Katie Garvin, Bryn Anderson, Sydney Mulkern, Cassidy McMahon, and Sarah Sacco each tallied goals for the Hornets. Steph Kemp had a pair of assists, while Emily Viegant, Cathryn Cooney, and Anderson each had one assist. Vigeant and her center back partner Mikaela Maughn led the way for the Mansfield defense, which held onto a clean sheet.

#7 Canton, 1 @ #2 Somerset-Berkley, 3 – Final

#13 Franklin, 3 @ #5 Plymouth North, 2 – Final Franklin scored the first three goals of the game and then held off a comeback attempt from Plymouth North to earn the win on the road. The Panthers seized the lead at the 10th minute when Regan Paterson scored off an assist from Amanda Lewandowski. Sara Carney made it 2-0 just over a minute before halftime with Cassi Ronan and Paterson earning assists. Franklin added to its lead 10 minutes into the second half when Carney set up Lewandowski to make it 3-0. Plymouth North got on the board just two minutes later, and made it a one-goal game with 10 minutes to play but Christina Luccini didn’t allow the hosts to tie the game. Franklin advances to the semifinal to face top seed Walpole on Thursday at Taunton High.

#9 King Philip, 0 @ #1 Newton North, 3 – FinalKing Philip saw its 2018 campaign come to a close at the hands of top-seeded Newton North, falling 3-0 (10-25, 9-25, 19-25). Catherine Waldeck and Nicole Coughlan (two blocks) each recorded four kills while Shayla Weitzman and Lily Carlow (ace) each recorded six digs.

#1 Canton, 3 vs. #8 Holliston, 0 – FinalCanton shined defensively and got contributions from a handful of players at the net to open the state tournament in style with a 3-0 win (25-9, 25-11, 25-16). “We played a strong match from start to finish,” said Canton head coach Pat Cawley. The offense was spread around to all the hitters with Taylor Harris leading the way with 10 kills. Erin Devine, Liz Bickett, Theresa O’Brien and Rose Hazam all played well. The strong defensive play was anchored by Megan McDonough, Julia Minichiello and Olivia Chinsen. Nicole Brown ran the offense with precision, with 24 assists, 10 digs, four kills, and two aces. Top-seeded Canton advances to the D2 Central Semifinal to play #5 Medway.

Mansfield, 0 vs. Natick, 0 – FinalLauren Whitman made three saves on Natick breakaways in the first half and combined with Caty DeMassi to record the Hornets’ 13th clean sheet of the season.

King Philip, 2 vs. Walpole, 0 – FinalAvery Snead scored once in each half to give KP a win in the regular season finale. Both goals were assisted by Ally Stanton, with Chloe Layne also getting credit for an assist on the second half goal. Taylor Butler made six saves to keep the clean sheet and the Warriors defense had another good night to keep the Rebels off the board.

Liz Bickett and Erin Devine controlled the middle with 17 kills, Taylor Harris had 11 kills and 11 digs, Megan McDonough was solid on defense with 17 digs, and Nicole Brown continued to run the court with 25 assists, one kill, and an ace.

Alex Moulson was also on the board for the Rocketeers, who got a team-record 10th shutout from goalie Emma Noreck. Morgan Silver, Bri Westcott, Sam Hawkins, Lydia Hershey, Liz Smahi and Olivia Bishop all had strong games defensively in front of Noreck.

The Black Knights thought they had the equalizer in the final minute but the goal was waved off for offside. Stoughton coach Tara Daniels said Nicole Weir had an outstanding game defensively for the Black Knights.

Meghan MacDonald (from Dana Truini) opened the scoring just over a minute into the game and then set up Abby Nixon five minutes later to go up 2-0. In the second half, Nicole Connor and Alli Meehan set each other up three minutes apart to increase the lead to 4-0. Claire Lawlor capped the scoring with 10 minutes to play on a feed from MacDonald.

Megan McDonough was amazing on defense with 22 digs and Nicole Brown continued her strong season with 25 assists and 10 digs.

