Canton, 3 @ Milford, 11 – FinalMilford scored two runs in the first and another run in the second, but really broke the game open with eight runs in the fifth inning. The Scarlet Hawks erupted for 14 hits as a team with five players recording at least a pair of hits. Aidan Wilde and Zack Tamagni each had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored for Milford. Nate Irwin got the win, striking out four in five inning sof work with one earned allowed on five hits.

Foxboro, 0 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalStoughton took advantage of a lead off walk in the second inning, turning it into the lone run of the game. Sophomore Evan Gibb drew the walk and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly from Ruben Gonzalez. Stoughton senior Ryan Sullivan threw a complete game shutout, scattering three hits with just one walk, fanning three batters for the win. Foxboro’s Aaron Wentling had a strong outing on the mound, allowing just five hits while striking out five in six innings of work.

Oliver Ames, 9 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalOliver Ames overcame an early 2-0 deficit, taking a 3-2 lead in the third inning. The Tigers then tacked on three runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings to create a big lead. Kyle Gagliardi went 3-for-5 with an RBI to lead OA while Alden Newman was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Head coach Joe Abarr noted Newman also had a terrific game defensively as well. Senior Sam Burr threw 6.1 innings, striking out three without issuing a walk, giving up three earned runs on eight hits.

Sharon, 0 @ North Attleboro, 8 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s offense got going early, plating a pair of runs in the first while tacking on single runs in the third and fifth innings. Big Red broke the game open with a four-run sixth inning. Junior Nate Pearce tossed a complete game shutout on just 74 pitches, allowing three hits while striking out four batters to earn the win. At the plate, Pearce was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and pair of RBI. Nick Crawley went 2-for-2 with a sacrifice fly, finishing with three RBI and Jeff Gale added three hits for the Rocketeers.

Softball
Mansfield, 5 @ Attleboro, 4 – FinalSarah Cahill picked up the win for the Hornets, allowing seven hits and had five strikeouts. Sarah Bradley went 2-for-2 to lead the Hornets offensively and Liz Mackin, Kerran Holmes, Hayley McGowan and Caty Demassi all had hits in the win. Amanda Giambanco made a big play in right to double up a runner on third to end the sixth inning.

Milford, 21 @ Canton, 0 – Final (5 inn.)Milford’s Ali Atherton and Maggie Farrell each knocked in five runs as Milford rolled to a big win. Atherton went 3-for-3 with a pair of triples and five RBI while Farrell was 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a triple and five RBI. Emily Piergustavo went 3-for-3 with a double, triple, two walks and five runs scored while Kate Irwin also went 3-for-3 with a double and four runs scored.

Stoughton, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – FinalHannah Davis provided a walk-off hit in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Foxboro the win in its delayed season opener. Jamie Gorham led off the inning with a base hit and was moved into scoring position by a Kelly McCarthy bunt. Davis ripped a hit to left to score the winning run. Kelly Fisher had two hits and two RBI for the Warriors and Emma Rohan went the distance for the win. Gina Carafa gave up only one earned run in 6-2/3 innings for the Black Knights.

Taunton, 10 @ Franklin, 3 – FinalCourtney Fisher allowed one earned run to pick up her fifth win of the season. Kya Enos had a home run and a double and drove in three runs for the Tigers, while Hailey Medeiros had a double, triple, and two RBI and Katie Van Zandt had a pair of hits. Eighth grader McKenzie McAloon added her first career varsity hit and RBI in the win.

King Philip, 6 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalOliver Ames scored in the first inning and loaded the bases in the second, but couldn’t add any more damage as KP picked up the win. OA’s Victoria Ziner was 2-3 with a pair of doubles and a run scored and Rachel Han had an RBI for the Tigers. Kayla Georgeu struck out two in a complete game effort for OA.

North Attleboro, 12 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalNorth Attleboro junior Amelia Murphy had a big day for the Rocketeers, tossing a one-hitter with nine strikeouts to earn the win while also hitting a home run at the plate. Andrea Miceli added three hits, Meg Barlow and Liz Morehouse each had two hits and Kristina Murphy had a three-run triple for the Rocketeers.

Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro, 1 @ Franklin, 19 – FinalEleven different players found the back of the net as Franklin rolled to its second league win. Four players scored their first career goals for the Panthers; sophomore Cam Sweeney had two goals and one assist, junior Scott Ehrenberg (5/8 on face offs) scored once and sophomores Ben Kolb and Aaron Mollo each netted one goal. Sophomore Jacob Alexander won 14 of 16 face offs. Junior Connor O’Rourke made five saves in net and sophomore Will Davis made three saves in the cage for Franklin.

Canton, 13 @ Milford, 2 – FinalCanton built a commanding 12-0 lead by halftime to pick up a win over the Hawks. Ryan Lodge led all scorers with four goals and three assists for the Bulldogs. Junior Joey Vaughan and freshman James Murphy each scored their first career goals in the win. Canton’s Jack Connolly, CJ Martin, and Dylan Cunningham split time in goal and each played well according to head coach Bill Bendell.

Stoughton, 2 @ Foxboro, 14 – FinalFoxboro’s Louis Piccolo scored four goals to pace the Warriors’ offense. Sam Blake added two goals while Brendan Tully had three assists.

King Philip, 7 @ Mansfield, 6 – FinalKing Philip scored the final two goals of the game, turning a deficit into a win over the Hornets. John DeLuca scored with four minutes to play to tie the game 6-6 and then with under two minutes to play, senior Tim Watson scored his goal of the game, which turned out to be the game-winner. Head coach Jamie Stefanini praised the team’s defensive effort, highlighting Connor Khung’s shutdown performance. Paul Macrina made 14 saves in the cage for the Warriors. Colin DeVellis added two goals for KP while Mike Curtain and Ben Palmer each scored once.

North Attleboro, 11 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – FinalNorth Attleboro put on a dominant performance in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 7-1 to pull away and earn a league win on the road. Zach McGowan (three assists), Tommy Lindstrom (assist) and Colin Young each scored a pair of goals to pace the Rocketeers’ offense. Dan MacDonald and Jack Dakin each had a goal and an assist while Owen Costello and Andy DeMattio each scored once. Hunter Sarro and Nick Moore each recorded an assist. North Attleboro’s Jack Puccio (four saves) and Jake McNeany (five saves) split time in the cage for North.

Franklin, 19 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalEleven players scored a goal in Franklin’s win and 13 players recorded at least a point for the Panthers. Hailey Toolin had three goals, Grace Platner and Kelsey MacCallum each had two goals and a pair of assists and Lauren DeStefano had four draw controls for Franklin.

James Johnston and Derek Wu won 6-0, 6-0 at first doubles and Tyler DiPalma and Rahul Hosdurg won 6-3, 6-0 at second doubles for the Panthers.

King Philip, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalKing Phillip won all five matches in straight sets, only dropping one single game in an impressive performance. Cole Ginter and Blake Ginter won 6-0, 6-0 at first and second singles, respectively while Martin Martous won 6-1, 6-0. The doubles teams of Ryan Gemelli and Sam Collella (first doubles) and Aidan Ignatius and Marco DiStefano (second) both won 6-0, 6-0.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Sharon, 4 – FinalIt was a clean sweep in singles play for the Eagles, who got another win at first doubles. Senior Griffin Fein won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles, junior Fred Bondar won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and Danujan Thirumavalavan won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles. The team of senior Alex Romantz and freshman Alberto Olivei won 6-1, 6-0 at first doubles. North Attleboro’s Andrew Harris and Vikram Senthilakumaran won 6-1, 6-4 at second doubles.

Attleboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalMansfield senior Paulina Martin won in straight sets without dropping a single game at first singles to pace the Hornets. Junior Sarah Doyle won 6-0, 6-3 at second singles and Elizabeth Elsner won 6-3, 6-1 at third singles for the Hornets. Senior Chloe Peters and sophomore Tessa Garufi won 6-2, 6-0 at second doubles for Mansfield. Attleboro senior Katie Furtado and Brooklyn Palermo won 7-6, 6-3 at second doubles.

Foxboro, 5 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalFoxboro notched a clean sweep, winning all three singles matches without losing a single game. Sophia Prinos, Lexi Nelson and Julia Muise each won 6-0, 6-0 at first, second and third singles, respectively. Kayla Prag and Olivia Dantona won 6-3, 6-2 at first doubles and Kendall Milender and Morgan Krockta won 6-1, 6-3 at second doubles.

North’s Gabby Duva and Azka Siddiq won 6-1, 6-2 at first doubles and Katie Demontigny and Hana Hershey rallied to win 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 (10-8) at second doubles.

Taunton, 1 @ Barnstable, 3 – FinalTaunton suffered its first loss of the season, losing 25-21, 26-24, 17-25, 25-20 to Barnstable. Lens Esquil had 14 kills, two blocks and an ace while Lance Law had 14 kills, two aces and a block for the Tigers.

King Philip, 8 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalKing Philip broke open a close game with six runs in the seventh inning to pick up a win on the road at Attleboro. The Warriors took the lead with two runs in the second inning but didn’t breakthrough again until the top of the seventh. In the top of the second, Ryan Coulter singled, stole second and then scored on a base hit from Chris Wing. Wing came across to score on a double by Patrick Limerick. Wing got the win on the mound for the Warriors, tossing a complete game with six hits allowed. The senior struck out eight batters in the win. In the seventh inning, Will Weir tripled in Kyle Guenthner, Weir came across on a single from Ben Furfari, Collin Cooke knocked in Furfari with a base hit and Jack Webster and Cooke scored on a double from Wing. Attleboro’s Tyler McGovern tossed five solid innings for the Bombardiers with two runs allowed.

North Attleboro, 11 @ Canton, 2 – FinalNorth Attleboro scored a pair of runs in each of the second and third innings and really created separation with a five-run fifth inning. Big Red added single runs in the sixth and seventh innings. Junior Nick Sinacola had a standout performance, both at the plate and on the mound for the Rockteers. He tossed six innings, scattering five hits with just one walk allowed while striking out eight. At the plate, Sinacola went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a triple, a run scored and three RBI. Kyle McCarthy added two hits, two runs and two RBI, John Brennan had a pair of hits and Zach DeMattio hit a solo home run.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 1 – FinalFranklin emerged from a pitcher’s duel with a 1-0 win, scoring the lone run in the bottom of the sixth inning. Franklin lefty Jason Ulrickson went the distance, tossing a complete game shutout with just four hits allowed. He walked just one batter while striking out three. Ulrickson also had a solid day at the plate, going 2-for-3. Oliver Ames sophomore Tom Parker also had a strong performance, going five-plus innings with just three hits against and two walks. The sophomore struck out a pair while allowing just the one. Franklin senior Ryan Hodgkins scored the lone run of the game, coming home on a sacrifice fly to right field from Josh Macchi. The Panthers had a strong game defensively, led by sophomore shortstop Alex Haba, who had eight putouts.

Mansfield, 0 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalJunior Tyler Medeiros shined in his first start of the season, striking out four while allowing just three hits and one walk in six scoreless innings. Trevor Pietrzyk and Danny Keogh (save) combined for a scoreless seventh inning to close the game. Taunton junior Joe Manchester singled in the fourth inning and came around to score after an errant pickoff attempt and a misplay in the outfield. Taunton tacked on a second run in the fifth. Billy Emerson singled, advanced to second on a sacrifice by David Schofield, advanced to third on a single from Matt Machado and scored on a single to left field from junior Jacob Crawford. “Tyler threw the ball exceptionally well today,” said first year head coach Blair Bourque. “He threw strikes and let his defense make plays for him. After the first inning he really settled in. He was mixing his pitches up and hitting corners.” Mansfield’s Nolan Dousa struck out six in six innings of work, scattering six hits. Max Boen had two hits for Mansfield.

Milford, 0 @ Stoughton, 15 – Final (5 inn.)For the second time in three games, Stoughton’s offense has reached double figures in hits and runs scored. The Black Knights belted 16 hits while coming across to score 15 runs. Stoughton senior Justin Hutchinson (3-for-4 at the plate with a double, two runs and an RBI) got the win on the mound, tossing four shutout innings with just two hits and one walk allowed, all while striking out seven batters. Sophomore Evan Gibb (2-for-3, three RBI, run) tossed a scoreless 1-2-3 fifth inning with a pair of strikeouts. Also hitting well for the Black Knights were Ruben Gonzalez (3-for-4, three runs, RBI, three stolen bases), Jack Connelly (2-for-2, double, home run, three runs, three RBI), Pat Hagerty (2-for-3, triple, RBI, three runs), Nick Hardy (2-for-3, double, run, two RBI), Matt Hadley (triple) and Ryan Sullivan (run, RBI).

Canton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 21 – Final (5 inn.)Bella Erti was perfect through five innings to pick up the victory for North Attleboro, striking out five of the 15 hitters she faced. Olivia Capobianco went 4-for-5 and Liz Morehouse went 3-for-4 for North. Also for the Rocketeers, Meg Barlow, Amelia Murphy (3-for-3 on the day), and Stephanie Inglese each had two-run homers.

Franklin, 13 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – FinalFranklin turned a 2-0 deficit into a big lead, plating 10 runs in the fourth inning and then adding three more runs in the sixth inning. Ally Shea had a hit and knocked in two runs for the Panthers while Meg Caron and Olivia Haba each knocked in three runs. Sophomore Emily Valentino tossed a complete game, striking out one to earn her first varsity win.

Taunton, 5 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalCourtney Fisher went the distance for the Tigers, tossing a three-hit shutout with six strikeouts. Hannah Aldrich went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored a pair of runs for Taunton, while Jaime Brown had a pair of hits and Kya Enos drove in a pair of runs. Sarah Cahill made her first varsity start for the Hornets and went five innings, allowing just five hits.

Stoughton, 2 @ Milford, 10 – FinalThe Scarlet Hawks broke the game open with a five-run third inning, turning a one-run deficit into a lead. Jess Tomaso (3-for-4, double, six RBI) had a three-run homer run and three batters later, Kelley Reichert (2-for-4) had a two run single to put Milford up 5-1. Shannon Cormier drew three walks and came around to score each time for Milford. Reichert got the win in the circle, tossing a complete game with five strikeouts.

Canton, 6 @ Scituate, 12 – FinalThe Bulldogs finally played their first game of the season, but fell on the road to a tough Scituate team. Sophomore Mike Shaw led the Bulldogs with three goals and one assist while Kevin Albert added three asses. Ryan Lodge scored a pair of goals, Dan Cohen netted one tally and Nick Allen chipped in with two assists. Freshman Jack Connolly played with in goal in his first varsity game, making 12 saves.

