#13 Sharon, 11 @ #4 Lexington, 19 – FinalEmma Eberhardt closed out her Sharon career with six goals and an assist, finishing with 104 goals on the season alone and 219 for her career. She became the first player in program history to record more than 100 goals in a single season. Jenna Goldstein had a hat trick for the Eagles, while Bridget McManus and Cass Barbera each scored once. Rose Wald made 10 saves in the loss and head coach Shara Ginthwain added that Wald’s passing helped the Eagles get into their transition game. Ginthwain also praised the defensive work of Maxine Gordon and Lili Ross. Eberhardt and McManus combined to win 13 draws for Sharon.

#9 Newton North, 14 @ #8 King Philip, 20 – FinalKing Philip senior Dana Truini stepped up and delivered for the Warriors in their playoff opener, leading the way with a team-high five goals along with one assist in a win over Newton North. Olivia Tormey netted four goals, Jess Sullivan added three goals and two assists, and Caroline Klim and Mackenzie Mazur each scored three times in the win. Caroline Watson made 12 saves in net to earn the win. Allie Wilson added a goal and two assists and Julia Marsden scored once and added one helper. #8 King Philip advances to play at #1 Walpole on Thursday at 4:30.

#13 Needham, 3 @ #4 King Philip, 2 – FinalKing Philip picked up wins at first and second singles but the visiting Rockets swept doubles action and added another win from third singles to get the win. Marco DiStefano closed his career with a 6-7, 7-6 (9-7), 12-10 win at first singles while Nick Putney picked up a 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 win at second singles.

#12 Wellesley, 5 @ #5 Sharon, 0 – Final

#9 Franklin, 3 @ #8 Mansfield, 2 – FinalFranklin sophomore Liam Marr earned one of the biggest wins of his career, knocking off league MVP Luke Nickerson at first singles to help the Panthers earn the win. Marr battled to a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 win at first singles. Rohan Herur added a 6-2, 6-3 win at second singles, and the team of Saketh Saripalli and Vayshnav Malhotra picked up a 6-3, 7-5 win at first doubles.

#10 BC High, 3 @ #7 North Attleboro, 2 – FinalBC High grabbed two wins in doubles action and one more at first singles to sneak by North Attleboro in the opening round of the playoffs. North Attleboro junior Alex Pfeffer won 4-1 (default) at second singles while sophomore Sam Gallagher earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles.

#15 Taunton, 1 @ #2 Hingham, 4 – FinalTaunton senior Brett Beaulieu closed his career with a come-from-behind 3-6, 7-5, 10-4 win at first singles.

#12 Holliston, 1 @ #5 Foxboro, 4 – FinalFoxboro swept singles action and added one more win from doubles play to beat Holliston. Pam Nelson won 6-1, 6-1 at first singles, Sarah Prag picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles, and Julia Muise earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles. The team of Kendall Milender and Paige Krockta added a fourth point with a 7-6 (7-0), 6-4 win at first doubles. #5 Foxboro will travel to #4 Dover Sherborn on Friday at 4:00.

#10 Canton, 4 @ #7 Duxbury, 1 – FinalCanton went on the road and earned a win over Duxbury, sweeping singles action in the process. Rachel Kupferman (first singles), Natalie Keppler (second singles) and Sarah Hernandez (third singles) each picked up a win as well as the team of Lily Hazam and Kiara Cerruti (second doubles). #10 Canton will travel to #2 Old Rochester on Thursday at 2:30.

#7 St. John’s (Shrewsbury), 0 @ #2 Milford, 3 – FinalMilford earned its second straight postseason sweep, taking down St. John’s Shrewsbury 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 27-25). Joao Boaventura (17 digs) and Tiago Filadelfo (15 digs) each had 14 kills to pace the offense while Zach Browne chipped in with nine kills. Josh Orellana dished out 48 assists for the Hawks, who will host #6 Natick on Friday night at 7:00.

Franklin, 6 vs. Bishop Feehan, 0 – Final Franklin seniors Gerard Collins and Ben Guzman combined for the shutout, allowing a combined six hits with neither issuing a walk to lead the Panthers to a win over visiting Bishop Feehan. Collins scattered five hits over four innings in his first career start to earn the win while Guzman picked up a three-inning save, allowing just one hit while stirking out one. Scott Elliott paced the offense with three hits, including a double, and two runs scored, Alex Haba added two hits, a run scored and knocked in a team-high four runs, and Cooper Ross had a pair of hits, an RBI and a run scored. JB Floris (RBI) and Joe Lizotte (run) each had a hit for Franklin.

Milford, 2 @ King Philip, 4 – FinalKing Philip’s Terry Murray allowed just three hits in a complete game performance, helping the Warriors earn a win over visiting Milford. Murray struck out five with two unearned runs allowed in the fifth inning. King Philip scored all four of its runs in the fourth inning. Murray and David Morganelli each had two hits, while Chris Sawyer, Tom Weir, and Connor Cooke each had an RBI.

Oliver Ames vs. New Bedford – Postponed to Thursday, 5/30 at 4:00.

Softball
Mansfield, 5 @ Holliston, 0 – FinalSarah Cahill tossed a two-hit shutout for the Hornets to earn a win in the first of back-to-back games against the Panthers to close out the regular season. Cahill struck out 12 in the win. The game stayed scoreless until the fifth inning when the Hornets broke things open with a four-run rally. Sydney Woods led off with a walk and advanced twice on fielder’s choices. She scored the opening run on a Megan Letendre single. Mady Bendanillo drew a walk and then both runners came home on a Caty DeMassi double. Mary Muldoon completed the rally with an RBI-single. In the sixth, Mansfield added a fifth run when Bendanillo drew a bases loaded walk.

North Attleboro, 7 @ Dartmouth, 8 – Final (11 inn.)The Rocketeers fell just short in back-and-forth extra inning battle at Dartmouth. Ashley Cangiano had four hits for North Attleboro, including a double and a triple. Katie Daby and Bella Erti chipped in with three hits apiece while Annabelle Hebard had two hits and knocked in three runs. Both Daby and Cangiano initiated double plays while Hebard finished with six assists defensively.

Canton, 11 vs. Old Rochester, 3 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery from this game.Canton raced out to a 5-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back in a win over a potential playoff opponent. Junior Tommy Vaughan had two goals with five assists, senior Griffin Roach notched a hat trick with one assist, Andrew Canto found the back of the net four times, and Davis Allen chipped in with a goal and one helper. Dan Cohen (goal), Chris Lavoie (assist), and Ben Guerini (assist) each had a point for the Bulldogs.

Milford, 4 @ Mansfield, 18 – FinalMansfield won its final game of the season, beating Milford to qualify for the state tournament. Brady Kessler led the way for the Hornets with four goals and three assists, Mike Reed (three assists) and Nico Holmes each scored a hat trick, and Jake Quirk netted one tally and had three helpers. Both Aidan Sacco and Connor Quirk found the back of the net twice for Mansfield, who finishes with an 8-8 record for tournament purposes.

Boys Tennis
Milford, 3 @ Attleboro, 2 – FinalMilford won a pair of matches in singles action and one more in doubles play to edge Attleboro. Brendan O’Shaughnessy won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles and Cam Doherty picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory at third singles. The team of Ben Johnson and Dylan Wang prevailed 7-5, 6-3 at second doubles to secure the win. Attleboro’s Jared Cooper won 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (3-7), 11-9 in a marathon match at second singles and the team of Luis Sandoval and Eli Araujo earned a 6-2, 7-5 win at first doubles.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Canton 0 – FinalNorth Attleboro picked up a sweep on the road, winning all five matches in straight sets. Jonah Manso won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles while the team of Vikram Senthilakumaran and Tomas Bentley won 6-0, 6-2 at first doubles. Alex Pfeffer (second singles), Sam Gallagher (third singles), and the team of Will Redding and Isa Siddiq (second doubles) all won 6-0, 6-0.

Mansfield, 4 @ Westwood, 1 – FinalThe Hornets won twice in singles action and twice in doubles play to beat Westwood in their regular season finale. Luke Nickerson didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles and Luke Devine earned a 6-3, 6-3 win at second singles. The team of Sethu Odayappan and Max Bank rallied for a 2-6, 6-0, 6-1 win at first doubles and Sam Donellan and Dheeraj Valluru emerged with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Canton, 4 @ North Attleboro, 1 – FinalThe Bulldogs won all three singles matches and added a fourth point through a win at second doubles to knock off North Attleboro in their season finale. Rachel Kupferman (first singles) and Natalie Keppler (second singles) each won 6-0, 6-0 while Sarah Hernandez battled to a 6-3, 6-2 win at third singles. Canton’s second doubles team of Kiara Cerruti and Lily Hazam won 6-1, 6-2. North Attleboro’s Haley Strom and Sam Martino won 6-4, 6-1 at first doubles.

King Philip, 4 @ Oliver Ames, 1 – FinalKing Philip went on the road and swept singles action, grabbing a fourth point with a win at first doubles to close the regular season with a win over Oliver Ames. Erin Regnier didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles while sophomores Katarina Schneider (second singles) and Mia Valencia (third singles) each won 6-1, 6-0. The team of Grace Ely and Katie Welch earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory at first doubles. Oliver Ames’ Sarah Morley and Kate McCormick won 6-4, 6-4 at second doubles.

