Baseball
North Attleboro, 6 @ Attleboro, 2 – Final North Attleboro scored all six of its runs in the top of the third inning to extend its unbeaten start to the season. Nick Sinacola started things with a walk, Jeff Gale reached on an infield single and Zach DeMattio walked to load the bases. Both Sinacola and Gale scored on an error and then Brendan McHugh knocked in Nate Pearce (2-for-3). Both Pearce and McHugh came around to score on a single from Nick Raneri (3-for-4), who crossed home for the sixth run on an error. Attleboro plated its two runs on three hits in the bottom of the third. Sinacola earned the win on the mound, striking out seven with three walks and three hits allowed. Attleboro sophomore Ryan Morry was strong in relief, allowing just two hits in 4.2 innings of work with no runs allowed.

Canton, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalJake Noviello allowed just one run in six innings of work, struck out six, walked four, and scattered four hits to lead the Panthers to a win on the road. Bryan Woelfel earned the win, pitching a scoreless seventh inning. Cooper Ross paced the offense, going 2-for-2 and scoring a pair of runs while Jack Nally had two RBI and Scott Elliott chipped in with a double and a run scored.

Sharon, 1 @ Mansfield, 9 – FinalHockomock League leading hitter Dan Saraceno continued his stellar start to the season, going 2-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored to help the Hornets pick up a big win on the road. After Sharon took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second, Mansfield plated four runs in the third, two more in the fourth and three in the fifth inning. Seniors Tyler Dalton (1-for-2, run) and Cullin Anastasia, juniors Mike Hargadon (2-for-2, two runs) and Sam Nugent (two runs), and sophomore Chris Jenkins (1-for-3, run) each knocked in a run for Mansfield. Sharon’s Drew Naisuler went 3-for-3 and scored on an RBI single from Max Tarlin. Mansfield sophomore John Carney earned the win in his first career start, striking out six with just one walk in five innings of work. He allowed just four hits and one unearned run.

Milford, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 16 – Final (5 inn.)Oliver Ames pushed across six runs in the first inning and never looked back in a big win over the Hawks. Milford took the lead in the top of the first but OA’s bats came to life in the bottom half. Chris Pearsons went 4-for-4 with two RBI, Matt Muir was 4-for-4 with an RBI, and Nick Bloumbas went 3-for-4 with an RBI for OA. Michael Mulrean earned the win, allowing one walk and one hit in five innings of work, striking out six.

Softball
Attleboro, 3 @ North Attleboro, 4 – Final (8 Inn.)Annabelle Hebard led off the eighth inning with a double and scored the game-winning run (her third run scored in the game) on a ball hit by Katie Daby, who also drove in a run with a second inning triple. Emily Nardelli drove in a run for North with a double in the fourth and Abby Gallagher and Olivia Capobianco each recorded two hits for the Rocketeers. Bella Erti went the distance to pick up the win and struck out 10. McKenzie Bergdoll and Makenzie Killough each hit homers for the Bombardiers.

Milford, 12 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final (5 inn.)Milford’s Kelley Reichert was nearly perfect, allowing just one hit in the top of the fifth to earn the win in the circle. Reichert took the perfect game into the fifth but a leadoff single from Katie Mills broke it up. Reichert struck out five and helped her cause at the plate by going 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a double. Emily Hartman added three hits, including a double, and an RBI, Emily Piergustavo had two RBI, including a solo home run, Maddy Bonvino went 2-for-2 with a double, Shannon Cormier added two hits and two RBI and Kate Irwin (three stolen bases) also had an RBI.

King Philip, 13 @ Sharon, 0 – FinalKing Philip set the tone early, scoring nine runs in the first inning on its way to a big win on the road at Sharon. Marjorie Guerrier, Lillianna Rolfe, Nicole Carter, Allie Kuchy, Destiny Goyco all had two hits to lead the way. Faith Turinese allowed just one hit while striking out eight batters in five innings of work.

Boys Lacrosse
Attleboro @ Taunton, 7:00

Canton, 5 @ North Attleboro, 7 – FinalCanton dominated the first half and held a 2-0 lead but North was able to tie it up in the second half and scored two late goals to earn the win. “Our defense played well and our young middies stepped up and got it done,” said North Attleboro head coach Kevin Young. “Hats off to Canton, I thought they outplayed us. Fortunately. our guys held it together and earned a scrappy win.” Dan Conroy scrapped his way to a ground ball and tied the game at 3-3 in the fourth. After Canton retook the lead, Damien Curtis tied it 5-5. Nick Ward scored the game-winner for the Rocketeers with 3:30 left and Tommy Lindstrom sealed the deal with an empty net with 1:30 to go.


Boys Tennis
Attleboro, 0 @ North Attleboro, 5 – FinalNorth Attleboro’s three singles players combined to lose just one game total in a sweep over rival Attleboro. Richard Bermudez won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles while Christian Bermudez (second singles) and Jonah Manso (third singles) each won 6-0, 6-0. Senior Ben Pfeffer and junior Vikram Senthilakumaran won 6-1, 6-2 at first singles for North while sophomore Alex Pfeffer and freshman Sam Gallagher didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Taunton, 3 @ Foxboro, 2 – FinalTaunton swept singles play to edge out Foxboro on the road. Senior Francois Hennaux battled to a three-set win (6-1, 1-6, 6-4) at first singles, Brett Beaulieu impressed in a 6-1, 6-1 decision at second singles, and Mike Brigg recorded a 6-4, 6-3 win at third singles for the Tigers.

Franklin, 5 @ Canton, 0 – FinalFrankin notched an impressive win on the road, losing just seven games total to sweep Canton. Liam Marr (second singles), Saketh Saripalli (third singles), the team of Tyler DiPalma and Derek Wu (first doubles) and the pairing of Dan Angermeier and Tony Calderone (second doubles) all won 6-0, 6-0 for the Panthers. Franklin’s Rohan Herur battled to a 6-3, 6-4 win at first singles.

King Philip, 5 vs. Walpole, 0 – FinalKing Philip won all five matches in straight sets to get a sweep over visiting Walpole. Marco DiStefano picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win at first singles, Nick Putney notched a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles and Jack Cannon won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles. KP’s pairing of Sean Desrochers and Nate Ihley won 6-1, 6-2 at first doubles while Aidan Ignatius and Nick Ihley recorded a 6-2, 6-4 decision at second doubles.

