Boys Indoor Track (@ the TRACK at New Balance)
Canton, 45 @ Oliver Ames, 55 – FinalOliver Ames earned eight points from four events to open the season with a close win over Canton. The Tigers took the top two spots in the high jump (Nolan Querzoli, Patrick Dunlap), the 55M dash (Daniel Nowakowski, Lu Etienne), the 2 Mile (Brody Lake, Oscar Feodoroff), and the 1 Mile (Landon Sarney, Feodoroff). Dunlap added a win in the 55M hurdles, Lake took first in the 1000M, and Querzoli added a second win in the 300M. Mo Arugollu earned eight points for Canton by winning the long jump and taking second in the 600M, which was won by teammate Parker Allen. Mark McDonough added a win in the shot put (37-00.00) and Dan Krasylnykov took second in the 300M and third in the 55M dash. Sam Vail added a second place finish in the 55M hurdles.

Mansfield, 86 @ Foxboro, 14 – Final The Hornets took two of the top three spots in all 10 events and won both relays to open the season with an impressive performance and a win over Foxboro. Mansfield swept the shot put (Ben Fahy, Ramari Fernandez, Samuel Rieth), the 55M hurdles (Santino Marrese, Alex Radchouk, KJ Mahoney), the 55M dash (Myles Brown, Chamberlain Guthrie Jr., Sirius Li), and the 1 Mile (Talon Johnson, Joseph Federline Jr., Luke DuBeau). Guthrie Jr. also won the long jump (21-01.50) while Mansfield picked up other wins from Aldric Scott (high jump, 5-06.00), Colby Quersher (1000M, 2:51.91), Marco Geminiani (600M, 1:28.41) and Enaam Bhuiyan (300M, 38.83). Foxboro’s Timmy Chase won the 2 Mile in 11:07.44 while Cooper Lawson took second in both the high jump and the 600M.

Sharon, 75 @ Stoughton, 25 – FinalElijah Wisdom started the season with a bang, winning three events to lead the Eagles past Stoughton. Wisdom took first in the long jump (20-11.75), the 55M dash (6.80), and the 300M (37.14). The Eagles swept four events: the 2 Mile (Matteo Lozano, Isaac Tsymberov, Riley Newbold), the 55M hurdles (Tobiah Stessman, Cole Feifer, Hillel Preil), the 55M dash (Wisdom, David Bondar, Preil), and the 1 Mile (Alexander Blumen, Tsymberov, Alex Pinnix). Kathrik Pisupati (2:43.97) won the 1000M and Zach Connors (1:36.82) crossed first in the 300M. Stoughton’s Joshua Udeh won the high jump and Ethan Jiminez took first in the shot put.

Attleboro, 82 @ Taunton, 18 – FinalAttleboro swept the top three spots in five events in a season-opening win over Taunton. The Bombardiers swept the long jump (Adrian Rivera, Matteo Bulato, Aidan Pantages), the 2 Mile (Owen Lacaillade, Camden Martin, David Fleury), the 55M hurdles (Max Crawford, Pantages, Josh Codella), the 600M (Austin Bowie, Jonathan Tracey, Jacob Blazek), and the 1 Mile (Lacaillade, Martin, Julian Veloz). Billy Badger added a win in the 1000M while Crawford secured a second win in the high jump. Alexander Susol (shot put) and Dmitrius Shearrion (55M dash, 300M) had wins for the Tigers.

Franklin, 65 @ North Attleboro, 35 – FinalTaking nine points from both the shot put and the 55M hurdles, and eight more from the long jump, Franklin took care of business in a win over North Attleboro. Jacob Bowser won the shot put with Cole Sidwell and Julian Rampino completing the sweep, and Quinten Hardt took first in the 55M hurdles followed by Jaret Schmidt and Peter Gubka. Aidan Thorne added a win in the long jump with Gubka taking second for eight more points. Hardt had another win in the high jump, Brad Morin won the 600M, and Andrew Scotland crossed first in the 1 Mile (5:02.25). Abraham Guir was a double-winner for the Rocketeers, taking first in the 55M dash (6.72) and the 300M (37.08) while Connor Peterson clocked in at 2:46.99 to win the 1000M.

King Philip, 30 @ Milford, 70 – FinalMilford’s Alolye Okhipo was a double-winner and the Hawks swept three other events to take down King Philip in the season opener. Okhipo won both the high jump and the 55M hurdles and Milford took the top three placements in the 55M dash (Yael Lopez De Victoria, Jarret Brown, Taylor Feliciano), the 300M (Ben Parson, Shawn Pierce, John Arruda), and the 1 Mile (Brendan Morin, Damian Chaplin, Andrew DiGiando). Andrew Fletcher (2 Mile) and Joseph Pezza (1000M) also had wins for the Scarlet Hawks. Sean Woods scored 11 points for the Warriors with a win in the long jump and second place finishes in the high jump and the 55M hurdles, while Nick Gallagher (shot put) and Luca Giardini (600M) also had wins for KP.

