4×200 relay team along with Abigail Scott, Olivia Barry, and Elyssa Buchanan, who won the 55M hurdles (9.37). Guthrie won the long jump (15-00.50) and the 55M dash (7.41). Ashley Kirley and Elsie Roberts completed the Hornet sweep of the long jump. Caitlin Garrahy (33-04.00 shot put), Norah Puleo (3:27.64 1000M), and Anna Moore (5:52.66 1 Mile) also won for Mansfield. Chloe Davies won the high jump (4-10) for Foxboro, Paige Boligan took first in the 2 Mile (14:54.84), and Caroline Bass won the 600M (1:46.36) and teamed up with Adrianna Alberts, Ella Campbell, and Maddy Luck to won the 4×400 (4:26.04).
Sharon, 26 @ Stoughton, 68 – Final – Six different Black Knights secured a win to help Stoughton open the season in style with a win over Sharon. Kirsten Alexson (55M hurdles, 10.00), Julie Richardson (600M, 1:50.71), Lindsey Mitchell (1000M, 3:27.06), Grace Weisenberger (shot put, 24-03.00), Belleya Franck (high jump, 4-10.00), and Sivannah Marcy (long jump, 16-01.25) each earned five points apiece for winning their respective events. Stoughton also won both the 4×400 (Briana Lozano, Mitchell, Neala Garrels, Lauradin) and the 4×200 (Richardson, Marcy, Franck, Senai Whigham). Sharon’s Nina Kyei-Aboagye won both the 300M (43.29) and the 55M dash (7.65) while Amaya Zibrak took first in the 2 Mile (15:15.33).
Attleboro, 55 @ Taunton, 45 – Final – A win in one of the relays helped Attleboro secure a win over Taunton in a tight meet. The Bombardiers took points from all but one individual event, including six wins to earn 30 points. All six wins came from a different Bombardier with S’Staaar Parham winning the high jump (4-06.00), Keren Aldana taking first in the shot put (30-06.25), Emilia Smith crossing first in the 1 Mile (11:58.87), Zenda Gjoni winning the 55M hurdles (10.15), Isla Thompson taking first in the 1000M (3:34.49), and Jordan Riley winning the 300M (47.21). Attleboro iced the win with a win in the 4×400 relay (Allie McNamara, Josilyn Lacaillade, Alexis Cincotta, and Natalie Adema). Taunton swept the 55M dash: Grace Inacio won in 7.79 followed by Neveah Young and Ava Uhl, Bella Coughlin won the long jump (14-06.50), Sydney Martin took first in the 600M (1:51.02), and Sarah Mendonca crossed first in the 1 Mile (6:07.86). Taunton’s 4×200 relay of Renee Leao, Larissa Cardoso, Inacio, and Young won in 1:55.60.
Franklin, 81.5 @ North Attleboro, 17.5 – Final – Franklin took first place in all but one event, sweeping three of them in a win over North Attleboro. The Panthers took the top three spots in the shot put (Lily Deforge, Elizabeth Hopkins, Darby Nicholson), the 55M hurdles (Sarah Dumas, Ella Chandaria, Cailyn Bruno), and the 600M (Sophia Cuneo, Allison Powderly, Callie Joyce). Dumas also won both the high jump and the long jump, Chandaria took first in the 55M dash (7.73) and the 300M (43.72), and Madison Bruno crossed first in the 1000M (3:17.66). Molly Galgoczy won the 2 Mile race for the Rocketeers in 12:19.50.
King Philip, 87 @ Milford, 13 – Final – King Philip scored over five points in each event and swept both relays on its way to a win over Milford. Alex D’Amadio earned 15 points on her own with three first place finishes, winning the long jump (16-10.75), the 55M dash (7.56), and the 300M (43.92). The Warriors also got wins from Rory Bresson (high jump, 4-04.00), Katherine O’Neil (shot put, 32-03.00), Cheyanne Kelley (2 Mile, 14:03.99), Sarah Glaser (55m hurdles, 9.72), Ella McManus (1000M, 3:36.02), Donelle Balunos (600M, 2:02.34), and Addison Burns (1 Mile, 6:05.60).

