Attleboro, 1 @ Franklin, 0 – Final Attleboro junior Will Halben scored the game-winner with 10 minutes to play, handing the Bombardiers their second win in three games, and three straight games with at least a point. After a scoreless first half, sophomore Michael Russo set Halben up for the late winner.

King Philip, 0 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalIn a battle of two heavyweights, Mansfield edged King Philip to stay within one point of Oliver Ames in the hunt for the Kelley-Rex title. Senior Nick Wisnieski headed in a corner kick from Luke Savoie in the 56th minute for the lone tally. Nick Ferraz made five saves in net for Hornets.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Milford, 2 – FinalNorth Attleboro scored a pair of goals in the second half and held off a late push from the hosts to clinch its first-ever Davenport title, and first league title since 2007. Big Red took the lead in the 12th minute as Ryan Pasquel’s service was flicked by Gabe Pinhancos and then headed in by Zach Matracia. North made it 2-0 just eight minutes into the second half when Pinhancos converted at the near post on a service from Noah Barney. Milford cut the deficit to one 12 minutes later when Andre Oliveira got free and scored. But North responded five minutes later when Pinhancos volleyed in a header from Barney. Oliveira scored again on a rebound in the 76th minute.

Taunton, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 7 – FinalOliver Ames celebrated senior night with seven goals from seven different seniors. OA went up 1-0 before Taunton tied it; OA extended its lead to 4-1 before Taunton found the back of the net again and then the hosts scored three straight. Nathaniel Cardoza scored once and had three assists in the win. James Gillespie, Michael Nikiciuk, Jack Galas, Mason Galbato, Brandin Osborne and Nick Zwerle each scored once. Chris Lawrence added three assists and Matthew Alvarado had one helper.

Stoughton, 2 @ Sharon, 3 – FinalSharon overcame an early deficit and then broke a 2-2 game with a late goal to earn two points against Stoughton. Stoughton senior Tyler Melo scored on a free kick from distance but Sharon’s Tyler Goldstein nodded in a throw from Tyler Hippler in the 33rd minute to tie it. Andy Reyes-Jones put the Eagles ahead in the 36th minute but Stoughton’s Terry Lapomarede knotted the score in the 65th minute. Goldstein grabbed his second, and the game-winner, heading in a free kick from sophomore Michael Baur in the 70th minute.

Girls Soccer
Franklin, 3 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalMolly Duncan scored five minutes into the game off an Anna Balkus assist to put the Panthers ahead early. In the second half, Miranda Smith scored off a Duncan assist just two minutes after the restart and Calen Frongillo wrapped up the scoring from Emily Mastaj with 11 minutes to play. Franklin coach Tom Geysen said that all of the Panthers stepped up and “played really well,” despite the blustery conditions.

Foxboro, 1 @ Canton, 4 – FinalCanton scored three times in the second half to break open a tie game and earn the two points. Olivia Rodman continued her standout freshman season with a hat trick for the Bulldogs and Sarah Connolly added a 30-yard free kick in the win. Foxboro’s goal was scored by Jordyn Collins and Foxboro coach Katie Stalcup said her team struggled to get into its typical passing game in the wind.

Milford, 1 @ North Attleboro, 7 – Final North put in a stellar performance and Haley Guertin reached another career milestone in a big win. Guertin scored the game’s third goal for her 100th career point, making her only the second Rocketeers player to ever reach that mark. Haley Ferrin had a hat trick and Ashlyn Gaulin had a brace for North, while Rachel Labonte added the seventh. Gaulin added three assists, Leah Jette had two and Aine Mendonca and Guertin each had one apiece. Emma Noreck picked up the win in goal and North coach Bill Wallace said that Britta MacDonald and Brie Wescott “played inspired soccer.” Madeline Boyle scored the lone Milford goal.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalAbigail Reardon and Anna Tempestoso each scored a pair of goals for OA in the win. Sophia Cox recorded a pair of assists and Emily Freeman had one.

Sharon, 0 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalStoughton coach Tara Daniels said that Gaby Diaz, Victoria Fallon, Sarina Hutchinson, and Nikki Anderson played well defensively to limit the Sharon strikers and goalie Emma Harrington earned the clean sheet. Daniels said, “Great game played by all.”

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalOliver Ames senior Thomas McCormick was in a giving mood on Thursday night, registering a pair of assists to pace the Tigers to a win on the road. McCormick set up junior Nathaniel Cardoza in the first half for the game-winning goal. Junior Matt Campbell added an insurance goal early in the second half off another assist from Cardoza.

Sharon, 5 @ Milford, 2 – Final Each team had a first half lead but the squads headed into halftime tied 2-2. Sharon went on to score three goals in the second half to come away with the two points. Andrew Reyes-Jones opened the scoring in the first minute to give Sharon the lead before Marcello Panno tied it on an assist from Pedro Sampaio. Sampaio put Milford ahead on an assist from Joey Madden but Shalin Patel tied the game off a corner kick from Michael Baur. In the second half, Ben Stamm scored two straight games, on assists from Jeffery Gao and Baur. Jake Teven capped the scoring on an assist from Spencer Hall. Milford head coach Brian Edwards said Nuno Mestre played well on defense.