Canton, 47 @ Oliver Ames, 53 – FinalIn the closest matchup of the night, Oliver Ames won both relays to score a close win over Canton. The Bulldogs led 47-43 going into the final two relays but OA took booth, including the clinching 4×400 relay by six seconds. OA’s 4×400 team of Deanna Flaherty, Kensie Graham, Bridget Hughes, and Braelyn Graham clinched the win after the 4×200 team of Grace Okocha, Lavender Kozaka, Julia Hansen, and Brie Antebi took a two-second win at 1:53. Okocha and Kozaka went 1-2 in the 55M dash to earn key points early, and Kozaka also earned key points by taking second in the long jump. Flaherty and Shelby Hodges took the top two spots in the 600M, Kensie Graham and Brynn Cushing were first and third, respectively, in the 1000M, Braelyn Graham took first in the 1 Mile (5:44.81), and Iole Apostoli and Madeline Stewart were the top two runners in the 2 Mile. Canton’s Kati Oliver and Chloe Dubuisson were both double winners with Oliver winning the long jump (16-08.00) and the 55M hurdles (9.89) while Dubuisson took first in the high jump (4-04.00), the shot put (27-04.00) and added three points with a second-place run in the 300M, which was won by Lianna Camille. Sally Hoban added key points in her first varsity meet, taking second in the high jump.

Mansfield, 58 @ Foxboro, 38 – FinalBuoyed by a sweep in the long jump and seven total first place finishes, Mansfield opened the season with a win over Foxboro. Chloe Guthrie had a strong showing with a pair of individual wins and was apart of the winning 4×200 relay team along with Abigail Scott, Olivia Barry, and Elyssa Buchanan, who won the 55M hurdles (9.37). Guthrie won the long jump (15-00.50) and the 55M dash (7.41). Ashley Kirley and Elsie Roberts completed the Hornet sweep of the long jump. Caitlin Garrahy (33-04.00 shot put), Norah Puleo (3:27.64 1000M), and Anna Moore (5:52.66 1 Mile) also won for Mansfield. Chloe Davies won the high jump (4-10) for Foxboro, Paige Boligan took first in the 2 Mile (14:54.84), and Caroline Bass won the 600M (1:46.36) and teamed up with Adrianna Alberts, Ella Campbell, and Maddy Luck to won the 4×400 (4:26.04).

Sharon, 26 @ Stoughton, 68 – FinalSix different Black Knights secured a win to help Stoughton open the season in style with a win over Sharon. Kirsten Alexson (55M hurdles, 10.00), Julie Richardson (600M, 1:50.71), Lindsey Mitchell (1000M, 3:27.06), Grace Weisenberger (shot put, 24-03.00), Belleya Franck (high jump, 4-10.00), and Sivannah Marcy (long jump, 16-01.25) each earned five points apiece for winning their respective events. Stoughton also won both the 4×400 (Briana Lozano, Mitchell, Neala Garrels, Lauradin) and the 4×200 (Richardson, Marcy, Franck, Senai Whigham). Sharon’s Nina Kyei-Aboagye won both the 300M (43.29) and the 55M dash (7.65) while Amaya Zibrak took first in the 2 Mile (15:15.33).

Attleboro, 55 @ Taunton, 45 – FinalA win in one of the relays helped Attleboro secure a win over Taunton in a tight meet. The Bombardiers took points from all but one individual event, including six wins to earn 30 points. All six wins came from a different Bombardier with S’Staaar Parham winning the high jump (4-06.00), Keren Aldana taking first in the shot put (30-06.25), Emilia Smith crossing first in the 1 Mile (11:58.87), Zenda Gjoni winning the 55M hurdles (10.15), Isla Thompson taking first in the 1000M (3:34.49), and Jordan Riley winning the 300M (47.21). Attleboro iced the win with a win in the 4×400 relay (Allie McNamara, Josilyn Lacaillade, Alexis Cincotta, and Natalie Adema). Taunton swept the 55M dash: Grace Inacio won in 7.79 followed by Neveah Young and Ava Uhl, Bella Coughlin won the long jump (14-06.50), Sydney Martin took first in the 600M (1:51.02), and Sarah Mendonca crossed first in the 1 Mile (6:07.86). Taunton’s 4×200 relay of Renee Leao, Larissa Cardoso, Inacio, and Young won in 1:55.60.

Franklin, 81.5 @ North Attleboro, 17.5 – FinalFranklin took first place in all but one event, sweeping three of them in a win over North Attleboro. The Panthers took the top three spots in the shot put (Lily Deforge, Elizabeth Hopkins, Darby Nicholson), the 55M hurdles (Sarah Dumas, Ella Chandaria, Cailyn Bruno), and the 600M (Sophia Cuneo, Allison Powderly, Callie Joyce). Dumas also won both the high jump and the long jump, Chandaria took first in the 55M dash (7.73) and the 300M (43.72), and Madison Bruno crossed first in the 1000M (3:17.66). Molly Galgoczy won the 2 Mile race for the Rocketeers in 12:19.50.