Attleboro, 5 @ Taunton, 15 – FinalTaunton had its best offensive outing of the season, plating seven runs in the first inning, five more in the second, and three in the third to beat visiting Attleboro. Jared Roderick (RBI, run), Nic Notaragenlo (RBI, two runs, two walks), and Jack Moynihan (three RBI) each had two hits for the Tigers while Sean Quinlan and Josh Lajoie each drove in a pair of runs. Moynihan earned the win, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and five strikeouts in five innings of work. Danny MacDougall and Justin Rollo each pitched a scoreless inning for Taunton. Attleboro’s Alvaro Espinal went 3-for-4 with a pair of triples.

Sharon, 4 @ Foxboro, 3 – Final (11 Inn.)Foxboro erased a three-run deficit, scoring twice in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings but Sharon regained the lead in the top of the 11th and held on the for the win. The Eagles built a 3-0 lead with two runs in the third and one in the fifth before Foxboro got one back in the fifth and tied it in the seventh. Elliot Patotsky scored the game-winning run for Sharon while Justin Nault had two hits. Sophomore JD Rittenberg pitched 4.1 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win for Sharon. Foxboro’s Adam Lanctot had two hits and scored two runs.

Franklin, 12 vs. Hopkinton, 6 – FinalAfter Hopkinton scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning to make it a one-run game, Franklin responded with six runs in the bottom half to pull away from the Hillers and earn the win. Scott Elliott had a big day at the plate with four hits, four runs, and two RBI while Jack Nally (two runs, walk), Jake Macchi (run, three RBI), and Jake Fitzgibbons each had two hits for Franklin. Senior Alex Haba added an RBI and a run scored. Ben Guzman earned the win in relief, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk, striking out four in 4.2 innings. Will Pacheco earned the save with one run allowed on two hits and two strikeouts in 1.1 innings.

King Philip, 5 @ Stoughton, 3 – Final KP senior David Morganelli had a strong outing on the mound, striking out eight in five innings of work to earn the win in a non-league contest against Stoughton. Jake Silveria struck out four in two innings of relief for KP to get the save. Zack Zarba had two hits and two RBI, Chris Sawyer added two hits and an RBI and Morganelli helped his own cause with two hits and an RBI.

Milford, 5 vs. Hopedale, 4 – FinalMilford senior Danny Corsini knocked in Justin Applebee in the ninth inning to give the Hawks a walk-off win over non-league rival Hopedale. With the win, Milford qualifies for the state tournament.

Oliver Ames, 12 vs. Dighton-Rehoboth, 0 – FinalOliver Ames’ offense exploded for 16 hits in its best offensive showing of the year, beating D-R to keep its postseason hopes alive. Junior Jacob Levine had three hits and smashed a three-run home run, CJ Deveau added two hits and hit a home run, and Jared Spillane added three hits as well for the Tigers. Chris Pearsons earned the win, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out four in five innings of work. Tyler Avery worked two scoreless innings in relief.

Softball
Taunton, 11 @ Attleboro, 0 – 5th inning/suspendedThe game was stopped in the fifth inning due to weather. The game will be continued on Saturday morning at 10:00AM.

Canton, 1 @ Dedham, 9 – Final

Foxboro, 13 vs. Ursuline Academy, 0 – FinalThe Warriors sealed their place in the playoffs with a big win against D2 Ursuline Academy. Emma Rohan went the distance to earn the win, allowing only three hits and striking out five in the shutout. Rylie Martignetti had three hits and drove in five runs to power the offense for Foxboro. Peyton Feldman also had three hits, including a homer, as did Morgan Sylvestre. Chelsea Gibbons went 1-for-2 and drove in three in the win.

King Philip, 0 @ Bishop Feehan, 1 – FinalKing Philip senior Faith Turinese pitched a great game for the Warriors with just one allowed but the Warriors weren’t able to do any damage offensively. Meghan Gorman, Reagan Simeone and Grace Kelley each had a hit for the Warriors.

Oliver Ames, 1 @ North Attleboro, 16 – Final (5 Inn.)The Rocketeers sealed the outright Davenport division title with the win. North used a 14-run second inning to put the game away. Katie Daby had a grand slam in the rally, finishing with five RBI in the game. Ashley Cangiano also had three hits and two RBI for North, while Belle Clarkin (two runs scored), Abby Gallagher (two runs), and Olivia Capobianco (three runs) each had a pair of hits. Bella Erti picked up the win, allowing three hits and one unearned run. Katie Abreu knocked in Abbi Holmes on a two-out double in the third for OA’s run.

Boys Lacrosse
Franklin, 12 @ Longmeadow, 7 – FinalFranklin went on the road and picked up a marquee victory over Western Mass. powerhouse Longmeadow, who have won four straight sectional titles. Jake Davis led the way with a hat trick and three assists, Nitin Chaudhury also scored a hat trick and had an assist, and Ben Greco scored twice for the Panthers, who jumped ahead 7-3 at half. Will Davis had 12 saves while FHS coach Lou Verocchi noted his defense had a strong performance, limiting the Lancers to four goals through three quarters.

Milford @ Dighton-Rehoboth, 4:30

Oliver Ames, 16 vs. Southeastern, 5 – FinalOliver Ames earned a win in its final regular season game, finishing with the program’s best regular season record ever at 14-4. Frankie Ireland had three goals and two assists, going over the 100-point mark for his career. Shane Kilkelly added five goals and two assists, Colin Bourne and Sandro Masciarelli each had a hat trick, and Sam Stevens chipped in with a goal and four assists.

Milford, 14 vs. Assabet Valley, 2 – FinalMilford celebrated senior night with a big win over visiting Assabet Valley. Seniors Emily Haley and Sophia Bucal led the charge with four goals apiece while senior Riley Campbell added one goal and senior Savanna Rosado made eight saves in net for the win. Junior Elena Bon Tempo added four goals and Alyssa Williamson tacked on a nice goal for the Hawks.

Oliver Ames, 5 @ Silver Lake, 13 – Final

Sharon, 10 vs. Bishop Feehan, 12 – FinalSharon finished with a split of the season series against Feehan, a potential D1 East opponent. Emma Eberhardt, fresh off her 200th career goal two days ago, scored four goals and recorded one assist for the Eagles. Cass Barbera, Maeve Barbera, and Molly McAlevey each scored twice and Mia Lappen added one for Sharon. Rose Wald made 11 saves in the loss.

Taunton, 19 @ Southeastern, 5 – FinalTaunton sophomore Alana Tavares scored her 200th career goal in the Tiger’s win on the road.

Taunton, 4 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalTaunton swept all three singles matches with one more point coming in doubles play in a victory over Attleboro. Brett Beaulieu won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, Charlie Fiske earned a 7-5, 6-0 decision at second singles, and Dylan Kullas prevailed 6-2, 7-5 at third singles. The team of Conor Fitzsimmons and Trevor Hart won 7-6, 6-1 at second doubles for the Tigers.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 4 – FinalFranklin won two singles matches and swept doubles play to beat Oliver Ames and secure at least a share of the Kelley-Rex division title. Sophomore Liam Marr didn’t lose a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles while Rohan Herur dropped just two in a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles. Franklin’s first doubles team of Saketh Saripalli and Shoumik Sompally won 6-0, 6-0 while the Panthers won by default at second doubles. The third singles match was called due to weather.

Mansfield, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip’s first doubles team of Nate Ihley and Zak Ryan overcame a three game deficit in the second set, winning five straight to earn a 6-3, 6-4 win and clinch the victory for the Warriors, who stay in the hunt for the division title with the win. Nick Putney won 6-2, 6-0 at second singles and Jack Cannon added a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles for KP. Mansfield’s Luke Nickerson won 7-5, 6-1 at first singles while Sam Donellan and Dheeraj Valluru picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Foxboro, 2 @ Sharon, 3 – FinalSharon won all three singles matches to pick up a victory over Foxboro and clinched the Davenport division title outright. Senior Danujan Thirumavalavan won 6-2, 6-1 at first singles, junior Alberto Olivei picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles, and freshman Rueman Bhattacharyya earned a 6-0, 6-0 decision at third singles to clinch the win. Foxboro’s Brian Gardner and Justin Neale won 6-2, 6-2 at first doubles and the team of Sean McAvoy and Noah nicks prevailed 6-4, 6-4 at second doubles for the Warriors.

Attleboro, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – FinalTaunton won all five matches in straight sets to defend home court against visiting Attleboro. The team of Sam Martin and Brianna Fevrier earned a 6-2, 6-1 win at first doubles while the Tigers’ second doubles team of Ogechi Ariguzo and Kayla Parrett picked up a 6-0, 6-2 decision. Jillian Pagliuca won 6-2, 6-0 at first singles, McKenzie Lucie earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles, and Jocelyn Pagliuca won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles.

Senior Nupur Shukla won 6-3, 6-0 at first singles while freshman Valeria Barajas picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles. The team of Lauren Glass and Makaila Cheung had the other point for the Eagles with a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles.

Attleboro, 8 @ Bishop Feehan, 9 – FinalAttleboro junior Camden Fitzpatrick had a day to remember at the plate but the Bombardiers fell just short on the road at Bishop Feehan. Fitzpatrick went 3-for-4, hitting a grand slam, a solo home run, and an RBI single for Attleboro.

Canton, 3 @ Milford, 7 – FinalMilford scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead and tacked on two runs in each the fifth and sixth innings to beat visiting Canton. Colby Pires was strong on the mound, tossing a complete game with three runs allowed and two strikeouts. Matt Shaver went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored while Justin Applebee had two hits, an RBI, and a run scored for the Hawks.