Franklin, 7 vs. BC High, 8 – Final

King Philip, 8 @ Bishop Feehan, 7 – FinalKing Philip overcame a plethora of penalties to edge out Bishop Feehan. The Warriors were down a man for over 16 minutes in the game but a great defensive effort and a stellar performance from Paul Macrina in goal helped KP hang on. Macrina made 16 saves in net while first year head coach Jamie Stefanini said Michael Curtain, Connor Khung, Zach D’Amico (goal), Wes Bishop and Garrett Maxwell all played outstanding. John DeLuca scored a pair of goals for KP while Tim Watson had one goal and two assists, Colin DeVellis had one goal and one assist and Ben Palmer and Robert Tartagulla each scored once.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Silver Lake, 5 – FinalOliver Ames shut out Silver Lake in the fourth quarter and scored three unanswered goals but fell just shy of completing its comeback against the Lakers. Senior Liam Brown, juniors Owen Gallagher and Eric LeBlanc and freshman Shane Kikelly each scored once for OA.

Girls Lacrosse
Foxboro, 7 @ Walpole, 8 – FinalSophia DiCenso and Caroline Boudreau each scored hat tricks for the Warriors and Meghan Curran added one. Freshman goalie Sara Addeche made six saves, as Foxboro held the defending Div. 2 state champions scoreless in the second half.

North Attleboro, 8 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalKatie Lindstrom, Erin Holley and Kenzie Rosenberg each scored two goals for the Rocketeers and goalie Kayla Moulin made 12 saves in the win.

Milford, 19 vs. Bellingham, 5 – Final

Oliver Ames, 7 @ Whitman-Hanson, 9 – FinalEmalyn Duvall recorded a hat trick and Sofia Masciarelli found the back of the net twice but the Tigers fell on the road at Whitman-Hanson. OA goalie Ari Waldorf made 14 saves for the Tigers.

Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalCole Ginter didn’t drop a game at first singles, the team of Ryan Gemelli and Sam Collela did the same at first doubles and KP won all five matches in straight sets to beat Attleboro. Canton junior Jake Wolicki won 6-1, 6-4 at first singles for the Bulldogs’ lone win.

Franklin, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalFranklin’s Tony Calderone and Dan Angermeier both made their varsity debuts, teaming up at second doubles and won in straight sets without losing a single game. The pair won 6-0, 6-0 at second doubles while the team of James Johnston and Derek Wu won by the same score at first doubles. Rahul Herur won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles, Eli Brooks won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and Rohan Herur won 6-0, 6-2 at third singles.

Oliver Ames swept doubles play as Tori Wyman and Kristin Bloumbas won 6-2, 7-5 at first doubles and freshmen Tate Hadges and Maura Kiernan won 6-1, 6-2 at second doubles.

Mansfield, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – Final – Taunton won all five matches in straight sets with Jillian Pagliuca taking the win at third singles without losing a game (6-0, 6-0). Olivia Sweeney won 6-4, 6-2 at first singles, Jordan Pagliuca won 6-2, 6-0 at second singles, Emily Moor and Ashleigh Eason won 6-2, 6-4 at first doubles and Callie Herbert and Jordan Martin won 6-2, 6-1 at second doubles.

Milford, 3 vs. Nipmuc, 1 – FinalMilford picked up its third win of the season, beating Nipmuc 25-21, 25-20, 16-25, 25-19. Outside hitter Jack Winship had 18 kills and 18 digs, middle Joao Boaventura had 10 kills, 11 digs and four blocks and setter Danny Zwonik finished with 37 assists, a block and an ace.

Taunton, 3 vs. Durfee, 1 – FinalThe Tigers defended home court with a 25-20, 25-16, 14-25, 25-21 win over the Hilltoppers on Monday. Lens Esquil had eight kills, three blocks and an ace, Lance Law had seven kills, a block and an ace, Collin Hunter added five kills, two blocks and two aces and David Fusiecki had six digs, two blocks, two kills and an ace.

Ruben Gonzalez went 4-for-5 with a triple, three runs and two RBI, Pat Hagerty was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, three runs and two RBI and Jack Connelly was 3-for-4 with a run and three RBI. Luke Johnson (double, triple, 3 RBI), Ryan Sullivan and Nick Hardy each had two hits. Justin Hutchinson (3-for-3, 2 RBI) earned the win on the mound, tossing 4.1 innings with four earned runs. The senior struck out 10, including six straight, and scattered three hits.

Mansfield, 15 @ Canton, 0 – FinalMansfield scored in each of the first five innings, including six in the third inning to break the game open. The Hornets connected for 15 hits and reached base on 11 walks. Senior Matt Farragher led the way from the nine hole, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored, Anthony DeGirolamo went 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored, Max Boen was 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored and Zach Peterson had a pair of hits, an RBI and a run scored. Nolan Dousa tossed a complete game shutout to earn the win, striking out six while allowing just three hits and one walk.

Foxboro, 1 @ King Philip, 2 – FinalSenior Kyle Guenthner initiated a game-ending 4-3 double play as the Warriors hung on for a 2-1 win over Foxboro. Foxboro loaded the bases in the seventh but Guenthner’s double play helped KP survive. Will Weir wen 2-3 with three stolen bases, scoring both of King Philip’s runs. First, Weir had a two-out single in the first inning, stole both second and third and then scored on an error. Weir scored again in the sixth, connecting on another two-out second, stealing second and then scoring on a single from Ben Furfari. Foxboro had tied the game in the fourth when AJ Bubencik singled, stole second and scored on two passed balls. Sophomore Jack Webster got his first career win, tossing two scoreless innings in relief with just two hits allowed. Junior Jackson Sheibler went 4.1 innings, allowing just one hit and one run and junior Jeremy Rhines got the save with a scoreless seventh inning.

Taunton, 3 @ North Attleboro, 2 – FinalNorth Attleboro seized the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fifth but Taunton responded, grabbing two runs in the top of the sixth to edge the Rocketeers. The Tigers cashed in on three walks and two hit batters to pushed across the tying and winning run. Taunton’s David Schofield earned the walk to draw in the game-winning run in the top of the sixth. Joe Manchester (1-for-3, run) and Jack Moynihan also had an RBI for Taunton, while Matt Machado had two hits. Moynihan tossed four scoreless innings while striking out five. Danny Keogh earned the win, throwing 2.2 scoreless innings with one strikeout. North Attleboro’s Nate Pearce (3-for-4, double, triple, RBI) allowed just one run in five innings of work. Zach DeMattio added two hits, an RBI and a run and Nick Crawley added a pair of hits for the Rocketeers.

Sharon, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 6 – FinalOliver Ames got its offense going early, scoring in the first inning for the second straight game and then adding four more runs in the third inning. Junior Mitch Goulet had a pair of hits in the win for the Tigers.

Softball
Attleboro, 2 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalMcKenzie Bergdoll made an impact both in the circle and at the plate, leading the Bombardiers to a walk-off win over Stoughton. Bergdoll tossed a complete game, scattering six hits while striking out nine. Attleboro was the home team despite the change of venue, giving them the opportunity to bat last. In the bottom of the seventh, Bergdoll connected for a double, driving in MacKenzie Killough (2-for-4) for the winning run. AHS head coach Mark Homer said Jordyn Lako and Ashley Macia had strong games defensively for the Bombardiers.