King Philip, 87 @ Milford, 13 – FinalKing Philip scored over five points in each event and swept both relays on its way to a win over Milford. Alex D’Amadio earned 15 points on her own with three first place finishes, winning the long jump (16-10.75), the 55M dash (7.56), and the 300M (43.92). The Warriors also got wins from Rory Bresson (high jump, 4-04.00), Katherine O’Neil (shot put, 32-03.00), Cheyanne Kelley (2 Mile, 14:03.99), Sarah Glaser (55m hurdles, 9.72), Ella McManus (1000M, 3:36.02), Donelle Balunos (600M, 2:02.34), and Addison Burns (1 Mile, 6:05.60).

King Philip, 2 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalKing Philip’s offense was kept in check but freshman McCoy Walsh tossed her first career no-hitter to held the Warriors edge out Attleboro. The Warriors pushed a pair of runs across the plate in the first inning and that was all Walsh needed, recording 12 strikeouts and five walks in a complete game shutout. Senior Sarah Cullen drew a leadoff walk, stole second, moved to third on a passed ball, and scampered home on a wild pitch to give the visitors an early 1-0 lead. Freshman Ali Gill singled, stole both second and third, and came in to score on an RBI ground out by Charlotte Raymond to extend the lead to 2-0. Walsh worked around a one-out walk in the first, induced an inning ending double play in the second, retired the side in order in the third, stranded a runner at second after a walk in the fourth, escaped a two-walk fifth without any damage, and retired the side in order in the sixth. The Bombardiers threatened in the bottom of the seventh, getting two base runners on a pair of errors but got a grounder to short for the final out. Lily Routhier pitched well for Attleboro, scattering five hits and one walk, allowing two runs with four strikeouts in a complete game.

Oliver Ames, 21 @ Milddleboro, 11 – Final

Boys Tennis
Milford, 1 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalFranklin took a pair of wins from both singles and doubles, all in straight sets, to secure a 4-1 win over visiting Milford. Junior Jay Gorgas took a 6-3, 6-2 win at first singles and senior Tyler Fitzpatrick added a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles for the Panthers. The team of Eric Tomaino and Ahan Shetty added a 6-2, 6-1 win at first doubles for Franklin, and the Panthers’ second doubles team of Andrew Amante and Pritam Sompally finished victorious at 6-0, 6-4. Milford sophomore Corey Rattray dropped only one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles.

King Philip, 5 vs. Dighton-Rehoboth, 0 – Final

Taunton, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery from this matchTaunton swept both doubles matches and added two more victories from singles action to return home from Easton with a 4-1 win over Oliver Ames. The junior tandem of Janelle Garcia and Courtney Martin emerged from a hard-fought battle at first doubles with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 win while Taunton’s second doubles team of juniors Caroline Pietnik and Sam Parett earned a 6-0, 6-3 win. Junior Ava Alves added a 6-2, 7-5 win at second singles and junior Morgan Smith earned a 6-3, 6-2 verdict at third singles. OA sophomore Hannah Farber battled to a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles.

Franklin, 4 @ Milford, 1 – FinalFranklin swept singles action and added a straight-set victory at second doubles to pick up a win over Milford on the road. Izzy Trull (6-0, 6-3), Chloe Essam (3-6, 6-2, 6-1), and Brooke Taylor (6-2, 6-1) were all victorious in singles action for the Panthers, and the second doubles team of Shriya Rajesh and Tanvi Shah earned a 6-2, 6-1 win for Franklin. Milford’s first doubles tandem of Ava Merrill and Lily Bogonis emerged from a tight battle with a 7-5, 7-5 win.

Mansfield, 1 @ Canton, 4 – FinalCanton swept the doubles matches and won two of the three singles to earn it second straight victory. Camile Cutter (6-3, 6-2) and freshman Charlotte Powers (6-2, 6-2) won at first and third singles respectively. The doubles teams of Kelli Woodworth and Grace Powers (6-4, 6-2) and Panayiota Michaelidis and Liv McCloskey (6-4, 6-4) followed suit with straight set wins. At second singles, Mansfield’s Claire Copp prevailed in three sets against Olivia Durham to pick up the lone point for the Hornets. After Copp won the first set 7-5, Durham came back to win the second by the same score. Copp would win the third-set tiebreaker 10-6 to get the point.

Taunton, 51 @ Attleboro, 85 – Final

Oliver Ames, 94 @ Canton, 42 – FinalFor Canton, Mo Arugollu was a double-winner in the long jump and the triple jump and added a second place finish in the 400M. Ruairi Ritson added a win in the discus (104′), freshman JJ Faulk nabbed second in both the 100M (11.2) and the long jump (18’4″), and Canton’s 4×400 relay team (Ritson, Arugollu, Dan Krasylnykov, and Dan Glemaud) ran a season-best time of 3:46 to win.