Taunton, 3 @ Mansfield, 8 – FinalMansfield broke open a scoreless game in the bottom of the third, exploding for six runs and then tacked on two more in the bottom of the fourth to earn a win over visiting Taunton. The Tigers plated two runs in the top of the fourth to cut the lead to 6-2 before Mansfield answered with two runs of its own to make it 8-2. Kyle Moran (two RBI, run), Eric Longley (RBI, two runs), and Jake Gerraughty (run, RBI) each had two hits to pace the Hornets’ offense. John Carney earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks, striking out seven in five innings of work. Matt Scibilia allowed an unearned run on two hits and a walk in two innings of relief. Taunton junior Nic Notarangelo went 2-for-3 with two runs scored while sophomore Danny MacDougall went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Milford, 13 @ Canton, 12 – FinalMilford senior Lucy Creedon came through in the clutch with the bases, delivering a two-run single in the top of the seventh to give the Hawks a win on the road in a close, back-and-forth contest with Canton. The Bulldogs built an early 6-0 lead, and led 8-3 after three innings before Milford’s offense roared to life with an eight-run fifth inning to take an 11-8 lead. Canton responded with a four-run sixth inning to go ahead 12-11 before Creedon put the visitors in front for good in the seventh. Milford freshman Gianna Cacciola went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored, hitting a home run that sparked the Hawks’ big fifth inning. Freshman Olivia Morelli went 4-for-4 with three runs and a two-run double for Milford. “Our girls never gave up, they never quit, ” said Milford head coach Steve DiVitto.

Oliver Ames, 7 @ Whitman-Hanson, 2 – FinalOliver Ames senior Colleen Larson had a game to remember, earning the win in the circle and hitting a home run to pace the Tigers to a win on the road. Larson struck out five in a complete game effort and smacked a three-run home run in the seventh inning to give OA the cushion it needed for the win. OA scored in the seven, third, and fifth innings to build a 4-2 lead. Grace Simone (two runs, RBI), Kayla Georgeu (run, RBI), Katie Abreu (two runs) and Abbi Holmes each had two hits for OA.

Taunton, 9 @ Dighton-Rehoboth, 3 – FinalTaunton scored three runs in the first, tacked on four more in the fifth, and plated two more insurance runs in the sixth to sweep the season series with Dighton-Rehoboth. Kelsey White improved to 12-1 on the season, allowing three runs (one earned) on seven hits, no walks, and nine strikeouts. White helped her own cause with outstanding defense and drove in three runs offensively. Abbie McDonough went 3-for-3 with an RBI and stolen base while McKenzie McAloon (RBI, SB), Alexa White (two runs), Payton Ceglarski, Jaime Brown, Ava Venturelli (RBI), and Tayah DaCosta (RBI) each had a hit for the Tigers.

Sharon, 2 @ Stoughton, 4 – FinalIn a game continued from Monday, Stoughton scored two runs in the final innings to grab a win over visiting Sharon. The Eagles held a 2-1 lead on Monday before freshman Sydney Menz (3-for-3) singled, took third on a bunt single from Karly Estremera, and scored on an RBI from Jordan Lyons. On Tuesday, Menz was the catalyst for the Black Knights again, smacking a one-out triple to right and scoring on a bunt single from Estremera. Lyons grabbed her second RBI by knocking in Estremera with a single. Nicole Baker grabbed her 12th win of the season, stirking out seven with four hits allowed.

Franklin, 15 @ Canton, 7 – FinalFranklin raced out to a 5-0 lead after a quarter but Canton chipped away to get within two (9-7) early in the fourth quarter, but the Panthers scored the final six goals to pull away and secure a perfect record in Hockomock League action. Jake Davis had three goals and three assists for Franklin while Owen Palmieri scored five goals, Ben Greco had a goal and four assists, and Jacob Alexander (who had a strong day at the faceoff X) added two goals. Griffin Roach (assist) and Andrew Canto each had three goals for Canton while Tommy Vaughan had one goal and two assists. LSM Nick Mackay had his best all-around game of the season and won some key faceoffs for the Bulldogs.

Freshman Suraj Ramanathan picked up a 6-0, 7-5 win at first singles, sophomore Minh Duong earned a 7-6 (7-0), 6-0 win at second singles, and sophomore Ethan Nguyen secured a 6-2, 7-5 win at third singles for the Bulldogs. The team of senior Tyler Duffy and junior Justin Luk emerged with a 7-5, 6-4 win at first doubles. Milford’s Ben Johnson and Dylan Wang earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at second doubled.

North Attleboro, 4 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final North Attleboro went on the road and swept all three singles matches and added a fourth win at second doubles to beat the Warriors. Jonah Manso (first singles) and Sam Gallagher (third singles), both sophomores, won 6-0, 6-0 while junior Alex Pfeffer secured a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles. The team of Saketh Uppuluri and Justin Strom picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles. Foxboro’s Brian Gardner and Justin Neale won 6-2, 6-3 at first doubles.

King Philip, 4 @ Xaverian, 1 – FinalKing Philip went on the road and knocked off Xaverian in a non-league showdown. Marco DiStefano won 6-1, 6-2 at first singles, Nick Putney won by the same score at second singles, and Jack Cannon completed the singles sweep with a 6-1, 6-0 result at third singles. KP’s first doubles team of Nate Ihley and Zak Ryan earned a 6-0, 6-1 win.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Brockton, 2 – FinalOliver Ames completed a season sweep of the Boxers with a 3-2 win on the road. The Tigers won all three singles matches to beat Brockton. Senior captain Henry Simone battled to a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) win at first singles, freshman Kylash Ganesh won 6-4, 6-4 at second singles, and junior Yusaf Hameed prevailed 6-4, 6-3 at third singles.

Sharon, 3 @ Bishop Feehan, 2 – Final – Sharon junior Alberto Olivei prevailed in a tiebreak to win the second set, his match, and the entire match on the road at Bishop Feehan. Olivei won 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) at second singles while freshman Rueman Bhattacharyya picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles. The team of senior Max Brody and freshman Max Chen won 6-2, 6-0 at first doubles.

Taunton, 4 @ New Bedford, 1 – FinalFor the third straight season, the Taunton boys tennis team is headed to the state tournament. The Tigers qualified by beating New Bedford, sweeping all three singles matches and getting one more win in doubles action. Brett Beaulieu (first singles), Dylan Kullas (third singles), and the team of Barrett Hodgson and Tyler Goddard (second doubles) each won 6-0, 6-0 while Charlie Fiske picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win at second singles.

Franklin, 3 @ Attleboro, 2 – FinalFranklin swept doubles action and earned one more point with a victory in singles action to beat Attleboro. Krissy Stoyonova earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles, the team of Brynn Jacobs and Ashvika Boopathy won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 at first doubles, and Vagmi Kantheti and Tessa Cacioppo teamed up for a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win at second doubles. Attleboro’s Ella Lynch-Bartek won 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 at first singles and Bri Aronne picked up a 6-4, 6-0 win at second singles.

Canton, 5 @ Milford, 0 – FinalThe Bulldogs won all five matches in straight sets to knock off Milford on the road. Rachel Kupferman (first singles) and Natalie Keppler (second singles) each won 6-0, 6-0 while Sarah Hernandez pulled out a 6-2, 6-1 decision at third singles. King Philip, 3 vs. Norwood, 0 – FinalAfter nearly two weeks since their last game, King Philip returned to action with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-13) sweep over Norwood. Cam Corey dished out 30 assists and had six digs, Kyle Desrochers added 13 service points (one ace), and six digs, and Max Armour chipped in with eight service points and four aces. Eric Altobello paced the offense with 11 kills and two digs, Jimmy Peterson added seven kills and a block, and Mike O’Brien finished with five kills.

Milford, 3 vs. Bellingham, 0 – FinalMilford’s Matt Dague had a team-high five kills while Gabe Brandao added four and the Hawks earned a 3-0 sweep (25-13, 25-4, 25-10) over Bellingham. Nuno Mestre dished out 13 assists in the win.

Lorenzo Wilson singled, Morry walked, and Robbie Furtado singled to load the bases for Attleboro. Camden Fitzpatrick delivered the big hit with a single to score two runs. Morry pitched a complete game, allowing three hits with no walks and five hits allowed. He retired the final 13 batters in order to close out the game. OA senior Reid Latham also pitched a strong game, striking out five, walking two and allowing two runs in a complete game.

Stoughton, 6 @ Canton, 1 – FinalCanton scored in the bottom of the first to take a 1-0 lead but Stoughton scored six unanswered runs — the last five coming in the seventh inning to earn the win and qualify for the state tournament. The Black Knights tied the game at 1-1 with a run in the top of the third, Zak Paquette (single) scoring on a double from Kyle Gagnon. In the seventh, Cian Swierzewski was hit by a pitch, took second on a passed ball, and scored on a single from Paquette. Jacob Kaplan drove in a run with a double, Robbie Seaman plated a run with a sac fly, and Kaplan scored by stealing home to make it 5-1. George Currier added the final run on a passed ball. Evan Jackman earned the win on the mound, scattering four hits with no walks and two strikeouts in six innings of work.