Foxboro, 2 @ Sharon, 2 – FinalSharon scored first and last, the final tally in the final five minutes to earn a draw with visiting Foxboro. Junior Michael Baur opened the scoring on a corner kick to put the Eagles up 1-0. Foxboro tied things up with under two minutes to go in the first half when Dylan Barreira finished off a service from Brian Gardner. Gardner put Foxboro ahead in the second half with his first career goal, getting on the end of a service from Joe Cusack. Baur brought the Eagles level with a penalty kick in the 76th minute.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalAfter a scoreless first half, Franklin scored a pair of goals early in the second half to earn a victory over visiting Oliver Ames. Tim Duval opened the scoring for the Panthers off an assist from Nitin Chaudhury. Before the 50th minute, the Panthers added to their lead when Nick Barry set up Donny Tappin to make it 2-0.

Mansfield, 1 @ King Philip, 0 – FinalMansfield grabbed the lead late in the first half and fended off the Warriors the rest of the way to grab two points on the road. Freshman Dylan Buchanan headed in a corner kick from Luke Savoie in the 32nd minute for the game-winner. Cam Bovey made eight saves for the Hornets to record the shutout.

Stoughton, 1 @ Milford, 9 – FinalMilford junior Walisson de Oliveira scored three goals in the first half as the Hawks picked up a big win at home. de Oliveira finished with four goals and an assist as Milford assumed a 4-0 lead at half. Anthony Salvador and Omar Lema each had a goal and an assist, and Lucas Da Silva and Pedro Da Silva each scored once for Milford. Leo Coelho, Jordan Borges, and Tiago Carvalho all had one assist. Stoughton’s Ted Lucas scored his second goal of the season, heading in a corner from John Neves.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Canton, 1 – FinalCanton scored less than a minute into the contest but North Attleboro was able to pull even before the break, and that’s how the game finished. After the Bulldogs seized a 1-0 lead in the first minute, North Attleboro’s Ashlyn Gaulin scored in the 19th minute off an assist from Kayla Pasqual to level the score. North Attleboro head coach Bill Wallace said Haley Ferrin, Lydia Santos, Bri Westcott and Sam Hawkins played well in the middle for Big Red.

Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 7 – FinalFoxboro earned a big win at home and clinched the Davenport division title outright, the program’s first Hock championships since 1993. Lizzy Davis had a goal (assisted by Kailee McCabe) and two assists, setting up Jordyn Collins twice as Foxboro rolled at home. Collins also had an assist, setting up Kenzi Fraser. Kailee McCabe, Katelyn Mollica, and Yara Fawaz all scored once for Foxboro.

Franklin, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalOliver Ames took a 1-0 lead late in the first half but Franklin equalized early in the second half to help the Panthers grab a point on the road. Daniella Ferrini put OA ahead in the 38th minute but Sam Powderly tied things up in the 44th minute on an assist from Anna Balkus. Bre Atwood had 10 saves in net for the Panthers while Emily Meyers and Emma O’Donnell both had strong games in net for the Tigers.

Taunton, 1 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalTaunton scored just seconds into the game and held on the rest of the way to earn the win and punch its ticket to the postseason. Alana Tavares scored 22 seconds into the game on an assist from Cierra Bartel for the lone goal of the game. Taunton coach Liz Hathaway said Jocelyn Pagliuca, Jillian Pagliuca, and Lauren Torres all had strong games and goalie Emma Sheehan made 11 saves for the shutout.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalFranklin raced out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back against visiting Oliver Ames. Regan Paterson (from Ashley Reutlinger) opened the scoring in the 7th minute, Amanda Lewandowski (from Cassi Ronan) made it 2-0 in the 11th minute, and Victoria Quinn (from Lewandowski) scored in the 18th minute for the 3-0 lead. Ronan (from Lewandowski) made it 4-0 midway through the second half. Georgia Costello got the Tigers on the board on an assists from Kayla Lozzi. Anna Jardine had eight saves for the Panthers while Kara Orstrander made 10 saves for the Tigers.

