Boys Soccer
Attleboro, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – FinalOliver Ames scored once in each half, earning a 2-0 win over Attleboro to punch its ticket to the state tournament for the 10th straight season. Sophomore Anthony DaCosta gave the Tigers the lead in the 14th minute, hitting a half volley at the top of the box. DaCosta’s shot deflated off an Attleboro defender, catching the keeper going the wrong way. In the second half, sophomore Colin Milliken made it 2-0 in the 58th minute. After a long ball forced the keeper way off his line, Milliken collected the loose ball and lofted a shot from 40 yards out into the open net.

Canton, 2 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalCanton took an early lead and added a late insurance goal to pick up two points against Stoughton. Paul Corcoran and Griffin Roach each scored once for the Bulldogs. Stoughton’s Fabio Ponce de Leon hit the crossbar just before half as the Knights nearly tied it before the break. Nolan Gerome had 23 saves in net for the Knights.

Milford, 2 @ Foxboro, 2 – FinalMilford took a late 1-0 lead in the first half, Foxboro stormed back in the second half to take a 2-1 lead but the Hawks equalized just minutes later to earn a draw on the road. Jordan Borges put Milford up in the 39th, heading in a free kick from Tiago Carvalho. Nic Beigel tied it 1-1 in the 52nd minute on an assist from Shane VandenBoom. VandenBoom then set up Dylan Barreira in the 64th minute for the 2-1 advantage. Milford leveled the match six minutes later when Anthony Salvador found the back of the net on an assist from Lucas Caetano. Borges and Leo Coelho both had strong games for the Hawks.

Mansfield, 0 @ Franklin, 0 – FinalFranklin goalie Jack Rudolph thwarted a dozen scoring chances and the Panthers’ team defense helped keep the Hornets off the scoreboard in a scoreless draw. Rudolph had 12 saves while Mansfield keeper Anthony Salisbury also had a shutout.

King Philip, 3 @ Taunton, 4 – FinalTaunton raced out to a 4-0 lead in the first half and then had to hold off a furious rally from King Philip in the second half to get the win. Mateusz Hagemajer had a natural hat trick, scoring the first three goals of the game, opening the scoring in the 9th minute off an assist from Evan Melo. Hagemajer made it 2-0 off an assist from Brett Beaulieu in the 16th minute and 3-0 in the 24th minute. Alec Nunes made it 4-0 in the 31st minute. King Philip scored three times in a 20-minute span in the second half. Jimmy Dumont (40’), Stephen Griffin (55′), and Zac White (60′) each scored for KP.

Girls Soccer
Oliver Ames, 1 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalOliver Ames’ Caroline Peper made her mark in her first varsity game, scoring the lone goal to help the Tigers earn two points on the road. OA head coach Britt Sellmayer said Brianna Gibson, Emma Pereira and Olivia Carroll played well for the Tigers.

Stoughton, 2 @ Canton, 8 – FinalStoughton’s Mackenzie Manning scored both goals for the Knights, with Hannah Papagno assisting on the first strike. Manning added a second from the penalty spot.

Franklin, 2 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalThe Panthers edged Mansfield in a back-and-forth game behind goals from Sam Powderly and Sydney St. Marie. Sydney Mulkern scored the goal for the Hornets. With the win, Franklin moves to within just one point of league-leading Mansfield.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalAshlyn Gaulin had another big game for the Rocketeers, as the league’s leading scorer had a hat trick and an assist to keep North three points back of Foxboro in the Davenport. Lexi Sinacola and Kayla Pasquel also scored for North, while Emma Noreck and Regan Fein split time in goal to keep a clean sheet. Hannah Davis, Lauren Pezzi and Tess Collins also played well for the Rocketeers.

Taunton, 0 @ King Philip, 7 – FinalJenna Hitchens led the way for the Warriors with a hat trick and an assist, as KP got back on track, ending a five-game winless streak. Avery Snead and Chloe Layne each had a goal and two assists in the win. Jaida Caruso also scored off an assist from Jillian Anderson and Ally Stanton had one goal for KP.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalHaley Nelson scored for Stoughton while Tara Nair scored for North Attleboro as the teams each took a point from the game.