Canton, 7 @ Mansfield, 14 – Final Megan Letendre pitched a complete game for the Hornets allowing six hits and striking out six batters. She also went 1-for-3 with an RBI at the plate. Kara Bendanillo went 4-for-5 with a pair of RBI and Kerran Holmes went 2-for-3 and drove in four runs for Mansfield. Caty DeMassi had three hits and Hayley McGowan had two for the Hornets. Lillian Carrington and Samantha Keefe each hit a home run for the Bulldogs.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Taunton, 8 – FinalCourtney Fisher picked up the win with a complete game, allowing only one run on six hits, while striking out four. MacKenzie Handrahan powered the offense, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, and Kya Enos chipped in with two hits and two RBI and Katie Van Zandt hit a homer for Taunton. North Attleboro junior Amelia Murphy was 2-for-3 with a double.

Mansfield, 12 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalMansfield raced out to a 6-2 lead and kept that pace up in the second half to earn the win over Attleboro. Mansfield junior Hunter Ferreira had his way, scoring eight goals while notching an assist as well. Midfield Joe Cox was a top distributor, recording five assists while finding the back of the net once. Cullen Murphy and Danny DeGirolamo each scored once and had two assists and Sam O’Connell scored once. Sean Powers made nine saves in net for the Hornets.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Foxboro, 6 – FinalFoxboro goalie Jake Addeche turned away 11 shuts and Pat Stapleton had a strong game on defense with five groundballs as the Warriors blanked Oliver Ames. Foxboro scored three goals in each half, led by Trey Guerini’s two goals and one assist. Sophomore Pete Conley scored once and had two assists while Brendan Tully, Mike Collins and Sam Blake each scored once in the win.

North Attleboro, 6 @ Franklin, 7 – Final Franklin held a 3-2 lead at half, extended it to 7-3 early in the fourth quarter and then held off North Attleboro’s late charge of three straight goals. Franklin goalie Connor O’Rourke had 10 saves and came up big in the final minute as the Panthers held on to their one goal lead. Chase Tanner scored twice and had one assist to lead the Panthers, Kyle McEinry and Packie Watson each scored once and had an assist, Sam Arsenault had a pair of assists and Nitin Chaudhury and Jake Davis each scored once. North Attleboro’s Dan MacDonald made 15 saves to keep the Rocketeers in the contest while both Jack Dakin and Zach McGowan scored twice and had one assist. Tommy Lindstrom added a goal and an assist and Nick Moore also found the back of the net for Big Red.

Sharon, 6 @ King Philip, 14 – FinalThe Warriors opened the season with a win as senior Tim Watson accounted for eight points and classmate Paul Macrina made 13 saves in goal. Watson scored five goals and had three assists while sophomore Colin DeVellis scored twice and had three assists. John DeLuca scored twice and had one assist and Zach D’Amico had one goal, one assist and 11 groundballs for the Warriors.

North Attleboro, 7 @ Franklin, 13 – FinalNorth Attleboro took a 4-3 lead into the halftime break but Franklin’s offense came to life with 10 second half goals. Seven different Panthers found the back of the net, led by senior Kendall Reardon’s four goals. Annie Walsh, Erin Walsh and Kelsey MacCallum each scored two goals for Franklin. Freshman Gianna Cameron made nine saves in net while head coach Kristin Igoe Guarino said freshman Alex Field played well defensively and on the draw.

King Philip, 13 @ Sharon, 7 – FinalKing Philip raced out to a 8-2 lead at halftime and never looked back to open the season with a win over Sharon. Katie Crowther, Meg Wagner and Caroline Klim each scored a pair of goals in the for the Warriors while Alli Meehan, Angela Vellante, Dana Truini, Victoria Tormey and MacKenzie Mazur each scored once. Caroline Watson made 13 saves in net for KP.

Taunton, 12 @ Milford, 11 – Final (OT)Taunton won its second game in a row to start the season thanks to a game-winning overtime goal by eighth grader Alana Tavares, her sixth of the game and 11th in the first two games of her varsity career. Delaney Powell chipped in with three goals for the Tigers and Lorna Li made 12 saves. Emily Hayley had three goals for the Hawks, while Jordyn Lombardo, Taylor Dube, and Jill Burley each had two.

Stoughton, 2 @ Attleboro, 3 – FinalAttleboro’s Shawn Gordon and Abdul Khatib each won three set thrillers to help the Bombardiers edge Stoughton and pick up their first win of the season. Shawn Gordon won 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 at first singles and Khatib won 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 at third singles. The team of Eli Araujo and Ryan Gordon picked up a 6-0, 6-4 win at second doubles. Stoughton’s Tony Jordan won 6-1, 6-3 at second singles and the team of Jon Podesta and Erik Anderson won 6-4, 0-6, 6-4 at first doubles.

Foxboro, 3 @ King Philip, 2 – FinalFoxboro’s Andre Jabari won the deciding match, winning in a three-set thriller at second singles to help the Warriors edge King Philip. Jabari dropped the first set 6-7 (7-9) but battled back to win the next two 6-3, 6-3 to earn Foxboro the win. Foxboro swept doubles play for its other two points. The team Shawn McNamara and Matt Tierney won 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 at first doubles and Brandon Wasserman and Ben Dorman won 6-4, 6-2 at second doubles. King Philip’s Cole Ginter won 6-1, 6-1 at first singles and Blake Ginter won 6-3, 6-3 at third singles.

Milford, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – FinalFranklin picked up a sweep, winning all five matches in straight sets to beat Milford. Rahul Herur won 6-3, 6-4 at first singles, Eli Brooks won 6-3, 6-0 at second singles and Rohan Herur won 6-3, 6-2 at third singles. Mansfield’s fourth win came from the team of Chloe Peters and Tessa Garufi, notching a 6-0, 6-1 victory at first doubles. Canton’s Jenna Paynter and Stelina Michaelidis won 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles.

King Philip, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – FinalFoxboro swept singles play to edge King Philip on Wednesday afternoon. Sophia Prinos won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, Lexi Nelson didn’t lose a game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at second singles and Julia Muise won 7-5, 6-1 at third singles to clinch the win for the Warriors. King Philip’s Corrine Palumbo and Carly Adams won 6-4, 6-1 at first doubles and the team of Lucy Barnard and Caitlin Gonser won 6-2, 6-3 at second doubles.

Franklin, 3 @ Milford, 2 – FinalFranklin won in straight sets at first and second singles and then used three-set win at second doubles to edge the Scarlet Hawks. Senior Hannah Sweeney didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles and classmate Anja Deric won 6-1, 6-4 at second doubles. The team of senior Julia Hogan and junior Jillian McLaughlin won the deciding point with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 decision at second doubles. Milford’s Caitlin Cafarella won 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) at third singles and the team of seniors Victoria Beyer and Daniella Arojo won 6-2, 6-4 at first doubles.