Mansfield, 0 @ Sharon, 5 – FinalSharon senior Fred Bondar prevailed with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Mansfield junior Luke Nickerson in a battle of two of the top players in the league. Andre Olivei earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles and Danujan Thirumavalavan won 6-2, 6-2 at third singles for the Eagles. Sophomore Alberto Olivei and junior Max Brody won 6-4, 6-2 at first doubles while Arie Chinnappan and Russell Rapaport notched a 6-4, 6-2 decision at second doubles.

Girls Tennis
North Attleboro, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro won all five matches in straight sets without dropping a game in three of them. North’s Jordan Willis (first singles), the team of Shurobhi Nandi and Azka Siddiq (first doubles) and the pairing of Leah Marceau and Tara Nair (second doubles) all won 6-0, 6-0. Senior Emily Chiasson won 6-1, 6-0 at second singles and classmate Katie Ovoian won 6-3, 6-2 at third singles for the Rocketeers.

Canton, 5 @ Franklin, 0 – FinalCanton went on the road and earned a sweep of Franklin, taking all three singles matches in straight sets. Natalie Keppler (first singles) and Rachel Kupferman (second singles) each won 6-0, 6-0 while Sarah Hernandez earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at third singles for the Bulldogs. The team of Caitlin Matthews and Stelina Michaelidis prevailed 6-0, 4-6, 10-6 at first doubles and the pairing of Jamie Cree and Jena Moyle picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Sharon, 5 @ Mansfield, 0 – FinalSharon won all five matches in straight sets to record a win on the road at Mansfield. Lulu Yuan won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, Emily Wen notched a 6-2, 6-2 win at second singles, and Katie Merport picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of Sophia Fein and Rithika Neti won 6-2, 7-5 at first singles for the Eagles and Lauren Glass and Makaila Cheung won 6-2, 6-2 at second doubles.

Milford, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – FinalOliver Ames’ Maura Kiernan didn’t lose a single game at second singles and both of the Tigers’ doubles teams won to edge visiting Milford. The team of Kristin Bloumbas and Emily Yu won 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles while Olivia Groebe and Rachel Stryke paired together for a 6-3, 6-0 win at second doubles. Milford’s Julie Rabinowitz won 6-2, 6-0 at first singles and Olivia Marshall won 6-3, 6-2 at third singles for the Hawks.

Boys Outdoor Track
Sharon, 77 @ Canton, 59 – FinalFor Canton, Cordel Smith was a triple winner after taking first in the long jump (21’5), high jump (5’11) and the 200M (22.4) while also adding a second place finish in the 100M (11.3). Shane Graham took first in the 400M (52.7), Colin Messinger crossed first in the 2 Mile (10:10.4) and the Bulldog 4×400 team (Gerry Sullivan, Zach Goldstein, Chris Milne, and Shane Graham) was first (3:44). Matt Floyd added a second place finish for Canton in the 400M hurdles (63.3).

Oliver Ames, 74 @ Attleboro, 62 – FinalOliver Ames’ Jack MacAdam was a triple winner, helping the Tigers edge Attleboro on the road. MacAdam took first in the 400M hurdles, the 110M hurdles, and the long jump to lead the Tigers. Other first place finishes for Oliver Ames included Jason Windvogel (1 Mile), Ethan Eckstrom (800M), Zane Reservitz (2 Mile), Ryan Tamasanis (high jump), Aaron MacDonald (triple jump), Anthony DeCosta (discus), Quinn Proudler (javelin), and Jack Mills (shot put).

Franklin, 45 @ Mansfield, 91 – FinalMansfield swept the 100M, 200M, and the long jump to earn nine points from each event to get a win over visiting Franklin. Greg Waters (11.3), Khristian Conner, and Colin Eutsay swept the 100M for the Hornets, Mike Shannon (22.6), Jack Rivard, and Dan Knight took first, second, and third (respectively) in the 200M, and Jareme DiLorenzo (19’8), Joe Cappelletti and Andrew Williams took care of placements in the long jump.

Sharon, 110 @ Canton, 26 – FinalCanton’s Sarah Collins took first in the 800M (2:32) and placed second in the 400M hurdles (67.8) to pace the Bulldogs. Chloe Pennacchio was first in the 2 Mile (13:09.7), Bronwyn Mahoney was second in the shot put (30’2), Maddie Rousseau took second in the 200M (27.4) followed by Leah Murphy (27.9). Freshman Olivia Rodman was third in the 400M hurdles (70.4) and the triple jump (31’3) for the Bulldogs.

Franklin, 78 @ Mansfield, 58 – FinalFor Mansfield, Amanda Mangano had a terrific day with three wins and a second place in another event. Mangano won the 100M (12.4), the 200M (25.3), and the high jump (5′) while taking second in the long jump (16’6). Junior Julia Hill had a 7-inch PR in the long jump to win with a jump of 16’7 and running a three second PR in the 400 hurdles for a second place in a time of 69.4. The Hornets’ 4×100 team of Gabrielle Devlin, Emily Quitzau, Samantha Hindman, Julia Harrison had a season-best time of 50.4 while sophomore Lily Goulding took first in the javelin (95’4″).

Milford, 2 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCanton senior Robbie Wilkinson allowed just two runs on five hits in 6.1 innings of work and added an RBI on offense to help the Bulldogs edge the Hawks. Milford loaded the bases in the top of the seventh against reliever Paul Cocoran but the junior got the final two outs to escape the jam. Wilkinson had an RBI double in the third while Jake Aronson had two doubles and an RBI for the Bulldogs. Aidan Wilde went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk for the Hawks while sophomore Luke Rosa allowed just one earned run in five innings of work, striking out four.

Mansfield, 6 vs. Bishop Feehan, 1 – FinalMansfield broke open a tie game with a five-run sixth inning to beat Bishop Feehan. The Shamrocks had a total of just two hits and no walks but plated the first run in the first inning. The Hornets tied the game in the top of the third and then pulled away in the sixth. Sam Nugent and Kevin Dow each had two hits and scored a run for the Hornets while pinch hitter Jake Gerraughty knocked in a pair of runs. Connor Sheehan earned the win on the mound, striking out eight with just two hits in six innings of work. Sophomore John Carney struck out one in a 1-2-3 seventh inning.

