Attleboro, 2 @ Taunton, 1 – FinalAttleboro scored twice in a five-minute span in the second half to earn a comeback win over Taunton and punch its ticket to the state tournament. Sarah McMahon and Amanda Burns scored just under four minutes apart as the Bombarders overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit. Jocelyn Pagliuca scored with just under two minutes left in the first half to put the hosts ahead.

North Attleboro, 1 @ Canton, 6 – Final

Franklin, 8 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames cut it to a one-goal game 10 minutes into the second half but Franklin scored four straight goals to finish the game and pull away for the win. Hannah Stryke scored her second of the game with just over 20 minutes left in the game to make it 4-3, but Amanda Lewandowski answered a minute later, Kaitlyn Carney scored her third goal to increase the lead, and Jill Fenerty scored a pair of unassisted goals to complete her hat trick to give the Panthers an 8-3 win. Carney scored twice in the first half and set up Olivia Rondeau on a corner with no time left to give the visitors a 3-1 lead at half. Neilee Hess had four saves in net while Kate O’Rourke came up with a big defensive stop for Franklin.

King Philip, 2 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalSophomore Christian Gifun had a goal and an assist to help King Philip claim a win on the road at Mansfield. Gifun used a beautiful cross to set up junior Isabelle Crocker for her first varsity goal in the 10th minute. Gifun then tipped in a feed from senior Sammy Robison to make it 2-0 in the 19th minute. Makenzie Manning earned the shutout with 15 saves while Charlotte Colella and Haley Izydorczak turned in stellar defensive performances for KP.

Milford, 2 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalAlexa Agnew and Kat Swineford each scored once as Milford went on the road and picked up a win over Stoughton. Paige Reisman mad six saves to earn the win for the Scarlet Hawks. Morgan Lessa scored for the Black Knights.

Volleyball
Attleboro, 0 @ Taunton, 3 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery from this matchTaunton rallied to win the opening set and went on to win the next two to earn a 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-21) sweep over Attleboro. Jaelyn Fernandez set up the Tigers’ offense, dishing out 29 assists to go along with six kills and four aces. Hailey Sullivan added 10 digs and two aces while Riley Edwards chipped in with four kills and two blocks. Sonya Fernandez (six kills, three aces), Ella Dunderdale (five kills, three aces), and Mikayla Cleary (five kills, block) all played well for Taunton.

Sharon, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – FinalSharon and Foxboro went back and forth, with the Warriors taking the first and fourth sets and the Eagles winning the second and third. The Warriors pulled out a tightly contested fifth set to earn the 3-2 win (25-16, 26-28, 25-27, 25-19, 17-15). Grace Boudreau led the way for Foxboro with 17 kills, four blocks, and 23 digs, Shakirah Ketant chipped in with three kills and four total blocks, and Grace Fortune finished with 23 digs and 12 service points.

Franklin, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames avenged a loss from earlier this season, winning two straight sets to break a 1-1 tie to earn a 3-1 (25-18, 22-25, 25-19, 25-21) win over Franklin. Allie Kemp set the offense in motion for OA with 38 assists as Jordan Bosse (14 kills, four aces), Ryley McNeeley (13 kills), and Jordyn Vella (six kills, four blocks) had strong performances at the net. Alison Barth anchored the defense with 32 serve receptions and 27 digs. For Franklin, Sophie Lyons had 15 kills, Allyson Bonnet-Eymard added 12 kills and 15 digs, Bridget Jackson and Emma Chase each registered six kills, Cailyn Mackintosh added 39 assists, and Jill Benoit had 11 digs.

King Philip, 3 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalKristen Masse shined on the service line for the Warriors, leading her team to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-9) win on the road at Mansfield. Masse had 16 service points with 12 aces to lead the way while Lily Carlow added two aces, two kills, five digs, and 12 service points. Nicole Coughlan (14 kills), Catherine Waldeck (10 kills, two blocks), and Ali McNamara (four kills) paced the KP attack. For Mansfield, Steph Walker had nine assists and Alina Nowakowski had seven kills.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Canton, 1 – FinalOliver Ames scored a pair of goals in the final six minutes of play to earn a dramatic victory on the road. Seniors Leah Johnson and Erin Holmberg each scored for the Tigers, who qualified for the state tournament with the win. Holmberg also had an assist in the win.