Taunton, 1 @ North Attleboro, 4 – FinalNorth Attleboro had to claw back at both first singles and first doubles to claim a win over North Attleboro in a rematch of last season’s epic playoff showdown. North’s Emily Chiasson dropped the first set 0-6 but rallied back to win the next two, 6-4, 6-1. The team of Gabby Duva and Azka Siddiq fell behind after losing the first set 2-6, but won a huge tiebreaker 10-8 to win the second set 7-6 and then took the third 6-3. Jordan Willis won 6-1, 6-0 at second singles and the team of Katie Demontigny and Hana Hershey won 6-0, 6-3 at second doubles for Big Red. Taunton’s Jillian Pagliuca won 6-0, 6-2 at third singles for the Tigers.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Sharon, 4 – FinalSophomore Nupur Shukla and freshman Emily Zhang won in straight sets, at first and second singles respectively, without dropping a game as the Eagles picked up the win. The team of juniors Katie Merport and Emily Wen won 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles and sophomore Sachi Bhasin and Sydney Gordon won 6-0, 6-3 at second doubles. Oliver Ames freshman Maura Kiernan made her varsity debut with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 win at third singles.

Taunton, 3 @ North Quincy, 0 – FinalTaunton picked up its third straight sweep and second in a row on the road with a 25-14, 25-21, 25-21 win over North Quincy. The Tigers used a balanced attack with Lens Esquil leading the way with 12 kills and three blocks. Malik Charles added six kills and one block, David Fusiecki had six kills and four aces and Collin Hunter had five kills and two blocks.

#4 Taunton, 1 vs. #13 Brookline, 2 – Final (8 inn.) – Luke Figueira pitched seven innings without surrendering an earned run but the Tigers couldn’t overcome a run by the Warriors in the top of the eighth inning. Figueira struck out seven and allowed three hits and four walks in a no decision. Christian Simoes, Jack Moynihan and Matt Machado each had two hits for Taunton, which totaled 11 hits as a team.

#9 Franklin, 4 @ #8 Durfee, 6 – Final – Franklin took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning but the Hilltoppers climbed back into the game with four in the bottom half and added single runs in the second and third. Offensively, Nick Santucci went 1-3 with an RBI, a walk and a run scored, Brad Jarosz was 2-3, Mike Skaza knocked in a run and both Steve Ferguson and Alex Bissanti scored a run for the Panthers. Sophomore Jake Noviello pitched well in relief for the Panthers, tossing four innings with just one run allowed while striking out five.

#12 Oliver Ames, 0 @ #5 Nauset, 9 – Final – Oliver Ames only registered a pair of hits against Nauset pitcher Paul Prue, who tossed a complete game shutout with seven strikeouts. Senior Josh Minuskin had a triple and sophomore Matt Muir had a single for OA.

#14 Canton, 1 @ #3 Middleboro, 0 – Final (9 inn.) – Canton senior Kevin Powers tossed a complete game, nine inning shutout to lead the Bulldogs past the defending D2 State Champions. Powers worked around a bases loaded situation in the bottom of the eighth and the Bulldogs went on to score the winning run in the top of the ninth. Jim Jenkins had his second hit of the game, a double, and moved to third on a bunt from Jimmy Hamrock. Sean Doyle then connected and Jenkins came home to score on an error. Powers stretched his scoreless inning streak to 24 straight, scattering five hits while striking out six batters. Mike McMahon also had two hits for Canton while Joe Peccia (11 putouts), Joe Bires and Matt Casamento each had a hit.

#14 North Attleboro, 7 vs. #19 Walpole, 8 – Final – North Attleboro rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning but were unable to push the tying run across the plate. Liz Morehouse connected for a two-run home run and Kaylea Sherman had three hits on the day.

#16 Mansfield, 4 vs. #17 Notre Dame Academy 0 – Final – The Hornets scored all four runs in the third inning and senior pitcher Maddie Letendre struck out 12 while allowing just two hits as Mansfield advanced in the tournament. Megan Letendre and Marissa Staffier (2-3) each knocked in a run and Maddie Letendre (1-3) singled to score them both to take a 4-0 lead. Bri Homer and Jocelyn Reardon (1-2) scored runs for the Hornets. Mady Bendanillo, Kara Bendanillo and Rachel Carafa each added a hit for the Hornets.

#23 Oliver Ames, 4 @ #10 Norwood, 8 – Final – Oliver Ames scored three runs in the first inning and added another in the second but the Mustangs offense proved to be too much. Missy Krim (2-3, run scored) reached on a single to left, advanced on a bunt single from Rachel Han and bunt single from Victoria Ziner (2-4, run scored) loaded the bases. Jamie Gottwald (1-4, RBI, run scored) batted in a run for OA and then scored off a two-RBI hit from Caroline Mahoney (2-3, two RBI).

#1 Franklin, 11 vs. #8 Newton North, 3 – Final – Franklin raced out to a 7-0 lead at half and held the Tigers of Newton North scoreless for the first 35 minutes of the game. Kenzie Pleshaw had four goals to lead Franklin while Julia Jette had one goal three assists, Diana Griffin scored twice and had a pair of assists. Head coach Kristin Igoe credited her defense with a very strong game, led by Sam Jones, who won six draws and two ground balls.

#8 North Attleboro, 10 @ #1 Walpole, 20 – FinalHana Caster scored four goals for the Rocketeers and Mackenzie Rosenberg added three in the loss.

Tom Mancini and James Johnston continued their stellar seasons with a 6-2, 6-1 win at first doubles and Jeremy Gan and Derek Wu won 6-0, 6-1 at second doubles. Mansfield’s Benny Lin won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles.

Pat Hagerty paced Stoughton’s offense from the lead off spot, going 3-4 with an RBI and a stolen base and Ryan Sullivan also added three hits, a stolen base and a run scored for the Black Knights. Joe Piana broke up a 2-2 game in the fifth inning with a two run single, Justin Hutchinson had a pair of hits and Doug Seaman (2-4, two RBI) helped cement the win with a home run in the top of the seventh.

Foxboro, 1 @ Sharon, 0 – Final – Aaron Wentling dazzled on the mound, striking out seven in a complete game two-hit shutout effort for the Warriors. Foxboro’s lone run came via junior Cam Feldman with an RBI fielder’s choice.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Franklin, 6 – Final – North Attleboro plated four runs in the first inning but Franklin’s bullpen limited the Rocketeers to just three hits over the final 6.2 innings and the Panthers offense chipped away to get the win and qualify for the state tournament. Bryan Woelfel came in with one out and the bases loaded in the first and was able to limit the damage for Franklin. Woelfel went five innings, allowing two hits and one earned run while striking out three. Ryan Morse got the win, allowing just a hit in 1.2 innings. Franklin scored a run in the first, two more in the third and two more in the fifth to take a 5-4 lead. North tied the game in the top of the sixth but sophomore Steven Luttazi scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth for the Panthers. Sophomore Jason Ulrickson went 2-3 and knocked in a pair of runs, Mike Skaza was 1-1 with a pair of walks, an RBI and a run scored and Tyler Gomes went 1-3 with an RBI and a double. Ryan Hodgkins (2-4) scored twice for Franklin and Cam Benham scored once. Andy Katch went 2-3 for North while Zach DeMattio had two RBI for Big Red.

Sophomore Matt Muir cleared the bases with a three run triple, giving the Tigers the lead. Chris Romero, Josh Minuskin and Ryan Adams each had three hits on the day for OA while Muir, Matt Mancini and Chris Pearsons each had two.

Mansfield, 6 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Mansfield senior Maddie Letendre tossed her first no-hitter of the season, striking out seven in the win. The Hornets took a 1-0 lead in the fifth and then tacked on five more runs in the sixth. Consecutive singles from Bri Homer, Jocelyn Reardon and Marissa Staffier resulted in the first run. In the sixth inning, Kara Bendanillo singled, Mady Bendanillo walked, Maddie Letendre had an RBI single, Rachel Carafa had a two RBI single, Reardon knocked in a pair with a double, Marissa Staffier knocked in another run and Megan Letendre singled.