Oliver Ames, 6 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalOliver Ames pushed across four runs in the top of the third inning and tacked on solo runs in each the fourth and seventh innings to beat Stoughton. Michael Friel went 3-for-3 with an RBI while Reid Latham struck out five and allowed six hits in six innings of work to get the win. Stoughton’s Ruben Gonzalez allowed just one earned run in three-plus innings of work and went 3-for-4 at the plate.

Softball
Attleboro, 5 @ Mansfield, 4 – FinalAttleboro took a 2-0 lead with single runs in the first and the third innings but Mansfield scored three in its half of the third to jump in front. Sarah Cahill, who struck out three in six innings in the circle, led off with a single and scored on a base hit by Kara Bendanillo. Mady Bendanillo made it 3-2 with a two-run homer. Attleboro rallied with a pair of runs in the fifth to get the lead back and then added the eventual game-winner in the sixth. The Hornets got within one in the sixth after Mady Bendanillo (3-for-3) tripled and was brought in by Caty DeMassi, but couldn’t find another run. Mansfield coach Lori Letendre called it a “good back and forth game” and said the Hornets had chances late but “couldn’t come up with the timely hit we needed.” Freshman Ashlyn Conley went 2-for-3 in her varsity debut for Mansfield.

Milford, 19 @ Canton, 6 – Final (6 inn.)Milford scored 10 runs in the top of the second inning to earn a big win on the road at Canton. Sabrina Haarstick (three-run), Jess Tomaso (3-for-5, triple five RBI), and Maddy Bonvino (3-for-4, three RBI, three runs) each had a home run in the win for the Hawks. Shannon Cormier added two hits and four runs, Emily Piergustavo reached base four times and scored four runs, and Kate Irwin (2-for-4) had a double, stolen base, and three runs scored. Kelley Reichert struck out eight with one hit allowed in three innings of work in a relief appearance.

North Attleboro, 4 vs. Dartmouth, 2 – FinalBella Erti allowed three hits and one walk, while striking out one to pick up the win for North. Katie Daby (2-for-3) broke a 2-2 tie in the fourth inning with a solo homer and North added a fourth run in the following inning when Abby Gallagher scored on an Erti fielder’s choice. Katherine Munley and Gallagher each made nice catches in the outfield, according to North coach Bill Wallace, and Olivia Capobianco robbed Dartmouth of a homer in the seventh that would have cut the lead to one.

Sharon, 0 @ Taunton, 17 – Final (5 inn.)Alexa and Kelsey White combined to strike out 10 batters with three hits allowed and no walks in five innings of work to lead Taunton to a win. Alexa struck out eight, scattering three hits in four innings of work to get the win. Kelsey struck out two of the three she faced in the fifth inning. Offensively, Alexa White went 3-for-3 with a triple and a pair of doubles, knocking in three runs. Mackenzie Handrahan had three hits, including a home run, and four RBI while Kya Enos (2-for-3) and Abbie McDonough (2-for-3) each had a double and two RBI.

King Philip, 13 @ Sharon, 5 – FinalKP used seven different goal scorers and allowed only one goal in the second half (head coach Kourtnie Wilder described it as a “huge defensive effort!”) to pull out the non-league victory. Caroline Klim was the top scorer for the Warriors with five goals. Jess Sullivan and Lauren Anderson each tallied twice, while Alli Meehan (five draw controls), Olivia Tormey, Mackenzie Mazur and Dana Truini (four draw controls) each had one for KP. Shayla Weirzman had an assist. The Warriors also got 13 saves from Caroline Watson. Abbi Solomon and Sabrina Robbins each scored a pair of goals and Emma Eberhardt scored a goal, had a pair of assists, and five draw controls for the Eagles.

Mansfield, 16 @ Oliver Ames, 13 – Final Ann Maher scored six goals to pace the Hornets, including the game-winner with just over two minutes remaining. Coming out of a timeout in a tie game (13-13), Maher scored her fifth goal of the game to give Mansfield the lead for good. Katy Garvin and Maher each added another goal in the closing minutes to seal the win. Olivia Murray had a hat trick for the Hornets, while Hayleigh Crawford, Lauren Whitman, and Garvin each scored twice. Hannah Sternburg made 14 saves in the win.

Milford, 5 vs. Nipmuc, 14 – Final

Boys Tennis
Franklin, 5 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalFranklin continued its perfect start with a sweep on the road at Taunton. Rohan Herur won a battle at first singles, emerging with a 7-5, 6-4 win while Liam Marr (6-2, 6-0) and Saketh Saripalli (6-0, 6-0) also picked up wins to sweep singles play. The team of Tyler DiPalma and Derek Wu won 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles while Tony Calderone and Dan Angermeier didn’t lose a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Stoughton, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 2 – FinalStoughton junior Erik Anderson stepped into the first singles spot and picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win, helping the Black Knights edge neighboring Oliver Ames. Hassan Khan added 6-3, 7-5 win at third singles and Brendon Buckley and Mike Veliotis notched a 6-1, 6-2 win at second doubles. Oliver Ames’ Henry Simone won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and the team of TJ Clifford and Liam McMorrow rallied for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win at first doubles.

Rachel Kupferman didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles and Sarah Hernandez won 6-0, 6-2 at third singles. The team of Jena Moyle and Stelina Michaelidis picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at first doubles and Canton’s pairing of Caitlin Matthews and Sophie Le earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at second doubles. Milford’s Julie Rabinowitz won 7-5, 6-4 at first singles.

Taunton, 5 @ Franklin, 0 – FinalTaunton dropped just two games total in four matches to get a win on the road. Jillian Pagliuca won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Vanessa Rosa picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles, and Jocelyn Pagliuca won by forfeit at third singles. Samantha Martin and McKenzie Lucie (first singles) and the team of Amanda Pugh and Kayla Parrett (second doubles) both won without losing a game.

Stoughton, 0 @ Oliver Ames, 5 – FinalOA sophomore Sarah Barron made her varsity debut at third singles and came away with a 6-1, 6-1 win to help the Tigers sweep Stoughton. Sarah Leger picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win at first singles and Tate Hadges won 6-2, 6-0 at second singles. OA’s pairing of Kristin Bloumbas and Emily Yu won 6-4, 6-3 at first doubles and Olivia Groebe and Rachel Stryke paired up for a 6-1, 6-3 win at second doubles.

