Boys Basketball
Attleboro, 59 @ Taunton, 68 – Final – Tommy MacLean scored 18 points for the Tigers and Lou Vendrell chipped in with 17. Taunton held Attleboro to six points in the fourth quarter to pull out the victory.
Stoughton, 65 @ Canton, 70 – Final – Sophomore Devin Foster paced the Bulldogs with 17 points and Tony Harris scored 15 points and pulled down nine boards, as Canton held off a “furious” rally by the Black Knights. Jake Verille scored a career-high 14 in the win. Cam Andrews had a game-high 24 points for Stoughton.

King Philip, 49 @ Franklin, 64 – Final – Freshman Chris Edgehill scored a career-high 16 points for the Panthers and Josh Macchi had 14 in the win.
Mansfield, 72 @ Oliver Ames, 42 – Final – The Hornets broke the game open with an 18-7 second quarter to take a 20-point lead by halftime. Christian Weber led the way for Mansfield with 17 points and Tyler Boulter added 15. Phil Vigeant (11 points) and Sam Goldberg (10) each reached double-digits for the Hornets.
Milford, 65 @ Sharon, 42 – Final – Zack Tamagni scored 22 points to lead the Hawks to the division win. Anthony Arcudi added 15 points and Kayden Kelly scored eight points and pulled in 18 rebounds. Sharon was led by Jimmy Fitzhenry with 11 points.
Girls Basketball
Taunton, 28 @ Attleboro, 66 – Final
Canton, 41 @ Stoughton, 54 – Final – Val Whalen had another strong game for the Black Knights, scoring 19 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Freshman Aliyah Wright added 10 points for Stoughton. Hannah Jerrier had a team-high 11 points for the Bulldogs.
Foxboro, 47 @ North Attleboro, 53 – Final – Ashley Ahern had a team-high 16 points for the second straight game to help North Attleboro take a two-game lead on the Warriors in the Davenport division. Samantha Taggart also scored 16 for North. Ashley Sampson had a game-high 21 for the Warriors and Lauren Flahive added nine fourth quarter points and pulled in nine rebounds in the loss that ended a six-game win streak for Foxboro.
Franklin, 67 @ King Philip, 36 – Final – Kate Morse was the top scorer for the Panthers with 15 points. Megan O’Connell added 11 for Franklin, while Ali Brigham and Erin Skidmore each scored 10 and Carli Koffinke had nine points. KP was led by Shannon O’Connor with 14.

Sharon, 37 @ Milford, 48 – Final – The Eagles battled back to cut the lead to eight points in the fourth quarter, but Milford’s Kate Irwin scored eight of her 15 points in the quarter, including 5-of-6 from the line, to seal the win for the Hawks. Emma Eberhardt led the Eagles with a team-high 13 points and pulled in 12 rebounds, while Shira Stoller scored eight and grabbed seven rebounds.
Hockey
Stoughton, 1 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final – P.J. Elliott scored a power play goal in the second period that turned out to be the game-winner. Jake Parker had the other goal for Attleboro. Ryan Chipman had the Stoughton goal. All three of the game’s goals were scored in the second period.
Wrestling
Masconomet Quad (Oliver Ames) – Oliver Ames went 1-2 on the day, beating Burlington 47-24 but falling to Arlington (37-31) and to Masconomet (40-39). Anthony Berksza (145), Jay Fruci (220) and Dean Pacini (195) each went 3-0 on the day for the Tigers.

D2 Central
#2 Canton, 3 vs. #10 Ashland, 0 – Final – Canton picked up the 25-21, 25-22, 25-20 to advance to the D2 Central Semifinals. Head coach Pat Cawley said it was a “great team effort,” led by Nicole Poole with 23 assists, eight kills and 10 digs. Julia Panico was outstanding on defense with 20 digs, Emma Murphy had 9 kills and Emma Gobbi had a great day on offense with six kills. The Bulldogs will host Hockomock rival #6 Milford on Wednesday at 7:00.

Val Whalen led Stoughton’s offense with 18 kills while Molly Turner had 14 assists. Christina Gelin, Riley Bagley and Whalen combined for over 70 digs. Canton’s Emma Murphy and Casey Shea each had nine kills and Emma Gobbi added four kills. Nicole Poole finished with 26 assists for the Bulldogs.
Oliver Ames, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final – Mansfield defended home court with a 25-15, 25-20, 25-21 sweep. Emily Kleber paced Mansfield with 10 kills while Jess Haradon had 16 digs and nine service points and Chloe Peters had 28 assists.