Boys Indoor Track
Oliver Ames, 52 @ Canton, 48 – Final – Oliver Ames took the top two spots in four events to secure a tight win over upset-minded Canton. Ryan Sarney picked up right where he left off from a dominating cross country season to take first overall in the 1000M, clocking in at a league-best 2:45.32 while Alex Callanan took second in 3:06.71. OA also went 1-2 in the 1 Mile (Aidan Dupill, 5:11.64 and Brendan Thomas, 5:11.71), the high jump (Nolan Querzoli, 5’2″ and William Sobieraj, 5’2″), and the shot put (Peter Andromalos, 37’5.5″ and Frederick Hakimdin 33’1.5″). Sobieraj also won the 55M hurdles in 9.92. For Canton, Luke Darling won the 600M in his indoor track debut, clocking in at 1:35.57 while Christian Hanlon took first in the 55M dash in 7.28.
Stoughton, 29 @ Mansfield, 71 – Final – Mansfield made a big statement in its first meet as a member of the Davenport division, sweeping three events and both relays while taking the top team in the league in two more events in a win over Stoughton. The Hornets took the top three spots in the 1 Mile, won by Marco Geminiani (5:00.84) followed by Sam Taylor and Collin Fine, swept the 1000M with Talon Johnson (2:54.11), Colby Quersher, and Sean Higgins going 1-2-3, respectively, and also swept the 2 Mile run as John Sylvain (11:23.60) led the pack, followed by Ben Dury and Sean Whittaker. Junior Evan Thevenot won the long jump with a league-best leap of 19’9.75″ while senior captain Grady Sullivan had the fastest time of all runners in the 300M at 1:28.16. Ayden Agbasi and Billy Gardner went 1-2 in the shot put for the Hornets. Mansfield also swept the relays with the 4×200 (Myles Brown, Evan Rawlings, Nolan Clark, Thevenot) finishing in 1:38 and the 4×400 (Tommy Giudicianni, Troy Penney, Johnson, Sullivan) recorded a league-best time of 3:41. Stoughton’s William Tinkham won the 55M hurdles with a league-best time of 8.27 and Matt Singletary won the high jump (5’10”).
Foxboro, 54 @ Sharon, 40 – Final – Anchored by a sweep in the shot put and wins in six other events, Foxboro got the season started with a win over Sharon. Joe Flanagan had the second best throw in the league in the shot put, leading a sweep with a toss of 44’7″ followed by teammates Harrison Keen and Nicholas Higgins. Daniel O’Malley was a double winner for the Warriors (high jump, 5’8″ and 300M, 37.60) while Chris Proulx (2 Mile, 10:56.94), Brayden Pace (1000M, 3:16.02), Stephen Haney (600M, 1:33.71), and Brooks Stone (1 Mile, 5:05.94) also had first place finishes for the Warriors. Sharon swept both relays and got a pair of wins from Elijah Wisdom (long jump, 18’11.5″ and 55M dash, 6.96) and one win from Alexander Gong (55M hurdles, 8.76).
Taunton, 31 @ Attleboro, 64 – Final – Attleboro swept the 55M hurdles, the 600M, and the long jump on its way to a win over Taunton. Adrian Rivera, who also won the 55M dash for the Bombardiers, led the sweep of the long jump (19’7.75″) followed by Joshua Codella and Jordan Rivera-Silva. Peter DelPozzo won the 55M hurdles (8.68) with Sean O’Hara-Ouellette and Ian Miller rounding out the top three, and Jacob Blazek won the 600M (1:31.67) followed by Sean Kaswale and Austin Bowie. O’Hara-Ouellette and Jake Stromfors also tied for first in the high jump for the Bombardiers. Taunton’s Brayden Cali won both the 1 Mile (5:09.19) and the high jump (5’6″), Sam Denis took first in the 2 Mile (10:48.65), Peter Moor won the shot put (40-02.50), and Andrew Cali clocked in at 2:54.08 for first in the 1000M.