Stoughton, 49 @ Mansfield, 87 – FinalMansfield’s Nate Kablik and Myles Brown went first and second in a pair of events and the Hornets swept four other events to take down visiting Stoughton. Kablik won both the 100M (10.9) and the 200M (23.2) with Brown finishing second in both for key points. Evan Rawlings anchored a sweep in the 400M followed by teammates Jack Reed and Tino Marrese, John Sylvain won the 1 Mile in 4:56.8 with Sam Taylor and Sean Higgins rounding out the top three, Talon Johnson crossed first in the 800M (2:02) and Marco Geminiani and Troy Penney took second and third, respectively, and Colby Quersher’s time of 11:01 was good for first in the 2 Mile; Shaddy Makram and Ben Cain completed the sweep for the Hornets. Ayden Agbasi added a win in the discus (107’8.5″) and the Hornets took first in both the 4×100 (Jack Reed, Matt Breitenstein, Sirius Li, Nolan Clarke – 44.9) and the 4×400 relay (Kyle Dickinson, Tommy Giudicianni, Geminiani, Johnson – 3:38.5).

Oliver Ames, 70 @ Canton, 66 – FinalCanton’s 4×400 relay team (Alyssa Wong, Brianna Rosebrugh, Chloe Duibosson, Lianna Camille) clocked a season-best time of 4:21.9 to take first, Katie Oliver was a triple winner by taking the top spot in the long jump (17’1″), the triple jump (34’9″), the 100M hurdles (17.0), Emma Massih was a double-winner in the shot put (32’3″) and the discus (89’11”), and Luran Slotnick set a new PR with a javelin toss of 91’9″.

Stoughton, 46 @ Mansfield, 90 – FinalAnna Moore and Abby Scott each won a pair of races and the Hornets swept both the triple jump and the long jump on their way to a victory over Stoughton. Moore took first in both the 1 Mile and the 2 Mile races, and Scott added a pair of close wins in the 100M and the 200M; freshman Gwen Pare grabbed third in the 1 Mile, and senior Carmella Simonelli was second in the 2 Mile for the Hornets. In the triple jump, Frankie Spagna set a new PR with a winning leap of 37’3.5″ and Elsie Roberts also set a new PR (33’0″) for second place. Chloe Guthrie (16’0) anchored a sweep in the long jump, Katie Garrahy (90’10”) and Lily Roche (PR, 75’11) went 1-2 in the discus, Norah Puleo (2:31) and Taylor Palinski took first and third, respectively, in the 800M, Sydney DiVasta ran a divisional qualifying time and set a new PR for second in the 400M, and Celia Botelho took third with a new PR in the javelin (85’0″). Mansfield’s 4×100 relay team (Liv Barry, Meg Driscoll, Danni Cuzzi, Gurthie) clocked in at 50.8 for the win.

Baseball
Franklin, 5 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalA strong start offensively and another stellar start from senior Alfred Mucciarone helped the Panthers land a key win over division rival North Attleboro. Franklin wasted little time as it pushed a pair of runs across the plate in the first and another run in the second handed the visitors an early 3-0 lead. A two-run fifth inning extended the lead; North Attleboro got on the board with a run in the bottom of the sixth. Mucciarone threw six innings, scattering five hits (and no walks) for one run, striking out 12, and Dillon Cashin struck out two in a scoreless inning in relief. Ben Jarosz was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Tyler Bellan hit a sac fly to give Franklin its 2-0 lead, and a sacrifice fly from Jase Lyons in the second made it 3-0. Bellan added a two-run, two-out single in the fifth for Franklin. Chris Hanewich led off the bottom of the sixth with a single and scored on a double from Jordan Paradis to get the Rocketeers on the board. Dillon Harding pitched well for North, allowing five runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks, striking out four in five innings while Ayden Delaney tossed two shutout innings in relief.

Softball
Oliver Ames, 6 @ Canton, 4 – Final A four-run fifth inning helped Oliver Ames surge ahead and secure a win on the road over Canton. The Bulldogs built a two-run lead in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI single from Chloe Guerschuny that scored Kailyn Durham (double), and back-to-back walks to Abby Stock and Shealyn Murphy — the latter with the bases loaded. OA cut the deficit in half with an RBI single from Devon Morris in the third, but the most damage came two innings later. Samantha Johnson led off with a single and courtesy runner Skylar Dearborn came home to score after Caitlin Miller reached on an error, making it 2-2. Morris brought in two more runs after getting on base via error, and an RBI double from Crystyliah Covel capped the big inning making it 5-2. Canton cut into the deficit on an RBI from Olivia Mackwell but OA answered with an RBI double from Emily Martin an inning later. Canton threatened in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI from Mackwell, but Katie Melendy got her sixth strikeout of the game, stranding the tying run at second. Durham and Sam Grady each finished with two hits for the Bulldogs while Mackwell had three RBI; for OA, Covel finished with three hits, and Maddie Homer and Johnson each had two.








Boys Lacrosse
Milford, 6 @ Foxboro, 12 – FinalA balanced offensive effort and strong goaltending helped Foxboro take down visiting Milford. Sophomore Jon Sacchetti led the offensive charge with four goals and two assists while Tony Sulham had a big game with a hat trick and one helper. Mike McCabe chipped in with a pair of goals and one assist while both Conor Noone (one assist) and Cam Deleskey each scored one. Adam Addeche was busy in net, making 16 saves in the win.