Canton, 3 @ Stoughton, 7 – Final – Karly Estremera and Sam Tullis set the pace for Stoughton’s offense, each scoring two runs each. Estremera hit a triple and stole two bases including a delayed steal of home while Sam Tullis added a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the fifth. Gina Carafa pitched seven innings, striking out five while giving up one earned run.

Sharon, 1 @ Foxboro, 9 – Final – Foxboro celebrated its seniors with a hit parade, totaling 12 as a team. Emma Rohan struck out 10 while allowing just three base runners (two hits and a walk). Offensively, Kelli McCarthy went 2-4 with two RBI, Hannah Davis was 3-4 with a home run, a pair of doubles and three RBI, Kelly Fisher and Kayley Tran each went 2-4 while Chelsea Gibbons was 2-3 on the day for the Warriors.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – The Panthers used a suicide squeeze to score the winning run in bottom of the seventh for the win. Olivia DiGiacomo laid down a bunt with one out to score courtesy runner Kerry Blaney for the win. Maddie Connelly got things started in the final inning with a lead off double and moved to third on a single from Clara DeCarvalho (2-4, RBI double), who moved to second on the throw. A passed ball gave Franklin a shot to score the run but North was able to get the runner at home. After a walk to Alexx Niss (2-3, RBI double), DiGiacomo squeezed in the run. Before the winning run, Franklin rallied from a 4-2 deficit to tie the game in the sixth. Olivia Haba (2-3) led off with a single and pinch hitter Kim Moulton blasted a two-run home run to the game. Caroline D’Aprile got the win for Franklin, striking out five. Meg Barlow had three hits for the Rocketeers and Mycala Moody and Kaylea Sherman each had two.

Taunton, 2 @ King Philip, 0 – Final – Strong defense helped anchor Taunton’s season sweep over the Warriors. Taunton head coach Dave Lewry said Jordan Wade played great at shortstop and Meghan Navarro did the same at second base. Lewry also pointed to Bailey Clapp’s outfield assist in the fifth, throwing out a runner with Sarah Bagge applying the tag at home. Aimee Kistner struck out four, allowing three hits in a complete game shutout. Liana Duarte went 2-4 with a run scored and a stolen base, Jaime Brown was 1-3 with a double and Bagge went 2-3.

Milford, 15 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final (5 inn.) – Milford clinched at least a share of its fourth straight Davenport title, winning at least a share of the division ever since joining the Hockomock. Jess Tomaso was a perfect 4-4 at the plate, including a two run home run, and finished with five RBI. Kaitlyn DeCapua knocked in four runs on three hits, including a double, while Megan Jacques went 2-4 with an RBI. Kelley Reichert struck out four while scattering three hits for Milford. Jamie Gottwald went 2-2 with an RBI and a double for OA.

Foxboro, 6 @ Mansfield, 10 – Final – Mansfield built a 9-1 lead in the fourth quarter and held off a late push by the Warriors. Ryan Smith had two goals and two assists to lead the Hornets while Connor Finerty also found the back of the net twice. Josh Schafer, Sam O’Connell, Hunter Ferreira (two assists), Joe Cox, Billy Grant and Jon Reed each scored once for Mansfield. Sean Powers made 13 saves in net for the Hornets.

North Attleboro, 6 @ King Philip, 8 – Final – King Philip built a 4-1 lead by the end of the first quarter and never trailed in a battle against North Attleboro. Senior Sam Agricola led the way offensively with three goals and an assist and junior Tim Watson potted two goals and had one assist. Harry Fallon had two helpers for KP while Anthony Truini, John DeLuca and Zach D’Amico (six ground balls) each scored once. Steven Eaton led the Warriors with 10 ground balls and KP head coach Jacob Kravitz praised the work of sophomore midfielder Nate Minkwitz (five ground balls) for his excellent defense.

North Attleboro’s Julia Mark won 6-4, 6-4 at first singles, Jordan Willis won 6-0, 6-2 at second singles and Allie Grinavic swept 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. The team of Jhanavi Kapadia and Emily Chiasson won 7-5, 6-3 at first doubles and Gabby Duva and Katie Demontigny secured a 6-3, 6-2 win at second doubles for the Rocketeers.

Tellier struck out 13 batters while allowing just one hit to keep the Kelley-Rex leading King Philip Warriors at bay. At the plate Tellier had a pair of hits. Freshman Dakota Kirby was a perfect 3-3 for Attleboro, having an RBI single in the fifth inning that made it 2-0. Senior Tyler Stowe have Attleboro the lead two at bats prior, singling in Brent Cook.

Milford, 14 @ Canton, 6 – Final

Foxboro, 0 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Stoughton junior Ryan Sullivan had one of his best outings of the year on the mound for the Black Knights, striking out 10 in a complete game shutout. Sullivan scattered five hits with just one walk and didn’t allow a run. The Black Knights’ offense cashed in in the bottom of the third. After Doug Seaman singles and stole second, Jack Connelly knocked in his team-leading 16th run of the season with a two-out single. Seaman went 2-3 and Connelly reached base twice with a stolen base.

Taunton, 2 @ Franklin, 6 – Final – Franklin turned a two run lead in the fourth inning to a comfortable cushion in a league win over Taunton. Nick Santucci connected for a two-out RBI triple in the inning, finishing the game 3-4 with a run. Jake Lyons added two RBI while Joe Corsi was 2-3 with an RBI and three runs scored. Josh Macchi added two hits, including a double, and scored a run for the Panthers. Sophomore Jason Ulrickson was solid on the mound in a complete game effort, scattering five hits while walking one to get the win. Ulrickson struck out four with just one walk. Taunton’s Kevin Griffin went 2-3 with an RBI while Luke Figueira (2-3) and Joe Manchester (1-3) each scored a run for the Tigers.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 2 – Final – North Attleboro’s Andy Katch had no-hit Mansfield through five innings but the Hornets were finally able to break through in the sixth inning. Aidan Cahill got the team’s first hit with a one out single and Mike Arnold was hit by a pitch to reach. A sacrifice fly from Tyrone Pascual advanced the runners and Jake Tryder connected for a two-RBI double to score the only runs of the game. Jake Neureuter got the win for Mansfield, allowing just three hits in a complete game shutout. Neureuter struck out three and issued three walks in the win.

Sharon, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – Final (8 inn.) – Oliver Ames walked off with a win for the second straight game and seniors Josh Minuskin and Ryan Adams were right in the middle of it. After Minuskin’s home run tied the game on Friday against Mansfield, he led of the bottom of the eighth inning with a single. Two wild pitches later, Minuskin was at third and Adams, who scored the winning run on Friday, knocked in the winning run. Senior Zach Sato pitched a two-hit shutout complete game for Oliver Ames, striking out four. Sharon sophomore starter Max Tarlin pitched seven scoreless innings for the Eagles.

Attleboro, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – Final

Canton, 1 @ Milford, 12 – Final – Milford’s Ali Atherton carried a no hitter through the sixth inning before the Bulldogs’ offense broke through. Atherton finished with eight strikeouts in a complete game to get the win. Offensively, freshman Emily Hartman had his first career home run for the Scarlet Hawks, blasting a two run shot. Jess Tomaso was 2/2 with a pair of walks and two RBI while Kaitlyn DeCapua was 2-4 with an RBI.