Canton, 47 @ Milford, 15 – FinalMilford swept the top five spots in the race on its way to a big win over the visiting Bulldogs. Milford’s Anthony DiStauro, Max Manor, and Brendan O’Shaughnessy were the top three runners, while Canton’s Kyle Downing took sixth overall as the top finisher for the Bulldogs.

Mansfield, 17 @ Taunton, 55 – FinalMansfield took the first four spots in the race, with all four runners clocking in under 17 minutes, in a win over Taunton. Jason Windvogel was first overall with fellow Hornets Patrick Heavey, Mike Mullahy, and Paxton Howard crossing in a seven-second span. Taunton’s Nolan Tavares was the top Tiger, finishing fifth overall.

The Eagles swept the entire top 10 with Jared Osofsky getting his first win of the season. Alex Starovoytov, Jacob Dubin, Jordan Saks, and Nathan Stockton rounded out the top five. Stoughton’s Colin Rahaman was the top runner for the Knights at 17:15.

Franklin, 27 @ Attleboro, 37 – FinalAttleboro had the first two runners cross the finish line but Franklin swept 3-5 and clinched the win by getting seventh and eighth in the win. Julia Fenerty (19:41) was the top Panther, taking third, followed by Sydney Hawkins in fourth and Kat Walbert in fifth. Attleboro’s Shea Jamieson was first overall while Kelly Neuendorf took second.

Mansfield, 22 @ Taunton, 33 – FinalMansfield’s Margaret Riley and Tessa Lancaster took the top two spots and the supporting cast of Jessica Alestock, Brinly Meelia, and Emma Lamson all finished inside the top eight to secure the win and the Hockomock League Kelley-Rex division championship. For the first time this season, Riley crossed the finish line in under 20 minutes (19:56).

Eliana Boxerman took first place with Daphne Theiler, Juliana Dudziak, and Margaret Li all crossing just a second later. Stoughton’s Rebecca Lally took fifth overall, clocking in at 20:37.

Milford, 163 @ Canton, 158 – FinalCanton edged Milford by five strokes, earning a win and clinching the program’s second straight Davenport division title. Tommy Dimock was the match medalist with an impressive low-round of 33 to pace the Bulldogs. Thomas Singleton added a round of 38, Mike Gobbi shot 43, and Mike Leonetti chipped in with a 44. Justin Applebee and Alex Klosen each had a 40 for the Hawks, Riley Lynch added a round of 41 and Ed Madden finished with a 42.

Foxboro, 172 @ Sharon, 169 – FinalSharon defended its home course, beating the visiting Warriors by three strokes. Corey Carter led the way for the Eagles with a round of 37 while Andrew Glaser shot a 40. Noah Hicks shot 40 to lead Foxboro.

Franklin, 158 @ Mansfield, 154 – FinalMansfield pulled off its second straight upset, knocking off visiting Franklin. A day after beating Oliver Ames, the Hornets earned a four-stroke victory over the Panthers. A trio of sophomores – Jason See, Joseph Gormley, and Nate Morreale – all shot 38 to pace Mansfield while sophomore Brandon Kemp added a round of 40.

King Philip, 160 @ North Attleboro, 163 – FinalKing Philip earned a nice crossover win over North Attleboro on the middle course at Heather Hill Country Club. Kayla Schuberth had a low-round for the Warriors, shooting a 39 while Jack Hastry and Ian Nally each shot 40 and Nate Ihley added a 41. North Attleboro’s Jillian Barend was the match medalist with a 2-over par round of 37. Marcus Costa (40), Matt Wanless (42), and Pat Roberts (44) also scored for the Rocketeers.