Taunton, 12 @ Norton, 3 – FinalAfter slipping past Norton in double overtime in the first meeting, the Tigers showed off their improvement as they rolled to a big win over the Lancers on Tuesday. Senior middie Tommy Selfridge paved the way for the Tigers, scoring a team-high five goals while senior attack Thomas Murphy also had a strong day with a hat trick. Connor McGrath and Colt Kennedy both recorded three points in the win with a goal and an assist each, and Liam McFarland and Jake Matos each scored once to round out the Tigers’ scoring. Freshman Oren Cullins was terrific in net, making 16 saves on 19 shots.

Franklin, 19 @ Bishop Feehan, 11 – FinalA big fourth quarter helped Franklin avoid a scare from visiting Bishop Feehan, outscoring the Shamrocks 7-2 in the final frame. The Panthers led by just one at the end of the first quarter (3-2) and at halftime (7-6), and the advantage was only three (12-9) going into the fourth quarter. Luke Davis was nearly unstoppable as he scored an impressive 10 goals to pace the offense, including six in the second half. Jayden Consigli added three goals and two assists, Tyler Sacchetti netted a pair with one helper, and Eddie O’Brien (two assists), Anthony Lampasona, and Ben Paterson each scored once.




Girls Lacrosse
Attleboro, 18 @ Stoughton, 4 – FinalAmelia Collins had seven points and Isabella Cavallini added six points as the Bombardiers rolled to a big win on the road over the Black Knights. Collins scored a hat trick and added four assists while Cavallini scored five goals with one helper for Attleboro, which led 9-3 at halftime. Addison Papagolos and Jordan Mooney each added three goals in the win, Molly Moore chipped in with a pair of goals, and Mekenah Stokes and Megan Ferreira each scored once. Papagolos (five draw controls) and Jess Harrington (four draw controls) both played well. Casey Groppi scored a hat trick for the Black Knights and Amanda Reid scored once.

Foxboro, 16 @ Milford, 3 – Final Foxboro made it two wins in a row as they returned home from Milford with a big victory. Paige Curran scored four goals for the second straight game, adding three assists, and Val Beigel (one assist) also found the back of the net four times to pace the Warriors’ offense. Mary Collins had a hat trick and one helper, Cate Noon scored twice and set up three goals, Mya Waryas (two assists), Kaelin Connors, and Addie Riley (one assist) each added a goal apiece, and Grace Riley recorded two assists. Audrey Campbell earned the win in net, making four saves. Emily Croteau, Carly Haley (from Jordan Douglas), and TJ Downing (from Kaitlin Landry) each scored for the Hawks while Caitlyn Bangert made nine saves in net.

North Attleboro, 3 @ Franklin, 20 – FinalThe Panthers snapped a rare two-game skid, getting back into league action with a big win over North. Franklin used a total team effort to earn the win and senior Katie Peterson scored her 100th career goal.

King Philip, 17 @ Mansfield, 7 – FinalKing Philip’s Makenzie McDevitt had a memorable performance, leading the Warriors to a win on the road at Mansfield. McDevitt had 10 draw controls in the game, including the 100th DC of her career, while also recording a team-high eight points in the win. Alyssa Legere added five points and both Abby MacDonald and Sammy Cloutier added four points for KP. Ava Adams and Ella Palanza (assist) each scored a pair of goals for the Hornets, who also got a goal from Rose Maher (assist), Brooke Butler (assist), and Carys Colby. Lana DiSangro made 13 saves in net for Mansfield.

Boys Tennis
Franklin, 0 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalAttleboro took care of business and defended home court with a clean sweep over shorthanded Franklin. Brady Rosen and Luke Hinton won a close first set and grabbed a 7-5, 6-2 win at first doubles, and Attleboro’s second doubles pair of Clay Tyler and Noem Cook rolled to a 6-1, 6-2.

Neither Chloe Essam and Brooke Taylor — both juniors — dropped a set and picked up wins at second and third singles, respectively. The team of sophomores Brooke Daniels and Sydney Tolonen prevailed in a tight battle at first doubles (6-0, 4-6, 7-5) while seniors Allison Bagley and Tanvi Shah rallied from a one-set deficit to win 6-7 (4), 7-6 (4), 6-3 at second doubles for the Panthers. Attleboro’s Maddie Fuscaldo emerged victorious, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3, in a close contest at first singles.

Stoughton, 91 @ Canton, 46 – FinalFor Canton, Mo Arugollu was a double-winner individually and apart of the Bulldogs’ 4×400 winning relay team. Arugollo took first in both the 400M hurdles (66.8) and the triple jump (36’9), and then teamed up with Dan Krasylnykov, Dan Glemaud, and Ruairi Ritson to win the 4×400 relay. Krasylnykov also won the 400M for Canton, clocking in a season-best time of 53.9. Canton’s 4×100 relay team of JJ Faulk, Casey Lee, Dhruv Patel, and Christian Hanlon took first, and Austin DiBiasio finished second in both the 1 Mile and 2 Mile races. Tyler Baird, who won the 2 Mile in 11:41, and Rhancy Jean Baptiste, who took third in the discus (85’2″) each scored their first varsity points.