Stoughton, 5 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final – Stoughton scored all five runs in the fifth inning and held off a Foxboro four-run rally in the seventh. Bri Fernandez, Karly Estremera, and Gina Carafa each had two hits for the Black Knights. Shannon Flaherty threw a complete game with six strikeouts to pick up the win.

Taunton, 6 @ Franklin, 2 – Final – The Tigers’ offense cashed in in the fifth and sixth innings to get the win over the Panthers. Taunton scored four runs in the fifth and then tacked on two more in the sixth inning while Franklin scored twice in the seventh. Aimee Kistner got her 11th win of the season, striking out five while scattering four hits in a complete game effort. Kistner also paced the offense, going 4-4 with a pair of RBI while Jordan Wade was 3-3 with a triple, a walk and an RBI. Jaime Brown went 1-2 for the Tigers with a sac bunt, a walk and an RBI and Kya Enos added a double and an RBI. Allie Shea went 1-2 for Franklin with a pair of walks and knocked in both of the Panthers’ runs.

Mansfield, 2 @ North Attleboro, 6 – Final The Rocketeers turned to small ball to get its offense going, plating all six runs in the fifth inning. With one out in the inning, North Attleboro had eight straight batters reach and it resulted in six runs. Big Red had a pair of infield hits and a pair of bunt singles to get the offense going. Kaylea Sherman and Megan Barlow each went 2-3 at the plate for North while Gina Miceli was a perfect 3-3. Amelia Murphy struck out nine in a complete game effort for the Rocketeers. Mansfield responded with its two runs in top of the sixth off of four hits. Marissa Staffier went 1-2, Megan Letendre was 2-3, Mady Bendanillo went 1-3 with an RBI and Maddie Letendre was 1-2 with an RBI. Maddie Letendre struck out 10 batters while allowing seven hits for Mansfield.

Oliver Ames, 14 @ Sharon, 10 – Final – The Oliver Ames Tigers belted out 17 hits on the day, using its offense to best Sharon. Victoria Ziner was 3-5 with two RBI, including a home run, and two runs scored, Katie Pursley went 4-4 with four RBI, including a pair of home runs and a triple and scoring two runs for OA. Jamie Gottwald was 3-5 with a triple an RBI and three runs scored, Rachel Han scored three runs and Dalene Gomes (2-5) and Emma Papargiris (1-4, two RBI) each had a triple and scored for OA while Caroline Mahoney (2-5) also had an RBI and a run scored for the Tigers.

Canton, 11 vs. Abington, 8 – Final – Canton built a 3-0 lead and that was all the separation that the Bulldogs needed to beat Abington. Shaun Kirby was the driving force behind the offense, registering a hat trick and adding a trio of assists in teh win. Thomas Monagle and Kevin Albert returned to net a goal each while Dan Nadeau stretched his goal scoring streak to two games. Canton got a boost from sophomore Charlie O’Connor, who dominated at the faceoff X for the Bulldogs.

North Attleboro, 19 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final – It was a day of milestones for North Attleboro in a non-league win over rival Attleboro. Hana Caster found the back of the net for the 200th time in her career while teammate Erin Holley notched her 100th career goal in the win.

Canton, 13 @ Milton, 8 – Final – Canton head coach Chrissy O’Connor praised the defense of Lauren Peplau and Tessa Cudmore, saying they played excellent in the Bulldogs’ win. Lindsey Nolte paced the offense, potting four goals for Canton.

Justin Rohan and Marco DiStefano won 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles for KP. Attleboro’s Zain Yusuf and Shaun Gordon battled for a 7-5, 6-4 win at first singles.

Alex Romantz and Adam Dobbin swept 6-0, 6-0 at first doubles and Tilak Mehta and Danujan Thirumavalavan also swept 6-0, 6-0 at second doubles. Moynihan allowed four hits while striking out four Whaler batters. Wade went 4-5 with a triple and a pair of RBI while Navarro was 2-5 with the three RBI. Kya Enos went 3-5 with an RBI, Aimee Kistner had a home run, Becka Lajoie went 2-2 with a double and an RBI and Courtney Fisher was 2-2 with a double and three RBI. Kistner got her 10th win of the season, tossing four scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Fisher pitched the final two innings, striking out three while allowing one run.

Taunton, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – Final – The Taunton Tigers picked up their third win in a row, sweeping doubles play and getting one win at singles to edge OA. Mike Briggs won 6-2, 6-3 at third singles, the team of Connor Briggs and Charlie Fiske won 7-6, 7-5 at first doubles and Kyle Medas and Dylan Kullas won 6-3, 6-3 at second doubles for Taunton. OA’s Thomas O’Leary and Greg Weinstein won in straight sets at first and second singles, respectively.

Sharon, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final – Sharon only lost a single game in all three singles matches combined to get the win. Sophomore Lulu Yuan won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles, freshman Nupur Shulka won 6-0, 6-0 at second singles and Emily Wen won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles. The team of Akhila Songadi and Sydney Gordon won 7-5, 6-7 (3-7), 10-5 at first doubles and freshmen Sophia Fein and Sachi Bhasin won 7-5, 6-2 at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 5 vs. Durfee, 0 – Final – All three of North Attleboro’s single players won in straight sets without losing a single game to spark Big Red. Julia Mark, Jordan Willis and Shurobhi Nandi all won 6-0, 6-0 at first, second and third singles respectively. The team of Emily Chiasson and Gabby Duva won 6-1, 6-2 at first doubles and Katie Demontigny and Azka Siddiq paired up for a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Attleboro, 3 @ Franklin, 4 – Final – Franklin rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh, the second scored by Jake Lyons (1-3, BB) on a wild pitch as the Panthers walked off with the win. Junior Tyler Gomes went 2-3 with a pair of RBI and Mike Skaza also added two hits for Franklin. Nick Santucci added a double, a walk and two runs scored. Ryan Morse earned the win after pitching a scoreless top half of the seventh. Bryan Woelful pitched a scoreless sixth in relief while sophomore Jake Noviello got a no decision after five innings of work, striking out seven with four walks. Attleboro’s Nate Tellier pitched six innings, striking out eight and scattering six hits. Jon Dunn went 3-3 with a walk for the Bombardiers, James Weir went 2-4 with two RBI and Patrick Collins had two hits, including a double.

Canton, 12 @ Foxboro, 5 – Final – Kevin Powers knocked in four runs and Mike McMahon had four hits as Canton’s offense tied its highest output of the season. McMahon was 4-5 with three runs scored and a stolen base while Powers had two hits, including a triple and a run scored. Joe Peccia added three RBI, connecting for a home run and three runs scored, Joe Bires knocked in a pair of runs and Jim Jenkins also had an RBI. Daniel Harnett went 1-2 with an RBI sacrifice fly and sophomore Matthew Casamento was 3-4 with two runs scored. Powers got the win on the mound, throwing four innings with seven strikeouts and two earned runs allowed. Steve Gorham pitched the final three innings with four strikeouts.

Mansfield, 6 @ King Philip, 7 – Final – Senior Jake Cavanagh took the mound in the seventh inning with the Warriors clinging to a one run lead, inheriting runners at second and third with just one out. But Cavanagh got out the jam, inducing a grounder to short and a fly ball to center to notch his first save of the year. Will Weir, Kyle Guenthner, Jake Lannigan and Jon Rolfe each had two hits for the Warriors. Rolfe got the win on the mound for KP, going 5.2 innings.