Oliver Ames, 147 @ Stoughton, 183 – FinalOliver Ames’ top four golfers all had rounds of under 40 and the Tigers rolled to a big win at Easton Country Club. Nolan Donze led the way with a medalist round of 35, Liam Barry and Sam Becker each shot 37, and Brad Powers finished with a 38. Kyle Stone and Nick Szum each shot a 42 for the host Black Knights.

Baseball
Mansfield, 6 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalMansfield scored in each of the first four innings on its way to a win over King Philip, clinching the Kelley-Rex division title with the result. The Hornets scored two runs in the first and third innings while tacking on single runs in the second and fourth. Tyler Dalton earned the win on the mound, allowing just three hits and one unearned run in the seventh inning, and struck out 12. Dalton helped his cause at the place by going 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs. Cullin Anastasia added two hits and an RBI for Mansfield.

North Attleboro, 7 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro plated four runs in the third inning, including what turned out to be the winning run, to conclude the regular season with a victory on the road at Taunton. Brendan McHugh (three runs) started the third with a leadoff walk and scored on a double from Zach DeMattio (2-for-4). DeMattio scored on a two-out double from Jeff Gale, and Nick Raneri (HBP) scored on an errant throw. Gale came in to score on a base hit from Nolan Buckley. Taunton scored two in the fifth behind three straight singles from Jack Moynihan, Evan Melo, and Tyler Pietrzyk, and then a sacrifice fly from Jacob Crawford. But North put the game away with two more runs in the top of the sixth. Shawn Watters (double) scored on a triple from McHugh, and McHugh came home on a sacrifice fly from Nick Sinacola.

Softball
North Attleboro, 7 @ Milford, 4 – Final (9 inn.)North Attleboro struck for three runs in the top of the ninth inning, all with two outs, to hand Milford its second straight loss. Olivia Capobianco drove in Katherine Munley and came around to score herself on a base hit from Abby Gallagher. Gallagher scored on a hit from Ashley Cangiano. Annabelle Hebard had two doubles and scored a run for North. Bella Erti struck out five in the win.

Foxboro, 0 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalTaunton junior Jack Moynihan struck out nine batters without allowing a walk or a run in 6.2 innings of work to help the Tigers beat visiting Foxboro. The Tigers pushed across two runs in the bottom of the first inning and tacked on one more in the fourth inning. Evan Melo had two hits for the Tigers while Sean Quinlan and Jacob Crawford each had an RBI. Foxboro’s Michael Devlin went 2-for-3 on the day.

Stoughton, 11 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalStoughton overcame an early five-run deficit, tying the game and taking the lead in the fifth inning, and added five insurance runs in the top of the seventh to get the win on the road. Stoughton scored two runs in each the third and fourth innings to get within a run. Senior Ruben Gonzalez led off with a triple in the fifth and scored on a squeeze from George Currier. Stoughton took the lead when Matt Hadley doubled and scored on a two-out single from Robbie Seaman. Zak Paquette got the win for the Black Knights with three earned runs allowed, no walks, and two strikeouts.

Franklin, 12 @ Canton, 6 – FinalFranklin pushed across five runs in the first inning, highlighted by Jackie Cherry’s three-run home run, and never trailed in a win on the road at Canton. The Panthers added four more runs in the second and then added three insurance runs in the top of the seventh. Tara Hartnett had two hits, including a triple, and an RBI, Peyton Arone went 3-for-3 with an RBI, and Natalie Stott had a two-run single. Cherry and Emily Valentino combined for 10 strikeouts for Franklin.

Taunton, 16 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final (5 inn.)Taunton senior Kya Enos went 3-for-3 and drove in two runs and sophomore Payton Ceglarski had three hits, including two doubles, and three RBI as the Tigers notched a big win on the road. McKenzie McAloon went 2-for-2 with two RBI, Mackenzie Handrahan had two hits, including a double, and knocked in a pair of runs, and Jaime Brown and Kelsey White each had two hits and an RBI. Alexa White earned the win in the circle, allowing three hits while striking out eight.