Sharon, 5 @ Attleboro, 13 – FinalAttleboro overcame a 4-1 deficit, scoring three runs in the fifth inning to tie it, two more in the sixth in the take a lead, and then seven runs in the final inning to put the game to bed. Attleboro senior Drew Pagano earned the win in relief, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings. James Weir went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI, Troy Gamache had two hits and an RBI and Sam Larkin chipped in with two hits. Sophomore Alvaro Espinel drew five walks, stole three bases and scored three runs while senior Corey McKenna had a two-run double and three stolen bases.

Foxboro, 3 @ Franklin, 0 – FinalFoxboro senior Steve McLaughlin tossed a complete game shutout, scatting three hits while striking out three to lead the Warriors to a win over Franklin. Chad Bearce (single) and JT Burke (double) each recorded an RBI as Foxboro scored single runs in each the first, second, and fourth innings. Anthony Mollica and Joe Cavaleri each had a hit for Foxboro. Franklin’s Jake Noviello struck out 11 batters in five innings of work with just two walks and no earned runs allowed.

King Philip, 17 @ Canton, 4 – FinalKing Philip’s offense exploded for 17 runs in its season opener to pick up a win on the road. Sophomore Robbie Jarest went 3-for-3 with an RBI while Jeremy Rhines had two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Rhines earned the win on the mound with five innings of work, striking out four batters without allowing an earned run. KP head coach Greg Kessler said Collin Cooke and Nolan Bradley had strong games defensively.

Mansfield, 9 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalMansfield broke open a 1-1 game with two runs in the fifth and then added four more in the sixth, and two more in the seventh inning to turn a close game into a big win in both teams’ season opener. Hornets senior Tyler Dalton scattered four hits over four innings of work while striking out four to earn the win. Kevin Dow pitched three scoreless innings of relief. Offensively, Sam Nugent (RBI, run), Mike Hargadon (two RBI, run), Cullin Anastasia (RBI), Eric Longley (run), and Dow (two RBI, run) each had two hits for the Hornets. For Stoughton, Ruben Gonzalez, Mike Nazzaro and Will Eckhart each had a pair of hits. Eckhart allowed three earned runs in five innings of work while striking out four.

Taunton, 5 @ Milford, 2 – FinalTaunton senior Tyler Medeiros allowed just four hits in five-plus innings of work, striking out seven with two runs allowed to earn the win. Taunton scored three runs in the top of the fourth to take a 3-1 lead, added another run in the fifth inning, and tacked on an insurance run in the top of the seventh. Josh Lajoie (save), Christian Simoes, and Jacob Crawford each had two hits for Taunton while Jack Moynihan had a two-RBI triple in the fourth inning. For Milford, Danny Corsini allowed just two earned runs in six innings of work with three strikeouts. Colby Pires (RBI) and Matt Shaver (walk, two runs) each had a pair of hits for the Hawks.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ North Attleboro, 5 – FinalNorth Attleboro senior Nick Sinacola dazzled in his season debut, striking out 11 batters over six innings of work with five hits and two walks allowed. North scored single runs in the first, third, fourth, fifth and sixth. OA had a chance to tie the game with the bases loaded in the seventh inning but Peter Cohen came in to get the final out via strikeout. Sharon, 1 @ Attleboro, 13 – Final (6 inn.)Attleboro’s McKenzie Bergdoll had a strong day in the circle and at the plate to help the Bombardiers open the season with a win. Bergdoll struck out eight in four innings of work, allowing just two hits and one unearned run. At the plate, she had two hits and two RBI. Jenna Gittle finished the final two innings in the circle, striking out three while allowing two hits. Makenzie Killough and Ashley Macia each had big days at the play; Killough went 3-for4 with four RBI, including a home run while Macia was 3-for-4 with five RBI and a home run. Jordyn Lako chipped in with three hits and two RBI for Big Blue. “This was a good start with only three practices outside so far,” said AHS coach Mark Homer. “Everyone in the starting lineup contributed offensively.”

Canton, 0 @ King Philip, 25 – Final (5 inn.)King Philip’s Meghan Gorman had four of the Warriors 15 hits, including a two-run home run and a pair of doubles, finishing with five RBI. Brooke Taute contributed three hits, including a triple, and three RBI while Faith Turnese and Hailey McCasland each had multiple hits. Elise Pereira earned the win with a complete game, six strikeouts and just one hit allowed.

Foxboro, 3 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalChelsea Gibbons went 2-for-4 to lead the Warriors, while Hannah Davis and Jill Finn each had an RBI single in the victory. Foxboro’s Emma Rohan went the distance in the circle to get the win.

Stoughton, 1 @ Mansfield, 10 – FinalMansfield coach Lori Letendre called the opening game of the season “a great team effort,” as the Hornets got a strong start from Sarah Cahill, who allowed only three hits and struck out five, and had six players record at least two hits. Mady Bendanillo and Caty DeMassi both went 3-for-4 with DeMassi just a double away from the cycle. Sydney Woods, Felicity McMullin, Ella Verheggen, and Cahill each went 2-for-4. Every player in the Mansfield lineup had at least a hit or an RBI. Kerran Holmes also made a big play in left, turning a double play after a shoestring grab.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ North Attleboro, 22 – Final (5 inn.)Bella Erti struck out six and allowed only three hits in five innings of work, while also registering three hits at the plate. Ashley Cangiano led the offense, going 4-for-4 with a homer and five RBI. Abby Gallagher scored four runs, while Olivia Capobianco scored three times and had a stolen base and Annabelle Hebard and Katy Daby each had triples. All four finished the game with two hits apiece. Lexie Campbell, Kayla Georgeu, and Katie Mills each had a hit for Oliver Ames.

Canton, 2 @ Foxboro, 13 – FinalFoxboro built a 7-0 lead by halftime and never looked back to earn a league win over division foe Canton. Louis Piccolo collected eight points – three goals and five assists – to pace the Warriors’ offense. Shayne Kerrigan went 15-for-17 at the face-off X and Bobby Yerardi chipped in with three goals.

Sharon, 4 @ Franklin, 13 – FinalFranklin junior Jacob Alexander dominated the face-off X, winning 17 of 21 attempts to help give the Panthers the edge in possession. Eric Civetti paced the offense with six goals and assist while Zach Alexander, Jacob Alexander, Jake Davis and Nitin Chaudhury each scored once for the Panthers. Will Davis made five saves in net for Franklin.