Franklin, 0 @ Mansfield, 2 – FinalMansfield scored once in the third and once more in the sixth, and senior Kyle Moran shined on the mound as the Hornets handed Franklin its first loss of the season. Moran scattered three hits, all in the first three innings, walked one and struck out 10 in a complete game effort. Sam Nugent (1-for-3) knocked in Connor Smith (hit by pitch) in the third to put Mansfield up. Junior John Carney (2-for-3, double) added the second run by scoring on a wild pitch in the sixth. Scott Elliott had two hits for the Panthers, including a triple. Junior Brennan Rivera was strong on the mound in the loss, allowing three hits and two walks, striking out nine with two runs (one earned) allowed in six innings.

North Attleboro, 6 @ Sharon, 2 – FinalNorth Attleboro senior Kyle Bolger delivered the big hit of the game with the bases loaded, knocking in two runs with a double to highlight a four-run second inning in the Rocketeers’ win over Sharon. After Bolger put the Rocketeers on the board, Ryan Warren and Brendan McHugh each had a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0. North extended its lead with a pair of runs in the fourth, with Warren (walk) scoring on a double from sophomore Jared Penta. Penta came around to make it 6-0 on a wild pitch. Sharon tacked on two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Matt Wanless had a strong performance, perfect through the first three innings, finishing with seven strikeouts, five hits, and two walks.




Softball
Stoughton, 3 @ Canton, 5 – FinalLiz Bickett continued her torrid run for the Bulldogs with a homer in her fourth straight game and Katy Lynch provided the game-winning hit with a two-run single in the sixth, lifting Canton to a division win. Lynch also came through with a big defensive play in the seventh that preserved the lead. Sophia Santos went the distance for the Bulldogs, striking out eight to earn the win. Karly Estremera and Brianna Ferrandiz both had a pair of hits for the Black Knights, while freshman Sydney Menz hit a solo homer in the seventh inning as Stoughton tried to rally.

Mansfield, 7 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalMary Muldoon had three hits, including a pair of doubles and a homer, and drove in four runs, as the Hornets pulled out a road win against league-leading Franklin. The Hornets got out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Kara Bendanillo reached on an error and moved to second on a fielder’s choice. Mady Bendanillo walked and both sisters moved into scoring position on a sac bunt by Caty DeMassi before Muldoon drove them in with a double. In the fourth, DeMassi and Muldoon had back-to-back doubles to make it 3-0 and then Casey Mousette singled in the fourth run. In the top of the fifth, Megan Letendre drew a one-out walk and then scored on a DeMassi double. After Franklin plated a pair in the bottom of the fifth to cut the lead to 5-2, Kara Bendanillo made a solid defensive play on a bunt attempt to end the rally. Mansfield tacked on two insurance runs in the sixth. Mady Bendanillo tripled with one out and scored on a sac fly by DeMassi (her third RBI of the game) before Muldoon sent a ball off the top of the fence and out for a solo home run to cap the scoring. Sarah Cahill allowed only four hits to pick up the win in the circle and Sydney Woods added three hits for the Hornets.

Sharon, 1 @ North Attleboro, 15 – Final (5 Inn.)Katy Daby celebrated senior day with four hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in four runs as the Rocketeers moved closer to clinching the Davenport title. Mandi Hanewich went 3-for-3 with three RBI, while Alex Moulson (homer), Ashley Cangiano, and Annabelle Hebard each had a pair of hits for North. Cangiano also threw out a runner from behind the plate for the game’s final out. Senior Makenzie Nardelli added an RBI-single for North. Bella Erti earned the win, allowing two hits and striking out seven while walking none.

Canton, 7 @ Foxboro, 8 – Final (OT)Canton scored three straight goals in the fourth quarter to force overtime but Foxboro’s Charlie Baughan scored with just seconds left in the extra period to give the Warriors the win. Trailing 7-4 entering the final quarter, the Bulldogs tied the game and then nearly had the winner but had a shot hit the pipe late. Baughan finished with three goals and one assist, Pete Conley added two goals and an assist, and Shayne Kerrigan, Bobby Yerardi, and Brendan Tully each scored once. Freshman Matt Tully made 14 saves in net for Foxboro. Canton’s Tommy Vaughan had four goals and one assist, and Griffin Roach, Brendan Clifford, and Dan Cohen each scored once while David Allen had an assist.

Erin Walsh scored five times and had a pair of helpers, while Annie Walsh scored three times, assisted on one, grabbed seven draw controls, and four ground balls. Kenzie Baker also had a hat trick for the Panthers, while Jackie O’Neil scored a goal and had three assists. Gianna Cameron made seven saves in the win.

Taunton, 5 @ Sharon, 20 – FinalEmma Eberhardt had a hand in half of the Eagles goals, scoring six and assisting on four, to lead Sharon to its 11th win of the season. Cass Barbera added five goals and Jenna Goldstein chipped in with four goals and an assist. Bridget McManus had a hat trick and an assist, Athena Merck scored once, and Katelyn Galeota added her first varsity goal for the Eagles. Rose Wald made seven saves in the Sharon goal and head coach Shara Ginthwain said the defense stepped up in front of her, making three interceptions, forcing three turnovers, and coming up with four takeaways.

Attleboro senior Eoin Kelleher needed just 72 pitches to toss a complete game, scattering three hits with no walks, striking out one. Mansfield threatened in the second when Sam Nugent (error) and Jake Lund (double) reached to put runners on second and third but Kelleher got an infield ground ball and a fly ball back to himself to escape. Attleboro took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning when Alvaro Espinal singled and advanced to second on a pickoff attempt. Ryan Morry used a sac bunt to advance the runner and Lorenzo Wilson brought Espinal in with a sacrifice fly. The Bombardiers added a run in the fifth when Camden Fitzpatrick doubled and Tom Callahan had an RBI single to make it 2-0. John Carney was strong on the mound for Mansfield, allowing three hits in six innings, with one walk and one strikeout.

The Warriors plated two runs in the first and then added five more in the second to build a 7-0 advantage. Foxboro tacked on two runs in the seventh while Canton scored once in the sixth and three in the seventh. Sophomores Sean Yoest (run) and Tom Marcucella (RBI, run) each had two hits to pace the Foxboro offense while Michael Devlin (run) and Joe Cavaleri (hit) each had two RBI. Attleboro, 4 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalAttleboro scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie and then stranded a pair of Hornet baserunners in the bottom of the seventh to grab a win on the road. Attleboro took a 2-0 lead in the third but the Hornets knotted the score in the third when Mady Bendanillo smacked a two-run triple to make it 2-2. In the bottom of the seventh, with the Hornets down two, Mary Muldoon launched a one-out homer and the Hornets put two more on base but Attleboro closed out the win. Makenzie Killough went 2-for-4 with two RBI for the Bombardiers, Lora Woyton added three hits, including a double, and an RBI, and Brenna Morse hit a triple. Megan Letendre had two hits for Mansfield while Kara Bendanillo and Ella Verheggen each added a hit. Sarah Cahill had eight strikeouts for the Hornets while Emily Gittle (seven strikeouts) pitched a complete game for Attleboro.

Foxboro, 6 @ Canton, 5 – FinalPeyton Feldman (3-for-4) tripled for the second time in the game and aggressively took home when the throw went down to first on a dropped third strike to score the game-winning run. Feldman scored three times for the Warriors, who picked up and important Div. 2 win. Chelsea Gibbons also went 3-for-4 for Foxboro, while Camryn Willis went 2-for-4 and threw a complete game in the victory. Taylor Reynolds went 3-for-4 for the Bulldogs and scored a pair of runs, while Liz Bickett tripled and homered and Steph Trendell tripled and doubled in the loss. Caroline Hughes threw five innings in relief and allowed one run, striking out three. Canton coach Dave Bohane called it a great game between two improved teams.

Franklin, 0 @ King Philip, 6 – FinalKing Philip Faith Turinese had a strong performance in the circle, scattering five hits in a complete game shutout. Meghan Gorman had two hits, including a home run, to lead the Warriors’ offense. Liliana Rolfe also had two hits and Abby Carey came through with a key single with the bases loaded. Franklin’s Maddy White went 2-for-3.




Milford, 9 @ Sharon, 11 – FinalClick here for a photo gallery from this gameSharon scored five unearned runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, four coming with two outs, and then held off a final inning charge from Milford to secure a season sweep of the Hawks. Sharon sophomore Julia Earley went 3-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, and an RBI, and played strong defense at short with three putouts and two assists to pace the Eagles, which totaled 11 hits as a team. Savannah Gray (double, RBI, run), Ciara McAuliffe (two RBI, run), and Penny Rabatsky (run) each had two hits for Sharon. Emily Botvin pitched three innings in relief, allowing just one earned run, with four strikeouts to get the win. Milford’s Amanda Wenckus went 5-for-5 with a pair of doubles and four RBI, Lucy Creedon (three runs) had three hits, including a home run that put Milford up 7-6 in the top of the sixth, and April Swain (run), Carly Ferreira (RBI), and Olivia Morelli (run, double) each had two hits.