Girls Soccer

North Attleboro, 2 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalRiley Collins opened the scoring for Foxboro off an assist by Hailey Maling. Haley Guertin equalized for North before halftime on an assist from Haley Ferrin. Ashlyn Gaulin then scored the game-winner in the second half off an assist from sister Emma Gaulin to give the Rocketeers the two points. North head coach Bill Wallace said Rachel LaBonte, Emily Chiasson and Aine Mendonca played well while Nina Beauvais made a couple of great saves in net.

King Philip, 1 @ Franklin, 1 – FinalRachel Hogan scored the lone goal for the Warriors and Nadia Havens scored for the Panthers on an assist by Calen Frongillo.

Mansfield, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalHannah Reiter scored off a Emily Vigeant free kick early in the second half. Lauren Wright answered for the Tigers off an assist by Emily Freeman.

King Philip, 3 @ Westwood, 0 – FinalKing Philip closed the regular season with a sweep on the road, winning 25-18, 25-19, 25-17 to finish the regular season 18-2. Sydney Phillips had 14 kills, Emma Lopez added six kills and Amanda Loewen chipped in with six digs.

Oliver Ames, 3 vs. Brockton, 0 – FinalOliver Ames qualified for the state tournament with a 25-11, 25-21, 25-21 win over the Boxers. Jackie Kandar four kills and two blocks, Bridget McCarthy finished with 27 assists and two aces, Emma Petrillo had a team-high nine kills and three aces and Kayla Raymond (three blocks) and Maya Fetcho (two blocks) had eight kills apiece.

Mansfield, 2 @ Franklin, 0 – FinalMansfield’s Jed Tolbert notched his sixth shutout of the season and the Hornets cashed in twice in the second half to beat Franklin. Sam Hyland headed home a corner kick from Sean Lanzillo in the 49th minute for the game-winner. Cullin Anastasia doubled the lead in the 73rd minute, finishing off a direct kick from Lanzillo.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalNorth Attleboro sophomore Justin Renehan scored his first career goal with 11 minutes to go in the game to put the Rocketeers ahead but Stoughton found the equalizer with just over two minutes to go. Stoughton sophomore Fabio Ponce De Leon scored the tying goal after a service into the box from a free kick passed by Marco Antunes. Shawn Watters had four big saves for the Rocketeers.

Girls Soccer
Oliver Ames, 4 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalKiana Lozzi scored a pair of goals as Oliver Ames improved to 12-0-3 on the season. Lauren Wright and Jess Robarge each added a goal while Zoe Chazan, Emily Freeman and Jackie Mills each had an assist.

Foxboro, 4 @ Milford, 2 – FinalKristen Franzini and Gabbie Riley each scored for Milford.

Franklin, 1 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalFranklin’s Molly Duncan scored early in the second half off of an assist from Halle Atkinson to put the Panthers up but Mansfield found the equalizer in the final 10 minutes. Amanda Mangano converted with just eight minutes to go to keep the Hornets undefeated (13-0-2).

Stoughton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – FinalFour players recorded two points in North Attleboro’s win at home over Stoughton. Haley Ferrin scored a pair of goals – “They were beautiful goals,” said North coach Bill Wallace – while Ashlyn Gaulin, Kayla Pasquel and Haley Guertin each scored once and had an assist. Britta MacDonald and Kenzie Rosenberg also had an assist for the Rocketeers. Stoughton head coach Tara Daniels said Gabby Diaz “played tough in the back field.” for the Black Knights.

Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final King Philip freshman Avery Snead netted the game winner in the 32nd minute of the game as the Warriors picked up the shutout win at home. “It was a rocket,” KP head coach Gary Pichel said of Snead’s goal. Julian Massarone doubled the lead in the 47th minute, converting a nice pass from Chloe Layne inside the area. Maddie Smith added an insurance goal just three minutes later in the 50th minute, converting a cross from Layne.

Volleyball
Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames defended home court with a 25-18, 25-16, 25-18 sweep of Attleboro. OA senior Bridget McCarthy tallied 22 assists and three aces and senior libero Alyssa Gavin added 12 digs and two aces. Caroline Cavanaugh had four kills and “played aggressive on the net” according to head coach Chelsea Correia.

Canton, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalCanton picked up the sweep on the road at Sharon; “Everyone contributed to the win tonight,” Canton head coach Pat Cawley said. Nicole Poole led Canton with 16 assists, six kills and two aces. Emma Murphy added seven kills, three blocks and six aces. Sofia Connor, Malia Claiborne and Kehla Minkin all played good defense while Emma Gobbi played well at the net for Canton.

Milford, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final

Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalFranklin used the energy of senior night to sweep Mansfield, 25-20, 25-21, 25-20. “It was a strong performance by the entire team,” Franklin head coach Kate Horsmann said. Senior Erin Skidmore had 14 kills and 11 digs to lead the Panthers while Meaghan Maguire had six kills and three blocks, Lauren McGrath had 22 assists, two aces and a kill and Maddie Kuzio finished with 22 digs and a pair of aces. For Mansfield, Jess Haradon had 20 digs, Meg Hill had 10 kills and Emily Kleber had six kills.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final

King Philip, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalKing Philip picked up the 25-23, 25-10, 25-20 sweep on the road. Sydney Phillips led KP with 15 kills and 14 service points while Kat Kmetz had four kills, three digs and 13 service points, Liv Balduf chipped in with five kills and 11 service points and Amanda Loewen had six digs and eight service points.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final Kayla Lozzi netted a pair of goals while Kendall Clifford found of the back of the cage once to pace OA. Katie Vamosi made six saves in net to preserve the shutout for the Tigers.