After a good hustle play from Brittani Paul, Haley Nelson put a shot on goal and Allie Howe knocked in the rebound to put Stoughton up 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Milford’s Tatiana Martinez found classmate Kathryn Swineford open in front for the tying goal.

The Warriors took the lead in the 18th minute when Claire Lawler found the back of the cage on a pass from Meghan MacDonald. Attleboro won the first two sets but Taunton rallied to tie it 2-2 before the Bombardiers prevailed in the fifth set. Ana Leonardo had 13 assists, six kills, and four aces, Amanda Kadisveskis added seven kills, five blocks, three aces, and three assists, and Chelsea Calcagni finished with eight kills and a pair of aces for the Bombardiers.

Canton, 1 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalAfter falling behind 1-0, the Rocketeers rattled off three straight wins to stun the Bulldogs, 3-1 (22-25, 27-25, 26-24, 25-23). Hayley Gaskin paced the North Attleboro offense while 41 assists with Tatiana Sotelo (22 kills) and Kylie Melanson (18 kills) leading the charge at the net. For Canton, Erin Devine had 10 kills and five blocks, and Nicole brown finished with 28 assists, 20 digs, and four kills.

After going up 1-0 on a goal from Michael Baur (assisted by Brian Higgins) but Canton leveled before the break behind a goal from Paul Corcoran. Sharon took the lead again when Antonio El-Khoury finished off a cross from Baur. The Eagles added a key insurance goal on an unassisted goal from Higgins. Canton’s Avery Minkin scored to make it 3-2.

Morgan McCabe and Elisa Diletizia each scored twice for the Bulldogs, who scored the first three and the last three goals of the game to get the win. Canton, 3 @ Notre Dame Academy, 2 – Final Despite falling behind 2-1, Canton picked up two straight wins to earn a 3-2 (19-25, 25-15, 20-25, 25-11, 15-8) decision on the road at Notre Dame Academy. “The entire team stayed strong throughout,” said Canton head coach Pat Cawley. Taylor Harris has a great night with 22 kills, 18 digs, a block and two aces, and Erin Devine added seven kills and eight blocks. Theresa O’Brien chipped in on both sides of the ball with nine kills and 18 digs while Nicole Brown finished with 36 assists, six kills, and 27 digs. Cawley said Megan McDonough and Julia Minichiello were awesome on defense, combining for 37 digs and seven aces.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Canton, 2 – FinalCanton scored a pair of goals in the opening 10 minutes but Oliver Ames responded with a pair of second half goals to earn a point on the road. Senior Griffin Roach scored a pair of early goals to put the hosts ahead, a lead that Canton took into halftime. But Oliver Ames struck for a pair of goals inside a five minute span to level the scoring. Sophomore Kevin Louhis brought the visitors within one on an assist from sophomore Colin Milliken in the 59th minute, and two minutes later, Milliken tied the game off a feed from Haendel Louhis.

Taunton, 1 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalStoughton junior Mason Eschleman scored his first career goal in the final five minutes to hepl the Black Knights earn a point against visiting Taunton. Eschleman finished off a centering pass from John Ortiz with just three minutes to play to bring Stoughton level. Taunton took the lead in the 10th minute when Mateusz Hagemajer converted a pass from Dylan Kullas. Stoughton sophomore Nolan Gerome made 22 saves in net while Taunton keeper Nolan Melo made 13 stops.

Girls Soccer
Canton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalOliver Ames used a first half goal to earn a 1-0 win over visiting Canton, clinching a spot in the state tournament. Daniella Ferrini scored off a rebound of Erin Holmberg’s shot to put the Tigers ahead. Emma O’Donnell recorded the shutout in net for Oliver Ames.

Stoughton, 1 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalAlex Wapenski scored a pair of goals to help the Tigers edge Stoughton. Stoughton’s goal was scored by Cintia Khouzami, assisted by Mackenzie Manning. Nicole Weir and Nikki Anderson both had strong games on defense for the Knights.