Franklin, 1 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip notched a 25-21, 24-26, 25-13, 25-22 win over Franklin. Sydney Phillips had 17 kills and two blocks, Carly Adams added 21 assists and three kills, Amanda Loewen had seven digs, Emma Lopez chipped in with nine digs and Angela Vellante and Molly Croke combined for 11 digs. For Franklin, Maddie Kuzio had 39 digs, Erin Skidmore and Maggie Doyle each had eight kills and Meaghan Maguire notched six blocks.

Taunton, 4 @ Attleboro, 1 – Final – Taunton had four different players find the back of the net to get the win. “The team played very well both offensively and defensively,” Taunton head coach Liz Hathaway said. “This was a total team victory and everyone brought their A game.” Kya Enos, Lauren Torres, Annie Tate and Lianda Duarte scored for the Tigers. Duarte, Torres and Enos each had an assist as well. Emma Sheehan earned the win in net with seven saves.

Franklin, 0 @ King Philip, 0 – Final – Franklin sophomore goalie Christina Lucini made 14 saves and junir Kate Morse had two saves herself as Franklin clinched the Kelley-Rex title. Franklin head coach Lisa Cropper said Kayla Marshall, Caroline Lounsbury and Dana Lewandowski all had strong defensive games for the Panthers.

Sharon, 6 @ Norwood, 0 – Final – Ally Filipkowski and Ally Steinberg each netted a pair of goals to pace Sharon’s offense in a win against Norwood. Alex Rabb and Amanda Klayman each scored a goal apiece as well.

Franklin, 3 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Franklin picked up the sweep on the road to earn its 12th win of the season. Maddie Kuzio paced the Panthers with 28 digs and four aces while Maggie Doyle added five digs and three blocks and Erin Skidmore had nine kills and eight digs.
Foxboro, 0 @ Canton, 3 – Final – Canton celebrated its 12 seniors with a 25-19, 25-13, 25-16 win. “Each senior made contributions to the win,” Canton head coach Pat Cawley said. In the third set, Canton senior Nicole Poole recorded her 1000th assist on a kill by Emma Murphy. “Nicole is a selfless and talented player who has put her mark on CHS volleyball,” Cawley said.
Mansfield, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip clinched the Kelley-Rex division title with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-20 over Mansfield. Sydney Phillips had a strong day with 16 kills and five service points. Carly Adams added 29 assists and 13 service points, Amanda Loewen had eight digs and 10 service points, Liv Balduf finished with six kills and 10 service points, Angela Vellante had 18 service points and two aces and Molly Croke added six digs. For Mansfield, Chloe Peters had 22 assists and eight service points, Meg Hill had 11 kills and Olivia Broyles added five kills.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – Final – After dropping the first set, Oliver Ames rattled off three straight to get the win, 23-25, 25-2, 25-21, 20-15. Alyssa Gavin led OA with 17 digs and five aces while Bridget McCarthy added 30 assists and two aces. Kayla Raymond tallied 14 kills and two blocks and Katie Flynn and Maya Fetcho each had eight kills.

Kate Morse and Annie Walsh each had two assists along with one assist from Dana Lewandowski. Christina Lucini and Anna Jardine combined for the shutout in goal with four saves.

Mansfield, 2 @ Franklin, 0 – Final – Mansfield’s Jed Tolbert notched his sixth shutout of the season and the Hornets cashed in twice in the second half to beat Franklin. Sam Hyland headed home a corner kick from Sean Lanzillo in the 49th minute for the game-winner. Cullin Anastasia doubled the lead in the 73rd minute, finishing off a direct kick from Lanzillo.
North Attleboro, 1 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – North Attleboro sophomore Justin Renehan scored his first career goal with 11 minutes to go in the game to put the Rocketeers ahead but Stoughton found the equalizer with just over two minutes to go. Stoughton sophomore Fabio Ponce De Leon scored the tying goal after a service into the box from a free kick passed by Marco Antunes. Shawn Watters had four big saves for the Rocketeers.

Franklin, 1 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – Franklin’s Molly Duncan scored early in the second half off of an assist from Halle Atkinson to put the Panthers up but Mansfield found the equalizer in the final 10 minutes. Amanda Mangano converted with just eight minutes to go to keep the Hornets undefeated (13-0-2).
Stoughton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final – Four players recorded two points in North Attleboro’s win at home over Stoughton. Haley Ferrin scored a pair of goals – “They were beautiful goals,” said North coach Bill Wallace – while Ashlyn Gaulin, Kayla Pasquel and Haley Guertin each scored once and had an assist. Britta MacDonald and Kenzie Rosenberg also had an assist for the Rocketeers. Stoughton head coach Tara Daniels said Gabby Diaz “played tough in the back field.” for the Black Knights.
Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip freshman Avery Snead netted the game winner in the 32nd minute of the game as the Warriors picked up the shutout win at home. “It was a rocket,” KP head coach Gary Pichel said of Snead’s goal. Julian Massarone doubled the lead in the 47th minute, converting a nice pass from Chloe Layne inside the area. Maddie Smith added an insurance goal just three minutes later in the 50th minute, converting a cross from Layne.

Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Oliver Ames defended home court with a 25-18, 25-16, 25-18 sweep of Attleboro. OA senior Bridget McCarthy tallied 22 assists and three aces and senior libero Alyssa Gavin added 12 digs and two aces. Caroline Cavanaugh had four kills and “played aggressive on the net” according to head coach Chelsea Correia.
Canton, 3 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Canton picked up the sweep on the road at Sharon; “Everyone contributed to the win tonight,” Canton head coach Pat Cawley said. Nicole Poole led Canton with 16 assists, six kills and two aces. Emma Murphy added seven kills, three blocks and six aces. Sofia Connor, Malia Claiborne and Kehla Minkin all played good defense while Emma Gobbi played well at the net for Canton.
Milford, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final
Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final – Franklin used the energy of senior night to sweep Mansfield, 25-20, 25-21, 25-20. “It was a strong performance by the entire team,” Franklin head coach Kate Horsmann said. Senior Erin Skidmore had 14 kills and 11 digs to lead the Panthers while Meaghan Maguire had six kills and three blocks, Lauren McGrath had 22 assists, two aces and a kill and Maddie Kuzio finished with 22 digs and a pair of aces. For Mansfield, Jess Haradon had 20 digs, Meg Hill had 10 kills and Emily Kleber had six kills.

Canton, 1 @ Milford, 1 – Final – Freshman Jordan Borges scored his second career goal to put Milford ahead early in the second half but Canton leveled the match with a penalty kick with six minutes to go. Milford head coach Brian Edwards said Zachary Browne and Marcello Panna both put in great performances.
Stoughton, 0 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final – Foxboro’s Hussein Kafel scored the game winning goal midway through the first half for the Warriors while Anthony Barreira iced the game with a goal in the final minutes.
North Attleboro, 0 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Shawn Watters notched his second straight shutout and fourth overall in net for the Rocketeers.
King Philip, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final – Oliver Ames scored three goals in the second half to hand King Philip its first loss of the season. Nathaniel Cardoza set up Thomas McCormick for a shot from just outside the area to put OA up 1-0. Matt Campbell finished off a cross from Matt Alvarado to make it 2-0 and then Alvarado scored one of his own, putting home a flick from James Gillespie off a throw from Chris Lawrence. Jack Carroll recorded his seventh shutout of the season with the help of Lawrence, Mason Galbato, Nick Bloumbas, Cam Johnson and Michael Braga. “We had an early opportunity in the second half but wasn’t able to finish,” KP head coach Nick Gale said. “After that, OA played very well and scored first which set the tone – they didn’t look back. I take responsibility for my team being unprepared.”
Taunton, 1 @ Franklin, 1 – Final – Farley Asmath opened the scoring in the 39th minute off a feed from freshman Sam Stowell to put Franklin up 1-0 but Taunton’s Daeshawn Duffie answered a minute later to level the match just before half.
Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 4 – Final – Stephanie Kemp and Amanda Mangano each recorded two points as Mansfield stayed unbeaten on the season. Kemp scored once and had an assist while Mangano had two helpers. Bryn Anderson, Emma Goulet and Emily Vigeant each scored once for Mansfield.

Rachel LaBonte had two assists while Emily Chiasson, Sam Hawkins, Ashlyn Gaulin and Britta MacDonald each had one assist. Head coach Bill Wallace said Grace McGoldrick and Julianna DiRenzo played exception in midfield.

Foxboro, 173 @ Attleboro, 169 – Final – Ethan Johnson led Attleboro, earning co-medalist honors with a round of 40. Brian Houle shot a 42, Corey McKenna shot a 43 and Taron Mills carded a 45 to pace the Bombardiers. Foxboro’s Colby Nickerson shared medalist honors, shooting a 40 as well.
Oliver Ames, 147 @ Canton, 151 – Final – Oliver Ames completed the regular season undefeated at 16-0 with a win at Canton. Ryan McGarry and Nolan Donze both shot 35 earn match medalist honors for the Tigers. Brady Allbritton shot a 38 and Tate Hadges carded a 39 for the Tigers. Matt Minichiello and Danny Powers each each shot 37 to pace Canton while Tommy Dimock carded a round of 38