Foxboro, 42 @ Mansfield, 92 – FinalMansfield swept the 2 Mile and the long jump, went 1-2 in the 100M and the 1 Mile, and won both relays to take down visiting Foxboro. John Sylvain (10:59) anchored the 2 Mile sweep with Kieran Hoff (11:05) and Sam Taylor (11:18) taking second and third, respectively, while Evan Thevenot led the way in the long jump (18’11) followed by Allen Gouboth and Kenny Barton. Evan Rawlings added a win in the 400M hurdles (58.0) and set a new PR in a win in the 110M hurdles (15.5), Nate Kablik won the 100M (10.9) followed by Sirius Li (11.5), and Talon Johnson crossed first in the 1 Mile (4:37.2) with Marco Geminiani taking second. Troy Penney took first in the 800 (2:07.1) with Colby Quersher finishing third, Ayden Agbasi had a massive PR in the shot put with a winning throw of 47’4″ with Dan Mintz picking up key points with a third place finish; Mintz and Agbasi also took second and third, respectively, in the discus. Mansfield’s 4×100 relay team (Myles Brown, Matt Breitenstein, Li, Kablik) put together a fast time of 44.3 for the win while the Hornets’ 4×400 team (Kyle Dickinson, Tommy Giudicianni, Johnson, Penney) ran 3:40 for the win.

Camille won the 400M (63.7), Bouwmeester crossed first in the 1 Mile (6:21.4), and Massih took first in the discus (88’9) and second in the shot put. Jayda Proffit added a pair of second place finishes in the 100M hurdles (17.9) and the high jump (4’4) as well as third in the triple jump (32′).

Brooke Bell outlasted Alexis O’Keefe 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 at first singles and Courtney Martin and Caroline Pietnik earned a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Carolina Guravage and Rachel Golden at second doubles to give Taunton a pair of crucial points. Ava Alves (6-1, 6-1) and Morgan Smith (6-0, 6-1) won at second and third singles respectively to add to the win. Mansfield’s duo of Jillian Hanley and Savannah Carey pulled out a win at first doubles, taking a third set tiebreaker to beat Janelle Garcia and Cayeesha Charles-Marc 4-6, 6-2, 7-6.

Canton, 24 @ Mansfield, 112 – FinalEvan Rawlings was a triple winner, Evan Thevenot was apart of three total wins, and the Hornets swept three events in a win over Canton. Rawlings took first in three individual events, winning the 400M hurdles (59.3), the 110M hurdles (16.1), and the high jump (5’2″) while Thevenot took first in the long jump (18’6″), the triple jump (38’2″), and ran a leg of the winning 4×100 team (45.8). John Sylvain led a sweep of the 1 Mile with a time of 5:04.6 followed by Sam Taylor and Kieran Hoff, Troy Penney took first in the 800M (2:06.2) with Colby Quersher and Marco Geminiani rounding out the sweep, the Ty Duffin anchored the sweep of the javelin (124’8″) followed by Eamon Doyle and Shawn Kaufman. Ayden Agbassi won two more events, taking first in the shot put (44’8.5″) and the discus (109’3″), Nate Kablik and Myles Brown went 1-2 in the 100M with identical times of 10.8 (Brown also won the 200M in 22.4 followed by senior Jack Reed in 23.1), and Talon Johnson crossed first in the 2 Mile (10:33) for the Hornets. Canton’s Dan Krasylnykov won the 400M in 54.5 while the Bulldogs got key points from Mo Arugollu, who finished second in both the triple jump (37’7″) and the 400M hurdles (67.9). Ruairi Ritson added a second place finish in the shot put (39’5.25″) and Sam Vail was second in the high jump (5’0″).

Elyssa Buchanan was a double winner for the Hornets, taking first in the 100M hurdles (16.2) while anchoring the high jump sweep with a first place leap of 4’8″, followed by Maddie Martin and Riley Charest. Anna Moore ran a division-qualifying time in the 2 Mile, taking first in 12:12.7 with teammates Alex Petrova and Gwen Pare rounding out the top three. The 4×100 relay team of Abby Scott, Danni Cuzzi, Meghan Driscoll, and Katelyn Trolio won in 51.3 while freshmen Lauren Signoriello and Maddie Fernandes teamed with seniors Brooke Penney and Avery Hawthorne to win the 4×400 in 4:22.3. Scott added a win in the 100M (12.4), Carmella Simonelli won the 1 Mile (6:23.1), Signoriello took first in the 400M (61.01), Norah Puleo crossed first in the 800M (2:34.6), Frankie Spagna won the triple jump at 36’9.5″, Hawthorne also won the javelin (81′), and Katie Garrahy was a double-winner, taking first in the discus (85’7″) and the shot put (32’9″). Matt Freitas led the charge offensively with 10 kills while Owen Kelley (seven kill, three aces, three digs) and Erick Foster (seven kills, four blocks) both had strong games for the Tigers. Ty Eckstrom dished out 18 assists and added five digs and three aces, Daniel Freitas had 14 assists and four aces, and Bradley Hylander had another good game in the back row with eight digs.