Field Hockey
Attleboro, 6 @ Milford, 0 – FinalAttleboro went on the road and recorded a convincing victory, beating Milford 6-0. Alex Compton paced the Bombardiers’ offense, netting a hat trick while Anna Beck, Hannah Webster, and Takara Keele each scored once in the win.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Canton, 1 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery from the game – Maggie Connolly followed up a Meg Aldrich shot that OA goalie Kara Ostrander saved and knocked in the rebound to lift Canton to the victory. The Bulldogs created a number of chances to try and put the game away in the second half but Ostrander made a series of saves to keep the Tigers in it. Sophomore Riley O’Connor earned the shutout for Canton.

King Philip, 0 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalFoxboro senior Sophia Lowe scored late in the first half as the host Warriors handed King Philip its first loss of the season. Lowe converted with 4:15 left in the first half to give Foxboro the lead. King Philip had over 20 shots on goal but Foxboro keeper Julia Carangelo had a strong game, recording the shutout.

Franklin, 7 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalFranklin raced out to a 4-0 lead at halftime and never looked back in a win against Sharon. Cassi Ronan and Stephanie Bell each scored a pair of goals to pace the Panthers’ offense, Amanda Lewandowski and Victoria Quinn each had a goal and an assist in the win, and Olivia Rondeau (first career goal) and Katie O’Rourke (assist) each had one point apiece.

Mansfield, 4 @ North Attleboro, 1 – Final

Taunton, 2 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalAfter the majority of the game went without any scoring, Taunton tacked on two goals late in the second half to grab two points on the road in a win over Stoughton. Kathryn Robinson (assisted by Jillian Pagliuca) and Cierra Bartel (assisted by Kennedy Thielker) each scored once for the Tigers.

Attleboro, 0 @ Milford, 3 – Final

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCanton defended home court with a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-15, 25-17) of visiting Oliver Ames. Taylor Harris had eight kills, one block, and 13 digs, Olivia Chinsen had a solid night with two aces, three kills, and 10 digs, and Erin Devine and Bailey Shea both had solid games at the net, combining for seven blocks and eight kills. Nicole Brown continued to run the court with 17 assists and five kills for the Bulldogs. Oliver Ames’ Jordan Bosse had 12 kills, eight digs and three aces, Sadie Homer finished with 32 dig, and Allie Kemp added 24 assists.

King Philip, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – FinalKing Philip’s Catherine Waldeck and Nicole Coughlan had strong performances at the net while Jessie Kornfeld and Kristen Masse were strong at the service line, helping the visiting Warriors knock off Foxboro (25-15, 25-5, 25-22). Coughlan had a team-high 12 kills while Waldeck added nine to pace the offense. Kornfeld finished with 10 service points, including four aces while Masse had 11 service points, one ace, and three kills.

Franklin, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – Final

Mansfield, 2 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalAfter splitting the first four sets, North Attleboro earned the win with a 15-5 win in the fifth set, taking the match 3-2 (25-19, 19-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-5). For Mansfield, Greenly Kelly had 11 kills and three blocks and Sam Sternberg added 19 digs and 15 service points.

Taunton, 0 @ Stoughton, 3 – FinalStoughton swept Taunton (25-22, 25-23, 25-16) in a close match, earning its ninth win of the season and clinching a spot in the state tournament. The Black Knights got contributions from the entire line up with Amaya Morris having a strong two-way game, recording six kills and five blocks.

Sharon, 19 @ Foxboro, 43 – FinalSharon’s Alex Starovoytov edged Foxboro’s Ryan Proulx for first place, and the Eagles had six of the top seven finishes in a big win over the Warriors. Starovoytov beat Proulx by just one second, both runners nearly a minute ahead of the rest of the pack. Sharon’s Jacob Dubin rounded out the top three.

KP’s Mike Griffin won the race, over 20 seconds ahead of the rest of the pack. KP’s Mike Nordberg was second overall while Jason Windvogel, Patrick Heavey, and Paxton Howard were Mansfield’s top three runners.