King Philip, 14 @ Stoughton, 3 – FinalMeghan Gorman recorded four RBI and scored three runs and Sydney Phillips added three hits and two runs scored to pace the Warriors to a big win. Hailey McCasland, Nicole Carter, Faith Turinese, and Brooke Taute all had multiple hits on the day with KP totaling 17 as a team. Elise Pereira pitched a complete game, allowing three runs in the first but then blanked the Black Knights over the next six. Stoughton’s Gina Carafa was 3-for-3 with a double and two singles, Jordan Lyons was 2-for-4 with a double, and Karly Estremera added another hit. SHS coach Deb Parker noted catcher Brianna Ferrandiz had an outstanding game defensively.

Attleboro, 3 @ North Attleboro, 12 – FinalNorth Attleboro got it done on both ends of the field in a non-league win over Attleboro. Tommy Lindstrom had four goals and five assists, Andy DeMattio scored four goals, and Jack Connolly dished out three assists. Jason McNeany added two goals while Nick Ward and Nick Morse each scored once. North’s defense of Will Yeomans, Max Fontes, Brett Labonte, and Tom Lockavitch combined to force a dozen turnovers while Jack Puccio made five saves in net.

Foxboro, 13 vs. Bishop Feehan, 5 – Final

Milford, 8 @ Oliver Ames, 17 – FinalOliver Ames used a 10-0 run between the second and third quarters to record a win over visiting Milford. Owen Gallagher (one goal, five assists) notched his 100th career point in the win while Sam Stevens and Eric LeBlanc finished with four goals apiece. Frankie Ireland finished with seven points (two goals, five assists) for the Tigers.

North Attleboro, 17 @ Attleboro, 3 – FinalAfter a week off, North Attleboro got back on track with a big win on the road. Mackenzie Rosenberg paced the Rocketeers with three goals and four assists, while Katie Lindstrom added four goals and an assist. Camille Pizarro had a hat trick for North, which also got goals from Lilly Cameron, Julia Tolfa, Lexi Sinacola, and Regan Fein. Faith Graveline and Kayla Moulin each made three saves in the North goal. Rocketeers coach Colleen Carchedi said of Attleboro that the Bombardiers played an “aggressive” game and had a strong second half.

Foxboro, 21 @ Bishop Feehan, 9 – FinalSophia DiCenso and Caroline Boudreau each scored five goals as the Warriors offense exploded for 21 goals in an impressive non-league win. Foxboro also dominated the draw controls with Boudreau, DiCenso, and Christina Rogers controlling the center circle and helping the Warriors win 23-of-29 in the game.

Foxboro, 4 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalFoxboro raced out to a 3-0 lead by halftime and never looked back, picking up two points on the road. Hussein Kafel scored both of his goals in the first half while Nic Biegel also found the back of the net in the opening stanza. Cam Cass added a goal in the second half for Foxboro. Shane VandenBoom had two assists in the win while Cass and Dylan Barreira each had one.

Canton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalOliver Ames James Gillespie scored early in the second half to help the Tigers beat visiting Canton. Gillespie converted after a touch from Nathaniel Cardoza off of a long throw from Chris Lawrence. Jack Carroll came up with a big save late to preserve the win.

Sharon, 1 @ Franklin, 1 – FinalFranklin took the lead in the first half but Sharon senior Tyler Goldstein pounced on a loose ball inside the area in the final minutes to net the equalizer.

North Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalKing Philip got off to a strong start with senior Thomas Lugten netting a pair of goals inside the first 10 minutes as the Warriors handed North its first loss of the season. Senior Tyler Mann and freshman Ajae Olsen scored second half goals for KP.

Milford, 2 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalMilford twice took the lead on the road, but Mansfield responded each time to earn the draw. The Scarlet Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute when sophomore Walisson de Oliveira buried a free kick from just outside the area. Mansfield tied the game when Jared Gabrilowitz converted a corner from Luke Savoie in the 24th minute. Milford went back on top in the 32nd minute when Claudio Da Silva sprang de Oliveira on the break and he scored. The Hornets grabbed the equalizer with just seven minutes to play with Nick Hyland heading in a throw-in from his brother Sam.