Stoughton, 60 @ Attleboro, 69 – FinalAttleboro got off to a strong start with a 21-point first quarter, build a double-digit lead at halftime, took a 21-point lead into the final quarter, and then held on after a late surge from Stoughton to secure a 69-60 win. Junior Neo Franco poured in a career-high 29 points, hitting one of Attleboro’s four first quarter three-pointers. Franco had 15 points by halftime while Michael Beverly scored all of his career-high 19 points in the first three quarters. Jaiden Outland and Hayden Crowley also had first quarter threes for Attleboro, which led 38-24 at halftime and 55-34 after three quarters. The Bombardiers limited the visitors to just five points in the second and 10 in the third to grow their big lead. Jayden Costa-Haywood dropped a career-high 25 points for the Black Knights, hitting five three-pointers, and sophomore Matt Greenspoon drained four threes and finished with 16 points.

Canton, 47 @ Taunton, 59 – FinalTaunton took the lead in the second quarter and built on it with a big third, improving to 3-0 on the season with a win over visiting Canton. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead (17-12) with a strong first but the Tigers clawed back and carried a 31-25 lead into halftime. Taunton carried that momentum into the second half, exploding for 21 points in the third quarter to push the lead to 52-37 going into the final eight minutes. Chris Perault scored six points in the second and added a three in the third, finishing with a game-high 19 points for Taunton. Tyson Carter added a three in both of the middle quarters, freshman Jakari Innocent scored 12 of his 14 points between the second and third, and Troy Santos had seven of his nine in the same stretch for the Tigers. Canton hit three threes in the opening quarter but only had two more the rest of the way. Jamaal McConnell led Canton with 13 points while Zaza Francoeur chipped in with 10 points.

Oliver Ames, 50 @ King Philip, 63 – FinalKing Philip caught fire in the third quarter, sinking seven three-pointers inside eight minutes to pull away from Oliver Ames for a 63-50 win. The Warriors scored 10 points in the first and 13 in the second, but Oliver Ames held a two-point lead at 25-23 at the break, thanks in part to Nick Asiaf scoring all nine of his points in the second. In the third, senior Will Laplante hit four threes and had 13 of his team-high 21 points in the third. Tommy McLeish added a pair of triples and Tommy Kilroy hit another as the Warriors exploded for 31 points in the third, flipping a two-point halftime deficit to a 54-37 advantage going into the fourth. Kilroy added another three in the fourth and Tommy Martorano finished with 14 points for KP. OA sophomore Cole Craffey scored a career-high 24 points to pace the Tigers.

Mansfield, 50 @ North Attleboro, 33 – FinalMansfield used a 9-0 run in the second quarter to build a double-digit lead and did enough to keep North Attleboro at arm’s length the rest of the way, grinding out a tough win. The Hornets’ defense limited the Rocketeers to single digits offensively in each of the first two quarters to stake a 27-13 lead by halftime. Caden Colby scored eight of his team-high 11 points in the second quarter, hitting a pair of threes to help the Hornets establish their lead. JT Veiking had eight of his 10 points and Eddie McCoy scored half of his 10 points in the second half to keep Mansfield ahead. Sophomore Chase Frisoli scored a team-high 11 points for the Rocketeers.

Sharon, 71 @ Milford, 54 – FinalSharon set the tone defensively early and had a strong overall showing, taking home a 71-54 win from Milford. The Eagles limited the hosts to just one field goal in the first eight minutes and the offense fed off that energy as Ryan Brown (11 points), Jacob McLoughlin (21 points), and Nate Katznelson (20 points) combined to give the Eagles and 18-2 lead. Anthony Piron and Jaden Segal added buckets in the second as Sharon established a 39-17 lead at halftime. McLoughlin added eight more in the third and both Zach Wise and Dante James contributed baskets to help the Eagles stay in front. Luca Testa scored all of his team-high 11 points in the second half while Jack Buckley and CJ Farrell each chipped in with 10 points for Milford.

Attleboro, 59 @ Stoughton, 29 – FinalAttleboro locked in defensively, allowing Stoughton just 11 points in the opening half, and then pulled away with a dominant third quarter to earn its third straight win. The Bombardiers led 13-4 after one and 26-11 at the break, but scored 21 points in the third to break the game wide open. Vanessa Ellis continued her strong start to the season with a game-high 21, including eight in the third quarter alone. Lily Routhier added 16, half of those coming in the third. Attleboro also got eight points from Avery James and seven from Kayla Goldrick. Stoughton was led again by freshman Kirsten McKay, who finished with 12 points. She had eight of those in the second half. Katrina Varnum added four points and nine rebounds, while Caleigh Clark, Raina Tat, and Avery Hobbs each scored three points for the Black Knights.