Sharon had the next four runners cross the finish line but Jill Finn’s eighth place finish help secure the win.

Sharon, 154 @ Canton, 149 – FinalCanton picked up an important win over division rival Sharon with junior Chris Lavoie leading the way. Lavoie carded a team-low round of 34 to pace the Bulldogs. Tommy Dimock (37) and Thomas Singleton (38) both had sub-40 rounds while Conor Hunter carded an even 40 for Canton. Sharon’s Corey Carter had one of the best rounds of any Hock golfers this season, earning match medalist honors with a 33. Ethan Skelly was also impressive, shooting a 34 for the Eagles.

Foxboro, 177 @ Franklin, 166 – FinalFranklin’s Matt D’Errico earned match medalist honors after shooting a 40. Jack Paterson (41), Jake Blaney (42), and Gerard Collins (43) all scored for the Panthers while junior Matt Lathrop led the Warriors with a 41.

Mansfield, 158 @ Stoughton, 179 – FinalMansfield sophomore Jason See carded a round of 38 to earn match medalist honors and pace the Hornets to a win on the road against Stoughton. Ryan Dow, Ava Haggis and Joe Gormley all chipped in with a 40 for Mansfield. Stoughton was led by Luke Bainton with a 40 and Josh Hough with a 43.

Milford, 8 @ Nipmuc, 1 – Final (Match Play)

Oliver Ames, 160 @ Taunton, 191 – FinalOliver Ames senior Nolan Donze shot a 2-under par round of 34 to lead the Tigers to a win. Ryan Bock added a 40, Tate Hadges finished with a 42, and Brad Powers added a 44 for the Tigers.

Canton, 3 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalTaunton took a 1-0 lead into half and had a 2-1 lead in the second half but Canton scored two straight goals to grab two points on the road. Caitlin Connors gave the Tigers the lead on an assist from Rosemary McGrath. After Canton tied it, Alana Tavares put Taunton back in front on an assist from Hannah Blackwell. Emma Sheehan had 10 saves in net for Taunton.

Foxboro, 1 @ Franklin, 1 – FinalFranklin’s Ashley Reutlinger scored at 1:11 of the second half to help the Panthers earn a tie against Foxboro. Reutlinger’s goal was assisted by Regan Paterson. Christina Luccini made 10 saves in net and Marissa Canesi had a strong game defensively for the Panthers.

North Attleboro, 1 @ King Philip, 7 – FinalKing Philip’s Claire Lawler and Alli Meehan each had three points as the Warriors rolled to a big win at home. Meehan scored a hat trick while Lawler scored once and had two assists. Kate Lindmark also had multiple points, notching two assists while Meghan MacDonald (assist), Dana Truini (assist), and Nicole Connor (goal) each had one point.

Ana Leonardo paced the offense with 15 assists and four kills, Amanda Kadeseveski had five blocks, four kills, and two aces, and Chelsea Calcagni had 10 kills, six aces, three digs, and a block for the Bombardiers.

For Canton, Taylor Harris had 11 kills, two aces, and 12 digs, Erin Devine added six kills and three blocks, Nicole Brown had 14 assists, 11 digs and five kills, and Megan McDonough held the defense together and tallied 20 digs. For Taunton, Kamila Cuevas had a strong game at the net with nine kills and Hailey Sullivan made her presence felt in the back row, with 26 passes and six digs.

For Mansfield, Greenly Kelly had 11 kills and eight service points while Katie Dardinski and Abby Sullivan each had eight service points.

Attleboro, 172 @ Mansfield, 158 – FinalMansfield sophomore Ava Haggis was the match medalist, shooting a 38 to pace the Hornets to a win at Norton Country Club. Sophomores Nate Morreale, Ryan Dow, and Jason See each shot a 40 for the Hornets. Attleboro’s Ethan Johnson had a team-low round of 40 while Ben Wood carded a 42.