North Attleboro, 6 @ Stoughton, 1 – FinalNorth Attleboro belted out five consecutive hits, all with two outs, to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 5-1 lead, and junior pitcher Bella Erti took care of the rest as the Rocketeers swept the season series with the Black Knights. Emily Nardelli, Abby Gallagher (two hits), Ashley Cangiano (2B), Annabelle Hebard (three hits), and Katie Daby had consecutive hits to put the Rocketeers ahead. Erti tossed a one-hitter, limiting the Black Knights to one base runner (error) through six innings before Stoughton sophomore Nicole Baker recorded the team’s first hit. North coach Bill Wallace said Alex Moulson had a strong game in the field.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Taunton, 15 – Final (5 inn.)Taunton senior Alexa White was nearly perfect in four innings of work, striking out nine with just one hit allowed as Taunton completed a season sweep of Oliver Ames. Olyvia Mendonca pitched a scoreless inning in relief with one strikeout. Jaime Brown (two runs, RBI), Alexa White (double, run, three RBI), Hanna Aldrich (triple, three runs, two RBI, two stolen bases) Tayah DaCosta (run), and Ava Venturelli (two runs) each had two hits for Taunton. Kenzie McAloon (double, two RBI), Rylie Murphy (three RBI), and Kelsey White (two RBI) also contributed to the Taunton offense.

Canton, 10 @ King Philip, 9 – FinalCanton junior Tommy Vaughan scored the game-winning goal with just over five minutes left in the game to help the Bulldogs knock off previously unbeaten King Philip. Vaughan scored his fourth of the game with 5:07 left and the Bulldogs took advantage of a three-minute locked in penalty to possess the ball and kill the final moments of the game. Griffin Roach and David Allen each added two goals while Chris Lavoie and Andrew Canton found the back of the net once each for the Bulldogs. Dylan Coyne had a strong game in net for Canton while Brendan Albert anchored the defense.

Attleboro, 1 @ Foxboro, 17 – FinalFoxboro raced out to a 6-0 lead after a quarter and took an 11-1 advantage in halftime and never looked back to knock off visiting Attleboro. Junior Bobby Yerardi (four goals) and sophomore Charlie Baughan (three goals, one assist) each accounted for four points to pace the Foxboro offense. Junior Aidan Stapleton added two goals and two assists, sophomore Max Biegel had a goal and an assist, and freshman Tom Sharkey and junior Ronnie MacLellan each scored once for the Warriors.

Franklin, 21 @ Mansfield, 1 – FinalFranklin built a 13-1 lead by halftime and then pitched a shutout in the second half, rolling to a win over the Hornets. Senior Jacob Alexander continued to dominate at the face-off X, winning 20-of-22 draws to help the Franklin offense control possession. Sophomore Matt Lazzaro scored six goals and had two assists, junior Jake Davis scored five times and added two helpers, senior Nitin Chaudhury had a pair of goals and one assist, and both junior Ben Greco (three assists) and senior Tim Kolb (two assists) scored once. Senior Will Davis made nine saves in net.

Oliver Ames, 15 @ Milford, 4 – FinalOliver Ames picked up a win on the road to punch its ticket for the state tournament, marking the first time in program history that the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs in consecutive seasons. Junior Shane Kilkelly paced the offense with six goals and two assists, sophomore Remi Creighton added a pair of goals and three helpers, senior Colin Bourne scored a hat trick and added an assist, and junior Sam Stevens netted a pair of goals with one helper.

King Philip, 17 @ Canton, 3 – FinalKing Philip exploded for 10 goals in the second half to run away with a win over Canton on the road. Caroline Klim paced the offense with eight points, scoring six goals and adding two assists while Jess Sullivan (assist) and Olivia Tormey each found the back of the net four times for KP. Haley Izydorczak, Julia Marsden, and Mackenzie Mazur each scored once for the Warriors while Caroline Watson made eight saves in the win.

Mansfield, 3 @ Franklin, 16 – FinalFranklin ran away with the game, picking up its seventh straight win with a 16-3 decision over visiting Mansfield. Senior Annie Walsh (four goals, three assists) and junior Erin Walsh (five goals, two assists) led the offense with seven points apiece, while Kelsey MacCallum added a hat trick and assists. Junior Gianna Cameron had a strong game in goal with 11 saves.

Milford, 9 @ Oliver Ames, 10 – Final Milford scored two straight late in the game to get within one but Oliver Ames held on for the win. Senior Emily Haley paced the Hawks offense with five goals while senior Savannah Rosado had a strong game in net. Sophia Bucal added two goals while Alyssa Williamson and Stella Amour each found the back of the net once for Milford.

The team of Sam Shirmacher and Yash Sakhalkar picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at first doubles while Jonah Fine and Ben Newcomb earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at second doubles for the Hornets. Attleboro’s Jared Cooper won 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) at second singles.

Franklin, 3 @ King Philip, 2 – FinalFranklin won two matches in singles action and won one doubles match in a three-set thriller to edge King Philip in a battle of top teams in the Kelley-Rex division. The Panthers, who entered tied with the Warriors in first in the division, got the deciding win from Saket Gandham and Shoumik Sompally, who pulled out a 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 win at second doubles to give Franklin the win. Liam Marr won at 6-3, 6-3 at first singles and Vayshnav Malhotra didn’t drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. King Philip sophomore Nick Putney won 6-1, 6-2 at second singles and the team of Jack Cannon and Nate Ihley, both juniors, secured a 6-4, 6-0 win at first doubles.

Junior Alex Pfeffer won 6-2, 6-1 at second singles and sophomore Sam Gallagher grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. The team of Vikram Senthilakumaran and Tomas Bentley lost just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 decision at first doubles while Saketh Uppuluri and Justin Strom dropped a total of two games in a 6-0, 6-2 win at second doubles. Elsner won 6-2, 4-6, 10-2, Aryana Khosravani earned a 6-1, 6-3 win at third singles, Hannah Podolske and Sam Sternburg earned a 6-2, 7-5 win at first doubles, and Lauren Hobaica and Alex Burnham notched a 6-1, 6-3 win at second doubles. Foxboro, 3 @ Canton, 2 – FinalFoxboro’s second doubles team of Maggie McAuliffe and Neha Jammula prevailed with a win in a tight three-set thriller, helping the Warriors edge Canton. Milford, 4 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalAttleboro used a walk, a pair of stolen bases, and a base hit to bring in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with a win over Milford in a back-and-forth battle. The Hawks took a 1-0 lead, Attleboro responded with two runs to go ahead, Milford answered with three runs for a 4-2 lead and the Bombardiers plated two with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth to tie it. In the bottom of the seventh, junior Alvaro Espinal walked, stole both second and third, and scored on the game-winning hit from junior Lorenzo Wilson. Attleboro took a 2-1 lead in the fifth when Tim Callahan knocked in Rob Furtado (walk) and Espinal singled in Camden Fitzpatrick (single). Trailing 4-2 in the sixth, Furtado was hit by a pitch and Fitzpatrick had a sac fly to knot the score. Ryan Morry was strong on the mound for Attleboro, tossing six innings with no earned runs allowed and three strikeouts. Eoin Kelleher pitched a scoreless seventh inning to earn the win.

Canton, 3 @ Oliver Ames, 6 – FinalOliver Ames scored three runs in the bottom of the second to take a lead, tacked on two more in the third and added an insurance run in the sixth to get the win over visiting Canton. Senior Reid Latham pitched 6.1 innings, allowing no earned runs while striking out four. He chipped in offensively as well, going 2-for-2 with a sac bunt. Chris Pearsons added two hits, including a double, scored a run, and earned the save on the mound with two strikeouts. Freshman Jack Richardson had a double and three RBI while Jacob Levine and Jared Spillane (two RBI) each had two hits for OA. Owen Lehane had two hits and two RBI for Canton.

Foxboro, 18 @ King Philip, 2 – Final (6 Inn.)Foxboro pounded out 16 hits, breaking the game open with a nine-run third inning and never looking back to earn a win on the road. Michael Devlin had team-high three hits while adding three runs and two RBI, and Brian Duncan (two RBI, two runs), Kyle McGinnis (two RBI, two runs), James Kaeser (four RBI, run), Sean Yoest (RBI), and Adam Lanctot (three runs) each recorded two hits for the Warriors. North Attleboro, 0 @ Mansfield, 3 – Final Mansfield seniors Jake Gerraughty and Matt Scibilia combined to throw a one-hitter and the Hornets used early runs to get by North Attleboro. The Hornets scored twice in the bottom in the first and added one more in the third but only had a total of three hits in the game. The Hornets took advantage of four walks and two Rocketeer errors. John Carney (run, RBI), Kyle Moran (RBI), and Scibilia each had a hit for the Hornets while Eric Longley (two walks) and Sam Nugent scored runs. Gerraughty allowed one hit, walked three and struck out three in five innings while Scibilia issued two walks and struck out four in two innings of work.

Stoughton, 2 @ Taunton, 6 – Final Taunton recorded 11 hits as a team on its way to a 6-2 win over visiting Stoughton. Evan Melo had three hits and knocked in two runs and Jared Roderick added a hit, a walk, an RBI, and a run scored for the Tigers. Jack Moynihan was strong once again on the mound, allowing four hits and one walk with no earned runs allowed, striking out 11 in a complete game effort.

Oliver Ames, 3 @ Canton, 8 – FinalCanton freshman Sophia Santos tossed a complete game, striking out four with two earned runs allowed to lead the Bulldogs to a win over Oliver Ames. Nikki Desjardins and Liz Bickett each hit a home run in the win. Oliver Ames sophomore went 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Katie Abreu had an RBI, Kalei Clark had a hit and a run scored, and freshman Anna Balestino scored a run for the Tigers.

King Philip, 12 @ Foxboro, 0 – FinalKing Philip senior Faith Turinese pitched a complete game shutout, allowing four hits, no walks and striking out four as the visiting Warriors pulled away from Foxboro for the win. KP broke open a one-run game with four runs in the sixth, highlighted by a bases-clearing triple off the bat of Liliana Rolfe. Paige Berdos had three hits for KP while Turinese (three RBI), Rolfe, Grace Kelley (three RBI), and Destiny Goyco each had two hits for KP.