Oliver Ames, 10 @ Milford, 8 – FinalOliver Ames senior Eric LeBlanc had a hand in over half of the Tigers goals, helping his side earn its first win of the season. LeBlanc scored five goals and had one assist to pace the offense while Shane Kilkelly added two goals and three assists and Frankie Ireland finished with a goal and two assists. Milford freshman goalie Evan Hazard made 15 saves in net while Andrew Gallagher had a team-high five points with two goals and three assists. Mike Demko and Brendan White each scored a pair of goals while Chase Blanchette had a strong game defensively with six ground balls.

North Attleboro, 16 @ Taunton, 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro had eight different goal scorers, as new coach Colleen Carchedi gets her first win on her Rocketeers debut. Kayla Moulin earned the shutout in net. Alana Tavares grabbed two draw controls for the Tigers, while Hannah Moniz and Rosemary McGrath each had three ground balls.

King Philip, 17 @ Attleboro, 3 – Final KP had seven different scorers and improved to 2-0 on the season. Katie Crowther led the way for the Warriors with seven goals and two assists, while Caroline Klim chipped in with three goals and three assists. Alli Meehan and Olivia Tormey each added two goals and an assist, while Dana Truini, Victoria Tormey, and Ali Wilson each scored once in the win. Caroline Watson made eight saves for KP.

Foxboro, 19 @ Canton, 0 – FinalSophia DiCenso scored three goals and Caroline Boudreau recorded four assists, as Foxboro used 13 different goal scorers to get the division win. Sara Addeche picked up the shutout in goal.

Franklin, 18 @ Sharon, 5 – FinalFranklin junior Annie Walsh and sophomore Erin Walsh combined for 15 points to lead the Panthers to a win on the road at Sharon. Annie had seven goals and two assists while Erin finished with four goals and two assists. Katie Jones added two goals and two assists while Nicole Houlihan had two goals and Corinne Lewis had a strong game defensively with two ground balls. Gianna Cameron made seven saves in the win while Kate Morse made her season debut after suffering an ACL injury this past Fall. Sabrina Robbins scored a pair of goals, grabbed four draw controls, and three ground balls, while Emma Eberhardt added a pair of goals and five draw controls for the Eagles. Sharon also got a goal and an assist from Lydia Chase and 13 saves from goalie Rose Wald.

Fred Bondar won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles, Danujan Thirumavalavan, won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and Ashwin Sreevatsa won 6-0, 6-1 at third singles for the Eagles. The team of Max Brody and Russell Rapaport earned a 6-2, 6-0 decision at first doubles while Arie Chinnappan and Alex Aspel won 6-1, 6-2 at second doubles.

Canton, 0 @ King Philip, 5 – FinalKing Philip’s Marco DiStefano rallied after losing the first game to win the second and take a third set tiebreaker to complete the Warriors sweep. Junior Tessa Garufi and sophomore Samantha Sternberg won 6-3, 6-1 at first doubles while junior Hannah Podolske and senior Cindy Gu prevailed with a 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 win at second doubles.

Jordan Willis had a convincing 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles, senior Katie Ovoian won 6-1, 6-4 at third singles and the team of seniors Leah Marceau and Shurobhi Nandi prevailed 6-4, 7-6 (7-0) at first doubles. For Oliver Ames, Tate Hadges won 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 at second singles and Olivia Groebe and Rachel Stryke notched a 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Taunton, 3 @ Brockton, 0 – FinalTaunton picked up a convincing win on the road behind a balanced attack. Malik Charles had a team-high eight kills while Alex Tavares (four blocks), Lens Esquil (three blocks), and Lance Law (four aces) all registered seven kills. Ricardo DaFonseca finished with 32 assists for the Tigers.

With the win, Attleboro qualifies for the state tournament. The Bombardiers were 29-for-48 from the field, including eight three-pointers. Sophomore Bryant Ciccio had a career-high 24 points along with seven assists, Kevin Velazquez and senior Nate Douglas each added 13 points apiece and sophomore Qualeem Charles had six points and 13 rebounds.

Stoughton, 56 @ Canton, 65 – FinalCanton added to its lead after each of the first three quarters to beat Stoughton and clinch a share of the Davenport division title, the program’s first Hock title since 1992. The Bulldogs led 11-8 after one, 32-26 at halftime and 47-37 heading into the fourth. Senior Jake Verille scored a career-high 20 points while classmate Austin Maffie poured in 20 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to pace Canton. Colin Sanda had 15 points and four assists for the Black Knights.

North Attleboro, 38 @ Foxboro, 56 – Final

King Philip, 49 @ Franklin, 62 – FinalFranklin pulled away in the fourth quarter to hold off an upset attempt from King Philip. The Panthers led 36-35 going into the final period and scored 26 points to secure the win. Senior Paul Mahon paced Franklin with 21 points while junior Jalen Samuels added 17 points.

Milford, 72 @ Sharon, 55 – FinalMilford scored 45 points in the first half, running away with a win over a division foe on the road. Junior Brendan White scored a game-high 24 points, Andrew Fraioli (12 points, 10 rebounds) and Kayden Kelley (10 points, 12 rebounds) both recorded double-doubles and Zach Tammaro chipped in with 13 points. Sharon senior Malik Lorquet scored a team-high 20 points for the Eagles.

Taunton, 42 @ Attleboro, 43 – FinalJordyn Lako hit a go-ahead free throw with eight seconds left and Liv McCall sealed the win with a steal three seconds later. Sam Pierce scored 14 points to lead the Bombardiers, while Nyah Thomas added eight. Hannah Moniz was Taunton’s top scorer with 10 points.

Oliver Ames, 49 @ Mansfield, 42 – FinalOliver Ames pulled away late, breaking open a 34-34 game by going 5-for-5 from the line and scoring off its defense down the stretch to earn a split of the season series with the Hornets. Abby Reardon and Caroline Flynn each came up with key free throws during that stretch. Kayla Raymond led the way for the Tigers with 14 points and Erin Holmberg added 11. Maggie Danehy had 13 and Mady Bendanillo had 10 for Mansfield.