Canton, 6 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalMeg Aldrich and Kaitlyn Goyetch each scored a pair of goals to lead Canton to a win on the road at OA. Maria Femia and Meghan LaBelle also scored for the Bulldogs, who led 3-0 at halftime.

Foxboro, 1 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalFoxboro opened the scoring less than five minutes into the game but King Philip scored the equalizer late in the first half to help the Warriors earn a draw. Freshman Mya Waryas scored to put the visitors ahead just four minutes into the game while KP’s Olivia Kulesza scored off a rebound with 8:34 left in the first half to make it 1-1. KP goalie Makenzie Manning made nine saves in the tie.

Sharon, 0 @ Franklin, 9 – FinalFranklin built a five-goal lead by halftime and never looked back to pick up a league win over visiting Sharon. Olivia Rondeau and Stephanie Bell each scored a pair of goals while Jill Fenerty netted her first career goal in the win.

Canton, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalIt was a strong team effort for the Bulldogs, posting a 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-18) win on the road over Oliver Ames. Taylor Harris did it all for Canton with 15 kills, 16 digs, and two aces, Liz Bickett added six kills, five blocks, and an ace, and Jackie Morrissey finished with 27 assists, 13 digs, and a pair of aces. Angie Elias chipped in with five kills and three blocks while Claire Quinn added seven kills, seven digs, and two aces. OA’s Allie Kemp had 20 assists while seniors Jordyn Vella and Ryley McNeeley each had seven kills. Jordan Bennett added five kills and three aces for OA while sophomore Hadley Rhodes chipped in with six kills.

Foxboro, 0 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip defended home court, winning the battle of Warriors with a 3-0 (25-7, 25-21, 25-16) win. Catherine Waldeck and Nicole Coughlan (two aces) continued to shine at the net for KP, hammering down 16 kills apiece. Kristen Masses added four kills and two aces, and Lauren Peterson chipped in with three aces in the win. Foxboro’s Kelsey Treweek notched 13 digs and a pair of aces, Grace Boudreau landed six kills and added a block, and Grace Fortune finished with six serving points.

Sharon, 1 @ Franklin, 3 – Final

North Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery from this gameMansfield trailed in both the second and third sets but rallied in both to complete a 3-0 (25-17, 27-25, 25-22) sweep. The Hornets trailed 2-9 in the second set before prevailing in a close set. Kacey Veiking had a strong showing at the net with six kills and five blocks. Steph Walker dished out 25 assists for Mansfield while Ashley Santos added nine service points and three kills.

Stoughton, 3 @ Taunton, 1 – Final

Golf

Franklin, 169 @ Taunton, 184 – FinalQuinten Faro led the way for the Panthers, shooting a low-round of 40 to earn match medalist honors in the win.

Baseball
Canton, 8 vs. Duxbury, 7 – FinalCanton erased an 6-0 deficit and then escaped base-loaded jam in the seventh inning to open the season with a win. The Bulldogs scored four runs in the fifth to make it 6-4 and then took the lead with a four-run sixth inning. Senior Michael Konzal had a single, a triple, and two RBI while senior Matt Pigeon added a single, two walks, and two RBI. Sophomore Nate Hewitt earned the win on the mound.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalOliver Ames senior Reid Latham pitched a complete game two-hitter to give the visiting Tigers a win over Taunton. Latham didn’t issue any walks, struck out four, and allowed just two singles. OA scored in the fifth inning when Sean O’Brien hit an RBI triple to score Justin Sarnecki. OA coach Joe Abarr said senior CJ Deveau made a excellent catch in left field in end the sixth inning and keep the lead.

Boys Lacrosse
Milford, 3 @ Canton, 15 – Final

King Philip, 10 @ Sharon, 5 – FinalKing Philip led by just one at halftime but blanked the Eagles in the second half, outscoring Sharon 4-0 to pick up a win on the road. Andrew Sajdak had a team-high four goals while Colin DeVellis scored twice and had two assists. Robbie Tartaglia added two goals and an assist while Sam Mattson and Aidan Bender each scored once. Andrew McKinney made six saves in goal for KP.