Taunton, 56 @ Canton, 52 – FinalTaunton turned up the defensive pressure in the fourth quarter, holding Canton to just seven points over the final eight minutes, and rallied from seven points down to pick up its third win in a row to start the season. The game was tied at 24-24 at the break, but Canton stepped up on offense to win the third 21-14, led by Samya DaSilva with seven points and Erin Beatty with six. Taunton responded in the fourth, staying unbeaten under new coach Gretchen Rodrigues and in a first-place tie atop the Kelley-Rex. Aaliyah Yera scored six points in the fourth, while Cali Melo added four and Jillian Doherty added four free throws. Freshman Taryn Campbell led the way for the Tigers with 13 points, including eight of Taunton’s 14 in the third. Doherty and Melo each finished with 11 and Yera had nine, all of them from beyond the arc. DaSilva was Canton’s top scorer with 14, while Beatty chipped in with eight and Emily McCabe had seven for the Bulldogs, who knocked down nine threes as a team.

Franklin, 50 @ Foxboro, 55 – FinalCamryn Collins scored 20 points for the second straight game and Foxboro rallied from 11 points down in the second half to end Franklin’s 44-game league win streak. The first quarter was tight, as both teams came out firing. Collins had 10 of Foxboro’s 16 and Katie Peterson had 11 of Franklin’s 15. The Panthers locked down in the second, holding Foxboro to just two points to go into the locker room leading 27-18. Foxboro rallied early in the third, cutting the lead to just two, but then Franklin put together a run to extend the lead out to as many as 11. Sasha Tracey knocked down a pair of threes for the Panthers and had all six of her points in the quarter. Down nine heading to the final eight minutes, the Warriors found another gear on both ends of the floor and pulled out a 25-11 fourth quarter to secure the victory. Kailey Sullivan caught fire and scored 10 of her 12 points in the fourth, while Ava Hill added three of her seven and Collins scored seven points in the frame, including a clutch pull-up jumper to put Foxboro in front. Peterson would finish with 19 for the Panthers, 15 of them in the first half, and Lizzie Newman scored seven points.

King Philip, 52 @ Oliver Ames, 48 – FinalEmily Sawyer scored a career-high 28 points and the Warriors held on down the stretch to pick up an important, early-season road win. Sawyer was dominant in the first half, scoring six in the first quarter and 10 more in the second. Jackie Bonner added a pair of threes to help KP jump out to a 26-18 lead heading into the locker rooms. OA rallied in the second half, winning the third quarter 13-10 to cut the deficit to just five (36-31). The Tigers took the lead in the fourth, but KP was able to make the plays it needed down the stretch to secure the win. Jordan Bennett scored five of her seven points in the fourth and Sawyer added six more to help the Warriors hang on late. Sarah Hilliard made her season debut for OA and scored 11 and grabbed seven boards in the loss. Avery Gamble added nine points, including seven in the fourth, and Maddie Homer (12 rebounds, including nine offensive) and Kamryn Derba each chipped in with six.

North Attleboro, 41 @ Mansfield, 72 – FinalMansfield tied a program record with 72 points, remarkably scoring 18 in each of the four quarters, and clamped down on defense in the second half to secure its first win of the season. Abby Wager tied a season-high with 22 points, including 16 in the first half, to lead the Hornets. Kara Santos scored 17, eight of them in third, and Olivia Salisbury scored seven. Mansfield led 36-24 at halftime, but the Hornets pulled away after the break, holding North to 17 points in the second half, and started to dominate on the glass. North was led by freshman Ella McLaughlin, who hit three from beyond the arc and finished with 12 points. Ava McKeon chipped in with nine and Sam Sweeney scored eight, including a pair from outside.

Milford, 45 @ Sharon, 48 – FinalSharon rallied from eight points down in the fourth quarter and Olivia Landstein (five points and four steals) buried a late three to secure the Eagles their first victory under first-year coach Matt DellaBarba. Jasmine Davis continued to dominate in the paint, scoring a season-high 25 points and pulling down 19 rebounds. Rachael Hager had a solid all-around game for the Eagles with eight points, nine rebounds, four steals, and three assists.

The Bombardiers got key 1-2 finishes in both the 800M and the 2 Mile while Iasiah Traore was a double winner. Jack Blouin (3rd in the 1 Mile) took first in the 800M at 2:10.7 while Michael Jennison took second in 2:11.1. In the 2 Mile, Ethan Syliva (2nd in the 1 Mile) secured a 8-second PR time of 10:18.9 to take first while Less Casstevens was second at 10:38.3. Traore won both the shotput and the discus, Adrian Rivera won the 400M with a PR time of 54.0, Jordan Rivera added a first place finish in the 200M (23.1), and Ethan Gattoni took first in the javelin. Kaiden Murray added key points with second place finishes in the 100M (11.0), the 110M hurdles (15.9), the long jump, and the triple jump.

The Tigers took first in the 4×400 relay with the team of Ava Uhl, Lexie Zakrzewski, Phylicia Dias, and Caelen O’Leary taking the win to clinch the meet victory. Nia Mainer-Smith was a double winner for Taunton, taking first in the 400M (60.3) and the 200M (27.3). Taylor Doherty added a win in the high jump (4’8), Emersyn DePonte won the 1 Mile (5:34), Colby Dunham was first in the 2 Mile (12:49), and Dias added a first place finish in the 800M (2:34).