Canton, 161 @ Sharon, 153 – FinalSharon senior Corey Carter and sophomore Ethan Skelly each shot 2-under par to pace the Eagles to a key division win over Canton. Carter and Skelly each shot 34, senior Max Brody carded a 41 and senior Sam Fergenbaum finished at 44. Canton’s Chris Lavoie had a team-low round of 38, Tommy Dimock and Mike Leonetti each shot 40, and Ryan Nolte added a round of 43 for the Bulldogs.

Taunton, 189 @ Franklin, 167 – FinalMatt D’Errico earned match medalist honors as the Panthers notched a win at Franklin Country Club. D’Errico shot a round of 40 to pace the Panthers while Gerard Collins chipped in with a 42 for Franklin.

North Attleboro, 161 @ Oliver Ames, 150 – FinalOliver Ames defended its home course with a win over visiting North Attleboro. Nolan Donze and Thomas Walsh shared team medalist honors, each finishing with a round of 37 to lead the Tigers. Steve Heino and Ryan Bock each shot 38 in OA’s win. Matt Wanless earned match medalist honors, leading the Rocketeers with a 35.

Girls Cross Country
Taunton, 35 @ Franklin, 20 – FinalFranklin senior Julia Fenerty earned her first career cross country win and the Panthers swept the top three spots in a win over Taunton. Fenerty crossed in 19:21 while Kat Walbert and Sydney Hawkins took second and third, respectively, for the Panthers. Taunton’s Kailey Melito-Santos was the top finisher for the Tigers, taking fourth overall.

Sharon, 1 @ Attleboro, 2 – FinalSharon took the lead early in the second half but Attleboro tied it quickly and found the game-winner late. After the Eagles went up in the 45th minute, the Bombardiers quickly leveled in the 47th minute when Mike Russo scored on a breakaway on a pass from Aidan Lancaster. Eli Araujo scored the game-winner, heading in a pass from Will Halben, to give the Bombardiers two points.

Canton, 6 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalCanton senior Griffin Roach scored a first half hat trick as the Bulldogs rolled to a big win on the road at halftime. Canton built a 4-0 advantage after 40 minutes of work, and then both sides found the back of the net twice in the second half. Roach also had two assists while Paul Corcoran (goal, assist), TJ McCabe (goal assist), Colby Ciffolillo (goal), and Paolo Ruggeri (two assists) all found the scoresheet for Canton.

North Attleboro, 2 @ King Philip, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro scored once in each half while keeper Kyle Briere came up big on a pair of corner kicks as the Rocketeers blanked King Philip. Alessandro Gioria scored his first varsity goal on an assist from Alex Pfeffer, giving Big Red a 1-0 lead in the 31st minute. Late in the game, Alvaro Calvo iced the game, scoring in the 75th minute on an assist from Joe Hilf. Briere (eight saves) had his seventh shutout of the season.

Stoughton, 0 @ Mansfield, 6 – FinalStoughton sophomore goalie Nolan Gerome had a spectacular first half, keeping the Hornets scoreless for the opening 40 minutes. But Mansfield’s offense finally broke through early in the second half on its way to a 6-0 win. Luke Savoie scored a second half hat trick (46th, 52nd, and 57th minute) with Luke Devine and Dylan Buchanan earning assists. Senior Ethan Brill-Cass (from Peter Oldow), Raffi Marzella (from Evan Eames), and Sam Nugent (unassisted) each scored in the second half as well.

King Philip, 0 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalThe North Attleboro defense put in a great performance to hold the league’s top attack off the board on Monday. North coach Bill Wallace praised Liz Smahi, Lydia Hershey, Morgan Silver, Olivia Bishop, Sam Hawkins and Brie Westcott for their “smothering defense.” Goalie Emma Noreck kept the clean sheet, including a pair of great saves in the first half. Ashlyn Gaulin scored the game’s only goal late in the opening half off a Haley Ferrin assist and the defense made the goal hold up over the final 40 minutes.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Milford, 1 – FinalGabi McLaughlin scored a pair of goals to lead the Tigers to a divisional crossover win. Erin Holmberg, Lauren Sellmayer, and Lauren Picanzi also scored goals for OA, while Cassie Probert had the Milford goal. Brianna Gibson had three assists for the Tigers.