Girls Lacrosse
Attleboro, 3 @ Franklin, 24 – FinalThe Panthers raced out to a big lead at halftime and never looked back. Franklin had 13 players register a point in the win, led by junior Kelsey MacCallum (five goals, two assists) and freshman Jackie O’Neil (two goals, four assists). Freshman Kenzie Baker scored four goals while freshman Jill Fenerty had a strong game in the midfield with six draw controls. Kyra Lyons, Sydney DiLiddo, and Rylee Fontes each scored for the Bombardiers.

Foxboro, 14 @ North Attleboro, 2 – Final

Sharon, 6 @ King Philip, 16 – FinalCaroline Klim scored seven goals and assisted on one for the Warriors, as they opened the season with a big win in a rematch of last year’s playoff opener. Olivia Tormey had a hat trick and two assists and Jess Sullivan had two goals and an assist in the win. Dana Truini also scored twice for KP, while Victoria Tormey and Jenna Hitchen each scored once. Caroline Watson earned the win in net with 10 saves. Emma Eberhardt led the Eagles with four goals, an assist, and five draw controls. Rose Wald made 11 saves to keep Sharon in the game. Jenna Goldstein and Maxine Gordon each scored once in the loss.

Taunton, 10 @ Oliver Ames, 17 – FinalOliver Ames senior Olivia Piazza dominated at draws and led the team in scoring to give the Tigers a visit over Taunton. Piazza had 16 draw controls and scored eight goals while Ella Hogan had a nice game with four goals and one assist for OA. Olivia Carroll, Emma Pereira, and Emma Sharkansky also scored for OA.

Mansfield, 9 vs. Holliston, 16 – FinalKatie Garvin led the Hornets with five goals in a season-opening loss. Lauren Whitman and Maggie Danehy each scored twice for Mansfield, which also got five saves from Katie McCarthy. Holliston’s top two attackers scored four goals apiece, but first-year coach Lauryn Wilkie praised the defensive effort for blocking off a number of drives to the net.

Boys Tennis
Oliver Ames, 0 @ Milton, 5 – Final

Girls Tennis
Foxboro, 5 vs. Dighton-Rehoboth, 0 – FinalFoxboro picked up its second win of the season, knocking off non-league for Dighton-Rehoboth and winning all five matches in straight sets. Pam Nelson won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Sarah Prag picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles, and Julia Muise earned a 6-0, 6-1 decision at third singles. The team of Kendall Milender and Paige Krockta prevailed 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) at first doubles and the team of Maggie McAuliffe and Lindsey Nelson won 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles.

Oliver Ames, 2 vs. Norton, 3 – FinalOliver Ames won one match in singles play and one in doubles action but suffered a 3-2 setback against Norton. Junior Maura Kiernan won 6-0, 6-3 at first singles while the team of senior Kathryn McCarthy and junior Sarah Barron won 6-0, 6-3 at second doubles.

Boys Volleyball
King Philip, 3 @ Assabet Valley, 0 – FinalIn just its second varsity game, King Philip picked up the program’s first ever win with a 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-22, 25-17) on the road at Assabet Valley. Senior setter Cam Corey paced the offense with 27 assists, senior Eric Altobello had a team-high 10 kills, and senior Jimmy Peterson added eight kills. KP coach Emily Tkowski said sophomore Aidan Lindmark played a huge role for the Warriors with strong right side defense and five digs.

Milford, 3 @ Medfield, 0 – FinalMilford earned a sweep (25-19, 25-15, 25-14) on the road at Medfield. Clayton Pickett and Zach Browne each had five kills, Lucas Caetano had 10 assists and seven aces for the Scarlet Hawks.

Taunton, 3 @ New Bedford, 0 – FinalTaunton went on the road and earned a 3-0 sweep (25-20, 28-26, 25-18) win over New Bedford. Gage Kingman paced the offense with 14 kills, 17 digs, and four aces. Sophomore Tyler Stewart added eight kills and a block while Chris LaCourse had a strong game with 26 assists, an ace, and a block.