Sharon, 55 @ Milford, 62 – FinalEmily Piergustavo celebrated senior night with a career-high in points and a triple-double to help the Hawks close out the regular season with a win. Piergustavo scored 27 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out 10 assists. Julie Rabinowitz scored 14 for Milford, knocking down four three-pointers. Emma Eberhardt was Sharon’s top scorer with 27 points, while Telishya Herbert had 15 and Kaitlyn Wallace has 11.

Mansfield, 1 @ Attleboro, 0 – Final (8 inn.)Mansfield notched its fifth straight win and qualified for the state tournament behind a complete game shutout from sophomore Connor Sheehan. Sheehan struck out a career-high 10 batters in eight innings of work, allowing just four hits and two walks. Zach Peterson knocked in Matt Farragher (2-for-4) with a double in the top of the eighth for the lone run. Kevin Dow went 3-for-3 for Mansfield as well. Attleboro’s Eoin Kelleher had another solid outing on the mound, allowing just the one run in eight innings of work with two strikeouts. Matt Callahan had two hits for Big Blue.

Milford, 8 @ Canton, 4 – FinalMilford’s offense exploded for five runs in the third inning to extend its lead to six and tacked on two more in the sixth before holding off a seventh inning rally from Canton. Alex Macek got the win, tossing 6.2 innings with no runs allowed, five strikeouts and six hits. Ryan Goncalves went 2-for-4 with two runs, Anthony Arcudi was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs and Luke Allegrezza had two hits and two RBI. Canton’s Kevin Monagle went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Stoughton, 8 @ Foxboro, 0 – FinalStoughton senior Justin Hutchinson needed just 88 pitches to toss a complete game shutout on the road at Foxboro. Hutchinson allowed just four hits, struck out five and didn’t issue a walk to earn the win.

Taunton, 1 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin emerged from another pitcher’s duel with a close 2-1 win over visiting Taunton. FHS junior Jason Ulrickson tossed a complete game, scattering five hits, issuing one walk and striking out five to earn the win. Taunton’s Tyler Medeiros also allowed five hits with just one talk, striking out seven in six innings of work. Tyler Gomes had a double and a run scored for the Panthers while Ulrickson accounted for the other run. Sophomore Alex Haba was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Cam Lupien brought the Panthers’ other run home with a sacrifice fly. Taunton’s Christian Simoes was 2-for-3 and scored on an RBI double from Joe Manchester.

King Philip, 1 @ Oliver Ames, 6 – FinalOliver Ames broke a tie game open with five runs in the bottom of the second inning, giving sophomore Tom Parker a lead he wouldn’t relinquish in a complete game effort. Parker allowed just three hits while walking two and striking out a pair. Both Alden Newman and Kyle Gagliardi went 1-for-2 for the Tigers, each scoring a run and each knocking in one as well.

North Attleboro, 7 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalAfter allowing the first four batters to reach, North Attleboro’s Matt Iaconis settled in to toss a complete game with just one run allowed and two strikeouts to help the Rocketeers pick up a win on the road. After North went up 1-0 in the top of the first, Sharon rattled off three straight singles and tied the game on a hit batter. From there, Iaconis escaped the bases loaded jam with three straight outs. He allowed just four hits the rest of the way and didn’t issue a walk. North tacked on two runs in the top of the second, three in the third and one more in the fifth. John Brennan went 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI, Kyle McCarthy was 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI, Zach DeMattio went 2-for-3 including a triple and Aidan Harding had a pair of hits and an RBI.

Softball
Attleboro, 3 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalAttleboro rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh inning to turn a 2-1 deficit into a one-run victory. Jenna Gittle led off with a double to start the seventh inning and hits from Emily Gittle and Ashley Macia pushed across the tying and winning runs for the Bombardiers. McKenzie Bergdoll earned the win, tossing a complete game with seven strikeouts, allowing just four hits. Mansfield scored both of its runs in the second inning. Liz Mackin led-off with a single and, after a sacrifice bunt, scored on a single by Sarah Cahill. Caty DeMassi singled in the second run. The Hornets loaded the bases in the final frame but could not push across the tying run.

Canton, 1 @ Milford, 19 – Final (5 inn.)Milford junior Emily Piergustavo notched her 100th career hit, one of 18 that the Hawks belted out. Piergustavo went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs while Maggie Farrell went 4-for-4 with a triple, four runs scored and two RBI and Jess Tomaso went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs, four RBI and a towering home run to left. Kaitlyn DeCapua added two hits, two runs and an RBI, Shannon Cormier had two hits, including a double, and two RBI and Emily Hartman launched a three-run home run. Kelley Reichert earned the win, scattering five this with five strikeouts in a complete game effort.

Foxboro, 1 @ Stoughton, 2 – FinalGina Carafa struck out 10 Foxboro hitters, including her 100th strikeout of the season, and scattered four hits to pick up the win. Nikki Coppola drove in both of Stoughton’s runs with a two-out single in the third and Shannon Flaherty was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate for the Black Knights. Foxboro cut the lead in half in the sixth inning when Kelly Fisher drove in Kelly Mccarthy with a sac fly off a great running catch by Alessandra Loffredo.

Franklin, 0 @ Taunton, 12 – Final (5 inn.)Taunton’s offense got off to a strong start, plating a pair of runs in the first inning then blowing the game open with six runs in the second. Jaime Brown went 4-for-4 and scored four whiles while Kya Enos (two hits) knocked in four runs. MacKenzie Handrahan knocked in three runs on a pair of hits, McKenzie McAloon added two hits and eighth grader Hannah Aldrich hit her first career home run for the Tigers. Courtney Fisher struck out four without issuing a walk, allowing just one hit (fifth inning) and two total base runners.

Franklin, 15 @ Canton, 3 – FinalCaroline Lounsbury paced Franklin’s offense with four goals while Lauren Bissanti notched a pair of goals for the Panthers. Mairead Goguen notched a goal and an assist and Annie Walsh (two goals, assists) had seven draw controls.

King Philip, 6 @ Foxboro, 15 – FinalMeg Curran scored four goals to lead the way for the Warriors, while Jackie Brion and Caroline Boudreau each scored hat tricks. With the win, Foxboro clinched the outright Davenport division title, its sixth straight league championship.

Milford, 6 @ Mansfield, 15 – FinalThe Hornets had nine different goal scorers and booked a place in the state tournament with their ninth win of the season.