Sharon senior Rebecca Clayman went 2-for-2 with a double and scored a run while Julia Earley had the RBI for the Eagles.

Mansfield, 4 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalMansfield scored three runs in the fifth inning and tacked on one more in the seventh inning that turned out to be the winning run for the Hornets, who had 10 hits. The Rocketeers took a 1-0 lead in the third but the Hornets went ahead in the fifth. Mary Muldoon led off with a double, a single from Kara Bendanillo put runners on the corners and both runners scored on a two-out double from Mady Bendanillo. Caty DeMassi added an RBI double to make it 3-1. In the seventh, Kara Bendanillo singled, moved to second on a fielder’s choice from Megan Letendre, and scored on a tag up play from second on a deep fly ball by Mady Bendanillo. Sarah Cahill scattered five hits and had 15 strikeouts for the win, striking out the side in each the first, second, and fifth innings. Bella Erti struck out nine for the Rocketeers while Emily Nardelli and Katie Daby each had an RBI triple in the game.

Taunton, 9 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalTaunton plated five runs in the third inning, one in the fifth and added three more in the seventh to earn a win on the road at Stoughton, qualifying for the state tournament for the 36th straight season. Sophomore Kelsey White allowed just two hits (both in the fourth inning), struck out seven and didn’t issue a single walk for her eighth win of the year. Sophomore Hanna Aldrich paced the offense with three hits, three stolen bases, and two runs scored. Kenzie McAloon added two doubles and three RBI, Tayah DaCosta had two hits, including a double, and an RBI, Haylee Hartung knocked in two runs with a single, and Olyvia Mendonca added an RBI double. Canton, 9 @ Mansfield, 8 – Final Mansfield raced out to a 6-2 lead at halftime but Canton rallied to earn a win on the road. David Allen exploded for four goals to give the Bulldogs a big lift while Griffin Roach had three goals and two assists. Junior Tommy Vaughan scored the winning goal with 4:47 left in the game. Nico Holmes had three goals for Mansfield, Michael Reed added two goals, Aidan Sacco scored once and had two helpers, and Brady Kessler and Connor Quirk each found the back of the net once.

Thirumavalavan emerged with a 7-6 (7-3), 2-7, 7-6 (7-3) win in a battle with Franklin sophomore Liam Marr. Alberto Olivei added a 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 6-0 win at second singles and freshman Rueman Bhattacharyya grabbed a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles. Franklin’s Saketh Saripalli and Vayshnav Malhotra (first doubles) and the team of Lucas Gulick and Shoumik Sompally (second doubles) both won 6-2, 6-2.

Mansfield, 2 @ North Attleboro, 3 – FinalNorth Attleboro grabbed two wins in singles action and one more in doubles play to beat the visiting Hornets. Junior Alex Pfeffer won 6-0, 6-2 at second singles while sophomore Sam Gallagher picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win at third singles for Big Red. Vikram Senthilakumaran and Tomas Bentley earned the third point for North with a 6-4, 6-4 win at first doubles. Mansfield senior Luke Nickerson won 6-3, 6-2 at first singles while the team of Dheeraj Vallaru and Sam Donellan won 6-4, 6-4 at second doubles.

Taunton, 2 @ Stoughton, 3 – FinalStoughton defended “home court” by winning two matches in singles play and one more in doubles to beat Taunton. Sophomore Waseem Sablon won 6-3, 6-0 at first singles, senior Erik Anderson picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles, and the team of Hassan Khan and LJ Ferrandiz emerged with a 7-5, 2-6, 10-6 win at second doubles. The team of junior Nicole Matheson and sophomore Lauren Anthony earned a 6-4, 6-3 win at first doubles while juniors Rena Danho and Jordan Bernardo picked up a 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 win at second doubles. King Philip, 3 @ Norwood, 0 – FinalKing Philip continued to get stronger as the season goes on, this time earning a 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-9) sweep on the road at Norwood. Cam Corey paced the offense with 29 assists and added 15 service points and Max Armour had 11 service points, five digs, and two kills. Eric Altobello had a team-high 12 kills, Jimmy Peterson added seven kills, and Shea Duffy and Mike O’Brien each put down six kills.

Taunton, 3 vs. Brockton, 1 – FinalAfter dropping the first game, Taunton rallied to win three straight to record a 3-1 win (22-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-23). Gage Kingman had a strong game all around with seven kills, 12 digs, two aces, and going a perfect 14-for-14 on serve receive. Jason Khang was also strong on serve receive (23-of 24), setting the table for a strong attack. Chris LaCourse dished out 36 assists with Tyler Stewart (12 kills, five blocks), Fabio Goncalves (11 kills, three blocks), and Alex Tavares (10 kills, five blocks) pacing the Tiger offense.

Junior Max Amaral earned the win, pitching six-plus innings while senior Anthony Deyesso got the save, getting a strikeout to strand the run at second. Offensively, the Bombardiers had nine hits, paced by junior Tim Callahan’s (RBI) three hits. Senior Mason Houle (two RBI) added two this while junior Lorenzo Wilson (RBI), junior Ryan Morry, and junior Alvaro Espinal (walk, HBP) each had one hit.

Taunton, 9 @ Canton, 3 – FinalTaunton senior Josh Lajoie allowed just one earned run on two hits, striking out seven in 5.2 innings of work to help the Tigers earn a win on the road. The Tigers scored three runs in each the sixth and seventh innings to pull away from the Bulldogs. Junior Jared Roderick paced the offense, knocking in three runs on a pair of hits and a run scored while sophomore Danny MacDougall had two hits and two RBI.

Franklin, 18 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final (6 inn.)Franklin senior Ben Guzman, junior Cody Trotin, and senior Gerard Collins combined to throw a no-hitter as the Panthers improved to 11-0 and qualified for the state tournament. Guzman allowed one unearned run on three walks and five strikeouts in five innings of work, Trotin struck out two and walked three with one earned run allowed and Collins fanned two in a scoreless seventh inning. Senior Jake Macchi paced the offense, knocking in six runs on three hits and scoring once. Seniors Scott Elliott and Alex Haba each had three hits, an RBI, and a run scored for Franklin.

King Philip, 4 @ North Attleboro, 2 – FinalKing Philip erased a 2-0 deficit, plating three runs in the fifth and adding an insurance run in the top of the seventh to record a win on the road at North Attleboro. Senior Terry Murray earned the win, allowing one earned run in 5.1 innings of work, striking out four. Senior David Morganelli got the save, striking out two in 1.2 scoreless innings of relief. Offensively, senior Tim Crowley had a pair of hits and knocked in a pair of runs, junior Robbie Jarest had two hits, an RBI, and a run scored, and junior Chris Sawyer added two hits and a run.

Mansfield, 8 @ Stoughton, 0 – FinalMansfield exploded for five runs in the top of the first inning, building a lead it never relinquished in a win on the road at Stoughton. The Hornets tacked on three more runs in the top of the seventh. Offensively, Dan Saraceno (run) and Kyle Moran (two runs, RBI, walk) each had three hits for the Hornets. Mike Hargadon knocked in four runs and scored once on two hits. Junior John Carney was terrific on the mound, limiting a strong Stoughton team to just two hits while striking out 10 in six innings of work.

Oliver Ames, 2 @ Milford, 7 – FinalJunior Colby Pires allowed just one run on three hits in five innings of work to lead the Scarlet Hawks to a win over visiting Oliver Ames. Pires struck out three to earn the win. Offensively, senior Tyler Almeida went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored and senior Justin Applebee had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Oliver Ames senior Jake Erlich was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Sharon, 0 @ Attleboro, 11 – FinalAttleboro belted out 17 hits as a team, including three home runs, to beat visiting Sharon. Senior Jordyn Lako had memorable performance, sending the first pitch she saw over the center field fence for a leadoff homer in the bottom of the first. Lako added another home run and a double, finishing with three hits. Junior Makenzie Killough (three hits) blasted a three-run homer in the fourth inning while Senior McKenzie Bergdoll also added three hits for the Bombardiers. Sophomore Lora Woyton, freshman Meghan Gordon, and sophomore Brenna Morse each had two hits. Junior Emily Gittle allowed five hits while striking out 10 to earn the win.

Canton, 0 @ Taunton, 11 – FinalSophomore Kelsey White and freshman Olyvia Mendonca combined to toss a two-hit shutout as the Tigers recorded a win over visiting Canton. White allowed one hit without issuing any walks, striking out nine in four innings while Mendonca fanned two, allowed one hit and no walks in three scoreless innings. Offensively, sophomore Hanna Aldrich three hits, including two doubles, two runs and two RBI while junior Rylie Murphy drove in three runs on two hits. Senior Alexa White added two hits, including a double, and two runs scored and sophomore McKenzie McAloon drove in two runs with a double.

Foxboro, 1 @ Franklin, 13 – FinalFranklin exploded for six runs in the fifth inning and tacked on four more in the sixth to pull away from the visiting Warriors of Foxboro. Senior Ally Shea had three hits and knocked in two runs while sophomore Gabby Colace drove in three runs on three hits. Junior Sarah Jackson and senior Tara Hartnett each had an RBI for Franklin.