North Attleboro, 36 @ Franklin, 64 – Final – Franklin’s depth proved to be key as the Panthers took two of the top three spots in eight individual events, including sweeps in the 2 Mile and the 600M, to take down North Attleboro. Jonathan Pink clocked in at 11:13.06 to win the 2 Mile, followed by Luke Paragona and Sean Giuliano, while Jake Vaccarezza won the 600M in 1:33.84 with Fraser Baird and Jake Lorenzo rounding out the top three. Franklin also got wins from Harry Gurney (55M hurdles, 9.24), Luke Sidwell (300M, 37.74), and Will Boozang (1 Mile, 5:01.03). North Attleboro’s Nathan Shultz continued his dominance in the winter, taking first in a pair of events: the high jump in a league-best 6-06.00 and the 55M dash in 6.76. The Rocketeers also got wins from Kyle Conroy (long jump, 18-04.75), Mark Etienvre (shot put, 50-04.00), and Connor Peterson (1000M, 2:48.29).
Milford, 36 @ King Philip, 59 – Final – Buoyed by a sweep in both the 55M hurdles and the high jump, along with six more individual wins, King Philip took care of business with a win over Milford. Luca Giardini (8.72) Kevin Smith, and Jack McKenna swept the 55M hurdles while Dylan Woods (5-10.00), Degen Granese, and Keagan Fletcher took the top three spots in the high jump for KP. Granese added two wins of his own in the long jump (19-09.25) and the shot put (36-11.50), Giardini added another win in the 1000M (3.01.38) while Pranav Srinivasan (600M, 1:41.68), Nathan Gebhard (300M, 38.99), and Noah Lerner (1 Mile, 5:19.37) each won. Milford’s Andrew Fletcher (2 Mile, 11:16.17) and Jarret Brown (55M dash, 7.06) each won for Milford.

Oliver Ames, 54 @ Canton, 38 – Final – Julia Maclaine won a pair of individual events and was apart of the winning 4×200 relay team to lead Oliver Ames to a win in the season opener. Maclaine clocked in at 45.03 to take first in the 300M and won the high jump at 4’8″, and then teamed up with Grace Okocha, Aubrey Thibault, and Catie Wilson to take the relay in 1:56.12. Okocha also won the 55M dash for the Tigers (7.88), Thibault won the long jump (15’7.5″), and Oliver Ames swept the 600M with Deanna Flaherty (2:00.16), Kensie Graham, Erin Reilly, and Brynn Cushing taking the top four spots. For Canton, Jayda Proffit (10.59) and Katherine Oliver went 1-2 in the 55M hurdles, Emma Massih won the shot put (28’2″) with Allie Wong taking third, and the Bulldogs’ 4×400 relay team of won by .27 seconds.
Stoughton, 45 @ Mansfield, 51 – Final – Trailing by four points going into the the relays, Mansfield won the 4×200 by less than a second and then the 4×800 by less than six tenths of a second to earn 10 points and pull out the win over Stoughton in a terrific back-and-forth battle. Rosie McIntyre, Taylor Palinski, Avery Hawthorne, and Brooke Penney clocked in at 4:37.59 — just ahead of Stoughton’s 4:38.57 — while the Hornets’ 4×400 relay team of Abigail Scott, Meghan Driscoll, Olivia Barry, and Chloe Guthrie won in a time of 1:52.39, just ahead of the Black Knights at 1:52.95. Guthrie also won the long jump (31-09.00), Anna Moore was first in the 2 Mile (12:50.02), and Elyssa Buchanan won the 55M hurdles (9.34). Stoughton’s Shayla Ford won a pair of events, first in both the 300M (44.84) and the 55M dash (7.78), Julie Richardson had a dominate win in the 600M (1:51.6), Gabriele Julien won the high jump (4-10.00), Elaine McCarty won the 1000M (3:40.17), and Lily Branco crossed first in the 1 Mile (6:41.84).