Taunton, 3 vs. North Quincy, 1 – FinalTaunton snapped a two game skid with a big win at home at North Quincy, prevailing 25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 25-22. Lance Law did it all for the Tigers, recording 17 kills, 10 digs, six blocks, two assists and an ace in the win. Lens Esquil added 12 kills and four blocks, Malik Charles had 19 digs, eight kills and three blocks and Nate Grant finished with 49 assists in the win.

Stoughton, 6 @ Canton, 3 – FinalFor the second straight game, Stoughton rallied from a deficit and plated the game-winning runs in the seventh innings. Jackson Maffeo’s three-run home run put the Bulldogs ahead 3-0 but Stoughton chipped away, tying the game with two runs in the sixth and went ahead with three runs in the seventh. Ryan Sullivan and Jack Connelly each had a single in the sixth and both came around to score to tie the game. Nick Hardy doubled to lead off the top of the seventh, advanced to third and came home on a double from Sullivan. Luke Johnson followed with a two-run double to put Stoughton up 6-3. Justin Hutchinson earned his seventh win of the seven, tossing three hitless innings with seven strikeouts. Hutchinson struck out the side in the sixth and retired the side in order in the bottom of the seventh.

Foxboro, 1 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalMansfield’s Colin Gibbons launched a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Hornets a close win over Foxboro. Mansfield took the lead in the bottom of the second when Anthony DeGiolamo (1-for-2) drove in Cullin Anastsia (2-for-3). Foxboro tied the game in the top of the third when Anthony Mollica knocked in John Cronin. Gibbons finished with two hits in the game. Connor Sheehan earned the win in a complete game effort, allowing just four hits while striking out four.

King Philip, 1 @ Sharon, 3 – FinalSharon junior Max Tarlin tossed a complete game and the Eagles’ offense did all of its damage early to notch a non-league win over KP. Tarlin allows five hits, five walks, one earned run and struck out seven in a complete game effort to earn the win. After Ben Stamm battled for a single, junior Drew Naisuler (2-for-3, double) launched a two-run home run to put the Eagles head. Aiden Arnold (2-for-2) followed that with a triple and scored on a single from Danny Emerman. SHS head coach Kee Arguimbau said senior Jake Marglous played incredible defense at catcher for the Eagles.

Canton, 4 @ Stoughton, 13 – FinalNikki Coppola went 4-for-4 with two triples and four runs scored and Karly Estremera went 4-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI to power the Black Knights offense. Gina Carafa had three hits and three RBI and got the win with six innings of work, striking out nine. Shannon Flaherty also had a pair of hits and drove in two for Stoughton. Canton was led offensively by Molly Loughran, who was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles.

Franklin, 9 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalFranklin scored three runs in the third and added three more in the sixth inning to beat Foxboro in a game continued from Sunday (rain). Franklin held a 1-0 lead when the game resumed. Olivia DiGiacomo (four RBI) went 3-for-4 and put an exclamation point on the day with a bases-clearing double in the sixth inning. Kylie Bouzan added two hits and scored a pair for runs for Franklin. Jackie Cherry pitched four innings, retiring the side in order in the first, second and third innings. Emily Valentino pitched the last three innings and recorded three strikeouts. FHS head coach Kate Fallon Comeau said Tara Hartnett played excellent defense at shortstop.

King Philip, 3 @ Milford, 6 – FinalHolding a 3-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth, Milford tacked on three runs and then held off King Philip’s late comeback attempt. Shannon Cormier went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a run scored and an RBI, Kaitlin DeCapua had an RBI single, Maddy Bonvino had two hits, including a double, and a run scored and Emily Piergustavo reached base four times and scored one run. Ali Atherton (three strikeouts) earned the win, escaping a pair of jams in both the sixth and seventh innings. King Philip’s Hailey McCasland, Jenn Hutnyan, Jess Bonner and Nicole Carter each had two hits apiece for the Warriors.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Walpole, 13 – Final Lexie Campbell had a pair of hits while Victoria Ziner (double), Caroline Mahoney and Katie Mills had recorded one hit for the Tigers.

Taunton, 24 @ New Bedford, 0 – Final (5 Innings)Taunton booked its place in the state tournament with a dominating win against the Whalers. Courtney Fisher and Jaylin Couto combined on a one-hitter and struck out 11 batters. Kya Enos went 3-for-3 with four RBI and homer, Rebekah Lajoie went 5-for-5 with five RBI and a homerun and eighth grader Hannah Aldrich drove in four for the Tigers. Katie Van Zandt (three RBI) and Alexa White also hit homers for Taunton.

Canton, 8 @ Mansfield, 10 – FinalMansfield goalie Sean Powers turned away 12 shots and Sam O’Connell accounted for four points as the Hornets clipped Canton. Tommy Donnelly and Mike Zampine had strong games on defense in front of Powers. O’Connell scored a hat trick and had one assist while Aidan Sacco scored twice and Cullen Murphy, Hunter Ferreira, Joe Cox and Brad Grant each had a goal and an assist. Danny DeGirolamo also scored once for Mansfield.

Milford, 78 @ Canton, 58 – FinalCanton’s Muhammed Sambo and Cordell Smith each qualified for states but the Bulldogs fell to Milford. Sambo came in first in the 200M at 23.1 while Smith finished first in the high jump (5’10). Gerry Sullivan also came in first for the Bulldogs, clocking in at 2:11.9 in the 800M. Canton swept the 400M hurdles with John Guenthner coming in first (1:01.1), Matt Floyd (1:03.6) coming in second and Riley McDonnell (1:04.00) taking third.

Girls Track
Milford, 78 @ Canton, 58 – FinalCanton’s Bronwyn Mahoney and Sarah Collins each won a pair of events but Milford prevailed with a win. Mahoney took first in the shot put (29’6.5″) and discus (68’8″) and Collins won the 400M hurdles (71.5) and the 800M (2:34.5). Andrea McNeil was first in the one mile (5:57.4) and second in the 800M (2:37.3) and Jimisha Williams crossed first in the 200M (28.0).

Kevin Cambrola earned the win in relief for the Scarlet Hawks, shutting down the Bombardiers’ offense. Ryan Goncalves, Alex Macek and Luke Allegrezza each had two hits for Milford while the Hawks capitalized on five Attleboro errors and seven walks.