North Attleboro, 7 @ King Philip, 1 – FinalAnnabelle Hebard had three hits, including a two-run homer, and drove in four runs to power the Rocketeers to their first win over KP since 2003. Alex Moulson chipped with two hits, including a solo homer, and Abby Gallagher had two hits and three runs scored. Bella Erti threw a complete game, striking out six and allowing just three hits and a single earned run.

Stoughton, 6 @ Mansfield, 5 – FinalThe Black Knights scored six runs in the sixth inning to come from behind and pull out a road win. Mansfield jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, with the runs brought in by a Caty DeMassi RBI fielder’s choice and a single by Ella Verheggen. The Hornets added a fourth run in the fourth on a one-out double by Sarah Cahill and an RBI-single from Megan Letendre. Stoughton jumped ahead with six runs on eight hits in the sixth inning. Jordan Lyons led off with her first of two singles in the inning, Nicole Baker singled and Lexi Baptista (3-for-4) drove in both with a two-run triple. Brianna Ferrandiz singled to drive in Baptista, Nikki Coppola followed with a single and Sydney Menz drove Ferrandez in with a two-out single. Karly Estremera (two hits) launched a double to score Coppola and Menz. Mansfield cut the down to one thanks to a run-scoring triple by Kara Bendanillo and a fielder’s choice off the bat of Letendre. The Hornets left 11 runners on base in the loss. Baker struck out nine to earn her eighth win of the season for Stoughton. “It was a great team effort today, to stay in the game down for five innings and come back to win,” said Stoughton coach Deb Parker. “I’m proud of this team, they work hard and never give up!”

Milford, 6 @ Oliver Ames, 8 – FinalOliver Ames played a clean game defensively to earn a win over Milford. The Tigers got contributions throughout the lineup with sophomore Grace Simone going 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI, Katie Abreu went 2-for-4 with two runs, and Katie Mills had two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Colleen Larson pitched 5.1 innings for the Tigers, allowing four runs with three strikeouts. Freshman Bella Berg struck out one and allowed two runs in 1.2 innings of relief. Lucy Creedon went 3-for-4 for Milford with a double, two runs and two RBI while Amanda Wenckus added two this, an RBI, and a run scored.

Boys Lacrosse
Oliver Ames, 9 @ Canton, 6 – FinalOliver Ames coach Ben Devlin raved about the defensive work of seniors Matt Saba, Tyler Campbell, Shane Murphy and Cullen Gallagher and said junior Nick Gillis played great in net to help the Tigers score a win on the road at Canton. Shane Kilkelly, Remi Creighton, and Sandro Masciarelli each scored twice to pace the OA offense.

Attleboro, 1 @ King Philip, 15 – FinalKing Philip seniors Andrew Sajdak and Colin DeVellis combined for 13 points as the Warriors ran away with a win against visiting Attleboro. Sajdak had four goals and three assists, DeVellis scored a hat trick and had three helpers, junior Matt Minkwitz added two goals and two assists, junior Matt Meehan scored twice with one assist, and Senior Robbie Tartaglia, Sam Mattson and Andrew Longobardi (first career goal) each scored once. Andrew McKinney made seven saves in net.

Foxboro, 8 @ Mansfield, 9 – Final (OT)Mansfield scored three goals in the final 1:12 of play to tie the game and then scored 16 seconds into overtime to stun Foxboro with an overtime win. Senior Aidan Sacco (three goals, assist) scored back-to-back goals to bring the Hornets within one and sophomore Nico Holmes (two goals, assist) scored with 10 seconds left to send the game into overtime. Holmes won the overtime face-off and found senior Connor Quirk (two goals) for the game-winner for the Hornets. Sophomores Jake Quirk and Matt Copponi each scored once for the Hornets, who trailed 5-2 at half and 7-5 entering the fourth. Senior Pete Conley had three goals and three assists while junior Shayne Kerrigan scored twice for the Warriors.

Stoughton, 5 @ Milford, 12 – FinalSophomore Evan Hazard made nine saves in net and senior Ryan Hazard paced the offense with four points as the Scarlet Hawks defeated visiting Stoughton. Hazard had three goals and an assist while senior Josh Ligor and senior Brendan White each scored two and had one helper.

King Philip, 18 @ Attleboro, 5 – FinalJess Sullivan and Caroline Klim each scored four goals to power the Warriors to a big road win. Sullivan also added three assists to complete a seven-point day. Lily Brown scored three goals and had an assist and Olivia Tormey had a pair of goals and a pair of helpers. Mackenzie Mazur had two goals and an assist, while Julia Marsden, Jenna Hitchen, and Ali Wilson each found the back of the net once. Caroline Watson recorded five saves for KP.

Canton, 12 @ Oliver Ames, 17 – Final – Oliver Ames avenged a non-league loss to Canton from earlier in the season, earning a win in the league meeting against the Bulldogs. The Tigers had six players register points, led by senior Olivia Piazza’s six goals and one assist. Junior Ella Hogan added five goals, sophomore Emma Pereira scored three goals, and junior Olivia Carroll, junior Sam Cathie, and sophomore Emma Sharkansky each scored once in what OA head coach Nicole Lang called “a great overall team effort.” Senior Maddie Kullen made 13 saves in the win.

Mansfield, 13 @ Foxboro, 20 – FinalMansfield kept it close until the final 10 minutes when the Warriors went on a big run to close out the game and stay unbeaten in the league. Katy Garvin scored six times for the Hornets and Maggie Danehy added three goals. Kerry McCabe, Lauren Whitman, Annemarie McCoy, and Hayleigh Crawford all scored once for Mansfield.

Franklin, 20 @ Taunton, 2 – FinalFranklin junior Kelsey MacCallum scored her 100th career goal as the Panthers rolled on the road. Freshman Jill Fenerty dominated in the midfield for Franklin with five draws and two ground balls while sophomore Ali Socci netted her first career goal for Franklin.

Milford, 11 @ Norwood, 13 – FinalMilford cut a four-goal deficit down to one but couldn’t overtake the Mustangs on their home field. Emily Haley and Annie Flanagan each scored three goals, Riley Campbell and Sophia Bucal both scored twice, and Elena Bon Tempo found the back of the net once for the Hawks, who got back into the game behind some timely saves from Savannah Rosado and draw control from Annie Flanagan.

North Attleboro, 5 @ Sharon, 15 – FinalThe Eagles dominated the center circle, winning 17-of-21 draw controls, to sweep the season series with North Attleboro and jump into second place in the Davenport division. Rose Wald made nine saves to help secure the win. Emma Eberhardt scored four goals and assisted on two others, while Bridget McManus added four goals and one helper and Jenna Goldstein recorded a hat trick. Mia Lappen (one assist) and Maeve Barbera each scored twice for Sharon.

Taunton, 1 @ Attleboro, 0 – FinalFor the second straight game, Taunton senior Jack Moynihan tossed a gem and this time the Tigers put a run on the board to get the win. Moynihan scattered six hits in a complete game shutout, striking out seven. Taunton scored the lone run of the game in the top of the sixth inning as Lucas Martins singled and came around to score on a base hit from Josh Lajoie. Attleboro’s Ryan Morry was also strong, allowing five hits and striking out three in a complete game effort for the Bombardiers.

Foxboro, 8 @ Sharon, 1 – FinalFoxboro junior Michael Devlin shined in his first start of the season on the mound and reached base four times offensively to pace the Warriors to a win over Sharon. Devlin scattered five hits and two walks in a complete game, allowing one earned run with four strikeouts. Offensively, he had one hit, three walks and scored two runs. Joe Cavaleri and James Kaeser (two hits) each added two RBI for Foxboro.

Oliver Ames, 0 @ Franklin, 2 – FinalFranklin junior Brennan Rivera allowed just one hit and faced the minimum, tossing his second straight shutout to pace the Panthers to a win over visiting Oliver Ames. Rivera fanned 12 batters and had the one hit erased on a double play against the next batter. Scott Elliott (run), Alex Haba (double, run, RBI), and Jake Macchi (RBI) each had a hit for the Panthers. Reid Latham was strong for the Tigers, allowing four hits over six innings while striking out nine. Latham also had the lone hit offensively for OA.

Mansfield, 2 @ King Philip, 3 – FinalKing Philip scored once in the second and tacked on two more in the third, holding on the rest of the way to beat Mansfield. The Hornets scored once in the fifth and made it a one-run game with a run in the seventh inning. KP sophomore Jake Silveria earned his first career win, tossing a complete game with just three hits allowed, two walks, and three strikeouts. Silveria also paced the offense with two hits and two RBI. Chris Daniels also had a hit and an RBI for the Warriors. Matt Scibilia and Nick Dumouchel each drove in a run for Mansfield.

Stoughton, 2 @ Milford, 3 – FinalStoughton tied the game at 2-2 with a run in the top of the sixth but the Hawks answered with a run in the bottom half to take the lead back and earn a win over the visiting Black Knights. Danny Corsini (2-for-3, run), Tyler Almeida (2-for-3), and Carter Scudo (2-for-3, run, RBI) had consecutive singles, the latter scoring the first. Corsini went five innings on the mound, allowing two runs on three hits and four strikeouts. Sophomore Mario Lee earned the win in relief, striking out one with one hit allowed in two scoreless innings. Jacob Kaplan had two hits for Stoughton while Kyle Gagnon and George Currier each scored a run.

Softball
Canton, 2 @ North Attleboro, 12 – FinalBella Erti struck out 11 and allowed only one earned run for the Rocketeers. She also had a pair of hits at the plate and drove in a pair of runs. Ashley Cangiano led the way offensively with four hits, while Annabelle Hebard (two RBI), Olivia Capobianco, and Emily Nardelli each had three hits. Abby Gallagher and Alex Moulson each had two hits in the win.