Foxboro, 62 @ Sharon, 35 – Final – Foxboro won both relays and took first in seven more events to open the season with a big win over Sharon. The Warriors picked up wins from Chloe Davies (high jump, 4-10.00), Dalia Fitzgerald (long jump, 14-06.50), Erin Haney (shot put, 22-11.50), Aine Fitzpatrick (2 Mile, 13:36.40), Casey Dahl (1000M, 3:35.75), Ella Campbell (300M, 46.77) and Brooke Davies (1 Mile, 6:20.62). Sharon’s Maude Kilmer won two events, taking first in the 55M hurdles (9.20) and the 55M dash (7.60), while Eva Olszewski won the 600M in 1:53.91 for the Eagles.
Taunton, 46 @ Attleboro, 54 – Final – Down to the relays, Attleboro secured the win by taking the 4×200 relay in 2:00.19 to finish off a win over Taunton. The team of Zenda Gjoni, Gabriela Sprovieri, Lindsey Anastasia, and Jessica Jennison were the winning relay team for the Bombardiers. The Bombardiers also got key points from a sweep in the shot put, led by Kimberley Packard-Flores’ winning throw of 26-02.00 with Arianna Amaral and Ella Blaisdell taking second and third, respectively. Gjoni added a win in the 55M hurdles (10.64), Anastasia took first in the 55M dash (8.08), Rebecca Rainey won the high jump (4-08.00), Emilia Smith took first in the 2 Mile (12:56.10), and Alexis Cincotta crossed first in the 600M (1:57.74). Taunton picked up wins from Isabella Leiete (long jump, 13-10.75), Braelyn Nichols (1000M, 3:40.96), Ava Uhl (300M, 46.64), and Emersym DePonte (1 Mile, 5:46.44).
North Attleboro, 22 @ Franklin, 77 – Final – Franklin opened the season with a dominant showing, winning eight events, sweeping two of them and scoring in all of them, while taking both relays to beat North Attleboro. Lily DeForge, who set the school record in the shot put, won the event in 35-01.50 followed by Elizabeth Hopkins and Darby Nicholson while Sarah Dumas (9.01, Barra Pfluke, and Cailyn Bruno swept the 55M hurdles. Dumas also won the 55M hurdles (9.01) and other winners for the Panthers were Abigail Griffith (high jump, 5-00.00), Mackenzie Mann (2 Mile, 14:04.79), Sophia Cuneo (55M dash, 7.94 and 300M, 45.50), and Ella McLaughlin (600M, 1:54.14). North’s Julia Simpson (1000M, 3:34.51) and Katie Galcoczy (1 Mile, 6:07.87) each won for the Rocketeers.
Milford, 41 @ King Philip, 59 – Final – King Philip swept both the long jump and the 1000M race to collect key points to earn a win over Milford in the season opener. Alex D’Amadio (15-11.50), Ali Gill, and Madeline Hill were the top three finishers for the Warriors in the long jump while Olivia Archambault (3:42.35), Ella Lussier, and Cheyanne Kelley went 1-2-3 in the 1000M. KP also picked up wins from Gill in the 300M (43.65), D’Amadio in the high jump (5-10.00), Katherine O’Neil in the shot put (32-02.00), and Madeline Hill in the 55M hurdles (9.98). Milford had four individual winners: Sydney Kalil (2 Mile, 12:01.83), Kiyanni Simas (55M dash, 7.48), Kay Wheelock (600M, 2:02.09), and Carly Haley (1 Mile, 6:24.46).