Canton, 0 @ Taunton, 15 – Final (6 inn.)Taunton scored five runs in the first inning to set the tone and tacked on runs in all other innings except one to beat Canton. Christian Simoes had an impressive day at the plate, going 4-for-5 with four runs scored and three RBI to pace the Tigers’ offense. Jimmy Hoye was 4-for-4 with two RBI and two run scored, Joe Manchester was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, Billy DaRosa had two hits and two RBI and Matt Machado had two hits and two runs scored. Sophomore Griffin Tomaszycki tossed a six inning shutout in his first career start, allowing six hits while recording six strikeouts.

Foxboro, 2 @ Oliver Ames, 3 – Final (8 inn.)Oliver Ames rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to send the games to extra innings and won with an infield hit an inning later. Senior Cam Johnson came through with the tying hit, driving in Mitch Goulet (walk) and Kyle Gagliardi (single) to tie the game. In the bottom of the eighth, Alden Newman led off with a single, moved to second on a hit batter, moved to third on a sacrifice and beat the tag at home on an infield hit from Gagliardi.

Stoughton, 3 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalFranklin sophomore Jake Macchi delivered a double in the bottom of the sixth inning, knocking in classmate Alex Haba for the go-ahead run to break a 3-3 game and give the Panthers the lead. Bryan Woelfel earned the save with a scoreless seventh inning. Junior Jason Ulrickson earned the win following a tremendous outing, striking out 10 while allowing just four hits and two walks. Jake Lyons added a double and a run scored for Franklin. Ruben Gonzalez was 2-for-3 with a walk, run scored an RBI and Evan Gibb had a two-run double to tie the game for Stoughton.

Sharon, 4 @ King Philip, 10 – FinalKing Philip’s offense erupted for six runs in the sixth inning to break open a tie game. With the Eagles and Warriors knotted at 4-4, King Philip’s bats came to life to plate the go-ahead run and tacked on five more. Chris Wing tossed a complete game, striking out six with three earned runs allowed. Wing also collected two hits at the plate while Stephen Murray went 3-for-3 and Will Weir went 2-for-2.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Mansfield, 5 – FinalNorth Attleboro got off to a good start wtih a run in the top of the first inning but Mansfield with three runs in the bottom half and never surrendered the lead. Big Red came back to tie the game in the top of the third, but Mansfield plated what turned out to be the game winning run in the bottom half. The Hornets tacked on an insurance run in the sixth. Kyle Moran (2-for-3, run) doubled in Colin Gibbons (two runs, RBI) for the game-winner. Zack Peterson also went 1-for-3 with two RBI for Mansfield. Nolan Dousa earned the win, striking out eight with three earned runs allowed.

Attleboro, 0 @ Milford, 12 – Final (5 inn.)Milford junior Emily Piergustavo continued to dominate at the plate, collecting three hits for the third straight game to pace the Hawks. Piergustavo was 3-for-3 with a double, home run, two runs scored and two RBI. Kaitlyn DeCapua (1-for-2) had two RBI, two runs and a walk, Kelley Reichert also knocked in two runs, Maddy Bonvino (double) reached base three times and Shannon Cormier knocked a run in for Milford. At the plate, Erti had a solo home run and a double, finishing with two RBI. Sam Courtemanche was 3-for-3 while Meg Barlow and Kristina Murphy were both 2-for-3. Abby Gallagher added three RBI for the Rocketeers and Ashley Cangiano picked up an outfield assist, throwing a run out at home from center. Kara Bendanillo drove in the first Mansfield run with a bases loaded walk in the fourth and Megan Letendre singled in a second. The Hornets added two more in the fifth on an overthrow and a wild pitch. Letendre and Marissa Staffer each had two hits for Mansfield, which finished with eight as a team.

The Panthers raced out to a 5-1 lead after the first two quarters. Eric Civetti scored a game-high four goals and had one assist, Sam Arsenault scored once and had three helpers, Packie Watson notched two goals and one assist, Chase Tanner found the back of the net twice and Nitin Chaudhury had one goal and one assist for Franklin. FHS head coach Lou Verrochi praised the work of sophomore Pat Morrison, saying “he was a beast in close defense.” Connor O’Rourke made eight saves in net and sophomore Jacob Alexander won 13 of 18 faceoffs for Franklin.

Senior Benny Lin won 7-5, 6-1 at first singles, sophomore Luke Nickerson took a 6-0, 6-4 decision at second singles and senior Gus Daganhardt prevailed with a 7-6, 6-1 win at third singles. North Attleboro won both doubles matches with senior Daniel Zhang and junior Ben Pfeffer taking first doubles 6-2, 6-2 and Andrew Harris and Vikram Senthilakumaran winning 7-5, 6-2 at second doubles.

Milford, 5 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalAll matches were competitive but Milford prevailed with a sweep, winning all five in straight sets. Julie Rabinowitz won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles, Allison Buckenmaier won 6-3, 7-5 at second singles and Caitlin Carafella won 6-1, 6-3 at third singles. The team of Victoria Beyer and Daniella Arojo won 6-4, 6-4 at first doubles and the team of Ashlyn Oliveri and Angela Pillarella won 7-5, 6-1 at second doubles.

Canton, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – FinalTaunton first singles player Olivia Sweeney won her 58th career match, setting a new program record as the Tigers swept Canton. Sweeney won 6-0, 6-4 while Jillian Pagliuca won 6-3, 6-0 at second singles and Vanessa Rosa won 6-2, 3-6, 10-6 at third singles. The team of Emily Moor and Ashleigh Eason won 6-1, 6-0 at first doubles and the team of Jordan Martin and Caroline Hebert won 6-1, 6-1 at second doubles.

Stoughton, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalFranklin seniors Madison Derby and Julia Hogan won a tightly contested match at first doubles in a 10 set tiebreaker to punctuate the Panthers’ win over Stoughton. Derby and Hogan won 7-5, 5-7, 10-6 while juniors Hailey Strier and Jillian McLaughlin won 6-3, 6-1 at second doubles. Hannah Sweeney didn’t lose a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles and senior Anja Deric won 6-0, 6-2 at second singles. Stoughton senior Ally Swartz won 6-4, 6-0 at third singles for the Black Knights.

Nupur Shukla (first singles), Emily Zhang (second singles) and Lulu Yuan (third singles) each won 6-0, 6-0. The team of Katie Merport and Emily Wen won 6-3, 6-1 at first doubles and Rithika Neti and Sophia Fein teamed up for a 6-2, 6-1 victory at second doubles.