Sharon, 0 @ Milford, 8 – Final – Milford junior Blake Hill needed just 81 pitches in a three-hit complete game effort, striking out eight on the mound to earn the shutout win. Hill helped his cause at the plate, going 2-4 with two RBI and a triple. Sophomore Aidan Wilde also had two hits for the Scarlet Hawks, going 2-3 with a double and three RBI.

Oliver Ames, 12 @ Stoughton, 2 – Final – Oliver Ames’ Josh Minuskin led the way with four hits for the Tigers while Chris Romero recorded three hits in the game.

Softball
Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 12 – Final (5 inn.) – Clara DeCarvalho belted a three run home run and Julia Arms, Olivia DiGiacomo and Maddie Connelly all knocked in a pair of runs in Franklin’s big win. DeCarvalho went 2-4 with four RBI on the day while Connelly was 2-4, Arms went 2-2 with a walk and DiGiacomo was 1-3. Alex Niss added two hits at the plate for the Panthers. Kim Moulton and Amanda Mandall connected for a 6-3-2 double play, halting a threat from the Bombardiers. Caroline D’Aprile tossed three shutout innings with four strikeouts while Emily Sawyer pitched a scoreless final two innings.

Foxboro @ Canton, 3:45

King Philip, 6 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – King Philip scored a pair of runs in each the fourth and fifth innings and capped it with another run in the seventh inning. Kali Magane pitched five innings, allowing just two hits and one unearned run while Jenn Hutynan pitched the final two innings, allowing just one hit. Magane helped her cause by knocking in a pair of runs in the top of the fourth and then Hailey McCasland knocked in Christa Wagner and Elise Pereira knocked in McCasland. Sydney Phillips knocked in a run with a triple in the seventh. Liz Mackin, Rachel Carafa and Megan Letendre each had a hit for the Hornets, who received a strong pitching performance from Maddie Letendre. Letendre struck out seven while scattering six hits.

Milford, 12 @ Sharon, 0 – Final (6 inn.) – Milford’s Kelley Reichert took a no hitter into the sixth inning, eventually finishing with a one-hit complete game shutout effort, striking out six for the Scarlet Hawks. Megan Jacques went 2-3 with a double and two RBI, Emily Hartman had a triple and an RBI, Jess Tomaso had a triple and two RBI and Kate Irwin was 2-3 with two stolen bases for Milford.

North Attleboro, 2 @ Taunton, 7 – Final – North Attleboro became the first team to score an earned run on the Tigers, plating a pair in the fourth inning. But Taunton pitcher Aimee Kistner only allowed five hits in the game with five strikeouts and the Tigers played “outstanding team defense” according to head coach Dave Lewry. Meghan Navarro was a perfect 4-4 at the plate with an RBI and Jaime Brown went 3-3 with three RBI. Katie Van Zandt was 2-3 with an RBI and Becka Lajoie added a base hit RBI for Taunton. North Attleboro’s Jordan Sharpe (single) and Liz Morehouse (double) were both knocked in by a Kaylea Sherman double for North Attleboro’s runs.

Oliver Ames, 10 @ Stoughton, 4 – Final – Victoria Ziner and Jamie Gottwald combined for 12 put outs in the field, backing up a complete game effort from pitcher Kayla Georgeu. The Tigers had 11 hits spread out through the lineup. Ziner was 2-3 with three runs scored, a stolen base and an RBI, Gottwald was 2-2 with two walks, a triple, an RBI and three runs scored, Missy Krim went 2-4 with a double and a run scored, Katie Pursley had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored for OA. Emma Papargiris and Jordyn Leite each knocked in two runs for the OA, Caroline Mahoney had an RBI and Rachel Han scored a run.

Taunton, 7 @ Milford, 5 – Final – Taunton rallied three times from deficits (2-0, 4-2, 5-4) to earn the program’s first varsity win and it’s first Hockomock League win. Freshman Ryan Williams played his best game according to head coach Kris Metea, limiting the Scarlet Hawks to just one early goal in the second half. Williams made 14 saves, with six of his nine second half saves coming in the final quarter. Senior Jason Stern recorded a hat trick to pace Taunton’s offense while sophomore Cam Welby scored twice and had one assist. Eighth grader Tommy Joyce recorded two points with a goal and an assist, junior Lee Gobin scored once and senior Kyle Hebert had an assist.

Attleboro, 0 @ Franklin, 5 – Final – Franklin freshman Dan Barrow didn’t drop a single game at third singles, winning 6-0, 6-0 to spark the Panthers. Junior Rahul Herur won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles and classmate Eli Brooks battled back for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win at second singles. James Johnston and Tom Mancini won 6-1, 6-0 at first doubles and Tyler DiPalma and Derek Wu won 6-1, 6-2 at second doubles for Franklin.

Canton, 1 @ Foxboro, 4 – Final

Mansfield, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – Final – King Philip took care of business in doubles play and secured the victory with one win at singles to beat Mansfield. Sam Colella and Ryan Gemelli continued their strong season with a 6-2, 6-2 win at first doubles and Justin Rohan and Marco DiStefano won 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles. Garrett Schneider clinched the win with a convincing 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles. Mansfield’s Benny Lin notched a 6-4, 6-4 win at first singles and Gus Daganhardt picked up a 7-5, 6-2 win at third singles.

Taunton, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – Final – North Attleboro won all five matches in straight sets to beat Taunton. Senior Mitchell Dyer won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, junior Zack Pfeffer won 6-0, 6-3 at second singles and junior Barsomo Nuay won 6-0, 6-1 at third singles. The team of seniors Jeff Yao and Nick Lockavitch won 6-0, 6-3 at first doubles and senior Jake Fontes and junior Daniel Zhang won 6-3, 6-1 at second doubles for Big Red.

Diana Prinos and Lexi Nelson both won 6-0, 6-0 at first and third singles respectively while Sophia Prinos won 6-0, 6-1 at second singles. Diana Hickox and Michaela McCarthy added another win for the Warriors, winning 6-3, 6-4 at second doubles. Canton’s Tiffany Ha and Sarah MacQuarrie rallied for a 2-7, 7-6, 6-1 win at first doubles for the Bulldogs.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames senior captain Jackie Sulkala earned the Tigers first win, winning 6-0, 6-2 at second singles and OA rolled. Riley Spillane won 6-3, 6-0 at first singles and Olivia Groebe won 6-4, 6-4 at third singles. The team of Lark Warner and Valeria Tueme won 6-2, 6-3 at first doubles and Rachel Stryke and Claudia Ferrara teamed up for a 6-3, 6-3 win at second doubles for OA.

Boys Volleyball
Milford, 3 vs. Taunton, 1 – Final – After losing a close first game, Milford responded with a dominant second game scored a 23-25, 25-9, 25-22, 25-20 win over the Tigers. Senior Ryan White had 11 aces for the Scarlet Hawks along with 19 assists, six digs, six kills and six service receptions while senior Mike Haver had eight kills, four service receptions, a pair of digs and a block. Senior Juan Ruelas added six kills, five assists, a pair of digs and service receptions and a block for Milford and classmate Nick Roy had six kills, three digs and two aces. Junior Danny Zwonik also had two kills and two aces, along with a block, a dig and a service reception for Milford.