Attleboro, 2 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalJillian Pagliuca scored the game-winner for the Tigers with 13 minutes remaining in the game. The winning goal was assisted by Alana Tavares. Cierra Bartel and Lauren Torres also scored for Taunton, while Anna Beck and Alex Compton had the Attleboro goals. Taunton coach Liz Hathaway said that Jocelyn Pagliuca and Kathryn Robinson also played well defensively in the win.

Franklin, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalHannah Stryke opened the scoring with 10 minutes left in the first, but Franklin scored four times over the next half hour to get control. Sarah Carney tied the game for Franklin and Victoria Quinn scored twice (both assisted by Cassi Ronan) to give Franklin a 3-1 lead. Ronan then scored unassisted in the second half to extend the advantage to 4-1. The Tigers answered back with two goals in two minutes, one by Stryke (assisted by Kayla Lozzi) and the second by Maggie Woods (assisted by Emily Dionne) to cut the lead to just one. OA kept pressuring and had several chances to tie it but the Panthers held on for the win. OA coach Sharon Lawrence praise Lozzi for her overall performance. Franklin goalie Anna Jardine made four saves in the win.

King Philip, 4 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalThe Hornets nearly made it three straight wins against King Philip (after handing the Warriors their only two losses last year), but Alli Meehan’s second goal of the game (assisted by Nicole Connor) tied the game and kept KP unbeaten this season. Lauren Craig scored the first Mansfield goal off an assist by Hayleigh Crawford. Alicia Hottleman scored the next three for the Hornets, one assisted by Maggie Danehy and the other two by Becca Hottleman. Meehan scored twice and assisted on two others for KP. Meghan MacDonald and Claire Lawlor had the other two goals for the Warriors.

Attleboro, 0 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalTaunton defended its home court with a 3-0 sweep (25-21, 25-12, 25-11) over visiting Attleboro. Nicole Brown had another solid all-around game with 16 assists, 10 digs, an ace, and a kill for the Bulldogs. Megan McDonough had 12 digs and Taylor Harris and Erin Devine each had eight kills and two blocks.

Franklin, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalOA won the opening set, but Franklin won the final three sets to stay unbeaten. The Panthers won 17-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-15. Sadie Homer set a career-high with 40 digs for OA, while Allie Kemp had 31 assists. The Tigers also got 14 kills from Jordan Bosse and seven kills and three aces from Jackie Raymond.

King Philip, 2 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalMansfield raced out to a 2-0 lead only for King Philip to storm back, winning the third set big and then edging the Hornets in a close fourth set. But the Hornets were able to close the win, earning a 16-14 win in the fifth set to get the victory (25-19, 25-17, 11-25, 24-26, 16-14). For Mansfield, Greenly Kelly had 10 kills, 10 service points, and five blocks, Olivia McGrath added 12 kills, Emily Dardinski chipped in with 11 kills, and Katie Dardinski finished with 11 service points and six digs. Catherine Waldeck led KP with 15 kills two blocks and Nicole Coughlan had a strong game, finishing with 14 kills, seven blocks, and two aces.

Milford, 2 @ Stoughton, 3 – FinalMilford rallied from a 2-0 deficit to force a fifth set but Stoughton held on to defeat the Hawks. For Stoughton, Sasha Hyacinthe had a strong game behind the line with 19 service points, Molly Turner and Mia Bennett combined for 40 digs, and Delaney Nagel and Hanna Holden each had seven kills to pace the Knights.

Sophomores Nolan Gerome and Mateus Ribeiro made their first varsity starts for the Black Knights and Fabio Ponce de Leon made his return from injury to help bolster the Stoughton midfield and create several scoring opportunities.

Taunton, 1 @ Sharon, 2 – Final Emily Griffin and Maxine Gordon scored the goals for Sharon to help the Eagles pick up their first win of the season. Jessie Taurnoff had an assist for the Eagles. Emily O’Gara scored the Taunton goal, assisted by Khy Camaro. Izzy Anslow made four saves in the loss.