Sharon, 0 @ Foxboro, 12 – FinalAlli Small went 2-for-3 for the Eagles and Penny Rabatsky added a triple in the fourth inning.

Franklin, 16 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – Final (5 inn.)Franklin’s Emily Valentino allowed three hits, struck out five and issued one walk in a shutout performance, helping the Panthers win on the road. Maddy White paced the offense with three hits, a walk, two runs, and four RBI while Kylie Bouzan went 2-for-2 with an RBI for Franklin. OA sophomore Emma Varella had a pair of doubles while junior Katie Abreu also had a double for the Tigers.

King Philip, 3 @ Mansfield, 10 – FinalThe Hornets took the lead in the fourth inning, added two more runs in the fifth, and then broke the game wide open with six runs in the bottom of the sixth to secure a win over defending league champ KP. Kara Bendanillo drove in four runs and the Hornets pounded out nine hits as a team. KP jumped in front with a run in the first and the lead lasted until the fourth inning when Mady Bendanillo homered. Caty DeMassi singled, advanced to second on a sac bunt by Ashlyn Conley, took third on a passed ball, and then scored the go-ahead run on a grounder to second. Mansfield added to its lead with two runs in the fifth. Mary Muldoon led off the inning with a walk and moved to second on a sac bunt by Sydney Woods. Kara Bendanillo drove her in with a single and, after making her way to third, aggressively came home to score when a pitch got away. In the sixth, the Hornets’ offense put the game away. Conley, Ella Verheggen, and Casey Mousette hit three straight singles. Muldoon drove in a run with a walk, Woods reached on an error, and Kara Bendanillo cleared the bases with a double. DeMassi made it 10 runs with a two-run single. Sarah Cahill earned the win in the circle, striking out five. Mansfield coach Lori Letendre said, “Mansfield played with a lot of energy today and I’m so proud of the total team effort.”

Milford, 3 @ Stoughton, 6 – FinalStoughton senior Karly Estremera had a double, a triple, and scored three runs to help the Black Knights beat Milford. Estremera and Jordan Lyons (two RBI, two runs) each had three hits total, Lexi Baptista added a pair of singles and an RBI, and Brianna Ferrandiz, Nicole Baker, and Sydney Menz each had a hit for Stoughton. Baker struck out 13 to earn the win. For Milford, April Swain (run) and Lucy Creedon (run, triple, RBI) each had two hits.

Oliver Ames, 4 @ Foxboro, 9 – Final Foxboro held Oliver Ames scoreless in the first quarter and built a 6-2 lead at halftime that it never relinquished. The Warriors held the Tigers to just one goal in each the third and fourth quarters as freshman goalie Matt Tully made nine saves to help earn the win. Senior Pete Conley paced the Foxboro offense with five goals and one assist while junior Aidan Stapleton scored once and had two helpers. Senior Colin Bourne scored twice for Oliver Ames while junior Frankie Ireland netted one goal and had one assist. Junior Nick Gillis made 14 saves in net for OA.

Stoughton, 1 @ Franklin, 17 – Final

Mansfield, 9 @ King Philip, 17 – FinalKing Philip senior Chris Longobardi won 22 face offs and senior Colin DeVellis recorded 10 points to help the Warriors knock off visiting Mansfield. DeVellis had seven goals and three assists, Robbie Tartaglia and Kevin Riggs each scored a hat trick, Andrew Sajdak had two goals and an assist, Sam Mattson recorded two helpers, and David Lawler and Matt Meehan each scored once. Junior Andrew McKinney made six saves in net. For Mansfield, Aidan Sacco (assist) and Connor Quirk each had a hat trick while Brady Kessler and Jake Quirk each found the back of the net once.

Attleboro, 10 @ North Attleboro, 19 – FinalFor Attleboro, Rylee Fontes netted a team-high three goals, Sydney DiLiddo and Kyra Lyons each added two goals, and Ashley Piazza, Bella Salviati, and Campbell Compton scored once each.

Taunton, 10 @ Canton, 9 – FinalCanton held Taunton to just one goal in the second half but couldn’t complete the comeback. Caroline Tourgee paced Canton with four goals and an assist, Kaitlyn Goyetch netted two goals, and Leah McClellan, Allie McCabe, and Ally Reddish each scored once.

Foxboro, 16 @ Oliver Ames, 4 – Final

King Philip, 19 @ Mansfield, 9 – FinalCaroline Klim led the way for the Warriors on the road with eight goals and also added nine draw controls. Jess Sullivan added five goals and an assist and Caroline Watson held down the defensive end with 14 saves for KP. The Warriors also got a hat trick from Olivia Tormey, a pair of goals from Mackenzie Mazur, one goal from Ali Wilson and three assists from Victoria Tormey. Dana Truini also grabbed six draw controls for the visitors.

Sharon, 19 @ Milford, 5 – FinalSharon coach Shara Ginthwain called it a “great team effort” and praised the Eagles for racking up 10 assists on 19 goals. Emma Eberhardt continued her strong playmaking season with five goals and four assists, while Jenna Goldstein added five goals of her own and an assist. Bridget McManus had a hat trick and an assist, Mia Lappen had two goals and two assists, Cass Barbera scored twice, and Maeve Barbera had a single goal. Athena Merck recorded her first varsity goal and Hailey Roseman added a pair of helpers.

Attleboro, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – FinalTaunton’s Barrett Hodgson and Tyler Goddard battled back from a one-set deficit to win the next two and complete the sweep against Attleboro. Hodgson and Goddard earned a 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 win at second doubles while the team of Trevor Hart and Alex Pugh picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at first doubles. Brett Beaulieu won 6-3, 6-4 at first singles, Charlie Fiske notched a 6-3, 6-2 win at second singles, and Dylan Kullas won 6-2, 7-6 at third singles.

Sophomore Jonah Manson won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, junior Alex Pfeffer picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles, and sophomore Sam Gallagher secured a 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles. Sharon, 4 @ Foxboro, 1 – FinalSharon swept singles action and took one more match in doubles action to hand Foxboro its first loss of the season. Senior Danujan Thirumavalavan won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles, freshman Rueman Bhattacharyya earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles, and freshman Max Chen prevailed 7-6 (7-1), 6-1 at third singles. Junior Alberto Olivei and Max Brody paired together for a 6-3, 6-1 win at first doubles for Sharon while Foxboro’s Noah Hicks and Justin Neale took a 6-1, 6-3 decision at second doubles.

Franklin, 5 @ Oliver Ames, 0 – FinalFranklin lost a total of four games in four matches in a road win at Oliver Ames. Liam Marr and Rohan Herur each won 6-0, 6-0 at first and second singles, respectively. Vayshnav Malhotra picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win at third singles and the team of Saket Gandham and Shoumik Sompally won 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles.

Milford, 0 @ Stoughton, 5 – FinalFour of the five matches went to either a third set or a super tiebreaker and the Black Knights won them all, plus a straight set win at first singles, to beat Milford. Sophomore Waseem Sablon picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles, senior Erik Anderson rallied for a 4-6, 7-5, 6-0 win at second singles and freshman Anish Sinha secured a 7-5, 0-6, 6-3 win at third singles. Juniors Brendon Buckley and Jacob Khang battled to win 1-6, 6-2, 6-1 at first doubles while seniors Hassan Khan and LJ Ferrandiz prevailed 7-6 (7-0), 0-6, 10-6 at second doubles.

King Philip, 2 @ Mansfield, 3 – FinalMansfield junior Nilay Pangrekar overcame a one-set deficit at third singles, recording a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win to help the Hornets edge King Philip in a battle of two of the top teams in the league. Senior Luke Nickerson picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win at first singles while Sam Donellan and Dheeraj Valluru recorded a 6-0, 6-4 win at second doubles for the Hornets. King Philip’s Marco DiStefano won 6-0, 6-2 at second singles while the team of Jack Cannon and Nate Ihley picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at first doubles.

Jillian Pagliuca won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles, McKenzie Lucie picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at second singles and Jocelyn Pagliuca prevailed 6-1, 6-0 at third singles. The team of Sam Martin and Brianna Fevrier recorded a 6-2, 6-1 win at first doubles. Attleboro’s Rena Danho and Jordan Bernardo emerged with a 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 7-5 (7-3) win at second doubles.

North Attleboro, 0 @ Canton, 5 – FinalCanton emerged with a 5-0 in a match that was played much closer than the final score makes it appear. Rachel Kupferman (6-0, 6-1) and Natalie Keppler (6-0, 6-0) both had strong showings at first and second singles, respectively. Sarah Hernandez battled to a 6-4, 5-7, 10-8 win at third singles for Canton. Stelina Michaelidis and Rose Hazam won 6-2, 6-3 at first doubles while the team of Kiara Cerruti and Lily Hazam picked up a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win at second doubles.

Foxboro, 1 @ Sharon, 4 – FinalIn a battle of Davenport powerhouses, Sharon earned a 4-1 win over previously unbeaten Foxboro. Senior Nupur Shukla picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win at first singles while freshman Valeria Barajas won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles for the Eagles. The team of senior Sophia Fein and sophomore Charlize Martinez won 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles while junior Lauren Glass and senior Sachi Basin teamed up for a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles. Foxboro senior Julia Muise recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win at third singles.