Stoughton, 1 @ Taunton, 5 – FinalTaunton junior Brett Beaulieu scored a hat trick to lead the Tigers to their first Hockomock League since October 2015, snapping a 32-game skid. Beaulieu scored one unassisted while the other two were set up by Alec Nunes. Beaulieu also had an assist, setting up classmate Charlie Fiske for his first career goal. Junior Evan Melo capped the scoring on a feed from classmate Noah Leite.

Girls Soccer
Attleboro, 2 @ Foxboro, 5 – FinalMackenzie Fraser scored a brace and Lily Sykes added a goal from the penalty spot and three assists to help Foxboro climb back above .500 for the season. Shaina Abbott and Katelyn Mollica also scored for the Warriors. Foxboro coach Katie Stalcup said the Warriors “played really well as a team today!”

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Canton, 2 – FinalFreshman Olivia Rodman scored a brace for the Bulldogs to pick up two points against OA. Fellow freshman Elisa Diletizia assisted on the opening goal and Sarah Collins got the assist on the second for Canton, which moves within three points of first place North Attleboro. Franklin, 1 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalMolly Duncan scored the opening goal off an Emily Quaile assist to give the Panthers the lead midway through the second half, but Ally Filipkowski answered from the penalty spot with six minutes to play to earn the draw for the Eagles. Cat Robbins made three saves for Franklin in the draw. Sharon coach Brad Furnival said, “The team put in a great shift and I am pleased they had a positive result today after a few close games recently.”

Mansfield, 4 @ Milford, 2 – Final Emily Vigeant continued her scoring streak for the Hornets with a pair of goals, while Stephanie Kemp and Cassidy McMahon also got on the score sheet for Mansfield, which moves back into a first-place tie with King Philip. Leeanne Kibbee scored for Milford off a Maggie Boyle assist and Madelyn Boyle added the second for the Hawks. Freshman goalie Carley Ferreira made four saves in the loss.

Taunton, 1 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final Angie Lynch scored the lone goal for Taunton, assisted by Maggie Sullivan, and Grace Pimenta made four saves in the Tigers goal. Stoughton’s goal was scored by Chinazo Odunze off an assist by Nicole Weir.

North Attleboro, 1 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalIn a battle of division leaders, King Philip emerged with a 25-20, 25-19, 23-25, 25-22 win at home. Sydney Phillips led the way with nine kills, six digs, and six service points while Michaela Palumbo added eight kills and 11 service points. Elise Pereira also had 12 digs, 12 service points, and two aces and Julianne Rando finished with 11 digs, seven service points, two kills and two aces.

North Attleboro, 168 @ Attleboro, 163 – FinalAttleboro swept the season series with rival North Attleboro, edging the Rocketeers by five strokes at Highland Country Club. Kyle DelSignore earned match medalist honors, carding a low-round of 39. Corey McKenna shot a 40 while Ethan Johnson and Taron Mills each shot 42. Matt Wanless led North Attleboro with a round of 40.

King Philip, 153 @ Oliver Ames, 147 – FinalOliver Ames withstood a strong test from visiting King Philip to card a six-stroke victory. Eric LeBlanc and Matt Kelley led the way for the Tigers, each shooting 36, while Ryan McGarry carded a round of 37.

Sharon, 172 @ Stoughton, 189 – FinalSharon’s Corey Carter and Stoughton’s Brendan Campbell shared match medalist honors, each carding a round of 40 at Easton Country Club.

Franklin, 165 @ Milford, 168 – FinalFranklin senior Jason Collins shot a low-round of 39 to earn match medalist honors while classmate Bryan Woelfel shot a 40 to lead the Panthers to the win. Riley Lynch and Andrew Fauerbach each shot 41 for the Scarlet Hawks.