Stoughton, 1 @ Quincy, 7 – FinalMaggie Veliotis scored the lone goal for the Black Knights.

Canton, 0 @ King Philip, 2 – FinalAlli Meehan scored both of the goals for the Warriors to help KP win the battle of defending league champs. Meehan scored the first goal after nine minutes with an unassisted run through the Canton defense and the second off an assist from Nicole Connor. Grace May made two saves in the win and Sammy Robinson played well in the KP defense.

Foxboro, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalSophia DiCenso scored a hat trick and Jaime Notarangelo added a goal for the Warriors. Hannah Stryke scored with two minutes remaining in the game off a Maggie Woods assist. OA was helped going forward in the second half by Brynna Courneen, Cassie Gennis, Kayla Lozzi, and Woods.

Stoughton, 0 @ Franklin, 8 – FinalAmanda Lewandowski led the way for the Panthers with two goals and two assists to help Franklin pull away in the second half. Regan Paterson had a hat trick and Victoria Quinn and Cassi Ronan each had a goal and an assist for the win. Ashley Reutlinger scored once and Emma DiPhillipo had an assist, while Anna Jardine had five saves in the win. Kayla Laboy made 11 saves for the Black Knights.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Attleboro, 2 – FinalNorth took the fifth set 15-9 to pull out the victory. The Rocketeers won 25-15, 25-27, 25-17, 25-27, 15-9. Chelsea Calcagni had eight aces, one dig and nine kills in the loss, while Ana Leonardo had five aces and 16 assists and Amanda Kadesevskis had five aces, four kills, and three blocks for the Bombardiers.

Canton, 3 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalCanton won 26-24, 19-25, 25-21, 25-15 in a back and forth match. The Bulldogs battled back from 20-12 and 24-20 down in the opening set thanks to strong serving from Julia Minichiello. KP also led 11-4 in the second set and went on to even the match. Canton held on to win the final two sets after several lead changes. Erin Devine had nine kills and eight blocks in the win and Megan McDonough had 15 digs. Canton also got five kills and 15 digs from Taylor Harris, while Nicole Brown had a strong all-around game with 18 assists, 13 digs, and five kills. Caroline Robertson had eight kills for the Warriors, who also got seven kills and three aces from Nicole Coughlin, five kills from Katherine Waldeck, and three kills and two digs from Kat Kmetz.

Foxboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOA won 25-18, 25-14, 25-14. Sarah Litwack had 20 assists and led the Tigers on and off the floor in the win. Sadie Homer had 27 digs and three aces and Jackie Raymond had nine kills, six aces, and three blocks in the win.

Stoughton, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalThe Panthers stayed unbeaten with a 25-15, 25-17, 25-13 victory. Ellie Wisnieswki had seven kills and nine digs for the Panthers. Maggie Doyle had five kills and five solo blocks and was a force at the net for Franklin. Hailey Sanders and Peyton Arone each added five kills, libero Riley Marino had 10 digs and a pair of aces, and setter Lauren McGrath had 30 assists and five aces for a very balanced Franklin attack.

Thomas Walsh led the way with a one-under round of 34, while Jared Spillane, Ryan Bock, Bradley Powers, and Tate Hadges all shot rounds of 39. Ethan Johnson matched the low round for Attleboro with a 34 and Jake Moulton shot a 38. Ben Wood shot a 40 and Jack Handy a 43 for the Bombardiers

Canton, 169 @ King Philip, 168 – FinalKP pulled off a 1-stroke win against Canton to even its record on the season. Nate Ihley shot a 39 to lead the way for the Warriors, matched by a 39 from Canton’s Mike Leonetti. Kayla Schuberth, Jared Curran, and Jack Hastry all shot rounds of 43 for KP. Mike Gobbi and Thomas Singleton each carded a 43 for the Bulldogs and Ryan Nolte shot a 44.
